Customer Reviews

I see that previously CSL doesn't have very good reviews. But however for us, we had a great experience today. The facility itself is nice and clean and well organized. The system they have makes sense and flows nicely. I would say that overall it's a positive atmosphere with professional, respectful and courteous employees and staff. We got in and out and a timely manner and in less than the specified time. Also I really like and prefer this location versus the Talecris/Grifols facility off of Western. T

As a return donor, the process was pretty quick! 5 stars for Pat the RN, alexis, kristi, and alyssa. Cindy did great on the stick as always and Oscar is awesome as well. NOW THE PAY and 3 stars: I think the biggest shocker for me was the new pay. When I first started, it was the first 8 for 800, and then it was the first 5 for 525, then it went down to 450 and now?!?! 345 total pay for my weight class over 5 donations AND they got rid of referrals and rewards points?!? I have a big back, what you mean 345 d

It's bad enough we have to wait so long for little pay, the medical staff never leaves to check who's waiting, and if they do they make you sit and wait, one lady seems to be racist. The last time I just walked up to the room and said ?I'm supposed to see medical? she gave me the dirtiest look and told me rudely to sit down. Idk if it me but they need to let medical know people are waiting or step out of there offices to see if anyone is waiting.

The staff that set us up in the back are very efficient. But a couple of the people who do the vital sign screenings are very unprofessional and rude, too passive. They are always talking too loud about their personal lives and business and they act like they don't want to be here. Which makes my experience here uncomfortable and somewhat annoying. I truly believe that some people do not need to be serving the public! However today they had a man named Tommy up front. He is very kind and professional. Brian

Poor experience, Taj and Bri are rude screener, won't stop talking, the line moves so slow because they can't stop gossiping about everyone. Lots of blown veins, not enough staff, lots of gossiping on my donation floor, pay is always going down.

Real mature.. deleting my review over how a NURSE WAS DISCRIMINATING AGAINST ME & treated me so poorly over it. I don't care that I wasn't able to donate, I care about how the hell I was treated and talked to while there! As well as an elderly man with a SERVICE DOG was treated so poorly by the same person too. Word of mouth can do a lot of good, but a lot of bad. Best believe I WILL be telling people what happened and how the ?RN? (if that's what you even wanna call her) treats people!

It does not matter what time you go to this location. It doesn't matter if it's 7 a.m. or 5 p.m. They will always have a line. They have four stations, and only two of them are ever open at a time. And they have a line circling around their waiting room line around to the exit. And then they lower prices. And if you look at the replies, it's just corporate nonsense. So don't apologize.

If you go here better have at lest 2 hours. About a hour to a hour and half waiting in line. Then how ever long it takes you to donate.

It's gotten completely ridiculous. I used to have to wait a while to get to the back and donate but now I am currently waiting like 2-3 hours just to get to the back. Completely ridiculous. Go donate somewhere else. You'll waste more time here than you can even imagine

So mismanaged. They treat their employees poorly and have high turnover. That results in understaffing and long wait lines. Wish there was a better alternate.

3 times in a row now my husband has gone to donate and was NOT paid! It's really super frustrating when that money is needed. I mean who wants to go through such an uncomfortable process to not even get paid? SMH

I went in to donate today, I had a much better experience than previously. I deleted my previous review and they were on point today. Thank you.

I've been coming since the beginning of the year to donate. Most of the staff are friendly. There's a couple of things wrong though. Some days the wait times for screenings are ridiculous. One of the staff members was rude to me and had me waiting 20 minutes after I was done donating. When I said something about it because she went to someone else that was done after me, she was rude to me. I couldn't see her name tag cause it was inside out but she's a young Hispanic woman. Experiences like this makes me n

I went in a few weeks ago. i was a new donor. Waited about 2 1/2 hrs (not complaining about the wait time), got to the "nurse" and she tells me that I can't donate because "I didn't eat the correct food". So all this time wasted to end up being told that I didn't eat the correct food! Place looks 1/4 full of drug users and drinkers, and I'm not able to donate. Make it make sense. Guess they don't need donors after all.

