Reviews Summary

The reviews show a polarized experience: many complain about extremely long wait times (3-5 hours), understaffing, rude or unprofessional employees, and inconsistent medical practices. Negative experiences highlight poor management, cold temperatures, and inefficient new machines. However, positive reviews praise friendly, caring staff and smooth donation processes when things go well. Compensation reductions and strict deferral policies frustrate donors, while some appreciate the cleanliness and professionalism of certain locations. Overall, satisfaction heavily depends on individual encounters with staff and timing.

I've been donating here for quite some time. Generally I have a good experience. Their are a handful of employees here that work very hard and do their best to make things run smoothly. They need a raise and a promotion. Joseph and Cameron are always a pleasure have around when I donate. They always make it a better experience.

There is a small handful of really helpful staff members. They seem like they enjoy their job but the team dynamic is definitely off. I don't know if it's management or if it's more personal but this place lacks a lot of accountability when it comes to most of the staff and any kind of ?hustle? mentality. They are slow to do everything and the majority seem to lack the genuine care for the people they see every day. I don't give reviews often and I give 1 stars even less but I hope that the feedback will sp

I've been giving plasma for about 12 years here. I take my time off and on, just however life deals with me. Since I've started, Everytime the staff is great! I have no problems with the donation process. The line gets long but it always depends on the day. It's easy to see why that is when you get paid generously for your time. I always advise new donors to pick a day when you have time and be patient. I highly recommend anyone who needs cash and has the time, go by. You're doing a service for many who ben

Understaffed. One person for new donors and each is taking over an hour for the process. I have been in the past and it did took ONLY 30 minutes for the process as a new donor. It was a two hour process total. Now it's up to over a four hour process. New management needs to be put in place to better the process for fast service and better efficiency. Moreover, a receptionist is needed to answer phones, questions and give proper and necessary information to new donors. Phone line is never answered. This faci

They are ok, they just never answer the phone when you need answers. Other than that, it's ok. People just gotta remember, they get trained there. Just be patient and mindful, yes some of them have attitudes. But don't we all?

If I could give it negative Stars I would. From $60 to $45 just because I lost 10 lbs, SUPER FREAKING WHACK! ???????????????????????? I'm going back to grifols because they never gave me that problem

Supper slow workers seem not wanting to work they take there sweet time on purpose and supper rude when trying to ask a question!!!! Also when you call they put you on hold or hang up on you !!!! Very unprofessional place they need workers to get job done right worse experience ever !!!

Edit: I'm raising to a 4 because the staff is so great but I hope they find a medical director who is capable of being there when they are needed not when it's convenient for them. First, let me start by saying that the staff is great! They do their best to be welcoming, efficient, and caring. However, when it came down to it, the medical director ruined it for everyone. I was flagged for having low protein, gave a blood sample, and was tested normal within a few days... But... TWO WEEKS later I have still

Customer service was/is terrible. The staff looked and acted like the hated there job. Or didn't want to be there. Especially Lisa. She was my first person I spoke with. Not all staff was terrible. At least that's what I was thinking as my time went on as I was there. Then I got to finally donate. And the I sit in my seat to get my blood drawn. And I received another woman who looked like she hated her job. And it was evidence as soon as she started speaking. Gave me what she must tell all the parents becau

Highly do not recommend to come unless you have the whole entire day free. Staff is very slow. They clearly don't know what they are doing, oh and they will make you wait even longer to see medical because they "assume" your arm looks brused from your previous donation.

After waiting 5 hours for what idk the people here are so slow. They won't let you donate if you had a baby almost 5 months ago but let drugs addicts walk in and out. The bathrooms smells so bad and are super dirty. There was literally a coke bag floating in the toilet. Never again

Horrible place ! Don't come here. The guy that was connecting me to the machine messed up my vain and made me bleed a lot for no reason. There was blood everywhere, even on my purse. Horrible !

