Staff is good and friendly But they need to do some hiring last 2 weeks hasn't been great very long lines only one bay open. Do some hiring nobody wanna work fire they butt The same people get away with calling off. Or you guys are doing horrible scheduling . Need about 5 new employees to make up for the call offs. Shout out to Christine and Kennedy they work there booties off in the back. But please do some hiring.
I've been coming here for a few years now, and recently this location has had staff issues, which is why the last time I gave a review it was only 1 star. The staffing issues is slowly improving, but today's review is the fact that I didn't get paid for donating plasma and didn't find out until I tried to get some money off the card. I did go back to the center to find out what's going on, and the staff showed the payment as processing, but still not showing up on the app for the card
I've been donating plasma here for 11 years now. I've been to 8 other facilities of its kind, from other CSL centers and Bio-mat. This is the best center in northeast Ohio. Always fast, never a long wait. All of the employees are presentable, polite, and on top of what needs done. Not once in 11 years have I had a complaint and always leave with a smile.
I had a great experience today at CSL in Elyria. Kayla was amazing. She is a super friendly and you can tell she cares about the donors she works with. She was attentive to my need for assistance and was very helpful! She's THEE best!
If I could give zero stars I would. First time coming.. Walked in at 1:30. It's almost 3pm and I'm leaving because I haven't even had my initial exam yet. There is nobody in front of me as far as first time donors. I will never come back to this location. What a horrible waste of my time.
They look like they are always under staffed. But they say they have too many workers. Which is why I'm confused that we had to wait over an hour in the line on Monday 5/18/25. Then most of the time they only have 1 or 2 screeners, which 1 just got sent to lunch with a line. There is no sense of urgency.
Horrible. Won't be back. The staffing problems and wait times. Every chair filled and 2 people drawing. Nope. Lorain has staff and you make an appointment. I will go get 40 out of the bank Not worth it.
Twice I've had Kayla for a phlebotimist...she has a great personality and character and makes the entire donation process much more enjoyable and memorable. I hope im lucky enough to get her again next time. Although I'm sure there are other good phlebotimist at the elyria location
I had a great first experience at CSL Plasma in Elyria. As a new donor I expected to be there for a while for my health screening and donation. They were very thorough and the process was very organized. The phlebotomist I had was informative and kind as she could tell I was a little nervous with it being my first time donating plasma. I will definitely return again soon.
This location has gone down hill dramatically. 2 to 3 hours wait after screening just to go to the bay is unacceptable. 75% of the bay beds are open but no phlebotomist. New machines but no staff. This location is so under staffed when it comes to phlebotomist due to staff being out on medical leave. And a hiring freeze? Upper management at the corporate level needs to do their job. Only wanting to staff 7 screeners and 7 in the bay is not acceptable. The staff is friendly but the bay workers are understaff
Every week it seems like they cone up with a new way to make you wait. Slow staff, to lazy staff, to no staff. If you have 3 hours to spare to make 50 bucks, then this is the place for you.
I am giving them two stars but only because I have been coming to this location for a while now and have never had any issues with anyone but every time I come in and get the employee that goes by Sag there is always an issue with something she used the wrong cuff to take my blood pressure I tried to tell her that they never use the one she used because it is to big for my arm and she would not listen to me she was very argumentative with me and being very rude told me she k ow what she is doing cause she w
The employees are great! But the fact that they always are short staffed and the wait times are ridiculous.
Kayla is the friendliest worker and very caring and the best worker at csl she deserves a raise she is my favorite person there
What a circus ?? here there line be wrapped around the lobby they have two staff on the floor poking they say they are not hiring you have the male supervisor claiming to defer random people because he doesn't like them this will be my last time here
Worst places ever definitely staffed but they are to busy socializing to care about people it's absolutely ridiculous!!!
