The simple fact that you guys allow your employees to lie and make up stuff to be able to disqualify someone from coming in to donating very unacceptable and situation should have been looked at from camera and from people that were standing right there. I felt as if there was no repercussions for her knowingly lying about what happened to purposely disqualify someone for bad behavior when none of what she said was true, and you guys could have easily seen it from camera and witnesses that were there. My fi
They locked the doors early today. I used the last of my money to Uber here to donate and now have to walk home. Pretty shady business practice. They did it again. This company and their lazy employees need to do better. If you wanna close earlier than 7 change your business hours. I had to take an Uber here from work and the security guard looked at me and said we are closed. Even though your posted hours are until 7pm. And the only thing I get in return is a "sorry please let us know about your experienc
I have been donating here for a while and I'll tell you maybe 2 staff are nice and professional the rest including security bully the people who take the time to donate at this place just to be met with very rude and mean staff this donation center has major issues I donated before at other places and yeah always a rotten apple in the bunch but CSL is rotten all around who treats a customer taking time out of their day to come to this place with such rudeness so you people not understand professionalism? I'
I was waiting to donate Wednesday 1/22 and upon arrival I noticed the line was extremely long. The management team barely was assisting on the floor when there was a whole line. The crackers were not replenished and many many many people were waiting in line for over 2 hours. Only one phlebotomist was sticking at a time and no managers to assist with sticking. Overall I wouldn't recommend donating here.
98 times out of 100 everything goes just as intended. There can be issues that are related to staffing more than anything else. The staff are pleasant and professional.
Disappointing Experience at CSL I recently visited and was disappointed with the poor service I received. Unfortunately, the staff seemed unorganized, unfriendly, and unprofessional. During my visit, I encountered several staff members with attitude problems, which made my experience uncomfortable and stressful. The lack of courtesy and respect was evident, and it seemed like they were not interested in addressing my concerns. As a customer, I expect a certain level of professionalism and respect, especi
I donate here frequently, and tonight when I went in to donate I had my fiance with me, the guy in front of me was suspected of being high off of weed, they sent him home.. I got my vitals done and everything was fine, they wanted to take me back to the nurses room to tell me they pointed me out as the person who smells, mind you I don't even smoke!! If you smoke that's cool for you but that is not my type of party. Anyways, they pretty much told me to leave, my fiance got to stay.. even though we rode in t
Understaffed and slow with sketchy technology. Most people here try, but I'm sure they're burned out. It's unacceptable to stand in line to check-in for 45 minutes to find that your system "can't find me". You guys don't pay enough to waste people's time like that.
I have been coming here over a year , the staff always made me feel welcomed. Most of the know me by name, ask questions about what we chatted about last time and even though I have a favorite person to stab me ( Beman ) they all deliver a personal level of service. I have referred several people there and they all enjoy the atmosphere as well. The music is usually a hit, and the staff keep things fun . My only complaint is they won't dress up as vampires on Halloween. Lol.
Twice in this last week I've been met with a closed center during listed business hours. Disappointed and set back because of this.
I've been there 3 times and they keep telling me my levels are to high to donate. I honestly think there doing on purpose. There like high 55 then tell me my levels are 55 and to high to donate. And they don't compensate you for coming. This place use to good now it sucks and you gotta wait like twenty minutes just to get to the donor floor after testing. Lazy employees and slow workers. I'm not coming back.
I'm always happy to come here. The place is clean and well run. The staff is fantastic. I've always had great experiences with the phlebotomists. I was having tough day and Bemen really helped out. Really made things go smoothly. Kyle is great too with his donor interactions and his knowledge. Highly recommended.
Do not change gloves between patients and cleaning machines and table tops. The intake people don't change gloves before and after pricking your fingers and " sanitizing" table with tiny alcohol wipes. The people doing the needle sticking clean off donor machines then come Right to you with the same gloves on to fiddle with your line or disconnect it. Seriously this is healthcare 101. Hand washing, gloves, etc. seriously ridiculous but at the end of the day some places cut corners and others don't.
I have been going here a year and I ADORE and LOVE the staff here. They've made it the BEST experience ever coming here, they are more than their positions and it doesn't go unnoticed. That being said -- the higher ups need to get it together for their team. There is currently not a single empty seat in the donor floor but only 2 phlebotomist?! Y'all -- come on don't work these guys into the ground they are apart of your front line! There should be no reason there isn't at LEAST 4 people working together on
I've never had a bad experience at this center and I've been coming here for about a year. Sometimes the wait is long but that's out of their control (though, hey, management - hire more people!) The staff is FABULOUS. Very friendly, caring and professional. It's like getting to hang out with friends. Friends that take your plasma, but still friends!
They pay good but the staff alone makes me not want to go. The Mexican guy with the beard and extra high top fade is rude and I stopped him right in his tracks with the disrespect.
Be careful when going here. They can miss the verification process. When you bring the concern up with the site management. You are greeted with calling three time to return managements phone call. Instead of answering the phone the pick it up and instantly hang it up. The verification process according to the site management ?is not needed, it's a new site policy and can be missed. It's not a big deal.? Choose if safety concerns ?not being a big deal? is worth it to you or not.
Staff are nice but everything here is so goddamm slow.
Just saw staff get into it with a African-American man who came across as pretty reasonable when he complained but the nurses were kinda rude to him. very unprofessional. The customer is always right, other than that a good place to donate
The BEST place to donate! Wish it was in a better area but that's fine. Staff is amazing, and very helpful and cares about the donors also place is very clean! Always in and out with no issue! Thanks everyone at CSL! Y?all are amazing!