There are a lot of good workers here but when you let one careless person get away with messing up my arm because she wants to go home early and doesn't care if she messed your arm up it shows. They didn't tell me what to expect, there's no repercussions for the people who weren't acting professional when they handle your body they treat it like who cares that we filled your arm up with a ball and clotted up your blood

When I first started coming here around 2 years ago I thought the service was great! Lately, not so much, feels like it's turning into Talecris with the wait times and unprofessionalism. Was told I needed to give a sample and gave one then called a day later to be told ?oops you shouldn't have been told that, it wasn't needed.? Come in to donate and told I have to see medical?waited and waited people going in to see the nurse that were after me just to find out I was never checked in! Bunch of clowns! I hat

Sometimes it goes well. Other times like today, I noticed that when they don't have a line, they sure do start chit chatting a lot. Move about as slow as possible. Assured me that there were two nurses in medical and only one person got processed in about 30 minutes and they'll just stand back there and talk and stare at their line that's getting bigger instead of moving it. Really need some work on efficiency. This has nothing to do with anybody training that was arrogance. Then they wanna get all shitty w

These people have literally zero respect for your time. If you have any sense of self respect what you need to do is go to one of the many other plasma centers in Amarillo. They are not the only one. First off it is extremely hot in there and the line to get processed goes right out to the door and the line to get into the beds is even further. It is a complete waste of time and energy. I have literally tried to go at all different times and days over the past two months it doesn't matter what I do the time

This place is an absolute joke! I went in and was left for over an hour and 15 mins in the "waiting room" while these young children kept taking people who came in after me before me. Finally I said something and they finally put me in a room at a desk with some lady who couldn't even get logged into the computer because she needed training. Then a young girl comes in and starts the onboarding process and then asks me to answer a few questions on a screen and said she would be right back. Took me all of

My first time donating I went in at 3:45pm and didn't leave till almost 8 due to the amount of waiting. And on top of that NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONES THERE.... the amount of frustration from that is insane. I had someone call me and the call dropped, tried calling right back to see what they needed cause they didn't bother calling back and no one answered the phone for 30 minutes of me trying... I'm going to find another plasma donation center this is ridiculous.

Staff was professional. Came in as a first time donor to find out that I wasn't supposed to eat any dairy or high fat foods (eggs and sausage) so I cannot donate, but have to go back the next day...Super inconvenient and wasted two hours of my day waiting. This kind of information should be on the website and much more readily available.

I went to donate last week for the first time and ever since then my arm has been bruised and swollen they told me they didn't stick me correctly and that it's not a big deal but I can't even work correctly because of how bad my arm hurts I can't move it all the way straight and I can't lift things that are slightly heavy the person who stuck me didn't seem to know what he was doing! Thanks for ruining my first experience donating plasma I will not be going back or donating again

Long wait time could be waiting up to 3 hour if line long, would suggest going somewhere else

Savanna and all the staff in back where every helpful and kind and answered any questions I had

Most of the staff is very nice but a lot are unprofessional. Speaking about a previous staff member being fired and their personal bad habits. That is none of the customers business. It's gives the place a bad look because if they will talk about a previous employee then they will speak about the people that come in as well. Every time I go in there is gossip.

