I had a good experience with staff and cleanliness, and the timing is always quick. I appreciated that people were friendly. I was defferred TODAY because three weeks ago a lady put scotch tape on my arm and then ripped it off. It created a bruise. She also caused bruising at the insertion site, and isn't a very good stick at all. I asked that the scotch tape not be used anymore and that I have a latex/adhesive allergy and the medical tape used before was fine. The nurse made such a huge deal out of this a
The staff there is usually very nice and friendly and everything usually goes by very quickly and efficiently however, there's this new staff member that works there. She's very short. I don't know her name but she's like 3 foot tall you guys know who I'm talking about lol. But anyways She let in like three people by the time I've been done for 10 minutes I kindly Said I don't know how this works but can I get unhooked because there's multiple people that just came in and I have things to do. She just sat t
You're better off going to Akron. Some people are very inconsiderate that work here. No wonder they have low numbers of both customers and staff. They don't realize they mess with people's lives. I won't be returning. ??????????
Kind souls here Clean place. The workers deserve raises. Never really had any issues here besides patience at times. Getting deferred sucks however that's on me. Chill and cool people there. 100- donations in, never had a issue. Worth the visits. Thank you.
Very nice and helpful. I had a deferral from 2002 that they took care of time efficient. They do a good job. Its always clean.
I go here because the one in Akron bruises me. So recently once a week I get bruised, from the one in Kent, about once a week then I have to miss a week. Oh joy. I don't know what to do.
I'm giving this specific location the lowest rating I could possibly give I can say this much the managers don't gaf about their staff they like to give specific employees a hard time obviously they don't care if they are busy or not and when reception asks for help they want to give them attitudes while they are in the back sitting on their phones and delegating tasks instead of getting up and helping out their employees I have been a manager for half of my MEDICAL career and I have never witnessed such bl
The employees are sweet and hard working people the only reason I return. They're warm friendly hard working and take pride in they're jobs. Beyond that the corporate side bismal to deal with along with the card service. They manipulate the staff and customers. They offer bonuses till they're over booked then take them away and want you to wait extra for less money then hassle you with card fees. I'm slowly edging away from anything like this.....
Waste of time. Take you through all the steps and hold a cut with a bandaid on it against you. Don't even try if you got any kind of bandaid on. My spouse has had both arms blown out on numerous trips. He hasn't been in a while and they did it again today. They told him wait a few months before coming back. You blow his veins up no matter how long we wait. It's time to just quit donating plasma. Obviously they don't need it. Since they turn away perfectly fit and healthy people.
Everyone is nice, except for the nurses and management. I went in to donate plasma on Thursday, May 16th, and I was sent back to the nurse because of scratch marks I had on my arm from my cats. Upon examining my arms, the nurse, Ben, saw a little bit of sunburn and proceeded to freak out, calling in a second nurse and claiming that I was deemed illegible to donate ever again unless I either bring in a doctors note or the sunburn goes away, then Ben started acting rude afterwards up until I left. The nex
UPDATE: He missed over a whole months worth of donations going back and forth to the Dr's to prove he was medically cleared to donate. Somehow the results of the first blood tests to prove that the "Dr" there was very wrong weren't enough. Our primary dr had to fax over all the visit history, more blood test results and a very obviously frustrated and snarky note for this place to stop this nonsense. Seemed a little like retaliation for getting reported to me. What a joke this location is ?? And p.s: That
[RE] EDITED REVIEW: It's been a solid couple of months now and the staff seems steady and most of the people who work there are all nice and seem to know what they're doing. As long as this stays consistent I would highly recommend going to this location. OLD EDITED REVIEW: it's been a few months since my previous review but now I can say it has gotten better. Not sure if the staff have been seeing reviews or been getting complaints from donors, but they've definitely improved. Every now and again there ar
Been a happy donor for 4 years. No more. The past few months I get the same phlebotomist who constantly leaves bruises, leaving me ineligible to donate until it heals. I gave her the benefit of the doubt (shes very sweet), but after awhile, I started protesting to the staff, including the nurse. Nothing was done. It went ignored. I got her once again and I bruised instantly and had to be stuck in the other arm by someone else. Keep in mind, nobody else prior seemed to have an issue with the stick. I rarely
I had been coming here for at least five years until they permanently deferred me for receiving care for mental health health at a hospital in 2022. I gave that information willingly, thinking it wouldn't matter, because it shouldn't. I am very healthy. My vitals are absolutely perfect. It was during my physical check-up. The nurse asked when my last asthma attack was, and I said "last summer. I remember because I was in the hospital." And he asked why I was in the hospital, and I said that I was receiving
Today was my first time ever donating Plasma. I was very nervous of how I would feel since I don't do good after donating blood. Your first visit will be a process but it's for your safety and the lives you can save. I first meet with Lorrie the nurse. Her knowing this was my first time she did not make me feel comfortable. There was no smile behind the mask. Spoke way to fast. Most importantly she seems more annoyed. If she unfortunately was dealing with something personal she must learn to leave it at th
Staff is very friendly. The lines are much shorter than surrounding centers such as akron or canton, and the facility is well kept and clean. I will admit they don't have the most experienced phlebotomists, but they seem eager to learn and appear to genuinely care for the donors and do what they can to ensure a pleasant visit.
