Manhattan, Kansas 66502
Honestly, I don't ever leave negative reviews but this center is just truly not the best. Nothing against the workers at all. They're great. More of the company itself. They supposedly got new machines to speed up the ?process? but yet it takes 2 hours before you can even get back to the room and start donating. Honestly I don't get it. I've donating here for years and it seems to the same issue over and over again. Something needs to change.
Went there 18 days ago and completed my donation. They gave me someone else?s card. I found this out by trying to activate it and the bank Paysign told me it was already in use. The center told me they did everything correctly and that the money was transferred to me. The facility manager hung up on me three times. The bank they use ?escalated? my concerns. Haven't heard back. Now I can't even return to donate because I hurt someone?s feelings. They stole my body chemicals and then didn't pay me for it.
Went in 3 hours before close and was told they weren't accepting new donors due to how busy it was and told to come in around noon the next day. Fair enough, I understand. Went in at noon the next day, nobody in line to donate, 1 person ahead of me in the new donor line. Was told to take a seat and someone would be with me shortly. Hour goes by and then get told that they're not accepting anymore new donors for the rest of the day????? I came in 7 hours before closing and it's just beyond frustrating.
CSL plasma center 1130 Garden Way Manhattan Ks. Is clean, efficient, and amazing. The staff and employees are impressive, helpful, and professional. They make donating blood plasma a pleasant experience. Your donation helps some people live healthier lives, it could even save a life in an emergency! And you're paid for your time! A win win situation. Visit the CSL plasma center. It's a good place to be. And they do good things for people in need.
Would go zero stars. Managment here is the worst. Get out of your office and help. Ridiculous wait times!!!!!!!! Lost three patrons plus me now just in wait room discussion a d watched them leave. Two hours to get even started on donation machine. Unnacceptable service.
Complete waste of time!!! I donate regularly at the Kansas City location so I am very familiar with CSL and believe strongly in the importance of donating plasma/blood, had never had an issue until today. First time at this location, was pre-screened twice because the first time I was screened under the wrong profile. I get it, mistakes happen?2nd screening was completed normal, so I went to the donate. The KC location does some sort of sample program that I am apparently apart of that this location doesn't
Well this donation was ruff. They lady had a difficult time sticking me which really never happens and then the other girl came and she couldn't get it either. I tried explaining that my vein was pretty much up and down and they kept going to the right so idk. But ended up not donating any plasma at all
Despite all the negative reviews, I don't have any issues at this place. Yes, there is often quite a long wait, procedures, etc., but most of the staff is friendly and helpful. This is my experiences. I have not been there on weekends, but it is often crowded on weekday afternoons.
Quick, easy as long as you do not have high blood pressure.
No new donors,no long lines, still I was told I had to wait a hour because they had one nurse. And they was all in a huddle like they wasn't at work.Talkin about nothing.the worst center ever
Update?3 months later I still have not received my stolen funds and am now being told to fill out a form several associates never told me to fill out and wait another 45 days it's horrible don't waste your time immediately pull your funds off your card.?. I donated 5 or 6 times only to have my money stolen and CSL won't help you cause they don't care once they have your business -Your funds from your pay card will be stolen. Always empty funds from your pay card directly after donating never leave any money
This is a fantastic place to donate plasma. The staff is always friendly, making it a great environment to donate in. I appreciate everyone's hard work, it does not go unnoticed. I have referred people to donate here and will continue to do so!
Absolute epic failure!!!! You people in the office should stop messing around with the flow and a working system. Ever hear of the concept "if it isn't broken don't fix it"? The idea that limiting the amount of donors in beds waiting to be stuck is better than the way it has operated for the last ten years I've donated is completely ridiculous. You have to go to school and major in stupidity in order to be this ignorant. To think that someone got paid to come up with this system is mind blowing. The staff
They were quick and efficient. Didn't take as long as expected.
I've been coming here for over a year now. I've only had issues with one person. Who no longer works there. The rest are amazing and haven't had any other issues. Yes sometimes the wait is long. But they are very good. I dislike Needles and they're very good at keeping me distracted so I don't freak out.
