Many people I have encountered here are very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately not enough to outweigh the negative experiences I have had here. On the day of my first donation, I had a bad stick in both arms that left me very bruised and unable to donate for several weeks. I understand that my veins are probably not optimal for donating and that mistakes happen, but I still didn't enjoy how I was treated when this occurred. The person taking my blood condescendingly asked if I prepared for this, and I

I have no complaints about any of the workers there , as they all have made me feel comfortable and welcomed . But there is one staff member who never fails to make my vists there more enjoyable , Brittany , she is very friendly and an easy person to talk to . Everytime i go i always look foward to seeing her she is the bombbb dot commmm????

Black female manager was staring me down while technician was helping. My guess is she wanted to let me know she was in charge, because she overheard me tell the technician that she was the only employee that has ever asked me to remove my sweatshirt before stepping on the scale. The Manager should focus on training her staff so they ?all? follow the correct procedures instead of trying to intimidate me. Lol I have never witnessed the manager doing anything but stand around. One visit I heard her on the fro

Overall a quick procedure, but the screening phlebotomist Britt held my finger really hard and pushed the little stabber against my finger unnecessarily hard. I've been donating for the better part of 10 years and I know when a screener or histories person doesn't like me, but this was out of nowhere, and she immediately wanted to do my blood pressure, so my guess was that she was trying to defer me for the day to prevent more work. Then when I was done with my screening I complained at the front desk to th

This donation center is great! The employees are very friendly and welcoming. The nurses are great. Monica did my yearly physical today and we had a fun laugh a few times making it light and quick. Ryan is a happy face to see when I come in. He always says hi and is very funny. Jason is great! He remembers so many people's names and he is a good conversationalist. Overall I enjoy coming here twice a week. They do their best and I recommend anyone give it a go.

Long lines but the staff works very diligent displaying speed and precision for the best possible Donor experience

I donate twice a week every week for the last 2 years. Me and 2 other people went to the same booth got identical failing temperatures and instead of retesting our temperature with a different thermometer they told us too bad. We all showed up a little over an hour before closing too so there was no reason to not accommodate us. Especially when they let the next person use a different machine we didn't use and they were able to pass. Machines can lose calibration even if it's done in the day.

Staff is amazing, management is amazing. But did someone in corporate think this new machine roll out was going to make things faster? Because the wait times are now twice as long as they were before. I used to come in and be out in an hour. Now everyone is standing in line up front for over an hour and then going to the back and standing in line for over an hour and we only get $50? This is ridiculous raise the donor pay outs back up. This process is getting longer and longer lately. People don't go to wo

After being asked multiple times about my political beliefs and refusing to agree or take sides with my nurse on politics they blew out veins in both my arms, causing extreme pain and forcing me to stop the donation.

Posting from my spouse's account since I've already left a review on mine. We went to donate together and my husband was deferred from booth #2 with a temp of 99.6F. He went to wait for me outside but then noticed the man he sent into booth #2 was also deferred. Husband asked the man if he was deferred, the man said yes for a high temperature. Husband asked what the temp reading was and it was also 99.6F. Now both of them decided to investigate so they went back inside and sure enough, a THIRD person was de

I've been coming here for a few years now and I love how attentive the staff is. I had a bad reaction a couple donations ago and the tech with the ponytail ( forgot to get his name) jumped straight to action in a calm and professional manner. They have a high seasonal turnover, like anywhere in Lawrence that employs students, but the veteran staff are amazing at what they do and I always feel safe in their hands.

I've been going here for a little while now. Everyone is always extremely nice, friendly and helpful! They make me feel at ease, and always check on me during the donation process to make sure I'm doing ok. If you're nervous about donating, come here and you won't be nervous anymore

It was not as "scary" as I thought it would be for I have a fear of needles, but I was able to donate and happy I did .

Very rude, and a very gross personality. I wish I had remembered the girls name. I recommend a different place for donation.