There is always something with this place. It is clean and there are some awesome employees (Heather, Dan to name a few). Got in at 245 after my cleaning job, while being screened my pulse was allegedly 111. Now, I'm not ruling it out but only one other time in i think 5 yrs of donating have o ever been elevated. I asked the screener, Rachel, if it could be that my sweater sleeve is too snug when I pulled it up. She said yes. She didn't wait a full 15 min to call me back over but i was told by the ma
Would leave 0 stars. They make roughly $6,000 off each person on a daily basis. Sure saving lives and making money off unsuspecting people. Keep letting them drain your life so they can make all that bank. They should pay you a lot more.
Been here a few times now, everyone?s nice and it doesn't take too long to get out. Fast payment and easy process.
I have only ever been to this facility to donate, but I will say it is very clean and sterile. The employees are very friendly and they were extremely helpful when I went for my first time (not knowing what to do). The process on the first time is around 4 hours but after that it usually takes 1.5 hours tops unless you go during a really busy time! It's easy money and it helps people which is always a good feeling! 10 out of 10 would recommend to my best friend!
Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient group that is attentive to the donor's needs. I've had good experiences here. The donors are respectful to each other here. The staffing to donor ratio seems adequate because the wait times are very minimal. I'm usually in and out relatively quickly.
I've been going here for months, gave blood multiple times, then a random person defers me because he couldn't find my vein yet the other nurses could
Very rude staff, except the Phlebotomist. The front staff treated me as though I were under arrest! They do not listen, and so everything took so much longer than it should. Fire the short brunette in ponytail who was there on Saturday, September 24th around 1pm. She is vile.
TaJaya is awesome in the blood draw room, as it being my first visit I was a little anxious but my process was easy and she left my only arm I can work with (due to tattoos) with no bruise and I left feeling like nothing happened! Everyone made me feel comfortable here
I been going to Csl in Kent for about 2 years now. I have seen a dramatic change. When I was first going I went twice a week the staff was well put togther and moved quick and accurate. Everyone got a long great. How ever I have noticed a lot of change last atleast 6 months and I dont go as often. Staff are now quitting or getting fired and as a result I am constantly seeing new staff faces. This place is not good to its employees not like it use to. They are always either short staffed or over staffed. The
Enjoy watching people stand around instead of checking people in to keep the line moving. A lot of people in there acting way more important than what they are. Watching 5 people talk to each other right now, I know at least 4 can check people in. No wonder the line is stupid here constantly.
Every member of that staff is friendly... when I go in, they remember me and chat and ask how I'm doing. They are VERY clean and very careful, and if they prick you wrong (which can be inevitable based on your veins) they make it right and make sure you're comfortable. I recommend them to anyone that asks, especially as a college student that tends to be wary of needles.
I was excited about making $100 for the session. Everything was fine until they asked me what gender I was born at birth. I'm trans mtf so my gender I WAS ASSIGNED at birth was male. This was the first issue. Issue number 2 was that I had to answer if I was a male in a relationship or a female. For obvious reasons I chose female. Then the lady asked me as she was reviewing my questions if I was a woman ?or a trans?. excuse me what?? I wouod have to be put into the system as male until I had my gender on my
Stay away from this place they have no clue to what they doing. They aren't trained enough to poke you with a needle and there machines don't work properly. This place will make you get a blood clot. They were told several times there is problems here but they do care about you and your health. You truly are getting hooked up by a stranger they hire off the streets that have no idea what they are doing. This is a warning to stay away from this place.
