CSL Plasma Mesquite, TX

CSL Plasma Mesquite, TX

Reviews Summary

This plasma center receives mixed reviews, with many complaints about long wait times (often 3+ hours), understaffing, and rude or unprofessional employees. Several donors report poor organization, slow service, and cleanliness concerns. However, positive reviews highlight friendly staff, efficient service when properly managed, and a clean facility. Common grievances include misleading payment promises, lack of communication, and inconsistent policies. While some donors have excellent experiences with caring staff, others describe disrespectful treatment, disorganization, and frustration with wait times—particularly for new donors. The consensus suggests quality varies heavily by staff shift and timing.

I used to rate them terrible last year because you wouldn't need to block out your entire day to just donate. Every time I've walked in this year I'm like uhhh are y?all open? There isn't any 3 hour line because of the new machines called iNomi are awesome and take such little time and make the donation process much better for the donor too. They have also been improving the donor experience as far as the questioner so it pre-populates your answers from the last time you donated. Mine never changes so I li

It's almost like they don't want you to donate. Nobody at the front desk, when I finally got someone, she was slow & would not check my proof of residency (which I was worried wouldn't be valid) until each step had been completed. 45 minutes of waiting to be given the answer to the 1st question I asked, & be told it wasn't valid

Very under staffed I came in it was 3 people in front of me I stood in line for 1 1/2 hours!!!! Who ever is higher up needs to take a look at this place....it's like they don't want u to donate so they don't have to do their jobs

Donator beware. I donated 2 times, and on the second visit, they blew out my view and caused a huge hematoma. One of the attendees said that after the bruising went away, they would reinstate the first-time donor program. I had to wait 4 weeks for the bruising to go away. When I went back, the closing manager said they would not reinstate the first-time bonus. Also, most of the employees are rude and have attitudes. Some are friendly but only a select few. I will not ever go back. Poor service and horrible

They are terrible. They deliberately make you wait twice as long as it should take. They're also extremely rude. It's almost not worth the effort. If it wasn't for all the good done by the donation, I wouldn't come back. It used to be great, but it's gone way downhill. Now they're paying out even less. I asked how much they make from each donation, and I was told they make at least $6000 from the smallest amount. Yet, they pay out less than 1% of what they make.

?I had an amazing experience ! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and helpful. The entire staff made the whole process smooth, ensuring I felt comfortable throughout. The customer service was top-notch, and I'll be returning!?

So only problem I have is that I was under the impression that I would receive $150 for my referral and only got $50 but they have signs up that says clearly $150 for referral and $50 for the referee.. Told the staff and showed them the sign had to call corporate and still didn't get the extra pay!! ?FALSE ADVERTISEMENT?

The process takes too long. I don't see a lot of people working just one person checking everybody's blood work and blood pressure. Always more than 2 hours just to donate. It's always a headache to come here just go somewhere else.

This is by far the worst center to go to if I didn't already donate here I would for sure go somewhere else ! They never have enough people working but WONT HIRE NOBODY WITH ACTUAL EXPERIENCE They don't sit donors until other donors have gotten up always have like 2 people screening so it's always slow !!! And packed with over 20 plus people in line it's ridiculous!! They open at 7:00 but won't open doors until 8:00 they have donors standing outside creating a line down to the other stores that's just absol

New donor in the beginning it was quick but then I stand for 30 minutes and sit on the bed waiting again to be stuck spoke with the manager and she said she will look into it literally there are no philbotomist here or they can only stick on another machine was informed that this is the team smh I have never seen such a mess stii 20 people waiting And four on beds

This facility is okay but the staff are completely disrespectful. All you do is ask one question and they wanna raise their voice with you because they're mad they have a lot to do, like the lack of professionalism is beyond me. Save your time and call ahead or try another facility if I could I'd speak with management about the staff they work with. They said come back in two hours for new donors, why I can't schedule an appointment for a new donor? This process is ridiculous.