CSL Plasma Manhattan has always been thorough and professional with me. Chris in medical made my physical examination experience fast and easy, and was very professional and courteous. No complaints.
What a lot of people don't seem to understand is that most healthcare-type facilities are usually under-staffed. The donor to staff ratio is usually quite lopsided, sometimes even when CSL is fully staffed, therefore, patience and understanding go a long way. Most of the staff is very friendly and professional. The facility is clean and well maintained. Overall, CSL does a good job and a lot of the experience is a matter of perspective.
Madi, Erin and Coco made it better. ?? Other people made it better too...but I'll wait til I can give Kudos by name. ????
This place chronically is understaffed. Look at the employees, they are exhausted and tired of this place and the inability to properly manage their staff. The new typical wait time is 2hrs before even getting to a bed. At 9 am on a Monday, there were already 20 people sitting waiting to be called back. Nearly 2 hrs later, my number still hasn't been called. Looking in the back I see 2 people sticking. Maybe it's time to start paying your employees more than just McDonald's and treat them right. Liste
Don't go if you don't absolutely need the money. They will waste a lot of your time. They might ?blow? you're vein. They are the only place around and know it. They screwed up my address the first time. Second time went fine. 3rd time they blew my vein, saline and went into the muscle instead of the vein. I've been back up 3 times- 1st time bruise is too big (understandable), second time the nurse didn't give me a blue card so I'd have to wait and go back through after already being there over an hour, 3rd
Giving them one star is being nice. I checked in at the new donor counter and was told to have a sit and they'll be right with me after waiting 30 mins other people showed up and completely skipped me and after waiting over an hour and driving 40 mins they told me they couldn't take anymore donors after being skipped TWICE. Complete waste of time and they could?ve at least made an exception considering they still had an hour before closing time.
I have donated 107 times this will be my last donation to this company. I referred my son in law and because of a technically I don't receive the bonus. Even though I brought him in there and sent the code and referral to him to download the app. I have never felt betrayed by a company in my life. Since April of 2022 I come and donate religiously. When they said I won't get the referral bonus after all the money I made them. They make 1500 per bottle I donated 107 times that 160,500 not saying straight prof
I had my first plasma donation here recently, and seeing all the other reviews here had me worried. It did take some time, about 3.5 hours, but that was from doing first time physicals and other work, not from waiting around or anything like that. The staff were all super friendly and explained the procedures in gray length so I knew what was going to happen. The person who drew my blood also talked to me about random topics and kept me distracted from having an anxiety attack due to the fact that I get ext
They need to do better? They didn't even put ice on it after the took the needle out ..
Literally the most unorganized asinine process I've ever seen. There is no reason for it to be that chaotic. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. They don't pay attention at all to when people arrive- I saw people standing at the desk just waiting between every step because no one had a clue of what steps they needed to take. Someone needs to come up with a system for everyone to follow.
There are a few nice people, but most are complete idiots. I had gotten deferred for a low-protein donation after the fact. I came back today and talked to the Manager Sheri who seemed to have all kinds of trouble understanding what I clearly communicated to her (that I had to give a sample again today). She's always unpleasant and difficult. Then they conducted a protein test, sent me back to the area to get the blood sample done and Sheri was told that they didn't even have the sample tubes that they need
I've donated plasma here off and on for over a decade. Some of the same people work there! There are lots of new faces as well. I haven't met someone that worked there that wasn't friendly. They're very professional and helpful. Depending on what time you donate, and if you're a return donor, you can either be in and out in an hour or 3. For those that are afraid of needles, you can probably get over it?my husband did! The phlebotomists are great?I almost never even feel a stick. Donating plasma does not hu
This place is always understaffed. Most of those they do have staffed are horrible with their bedside manner and have no ability to treat someone sensibly. It's a joke. Maybe you should have mandatory meetings on how they should treat those that come in. Most of the phlebotomist need more training as a whole.