WARNING: THIS PLACE WILL BAIT & SWITCH WITH DONOR FEES. An employee told me I would be receiving $125 for my donation. She confirmed with another employee that I would be on the old donor fee schedule. After donation, I was told my fee was $40-something. This seems to be the result of poor communication but that has no place in a facility like this. DONOR BEWARE. Two employees told me incorrect information and neither the quality assurance employee or the manager could do anything to remedy this. They offe
this thing won;t let me give you zero stars. understaffed, wait times are unacceptable. used to be in and at home inside an hour. no fault of the phlebotomist(s). managers on the floor don't help by sticking patients. upper management hides behind the wall ( when its busy drop what you are doing and pitch in. without us you have no job) pay your people so they want to stay. my friends and i are about to go to Bio Test. maybe they will take care of the people who make them money today there was a ma
The staff is very friendly, and make you feel comfortable. They kept asking if I was doing ok, and it was my first time there, and I was still in and out within an hour and 45 minutes. Compared to Akron that was 4 hours. Donating time was about 45 minutes. They are very clean, and I will be going back there from now on. They give u a pay card that works instantly. You don't have to activate or anything. Open, and use! They pay well also. Great for when you're in need of quick cash. If u want to avoid big fe
Terrible experience Too many of the kids that are there to drawl your plasma have terrible attitudes. Too many times they stick that needle in your arm ? miss their target pull it out and go in again! Painful ! Not worth the time, pain and having to put up with the sneers, eye rolls and bad attitudes.
The staff here is SOO nice! They truly care about you and your health and never want you to be pain or uncomfortable. Kim and Michael are my favs! I always have a great experience
I just want to say. I've donated blood regularly in the past and although I know it wasn't the same thing I figured it would be cool to donate again and get paid. I arrived there and was greeted by a rude woman who wasn't sure what she was doing. She questioned the piece of mail I brought in. It was a bill for time warner cable. She had the woman check my veins and that woman was rude as well. Even though she found a vein in my left arm she brought me to the front and made me wait 20 mins. Then she told m
Hard times brought me here, but it was overall a pleasant experience. First time donor, and staff was patient with me and answered all of my questions. I also began to faint and they immediately brought me ice packs and fanned me until I was done donating and I was compensated. 5 stars.
I enjoy coming to this location to donate plasma. The staff is friendly and, even though there are no TVs, the music is catchy enough to keep you entertained if you forgot your head phones. On a side note- another way to entertain yourself is to race the other people donating. If you get a stress ball and squeeze it to a quick rhythm while the machine is extracting (not when it's giving your blood back- that's when you rest) you'll be out of there in no time!
Be very careful here. The staff are untrained and they will tell you that your blood tested off on something for intentional deferal during your bonus week. You are unable to speak to anyone in their corporate office for concerns. Several HIPAA violations have been reported as well as reports to the State of Ohio Health Department and FDA. You're safer donating at a different facility.
I went last year and got deferred for 1 year they said I could come back. I called to see what day exactly they said I was deferred forever. The front desk lady was rude and disrespectful put me on hold while I was in the middle of talking. Would not recommend to anyone.
Ive donated plasma at several locations over the course of years. This location does not have tvs to watch. Staff is generally slow despite lower numbers of donators compared to their akron location. Ive sat more the once with no flow awaiting adjustment to be given attitude and my low flow be blamed on not pumping. Ive witnessed a lot of attitude from phlebotomists. The most recent case was one who snapped at a donor for answering a phone call, however this donor was literally here for his first time and w
For someone who has been to all of the plasma centers in NE Ohio: Grifols, bpl, bio life, including other csl locations, this the best facility. Phlebotomist are precise with needle placement, staff is friendly and long lines are moved in good time.
This place just gets worse and worse. The staff hates there jobs and they treat the patients that way. No since of ergency. Always seem to be short handed. Probably another company that doesn't pay there employees enough to give a @&$!
I went yesterday to donate plasma and the man with the ponytail in booth 1 wasn't being professional and was making me uncomfortable by asking personal questions and said you have any plans this weekend? or dirty plans.
Wost donation bay staff EVER front staff was good but in the back they are deliberately lazy. I sat wordless in a half empty bay being ignored by the staff too busy socializing to even setup my machine although i was the only one there not already stuck. LESS THAN ONE STAR
I've been a donor for quite some time. Was so grateful when they opened here. No more drives to Akron. This Kent center is a nice place, clean and professional. Friendly staff! ?
Ive came here over 20 times in the past few months and they have hit or miss service some employess are consistently nice but sadly not the ones that work with the people or on the floor. Sad that people try to donate to help others get plasma and even put a little money in their pocket but this place wants to make it difficult and hard to do so and its sad completly sad
Clean, and most of the employees are nice. Sometimes if it is really busy they may stick you fast and it won't draw as efficiently as it should.