I utilize this for $$ for college and it helps for the time being. The younger staff seems to be pretty chill and aware; the older staff is rather questionable and I don't trust the promotions, you never really get them. They say to go through a process to make sure you get it, but you don't get a response if you do reach out to corporate. (about anything) There's two in particular: One tiny teeth long haired man who is the loudest individual in the entire space, for the life of me I cannot figure out why

I've been donating semi-regularly at this CSL plasma location since roughly 2021. They're always speedy quick, Very polite and informative. I want to give a shout out to Jason (group lead) because every time I go there, that dude is always the light of the party. Perhaps the best employee I've ever dealt with at any plasma center, so if you go to the CSL location, make sure you get on with Jason. ?? As for the facility itself, It's clean and I like this one because even when they're pretty busy, they can

I've been going since 2017 and this year (2024) has been the absolute worst with them messing up at least 4 times but I'm the one who gets told I can't come back for at least half the year, that's twice it's happened. The people there don't show any genuine social skills anymore and they clearly don't care. not only do people rely on the money but the people who rely on the plasma, they're getting denied that as well cause you guys aren't as professional anymore. Very disappointing to see.

I've been a donor for a couple years now and have always had a pleasant experience here. Staff is very friendly and caring. I'm generally in and out within an hr! My donation time is less than 30 minutes, drink your water! I use one constant arm (better vein) ?nd have had great sticks everytime.

The center itself is wonderful however corporate greed is at it's finest with the big wigs of CSL. Lowered the donor fees again, its almost to the point everyone is going to stop wasting time to donate dud to the donor fees are not paying enough to take time out of your day to help save life's cuz now we have to get a 3rd job to survive per the inflation and rental prices here and all over the USA. They act like they're not making any profit from selling our liquid gold aka plasma. Gave the center new machi

This is the slowest place in the state of Kansas. Plus you now get less money, the wait is longer. Look at how much they get for that bottle of plasma. It's crazy. All of us donors should come together and protest for more money. 500 bucks a donation is more than fair.

Usually they are pretty good but don't trust the corporate side they promise bonuses that they don't give I've been waiting for my bonus since October 23 and still not here then their post told my wife should get 60 dollars bonus for second visit she didn't get it and they told her it was a mistake in the post and didn't have time to change it and they didn't have the time for her complaints!! Never again I would steer clear! And I see their reply to complaints they want you to call them but that's all I hav

The lawrence center manager Katelyn is disrespectful and doesn't provide resolutions when her staff performs mal practice and is negligent. I donated today and noticed the machine was hooked up to have me donate at the middle tier weight. I am the low weight tier. I notified staff before it went above the 650 ml of plasma. they told me they couldn't unhook me and that I would be compensated at the middle tier this was a lie and not the case. They gave me lowest tier pay. Essentially taking more of my plas

The staff can be cold sometimes but are usually quite friendly my biggest issue is that three times now I've been told my visit should only take 45 minutes and it taken 3-4 hours. Extra time is one thing but to that level is excessive.

Jason was my phlebotomist at the csl Lawrence location. Everytime i come in for a donation he always has the brightest smile and best conversation. I never feel any pain when he does his procedure or clean up. He's a great member of this staff and many people would agree. Can't wait to see where life takes him. Ps. Give this man a raise??

Donated for the first time in over 11yrs and times have really changed. Everyone was so extremely nice. Starting with Cayla who made me feel extremely comfortable getting me signed in and almsot like a friend i could just chit chat with. The Nurse who did my examination was so nice and informative. Keegan who got me set up and was very kind I didn't feel a thing and he made sure I felt comfortable. And Jason who was so funny and friendly who finished me up. This was such a great experience compared to what

I'm from Topeka and I will drive to Lawrence to donate because the staff there is just amazing. Even when they're busy, they aren't even busy lol. Want to give a shout out to Jason for being the best phlebotomist, always a great conversationist and definitely one of the reasons why my family comes from Topeka to Lawrence to donate.

So I am living in a hotel and and struggling to make ends meet at the moment! This place allowed me to donate 1 time but will not allow me to donate again until I provide a mailing address! I know for a fact that there are at least 15 individuals that go there to donate that use narcotics and are homeless but they are allowed to donate! The fact remains I am not a drug user but I'm stuck without a mailing address and not allowed to donate. These people at CSL don't really care about their community like the

Phenomenal experience! Lots of nice people, clean environment, no delays at all. The girl with the red hair kept me entertained the whole time (very funny), and I was informed record donation time is 26 minutes. Aiming to beat that on my next visit!