I don't understand why this place has such poor ratings. My husband and I have gone three times now. The place is clean and all the staff has been lovely to us both. The first time took a long time, a few hours, but that's to be expected for the whole starting process. The other two times it's taken an hour and a half at most. That's from the time I enter to the time I leave. Yeah they get busy but the do their best to get everyone through as fast as possible, but in a safe and proper way. I hate needles bu
Their seemed to be a severe short staffing issue. I had to sit in the waiting area for over an hour! The management seems cruel to their employees and the employees are so cold in interaction! I was not first time donating but my first time in Manhattan but after this it will be my last!!! Do not donate there unless you want to feel unsafe and pity the poor staff who work there.
I have been donating at this center for about 15 years. It has steadily become less than pleasant. There are a few people who are friendly and some who are good phlebs, but the wait time is often prohibitive. I only donate if I have 3+ hours to spare as it often takes more than 2 hours to get through. I still try to donate regularly but it is usually a frustrating experience.
I've been coming here twice a week for the past year and a half. I have never had an issue with any staff member. The environment is clean and neat. Carmen, West, and Marcus are the best ones out of all of them, not to say the others suck because they don't they good just these three are the best. The staff is friendly. The bad reviews here are probably not telling the entire story. I recommend CSL Plasma Manhattan to all my coworkers (bout30) and have had about 10 actually come donate. They all love it
They get the job done and I've never really had a waiting problem. I will say that the staff are overall unpleasant people to interact with. With the exception of a couple people on a good day, they all have very poor attitudes and act like they hate their job. They seem to act as if the customers are huge inconveniences to them and some have even been condescending and snippy when something went wrong or not according to routine. For example, one staff member forgot to push a button on the machine to start
Are y'all short on workers? There's no reason why it should take me three hours to get seated in the phlebotomy chair everytime I come here. Edit: I came in the morning, the line was so long that I got my vitals done and left because I would have waited two hours to get my plasma drawn. They want you to get your vitals checked again if you leave the building. I get that. But I had already wasted an hour and a half of my life. Waste another three hours? Not worth it. Get your stuff together. Half your chair
Wait times ridiculous. Staff bears the brunt of the donors discouragement. Watch the new donors get priority over the proven consistent long term reliable donors. Wait times up to 4 hours for loyal donors lately. My advice, be a new donor until the big payouts are over. Then come back when you are elible to be a new donor again. Not a lot of incentive to be a loyal donor these days.
Manuel and David were the best employees during my visit at CSL. Their customer service was above and beyond. When it appeared that the rest of the staff was under pressure they kept it under wraps. Thank you for the pleasurable experience.
They are very busy so it makes sense when they aren't crazy nice but they're just going they're job and they deserve respect for the hard work they do. That all have lives and they're trying to do they're best. Everyone has bad days so if people aren't at they're best respect them and understand that they're trying. It gets busy so they get stressed which is totally understandable. Just try to be empathetic in all that it do and understand that everyone has their own struggles and we never know what anyone
My husband frequently donates (donated) plasma at this establishment, motivated very much by an accident I was in. He will not be back after today. There are certainly some kind people who work there, but there are also some very rude people who work there. I know there are many people who donate for extra money and that is wonderful too but much of the staff acts as if they (the staff) are doing the donors a favor by allowing them to be there. One particularly rude woman today is the last straw for us. I s
I must have had a decent experience from reading all these others. Everyone was nice to me, I got in and got out in a little over 2 hours for my first time, but they kept me moving from station to station the entire time. I also had an awesome phlebotinist who took real good care of me. I didn't get his name, but definitely will next time!
I love my CSL it's always friendly and very in and out.
A little slow at times, overall good workforce. Not sure if this is how it works or not, but Tristan needs a raise or something. He directs the donation floor expertly, and is nice to those donating.
