Staff isn't friendly and the line to wait is long. *I am taking my 2 stars to 1, as the rude customer service was not an isolated incident, but seems to be the company culture to be-little and talk down to donors. I have called and spoken with the manager as well as utilized your corperate link provided for my honest review.
Since they got these new machines, the wait time has become awful. At first one is like okay, growing pains. Fair. But it's been months now, and I'm still spending more time in here than before they got these new machines ( the machines that was supposed to make everything faster). It's not the staffs fault- everyone on the floor is usually great- but a management issue. Maybe it's time to check out the other plasma place around the coroner.
My fianc? and I got here around 1:30. He's a new donor, we drove together. The woman at the front nicely asked if we wanted to stay or go 7 times, due to time. We felt encouraged to leave but stayed. I just checked in at 2:40, hoping to roughly get done at the same time as my fianc?.. There were two men before me, both made to leave, all checked in by the same woman for the entire process. She was so passive aggressive, unnecessary force tossing things around, checked her watched about four times in two min
Great staff so far, I will suggest to people do not show up at the 8am slot if you're hoping to be out by 9:30AM its going to take you 30 minutes to an hour to get through the prescreen que, then you'll have to wait for a spot on the donor floor, a reasonable estimate would put you out at 9:45-10Am
Josh is amazing never hurts when he sticks me. All the people working there are amazing. Fran is easily the best to have for vitals. She's super sweet and always enjoys chatting which lowers your pulse. Overall this is a highlight of my week. Always enjoy coming here.
Went in as a new donor. There aren't any signs or other indicators of how to begin, or who to speak to. I sat at a kiosk to watch a video. After the video was nearly finished, someone asked me "who are you? And what are you doing?" I told them that I was a new donor, and was basically chastised for not knowing what I was supposed to be doing. It's great to be talked down to. I guess I'll go try somewhere else.
Literally the slowest place I've ever donated at. Takes upwards of 40 minutes to get set up, purely waiting to get to a bed after check in. Employees standing around chatting while 10 to 15 people wait in line. I understand if it's busy and I have to wait, but its usually not when I've gone.
First time donating ever and I had everything that they would be doing explained to me very well before consent. I felt very comfortable. The staff was very quick and respectful and did not have me wait in line after my physical.
I have visited a few times within the past few weeks and have had to wait 40+ minutes to even sit in a bed to start donating. Last week I visited and sat with a needle in my arm for 20 minutes after my machine beeped and my donation was complete, and it gave me bad anxiety. Especially since two workers were just walking around not helping anyone. Not to mention that $50 for a donation is not at all worth the time it takes to donate here. I would much rather visit biolife moving forward and would suggest the
OMG, SO IMPRESSED w staff & their kindness, professionalism, and caring. Has been the BEST experience ever! Highly recommend CSL. THANK YOU!???????? Kindly, Christine Redman / Hartland
Being an educated and former donor who respectfully stopped donating when my health was an issue had the worst experience when I tried to return to donating. I was told I would need clearance in order to donate again and when I told them that I haven't seen a doctor for over a year bc I changed jobs and didn't have health insurance for that long after I got my health back in order. So being told that it's not their problem but I can't donate until I get a clearance form filled out. Well guess what?? It's no
Their site says less busy then normal, hell the line goes all away around the corner. So e bullshit
I will start off by saying this is the only place I have ever donated plasma, and am new to the whole scene? never knew about it until recently. This location seems clean (could use a good dusting up from in the screening area for sure) and I see the screening staff upfront wiping down counters in between donors & CONSTANTLY changing their gloves, so I give them a great review on that! I do have to say I have had just a couple unpleasant experiences here. One with a very unhappy person in the screening a
Consistently an awful experience. Arrived as a new donor during appropriate time, waited for over an hour and a half, just for a worker to come and ask me if I've been helped (aka they forgot that I was even there) and then told me they no longer are doing new donors! After making me wait and ignoring me until they didn't! Awful staff, poor management, bad experiences each and every time I make the mistake of going here.
