Reviews Summary

The reviews show a polarized experience. Many praise friendly, professional staff and clean facilities, particularly noting efficient service when things go well. However, numerous complaints highlight long wait times, understaffing, rude employees, and inconsistent procedures. Several donors report painful or botched needle insertions, poor communication, and dismissive management. Payment issues and policy inconsistencies also frustrate repeat donors. While some have positive experiences, recurring themes include disorganization, unprofessionalism, and physical discomfort during donations.

Customer Reviews

Staff was very friendly, I have no track marks so it was easy. Alot of the 1 star reviews are people I know are users and are trying to use these kind people's money to support the illegal drug market.

Staff is pleasant and good at their jobs, even if a little inconsistent with wrapping the arm afterwards (I've had to go back multiple times to get rewrapped before leaving the parking lot). 2 stars due to the ridiculous hours & poor staffing. Hours used to be 7AM- 7PM M-F with shorter hours on Saturday and Sunday to being closer completely Sundays, then closed entirely Saturday and Sunday, and now hours of operation are 8 AM - 6 PM. Unless they open/close early for no reason given & no emails sent out rega

I donated a little over a week ago and am seriously wondering if I will be going back. First, someone entered my birthday wrong. Then they did a crappy stick job, with the woman admitting it didn't go in right. With the stick not being in right, it rested wrong in my vein. I got in trouble because I stopped pumping my hand when I stopped because the machine was in error, which could have caused injury if i'd continued. The machine was in error because of the needle placement not allowing flow. I had staff g

The staff at this location are awesome but CSL corporate loves to screw people over on bonus money. Made my 8th donation today just to find out that I wasn't going to receive my bonus because I donated between to different locations, yet I received an email about bonuses given in the month of December from both the newark and dover locations. Never had an issue until today. I received my 5th donation bonus so what's the issue? CSL needs to do better.

Normally they're usually good but when you're sick and you need you know paperwork saying you're okay they make you jump through hoops and they don't take the paperwork from a hospital stating you are okay they want from a regular doctor are you won't be able to donate and when the manager is not there the girls freaking chitchat with each other and not pay attention and they don't pay attention to the patients when the manager isn't there they tend to chit chat too much I would not suggest going to see a s

Went today after I dropped off my 4 boys at school. There was a sign on the door that they were not opening until 10AM. What a total waste of time and this is not the first time it has happened. Went again today at 8:45. The line was outrageous. I heard the staff was an hour late and thats why it was so backed up. This place really needs to do better.

I really came here to do a good thing for others. My wife was taken care of because her grandfather donated blood, so I wanted to do something too. The problem here is the company. I like the team members, but I bet the management's hands are tied by the corporation. I have spent 2-3 hours average waiting because the team is not properly staffed in the morning, nor in the evening. Clearly this is leading to angry employees because they are overworked, underpaid, etc... Now there are rumors of it shutting

This is my first time donating at the Dover location. I have been a CSL donor for nearly a year and have donated at a few other locations. I have NEVER experienced the wait time at any other CSL like I did with this one. I came early afternoon on a Monday with only a few people in front of me. After waiting an hour, I finally get called to sit in the chair. It took 30 MINUTES before I was hooked up!!! WHAT?! Prior to this visit, the longest wait I've ever had was 3 minutes to be connected. I gently asked a

I have been coming to this plasma location for months (Since November). I'm a newly single mom and getting divorced. I had great experiences. However the last few times a lady who does intake has been beyond rude and mean. This is currently how I'm supporting my children as well as being happy to make a difference in this world for people who need plasma. I also haven't received my referral money from referring my mom. However I have slowed down on my donations and thinking of stopping it all together. I ju

Janine and Brandy were awesome! Staff were very informative and friendly, but the initial woman I dealt with seemed cold and unhappy to be here. Took a few hours but as a new donor is to be expected.

Man this place is really a total ripoff , they hurt you when they put them metal spikes in your arm , there is really no gentleness really at all when they do it , and then the money , I got 30 dollars yesterday which is total bullshit , that's a lot of plasma for a lousy 30 bucks , and for the money that place is making and supposedly saving a life or two for each bottle I think they should?ve paid me more than that lousy 30 bucks yeah, they should?ve paid me more than that, that was kick in face and not s

I felt inclined to leave a review since so many people have left negative reviews. I have been hesitant in going because of them yet I was told that it really wasn't that bad. I went today for the first time and everyone was very friendly and pleasant. My only complaint is the payout for new donors. It's so low compared to BioLife up north.

I spent 1.5 hours waiting to get hooked up to the machine (health check & waiting in line). Then I find out that the person at the front didn't check me in right so I have to go through the entire process again. I asked to speak with the manager to see if there's something that can be done. She completely dismissed me. We are looked at like the homeless people that come in to donate. Forget those of us that donate plasma to help people! I will never come back here again. Every time it takes hours on hours.

I've come across more then one closures that are very frustrating and disappointing. I live an hour away after checking schedule online saying open on Sundays until3pm get all the way there for nothing. Also was there a week ago and I strongly believe the lady that hooked me up, really messed up. My arm went really purple and numb and I had a lightheaded while shivering cold. They claimed they started to high then changed it to too low. They don't seem to really know what they are doing. Do better.

Horrible. They take way more blood than they are supposed too and short change ppl. They blame you for the things that go wrong during the procedure when they are supposed to know what to do during any emergency situation. Ppl have thrown up and passed out and they have laughed at them instead offering help. They're schedules are all wrong especially Saturdays they aren't open at all. Procedures take more than 4 hours because the technicians don't know what they are doing . SHORT CHANGE PERIOD! Most peo

Idk if they stuck me right or didn't take the needle out properly but my napkin is literally covered and drenched in blood and I drunk water right before I came in . I Wish it let me take a picture

For a first time donor, my experience was fun. The staff was nice and friendly to me. Even though the whole process was like 2 hours (expected for my first time), they gave me great information and always ask if I was good during the process. Looking forward to go back for future donations.