The people that work there they are so nice
I came in for the first time after a near 6 month absence, after approaching the counter I was "greeted" by three employees leaning against a counter 20 feet away who said nothing, just looked at me with eyebrows raised. After explaining I had not been in for a while and wanted to know if I needed to do anything before signing in, they acted as though I was a massive inconvenience. I was screened by a man named Keith, who was the most unprofessional person in a white coat I have ever seen. I am not a sen
?Alright maggots? is the type of energy I received from the young person in charge of the dmv sized area on the right. On this particular day I used my Disney like fast pass - I did not know what to do with such power. So I did my usual thing: checked in with the machine (bunch of questions - no big deal), waited near the front of the desk since I had a flash pass. About 5 minutes later I was able to get someone?s attention which resulted in getting escorted to CSL plasmas booth of disrespect. This young la
Never has a problem till today. Right before I got poked my lady looked at my stomach and asked if I was for sure not pregnant. I am already self conscious so that made it worse. I ended up keeping my stomach sucked in the rest of the time being sitting uncomfortably
Usually have an ok experience once I'm on the donor floor. The people who do the testing usually act like the donors are a huge inconvenience to them. And today I waited twenty minutes to be hooked up after three people came after me and were seen to right away, The lady started to get me going and then just walked off and stood their talking with the coworkers! I didn't get properly started until u finally complained to the right guy. Definitely need better and more efficient workers.
Long story short, I was basically discriminated here around march by their quote on quote, ?nurse? because of having anxiety and mild depression, and was unable to donate for 4 MONTHS. also, almost everyone in here acts like they hate their lives. Not a place you want to go to where everyone acts like they hate their job? you also have to jump through so many hoops just to donate, which i understand, they want to make sure you don't have HIV and such, but i brought in just a copy of my social and they stil
This place needs some serious TLC. I was the first in the door at 8 am to be registered as a new donor. The staff was painfully uninviting except for one sweet girl named Cindy. The referral code that was sent by CSL plasma themselves, would not work so they told me I wouldn't be able to receive the extra money for being a referred donor. The receptionist didn't offer any other solutions and was very curt with her answers and directions. I was told to wait in the waiting area until someone came to get me. I
I've donated at a couple different centers in my life and I can easily say this is BY FAR THE FASTEST MOST EFFICIENT plasma donation center you will find! The staff is kind and helpful, management is knowledgeable, and it's the cleanest center I've ever been in as well. Reading half these reviews, it's easy to see that some people didn't get answers they liked so they are taking their frustration out on the reputation of the business. If some of these donors spent a little time in larger city's plasma cente
A couple good employees, but overall this is the worst place I've ever donated. Most of the employees are slow, gossiping with one another, watching TV, and make me feel like I'm an inconvenience. Always a long wait even when there aren't many donors. Very unorganized compared to other CSL centers. Also, I'm never thanked for my donation!
They are oh so very rude. Me and my husband went the other day with my 2 month old and they didn't say Anything about us having him in there in the lobby it's not like we were in the exam rooms or anything just the lobby then someone came up and told me that I had to go outside with my 2 month old in the 45 degree weather and when I mentioned that the lady basically told me that it was my problem and if I didn't want to stand outside I can go sit in my car. They wanted me to keep my brand new baby out in th
I love the staff here. Everyone is friendly and super helpful. If you read a bad review, it's 98% not their fault. Most people are uninformed, hiding illness like a fever, or seriously have noo manners. Coming for a year and 2 months. Never had an issue. Update 26APRIL2017 (3.5 years): This location has been threw many new staff members. Still see this location as a helpful and overall a pleasant place to donate plasma.
Most everyone is very pleasant and willing to help. I've been a regular donor for around 3 years. Although the poor attitude and customer service from the phlebotomist Kaitlyn has recently had me considering ending my relationship with the center.
