CSL Plasma Calumet Park, IL

Everyone here is a blast to work with Especially Bre and Roxi! They make the experience here comfortable and fun but unfortunately it's always packed in here due to the short staff. I'll come in here and leave almost 3 hours later which is such an inconvenience for myself and others here. Workers and donors! Do better because these kind people seemed stressed and overwhelmed. I am currently updating my review for those to see with a picture. This is how long the line is! This is ridiculous. I came up here

I want to give 0 stars. I was a bit skeptical about this place because the amount of people that were there I feel like they're moving too fast, and I was a new donor never donated before and once he stuck me, it felt weird and then my machine began to make a noise so the lady came by and told me to keep pumping and gave me a pumping ball However, I told her the cough was not tight and she instructed me to keep humping and they are very uneducated. It caused me to have an infiltrated vein.

I don't usually do reviews however I need to talk about how absolutely time consuming it is coming to the specific facility. They have another location in hazel crest I would strongly recommend that one based off the fact that most of the workers here at the calumet park location are not time efficient. They spend majority of their time talking amongst each other instead of ensuring there is a seamless donor experience. Truth be told if you don't like your jobs quit. The staff is nice, but in the morning they take a long time to start calling people to be screened. The phlebotomist in the back don't move with any urgency they just be talking and the line be really long. And they don't have enough beds for the people that are coming to donate. Plan on being here all day.

I been there donating for years. These blood pressure machines are acting Shakey. 4 times my pulse was down. I never have that problem at octophrama. I drink water before I get here. I ready to go back to octapharma if this not straight.

I donated for the first time on 09/24/24. I told the nurse on the floor that I had small veins before I even sat down she said okay that's fine. After one cycle I started to have a hematoma in my right arm ( A blood clot in the arm due to being stuck wrong ) . Due to that I wasn't able to get my blood returned back to the right arm . The head nurse stuck me in the left arm in order to get my blood back so that's twice I got stuck in a day she told me to come back on the 26th . I came back on 09/27/24 to

5 stars for the staff! But of you have a history with seizures and taking certain meds. You will not qualify. I wasnt qualified because of it

they employees are too rude for me sorry like not all of them but the stickers in the back become so rude especially when they have a bad day

I can tell yall this now, it don't be the staff. It be packed because it seems everyone that comes in doesn't have a job. So they come to donate plasma and spends it on liquor or weed immediately. Then complains why it's so packed, idk maybe get a job? Utilize that money for better purchases like it get it we broke but it don't be the staff lmfaoo; then yall come back two days later to spend the only money you got on liquor or weed.

Unprofessional?. Got turned away due being short staffed after driving all the way there this is type of behavior that discourages people from donating will not be returning.

The staff at this location are very rude and unprofessional, and inexperienced. Including the manager. They had the customers waiting in line 45 minutes before anyone was called to a table. When I asked why, the gay employee with a bad attitude said because they only had 2 stickers. When I asked why, he said because they keep quitting. When I asked why again, he said because of poor management. He then proceeded to give me hematoma and deferred me. Worst place ever.

so the people were very nice but i feel a little cheated. I went there once and got a hematoma. My first 4 times was supposed to be $100 a piece. However, since i got a Hematoma through no fault of my own and the donor payout is now only $100 for donating twice. I called to ask for an exception since i was forced to wait it out and they said its nothing they can do.

Love it there definitely different experience than I prepared for... staff has thought me soo much met some interesting people who donate there all around great experiences

First of all, I like to say thank you to all the staff and Security for their professionalism I had such a great experience. I would recommend CSL Plasma in Calumet Park to all my friends and family and if there was 10 stars to give them I would give them 10 stars.

VERY NICE, VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND PRETTY FAST.

Had my first plasma donation here today. Unfortunately, my body reacted pretty poorly to the donation process, almost causing me to faint, so I won't be going back anytime soon as a result. However, the staff here handled the situation impeccably. I highly recommend this location if you're looking to donate plasma for your first time.

