CSL Plasma Gulfport, MS

The overall experience from CSL Plasma is quite underwhelming leading to my 3-Star review. From the moment you walk in you're greeted by a disastrously long line and wait times just to get screened, only to be put right back into a long line to be stuck. Aside from the lines and low pay, which continuously goes down (currently $40/$45) . Given all of those factors the customer service is top tier and makes the whole experience worth it. Ms. Terri in screening is the highlight of my week and look forward to

Staff is cool people. From the nurse to the phlebotomists all around good people. They care about the customers/clients, they are respectful, and they are great at what they do! From light hearted jokes to the smooth process I absolutely recommend donating here??????

The people are really nice but the reason for the low stars is I've been there maybe like 5 times total within a matter of a few years and two of those time they blew a vein and I took these pictures today and it happened on Wednesday.

Today was the worst experience on top of favoritism I had been waiting to get disconnected from the machine why the employees playing around and talking to who they want to and not pay attention to other patients who could need assistance or help. This is my last time here until y'all can get people who really care about they jobs and not acting like we still in high school

My husband was excited to go back to donate after 3 years got a paper signed from doctor saying that he could and even got a new card. When he returned the nurse showed him he was permanently deferred without a reason. We are so upset with this

A lot of the women here make me uncomfortable.. when I speak to them, they make it completely obvious that they do not give a F about what I have to say.. JADA, on the other hand, is absolutely the sweetest!! when I speak to her, I KNOW, She cares and is concerned about what I am about to say!! she truly is the perfect phlebotomist!! thanks JADA!! stay sweet and stay humble!! Bad experience! This place is very shady! People you are totally getting screwed out of money here, $45-$60 that you get per donation is pennies based on what Csl gets for your plasma. Do your research!

during my visit, Ms. Tearia was very helpful and very mindful to others and her peers. Absolutely terrible experience. Over 4 hours of my day wasted. I was eligible to donate but ended up walking out because there was zero communication as to what was supposed to happen to me and I sat frustrated and was passed back and forth too much. It's unfortunate because I was looking for a way to give back, but I'll just go to American Red Cross blood drives. Robin was exceptionally great at her job. I was so scared, but she explained everything to me so well. I followed her instructions and donated in just 30 minutes. She didn't hurt me at all as she poked me with the needle and to my surprise and relief, her instructions kept me from feeling any pain from pressure. She was so professional and obviously VERY well trained. Great job, CSL! You hire the right people and train them to excellence, keep it up!

The only problem I have with this place is the check in vitals area, when there is a line of people waiting and the ladies who do the checking in should not be standing there BSing with each other. They get a break time for that and when there is no line you do that. I have seen people leave because of this many times. When you get to the back they are very professional and friendly, TE-TE, Emily, Akimbe, Angel and Cynthia are some of the best people there in the back.

This place is amazing food workers security there makes it safer for donors and phlebotomists like johnathan make it easy and quick if you're wanting a in or out he is the best to take my blood. So hurry

The staff at CSL Gulfport are amazing. Chloe, Kimba, Mimi, Erika, Stevie, and everyone I have interacted with are so compassionate, empathetic and professional. I couldn't ask for a better staff.

Csl plasma is a bunch of bologna. They have the nerve to take more plasma, but have gone down on the pay. I'm not going again. They also don't give you the referral money they suppose to give. They need to close because management don't treat the employees right. Like I say I'm not going again.

I enjoy coming to the Gulfport MS location. The staff is always pleasant to interact with. Ms. Tearia in vitals is always a joy to interact with. The only issue I have is that it is unbearablely busy at times. But the staff does work hard at getting through the lines as quick as possible.

I have to brag on CSL employee Jasmine Reed! Jasmine is amazing! She is so sweet to me every time I see her. She remembers my name, makes sure to come around and give me a hug. She makes me feel so welcome. On days when I am donating and she isn't there I sure miss her. She is always going above and beyond not only for me but I've witnessed this with other donors. Jasmine is the best!

It use to be a pretty good place to go, but management has been slacking pretty bad. It takes 3 to 5 hours now just to get in and out. You don't make minimum wage it you get paid hourly. It seems to be going down hill fast.

Well I went in to donate plasma about two weeks ago and I was turned down due their inability to find a vein. Although this has never been an issue in the past (I am a healthy 63 year old Male!). Nonetheless I encountered a very compassionate and selfless nurse that really appeared to care about the clients and our overall welfare. Her name was Krystal with a "k" she apparently was a new employee. But let me tell you she was the real deal. God bless you Krystal K!!I think I will go back at least once more

Went down on price again ... went from $45.00 to $43.00 the fist time and the second $60.00 to $50.00 thats a $12.00 decrease ... front desk are not professional and play to much .

awful. came in a year ago, and it wasn't this slow . it took 45 minutes just to get stuck . & the vital line moves so slow , it's impossible to get it and get out . so if ur coming here , ur whole schedule needs to be clear , or be prepared to waste ur time .