All staff are very sweet and make sure you're well takin care of and facility is super clean. They make sure you're comfortable and have everything you need. Especially Liv she's very gentle when inserting the IV in and also removing.. As a first timer donating plasma no bruising at all the next day. Staff is very well trained. Would love to give more than 5 stars.. Ya'll are all awesome.. Keep up the great work!

Staff needs To learn how to be Profesional Having attitude and rolling their eyes NOT GOOD

Personally the best place I've by far been to with donating! Safe is always laughing and smiling. Check in safe explain to women in particular when your levels drop fun fact: up to two weeks prior to menstruation time they can see levels dropping, they give advice on what to eat and how to keep above 40! Love this place!!!

Do Not Come To This Place Unless you have 5/7 HOURS TO KILL !!! WISH I WAS EXATURATING...... It used to be a good place to donate. NOT ANY MORE. Avoid AT ALL COST

Started using this location (since transferring from EPTX, albeit this is the only center in CC), & so far so good. I've only had one very terrible donation this month (June ?24), a young lady that paid me no attention during my check-in & then a same experience in the end, otherwise this center is definitely a bigger & well organized than my last center.

Skeleton crews?? Only 6 people working on moving the line? 2 up front, 4 in the back. That's NOTHING. Don't lockdown the normal exit and detour us, just to lock the front doors as well. You gotta let us out somewhere. Also, would be nice if there were wine kinds of monitoring system, so people couldn't hold places in line. It's the same thing as cutting the line. The new machines are terrible, they are not faster as yall claim, they constantly alarm and take longer than ever. They also tell the guest not

I was discriminated against because I have stable multiple sclerosis which is against AMA, ADA, MS society, and red cross rules. Their medical professional has absolutely no medical training - zero. He is a clerk masquerading as a medical professional. I know this because I am a licensed registered nurse with a masters degree and he admitted that he has zero medical training. I am reporting this place to all the federal agencies i can think of. BEWARE THIS IS SO MEDICALLY INAPPROPRIATE.

Staff is very friendly. Just dislike waiting for 3/4hours to be done donating within less than an hour. The new machine did mess my arm up 2 weeks ago tho. I'd add the photo, but unsure how to do so.

I'd given this place a 5 star when I'd first donated. I'm changing it. yesterday I was deferred for 56 days, the technicians are nice and try. but I usually leave with both arms bandaged. I had 4 technicians come adjust the needles. yes needles because both arms were used. i get asked if I hydrated enough ( yes I do ) if i ate well ( yes i do ) yes I have difficult veins and let them know as I 1st sit in the chair. there is only 2 technicians that are great with my veins there. yesterday my right ar

Waited for 3 hours for them to tell me I needed paper from doctors about me getting blood drawn for screening. Nothing posted about this paper was in car they told me I had to wait again wow. I will never go there again they could have gone with me to car to get paper rude ppl count your days

PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! These people scam you out of your points & management is rude. Nobody calls you back. Nobody tries to help you. If you call the point system number nobody will help you they will give you the runaround. Nobody knows anything management says one thing and the point people say something else they scammed me and my family out of $400 in points and we went somewhere else I really would give them no stars but I have to pick one. I LITERALLY BEEN CALLING 3 WEEKS EVERYDAY AND NO ONE HE

Use the code: WELS36RNM0 If your new you can use that code when you sign up to get 500 free points. When you get 1000 or more you get cash bonuses from 10$-100$. This place is better than the rest, it's usually not busy, and they are for the most part amazing at their job. Very well trained employees and a very quick process that takes less than one hour to draw your plasma.

Less than 1 star is more appropriate. Used to be great, I've been doing this a side hustle for about 3 years and I have watched this place steadily decline. Used to be great when Dennis and even Sam ran it, but the managers they have now are clueless how to schedule staff, confrontational when donors voice complaints, and they talk condescending and degrading to their employees. The pay scales are lower than before and unfair regarding to weight classes getting the same pay rate. They recently lowered the

The staff is very nice and very helping everybody is really nice and polite

Went yesterday for the first time. The staff was great, they were very kind and professional. I'd give five stars if it weren't for the excessive processing time, it took longer than it should due to the redundant questions I had to answer. I answered the same questions three or four different times. The overall experience was much better than I expected. I highly recommend because of the staff. (Even the processing wasn't terrible)