Kayla and Kristine were great they were efficient and I had no issues with the donation
Staff are rude and unprofessional, despite proof I live in the area as I am a currently attending student they decided to refuse me donating anyway. Have been there before thought to see if their staff had gotten any better at needle sticks as most of them are barely trained and can't hit the vein right the first time despite me having large veins and being a tall male. The last time they tried they bruised me so bad the bruise covered almost two-thirds of the way around my arm. Recommend going to any plasm
can y?all atleast try to get a set schedule or routine to get ppl in and out
I have been going here for 6 years now. Usually it's pretty smooth. But if you have a bad nurse or a bad phlebotomist and bring it to their attention from that moment on they become very rude disrespectful and very unprofessional. I have witnessed employees lie about patients and harass them while they are donating. They blame the patient instead of reprimanding their employees. Of course you aren't supposed to react to them, just be quiet and let them treat you that way. Employees arguing amongst each oth
They told to go and eat before donate and I came back 2 hours later and then said I have to go eat again before donating again, so I wasted gas and time doing so.
If you really need 50 bucks it's the place to go. The intake people will treat you like garbage but the techs in the back are nice.
Kayla is amazing and her job in the staff is lovely and nice
As a first time donor at CSL I was very pleased with my experience. The staff was very kind and each one, from front desk to my phlebotomist took the time to explain the process and answer my questions. I highly recommend this clean, pleasant, friendly Plasma center to anyone interested in donating.
Today would have been my 5th donation in 3 months. I was unable to donate today because after doing the questionaire online and being all ready, working on my water intake for the last 2 days, I was denied. Apparently, I came into the establishment and was directed by signs to go to the returning visitor kiosk. I scaned my fingerprint and it began asking me questions that I already did online. I exited the kiosk. Once I was ready to speak to whoever does your finger poke, I was told I had only answered one
If you don't mind staying in line for 2 + hours plus your donation time 35-60 mind for 50$ this is your place. However, keeping polite and kind and good technicians that don't bruse or hurt you, is a challenge for them. And new people that get hired, they retain ( for over 3 months) is about 1 out of 12 trained... there is a big problem with management and has a big impact on the speed of things in the back.
When I donated for the first time a few weeks ago and all i can say was my experience was great! When i was being processed for the first time, Geff was really nice and explained very well. He answered all my questions and reassured me with my nervousness! When I actually got on the donor floor Adrian explained the whole process and made me feel comfortable. When he stuck me it didn't even hurt and my donation went smoothly! The staff at CSL are amazing and really educated me on donating! Will donate again!
Caused major buising for someone I knew and didn't stop even thought she was crying and saying "it hurts". Then sent her out saying she was dehydrated, she had drank a lot of water prior. The 3.5 hour wait was not worth it.
Was told (literally 10 minutes ago) from a nurse that ?CSL is a business. I know it looks medical. But it's not. It's strictly business? Hmmmmm. Yet. They urge donors to donate to ?help save lives?. There is some other details that I won't go into. But I have posted this on my personal platform and I already have SEVERAL people who will be taking their donations elsewhere. (Into the double digits) Let's be honest. We know it is a business. Bc we are compensated for our donation. But to reply like that REGIS
Update: Wait times have improved somewhat. I've had good and bad experiences with this center. It used to be very well staffed and even at the busiest times you'd be able to donate in a timely manner. Since COVID, staffing has been cut severely and the wait times are ridiculously long.
I always have a different experience everytime I go in there! Sometimes, i can walk right in, do my survey, check my vitals and be in hooked up to a machine within 5-10 minutes. Other times, it's so busy and they literally have one person doing vitals so even that takes 20 minutes. Then you get to the next line and wait there for an hour or more. The employees are typically great. I've only met one employee that I disliked and I'm pretty sure she got fired (or at least I hope so!) Kate Duffy is the best by
I always have an enjoyable experience when i donate. The girls and guys are all very good at what they do.
So I am deferred for life because I made a review and posted a couple picture of in side the waiting area. Which there are no signs, ? I bet there will be now?. The only place that there are signs of no phone use, calls, pictures, etc. are inside the actual donation section.. They have clear windows that can see right into that spacing for donors. So I don't understand the privacy part. The pictures I took you can see from the door outside?. Which is not illegal to take pictures. Now if they're so worried
Waiting by the front desk for 20 minutes. Nobody came even with me saying hello. Came another day finally got seen. Waited an hour, got my arms checked then told to wait. Waited another hour. Nothing, just up and left. Employees were unprofessional, place was extremely dirty. Staff seems very unorganized. Management and leadership is extremely lacking.