Friendly staff and getting in and out from donations fast

I've made well over 100 donations in the last (roughly) 18+ months. Easiest way to make a few extra bucks per week! There's only been one time I got ?stuck? incorrectly which caused me to bruise and got deferred for a week or so. Human error, no biggie. They didn't do it on purpose and were extremely apologetic. I really wish they were in JoCo so I didn't have to drive 30 miles, but then again I wouldn't get to see my friends!

CSL IN LAWRENCE, KS PROVIDED ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE BEST, EASIEST AND QUICK EXPERIENCES I HAVE HAD. THEY WERE VERY QUICK YET THOROUGH DURING THE NEW DONOR SCREENING PROCESS, THEY ALL COMMUNICATED AND WORKED TOGETHER FLAWLESSLY, & THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TOOK TO ANSWER THE HEALTH QUESTIONS, GET SCREENED TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN DONATE, & GET IN THERE AND GET HOOKED JP AND GIVE THE DONATION WAS ALL DONE IN HALF THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES AT GIFOLS, OR CSL IN TOPEKA, OR OCTAPHARMA, OR ANYONE ELSE. EVERYTHING FLOWS S

Very clean, friendly competent staff, easy process, and they're quick. Professional and prompt. The parking lot is squirrelly but it's a good center for sure. Great set up.

Very kind and helpful through whole process. Great staff.

The staff is super friendly, attentive, and professional. An easy way to earn some quick decent cash, while helping out your fellow humans. Go when they first open on Saturday or Sunday for short wait lines.

Their app allows me to bring up info and change the password of the previous telephone number holder and to have this changed is impossible according to the numerous people I've waisted my time with on the numerous numerous numbers I've called. They can't protect your info and can't change it so this is a PSA. Now you know.

Not gonna lie, medically speaking, this place is kind of sketchy. The staff is all college students, I've seen them cleaning blood on the floor, dropping liters of plasma (if you were curious, the bottles just bounce), last time I went in the needle slipped from my vein during return and started pumping blood into my skin. Luckily they attended to it quickly and I had no complications or pain from it, not even a bruise. The staff are ubiquitously quiet, fast-talking and hard to understand (maybe it's the pl

I've been donating for quite some time and have never had a bad experience with the staff. They are very friendly and professional. At times, the wait can be a bit long but that is to be expected. There are opportune days and times to donate that typically ensure you're not waiting for an elongated period of time. Overall, I think the place deserves more than what it's being rated. I always get paid and have never had a problem with being credited.

Staff ALWAYS has a long line of people waiting to be screened!!! Barely have enough people to make the long process quicker. Even tho there are people waiting around during a pandemic close to each other. There are some staff just standing & talking no acting to make the wait any better. Some of the staff I've experienced in the screening booths are incredibly rude! Would not recommend this particular donor place if you're wanting to be treated with decency! Period.

Pretty good. Clean place. Nice staff. Sometimes they can be a long wait if it's busy

I called on the phone a few hours before coming. I got to the center at 5:30. Stood there at least 30 min. Then they said we have a cut off time we can't take you. Ok whatever so I come back the next day which happens to be a sat. also I live 45 min away. I get there at 1:30 .The lady said my mail is not acceptable . So I wait for my husband to turn around . I dig at the bottom of the car find something bring it back in. They tell me to come in tomorrow . It's to late to accept new people. Very rude and fru

Jason is one of the best employees I have met while donating. He cares about his patients and puts their well being first. Definetely coming back to this location more.

everyone there was very kind and made the process so smooth! as a first time doner i was sooo nervous but Debbie walked me through everything and made it a lot less stressful. i was stressed for the actual donating part because i?ve been told my whole life that i have tiny veins, but Jason found mine right away and got the process started fast! 10/10 would recommend, infact, i?m going back there today!

