CSL Plasma District Heights, MD

I don't think I will be returning to the center because if there's one thing I truly dislike is inconsistencies with people. If on Saturday I was told one thing but then on Monday I'm told the opposite and when I ask who can I speak with and the response is no one which is know is not true, that's a huge issue for me and I can't see myself returning here with chaos. Black middle aged lady with glasses was very rude and disrespectful. Raising her voice because I had questions. I was irritated but the difference was I held my composure and tone. Although this is a plasma donation center customer service skills should still be used. I felt disrespected, misinformed or lied to. And to top it off she raised her voice at me twice in a angry manner.

I appreciate how quickly I could get processed and how welcoming the security guards always are. They really helped me have a more positive experience. I give three stars because the workers/technicians did not seem very customer oriented. I was developing a hematoma because something went wrong with the needle, so I raised my hand to get some help. Absolutely the worst location possible. They aren't consistent. The rules change every week. How do you not give water when there is a saline shortage? Like you literally advertise water and crackers for hydration. It's hard to voice anything because management is always busy or they are short staffed! The staff is condescending and rude. Only polite to their regulars or favorites. Today was the last day somebody makes me feel insignificant while donating. Absolutely not ok. I know I won't make a difference

As long as you got 2-3 hours to kill n.p. always under staffed always a 90 minute wait to get to a seat sometimes takes 15 mins to get stuck an 15-20 minutes to get let go of you want to get in get out go to land over

I recently visited CSL plasma with to donate, hoping for a smooth and straightforward process. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. During the visit, the staff informed me that they were unable to locate a suitable vein in either of my arms. I was advised to hydrate and return another time for the donation. Despite being assured that I would be compensated for my time by 6 PM that day, no payment was received. Further attempts to resolve this through phone calls were met with unfulfilled

On Saturday November 23rd 2024 I went to this location to do my weekly donation mainly because I was broke at the time. Did the medical screen and was told my iron was too high (55). I asked to speak with a manager after I was differed for the day. I spoke to a person named Tamia who said she was the assistant manager I explained my situation and also explained to her that I also was a longtime donor at this location, I basically was given the cold shoulder. This has to be most unorganized place in the world. These people are slow and could care less about getting you in and out. Everytime I come in after work, it's always only one screener(who takes about 20 minutes to screen one person)with 8 or 9 people on line to get screened. Two or three employees are always standing around laughing and playing while there are people trying to get in and out. At least step in and help! Management needs to be fired. Josh was great throughout my whole donor experience. The only issue I had was I seem to get the new person in-training (which always proves to be problematic). I understand they have to learn which is why I don't say anything until after they miss or mess up. They ALWAYS partially go in or beside my huge vein and this prolongs my donation time. This place offers false advertising. During the first two weeks of October, promoted an extra bonus to motivates people to donate, but when you reach the requirements for it, they take off the advertisement and don't pay you for what they offered. I asked to two different workers and they both acted like they didn't know what I was talking about and that was probably a mistake. Well?you should give to your people for what you offer.

All the staff are nice and the place is kept very clean.

Staff is usually friendly and nice. Except one every time we have gone we have witnessed CECE put all the work on others. She will never address us. For instance she said "this girl who was she after?" Like asking other patients around. First off I am a woman. She will communicate with people she knows and likes. Terrible staff!!! There time when i manager isnt present and it is very inconsiderate for a person to not be certified or signed off to do certain thing. They should be encouraging and training thier staff to do everything in there just in case its gets busy.Instead of having 1 person screening while the 2 nurses standing at the counter greeting guess meanwhile the screening line is long.This can be avoided. This place is good and the staff. But if you are traveling metro and it says it's going to be closed 10-15 minutes early. So don't waste your time. If metro messing up, don't even go. I understand some people want to help but you don't make it don't try it. As it took me almost 2 hours to get because of metro busses run out not running. Remind me not to come on Friday at 1:30 when they're supposed to have normal wait times. Doing the check in went quick and i was to a bed in about 15 min. Then i waited in bed for an entire hour before they hooked me up to the machine. The staff was slow as molasses and it appeared that they were very understaffed. As i write this review there are 15 people behind me waiting to start... This is not good. Please address this issue as soon as possible.

Good day I'm want to start by saying that every time I've come here it's always a pleasant experience. Even the one time I couldn't donate because they didn't want to restock me because of the safety measures. I was touched that they value our lives that much. I feel that I do have a connection with my phlebotomist. I'm happy I can give back and also have a little extra cash in my pocket.