The staff is hostile to each other and they don't all follow the rules for promotions two weeks this month I didn't get my ticket for September's drawing last week I thought the pregnant phlebotomist was going to kill the fat blonde phlebotomist they screwed me out of 20 dollars last week too
This location is the best plasma donation site I've ever been to. Very organized and efficient. Friendly staff for the most part. Highly recommend. Keep up the good work!
Everyone that works there is very nice and professional. They really care about you and make sure you leave happy.
Why did you guys close at 3 PM. And why do you not let people donate if they have a high heart rate. We hate this place. We'd probably go here or to Talecris. Trash
I was .2 over their recommended temperature and I was told I couldn't donate when I've seen other people sit for 5-15 minutes and get back in line
This is the cleanest, quickest, and overall best plasma center I've been to. Regulars can expect to be in and out in 90 minutes or less during off peak hours.
Racist. They claim they deferral because iodine made arm itch , when they could just use alcohol! Y?all need a complaint filed on y?all
Very unprofessional. Your time means nothing to them and their attitudes are on their own level.
A worker let my blood spray like a water hose from a tube on my pants. She hid from me the rest of the time. The supervisor was kind enough to pay the cleaning Bill only because I approached him.
Staff is friendly everything is just OK but then they pay you with a credit card that I believe is owned by CSL plasma as it says on the card and THE CARD FEES JUST ROB YOU OF EVERYTHING THEY PAID YOU. $5/$2 FEE TO WITHDRAW FROM ATM OR IF YOU OPT TO JUST USE IT INSTEAD OF TAKING CASH OUT THEY CHARGE A FEE EVERY TIME AND DECLINE FEES AND IF YOU DON'T DONATE A COUPLE MONTHS THEY CHARGE MONEY FOR NO USE AND ROB YOU AGAIN. THEY NEED ANOTHER WAY TO PAY OR STOP ALL THE FEES IT'S RIDICULOUS! !!!!! MAKES IT NOT WO
OverallThe staffAre very friendlyBut the bathrooms are awfulThe floors are sticky by the toiletsAnd the toiletsAre not cleaned regularly
Nice place but the flirting needs to stop made my husband uncomfortable don't mind going but it's unnecessary just do your job.
They are pretty efficient. I'm always in and out of there in about an hour. It was never like that when I went to the one in akron
place is fine go there all the time be happy its not Cleveland's csl on w25th
Wouldn't recommend to anyone! The manager was rude didn't care about the customers that were there giving to save lives. Place is dirty... horrible customer service!!!! Never donating at this site!
I have been here a COUPLE times and the staff is so nice and the facility is very clean, the people here are very polite
This place is such a scam. The rig the results so you cannot donate so they do not have to pay you the bonus for the month. They said my pulse was 103 I knew that was not right and immediately went to a pharmacy to have it checked and it was 83. BEWARE THEY SCAM YOU AND DO NOT EVER WANT TO PAY YOU THE BONUS!!!!
I've donated 7 times now and I've had great experiences every time.
They are very friendly and it's a great way to get a little extra money on the side.
I come here all the time and the staff is very helpful and friendly ??
The wait time can be extremely ridiculous! Staff is never the same, revolving door. Can't keep enough people trained to stick.
Have been going there for several months. Clean environment, wonderful staff.
My first experience was good. The staff is friendly and caring.
Terrible service some workers treat guest like trash while the people in the back sticking treat guest rude. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone
Ppl there are great.
Very friendly environment and workers do their best to keep donors comfortable.
Clean, friendly and quick. New donor bonus is very nice.
Nurse is extremely rude and is not professional will be looking into filing a lawsuit because I recorded my experience
Go in there with a heart rate of 110sent me home with a rate of 103 another 10 mins would of been down to under 100 .Waste if Time.
Everyone knew the answers to all my questions. I wish I remembered the name of the lady who drew my plasma, she is very nice and knows her stuff.
Great place to donate plasma. The staff here is very friendly and personable and the facility itself is very clean and neat.
They are friendly and make me feel appreciated, thanks!
My boyfriend goes their and the staff keeps the place clean and their friendly
Rude staff and you get underpaid I wouldn't go unless its a last resort
Boyfriend goes their to donate and their always on time and its clean
It's a great way to make extra money ????
Closed until further notice due to water damage didn't update web site or google to say the are closed
Was fast and easy staff was great ??????
The staff always seems annoyed or rushed to do their jobs.
Very friendly staff (mostly) and clean facility.
Great when you need quick cash for gas, or something
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
