I have no problem with a wanting to keep your donors and your donations safe. That was not the reason for the low scored review. My frustration is that when I was previously donating plasma it would take almost 4 hours from the time I walked into the time I walked out to do a donation. It wasn't worth my time. I decided to give another shot see if things had improved. It took 2 hours to reinitiate the process before I was told to speak with a nurse who informs me that I was denied donations (today and movi
I was a first-time donor here today and I must say, the staff was just awesome. They were all super helpful with getting me all setup and ready to donate. Once I was ready, again their friendly staff took me back and began the process. I thought it would be uncomfortable, but it wasn't at all. Everyone was nice and smiling. They really made it easy for someone that has never done this before.
Been coming here for at least 8-10. Was good in the very beginning with minimal wait as expected. But I would say within the last year it's been poorly run and poor management. New machines are to be quicker and better. There only a Lil faster but seems like the staff work slower or not at all. U come in and hardly see a line and think it would be quick, but it's the complete opposite. Instead of seating people in either line they stand there and have a whole conversation not even work related and don't bot
The initial donor payment schedule is very nice but regular returning donors will only receive about half the initial payments. The staff at this location are very friendly and attentive and answered all the questions I could come up with and check up on you during the donation. Would recommend to anyone healthy and in need of some extra funds.
My experience at CSL was completely inappropriate and disrespectful. I was told that because I am transgender I wouldn't be able to donate. I visited twice, once to create a profile (disclosing medical information & my LGBT status) and had no problems. I came back a second time to complete the donation process as a first time donor, and right before they began the process (I literally had iodine swabbed onto my arm) I was told by Michelle (chelle) at the Carlisle location that I wouldn't be able to donate b
Been donating for over 3 years. The payouts have decreased slightly, and wait times have nearly doubled. Most of the staff is wonderful, although there is a young man there wearing a button that reads "Do not talk to me". I just waited over 2 hours in line before even starting to donate, and now I do not have time to do other things I planned on doing. I travel over 30 minutes to get there ,so leaving when I find it extra busy is not really an option. I wish they would understand that the donors time is mon
Haven't had a chance to donate in over a year. Laps of donations, I gotta say the staff was awesome very prompt and clean. Will definitely go back for my next donation..
This is my only experience with a plasma center, so I can't speak to how it usually is or how other centers are. They're usually always busy. No matter what time you go. Lately, lines for vitals check is at the minimum an hour. Line for a bed can range anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. The staff seem overworked and that presents itself as them being kind of rude. Especially most of the ladies that check vitals. I get they deal with a lot of people and there can be some rude donors, but not all of us ar
3 month update. Typical, walk in and line for bed was 23 and 18 lined up for screening. Over 3 hours just to get to a bed. Lowest pay in country and huge wait times. Why in Texas with CSL does it take a couple hours because of large lines but you get $200 but in PA even longer wait but $45 or $60? Decided to stop donating. ????????????????????????????????????Always a huge wait. Other centers in and out in under an hour but here the wait is always long and that is just to get on a table never mind the dona
This lace will make you.wait hours to donate while (by my current count) 9 employees are on the floor standing in a corner chatting while there is atleast a 2 hour wait(line) and 2 whole empty bays of chairs
5050. Standards go out the window when theirs a bunch of people. All I know is I would get fired from my job if I was having a bad day and snapped on a client. But not these people. They can snap on you and you just gotta take it. Even if they call you by the wrong name ?? csl= can't sit & learn. Major L but I'll take my money
Got here at 7 before they opened the door. This place is poorly run! They have only 2 bays open to seat people. Everyone standing around talking while the line is back to the door!!! It's absolutely insane! They have one person sticking everyone and even she keeps stopping to talk to her co-workers. They need to get it together.
I sit down to get stuck the guy mumbled something behind his full face mask. I asked nicely what he said? He told me very clearly he's not repeating himself. Then gave me an attitude until he finished. Very disrespectful the way he talked to me the entire time.
I had a great experience here! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Even when I had an issue they rushed over and helped me out!