Loved the Location in Amarillo TX. I was a new donor and instead of making me wait we got Thu everything pretty fast I got there at 11:30 Am and was completely done by 1:45 PM. I did not even feel the needle stick and no run around health questions straight to the point and quick. Other places it took almost 3 hours to get me in as a new donor and plus I switched because their pay scale is a bit more cash then the others and the new donor pay is on point. The other places cheat me out of $5 to $10 so I made

They're not very professional here especially if you're trying to call for information. I stayed on a ringing line untill the ringing turned into a busy tone I did that about 15 times in a row you would have thought 30 minutes if ringing someone would answer the phone right , nope not at all . I've done this Saturday and Friday and Thursday all this week the last week of October 23' . I call before since I live more than 30 minutes away from the center. I just needed some information from them before I left

yesterday on feb 16th i went to go donate and it was the worse experience i?ve ever had coming to this csl building off of bell. i got sat down and one of the employees savanna was the person who was poking me i used to donate plasma a year and a half ago and i knew exactly how it needed to be done and i kept trying to explain to her my veins are small and where the best place was to do it and that yu have to do it at a certain angel. and have gauze under the needle to help with flow. the machine that does

Staff is nice and professional but obviously overworked. They're horribly understaffed and it shows in the wait time. It doesn't matter if you come in the morning or evening there will be a minimum wait of 30 mins before you even go to the floor, more if you come at peak hours. Anytime I ask a staff when is a good time to come they honestly say there isn't one anymore. They'll have one person screening, one person sticking, and one connecting/disconnecting. Because they are obviously understaffed, staff ca

I wish I could give 5 stars, but I can't. The pay is better than other places around town. That's a big plus. But some issues I've run into. I moved from another state. I've donated plasma a lot. I've never had any issues with my veins. I've never had any issues donating. I usually donate super quick. I stay hydrated. I've never had an issue. But then I came here. They almost always mess up the poke, and leave me with big nasty bruises preventing me from donating for a while while it heals. I have notic

The screening team are awesome and go as quick as they can. Very helpful. The team in the actual donation area is a different story. It's pretty frustrating when your in there for way longer then necessary because some of the team are just messing around. There are two girls who are there working every time I go and are SO unprofessional. Constantly just yelling across to eachother messing around, pretending to run to eachother on the floor. Holding eachother, dancing yelling Spanish and English so loud ev

I went to donate after a rough day and Melissa was my disconnect person and made my day by being kind and funny. I cannot thank her enough for her amazing attitude. The staff overall is quite nice and seem like they get along well. The donors are relaxed when they are donating as well. I recommend this plasma center!

Never have enough workers to handle the steady stream of donors 6 stations only 2 open at 1:30 pm. It doesn't matter what time you come in you will be standing in line up to 2 hours!

I love this place! They are always kind and get to you asap! Cindy is my favorite! Everytime she sticks me it goes in so easy. I anticipate the worse just cause I don't really enjoy getting poked but cindy is kind and gentle and she 100% knows what she's doing.

A few months ago I would have giving them five stars but now they don't even deserve one the staff here are very rude unprofessional and some appear to be very racist their staff consists of young Spanish kids that talk more than they work and the ones that actually work pick and choose who they want to help it's been this one person by the name Domiana that I've had to complain on for her rudeness and instead of the manager SASHA fixing the problem she applauded her and now they all act just as bad I have

So out of all the donation centers I have been into this is the best one. I drive long haul across the country and do this in my spare time to help people. This center seems like they all work in harmony with each other, the staff are all nice and respectful and the center was clean. Very fast and efficient. Keep up the good work ????

One of the Latina girls inserted my IV wrong and I was in pain throughout the entire procedure but I really needed the cash but now I have permanent damage to my right vein it still hurts till this day. She was laughing and talking about how she was thinking about getting burritos for lunch. Smh

As a two year platinum donor with hundreds of hours spent donating plasma at csl, I can assure you, you'd be better off donating behind a dumpster with a used needle than using csl. Unpredictable changing payments, poorly trained staff, insane wait times, and just a terrible experience. Don't give them the chances I did, and switch.

They treat you like you're just a number. Which I'm not suprised. They sit around chatting all day making mistakes which affects a person's whole when the mistake is made because you try to stay hydrated and adjust the day before. To make matters worse, if they do their job correctly, it takes an hour to get in now. They also bump the cart into my leg every time I come. Wish I didnt have to come here.