Once again the so called new machines are broken again. SMH come on CSL get it together

Awesome experience I went already haying it for the simple fact that they poke u with a needle but it's not that bad at all

My first experience was ALMOST my last. They were short-staffed and the process took over 5 Hours!!! HOWEVER, the staff is friendly and every donation since has been very quick. The place is very clean, and any concerns or questions have been immediately addressed. The manager even called me to provide follow-up information after I'd left! The fact that she went above and beyond wasn't lost on me. EVERY establishment will have the occasional bad day. I'm really glad I gave this place a second chance. T

Sat for 30 minutes waiting for med staff for a routine health record update. Had to leave eventually because I was going to be late for work. If constant medical updates are a requirement, why not hire enough medical staff?

Everything went okay however when I was about to donate my veins were too small to donate but I've just never had good veins, I don't like being told that I have a poor diet and being told that I'm not drinking enough water as the reason why my veins are small. Just tell me my veins are too small to donate. I don't need the wrong explanation as to why.

Love to donate but today I went and they don't send out a notice to the doners that they will be closed due to plumbing issues...

Big fat Ashley with the 8 ball pool shifter hairdo is the worst. These people are poorly trained and very unprofessional. I suggest never going here.

I like all of the staff! They have always been fantastic. BUT?. This CSL has the lowest return donor fees of any CSL I've been to. I'm in the lowest weight category and I get $35 per donation. For the wait time and amount of money CSL makes off of our plasma, they should definitely be paying return donors more each visit.

Lines were short (I usually donate in the morning). Staff were friendly the past four times I've donated. First Donors take around 2 hours so be prepared for that. Your other visits will still be pretty long. About 1-1.5 hours to finish. The staff were able to insert the needle into my veins the first time every time. I did not get any bruising all four times I've donated. Pay is immediately put into your personal debit card they give you. So far everything has been going well!

So after a 3 hour wait I am informed that I have to go to medical. I refuse to go and instead go home and file a complaint. When I get called back from the complaint the woman accuses me of yelling in an attempt to end the call. After informing her that not liking my question about why I was in the front by for 3 hours she tells me to have a nice day and hangs up on me. This place is not worth the time or frustration.

Right now lovely but in the past let's just stick to now Tnank you.

After being screened and told I was good to go, the screener came and pulled me out of line to tell me I answered a question wrong. She corrected it and AGAIN told me I was good to go. Proceeded to wait in line for 2 HOURS!!!! Just to be told I needed to go see medical for the same reason I was pulled out of line the first time. Get there and they say they've been calling me (in the medical office area, not the donor floor). Told them I was in line bc no one told me I had to go to medical. Whatever. We go i

The lines are stupid long the workers are rude they be playing the pay sucks please don't go here you will be in line for 4 to 5 hours just for 45 to 60 bucks that's all u get it's not even worth donation at this place

Worst place medical. Is a joke they will let someone donate with a cut with puss coming out of it but won't lete donate. Because I. Have a bump I had since I was 15 and. I. Have never had problems. Before. Y'all are the reasons. I will no longer. Donta hope you. Like. Play like you a. A real doctor ur. A nurse. Not a dentist

I'm sure not all of their employees are this unprofessional however one employers of theirs clearly does not know how to listen to patients or read the same waivers that make patients read. After messing up on my blood return, which I understand happens sometimes, she continued to attempt reinsert the needle back into my other arm after me repeatedly telling her I do not wish to continue. It wasn't only until I had to beg her not to that she went and asked another employees who finally said they did not ha

A physician was Called Because I had not taken my medicine in 5 days.. The Doctor said it's OK for me to donate. My blood pressure was perfect 130 / 74 . But the medical Assistant thought otherwise. So why did you call the doctor. Lets say I'll never be there again. I have been going there for 7 years. And not once Had A problem

Joseph L. is absolutely incredible!!! I've been coming here for quite some time, and EVERY time not only is he Professional... he's so kind!!! Not just to me, with every patient he helps!!! He's definitely worth requesting Upon a visit!!! ??????