Vida was very professional and courteous. She provided me with an exceptional experience and I'll be back here again for sure

Came on for the first time waited at the front desk by the first time donor sign for about ten minutes and then I left. Didn't see a single worker the whole time.

This place is absolutely horrible. I know a plasma center isn't fun, but the employees are extremely lazy and slow. A few good employees, but most of them will try to do anything to not help the actual donors. At closing time all of sudden they move fast and organized, why? Bc now they wanna go home and now they wanna work quick and efficient. But other than that they move so slow and I feel it's on purpose. There were 24 people ahead of me, they only had 2 people at the front to get people to the back to d

They are so slow about everything. It's full line waiting to be seated to donate. Instead of one person finish , clean up, set up and bring the next person in. They wait until the whole entire bay is finished then they set up and bring in the next person. Like no that's not how that supposed to go. That why people get so angry because of the timing of their strategy on the donor floor. This is Terrible I've been the 3rd person waiting to be seated for over an hr and a half now

If I could give a -5 stars I would. The female older black nurse is very rude and lacks professionalism. My reasons for being unable to donate is on me, but if you are working in any realm of dealing with people on a consistent day to day basis you must learn professionalism and empathy. Talking to people loud and crazy is NOT the answer. It seems as though there is some type of "deferral quota" they have to meet. Every person I witnessed her encounter she tried to find a reason to give them a hard time or

Wrote down on my first visit it would be $125 for 45 days. I come in today and they told me she wrote it down wrong and it would only be $40 and it was supposed to be 30 days ... is that even legal now I just wasted two hours of my time because your associate was wrong?

Won't be donating here again. Understaffed..and you can tell these people care nothing about you. It's all a fashion show. Had to wait 25 extra minutes to be disconnected from machine, as I was skipped over multiple times, though I had finished before several people. Had to get a little loud to be recognized, then rewrap my own arm once I got home, as the technician did a piss-poor job of it.

It really sucks when you are a longtime consistent donor and you keep bringing new donors who are only there for the initial $ and keep pushing everyone else further back. The team is nice, the policy is stupid!

I've donated at this location on and off since roughly 2019. I've never had a bad experience. On your first visit, bring your social security card number. The only issue I had here was that I didn't bring it and had to drive back home lol. Other than that, the staff here is really helpful in answering your questions. Some of them seem to not have the most fun doing this job, but they never treat me bad, nor do they do anything that could harm me. I took a buddy here the other day and he told them he hadn't

This location has gone downhill, they criticize people and help their own kind more than other races, the excuse is that don't have the proper cuffs for certain people and they just tell you to leave, someone from the city needs to come check on this place and have an inspection for safety measures.

Went yesterday everything was fine until it was fixing to return blood machine starts beeping girl walks over by then I got sharp pain in arm immediately takes needle out says got to move to other arm for return it's no biggie puts ice on my arm get ready to leave get told my date to wake up today get on app I'm temporary deferred and nobody wants to answer plus I can barely move my arm FYI the picture is not even 24 hours after I left and I don't bruise easy

I wish they would force no bottles holding your spot in line in the mornings! I mean people should stand in line like others and not but a bottle or cup etc to hold their spots and go sit in their cars or even leave the facility and come back?. Most of the staff is cool and kind. Even during the busy times and the staff help each other out which you rarely see.

I went to donate today and now they have new plasma machines I've lost over 90 pounds and I'm good to go tell me why this unlicensed woman says to me the cuffs in the back won't fit your arm ( but in a nice way) the first cuff fit to take my pules and blood pressuer but she needed help to make sure it was on me correct???? I asked her I don't understand she placed another cuff and asked for help again like really??? The person who helped said yes it don't fit but it was around my arm with extra length soo I

I haven't donated here yet and won't waste my time. No one ever answered the phone and my first time going up there the two ladies that were at the front desk were extremely rude and not personable. They denied me because my ID didn't have all 4 names as my social security card. I explained this is what they put on their and she said "that's not our problem, you can't donate here". When I've tried to ask a question about it, she got loud and said in the supervisor here and you heard what I said. Then I s

Wait periods in line are over 3 hrs. Staff is unprofessional. 360 app for kiosk skip is a joke when you still have to wait hours in line to be placed in a bed for draws. God forbid if there's 10 new donors in front which adds another hour or two for you to get in a bed. Understaffed and lazy employees.