Staff that take your vitals are extremely rude. Spoke with 2 of them this morning. The first one obviously hated her job and the second one told me as I was in line that I didn't need to stare at her go to the front of the line. She was on her phone. I'm in customer service and I would never dream of talking or treating the customer the way I was treated today. I told her I would never be back and she said okay. Staff does not want to be there and it's painfully obvious. Trying BioLife. Done with the disre
I enjoy the service we currently are using. My last 2 visits, I was in and out in 45 minutes. Your first couple of visits will take longer as you go through the tutorials and get all set up in their system though. The staff is very friendly and I love the extra monies from being able to help others. Veronica Moore
Waited in the lobby for 15 minutes. Standing at the counter. Was not busy at all. Almost all screening booths had employees in it. But no donors. Even when an employee walked up to the counter they didn't even acknowledge me until another employee had asked them if I had been helped. Just horrible work ethic.
Fast in and out service; when the line isn't wall to wall. I prefer this one over the Miller Rd location. 4.5
Don't donate here. Always a long wait time and employees that just don't care. If they gonna make you wait so long, they need to have higher fees!
This was my first time, so I was not sure about everything involved. From the moment I walked in the door, THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS most helpful, kind, considerate and very professional. The establishment was very clean, and organized! Each person that I came in contact with was AWESOME!! As I am horrible with names, I can tell you that the whole experience was Perfect. Keep doing what you are all doing, because you all do an excellent job!! Thank you for making my experience comfortable and pleasant! See
Now used to go to CSL period 12 to 14 years ago because I had to get money for bills. The Roseville location pulled all trucks in the book to keep me from donating and again tried today to get gas money to get to work tomorrow and got sent away supposedly because my pulse was at 48 to 47. I'm tired of the games being played every time I come to CSL in general to donate. Always get a false reason to be sent away
My name is Melissa Whiteside. Customer service is always pleasant here. Staff is friendly!! Wait times have recently increased but that's probably due to inflation. Today I waited almost an hour to get on the donation floor. But I always have a good donation experience!!
As usual, my wait time was short and I was greeted walking in the door. While my vitals were taken, employee was very astute and asked if I had questions. In the back of the house, the phlebotomy team was amazing and quick!
I must say that donating here has been for the most part a miserable experience. Let me first say that there are some good people that work here.. I'm not actually blaming the employee's as much as the company..a lot of it isn't the employee's fault. It's my opinion that CSL is lacking something in their attendance policy..on any given day (and it's usually weekends it seems).. there is a lot of call-ins.. leaving donors waiting in long lines and what should only take an hour..is now turning into 2-3 hours
I dont know how they only have 3.8 stars I have been going there for almost 4 years and have built an amazing realonship with the staff and starting with the management Rob has always interacted with me and have witnessed him lead by example over the years doing whatever it takes to pitch in and help the team and keeping the center running smoothly because he has the support of his team.nurse Josh another one who does whatever it takes to help the team alwzys friendly and professional. Vitals there all su
Slowest speed of service I've ever encountered. Most of them aren't friendly at all and a lot of people that are on each shift dont all agree on the same rules and regulations making things confusing and take longer than needed. Very unprofessional and frustrating.
Nice building, caring staff, comfortable place to donate. The incentives for first time donors and good as well. Definitely recommend. If you have any issues or discomfort such as dizziness, just let the staff know and they will help you feel better fast.
Definitely not enough help. Went through screening pretty quick. 6 ahead of me in line for donating, bit found out when I got to the donor area, there were 10 ahead of me and none of the machines were set up.
It has been a good experience so far. Good bonuses for frequent donation, friendly staff, and quick donations as long as you hydrate well before coming. It has its busy times but even then the staff is always friendly and it is worth taking the time to do.
Yes this place was a really awesome place to go to before they started telling me that my veins are not good enough anymore when they are now I can't go anymore when I really need the money that was so unfair I'm really going to miss going there when they were good people at that time my advice I would not go there anymore because of what they did to me just saying
Always had a good experience with CSL until recently with only one girl working doing vitals in Grand Blanc named Fran and it's not only once!!!! Fran is very rude in the whole process ! I really think she is an unhappy person. I try to think of what people are going through personally and try not to get upset with a rude person but she has been rude more than once and to other donors! Someone like her should not be working in customer service! My husband and I are regular donors but we are considering sw
the people are nice but if you donate here take the money out of the card instantly at an atm. constantly money is being taking out when im not spending it and even though it says i have money on the northern lane app my real balance is 72 cents and now its -.53 cents and they say im gonna get the money back in 8 calendar days.