Csl plasma is a great environment their staff there is really nice respectful and helpful I have people who love going there and come back with a bright big smile because of how a great experience they had
Usually in and out within 80min, but the last few weeks I've walked out from waiting so long! Today only one row of machines was used, so the line was backed up to the front door in the line with vitals already checked! Why can't they open another row when it gets that backed up. The last few weeks it's been like this, while also noticing almost half new staff, so either everyone is new or poor management? I like this place up until the last few weeks. Hopefully they get their act together. Update: in 2024
Management staff is incompetent. Reception staff radioed for help because the vital check line was so long. And they basically responded over the radio you guys will be alright. Definitely won't be returning nor referring anyone else. CSL thank management for not having the staffs back and the loss of donors.
Excellent staff . I've been coming here for 5 years always a good experience..I definitely will recommend Elyria CSL
Iris was so nice and a wizard sticking me with the needle. I have a phobia of medical places and not only did she make me feel welcomed the experience was painless. Thank you so much Iris!
It was gonna be my first time donating, but the wait was awful to where I was like "Screw this, I'm walking out!". One of the ladies acted pretty rude and also acted like she didn't know what she was doing!
Place is VERY clean and staff is friendly. The first visit takes a while but this is because they want to get your health information correct so there are no serious complications. Leave time for this (2 Hrs. average)
It was late and the facility was understaffed, and I understand that. Regardless, the staff should pay attention to all of their donators. I was the second person to be given a bed once they opened the back section. I was finished, lying in the bed for 20 minutes, watching the phlebotomist help and relieve three other people that had started their donation process long after me. When I politely vocalized my grievance I was told ?I'm getting to you sir, I'm just completing this row first!? as if going to the
Always have a great experience. Everyone is friendly and it's always fast.
So I went here a few years ago after moving back home from Kent. I had donated plasma several times out there and never had any problems and really small wait times. Well after moving home I still was strapped for cash so I went up here to this location. Besides the already popular complaint that the waits are ridiculously long I had a very unique and awful experience that put me off donating ever again. The gentleman who stuck me with the needle and gave me the works that day was particularly bad at his jo
Love visiting CSL. The staff here are EXCEPTIONAL! They are EXTREMELY kind, courteous, polite, and do a very good job doing what they do. They greet you with a warm welcome & a smile & show their gratitude every time for your donation. Visiting CSL Plasma is like visiting family. ????
It was very satisfied with my visit to the Elyria CSL location. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the staff and phlebotomist were very caring and expedient.
Called a head of time to make sure everything instructed on the app would be sufficient for a first time appointment. I was yelled at over the phone repeatedly by whoever answered the phone (a man at 3:30 PM on 3/27) stating that he "DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THE APP AT ALL OR MAKING APPOINTMENTS" and repeatedly yelled "I DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE TALKING ABOUT", when I told him I was not calling about that but about paperwork he put me immediately on hold. He came back with a better tone, but once again raised his voice
It started when an a employee that no longer works there entered my address wrong and the Indian woman who I was talking to was grilling me with questions about my address that I just recently moved into but it was still on my record there just in the wrong order I waited 30 mins just for them to figure that out then when I finally got in the back it went smooth until I left I was told I had $47 added to my card but when I got in the car and called my card I only had 39 and my resent transactions said there
I've had problems several time's, including 1 nurse, 2 supervisors, this place has rules but not all staff know the rules and what's IS ALLOWED to donate.. More than not their attitudes are horrible. While on the doner floor, it's been GREAT! The ppl that stick you are respectful and sometimes funny... Everyone else is rude..everyone up front, and the nurse who is a little heavy with blonde hair is the WORST.. Neither me or a referral got our money... All the staff says different things... There are 2 nur
Best place ever staff are very friendly welcoming it's clean you may wait a little bit but that's expected. I wanna give a shout out to all of the employees there you guys do a hard job and you're on your feet all day staying busy keep up the good work
Facility is always so busy better have a good 2 hours to wait to even get in. Then the app if they want to make you hold off due to a test they want to run and have to send out of state does not tell you just states talk to the front desk. This place is run by a bunch of clowns.