(Update) 12/24 They can still be slow as? Christmas at times But they have gotten a lot better since My last review?? (Update) They got a new policy of only ten in the waiting room, so they won't do a intake unless someone from the waiting room is called to the donating floor. This would/could work but they don't call someone to the donating floor when a chair becomes open. So it leads to insane wait times. Is this going to be fixed? I don't know I?

Every time I've gone in, I've been able to sign in and today somehow my email my password and none of my stuff works. It's almost like their system completely forgot me, but I was in here Monday and every time I come in one of the employees has an attitude or when you get poked, they don't poke right I highly recommend you go to a plasma donation center stay away from this one is horrible

Called an hour before they're advertisement shows as closed to make sure they're still open. There was no answer. They try to do too much with too few staff. They pay up to 625 per 5 donations. They earn anywhere from 500 to 3000 per bottle. I'm not kidding, look it up. But they refuse to have one staffer dedicated to answering phones and inquiries at the front desk. Instead they have techs bounce from donors to the phone and back. Please pay a living wage to someone to answer the phones and front desk in

My sister tried to donate here last week, and she was told she couldn't donate because the cuffs for the blood pressure check has to reach a certain length around your arm.I have never heard anything like this. What does the cuffs have to do with anything as long as you can check your blood pressure it shouldn't matter.I need to know has anyone else experienced this besides my sister?

Date 09-06-2024 why would you guys say it opens at 7 but had a manager come outside to say nurse is not here yet well open at 8 you guys need to get fired of in trouble I need the main managers phone number

Your better off coming 30 minutes before closing. Otherwise your gonna be waiting 3 hours

So apparently staff can just create reports that never happened and don't have to face the donor that they are making up the report about. Apparently I was rushing the staff to do their job (which is confusing to me because I came this particular day expecting it to be busy and expecting it to be a bit of a wait because of the upcoming holiday and knowing they were going to be closed the following 2 days) and what I thought was the smoothness donation I had ever had up until this point (including the wait t

Tyrone Willis is always nice and polite every time I come always smiling and always makes my visit pleasant and a big shoot out to Cassandra for coming in on her off day to make sure the line moves smooth and quick

Mrs. Marquise Robinson was very pert and rude with her directions. And whenever she stayed them unclearly or incorrectly she got very touchy with my misunderstanding and threatened to kick me out for rude behavior. She literally asked me to turn my legs around and I asked her what and she interruptrd me mid sentence and changed her statement while replying very rudely and in an unprofessional demeanor. I noticed she was nice to most others wondering if it's a gender or race issue

Training inefficient. Told the lady not to fish for the vein, she didn't listen and infiltrated my vein. Stuck the other arm and used an insufficient vein that was swelling and causing my hands fingers and tongue to tingle. No help. Finally get someone to look and by this time they tell me I can't get my blood back and I'm now deferred. I'm donating to help people get better not be messed up myself. Maybe you should have certified phlebotomists instead of entry level on the job training staff. Unsafe practi

Save yourself some time and go to a different location. Go to a bio life, much faster process.

Very rude and unprofessional! We are treated like trash. The kiosk is always broken, and the staff have attitudes if you ask for help. The staff in the back always complaining about when they going on break

Very rude and unprofessional phlebotomists. Alexis is such a pretty girl. Too bad she has such an ugly, nasty, attitude. The rest of the staff is good accept for the tall, White girl with the purple hair. If they were half as professional and friendly as the ladies at the front are, this would be a great donation center. I was a new donor and I got there at 11:00 am. I didn't get finished until FIVE O'CLOCK PM!! When I made mention to the one with the purple hair, she totally stopped my hook up to the ma

Went for first donation , it was smooth process takes couple of hours first time , but they are just doing what they have to to make sure you are ok fo donate . I'll return for my next donation here

If your wanting a good experience on donating, I suggest you look else where. If you request to speak to management, there is no management....it's basically who wants to play manager today. Maybe because they hire anybody with no experience, and have the rudest people answering the calls. They are quick to put you on hold and never return back to phone call. CSL is not organized, and makes the few workers that due there job and are courteous makes them look bad! Having to represent that company.