I understand people get busy; however, I arrived at 12. I watched 4 people come in after me and 3 be called before me. This went on for the 1st 2hrs of when I arrived. When I mentioned that I was still waiting they sent me to a room where I suppose I was going to get screened. I went in at 2 and waited until 3:15. Having to use the restroom I got up to see what was taking so long, and it turns out they simply just forgot I was even there.

Completely unprofessional and the gossip you hear from the employees working and the excessive flirting. Staff needs to be re-trained especially for the sexual harassment towards donors. Good place for extra cash staff acts like they have more important things to do though stopped going 8 months ago bc a lady named Robin swatted me after ignoring me that my blood pressure cuff was too tight I go back after awhile and the first time I had to wait 40 minutes for someone to fix my address( staff didn't enter correct address format) to be able to donate. These guys are awesome! I recently moved from VA to MS and this is my first time coming to CSL. They're like the only plasma place in south Mississippi from my understanding but that's okay with me. I've tried twice now to donate. First, even tho I'm a returning donor, my ID was expired a couple of months ago and they said I had to get another one. K. So I do that. I want to add another thing to my review. My wife needed to talk to her dad and it was an emergency. The lady got onto her which there was a couple people on the phone and one had to say she couldn't talk to her dad. Sometimes when people call it's for a valid reason.

I have been coming to this site for almost a year and I just got deferred for something that's wasn't mine fault. If your employees not setting up the machine properly how is it my fault if something goes wrong and they take you off early just to get deferred for 56 days not professional

They didn't log the volume of plasma taken and have yet to compensate me for it. It's been 9 days as of today. I was told today to check next Tuesday. Hopefully they will fix this issue before then. Unfortunately there isn't anything I can do but wait. Extremely disappointed with this outcome this is the first time this has happened.

Been donating for almost 20 years and haven't had a problem with csl in half a dozen states.

This nurse named Krystal was the best. Super friendly and helpful. I wish all of the employees were that sweet.

Very unprofessional. Have donated at multiple locations and had a few hours and went in to renew my status as a lapsed donor. Left me sitting for over an hour. Someone finally took me in for an exam and then promptly said I shouldn't have been waiting for an exam and sent me back to the front desk where they told me to sit and wait in the exact seat I had been waiting in for over an hour. Worst experience I've ever had. Walked out and no one even cared...

Today was my 9th time to donate. Jessica was the beautiful girl that stuck my arm. This was the first time that I had somebody that knew exactly how to do it. Later I took the bandage off my arm and there's no mark on my arm. Truly a professional. I hope to see her again to thank her.

This center is consistently under staffed. Parking is unavailable even in the over flow lot. I've spent time waiting in parking lot till someone leaves so I can park. I thank the workers here but I am seldom thanked for my donation. The facility is not as clean as it should be, especially the ladies restroom. There is no way to leave comments on exit survey.

I've been coming since July and everyone is professional and they get you in and out as quickly as possible

They have gotten much faster and hired a lot of new staff. So most visit times are down to 60 minutes or less

Been donating 14 years.as of January 1,2025 they cut our pay $13 a week took away our give rewards. They are making more money than ever an paying Way Less

It's a good place but if someone is calling for an emergency they shouldn't say u can't talk. That's disrespectful. I think u should talk to someone that is calling for valid reason. But other than that it's an okay place.

Good Service in good staff.

Most of the staff didn't make me feel welcome and comfortable there. The old black lady behind the front desk seemed to have a problem w everything I would say or do. Her and others there made me feel like I was just an inconvenience and I know you never know who I could be writing this and could be an annoying person but I'm telling you I'm not. It's not a place that makes me ththink of caring nurses and then having attitudes doesn't help when you're already kinda nervous to give blood for the first time

You might as well clear your whole day schedule.. for starters they are understaffed you could be left standing at that front desk for 30 minutes with no assistance at all. So then the question comes to mind if they can't so much as staff a front desk; where else are they cutting corners, and just exactly how well is the facility and equipment maintained. This was supposed to be my first donation through CSL... Think I will just stick to the good old Red Cross.

It takes forever to get in back, they have new machines, which they have had for a few months. Its so much longer of a wait than the old machines. You have to wait almost 3 hrs to make 45 dollars, such a waste of time. New machines take forever to set up.. please bring back the old machines

I have had only good experiences at this location...yes sometimes lines are long but the staff is on the ball. They get you in and get you out. Everyone is nice and they have great attitudes.