This could be better on wait times but I completely understand the staffing issues. I've gone a total of 3 times now. I dont like to have different people taking plasma because each person sticks you differently. First time I had a guy named Shawn he was very informative and made my anxiety go away. He came and made sure to check up on me. Second and third time I had lilah she was quiet didn't explain anything to me to make me feel at all comfortable with her sticking me. During the second time all she did
Iris on the floor does an amazing. She a very thorough job during everything she does. Hand down she will be the only sticking my arm from now on
Read somewhere that it takes only an hour to donate, but this is dead wrong. They require a 30 minute video for first timers, as well as an hour wait just to get to the room where one donates, then it takes 90 minutes to actually donate. They also only offer $25 for first timers between the weight of 110-149 lbs., which was also a lie according to their website. The staff we dealt with were friendly, so at least there's that.
Always very caring staff
The staff is AWESOME here!! Love this place!! Best part of my day!!
Very rude employees. As I was getting a physical a couple months ago, the center manager kept having this tone of annoyance so I simply asked if she was alright, and it severely triggered her. She answered me by mocking my same question, "are you alright?" and I said "Wow, you're center manager?" and she instantly told me I was deferred and never allowed to come back to this specific location again. I showed back up again yesterday to ask if I'm at least allowed to go to other locations, and where the c
Don't go there the people suck and they will screw u over. I had a nurse tell me I could die on the table while giving plasma and that triggered me a severe panic attack. Stupid nurses and poor management. Don't waste your time here
I don't understand the low reviews on here. I've been going here for two years now and have never had a bad experience. Keep up the good work, all. Kristina C.
The employees here are HORRIBLE. they treat you awful & then they expect you not to be rude back to them. I absolutely dread coming here because of the employees. It's mostly the employees in the front & the nurse who does the physicals. I have never had a good experience here with the employees. I hope they don't treat everyone as bad as they treat me every time.
Absolutely the worst location anymore. One thing iv learned about this company is they really don't seem to care about their employees and definitely don't pay their employees enough because a few of my friends quit because they for one will not give anyone full time and good pay. How do you expect to keep employees that way. The loss of employees has caused this location to have at least a 2 hour wait for the donor's its truly a shame.
Only 4 out of all the people working here have any people skills the rest are rude and unprofessional!! One of the nurses is just as nasty as she can be towards people!!!! The other Nora is a very nice and very professional. Tristan is a great phlebotomist!!!
New system sucks if you do not have enough people working. Over 6 people done wait too long people are sticking people and not enough people taking off. This is in one aisle.. Not both. You can not implement a new system if you do not have enough people. I do not blame the people that work... I blame the managers that should know better...and are lazy....
People are nice and the place itself is fine. But they have too many untrained helpers that can not properly stick a needle into a blatently obvious vein from a regular donor. Again its just a matter of them being understaffed and I get that, but there is no room for incompetence in a medical field of any kind.
If you are not hard on money, then i would suggest not stepping foot in this place..i can only imagine what the place looks like when it does get busy..i read some of the other comments and thought ?it cant be that bad?. However, it is that bad..workers in the front are some of the laziest I've ever seen..every time i go their are 5 or 6 ladies standing around chatting about their day while the line just stacks up..management seems non-existent as it seems like this facility has the process similar to a tor
Dayna is seriously the coolest person makes you not think about being stuck. But not that she is by FAR the best person who has stuck me! Never ever feel it! I highly recommend her everytime! Especially your first time!
Once again have multiple open beds but they will not fill them. Already down to two bays (24 chairs) and only 9-10 beds filled. And the staff picking and choosing who can cut the line or not. They claim they give express passes to new donors that couldn't donate the first time yet I just watched the nurse let a female that has been donating longer than me cut 6 people in line. Having to sit here for 3hrs that have been donating for months or years for atleast half the amount a new donor gets for donating pl
Good people who do there job, the company is screwed up. They have your address but, don't notify you of any changes at the center. Have had to leave 3 times, because of stuff that could have been rectified if I was informed by mail. I am done with this place waisting my time.
The staff is VERY RUDE and they make everything so complicated. I have never seen such disrespect in my life! They treat people unfairly and like they're garbage! I also too work in the medical and I know you are not supposed to treat patients that way! I am so disgusted with the way they run the place. I will never donate there again and corporate will be contacted!
Very simple process to get registered. Once I was in the chair and donating, the time flew. The staff is welcoming, and they all seem to help each other. It's a really positive atmosphere.
Kennedy is awesome and I try to go to her only. Overall its not bad. Wish I got more money. The place needs a good cleaning.!