Great location, friendly staff. Only complaint I have is... the long lines... I understand that when there is call offs, the line is slow to move.. but when Teddy is in the building there is little or no lines. Can we get 2 or 3 more Teddy's?
this place sucks. i hate going here and just wanna get in get out but it seems everytime i go theres something wrong. second time i came here and they kept fidgiting with the needle in my arm and now its been bruised for over a week and hurts to use. and now as i was writing this they wasted my time and took me into a nurses room just to tell me i cant use that arm. the employees here and slow and this place should be abandoned and destroyed
I donated it once here came back to donate again and I have bruising on one arm they could not let me donate and the bruising was caused by them will not be going back to this place and I'm honestly thinking of never donating again because of this place going to hospital to get checked I have concerns about other things on top of that they said I do not have the vein look at that vein are you kidding me I think they bruise you purposely so that when you return you cannot qualify for their promotions
I think they are the best in their area. Professional, accommodating, hard working and friendly. I really have a great experience going here to donate plasma and help people that needed it. Keep doing what you're doing guys, you rock!
Some of the staff are racist and the one gay white dude gave me dirty looks and even my bf said all the white donors made him and other people of different races feel uncomfortable by staring the one day he donated. It's better than talecris but there's racial tension.
I normally have a good experience, but I went the other day and was told I couldn't donate bc of something with my protein that they discovered from my previous visit weeks earlier. And nobody called me or sent a letter to let me know. Luckily I don't live far, but it was still an inconvenience. And the fact that I wasn't notified something was wrong is upsetting. So I had to get testing done and now wait 2-3 weeks for results. Then they're supposed to call me with the results after their dr reviews the res
They need more people at night and better system. We are taking time out of our day to help save lives. Waiting almost an hour for a bed, beyond crazy
I have donated here well over 100 times. Haven't really had a bad experience besides a long line sometimes, but that can't be helped. If you want to make some extra money this is a good option if you aren't needlephobic.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location than to the latter. The staff here is very professional and kind. I've seen some reviews about bruises but I work in a warehouse and my arms get bruised up all the way sometimes and yes they do ask but I've never been turned away. Place is extremely clean. I donate truly to help not for the money, however the money is very helpful, the negative comments about the snacks and what else you receive is pretty selfish. This place is way better than most donating centers. Always has
The workers just stand around, there's a short chubby blonde girl that works and she's pathetic it should take her 10 mins to hook the machine for next donor this place seriously lacks work ethic
As someone who battles a fear of needles, donating plasma at CSL Plasma in Mechanicsburg has been an unexpectedly positive journey. Despite my initial apprehensions, the staff has consistently shown understanding and compassion, especially during moments of deferment due to life's unforeseen circumstances. Having conducted thorough research prior to my first donation, I was impressed by CSL Plasma's commitment to addressing any issues promptly. This commitment has been evident throughout my months of donat
I've been coming since October 2022 and while the staff are kind, the company has changed their payment policies quite a bit. There used to be bonuses for people who would donated 6+ times a month. Now they've lowered the rates and also do not give bonuses out. It's just a flat weekly rate. They've also downgraded in the snacks substantially the last few weeks. Oh one big thing is thay they recently changed is their new donor policy. It used to be that if you didn't donate for 6 months, you would be conside
Just waited in line for almost 2 hours and still hadnt started my donation. I left. I'm not the only one either. Some people have things to do. Don't use this center unless you have 4 hours free
I always have a great experience Friendly phlebotomist that make sure your comfortable while donating. Andrew is the best! Never have to wait long, just go at the right times. Fast check in process, the apps are great too!
Went for my first time yesterday and I am TERRIFIED of needles, but I needed to make some extra money for our beach trip coming up and no one wanted their lawns mowed or kids baby sat so my friend suggested this to me! The staff was SO incredibly friendly and they are so personable and really made me feel at ease. They are all great people there that really care about you and they make the experience that much better. Anyone on here who says otherwise has a stick up their ass because these people are so fri
Friendly staff and doing good for others is good for us too. lines can be long at times but its a test in patience and you do get rewarded.
Most staff is great but they are always understaffed. Hire people!
Absolutely insane that it takes hours to get thru check in line to then have to wait atleast another hour in the wait line before the hour time it takes to donate!!
Always friendly and personable. Everytime they get me in fast and have not had an issue with payment and usually faster in the morning until 3pm. Staff does their best to make sure you're comfortable.
