I had an excellent experience at CSL Plasma! The entire staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Everyone was eager to assist and took the time to explain each step clearly, which really helped put me at ease. I especially want to highlight Nathaniel Brown-he literally went above and beyond. His professionalism, patience, and upbeat attitude stood out, and he truly made the experience smooth and even enjoyable. If you're considering donating, I highl
Almost everyone here is nice and friendly but there's always one out the bunch. One bad apple will make or break the entire experience. Laura and her attitude is the worst. Very crass. She doesn't treat you with care and attentiveness. She missed after I asked if she found my vein and got upset as if it was my fault, on another occasion she took me off the machine carelessly and was very rough, making the takedown messy. I've donated plenty of times and never had many issues that weren't met with a viable s
I'm a new doner . Went for my 3rd visit today. Just to find out they cut my donation by $10 . Because they changed the donation amount. It stated I had 30 days to complete my donation. They should honor pricing from when you started your donations. That is not a way to get people to come back .
I been donating for years, I go when I have free time over the years I've noticed the terrible reviews and terrible staff continue to get worse and worse, I came in did my questions, had everything checked then was told I needed to see medical to get height waited about 30-45 minutes to get height, then proceeded to medical unsure what I seen medical for as they just asked if I give consent to donate I did, then had me sign, asked nurse if I could get a pass to skip the second line as it was backed to the s
People are saying it's clean. You don't know what you're talking about. The vital stations, bathrooms and other areas are beyond unexceptable. Staff is never on the same page with things. They argue and fight with each other. A few are rude. They yell and holler nonsense loudly across the room to each other while you're donating, as if it can be stressful enough donating. Currently 10AM on 2/18/25 employees are being separated by their own security for fighting. I hate this place
Consistently when I come there's 2 people screening at 5pm for a huge line. Maybe we can double this to keep the line moving and make this more cost effective. Rasheed is the best though.
Giving one star because so much has changed, there wait times are longer then ever now, was told when they get new machines it would cut down wait times and it has only extended wait time more, they also went down on the amount you can get for your donations for everyone, they took away the rewards program and promised to bring something in place of it and it's has been months, they no longer give you saline back either which should make processes shorter and they don't give you Powerade drinks and club cra
It's pretty chill there for the most part once in a while you get some crabby Big mouth trouble makers in line just once in a while though. But my favorite reason for being there is for the nurse Shawna got it goin on onna I wish I could make her my lady!!!
Just donated for the first time, today(1-29-2025). I was a lil nervous going in, because i read dozens of bad reviews, about other donation centers, and I'm uncomfortable about needles. However, It turned out to be a great experience. Jabari, Tylor, Daniel, and Slim were, just, some of the people that i can remember, by name. There were many others, who also did a great job, so I'll be writing another review after my next visit, to include them by name, as well. I could see a high level of professionalism b
I wouldn't give it 1 star but it won't let me post if you don't but any ways and thay make it hard to comment you don't want to go through it but enough is enough it's pretty sad that you go one day and there temperature gage is wrong but then you go back and the same temp gage is wrong again and I had them take my temp again with In 2 minutes and it went from 99.6 to 98.2 on another gage but they deferred me because of their junk machines if you're thinking of donating I would think look into some where el
After a rough 1st attempts a while back, I tried again because this is the closest donation center to my house, and I don't drive die to medical conditions. I'm glad I did, because the staff is great. Everyone is very friendly and I never even feel when they stick me... and I HATE needles. Definitely recommend.
Ms.Lora is the only one that rushes and pokes to far! Pls don't go to her, Everyone else is very good but me personally I think Izzy is the best he pokes one time and I'm good don't even feel it!
If you decide to come to this location, they cut the beds in half to around 12 so expect your visit to last at least 3 hours and that's if you don't arrive during lunchtime. Not ideal to double the visit time and cut the beds but give the same donation fee.