Today was an incredibly challenging experience at the testing site. Despite passing the first test, a staff error during my screening required redoing the entire vital section. Unfortunately, the frustration and anxiety led to not passing the second test. Adding to the discomfort, the site?s temperature was uncomfortably cold, around 50 degrees. I'm genuinely upset about the overall experience, as most staff members, excluding the nurses, were disrespectful. There's a need for improvement or reconsideration

Hire people! I want to donate but standing in line for an hour or more every time before being called back to the floor is terrible. There are 4 bays with over 50 beds. Most of the time they are only utilizing one bay. I don't have 3+ hours to spend here every time I donate. Management needs to make changes. Until then, I don't think I'll be returning.

I went here to do a good thing and donate plasma. While getting pricked, they missed my vein the proceeded to wiggle the needle under my skin for the duration of my time there to get it draw blood. This caused a massive bruise on my left arm. When I came in the following week they told me I could not donate due to still having the bruise on my left arm. They also stated they could not use my right arm due to the bruise they created on my left arm. I then left and they called me to check on how the bruise w

Since I've been coming here to this location, I've always encountered friendly staff from the check-in to the phlebotomist.

Please hire more people. We want to donate but standing in line for 3 hours before being called back to the floor is problematic. Calling your employees in on their day off is not a strong long term solution. Management, please evaluate and create a better process for your donors and employees.

Brandy is a rockstar. Polite, courteous, friendly and just an overall great person. Someone needs to buy her lunch when she gets her break on time.

They don't follow their own policy. Heart rate can't be 49 and below. Mine was 50 because I got nervous which is normal. Told me I can't donate. Then, they told someone to wait for a while. They waited, and they told them they can't donate. All of those workers need to be retrained. They need RNs that know what they are doing.

The entire process to get checked in took us over 2 hours to finally be taken back, while the needle was being inserted, the nurses missed my vein twice and when it was finally in place it continued to slip out and move around while I tried to pump, I ended up with severe bruising for 2 weeks and had to stop the extraction early due to my arm swelling. Update from a year later 05/13/2024 I had gone to CSL Plasma in Dover to try again to get a little extra cash for a Mother?s Day gift. I walked in with a mi

This was my first and last visit. I was a first time donor and no one ever came over to check on me to make sure I was okay. Right at the last part of my donation I felt as if I was going to pass out and before I was able raise my hand for help I was out like a light. I am not sure when they noticed but when I woke up I had a bunch of staff around me trying to help after the fact. I had such a hard time recovering I had to be taken to the hospital. Yes I did everything right ahead of time. I ate a meal an

It was a very nice time with staff and explainations were clear and helpful. First time visit was a great experience. Thank you CSL team

COMPLETE FRAUD!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! The first time I donated plasma at CSL was in tennessee and I received $85-$105 each visit for the first 7 visits. When I came to this one it was over 6 months since my last donation so I was supposed to start over. My first 2 donations i received $85. My third was only $65. When I looked online it told me I would receive $65 each visit for my next several visits. Today (my 4th donation here) I only received $30. Now online it has changed. It's 2023 what I'm suppos

Frustrating, things can be so much better . Not enough people work. Worker's r over worked at times. I have been thinking about stop coming. I do this to help people and it keeps my oldest daughter, she passed away 14 yrs ago. She was a bio tech , I do it for her.

I come twice a week up here and periodically they close and don't put it on their website that they're closed takes me an hour ride to get here

Almost everyone there is a nice person except Ammie. She is a mean woman and trys to be a bully. Last time I was there she didn't stick me with the needle correctly and when she tried to blame me for her mess up. I'm positive I not the 1st one to complain about her since I have witnessed her treat other donors badly on several different occasions.

Staff are rude. They like to complain about me to me every time I come in so I stopped coming in. Will never return. Not until attitudes improve or staff are completely switched out.

CSL normally only have one phlebotomist on the floor with minimal support staff. My concern is that if more than one person starts having a reaction that there are not an adequate amount of support staff... the staff are friendly enough but new to their roles... Update: 12/6/22 The Doner 360 QR service is working as designed.

For 2 days the site has been closed due to the only 2 phlebotomists being out for Illnes/ emergencies. Honestly, this site is so busy, there definitely needs to be more phlebotomists on staff.

Amazing staff, very professional, beautiful atmosphere.

The girls at the front were to busy chatting. Then when the one girl finally got up she was very rude. Not a good first impression.

Normal corporate greed leading to under staffing. Spend an hour trying to donate, get deferred over a 101 (100 limit) heart rate after wasting all my time there.

Very bad and inconsiderate workers. They take their time and you will be waiting a long time to be stocked. I also saw them drop blood on the floor and the boss was lazy and taking her time to do everything.

The Techs are really nice but it seems they're always short staffed, I hope they reach staffing goals this year.

The staff are very kind n make you feel relaxed n the setting in the place is very clean!!

Can't believe they take bad employees and move to new location. Do they think the bad employees won't be bad anymore if move them around. Crazy

In and out in 45mins to an hr

The staff is rude !they make you wait hours in line only to make you wait even more once you're in the back , everyone is cussing and acting unprofessional. They are slow ,lazy, and RUDE!!!

Not my usual donation spot. They were friendly and got me in and out quickly

It's pretty cool there. People are very helpful and nice ..

Great energy, friendly and very knowledgeable

Terrible service low pay