Donating off and on for 18 years. Have done it all over the country while in the military. This is the ONLY one that takes 2 hours to make up things to deny you over. Literally nothing for me has changed in 18 years and I can donate at every CSL except for this one. And they are the slowest to process donors in the country. You can get quicker help at the VA and those appointments are scheduled 6 months out

Service in front to get examined is fast and prompt. As for service in back i have niticed as well as others have made comments regarding staff standing and not acknowledging you when going to the back to get on a bed when there are quite a few emoty beds available and staff is just walking by and talking to one another. Also, once your machine stops and alarms to notify personnel of service being done they are too busy installing new hoses and canisters tto additional machines that it takes longer to get d

Horrible place I tried 3 times to do my first donation the first time I went in there halfway through the process the computer system went down so I got turned away and had to come back a couple of days later. Second time I had to go through the whole process again and dealt with a young lady that was falling asleep while running me through the process. I get to the section where they do the testing and they were short handed I got turned away for the second time. And now here it is the third time to do my

if you have over a 99.5 temperature you cannot donate even when you feel absolutely fine. I was 99.7 today and I got turned away, even though I needed the money. For some reason vitals can be taken multiple times but not temperature. I am so pissed off that is so stupid. Then the manager comes and just tells me the exact same thing the girl told me. Unprofessional and rude. I never thought I'd say that. Matt is awesome though.

Michelle was the most fun EVER! She made my husband and I 1st visit painless and Amazingly Awesome! We were checked in and the procedure went by fast We just know to bring a blanket because it was freezing ? cold WoW! Update for 02/20/19 This is Stacy Montgomery made it home and I just want to Greatly Appreciate everyone that assisted me today during my unforeseen consequence today I wish I knew all the staff by name that stood by my side but you know who you were Nurse Mel(can't recall of it was Melanie or

Three bays open, not one of them had more than 5 people in the beds (each bay has 12 beds) the line was a dozen people deep and the 8 workers were huddled together chit chatting. It took 3 and half hours to donate while watching those empty beds grow larger in number. I think new management would do wonders for this place. If, big if, you get through the screening (they will spit numbers out to you that you cant see for yourself and tell you you are not eligible, oddly enough, it only happens when the pay r

Have not been in facility yet in Corpus Christi on Ayers, and may NOT GO. I have been calling for two days straight. Some calls are cut off, rings till I get a busy signal, answered then hung up on. So if this is there customer service then I can imagine what the staff is like in person. NO THANKS. First impressions are the only ones that count.

This is an awesome way to help out others in need of plasma for life saving purposes. The fact that I am able to get some money for my donation is a great thing to! The staff here are very cool people who are very friendly and easy to talk to. I don't feel unappreciated whenever I come to over and donate. It is a great way to spend an hour or less of ones time because it's TRUELY a blessing all around.

Rude. Dirty. I've come here on and off for years. I moved a cooler and am very fair skinned. It irritated my tattooed arm and they wouldnt let me donate cause ?it looks knew? even though 5 other people passed me because one opinion I can't? They let me donate three days ago and that wasn't a problem? Don't ever go here. They will just scam you and waste your time.

Been here multiple times and have only been able to donate once. I'm fine, feel good, feel healthy. But they find an excuse to keep me from donating. They don't need donors, if they did they wouldn't go out of their way to nit pick and find any little thing to keep ppl from donating. This place is a joke and I think they are liars.

I was very disappointed with their services. The process took about one hour to get processed as a new donor. Everything was fine until the screening questionnaire. The question asked if I ever had sex with a same sex partner. I stated yes. I am a gay man. They deferred me because of that. I already had my 60$ card in my hand. They took it away. I thought they were discriminating towards gays. Get with the times people where society accepts same sex marriage. I was really upset.