The place is poorly run. ALWAYS understaffed. Theres typically 1 or 2r screeners working, 3 socializing, and 15 donors waiting in line. Sometimes you have to wait an hour to donate simply because there aren't enough people working or the ones who are aren't paying attention.
In addition to just being the friendly and good competent staff members that they are Ive also gotta say that Iesha, Heather and Jessica are all so cute and Sexy...... ( Sighs )
Extremely long wait times. I came a while back and waited 3 hours on my first donation before I finally gave up and walked out before actually donating. Went today and waited an hour and half again before giving up on this place for good.
If I could give this no stars I would. The place stop taking me because I live 1 mile over there 30 mile radiance which is understandable but one of the employees lied gave me information to another plasma place that she said it will take me but there was no CSL plasma in the city she gave me I drove 31.6 miles to go to Elyria and donate they let me donate Monday the 18th but didn't let me donate the 20th because I'm 1 mile over so one of the female employees gave me directions to our CSL facility
The people that work there are nice but the lines always have 30 or 40 or more people in them like nobody has time to sit around there in line three to four hours. It seems like it's not being ran correctly.
I believe that their Bp machine is rigged to show your bp and pulse is too high! once they feel like you've donated enough, passed 4 times in a row, now all of a sudden failed 6 or 7 times...I know for a fact before I got there my bp was 149/90 pulse 80...But there machine said 189/107...pulse 106...6 or 7 times in a row !??..No way my blood pressure raised that high!!...You may get up to half of the $1200 that they advertise..MAYBE, then that's it...I don't smoke,or drink caffeine and I'm basically saltles
Their are new people training and I would suggest to get shots with someone with more experience. Due to I left their several times with bruises on at lest one arm. But all in all a good place for extra cash.
Well I'ma a new doner Donated 4 times now as of today the first time was awful I had to go through a forever long process then once getting back there to donate it took over a hr to collect my plasma blew my vein and just a bad experience I decided to give it a second chance because if you don't donate twice they can't use your donation long story short I had a awsome guy named angel the last 3 times I donated and I would recommend him! Very nice and was very professional and did his job well I didn't even
They are poorly run. The workers are very unprofessional and ghetto. Yhe wait time is absolutely insane. This place should fire everyone and train properly from management on down.
Extremely long waits and the staff is very rude I've changed where I go and that's parma it's worth the ride for the wait times elyria has parma ur in and out with in the hr a staff is very nice not like elyria were they stand around talking with a 2 hr and 30 minute wait with rude staff I do not recommended elyria to anyone even if it ur last resort
They do not honer there bonus deals. Won $5 on there "lotto scratchers" and never received payment. Was told if I had won they would have it. Also their website offered a bonus "coupon" which offered an additional 40 on 6th and 8th visit. Instead of honorring the coupon when brought to their attention they changed what the site said to something else and told me they wouldn't honor it. For this I would give 0 stars if I could. [This is false advertising and they refused to even admit their mistake and honor
I wouldn't recommend nobody to go here my girlfriend waiting 3 hours just for them to tell her her blood pressure was 1 over then they wanted it to be
I think the place and staff are very nice the only thing that bothers me is that if the stick isn't good and you get a bruise , you can't go back till it's gone. It's like you get punished for someone who doesn't know what they are doing.
Love the people there I have no complaints about this place
Went with my boyfriend who is in a wheelchair and is a double leg amputee. The front desk said their policy for disabled wheel chair donors is that they must be able to stand on their own without help to be weighed. Then said they dont think he would qualify cause he couldnt be weighed without help. We told them he has NO problem being weighed and dont need any help to stay still on scale. Front desk made us wait over 15 minutes for a supervisor who said the same thing. He proved that he could do a hand sta
I have been donating for about 5 months here in Elyria... And I have given a few of the phlebotomist a chance to stick me but only a few can get it done ... Damaris is the best at it for me I have a slanted vein and a few other things but she gets it EVERY time... There are a few people that TURNED me down saying they will not try it (even some of the "best" won't... It's a great place thou I just hate the lines because it only takes me 30 min to donate... Most of my time is in the line..
Place is a joke anymore . They aren't running that placed right. Computers went down yesterday so letting those people cut in front of all the lines. And we normal Tuesday people have to wait wait wait while all these people cut in front . Very unprofessional
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