There are only a few workers here that have a positive attitude and are helpful. As of the rest they talk about people right then and there and show their attitude...I come all the time and luckily this was my last...came in before 3 people and was done before all 3 and still was pulled last(waited a good 20 min)...sanitize wise this place can def use some work. Will not be back! Honestly the best way to get your money out of this place is to refer, get coupons online/through the app and by only going when

All im saying is be prepared to sit with a needle in your arm for an hour after being done. Employees move at their own pace and have zero sense of urgency of making experience quick and easy. Employees just stand and look around and will even see you are done and still do nothing about it. Managers need to help out if its busy and not just stand there like they actually run something.

My donation experience the other day was about what was expected I had to wait but that I'd explained at the front desk. Once I got to a booth I was in in out super fast even though it was busy. Everyone was nice and though I did get nousouse out on the floor they help me and made me feel better. And I was done with my donation withing 2-4 hours wich was the average wait time.

Understaffed. Floor staff is usually rude. Reception ok Screening takes 5-60 mins Waiting to be stuck is another 5-30 mins Then the draws are 45 mins to an hr Then you can wait to be unhooked for an hour like me.

If I were only reviewing this center based on their employees it would be a five but unfortunately this review is based on their refer a friend program. Everything stated in the program is a total sham. It clearly states on the CSL Plasma app that you can refer a friend by entering their phone number and the center will do the rest and that I can make up to $150 per referral and the new donors can make up to $100 and it states that the payout is done within 24 hours of the new donors donation. Unfortunatel

This place is a really good place to donate plasma. You can get in and out within 1 to 1 1/2 hours of interning the building depending on how fast you can donate the plasma. Very fast and friendly ppl working there

The staff at CSL plasma are some of the best people I've known. I've been a long term donor at The Lawrence center since the first week they opened.

I've never had issues here. Everyone is nice and I haven't ever had a problem donating. Only thing negative I'd have to say is they can be a little under staffed at times which increases wait time but nothing that makes me not wanna go here. Everyone seems to try their hardest and do the best they can.

I had covid in November. I knew there was a high need for patients that tested positive so I spent three hours giving information and waiting the first time to donate. I was not able to donate as he poked me several times and a huge bruise developed. He pulled the needle out and told me to leave and come back in a few days. No explanation. No protocol. No expectation on how my arm would bruise halfway up my body. I came back a week later. Waited an hour to get screened. Got screened and had to meet with the

Earlier this afternoon my friend and I went in because she wanted to donate plasma. This was her first time so I went as support. From the moment we walked in we were both very displeased. There was nobody at the front desk, we were standing there fro 5 minutes before someone stopped what they were doing to help us. My friend finally got the paperwork needed and we went and sat down. Once she was don't filling out the paper work they took her back into a room where she watched a video. After about 45 minute

Don't know why this place has so many negative reviews, my experience here was quite pleasant. I havent donated in a couple of years so i had to do the intake all over again, which takes about 3 hours but i knew how long it would take. The staff couldn't be nicer, the facility is clean and efficient. Will definitely be returning

Cool place, plasma techs are helpful, especially this one guy Elijah. He's really chill and kind and really careful with the needle.

Ashley C at the Lawrence ks office is unprofessional and the other management are too. The staff need to get out there phones and help people out I sat on hold for hour and half

Probably the best CSL I've been to, but that's not saying a lot. The staff are at least fairly organized but there are never enough people on staff. Most everyone is at least friendly and personable.this is much better than the one in KCMO. I HAVE been turned away many times for having a pulse 1-4 points above passing, which doesn't account for anything like heat, standing for long lines etc. But rules are rules, I suppose. I was disrespected and insulted on 7/16/2021 by one of thier nurses. The issue has

Shady business that screws over people by nickel and dimming them. People don't donate for fun they donate because life is hard and they need the money. CSLs corporate overlords have made it harder for working people to maximize what they can make. It's 100% greed motivate and they should be ashamed of what they're doing. Don't market yourself as saving lives when you don't care about the people actually bleeding to do it.

Always have to wait a long time to get unhooked. The staff went and unhooked multiple people that got done after me until one of them told him I was done first, so he came to unhook me. I'm always respectful even though this happens to me every time. So, this time I called him out on it and said they act like they are scared to unhook me. He got an attitude and said it must be a conspiracy. Conspiracy of what? It's not like I said they don't unhook me because I'm black. They just act like they are scared to

Wish I could give this place a zero. I have been waiting since open to get stuck by a needled and it is now 9:30am. Unbelievable. Also good luck not being stuck in the right vein. They are incompetent of their jobs. Just get a UV vein light if you can't even find it by the feeling.