On my lunch hour, which I come here alot during this time, sat on a bed and waited 45 min to get hooked up. Just nurses standing around. I think the ladies were just eating for the other staff to come on so they didn't have to do anything. If you have stuff to do, avoid this place at all costs. SDone of the staff seem really racist, as they never help white donors. Seems shady
The security man was very rude I don't even go to this business due to health problems however while I sat outside and was trying to find directions to where I was going he came out a yelled at me. Very unnecessary and unprofessional. Thumbs down for employeeing someone like this.
The receptionist are great. I specifically want to point out the one receptionist that helped me and answered all my questions throughout the whole process. I can't remember her name but she has dark hair , braids in her hair she's awesome. She's very friendly and knows how to communicate. She also did my screening and she pointed out some very good tips when donating. This was my first time ever donating and she made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Other than that all the other staff there is great. Tha
Hands down a Great experience. Fast and friendly they have some of the most chill and relaxed yet professional people there. Bemen and Victoria have always been there when I've come in they conversate with each and every person, it's not just a job for them and you can tell they truly care for each and everyone of the people that come in. The center is clean, no lines, no waiting... if you want to be more than just a donor go to CSL and be apart of something so much more..... keep up the great work!!!
Last Saturday, walked in and greeted by Cameron and later by Trisha. The day before I had a bad experience with Bio-Life on SE 14th. Trisha was able to get me set up and able to show me around on how their system worked. I was able to donate that very day, and get a $100 pay-out by a debit card. This was a a great experience and recommend this business to others. Next, I want to try their raffle and win a prize.
Bemen and Anthony always do a perfect job. Keep up the great work!
Staff is great, They just dropped lowed the money you make by five dollars and they dont Tell you until you're done.Time to find a new place to donate. Bullcrap
I love coming here for the staff. Well the back end staff is the best. Especially Beman. His confidence puts me at ease. Thank you
I've had great experiences here! It's always quiet and the employees are efficient and professional. Very clean facility. Usually in and out within 90 minutes - I have never had to wait to be screened, stuck, or disconnected for more than five minutes. I have donated at three other companies, and I've found that my experiences here are the most efficient and timely that I've had in the Des Moines area. I will continue to drive 17 minutes to donate here from where I live in West Des Moines (and that's saying
Didn't say nothing about being closed on your website. I paid $8 for Uber to get there. I was going to give me my money back and there was $10 just taking off of my card today February 18th and I did not use it at all so
The female worker ty is totally unprofessional.
I had been considering trying plasma donation. LOW & BEHOLD, it had opened a week prior to my first donation. Honestly very respectful staff & very friendly. Oh by the way its clean, doesn't feel like a oil change shop. Not sure what the one star review was about. Seems kinda cringe. It was clean and friendly that counts for at least 2 stars. Good staff as well.
staffs are friendly, and fast at checking you in and the whole process. Really like the way the back is handled, very smooth. They have been able to stick me without bruising me. This is the place to donate.
They have equipment that is outdated and needs replacement before someone is injured
Management does not train employees right. Was told by 4 employees I get the 100 dollars for 3rd donation for being new. Went to the counter were believe manager was gonna put it on then said no it's been over 60 days since last donation and I don't qualify. I even called and was told I get the 100. I would have not bothered coming in for 45 dollars. Will not be coming back due to this.
Went to donate at this center on MLK now no one ever said you have to Donate with in 30 days and when I went to go Donate for my 2nd time thinking I am about to get my 100 and got $47. There was no sign that said 30 days it was posted behind the counter under something not visible for me or other donors to see. Manager was not willing to help Nathan more worried about my upset attitude rather then telling me he could help
The staff @ CSL is compassionate, kind and grateful. Anthony is always kind when I check in and Cedric, Victoria, Beth and Beeman are very attentive to everyone's donating process!
Today, I had one of the most aggravating and mind befuddling experiences of my life trying to donate plasma at CSL Plasma in Des Moines, Iowa .. located right next to the MLK Hy Vee Grocery Store. I was turned away due to the fact that my zip code (Windsor Heights, 50324) is not within their "range" of zip codes they currently serve. They are new to the area and not equipped to handle all zip codes, so as to avoid being overwhelmed due to their inexperience. Or at least this is the explanation that was
I love the staff and the cleanliness of the facility. Keep up the good work.
This place is a joke I am so done with CSL. Don't waste your time here there is better places to donate like Octapharma & Biolife definitely returning to one of them places.
That is not fair to people that have a problem with their bladder and can't hold their pee in or people that can't find a place to take a shower to go into the place
The staff makes it as quick as they can. Beman is incredible!
Are you guys still temporarily closed? Your location in Des Moines Iowa I keep calling the phone number provided and no answer
The BEST place to donate. Great staff who actually care. I love love love CSL. Thanks for being so great.
The staff was very patient with me recently when I was a difficult donor. A much better run location than Biolife.
Love this place everyone is so nice and the playlist is a whole vibe!! ??
Good experience. Avana helped me today and did an excellent job getting me checked in.
Rude employees, including supervisors. Go to Biolife where it's much cleaner, employees are friendly and professional!
This place is terrible. They have electric issues again and they take their phone off the hook.
Have truly never seen such unprofessional people in front . The medical side of it was fine .
Never had a bad experience. In and out quickly.
As a new donor that wants to donate and I have called to speak with someone, and no one has answered the phone the 6 times I have called is HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!
First time coming to location gave me an hard time wasn't able to donate employees wasn't friendly
Great staff and very nice especially beman
Very, Very Friendly Staff,Love My Ladies There!! ??????
Very friendly people loved my experience
They dont know what they are doing
Bemen is the best ever!!!
It's a clean facility.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