Very polite. Also very slow
I've only donated twice so far, but both times were a smooth experience! I'm a college student trying to make some extra money and this is the perfect fit. You can donate twice in one week and sit on your phone while the process is happening. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a way to make fast cash while also helping out those in need. It's a win-win!
I had a great first experience with CSL! I was amazed at how efficient their process is. Every staff member that I had interaction with was friendly and kind. The compensation is nice and they have other great incentives (bonuses, promotional offers, raffles). The facility was very clean and orderly. Donating plasma is a great way to help save lives while earning extra money. Thanks for a great experience!
Today was my first time giving a donation. I loved it! The staff was sooo nice to me! The process is so easy. The needle wasn't that bad, and watching the machine separate my cells in the tubes was fun! They let you text and browse on your phone while you donate so you're not bored or falling asleep. I can't wait to go back in a day or so!
Great way to make a difference and earn some cash! Super friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. I won't lie, 1st visit will take a while, but the rest are a breeze! Easy check-in, comfortable lounge. Do it for yourself or do it for those with health issues; just do it!
Friendly staff and clean environment. The process does get back up at times but overall great experience. Update: In recent months the quality of service has declined. They seem understaffed and inefficient in meeting customers needs. Hopefully this will improve.
Had a really good experience until about 3 weeks ago with the employee Tori. She did a extremely bad stick. She had a very bad attitude, actually blaming me for it. When I had enough and told her I was going to report her attitude, she then lied and said I threatened her. This got me banned. I have requested a call from the facility, STILL have not received a call from the head manager. I did send this to corporate so they can review the video on how she acted during my donation time. If you do go th
It isnt the worst but you could equate it to Walmart and never having registers open Hire more people if you don't have enough staff to utilize all the bays available. Other than that it's clean n friendly
First time donating today. Very courteous staff. No new donors ahead of me in line so process was quick and easy. I researched beforehand and hydrated and ate appropriately and had zero issues. Donated a full 880ml without any side effects or reactions. Very pleasant staff. Overall an easy quick way to make extra bucks!
These guys are fantastic! EVERYONE is extremely friendly and efficient. I can get out in just over 90 minutes. That is extremely quick considering I donate the full ML amount. This place can get pretty busy. If you get stuck in a long line, then stop coming at 1700 when everyone is getting off work. The payment is put onto a debit card immediately after donation. Excellent pay and bonus opportunities.
Great people work here!! Everyone is always very friendly and welcoming. The staff is professional. The only negative is the wait time. No matter what time you come; the wait is often 30 minutes.
Fist time was scary but they made it feel comfortable, did take a little longer than I thought but still good time for all the process. My second time was awesome, very short time and excellent customer service as well very friendly and enjoyable people. If your looking to donate please try this place out.
First time I went the needle slipped or something and caused a big bruise. They switched to the other arm and everything was fine. Then I couldn't donate cor a few weeks cause the bruise wouldn't go away. Not their fault....i heal weird. I have had no problem since then. The staff are great. They really try their best to speed things along.
Instead of just saying no you are not an eligible donor?. They send you through hoops and let you tire out. Extremely unprofessional. I went in January ?22 and got a form for my doctor to fill out and sample blood drawn. Never documented taking my blood and never told me what was going on when the form was submitted. I got sick so I didn't want to try to proceed til June ?22, this is where I found out they didn't document taking my blood! They took more to ?sample me? and I waited a month to hear anything f
Typically on point...they had some staffing troubles a few months back...i went elewhere to donate for 6 months. Tried a midday midweek and walked straight into a vitals booth, no donor line but busy still...right now waiting for doors to open on a Sunday to see how this goes
The staff is very nice however after you are processed up front the process slows down...it seems like they wait for ppl to get up before they seat donors that are waiting. This would be ok if they had no seats available...Ive donated many times at a CSL center in Florida and never had this problem..If I had to wait to get in the back it was because there were no seats available...bit for some reason this center almost has to wait for someone to get up before they call you to a seat when there are plenty ot
A few female workers there are SUPER disrespectful I will never come back to this plasma center AGAIN they didn't give me saline before I left because they wanted me out because I didn't want to get stuck in my other arm and it takes about 2-3 hours to get done wit one donation
I have had 18 good experiences with this place. But I when into donate Monday and Wednesday and both times they said my blood pressure was to high. Which I was upset that I couldn't donate because I know my blood pressure isn't high. Because I checked it before I when on Wednesday. Both girls that took my blood pressure on Monday and Wednesday I feel they had the cuff on my arm in the wrong place. Because the week before I donate and my blood pressure was fine. Personally it makes me not want to donate any
I have been donating for awhile and love the staff. They are all so nice and hurt free. But, lately I feel service has declined. It could be because they have become so busy and there are not enough staff, but there have been several times where I have waited 1/2 hr to 40 minutes to get a chair, and 15 minutes before unhooked. And the new staff are not as pain free as the old staff. Examples: when sticking finger for blood, they are doing it on pad of finger instead of side, when placing needle they go in
Very friendly, efficient staff. I used to donate at another plasma center in Harrisburg, but never again! They were rude, it never seemed clean, and it always took about 4 hours to get out of there. When I found out CSL was here in Mechanicsburg, I decided to check it out because it's a lot closer to home. It was so bright and clean and, even as a new donor, I was done in a little over 2 hours! Great place to earn extra money quickly.