Lot of crybabies in these reviews whining about having to wait for a while. Yes, the initial donation takes a while with everything they have to do to get you set up. They're severely understaffed, I've rarely seen the crew not frantically busy, but they do a good job. There is one guy there, one of the team leads, who has managed to screw up the stick every damn time. Always messes up the flow and leaves a bruise and he just won't listen. He's done that twice to me, if I ever see him coming again I'll (re

This place is awesome! I have always been compensated for my time immediately and never felt any pain. Mike is awesome and if you have any problems with your first stick they are all happy to help immediately. Can be slow at times but that's as expected.

slowest medical staff ever.. considering how badly meds are needed you would think they would have more then 1 medical staff per day. waiting in line at the DMV is more pleasurable than this. over all friendly staff. they just could care less about getting things done in a timely manner.

Poorly trained staff, that appear to have positions they are not qualified for. Background, I have been in the medical field in multiple capacities for many years. I came to CSL to help out with a friend on a Friday when we had some time. took about 3 hours to get to the room. First, you have to sign in and read their book, then if you can find an employee (they hide around the corner doing nothing) you have to watch a video on the book you read, then you have to meet with an elusive employee so they can

Dont bother wasting your time. They dont value yours and it's not worth the pay. It's not free money when you are there for 2 to 3 hours. The processes are very slow and they fail to communicate when issues arise. If your network is down dont wait for 15 minutes to tell the person donating. Its unprofessional to run around talking when a customer is waiting on you. Daniel deserves praise and is awesome. He's the reason for 2 stars.

You have to be really desperate for money to go through this process and it shows. I was there for three hours and didn't even get in to donate because I have a slightly deformed lymph node which the screener said a physician would have to sign off on to verify that I'm not sick. If I could afford to go to a doctor why would I be selling plasma? It would have been much cooler to find that out after what I was led to believe would be a normal wait time instead of three hours into it. Don't believe the wait t

Super incompetent staff, wont be back again. This buisness preys on low income lawrence, ks residents. Dont come here unless you want a inexperienced teenager fishing around in your arm looking for a vein.

Yes, the first visit takes some time. Once you're in the system as a returning donor, the time is cut in half. However, your visit all depends on their volume. Each time I donate, I'm treated professionally and with courtesy. For the most part, the techs that do the pokes are good and it is very minimal discomfort, if any at all.

Jason is always professional, prompt and courteous. He is always able to find my vein without causing pain and makes it a easy and fast donation time.

How can anyone complain about sitting down and watching tv while getting paid for it? If you don't like to wait in line, then I guess you don't like getting free money. Sure, sometimes they might be understaffed or there might be a big line and maybe some people there are better at poking that needle than others. Still, all you have to do is wait for a while in line, answer some dumb questions, get a little prick on your finger and get paid. Boo hoo. Anyone who wants to complain about this one in lawrence h

If you're a gay male, don't waste your time. They put me through three rounds of questioning, knowing they weren't going to let me donate. Not only was I discriminated against, my time was wasted.

This is a corporation profiting from the extraction of human bodily fluid. The policies are set up in a rigid, unaccommodating way. I sometimes experience anxiety when having my blood pressure and health vitals taken, but they have a strict rule that you can only have your pulse taken twice in one day, and they are not very friendly about it. If you fail, you must leave, even if you are 1 donation away from the bonus reward. The customer service is not very good for a place where you are DONATING to SAVE LI

im a first time donator and yes the wait time to get everything done was long due to the understaffing but they were friendly and everything got done. i was able to donate and was given the credit i was promised. the staff was professional even after running around all day long. im definitely bringing a jacket next time though.

Got here today at 7am it's now 824 and i still haven't been stuck. This is the slowest I've ever seen it here in 25 years. I do t understand why the "managers" that are qualified to stick don't come help stick when it's like this.