The first time donating was fine, however the second time, the girl who put in the needle didn't seem to know what she was doing. I could tell in her manner that she had done something wrong, but it didn't hurt any more than it had the first time. When they came to remove the needle (a different person removes it than the one who put it in) they kept asking me who did it. Obviously something was wrong. Several of the girls look alike and it took a while to track down the girl who did it. The two techs t

Overall took about 4 hours, due to screenings but actual donation was only about 45 minutes or so. Very friendly staff, very welcoming. Great experience and was paid instantly after donation. Get there early though! At around 930 am, an hour and half into my process, there was a line out the door

The service people are rude and have stupid rules that don't make sense. There scales and thermometers are always off so occasionally you don't get to donate which sucks when you're looking forward to it. I don't know I guess I thought CSL Plamsa was a good place with a good environment but they make sure that that dies down quickly. I will never go again after one of the mean Asia ladies didn't let me donate cause I was under weight (under 110) which I haven't been under 110 since my freshman year in high

I like CSL, most are merely ok as is this one. Sometimes the whole patient intake to bed is 2hrs sometimes 20min. Time of day and luck matters. Typically I arrive about 15min before opening and I get a bed in about 45min. About 70% of time that is typical. A couple times they opened at least an hour late or more. Staff doesn't always unhook from the apparatus in order of donation completed like today. Group of 7 of us. Last guy completed was unhooked 2nd. Real lousy service IMO. I thought their tablets tol

Not worth the time, money, or pain after the 1st month. Returning donors don't get near as much. You would think loyal donors would get more..

The lady who does the physicals is a joke. i guess she is clearly a tattoo expert as well. Telling me my tattoo is not a year old. When I clear know how old my tattoo is.. Wanting pictures and proof. So now I am deferred for a whole year because I couldn't show her pictures with a date.. Haha your a joke. I have donated there before but it has been a year since I went back. I will never go back there.

I tried multiple times and I was told I couldn't cause I have tattoos , or scratches on my arm from work , and everytime I came back It was something I had to verify my address then they couldn't accept that address and overall horrible staff and experience

My boyfriend and I went, and my first piece of advice if you're a new donor with them is to arrive as early as you can, preferably right before they open, because the process of checking in, and going through all the newbie stuff takes up to 2 hours alone. The staff was friendly, and the place was really clean, and they are big about safety, and cleanliness. Word of caution if you have a mild diagnosis of epilepsy, they won't let you donate, even if you have donated blood before with no problems, they canno

Wasted an hour of my day there, sat in the new donor waiting room for almost an hour after watching their video before getting into a screening room just for them to tell me my address is not accepted and i can't donate, if i move i can try to donate again. Maybe if that is a deciding factor you could check that first. I eventually found out it's a federal rule they have to follow but I would like that figured out sooner before people have to wait to get rejected.

The place is too cold. 60 degree Fahrenheit and they say it's 68. My friend caught them changing the temperature of the room, and they didn't do anything about it. It affects his pulse and temperature. A girl he described is known to defer anyone in the littlest things. She should be fired. Not letting anyone donate nor get their bonus to pay for bills they can't afford or for themselves. We have lives too. Apparently you guys don't understand that.

The wait is outrageously long. The people that work there are extremely GHETTO. They talk about their personal life in front of donors. They play around like kids in front of donors. They curse in front of donors. Then the first tech that inserted the needle into my arm didn't put it in correctly, I sat there for an hour with this needle in my arm and no blood was flowing thru. Then someone came to "fix" it and was just prodding the needle around in my arm, I finally had to ask her to switch arms. My arm wa

This week I decided I would go and donate Plasma. I checked the website to see what documents I would need to bring with me for registration. The website read to bring a valid government ID, SS card, and proof of local residency. Well, I had all three items. When I gave all three documents to the person at the front desk, I was told I would not be able to donate because my DL (a Government ID) and SS card did not exactly match. My ID has my maiden and married last names, and my SS card only has my married

Been here two times. The first Time was as a new donor and from research I knew I would be here for 3 to 4 hours, but you get a free pass to skip the line next time so I felt it was ok. Plus the actual donation was flawless, perfect experience. The second time was not so pleasant... I had a guy who tried to start the process by inserting the needle and he couldn't find the vein. He did not know what he was doing. He went from one arm to the other and inflatrated my vein causing a huge hematoma (not to menti