The staff were very friendly and happily answered any questions. The place looked clean, but I did notice that they didn't wipe down the beds between donors. The front desk staff did tend to talk quickly, and it was sometimes hard to catch everything, but I can understand with how busy they were. I was nervous going in because I'm a hard stick, and my veins tend to roll. However the phlebotomist was very good and made sure to feel for my vein before sticking, and he got it on the first try. Been there a few times. The staff is really rude and very unprofessional. Very bad attitude. Multiplies times i have seen the staff outside in there cars smoking weed. Come back in the building smelling like a can of febreze or perfume exploded on there outfit. Security guards says management knows about it but doesn't nothing. This place is a joke. They make you wait forever while the staff talks about nothing. To make it even better,they never have enough people to handle the volume of people that do come in (so get ready to wait longer). They try to make you come on certain days. The VIPs get to skip to the front of the line when you have been patiently waiting, because they pay for a card and new donors skip you to (waiting even more). Three quarters of the people who stick don't know how to stick without messing up your arm.

Good start turned HORRIBLE. I went in for my second visit as a new donor. While getting blood drawn my doctor called about emergency appointment. I wasnt on the phone 5 seconds before a tech comes over and rudely demanded I get off the phone. This isn't a legitimate establishment. Big Bertha in the front and all the other employees make their own rules for the donors. I've seen them kick people out for asking how long the wait is after waiting over 3 hours. They are dirty, don't wash their hands or change their gloves. They need your plasma just as much as you need the money so somewhere your not gonna be disrespected by dirty people who have power play issues. They are the problem with this place. I'd give them 0 stars if I could. Staff acts like they can say whatever they want to you. Very rude to clients. They don't do their job (failed to put that I had a lip piercing in their system when I clearly marked it on the poster) and will defer you for their mistakes. Been going to this place for years all of a sudden my iron is too these ignorant people just wanna waste your time and lie so you can't donate & can't get paid. If your healthy and at a reasonable weight you don't get paid what you deserve. They only care about getting fat & unhealthy people in . I had an experience here that I won't go into great detail about But I will say I signed as a new donor expecting my first 3 visits to be $100 then 3 @ $50 then 2 @$100 my visit was a nightmare leaving me hurt and not able to return for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I returned I received the next $100 then the 3 $50's on my 7'th visit I was paid $50 but signed up for $100 I was told I didn't do all eight visits in 30 days so I was not eligible for the last 2 $100 visits???? I wish they would STOP changing their hours. Every time I go, the hours are different. It's rather annoying and VERY inconvenient. What's the point in signing up for alerts when I never receive alerts (nor notification of business hour changes)? Please Do not donate here!!! Their very rude, and DO NOT change their gloves between donors. Then they put hematoma on you that stays around for about 6 wks or more. They put words in your mouth. That you've never said. Don't go in there with working man's hands. Like a blister from working hard. They'll tell you can't donate. Y'all need to hand pamphlets out with specifics in it. Not pleased with how they treat people and the way they make their rules. They deferred me for a week for my protien being too low but yet if your protein is high u can come back the next day. After I was told I had to start over as being a new donor, o proceeded with no problem But while I was waiting for the next step, I was questioned about my adress. My overall experience donating blood plasma has been great. The employees are very professional and upholds donor safety to the fullest. I am a lead phlebotomist at CSL and the complaints that I am seeing is Bogus. No one put a gun up to your head and told you to go donate. If you do not like to go then don't., but don't knock down the people that do go there and appreciate the services that they are rendered.

I have been a donor for almost a year and my vein has never been butchered like it was on Tuesday(9/27/16). A new phlebotomist kept going in and out and side to side with the needle! After all that pain, she couldn't even finish. Chase had to come over and finish sticking me. She left a big bruise on my arm due the mistreatment of my vein. Rudest medical providers I have ever experienced. Especially the main phlebotomist. Will call you out just for sitting in the wrong chair. Lord knows don't stand in front of the waist high door. While there is a sign, if it's your first time, the nurse doesn't tell you and they will lose their mind. Plus they use scotch tape instead of medical tape. Let me say it again. SCOTCH DESK TAPE! Far too many bad things to list in this places, to name a few. .. immature staff! unreasonable rules such as deferring for a week for low protein! I got fed up with never finding a parking spot because there's not enough parking I chose to just WALK the 3 1/2 hrs to try and donate just to CONSTANTLY be deferred for low protein when I know had more than enough protein! Always a line, need some more plasma centers in Orange Grove or Biloxi to help the strain. Never had any problems or issues. Bathroom always very clean, and friendly staff. Chase, Travis, and Becca are my favs. Definitely will be back.