Called for information and was told to be there before 12 since they close at 2. Drove 40 minutes and arrived at 10am to be told they weren't accepting any new donors due to "circumstances". Not sure what those are, but felt my time was wasted. 2 Stars because when I called they were very polite. Update: Went today at 7am, when they're supposed to open. I have been donating here for over 2 years and I have never been treated so poorly from a staff member until today. Jessica the manager on duty was extremely combative with me. This behavior must be coached effectively.

I drove over an hour fighting through traffic after work to make it to the facility with 10 minutes left to spare. When I got to the door, it was closed and someone opened the door claiming that they were at ?full capacity? on a Tuesday night and I would have to come back the next day. The person that answered the door said their staff would have to work overtime in order to accommodate me. So they asked me to come the day after and have me drive another hour to donate! You make an appointment through their app/website, but according to the staff that's not actually an appointment, just the time you get to pick to show up (one of the dumbest things I've ever heard). This plasma place gives you a warm welcome every time I visit the center, management down to the workers are great in friendship and honesty, I also thought the hospitality of the hotdogs, chips & popcorn was so awesome and this center for me shows that they care about there donors, be blessed and continue to strive towards excellence.

Terrible Staff. From reception all the way to management. None of their kiosks or computers work. The staff walk around with nasty attitudes and no sense of urgency. This place is definitely the ghetto, I wouldn't dare go back nor suggest anyone else !

5 star facility with wonderful techs that provide 5 star service! A friend of mine told me about this center in August when my home caught fire and my car all in the same month. I was hesitant but had to keep a motel paid for my three daughters so I gave it a try. The intake techs and the techs in the back are amazing! I'm a donor at the District Heights Branch. I have been going there for over 2 hrs. The staff there is so friendly and patience. They remember your name and also treat you like family. I can't just recognize a single person because all I have came in contact with are nothing but amazing. I would highly recommend that if your are planning to donate plasma you should make this your donation site.

I have visited this center everything I visit my family in DC. This isn't my regular center , but I feel so welcome everytime I come. I people they work here are so prefersionial and the center is always center. I love coming here they make you feel like family. I would refer this center to anyone. No long wait time.

This location is the BEST plasma donation center I've been to! It's clean, organized, staff are friendly and kind, and the music is fun. There are almost never any lines at all and they seat you in a bed right away. You're in and out quickly and it doesn't feel like a loud, messy, and packed-full center like many other places.

It's a pretty solid place to donate the nurses on the donor floor are welcoming attentive if you're needing some help Dee at the vital check area is always kind and eager to make sure you're good before even reaching the donor floor area definitely give this place a shot if you're looking to donate

Find someplace else to donate. They made up every excuse to get me to leave because they waited until 2pm to talk to me and they close at 3pm. No one else was in line ahead of me. They also claimed I needed additional proof of residence when I had mail addressed to me and a social security card and valid ID.

Has been a good experience, especially for not knowing about plasma donating prior. The staff including security are cool and like to have fun from the music to jokes to small talk. They keep it clean and will do what they can to get you in and out.

By far one of the best plasma donation centers I've ever been to. The staff is always helpful and friendly and always there for us, the donors, first. They also have some of the best phlebotomists I've seen; it's never painful and they all seem very experienced. They also play dope music in the donation areas, which helps the time pass better when donating.

I've been coming to the CSL Plasma donation center in District Heights for almost two years now...even after moving to Rockville! Always fast, friendly, and efficient...and a special shout out to Shanice, the super-friendly technician who always seems to be working the early shift that I frequent...always nice to see her smiling face!

I started at OP. They did not meet my expectations- professionalism-wise. CSL, I had a few bad experiences - this was 5 to 6 months ago. Because of that, I ended up at Biolife. Biolife was squared away. Appointments only with a well trained professional staff. Though, Biolife was a 30 minute drive , each way

Always under staffed constantly close doors 30 to sometimes 40 minutes before closing time which is a big inconvenience. I don't see anything posted that says you have to be done your draw by closing so why are the doors being closed early

The CSL Plasma app was quite easy to use to navigate in answering the Health Questionnaire. . When I entered the Donation Kiosk, I was greeted and welcomed by Shanice, the Plasma Technician. Shanice was very professional and pleasant in takng my vital signs and answered my questions.When I entered the Donation area, the Phlebotomist greeted me and the process was smooth and painless. She did an outstanding job.

I recently moved the the DMV and was glad I moved so close to this CSL location. The phlebotomists are top tier and make the whole process pleasant.