This is a horrible place to go to. They lie about their hours. Makes you feel like they do not want you coming there. The gentleman that does the screening laughs and jokes about costumers coming in to donate. Then he complains the whole time about doing his job. I felt like I was in high school sighing up for classes. I'll try Miller rd .
Man it's nice we you get poked and start your donation. But the wait to even get to a bed is freaking ridiculous. Whatever the doin to try and speed it up ain't working. Thas the craziest part is the wait to get into a bed idk why but it is.
DO NOT donate here. Csl is a ripoff. First off i was accidently deferred by the miller rd location, came here thinking it was better. WRONG Won't even pay me reward bonuses that were sent to my email. Cut me off half way through my new donor journey to do blood test. Had to wait 2 weeks, then the Lab messed up my test results, had to come back in to do a sample to wait almost 2 more weeks before I could donate again. It messed up my points and schedule. They act like they didn't wanna Pay me my full amount
Every time I come here they are distracted with personal life. Very unprofessional and lengthy wait time waiting
I've been coming here over a year. Lately seems they've been short staffed and takes forever to get out. I had to have a physical today, and when I was done, he didn't take me to the front of the line. I had to just join the line and lost 30 minutes! There would?ve only been 3 in front of me and now there is 10!
Wait time is way too long. Workers standing around doing nothing while the line grows. Also the phlebotomists mumble instructions and are rude constantly.
The staff here is amazing! So pleasant, informative, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend CSL in grand blanc I was beyond nervous about the procedure, but from my check in ,to my physical and finally the procedure I felt more and more at ease. They answer any and every question you have .
Always very nice staff. Get me in and out and on with my day very quickly. Pokes always go smoothly and they always ask if I need anything during the process.
This place is a joke. No clear info for donation. App. Is useless. Waited 30 min just to talk to someone for first visit. Then told I need my SS card. Who carries that with them? Guess I will no be donating ever. Good luck.
I've been to a few CSLs, and I've about settled on this one being the best near me. Wait times aren't usually too bad, the staff is friendly and fun, and it's very clean.
Over looked multiple times machines just a beeping it's six people n yet no one cares imagine that this place is a joke come back we care been in the same return 30 min now sat for 30 plus minutes with not even acknowledging me in a that time frame getting pretty sad to come over here n have to wait n wait n not even be a my by staff for 30 min lmbo great business let me tell ya callin one person back every ten fifteen minutes cause the staff rather do as much hey want them do they dam jobs half star not ev
The staff is RUDE. They have lied on me several times. The never have the phones on, always a busy signal. The facility is nasty. The bathrooms stink. The Managers are very disrespectful. I wish I could take my star back and give nothing!!
Been going for little over 3 years. Great staff. Sometimes the wait can be quite a bit since starting here. Just look for off times and wait is almost nothing.
I just moved to grand blanc so I had to switch to this location and my experience has been horrible the staff is very rude they don't care about any of the donors and they make you wait to check your vitals even though there's no one ahead of you they truly do suck and its no wonder why they have alot of bad reviews
Awesome environment. I was drawn in by the first four $75 donation incentive. That was months ago and now I come every time I can. The staff is so wonderful and friendly, If I were to list a few I would have to list them all. They always make donating plasma the highlight of my day
I've been going to the Grand Blac location for about six months, sometimes you have to wait longer then normal because they are short staffed at times but I've never had anyone be rude to me like some other reviews have said.
Manager (Kelly) is rude and unprofessional. Demands respect from the donors and yet shows no respect in return. Defers and bans donors under false pretences and fabrication. Ensures donors have the least pleasant experience possible. Will never again go to this location under current management (Kelly).
LC and cassandra is absolutely amazing Cassandra makes sure she's fast and your out the way . LC is a great manager and makes everyone happy and I like how he also donates it makes me feel a lot more confident. Completely better than miller rd
So incredibly slow. Only come to this location if you have 3 hours to stand in line and then another hour to sit in the chair not being taken care of while the ladies chit chat with each other.