The staff at Lincoln Park CSL are THEE best, they always have been. The phlebs Cierra, Izzy, Lindsey, Shawna, Allie, and Ginine (i know I'm forgetting names I'm sorry) are the best out of all plasma centers. I had to write this to let anyone know that when they donate, especially at the LP center, they treat u like family and take care of you. If you feel unwell they will make u feel better. They greet familiar faces, and make you feel welcome from door to donor floor!
Everyone is Polite and Great,Larry makes you feel very Welcome when He takes my Vitals.. Great Staff..
Im giving 3 stars because this place been going down hill. Ive been donating here for 6 years and the pay keeps get shorter while the wait times get longer. We never had to wait this long to donate. Some of these new workers are lazy. I miss the old workers.
I do go here but my bf does and they always do an amazing job i walked in a few times and can see and tell how clean they keep it! I don't know about the staff but the gards that are always there are very nice!
Spent over two hours in line just to finally get a bed to donate and they skip me and stick 4 people that sat after me. Half the staff was dickin around and not doing anything. No to mention half the beds were empty. Go somewhere else.
A girl was rude and told me I couldn't donate because I lived with my brother and because I live with my brother I said homeless as in I don't own the house. So I was denied for being homeless . People give plasma because they are having money issues and you denied them when they need it most
I feel like the staff isn't fully being trained properly. Months ago I broke my figure so I called to see if I could donate and I was told I couldn't. When my finger was better I was by one of the ladies in charge in the back that I could have. Which was a big bummer because my daughter's birthday was coming up and money was super tight. Fast forward six months and someone said they needed money. So I told them about CSL. They went to donate and the person at their donation place said I could send a refer
Rude people!! They let homeless people coming smelling like garbage but when I show up to get money to fix our family shower they tell me they can't let me because of smell!! This places sucks and she wasn't even nice about anything! This place sucks never go there!!!
I love this place I just started donating like maybe 2 months ago. Everytime come here it's clean. The staff is very nice, positive and in a good mood. They play good music we laugh joke. The atmosphere is top-tier!
This place is not only clean but also staffs the right people. Line looks long sometimes which can be discouraging but they zoom us through. Lindsey and Jesse are fabulous and the guy who did vitals today on me was kind. Letting corporate know I appreciate the donor lapse bonus as you never know what people are going through or how much they need it. Thank you Lindsey for your stellar bedside manner and ability to cruise through so many patients with care and kindness. Appreciate all of you for what you do!
I normally go to the one in Saginaw but I'm home from college so I tried this one out and waited in a longer line (not the issue) I get there and the guy takes my blood pressure and it was a 48. 2 to low and normally when you miss it they give you a chance to retest and get it up, nope not this time guy just skips over it. Sends me to medical I ask medical why I didn't get the retest and he has no clue says I should?ve gotten it but didn't. Says they can try to get my visit deleted and have me wait back in
Can't even become a customer of theirs. I have tried in excess of a dozen times and are always turned away, either due to lack of training, lack of people, or a lack of caring. I have left work early twice now to be turned away. Today I called ahead and verified that as long as I was there before 5, I should be able to be taken in. I left work early and arrived at 4:50 and was not greeted until 15 minutes later and given the biggest smirk and told that last new donor was at 5. Terrible.
This center is great when I go which is twice a week. Quick scan check-in, friendly staff, and free bottled water. I have been coming here for the last 4 years. I have been add to the platinum list
The staff was professional. The tech. Who put the needle in my arm left extensive bruising. Why didn't she use a vein finder? Since I was new
don't waste your time going here, they will keep you waiting while there are plenty of other places to be seated, it's the three time I've gone there and walked out due the employees doing their job, will not be doing any more business with any plasma company
Amazing staff!!!!!!! I love the nurse I cannot remember her name but she is the SWEETEST lady! I love her & everybody is very welcoming & super nice! Thank you for helping us & helping others ????