This place is horrible, everytime I come I get sent to medical or postponed for some reason. I drive 45 min to get to the one nearest one and either have to wait for ever because I have to be seen or get turned down. I'm very clearly not a drug user and there are ppl in here all the time practically eating their face off but sure, send me to medical. I'll be going somewhere else. For a place that sends out mailers all the time asking you to come back or refer someone they make it awfully hard.??????

Everyone there is helpful and welcoming, which makes for a more pleasant experience. Jason is hands down my favorite, he's friendly , attentive and knowledgeable.

They have low standards here and don't change gloves in between people, but pretty much "handle" people with dirty gloves. I was told it's not policy to change gloves unless they're visually dirty -- but I'm sure they can be dirty but this isn't seen. They also don't clean the chairs after someone leaves, as most donor centers do. It's obvious they want money from plasma donations but they don't think enough of donors to do this in a sanitary way. I will add they get more money from plasma donations tha

Been donating for a few months and the staff here is very unprofessional. I'm not sure if it's actual or weaponized incompetence but they seem more interested in being ?pick me? than sticking the vein correctly. If I wanted to get blown out like that I'd go back to the lot lizard life

I've had a few problems with here, but mostly within the last 4 months. This is in regards to the staffing and not caring about the donors. This only applies to a couple of workers. Mostly it's an attitude issue. As for being deferred, it happened once or twice. The most recent one was due to someone who couldn't stick well. My last qualm is a corporate thing. Because I took a break that was longer than a month from donating, I lost over 2 (close to 3) years worth of points that I was saving for an e

Never have a problem here. Staff is fun to talk to and know what they are doing. It can be busy at times but hey, for $30 an hour? Can't complain.

Wow! What can I say about this place. Never have I felt so at home having a needle stuck in me, just like the way mom used to do it. Lisi is by far my favorite employee there, his jokes put me at ease. What a guy.

This is a great place to donate. I donated here in college, and then recently started back up again in September. Now I go twice a week. The staff is always super friendly and they know me by name. Great experience there every time. Couldn't recommend this location enough!

The only reason I am giving this as high a review as I am is because of the great staff here, if it weren't for them this would be a 2 or even 1 star review. This company doesn't value an individuals time at all. I came in to donate and unfortunately had to be turned away for being too low in iron and protein levels, after waiting for 3 hours I might add, but that was not the issue. I knew going in that I could very well be turned away for a miriad of reasons, but I did NOT sign up for wasting my time all o

Go early, or expect the procedure to take 90+ minutes (provided you do not have to go through the "new donor" intake). Good compensation, friendly staff that remember you by name. All things considered a good way to set aside some extra cash if you are in a pinch.

Watch out for the bait and switch. Was promised $50 dollars for my donation today, once I was finished donating was told I would only receive $20. Discussed issue with manager and was only credited $10. All and all it took took up three hours of my time which I would have avoided had the staff told that I was getting only $20 instead of $50. Very unprofessional and poorly trained staff. Will not be returning or donating plasma again for fear of being scammed again.

Perfect way to make some fast cash if your ok with needles. The experience is not that much difference than donating blood. They stick you, you get to watch a movie while your donating and once your done they make sure your ok and they do seem to care about you. But I know that if your reading this you probably have never donated before so I'll break down your experience. 1st visit takes the longest so have a free day or go in early. Make sure you have proof of a social security number and a valid form of I

I had a great experience with the Lawrence KS location. I read a lot of bad reviews and didn't experience that at all. Staff was on top of taking care of people. I was treated with respect from the time I walked in tell out. Going back to only that location.

Important! I have a service dog, and this can make this a little difficult however; staff made this as smooth of a process as ever. I am greatly appreciative of staff and how they handled everything today! Would highly recommend to anyone to donate here!

First off, when my initial stuck was done, the employee (Samuel) failed to remember to hook the hoses to the machine first, so my blood went everywhere. Secondly, when I told him the needlestick hurt, he told me it "wasn't that bad". I don't think he gets to decide if something hurts soneome or not. Third, because of his negligence, I nearly passed out during the donation process- my body went stiff and cold, and I couldn't see. I will not be returning to this establishment if this is the status quo. Ridicu