The facility is super clean and the staff is welcoming. The screening is efficient with the exception of seeing medical staff. This part of the process has taken between 30 min to an hour each time. I understand there is a process but it is a bit inconvenient, especially with only 1 person completing this part of it. Otherwise it is a great place to donate plasma!

This is by far the worst center in Amarillo. They allow their staff to talk bad about you with no repercussions. They allow their corporate trainers to talk down to the new employees. It took 5 hours for my first and only donation at this center. I would not recommend this place for anyone. The other 2 centers in town are much better and are nice and kind to their donors no matter who they are.

I wasn't able to donate because I am currently on insulin, but everyone was very nice, and I was told I can come back when I switch to oral meds, and this insulin is out of my system. The facility is very clean. It took about an hour to get the first steps done. It all seemed very streamlined.

Usually have an OK experience donating. But when I was there this afternoon just everything seemed to go wrong. My machine kept beeping and no staff would come check on me. Then at the end of my donation a lady stocking told the two staff ladies 3 or 4 seats away from me I was almost done and would need to be disconnected soon they both said OK. I literally sat there done and complete with the needle in my arm freezing from the saline waiting to be disconnected and the two ladies in charge of disconnect in

When I first entered it was welcoming, however about 30 min in while donating. A different CNA approached me (different than the one who stuck me) he starts messing with my needle. When he moves the needle my vein immediately popped and i felt pain. After that he told me i needed to do my other arm. I refused and he said that i wouldn't be able to come anymore if i didn't. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous. I left CSL with a messed up arm and half of the accorded money. My experience overall was painful

Place is unprofessional. They will make you wait an hour and a half just for a physical, they are rude to the patrons and they do not take your time seriously.

Awful inexperienced, phlebotists. They the two time I was there I saw 3 people get deferred due to ignorance on the staffs negligence. I've donated at ked several times and never have had my arms as bruised as when they did it. If you want to donate just go to ked they pay more anyways.

Their professionalism has gotten bad over the year and what's the point of them having a phone if they never answer or when they do answer they hang up

I spoke with Alexis this morning and OH MY GOODNESS. She was incredible.. Explained everything very well. Super super kind on the phone, which is something you look for when there are 3 plasma centers to choose from. My husband & I will be donating at CSL from here on out. Thank you Alexis for making this decision 10 times easier to make.

Wait times are horrible can't ever get anyone to awnser their phones and don't contact you if you've been differed for even the smallest reason you have to waste your time and resources just be told you can't donate its ridiculous

This facility is incredibly unprofessional from the uncertified staffing to the maintaining of soap and paper towels in their bathrooms and blood on their machines. I went as a new donor on my very first donation I witnessed another donor collapse, she was brought back to consciencness and still used for donation. Then upon my 3rd donation witnessed a "receptionist technician" blow 4 donors veins including my own! A phlebotomist is supposed to be the one sticking people not a receptionist! This receptionist

Honestly, they are an awesome place for the most part, but here are some things that made me raise my eyebrows. There are times some of the phlebotomists are so engulfed in conversation with each other that they're not really paying attention to the person they're about to place a needle in. Really, it doesn't have to be conversation, but at times they seem distracted. The time that stood out to me in particular happeneded to be a pretty busy day (and it obviously does not apply to all of the staff). Having

They permanently deferred me just because mangers want to go home a little early and quick disconnected me and their nurses couldn't get my vein without hurting me. And the manager told me he would clear me to come back and never heard anything back. Also people who were still COVID positive we're still going in and trying to donate some not even wearing mask. Poor management at this location too.

The facility is super clean and the staff is welcoming. The screening is efficient with the exception of seeing medical staff. This part of the process has taken between 30 min to an hour each time. But it's a great place to donate

They were good at first but now they are slow and it looks like they only care about the new donors.. I am going back to telecris grifols. There is literally no one here and have been waiting and skipped for the new donors for about 40 min. Stay away if you think time is precious. I m about to leave and switch from this place.