First of all I used my boyfriend's account to post this so it definitely isn't Brian Dell posting. Anyway I had to see the MSA which is the nurse and talk to her about my covid shot as required for all recently vaccinated donor's. Already I had stood in line for 30 min waiting to get my vitals done, so next I am sent to the nurse. I listened to the nurse have an ongoing conversation with another donor about kids, grandkids, great grandkids, who still lives at home with her, what's happening for the holidays
I have been going here for three years now, what they are actually doing as far as the mission is good. But the staff on the floor treats us like students they can't wait to get rid of, if your donation process does not go quick enough or smooth enough for them they will tell you all kinds of negative things that you should?ve done. And heaven forbid you walk in an hour before they close, you'll have the entire staff leering at you. Once you finish your cycle and the donation process is ended, the staff I w
I've been donating here for years and have gotten more and more perturbed every time I come here. I used to be able to get in and out within an hour and a half but lately have not been able to donate without waiting 2 hours at least before even being seated. And I have left without donating after seeing a phlebotomist by the name of Kiane after she berated a donor for asking how much longer they'd have to wait. Not only that she is the only phleb who is not very cordial or nice when placing the needle. I ha
If I could give less than one star I would. I first went to CSL around 1p.m. with my drivers license, a copy of my social security card and a copy of my lease. They proceeded to tell me that they are not allowed to take copies of SS cards, fine. Then told me that my lease was good enough to have and I just needed to come back with a W-2 form. I came back at least 15 minutes later with my W-2 form and a different person helped me. He then proceeds to tell me that because my lease was a personal copy and not
This store has a "hit" or "miss" mentality. The good employees are Great & if you get a "Surly" one...well, Good Luck as they are EMPOWERED & emboldened. I am a "Platinum" 100+ donations and when I reached that level - The Manager told me..."It was nothing to be proud of, as they have many at this level". I still go, I hope I'm helping people. Now, I just dont speak to them unless it's a required question.
It's a clean place the service sucks especially if your machine has a problem. Everyone that works there is more interested in story time then doing your job excluding a couple. No one cares. The workers are very loud and use profanity all the time. Don't know why we keep going back
I had a great experience at CSL Plasma. Friendly, funny and, very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this facility in Manhattan Ks.
I was there a little over an hour and the woman who helped me was super rude. I'm an extremely patient person and I understand that people have bad days but no excuse for that behavior. I ended up not being able to donate which was fine because I wanted to be out of that place in the first 10 minutes of being there.
There is a girl there with long dark hair, she's one of the senior staff members. She's extremely rude and condescending, and I have a feeling she thinks she's better and smarter than any of the people donating. She reminds me of a pseudo-intellectual. Everyone else there was nice and pleasant to be around, especially the ginger guy who looks like Ed Sheeran.
Been going here on and off since 2010, the staff there are friendly and very professional . you have to remember they are there to do a job and can't be buddy buddy with everyone. Once you start going more and more then they will lighten up. They go through many people in a single day so they might not remeber you. Overall this place is nice. Really hate seeing all of these negative comments
My husband and I went in to donate. I forgot my SS card so I couldn't, so I was going to sit inside with my 6 month old daughter but then I was told I couldn't do that and that I had to sit outside in my car. Keep in mind that we are new so it was going to be longer than normal and it was 30 degrees out so I was going to had to keep my car running that way my daughter wouldn't get cold. Now that makes me mad because there is nothing on the website saying that you can't sit inside, and that means that we ca
I donate twice a week. I don't know why they have bad reviews...... I guess people want their butt kissed for donating plasma and getting paid for it. Friendly staff and I think the only people who have issues are the ones who lie and are deferred and can't donate anymore. But me I've never had an issue and I think they are all professional
In my experience over the last 6 donations, the employees here are competent and pleasant. The facility is kept clean and sanitary. I don't have any other plasma centers to compare to, but I think this plasma center is doing a good job.
I been donating at lawton clinic twice a week for almost a year. Traveled up to mahattan area for thanksgiving and donated there. The vital check lady was very rude. There operation was totaly different then how they do it in lawton. She told me to remove my sun glasses which I did and put them back on. Told me to remove them again and i explained to her they were perscription. Then she wanted to argue with me that they were not perscription and i need to take them off. When she asked me to raise my
I arrived to the Plasma center at 1130 Garden Way Manhattan Kansas at 3:59pm on April 18, 2021. The employee proceeded to close the remaining open kiosk before 4:00 pm closing time preventing me from logging in. I asked for the manager and the assistant manager David said the employee was instructed to close the kiosk at 4:00. The clocks posted in two areas of front office are off by 2 minutes. One says 3:59 p.m. and the other shows 4:01p.m. I am completely unsatisfied with my experience at this center. I h
Have been able to bring my spouse with me into every doctor's office and hospital I've been admitted to. CSL policy not to allow spouses into office visit (not the procedure area, an office to discuss concerns) raises huge red flags about the way they conduct business.