Much better experience. I attempted to go to OctaPlasma yesterday with a new donor appointment and had a terrible experience. CSL was a much better experience and a very clean facility. Sherrie was very nice and bubbly and made me feel very comfortable. Would definitely recommend coming here instead.
So I've been coming to this location for 2 years & I have to say, I'd never donate anywhere else! I absolutely love the staff first & foremost! They're very attentive, always quick to get you in & out & are always super friendly! Second, I love CSL in general because every one I've been to, has always been easy going & have never had an issue! (But my heart belongs to the L.P location)??????????
The experience was amazing til I got in the back and all you hear is cussing and screaming & shouting across the room from the staff to one another talking about partying and getting drunk, couldn't even enjoy my visit and hear my videos I was watching cause they employees were so rude with the yelling. Most definitely will never come back to this location again I came in Saturday
They suck. Lines are too long and you have to stand in line more than an hour sometimes. No where to sit while waiting and if you have one little bruise they send you to see the nurse. Nurses are not very friendly and you have to wait for forever when you're done for them to come and unhook you so you can leave!!!
This place has discriminatory policies that they implement on specific people. First, let me start by saying that I have severe alopecia. My hair is completely gone. As a result I wear natural looking wigs for self confidence reasons. My favorite type to wear are the ones with the head bands attached. I went in for the first time to donate plasma and during registration I had to take a photo for future identification purposes. Simple right? Wrong! I was told my head band was obstructing my face and I had
Place is a joke. Had a little bruise that they put on me because they aren't professional and blew out a vien. I see the nurse and the guy is rude af so I got rude back now I'm deferred? All because I wouldn't let him talk to me like I was less than a human being. Most staff assume your on drugs. And all they talk about Is partying.
You guys are a joke! Soooo disorganized and unprofessional. The guy who checked me in complained the whole time about broken equipment and lazy employees. Went through all questions and went and ate to find out im not accepted because i take plavix. Why wasn't this one of the first questions? Why did i have to wait two hours to find this out. The lady spent 15 mins researching plavix. Shouldn't she know this info since she works there? Ugh what a terrible experience!
First time here. Was told it would take about 2 hours this time. Got here at 1:00pm. It is now 4:30. Haven't even seen medical yet. ??. I'm thinking I might just say screw it and maybe find a different place. Plus it is freezing ?? in here!! And even though I ate before coming, it's taking so freakin long I'm hungry now. Seriously getting very aggravated!! ?? *edit*. Well, I finally got done and home by 8 o'clock. There was a bit of a mixup and misunderstanding, but it was handled well and everybody was
Came in today and went through the whole process only to get to medical and was denied because I get s vivitrol shot every month as a safety net for alcohol. I've been getting it for a year now. She told me I had to get a letter stating I get vivitrol f I r alcohol not opioid. Trying to tell me it's not given for alcohol. I'll never return here again.
The staff do will do whatever it takes to send people home, one guy fell asleep as he was checking vitals and they are super rude when you ask questions, sometimes the process waiting to be unhooked and wrapped up takes longer than the actual donation process, this place is super disorganized and the medical team john is a creep seen people also report him and nothing get done, seen alot of people leave and never come back because of how poor the service is here, going to biolife in Livonia heard better thi
The Staff are nice here at this location.I'm afraid of needles but I let Korey draw me and it went good! I don't even feel the needle when he pokes me. I always ask for him because it always goes well
I have been coming to this place on and off for years. This time I came back because the bonus being offered was worth going to. I waited in line patiently as always and as soon as I get to the vitals desk, I'm instructed to go to medical. Medical didn't even need anything?.he didn't need to evaluate me or anything, he clicked a button and said I'm good to go back to vitals. I walked back over to vitals and she sent me to the back of the line. I told her what the nurse said and she still said I have to wai
So this is a hit or a miss. First time I came here. The employee's where nice. ROSE I like her. She does a wonderful job. And I honestly wish I have her. She is the best from the others.. I don't like the other girl I felt uncomfortable.. and she did it way to hard when she put the niddle in.. I was really upset about it.. but I only do it because I really need money.. I really wish they had rose. She is so Professional.. it didn't hurt when she put the niddle. So if you ever want to ask. Ask for rose.