After having been to other CSL Plasma locations I see just how poorly run the amarillo location is. They are either understaffed or are not well organized. Either way it took me and my husband hours to get through with really only a handful of people there to donate.

Yesterday yesterday my husband called CSL plasma before he had to walk 6.5 me to get there to see if he was able to donate and he told me after he got there they said he was unable to donate until Friday when she had gotten a ride that causes him $10 to get there with and then walked 6.5 miles back 6 hours out of his time of day and on top of that he was working with a torn ACL for God's sake he's saving millions of people's lives at least give the common courtesy to Double check when someone's on the phon

Made me wait 30 min to see medical for a dime sized bruise on forearm. The female with the horrible at home highlight job is a total B! Don't go here

Dont loose your card and get a replacement. I've called various numbers, they provided- - just got a run around. I've been on the phone over an hour and back to the center twice. Old card is not cancelled, the new card is invalid.NO ONE seems to be able to help.

My husband only comes to CSL. The staff is very polite and very helpful and friendly. They also give you more than other places. Neat clean environment. Recommending CSL plasma to everyone who wants to help save lives.

Best donation center in town. I was super impressed with the timing of the screening process. When I got to the phlebs, I was impressed by all of them. I had to get restuck and they were gentle with me. Everything went smoothly and they cared about me as a patient. I would refer anyone to CSL

It socks I get in at 845am and sat in the bed waiting to be hooked up finally got hooked up at 10am. Slowest plasma team I've ever seen. There will be 20 workers and only 2 people actually working the rest just stand around. I will be changing plasma places.

They are unorganized. Not all staff is friendly. Noticed they dont always schedule more than one phlebotomist. Phlebotomist dont always hit I have had to be restuck multiple times. The way they pay is based on weight which isn't always fair. Just over all not the best place I have donated at. The phlebotomist kept missing my vein and just paying me out and I got deferred for their mistake not fair to us when your phlebotomist aren't doing their job right.

Your staff is incredibly rude. I don't care how broke I am I will never go back. ?? there's other plasma places in amarillo.

I just moved here to TX and don't have any proof yet of my address, they refused to let me donate once until I get proof. I've been donating over a year at CSL in AZ and never seen a plasma donation place be so rude. I just wasted nearly $30 on bus fare to get here, never coming back to CSL again. They wouldn't even accept a picture of my lease agreement as proof. Every donation place I've been to, and I've went to quite a few across the country, will let you donate one time without proof of residency.

I waited in line for over an hour and then froze the whole time I was on the bed and then to make matters worse the lady that disconnected me messed up on paying me and instead of someone clearing my payment they tell me it won't be on my card until 8 pm. This place is a joke. The managers were rude and when I asked someone from the front to help me they said there isn't anyone managing who can help.

The more fat on your body the more you get paid! Other centers in the area offer the same $ to all donors. This makes staying with CSL a difficult decision... my medical screener was quick . Trisha was great!!!! I didn't even feel the 17 gauge needle puncturing my skin. My flow stayed at normal with hardly any hand pumping needed

The over all experience. 1. I answred the questions to the best of my knowledge completely and accurately. 2. Some of the questions are twisted and very easily be mis understood by anyone 3 The blood draw was slightly messy. Blood shot all over the place and got on my cloths. 4. After recieving a complimentary " you are not eligable for donation letter" I was treated rudely by staff. On October 26th I recieved another letter from CSL. this was not necessary by any means. It is possible to have a faulse posi

I love my experience with this center... completely appreciate medical making sure that my health and safety is their first concern and making sure the center and donors respect each and every one of their donors and keeps a professional appearance assuring all donors dress appropriately to respect other donors. High five to management!!!!!