My sister is a regular here. However I've tried but my veins are too small. But, one hot summer afternoon we came, I have an old beatup 97 GMC Safari. Been working hard to get it functional and working. Sadly the ac/heating doesn't work. And we can stay cool, with the windows open and the vehicle moving. But today was taking longer than usual. And I didn't want my 10 month old daughter to get sick because of the heat. And I honestly was doing everything I could to keep my baby cool. Finally I went i
Bruised my vein and then tried my other arm in which again missed my vein. Ended up being deferred for two months....again. Thoroughly upset and don't plan on coming back. Some workers know what they are doing while others don't so if you like the idea of being poked multiple times this is the place to go!
It was great I had no problems answered all my questions
Used a letter from a foundation i donate to as proof of address, which they accepted. But when I go back for second donation they all of a sudden need another one? Not to mention they threw away the letter I used, which had 2 handwritten pages from a penpal. Thanks csl.
Don't even bother coming in if you have any mental illness. Apparently, if you have a mental illness, you're instantly denied from ever giving plasma or blood anywhere so thanks for letting me waste 3 hours of my time before telling me. Useless. The staff asides from physician who does the physical are nice. The physician doesn't even know what birth controls are.
I have donated twice now, so far this place seems to follow health guidelines as far as being sanitary. The staff that I have interacted with seemed friendly and helpful to me, but then again I didn't ask them thousands of questions
This place is by far the worst place to go to for the CSL they are very rude. I have been to different CLS places for donation but this one is by far the worst one yet. They can't keep track of their records. I had tattoos over 3 years old and they disqualified me because of my tattoos. They didn't mark all my tattoos down the 1st time I donated and they disqualified me because they can't do their job of keeping track of peoples files.
I've never found this staff pleasant in the 4 1/2 years I've visited here. A few people are friendly, but overall the employees tend to be rude. Also there's not really any good waiting area for people who accompany someone who is donating, which is a pain.
I've donated over 150 times here in the past few years and I haven't had any major complaints. The staff have been friendly and helpful and although some the new staff were not accurate with needle placement, they quickly adapted and improved. I would recommend this establishment to anyone wanting to donate plasma
I just moved to this state and I love to donate. I went to that center to ask questions about what they do and if they knew of blood donation places. They were very rude and didn't want to answer my questions. There was 4 or 5 of them just standing around talking amongst themselves. I found this is be unprofessional to begin with. Then to get attitude and disregarded about questions that involve the place, I wasn't impressed to say the least.
I went in today as a first time donor and everyone that I interacted with was very respectful and helpful! I enjoyed the ability to take time to help others at this location! All staff members seemed genuinely helpful and eager to answer all my questions.
Staff was very nice and informative about donating plasma for the first time. I will definitely be back.
I had a great time!!! I was told in advance what I needed to bring, and I was told before I came in that me coming in doesn't guarantee that I will be able to donate Plasma and I went in knowing what was expected of me. The process was lengthy as I was told it would be, but I respect that they have a process to go through. I know that I will go back, and I will recommend them to anyone interested.
Place is packed and they only have 2 of 4 rooms open to donate doesn't make sense. They are professional, but slow and will def take up a lot of your day to donate. It's sad really the need for plasma and then you go to donate and the monetary rewards aren't even worth the time spent sitting around waiting for your turn.
Staff is friendly and hard working. Sometimes it's busy and takes longer. Sometimes you get lucky and are in and out. But why not get paid for being your phone?
i have had a great experience with CSL Plasma. i have been donating for a year now and love having the extra money.
The people are very nice. I haven't donated in a long time and the process was good. A little longer than expected but they are very professional. Tabi was great this morning!!
Friendly & professional staff. Things move along fairly well considering the client ratio.
Very nice and helpful staff
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