First time back in over 3 years.. and this location was clean and fast. The guy who does the physical are excellent. But then it all went to hell. Staff in front just standing around talking to each other. A few ladies in the back are horrible with the blood draw process. The management just sit in the office, talking, eating and looking around. There on line services do work once you get into the center. Example you can make an appointment online but once you get here they don't honor the appointment. onl

It's cool the people are friendly but they don't have any seats. You have to stand and lean on stuff. It's one intake that needs some customer service training.

The plasma center opened 15 minutes late today at 10:15, and many donors had been standing in the sun since 9:30. There was a line of at least 50 people. Front staff informed us there was 1 phlebotomist. Front staff was very rude to the donors. I hadn't been there in 2 months, so I had to see the nurse. Clean Facility Nice Staff Process Was Easy / Normal, Donation Was Smooth ???

I always go to this location. This is my 5th and last donation. There were two ladies left as I came before close. An Asian and a black girl with dreads. The girl with dreads messed my arm up so bad. I kept telling the Asian girl that my arm really hurts and to stop it, they didn't take me off till 15 minutes later. Clean facility with kind staff, but no gentleness. I did a donation today, and my arm is busted. It immediately bruised within seconds of sticking me. My other arm is still bruised from 3 1/2 days ago. Now I'm super nervous I wont be able to collect my new donor bonus, because they likely won't let me donate in either arm when I go back for my last visit since they're both bruised . I really wish people would read the reviews of this place prior to coming here. The staff that does the pre screenings are awesome. The staff that works the floor are clueless & unprofessional. It's like they hire anybody off the streets to work here. This location should hire a new fleet of people. They act like they could care less about working here anyway.

By far the best place I've ever been for plasma donations. I don't go often because I have somewhat of a phobia with my own blood and needles. Staff is super kind/friendly, very attentive and empathetic, and overall just very pleasant. I wish I could remember their names but everyone I encountered, from start to finish, was just great. This place has really grown on me. The staff is the nicest I've experienced especially compared to other plasma centers. I see the same staff every weekend, so much so that they have become like family. Weekends are usually a bit busier so you must be prepared to be patient.

The staff cares about the work they do, even when they are busy, they apologize for the wait. Which I appreciate, being acknowledge goes a long way. I love coming here, the artwork they put on the glass is awesome, and every visit, something new appears. Including their quote of the week. I have a few favorite technicians, but all in all. If you are a new donor don't waste your time. I made an appointment for three o'clock. The place was completely empty so I thought this would be quick.There wasn't anyone at the front desk. So after waiting 30 minutes I was told that they don't honor appointments and it's a first come first served type of service. After sending me away saying that I needed to eat something again but to be back before four o'clock. I so did what was asked of me only for them to tell me that I can't donate because he doesn't

Super slow. Was there 45min no one in front of me. They never did attempt to start the screening process. That in itself takes time. Just didn't start so I left. Won't be going back. I really don't think it matters to them if you donate or not. It's like they have enough loyal customers and they really don't need anyone else.

It was a quick easy process. I got there @11am processing time took about almost a hour. Once all my information was in the system, the donation went by quickly took me 40mins. Everyone there was very nice especially Paris she was very helpful. Just drink lots of water the day before to make everything go by quickly.

This Place bad for business had me waiting over 3 hours and 22 minutes and I haven't been here and 2 years and couldn't donate they working have mouth on them but I fix it for them and no structure at places they don't take care what need be done no one never at work I visit here today June 23th 2024 and haven't been there n 2 years

I have donated at CSL for over a decade. Recently, I started going to different locations. I'm currently donating right now, and this is my third or fourth time at this location. 1st time donating and everything was great. Staff was nice and friendly the inside was nice and clean. I had no problems they answers all question and definitely recommend coming here for fast and great service but the kiosk was very annoying but easy?.?? keep up the good job.

Ok. Just learned how flawed their 7 day system is. Saturday resets the week so if you busy all week and can't come in til Thursday or Friday. You can never get the extra $ for your 2nd donation because by the time you come back after the standard waiting period a new week has started and you'll get compensated just like it's your first donation. That's a poor system. If you can come in Saturday through Wednesday then you have time as long as you return by Friday.