I went to donate plasma for my first time ever about a month ago. When I made it to the back and got hooked up the phlebotomist was poking all around in my arms. Every since then my right arm has been effecting my everyday life. It continuously goes numb and has a pain like my nerve is damaged. I called to ask for help and they told me there's nothing they can do about it, I need to go to a hospital. That will definitely be my first and last time.

Ok so I usually love this place. In and out no problem.. But yesterday I was finish donating and the person who unhook me (not saying their name don't want to get ppl in trouble) straight up farted next to my face and it smelled really bad. Like I had to cover my nose and hold my breath bc it was sooooo bad almost puke myself

Would not recommend this place at all. I had some very unclean unsafe situations during a few different occasions, the last time with blood splattered all over me and the seat. The seat and arm rest was not a priority to get clean, especially for the next person that may have to donate in that spot! Won't ever recommend or consider donating at this facility again!

Kassandra is the rudest employee I have ever met. I'm basically bleeding all over the chair and she makes this "my fault" gives me attitude when all I'm trying to do is have someone take the needle out of my arm. FIX YOUR ATTITUDE AND JUST HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS.

Forgive the messed up name. Low score because FDA removed the donation restriction on individuals living in UK during Mad Cow outbreak in May 2022. CSL receptionist states they are still following the old rules

They pay is better than all the other plasma places here but be prepared to wait a long time because of it lines are sometimes ridiculously long and if you off by one point on vitals you Risk getting deferred for the day and wasting all that time in those long lines.... Three stars cause that's a bad policy heart rates fluctuate constantly and to fail someone for one point is ridiculous

Great staff, good atmosphere and they have their process down to an art form. Been a loyal donor at the other big name plasma center and ever since I tried out CSL, I will never be going back to the other one.

The card they give you money on is EXTREMELY hostile. Can't transfer money to Square Cash or my bank, get charged a fee with every use, and after just a few months get charged insane ?maintenance? fees. They prey on people needing an extra buck to make tons of money on expensive pharmaceuticals.

The place is going down hill fast they treat you like your a piece of meat upper management is rude to customers its like you are just cattle going to slaughter I would think twice about this place

If you want tweakers plasma then help yourself. This faculty is unsanitary and surrounded by meth seeking zombies. All my veteran comrades stay away from here. Wait till I black list this place with the VA. Good luck!

Everyone here is so helpful for first timers. Their professionalism has not changed over the months that I have donated. It's a laid back, comfortable atmosphere and I truly appreciate that!

The pay is good but there services are slow there employees like to stand around and talk while they have a long line making ppl wait for 45 mins to and hour before even getting seen

This facility is brand new and in immaculate condition! the staff was very friendly and answered all my questions and my donation process was fast and efficient. Will return without a doubt.

Great staff always up beat! They help you feel really relaxed throughout the entire experience!

Look I've been coming here for a little over a year now and it just keeps getting worse and worse, I've been sitting here waiting to get stuck for 30 minutes now and they are still calling people back and they have yet to even acknowledge 2nd bay!! This is completely and utterly ridiculous and you cannot sit here and tell me they are short staffed cause there are multiple people back here doing nothing!!

James at the front check in likes to play stupid games with peoples time. Makes the center look bad with his childish and unprofessional behavior.

Pamela was my favorite. So sweet and wonderful. I have enjoyed coming to donate.

Have gone 3 times since they opened and will keep returning ..no wait ..longest I spent there was 2.5 hours and that's because I had to do the physical and everything..they been nothing but nice..best rates in town also..definitely recommend!!

Last time I was in there my arm was sore for a couple days and I got bruised too and I even call about it and nothing and no one answered the phone and I go in there alot and when I was donate I told them I hurt and nobody say nothing and every time I go in there they are always on there phone or doing something else and not paying attention to there costumers so I won't be back and it was better when Ruby and Shawna was there and working there I love them ?? and I always stay hydrated too

Brand new facility. I thought staff was really nice and professional. I would recommend this place over the others in Amarillo. I hope they keep up the high standards.

Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