I have to Brag about Christine. She really does care about people. She is so bubbly and calming. Need more people like her. She is amazing.

I've read many bad reviews about the staff at this location but luckily for my experience they changed staff or hired new people or whatever the case may be, but I was very happy with the staff. Well my first time was obviously long and it was actually pretty awful but that's only because I didn't prepare nearly as well as I should have. I ended up having a reaction at the end of the whole process and the staff was extremely vigilant and worked very quickly to help me. They kept me for a little while to mak

I love how communicative & Helpful the staff is here.. they are very informative and explain so much that they make sure you understand the rules & what to expect..no one has bruised my arms or made any mistakes.. I have had 3 visits and each visit went as it should. I was paid as advertised..$125 or donation. I'm glad that they drug test and are very strict about things

I have had some pretty awful experiences b4 coming here. ( IDAH ) I think that is her name. She is now management didn't realize that when I requested her but trust me I see why. She is amazing , trained and skilled in her field. The only person to not leave a bruise on me not once but twice. I appreciate the people here I have had an awesome experience and I for sure recommend this location as well as pleasant grove

Be advised!!! This place is so unsanitary and not clean. I'm trying to get this place closed down. A family got hepatitis C from this place. Not clean at all. Do not trust this place or the ppl there. Find a different place to donate. I would even question if the needles are clean or re used.

i came over from octapharma and i was very scared bc of all the negative reviews on here. this morning was my second donation and like the first time every thing went fine. Now the nurse on day 1 wasn't super nice or friendly but wasn't rude or anything. Everyone else is friendly, nice and caring. this center is also a lot nicer than others. I cant find any reason why they have such a bad review. shout to heather a team leader she was funny and great at her job as well.

I never knew what giving Plasma meant. I was scared, and didnt know what i was doing. I was not sure about the area, due to the grocery store next to CSL but my son and DIL assured me it was very clean and the employees were nice. THEY WERE SO RIGHT!!, I LOVE THIS place, the staff is the best, and make you feel wanted, and very professional. The place is very clean, and smells really good. I am so excited to be able to help and will be back for sure.

Avoid this location if you're in a hurry I arrived at 7:00am and didn't get out till after 9:30am. And they were not to busy they just didn't care to see what was going on with the machine and why it was pulling so slow. Still sat there for a extra 30 minutes even though I was done. No one came to unhook me from the machine

I have been donating here since last November and every experience has been wonderful. From the front desk all the way to those in the donation rooms, it has always been a great experience. I could not be more pleased and will happily continue to donate here. Be patient with the staff, they see many people a day and a kind word and a patient attitude can do wonders for everyone's experience ; )

This center has poor service and takes 3 hours to just sit on a bed . I've been coming here for almost an year now and it's same experience every time with rude staff .. TERRIBLE

Would definitely not recommend going here! Place felt gross from the moment I walked in. I was standing waiting for someone to speak with about donating for the first time, then a man comes up trying to get someone to speak to him and they completely ignored him aswell... He was trying to inform the staff of blood on the bathroom floor. I walked out whenever I realized they were not paying any attention to the people in the first time donor area and that they completely ignored the man with an actual concer

It is what it is, I've been to 3 CSL facilities, and this is leaps and bounds better. Long lines, yes. Slow moving techs, yes. Personally I don't want anybody in a hurry coming at me with that needle. Now think about this, that line grows faster than they can get us through. People in need of a few dollars line up quick. Best CSL I've been to so far.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Terrible service, there is only ONE phlebotomist in this clinic and everyone else just stands and plays around like if it's not a job. When asked about why the ?systems were down? the manager, ?Aida?, just ignored everyone and was laughing like her center wasn't full of people waiting for this problem to be fixed. A business is as good as their management and this place is terrible. No one here takes their jobs seriously.