Great customer service very clean facility. Very quick you will not be there no more then a hour if you are a regular donor like me very very sacrifice ???????? highly recommend

This place is really great I referred my husband had to you know call to get the money they tried to say that I wasn't eligible for a referral bonus but they found it and did it really easy one of the girls will poke you and don't leave bruises it's great I have not had a bruise since I've been here and I've been donating anytime I possibly can

The more I go to this place the more I see how unprofessional they are. If they not lieing promising bonuses they are laughing and talking while you are waiting for an hour unnecessarily!! I heard a staff member actually tell another staff member not to apologize for the wait! Horrible service I came in at 11 and the lady told me I had to see medical. by 11:50 I decided to go to the back to see what was taking so long and the nurse said disingenuously ?they didn't put you on the que?. She then told me that the reason I had to see medical was because I had to consent to the use of my biometrics.I read and signed then asked her if she could skip me to the front of the line. This place is slow. 45 minutes at least to be seated, while u watch the staff argue or chat or talk about anything but getting that line down. I've been to the location on 183rd and that place puts this place to shame in speed and customer service. The staff is nice but it seems to be a lot DRAMA here among the staff between each other. Corporate needs to have a course on approaching others and do a coaching session at this Calumet Park location! Or else they need to overall just separate the workers and send to different locations.

Before I tried going here, I would give my friend rides to this location. Half the time they were suppose to be open, they weren't. The other half, they closed early. My friend finally convinced me to try & go there. I went in as a new donor. I was there 10 minutes before they stopped taking new donors. (They usually stop 2 hours before closing time because it takes about 2 hours to register new donors) I was told they couldn't take me because cut off time was in 10 minutes! Cal park is thee slowest company known to man..always under staff, with a wait time of over two hours daily

This is the best CSL Plasma location I have ever visited. I've tried 2 other locations and here at Calumet Park they do an outstanding job. If you're looking for your go to spot for plasma donating look no further. The staff is courteous and polite, they are friendly and make you feel welcome. If you're nervous about your journey of plasma donation this place can make that alot easier.

The Calumet Park CSL Plasma center was a pleasant experience for my first visit. Paris at the front desk was very professional and helpful with all my questions. It ashamed that you can be standing in line for 30 mins with only 4 people of head of you and when your the last one in line one of the receptionist ( which is light skinned guy ) just look at you, because hey I wasn't a guy he just looked at me and start having a conversation with one of the other receptionist. Horrible staff from the manager to the supervisors to the employees multiple people are incapable of doing the simple jobs form start to beginning, also on multiple occasions the center is always closed, but there's always workers there so they're getting paid to do nothing on top of that you call corporate and corporate reaches out to management management act like they do the job but of course they don't and nothing happens or changes made. I was hesitant to go to any plasma center as there are so many mixed reviews for so many locations but I had a very pleasant experience here. Everyone there was very nice and courteous which made the experience more enjoyable. I would just plan to be there at least 3-4 hours your first visit (depending on what time you go).. and drink PLENTY OF WATER BEFORE AND AFTER DONATING PLASMA!!! They need fire or retrain their phlebotomists. I've been here 8x and ur going to get a rough stick, an attitude and definitely a long wait no matter how many ppl are here. You'd think more ppl would mean a faster experience but they're too busy talking instead of moving the line. They'd rather send new donors out the door instead of just providing them a mask. I can't see this place being open too long.

They're unprofessional & untrained. The machine messed up & as they were switching me to a new machine, the lady didn't close the line & my blood went EVERYWHERE! It was all over the bed & floor. All of the staff here are personable, and patient. They tell you everything they are doing and are willing to answer any questions. The facility is bright and Inviting.

It's always something that keeps me at the location for multiple hours! Sewage smell, no phlebotomist, lack of communication! Having donors wait for hours without acknowledging them.