I love the staff. I despise the other donors. I know you guys can't do anything about them. But they ain't got no manners ! ??
Would be a 5 star rating but my last visit I got falsely accused of leaving the building and I couldn't get my spot in line back. I had 13 ppl in front of me. Do better
I had a false positive happen, just after my second donation.. had to wait a month just to find out it was false and be able to donate again.. Just to go as soon as im able to donate again, i go in and only get $30. Because i was not considered a new donor anymore. I'm never coming back there again.. Very unprofessional.. Not to mention, i was told to sit and wait for a physical.. waited 30 minutes just to find out I wasn't even in need of a one! I could have been done donating at that point.. SMH
Longest wait time ever!! Every time I go it ends up taking 3 hours. I get the first time taking a while but every time is almost not worth it. On the other hand, the staff is very friendly and the facility is clean all the time. Hopefully they can work on scheduling and fixing the long backups or I will not be returning in the future. Sad, like I said. Love the staff and facility just don't have 3 hours every time.
It's clean. The staff acts bored and like they don't want to be there. Move slow which is aggravating because I have to go between jobs and am on a time limit. Not very friendly. Don't make you feel comfortable or at ease. A couple of the girls I saw across the room seemed nice.
Everyone that works here has been very friendly and nice. I've never had a problem here, everything usually goes smoothly.
I love coming to this location. The staff is always friendly and I appreciate the variety of snacks and drinks. One phlebotomist stands out among the rest. Steve M. is always smiling and in a good mood. I notice him check on every donor. Soft touch when setting up the blood draw and checks repeatedly for comfort. I only request Steve because I always feel like I am in good hands.
Too many screw ups, staff pays half minded attention to whats going on. Either on their phone with their earbuds in talking, conversations while getting stuck which has lead to being stuck multiple times. Ive had a nice talk here and there but id rather them be diligent at work than nice to me considering the place of business. If it wasnt down the street, i wouldnt come. Time/money/staff all otherwise are below average.
Lincoln Park CSL staff are great. Thank you to all the staff for making it a pleasant experience! Today I had Larry check me in and Corey was my sticker!
First time donating today? was a bit skeptical based on reviews and the fact that I've never donated before, but I have absolutely no complaints. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Be prepared to be there a while (at least for your first visit), but the whole process was simple and I will definitely be donating again.
Waiting times have become alot longer recently when staffing appears to be shorthanded with familiar faces no longer around as it was usually was 70-90 minutes in and out all year and now Its over 2 hours & last Friday It was 3 hours total taking an hour through double lines to get to medical screening then an hour before getting injected on the bed. Also we always could scan our app QR code when arriving same as Kiosk is done to mark our arrival time but now the scan is done when starting medical which eli
that place is so freaking nasty The girls in there have no clue what the hell they're doing My advice would not do it unless you feel like catching something My buddy did stay away not clean at all
No thank you to a bunch of creeps locking you up and not letting you leave, even after several requests to be released within 20 min of needle poke. Do not give them one ounce of your existence, it's not worth any amount of money. ????
I now go to Lincoln Park twice a week and usually have no problems with my visits. I had a couple rough times early on when I started donating but changed my diet and increased my water 24 hours before & now get through my visit faster. They move the check in line along when it gets busy by adding extra booths and the Phlebotomists sticking you are pro's and friendly and keep their attention on you until your cycle ends mostly also from what others I've met tell me this facility is the best one as well
Staff here is a joke! Lazy semi workers that laugh and talk while lines get longer. The best time to donate is the last hour of the day when they hurry up to get people processed and out shortly after closing time. Sad place!