Employees are awesome and professional and its also very clean. However, I get anxiety really bad and due to that, my pulse kept getting high on the process of checking vitals and levels. I was turned away everytime as too deferred for2 we err is the first time andc30 days the second. Prior to that I was a consistent donor. I think there should be different guidelines set specifically for that. As I heard it happens to a lot of people in regards to anxiety . Now I'm back , I can only get paid 26 dollar
Everyone is nice, but man you need to get more people up for the vitals check in last 2 times i came line is to the door of people wait for vitals checks completely ridiculous. Then last time i waited about an hr on top of that in line to get the plasma taken out and i counted 18 empty chairs.... ridiculous people come here to get blood taken and they have to wait 2 hours before they can even get it drawn. Get more employees to work or better balance the ones you have if your in the office doing nothing get
Only ever had one good experience here. Been donating for 6 months and its always 2 to 3 hour wait and everybody is standing around goofing off doing nothing. Really wish management would learn how to run a business
1st time donating plasma and was very impressed with the facility and staff. I've donated blood before but still get nervous about the needle going in but my phlebotomist was very understanding and helped distract me. The ladies who ran through my screening were also very friendly, and while donating multiple staff members came to check on me. This was my first time and it took just under 3hrs because I was new, but I hardly had to wait to start donating once the screening was done so I must have picked the
I love the people and I love helping people. However, I'm seriously tried of waiting for every step. It takes me 2 hours minimum everytime but it only takes me 30mins-45mins to donate once hooked and unhooked. Seriously understaffed and I'm pleased to see they have now posted signs. Mornings are just as bad too, wait in line for an hour before seated and another 15 mins. If I'm going to be waiting so long they should give us more money.
Today I stopped in to donate, it was the third time i ever donated and had no problems in the past, after my visit today i dont know what happened but, i blacked out in the parking lot and couldnt see or move. I called the center from my phone through siri and employees at this place came running out to my rescue! They kept me awake and comfortable while the paramedics were on their way. If anyone knows the name of the lady who helped me please let me know so i can write a thank you letter
I went there for the first time. Everyone there was very welcomed. The staff was friendly and ready to answer any questions. I really liked my experience there and will continue to donate.
i?ve never had to wait too long so that is good. the only problem is workers not changing gloves between donors or at least using hand sanitizer on their gloves before going to the next donor. it's especially worrying with covid but, anything dealing with peoples blood should be more careful because of disease.
I am not a fan of needles but man when I tell you the staff here are amazing at helping me get over that fear. They are all sweet and caring for their ?patients?. If you are wanting to help others by donating you plasma and make a couple extra bucks, this is your place to go!! Definitely a 5
Clean, with friendly and personable staff. The wait times can get atrocious, however. If you go during a busy time, you can expect to wait in line more than an hour before they start the draw.
Everyone is super friendly. I love the staff they know you by name when you come in the door. Great experience. Good way to make extra money.
Jenny and Marjorie are really two very kind and knowledgeable people. Donating is less stressful knowing that Jen will be sticking me. I would recommend this particular establishment to my friends and famy.