Andrew at the counter has the Southern passive-aggressive thing mastered. Maybe he should focus more on answering questions that are asked directly. If asked what am I waiting on? An answer of "You have people ahead of you" is NOT an answer to the question. "You are waiting for a nurse, speak to intake, etc." is less condescending. It also addresses the question asked.

Very friendly employees, throughout this facility. CSL offers a multitude of bonuses to truly make plasma donations work one's time. 1st time may take a couple of hours, but once n the system, it's a lil over 1hr. They've got a helping app, a website, as well as a rewards website attached to payment cards. Seriously, WORTH IT!

My experience today has been the worst. They have new people on the floor and they are popcorning around the donor room. No kind of order. I have been waiting, laying, for 20 minutes. Still noone has hooked me up to a machine. Everyone around me has been served. I am a hard stick, but I am sure I am not the only one and deserve to be treated equally. There's one guy who usually sticks me and he went on break as soon as I laid down.

The staff mainly is always nice to me but I have had a couple experiences there in the last five years were the people were rude and acted much like they were better then the donors. They do talk alot and loudly and yes their lines are long but the main problem there is an older male nurse they have he is rude and acts like anything anyone tells him is a lie. He acts as if because you are there you are not a good person somehow. If you are going to treat people that way then you should find a different occu

Horrible experience! One of the employees names LATOYA lied and told me her name was KIM! One of the other employees pulled me aside and told me she had lied about her name so she wouldn't get a bad review! one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in my adult life. Please remove her from this location. If this is how y'all treat customers you should be shut down. I will continue to leave reviews and contact corporate until her and any other employee of the same mind set are removed. I

I have been here 3 times. The staff members are very kind and they aren't anywhere near as slow as other plasma donation centers I've been to. I went this morning and I was in and out in an hour and a half. There were 9 people in front of me. But if you go in the evening it will take longer and if you're a new donor it's going to take all day no matter where you go. It's a very long process to make sure you're healthy enough to donate. They don't want you hurting yourself trying to donate when you shouldn't

Came up here to get information about the process for a client and the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional. She addressed my client as girl. She also gave the wrong information when we called. After we drove 30 minutes to get here, we were told that they were not accepting anyone else after 5:27 because they were ready to go home. Very rude, unprofessional and unorganized. I would not recommend this center to anyone.,

most of the negative reviews for this place are completely bunk they change gloves every time they see someone to check in NEW signups always take 4-5 hours. you are not the only person in the facility. the facility is clean. they don't reject people based on race or what kind of tattoos you have the only time tattoos or piercings matter is if you have gotten one WITH IN ONE YEARS TIME or have been incarcerated for more then 72 hours all of the staff here does an exceptional job.

Every single time I have come here in the last month, EVERY SINGLE TIMEx and I come every 3 to 4 days, they are either closed during business hours with lines out the door and people waiting for hours for them to open or they're short staffed and cant open more than one row of beds or they're slow because of computer system problems. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I used to be in and out in an hour tops and this last month I'm lucky if I have gotten out in under 3 hours. It's always one excuse or another now as to why

Everyone was really professional and welcoming, The lady at booth 5 today was amazing with helping me get my pulse under control. Tyrone in the back was also amazing getting me hooked up to start my donation.

I don't think some of these nurses are knowledgeable. They always look tired and sleepy. Some of these employees act like they don't even wanna be there. Very dry

As a new donor, I expected the process to take a long time, but almost 5 hours? No thanks. If you're looking to make a quick donation, it's not happening... Especially here. I was greeted by a rude employee who gave me attitude the whole time I was in the facility. I waited about an hour before I was called to a "screening room" where I waited almost another hour before I was kicked out of the room so another employee could use it. After they realized I was sitting outside the door, waiting, they called me

Do not go to this one, look up Octoplasma. I had to wait a full hour and a half just to get in the chair and Krystal got saline in my arm. No Covid-19 safety regulations. They don't wipe chairs clean after people donate in them, chairs and line spacing was not 6 feet apart. Andrew was rude. None of these people seemed to know what they were doing. There was a constant line of ten or more people the entire time and the staff made it clear they didn't care everyone had to wait more than an hour. Lines at six

This place is worst center in Dallas. They do no open on time. One person didn't show up and they didn't open till 9:30 am when they should have opened at 6am. Nurse Brenda Johnson and assistant Aida Larios, we're rude and did not wear they're masks properly or order anyone to follow the six feet rule. Both lack management skills and customer service abilities to run this center.