I don't understand all of the bad reviews for this location. I've been a regular donor at this location for years. I have no complaints, only positive remarks. Nancy is always so positive and delightful to talk to. Her wonderful mood puts me in a great mood also!
I've been coming here for 3 years now, a lot of employees have come and gone but there is one person who's been consistent. Whenever I come in I always request Ciera Davis! She's so awesome! Professional, friendly and respectful!
I've Been here since opening 7am, Due to there computer system, it won't allow my zip code,,it's 9:15am...still waiting for the tech ticket ????
I would give negative if I could Used to be a good place to go but now no one answered the phone and they don't seem to care about the people that are there to help others. That is why I have quit going. They don't seem to care if they blow your veins out or not
Started going to lincoln park CSL about 6 years ago as a way to have guilt free spending money. Over the years I have seen a lot of different staff at this location, but recently they have been incredible. The staff is super friendly and professional. Guys like Marlon, who has great energy and personality, to Jordyn who is friendly to everyone, and stearn on the rules. Great staff all around, and i would highly recommend.
There are a very few good employees that are polite, & friendly. Most for the majority they are rude & spend more time focused on themselves or conversation with other employees, or the drama going on within the staff. For the fact that you are putting needles in people's arms you would think their well being should be your #1 priority. Not ignoring them when they need your help. It's not a fast food job.
This place is ABSOLUTELY one of the WORST GOD AWFUL places to go donate. The staff are the rudest and unequivocally laziest employees I have EVER seen, not to mention the horrific way the stand around purposely to MAKE YOU WALK OUT. Yes..they do this purposely as I was told by an ex employee that had to quit because of the bullying she was suffering at the hands of the black female employees, she was obviously a white woman. Thi? entire staff needs to be fired ESPECIALLY the managers the encourage and allow th
Been trying to call all morning do not answer their phone bad business
update** The manger reached out to me and they have worked on the new doner experience. The place is running much smoother now. They recently staffed up due to the high volume of new doners too. 2.3.2022 No guidance for new doners when they walk in. It was very difficult to track down a staff member to assist with setting up a profile and help complete history. There were 3 of us "new comers" that were lost. Review solely based on experience of waiting 60 mins before being helped and seen. Fix that experie
Izzy is amazing funny I just love the vibe ???? I love I can't feel the needle going in I highly recommend him and this location
Absolutely love the service there. Fast and comfortable. Love sala she made my fear of needles feel like I didn't even have a fear. Ally sanitized my area and was so nice. I had a great experience!
Love the staff amazing people they really know how to work together as a team ..under pressure they Ace it !!! Good job y'all Your buddy Karie mason mason Karie .!!!
I extremely enjoy coming to CSL. Everyone is so great when i come through. Jordyn is very nice and sweet and she takes her job seriously. When im sitting and waiting she comes and gets me done. Shes great! And Marlon helped me how to write this review lol
Horrible location, made online appointment for THIS location?. Show up and am told they don't accept online or app appointments?.EVER. Why does the company allow you to waste your time and do so? I have personally witnessed people being turned away due to staff not wanting to assist new clients.
I like this CSL location. I have never observed the place being filthy like other reviews said. They always have at least one person on the floor cleaning and setting up stations for the next donor. I don't view the staff as unprofessional. Their candor and conversation between each other and patients always have put me at ease. Yes, some days you'll wait in line for a while to donate but bring a book or chat with someone in line and it isn't that bad. I give this location 5 stars because of their ability t
Ms. Emily is extremely exceptional in her field. She's very personable as as as professional.. Always. Their whole staff is as equally capable as well. Id give them 10 stars if it were allowed.