If you want to be a giver and make some cash as well, This is an easy process and the staff is awesome! The pay cards suck! Be careful how you use them because I lost money in fees and the ?free? atm transactions are not free! Thumbs down for the outdated cards!
Staff is always fun and friendly. They will do everything they can to help you get through your donation. Overall just always a great experience!
"Donating" for almost a year now and the quality of staff and cleanliness are always superior. Very comfortable environment. Great way to make extra money while helping others in need.
Everyone was extremely friendly! I was scared my first time, and the ladies in there helped me calm down. Everything went so well!! Just remember, bring a blanket.
EMPLOYEE HIT ME!!!! I usually donate here on a regular, this specific time I just donated one of the employees (Name Ragad ? middle eastern woman) was being very disrespectful after I politely asked her not to touch me again after she stuck me wrong. The argument then continued as i was speaking to another employee because, then the disgruntled employee decided to put her hands on me after being pulled away from other employees, she still came back to argue!!! They permanently deferred me but did not fire t
Just think the wait in this place is a little too long, a 3 hr wait on average is way too long especially when they only utilize half of their bays and only one or two check in bays when they can easily check in 4 or 5 at a time, they need to be better at getting ppl in and out of their a little quicker especially if they have the means to.
I occasionally go donate plasma. My veins are pretty deep and sometimes that makes it a little difficult for the phlebotomist but Robin always seems to be able to get it! Most of the people who work here are super nice and cool. But Robin really knows what she's doing. 4 stars though because the place is always popping so the wait times are long.
CSL Plasma is all in all a great and friendly experience from the moment you walk in the door to the time that your donation is complete. The staff is very welcoming and professional, plus they always make sure that you are comfortable and don't require anything. It's always a pleasure to come donate plasma at this CSL location.
Very clean, bright center; the donating process is easy and efficient from start to finish. The staff are pleasant and upbeat as well, which makes coming in for a donation that much nicer. Impressed!
I have been here 4 times so far, it does get busy with limited staff but otherwise I have always felt comfortable and the facility is very clean.
It s good and clean ther nice ataff yhe only reason 4/stat is the one nurse there dose not know how to ayick ppl vain fishing basicly and blew my vain so bad i ened up in the hospitql that night bc when i took the bwndage og 5 6 hours later it was still bleeding only bleeding with out pressure had a almoat full forearm bruse for abour 3/4 weeks thats was 2 weeks in in the picture
The past several times I have been to the mechanicsburg donation center the lines were unreasonably long. Very discouraging to even want to donate. Seems like they are under staffed for a popular center. Not very efficient and not sure if compensation matches time spent in center recently.
Just left the plasma center, and while there, I overheard the "phlabotomist" Leah making very inappropriate comments about one of their customers name. Leah's comments were borderline racist and completely unprofessional.
I donated the first time, and when I went in for the second time I was informed that the bruise left from the first poorly done stick prevented me from donating a second time until it clears up more. It doesn't hurt and it's only discolored now. The tech that did the initial stick used a really large needle that hurt the entire time it was in use.
Very friendly staff and convenient hours. If you arrive the last minute before closing, no service will be denied. Dan, Matt, and Robyn all rock!
I've been here only 4 times and I don't think I'll be anywhere else, staff is friendly, informative, and they get you in and out quicker than any other one I've been in. Keep up the good work!
Awesome staff. Patience is a virtue! Sometimes lines are outrageous wishing they'd find a way to cut that long line drastically.
I love this place. Always quick, the staff are great, and it's never too busy! All around great experience
Great service, i love how friendly everyone is with me. And of the staff help to ensure I'm taken care of. Truly amazing service and great people??
Great experience every time. We do still stand in the screening line too long. The longer your in line, the more you fatigue
This is by far the best plasma center I have been to. I'm finished in 1.5 hours and treated very well. Other centers take an average of 4 hours. Definitely never going to any other center but this one.
I have gone to this place multiple times trying to sign up to donate. I just left the place. I am told again that they won't accept me. Why you ask? Because my permanent address is a hotel. You read that right my PERMANENT address is a hotel but they are like not good enough.
The concept of helping people and getting paid for it is awesome. The reality of waiting over an hour to even sit down in a chair isn't. Maybe an appointment system should be adopted?
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