I get new donors have random test that take 14 days to get results for whatever they're looking for. But why do I have to get into several long lines at 7am to find that out? It's too much technology for that. We have apps and phones. Notify people before their time is wasted!!!

This place used to be fast .now you wait hours .only one Bay open out of 4 . And few are very rude. Three in back sticking yet tons in front walking around doing nothing the lines are long to long .people sitting on floor for hours . Update... 7/23/22 It's a lot better now wait still sucks at times. more bays open .nicer . And clean?? .

Roach has been trying to crawl all over 5 people, watched it run around for 20mins. One employee we told ignored it and left. Another said she'd call Terminex. They need to hire. There's over 28 people in line to get a chair and hooked up, for over a hour now. Its 1:47pm on a Thursday. Update*** Its now 2:30pm. 2 ppl ahead of me in line and 4 waiting to be hooked up in chairs. Only one row and two workers. I've been here since tad after noon. Ridiculous.

Takes 3 and half or 4 hours to process an existing donor... The staff are rude unhelpful and judgey. I got accused of being a tweaker ( I have spinal injuries) so it's hard to sit in these seats they got from the prison consignment store. Intake nurse didn't speak English even as her 3rd or 4th language but had the audacity to defer me after I got irritated and walked out after being called a drug addict.

This place is great. Coming from the masters/lake june location this place has a bigger and better staff. This is more organized and cleaner. I came in at 345pm and was out at 440pm. Not bad considering i had to get a new card and see a nurse before i donated being i havent donated in a couple of months.

Staff is always nice and professional with me.

The most unprofessional experience I've ever had. They made me wait for hours then would no accept my four different personal documents I brought. Complete waste of my time and energy, but its a bait and switch operation anyway, saying you can get $700 for your first visit, but then you find out it's more like $70! Ridiculous! I would give them 0 stars if I could!

Extremely disrespectful staff. They never answer their phones. There is almost never anyone at the front desk. If you have a question get ready to wait an hour. Read the reviews! The reviews do not lie, half the time they are closed during business hours and open 6 hours late because their employees hate working there and all call in as a group.

Pros: they pay a lot for donations Cons: the staff are rude and disrespectful. One of the staff members, Latoya, today told me ?she wouldn't donate plasma because her coworkers are bad with the needles and dig in your arms and she didn't wanna have bruises or look like she donated plasma.? She hands down is the worst technician I have ever tolerated here, but none of them are even much better. The waits are super long. It takes me at least 2 hours to donate. For reference I used to donate at Biolife Plasma

Today was my first day. It was easy, the people were great, and very clean. If you are brand new, it takes a while at ANY PLASMA CENTER. Be patient. It's worth the wait. 5 stars.....

3 hours to stand in line, short staffed, rude staff, and roaches crawling on wall , reported to staff. Bays were empty and still had to stand in line for an additional hour. 4hour visit to donate. Crystal G was very disrespectful and told me "I didn't have to donate if I didn't like short staff". Takes away from the want to help save lives when a staff member is rude and tries to detour you from donating.

Sam and Alice (ESPECIALLY Alice more than Sam) are 2 of the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. This was the worst visit ever. Their attitudes are horrible. It shows that they do not like their jobs and they DO NOT want to be there. Please help find these people another line of profession because this is not their thing. I will definitely be looking for another center to donate and it won't be CSL. These people have ruined it for ALL CSL centers for me. Alexandria & Elvia are the best. They