I'm sharing this today because I've tried calling the past two days waiting for someone too answer for over 10 minutes and giving up, so I have been donating for about 5 years, and the customer service has gotten worse and lately dropped drastically.I went yesterday morning about 7:30 expecting too get done quickly since its slow but, the kiosk's were freezing up already because employees can't take a minute too reboot them, then I get seated too donate finally and employees are now forced too stay in they'
I love this place! Highly recommended! All of the staff members are super cool and friendly! The place is very clean and you constantly see the employees cleaning which is really nice. ?? Today Steven drew my blood/plasma and always does a great job ?? Thank you!!
Marlon is the best he's really caring andthe rest of the staff as well. They get you in quickly and check on you constantly and are so polite and tell you to have a great day. I love coming here.
They lied to me and turned me away... I am insulin dependant, my endo, and my pcp, BOTH said I can donate, my a1c is 6.5, i even told them this, however, csl said insulin dependency permanently defers me, yet I have had several insulin dependant folks tell me they donate as well, so....
Was my first time donating! Everything went smooth. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. Place was very clean and that's a big plus!! 2years later! Place is still clean. All the workers are friendly. I only allow Steve to stick me if he's there, Sala is great too. They are both wonderful! Thank you!
The way they treated patient's and especially myself today was totally unacceptable. It was my first time there and had more of a prison vibe than a medical facility (I work at an outpatient surgery center so I know OSHA standards and how to actually be polite). They were rude from beginning to end, loud with private medical information, and looked completely annoyed to have to be at work. Was completely disgusted. Surely there are unemployed people who would love to take their place as polite, paid medical
I started out donating at this location about 7 yrs ago Staff was always helpful as well as Ms Barb the nurse there. They all knew me by my name. I moved to Texas 4 yrs ago and have been donating there since I moved there. I'm in town in Lincoln park and am being allowed to donate while here for 2 weeks. That's awesome... that's a 5 star for sure. Thank you all so much.
I didn't get to receive the full experience but there was a phlebotomist who was just the most helpful and warming soul after. Marlon was So sweet and caring, and I will be coming back just to feel his gracious spirit again. Definitely will be back.
I had to give at least a star to make a comment because they don't even deserve one star they deserve none! Someone needs to go and check this place out I know someone who go there and both was denied several occasions their bonus days because protein being low, any other time was fine until that bonus day and out of nowhere protein was low not only one person I know but two! Also I heard this place is very dirty I heard one time someone asked to wipe down seats after being used and they got mad! Someone he
One star for the place having maybe one good person there a day. The majority of workers sit and just talk. Patients are far from priority to these people and it's frustrating having to deal with poor service and obviously poor management. Many times I can recall having to be re stuck even by people with years of experience because they weren't paying attention during the sticking process and just blabbing off to co workers. Rather be broke and homeless then to have to go back and sit 3 hours for $50-60 whe
Shanna was outstanding! Great customer service and had no feeling to the poke! Great experience for my 20th time!
They are so slow sometimes. You will see workers standing around doing nothing when there are people to be hooked up and unhooked. I feel like there are times when they don't even care. They know they are the only plasma place Downriver and this is why people continue to put up with it. 2 stars because at least they pay decently.
There are longer wait times when they're busy, but nothing too bad. I've found the staff to be very pleasant and friendly for the most part. Been coming here for six months and haven't had any "sticking" issues. Always easy peasy. Maybe the problem some reviewers have is with inadequate veins, because I have small veins and it's never an issue. I'm usually in and out in less than two hours total. Also don't know when or what many of these reviewers are seeing, but it's always been clean and well maintained
Devin m has great customer care helped 6 people at once including me great job man. I'm here today a ladie seized and Tiffany saw her doing so and she instantly brought it to attention the staff took care of the donor instantly and professionally glad to see the familial energy good job Tiffany an Devin .
Friendly ppl normally pretty fast *What's with the protein checks every 3-5 months? If random why do I feel targeted? I've done more protein level checks in 1 yr then in the whole like 5-6 yrs I've been going here...? One argument with medical n ur a target? Tf?
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