The floor staff are excellent and very kind, I've been to other donating companies but this one is hands down the best
If you have deep veins, I wouldn't go here. I only donated around 4/5 times, and they always would put the needle in, and then try to find my vein, causing me to bruise sooo bad! My last straw was when they messed up both of my arms the same day, causing one of my arms to be bruised BAD for a whole month! It just wasn't worth it to me. I haven't dontated plasma since! Also, they weren't the kindest of people!
Great environment. I enjoy the staff and the cleanliness of the center. Reasonable wait times, even during busy hours. Will continue to donate at this center.
9 out of 10 times, I have a really great experience :) sometimes you hear a lot of drama from certain staff members ???????
This place is alright the first time I went was a breeze this last time it hurt the whole time,I'm pretty sure it was the phlabotamist but it wasn't to awful and I did not say anything to staff about it so it's all on me. All and all great place Anthony snyder
Everyone here explains every step of the process and makes you so comfortable! I was so nervous to donate but they made sure I was at ease and understood the whole process. I highly recommend them!
Typically things move quickly. Customer service is dependent upon who takes care of you, but it's overall a good place to donate at.
Experience was not what I expected. Pleasantly surprised. Workers were professional, friendly and thorough. Made me feel at ease and comfortable
Csl has been a great experience for me and the staff have all been very helpful generous and very respectful. Thank you CSL team as a whole for making this a comfortable experience.
Now they are closed Sundays I have to go to the Flint one
I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. No issues with workers polite good service. I would definitely recommend them to others.
I was going to donate plasma twice a week at CSL plasma. I logged in and made a donor profile. But reading the reviews and experiences, I am going to watch and wait. Not enticing for a beginner.
Always a decent experience. Not bad wait times most days and the staff is always friendly.
My time here was very pleasant and welcoming and warm feeling my wait time was very short great customer service michael bonesteel
With the power outage yesterday, there were a lot of donors, but the staff were all hands on deck so it went quicker than expected based on the line of donors.
The staff is very rude they make it extremely hard to donate although I had all proper credentials one manager approve me for what I had on my phone and the next one kicked me out for the same credentials that I had one manager accepted the next one didn't they unorganized they pick and choose the people who they going to let donate they have poor people skills very disappointed
Couple times I went there was no line, fast and friendly service. Very nice and clean place!
I haven't been here yet, and I want to go. The reviews are so back and forth, it's a great place, it's a terrible place, how do you know what reviews to believe? I need some real answers
Friendly staff, minimal wait times, and the staff make plasma donating feel like a welcomed visit with friends. Very professional, yet relaxed and worry free.
Great staff. Knowledgeable. And timely. Have had little issues here. Avoid Biolife!
Personnel very friendly and helpful. Wait time was a little long but was a good experience.
Have had nothing but great experiences here at csl, except they don't like to pick the phone seems like it's always busy. But other than that everyone is awesome and respectful
The wait time is horrible on sundays but have decent people that work here that are friendly (bryceson jordan)
Friendly staff! Short wait! Knowledgeable! Helpful! Been here for 3 years now and love love love!
Always have had a positive experience with the Flint location. Great people, both employees and doners.
Amazing staff such a friendly place to go for a good cause!! First time and I love it!
Very friendly, efficient, and gentle! Love this CSL location!
The staff here are amazing...everyone is friendly, and the process is fast, professional and virtually painless.
Waited for ppl I took not to bad of a wait
The "doctor" or whatever he calls himself should learn some people skills , talk like that to someone outside of your work and you're liable to get socked
On my first visit I was very pleased by how professional and easy the whole process was. I will be back.
Good facility I had previously been going to grifols plasma and had many bad experiences there I recommend you save yourself the grief and come to CSL very friendly staff and clean facility
Most of the staff are pretty helpful and friendly, The extra staff seems to help things move more quickly. Katie Triplett
I've always been treated great and the procedure is harmless, I'm glad I go there !!!
Today's visit was good! I was in and out very quickly!
This facility is amazing. The staff makes the donation process so easy.
Friendly staff. They would get more donors if the hours were correct. They are open weekends.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