Well, Josr, I don't really believe yours is a legitimate post because it takes a LOT longer than 1 hour to process a new donor. From start to finish, it takes about 3 to 4 hours just for processing for a new donor, and that's not including the time it takes to actually donate. That's an additional 2 or so hours until the money is finally placed into your account. As for being discriminated against because you're gay? Hogwash. You are definitely a high risk donor, so they have to take extra precautions and m

Call for basic question since I just moved here. They don't answer the phone. Ever.

It's the best plasma place in town. Is there a wait yes, but at least they try. They probably need to open a second place somewhere else to even the wait time down. The Bluff would probably be a good place.

I just think why if there as big as they claim to b why do they low ball there clients. 60 the first four times and 25 after working its way by 5 for there month. Now the other place here in Corpus Christi pays 75 the first four times and 40 after.

They got new machined now so it goes faster.

Donating is quick and easy staff wonderful. I give kudos to jose! Never feel the needle shes the best.

Clean Place with a Friendly Staff. Debit Card IS Convenient, Even IF They Charge You to Use It. Tons of College Kids and Day Laborers There. I Have No Earthly Idea How People Donate 4 Times a Month, Or IF There's Ever Any Kind of Blood Screening Going On, But It's The Same at ANY Plasma Bank. Convalescent Plasma For The Pandemic! GO TEAM! I LOVE The Idea, But It Takes FOREVER For The Track Marks to Go Away. I'm Still With You In Spirit!?

I waited for a thousand new donors with that stupid express pass literally. Stood in line as thousands of express passes just kept coming in NEVER giving me the chance to donate cuz I have hours n no life to just keep waiting and no one say a thing it's unfair and unorganized professionalism.

Staff is rude never answer the phone or questions and if you ask a question their only answer is its on the website which is entirely inaccurate only get 1 star cause 0 isn't an option

The staff was very kind.

Sat there for 2 hours and 6 minutes. Then i was told that my address is listed as a business and the only way i could continue with the "screening" process was to let them call my landlord, let them identify themselves and question my lease!!! Yea i want my new landlord to know im donating plasma!

While some of their staff are knowledgeable and have good technique, most do not...you have to pray that the ones that are good at what they do are working the day you donate and request them when you are in the back waiting to donate.....this company should look into a better training program as the one in place is not producing the results it should be.

Love this place the workers are amazing and nice and never have to wait on service it's a great experience every time I go

The staff are competent. I've had bruising once but that's it. They're mostly pretty nice and just doing their job.

Typically this place is great though be careful of the vitals they like to screw the first vial up and take another on the same finger to deferr you for 2 weeks so they dont have to pay you the bonuses which is the only way to make more than 200$ a month which they advertise you can make twice that amount which isn't true except for the very first month you donate and you have to donate 8times within the same month of starting to get that kinda of cash

Absolutely unbelievable. This is August 8, 2020 during a World Wide Health Pandemic due to the coronaviris. This is a medical facility and i really expected CSL Plasma to be complying with Neuces County mandatory prevenative measures. On their website it states they are but NO. You can walk right through the front door WITHOUT a mask but you can get one at the desk? Social distancing? Thats a negative, beds are 3 feet apart, six foot is the social distance. But you can REQUEST to skip a bed??? NO tem

CSL Plasma has drastically reduced the amount of compensation they off !

Not busy cause they still haven't opened

I went to CSL Plasma. Center for 7 years faithfully and after hurricane Harvey hit I had lost everything Nd FEMA put me Nd my family in a hotel in welm since we were staying there they deferred for life at the calplasma center. so ya , have more compassion, and really be there for your customers, and change your gloves after every stick and last but not least ,stop playing games with people lost every thi, ng. I would NEVER donate there again.

I am very upset with them because they constantly say and post a sign saying that their system is down know well that their system isn't down. The workers are there every time while the doors are locked with the sign on the doors.
