Ok I went there today and waiting was long for new donors since theres not appointments but I didn't mind.( Just to keep in mind if you are in a rush). After the waiting the process went smoothly and efficient! I been to other plasma places before and i have to admit CSL has the fastes machines about 30 min total for me. (+800 ml) compared to the other ones that takes between 45 min to 1 hr. I'll be happily coming back soon.
I been attending CLS National City for the past year or so and last two visits when the needle is about to be feel the needle, that unavoidable non major pinch sensation, I was amazed not of any discomfort when the CSL Plasma gentleman by the name of Angel proceed it to place the needle in the vain, thank you for your patience and great customer communication skills and your great technique. God bless us all. SU CASA ES NUESTRO HOGAR. (YOUR HOUSE IS OUR HOME.)
Erase the check up for a "bruise", that is a wasting time, the doctor always will be said "use the another arm". just for that you spend more than 15 minutes waiting, and you need the wait more time because until you wait for "the bruise", many persona can take the line first of you, no matter if they came after you time long ago. I lost 1 hour for checking my bruise.
Jocelyn always attends uncoinsidently and surprisingly I never feel her stick me, most other plasma center staff have hurt me in the past, she's gentle, attentive, and can communicate with clients, she most definitely deserves a raise.
I am so appalled at yhis male mexican phlebotomy guy .1st after i told him my veins are small he tells me he has neen doing this for 4 years. When i told him u have been doing this since 18...im 59 .. so i am going to say avoid this place . The phlebotomy people here have no customer service skills
I went in as a first time walk-in watched a short video then sat in a waiting area for 50 minutes I really didn't mind it helped me because I was nervous was called in with the girl who took my pressure and other test she also took all my information as normal was handed my envelope where payment was excepted I was feeling happy went in for my Physical like expected the male nurse reads me my info address and more everything was completely different the lady before had intentionally entered that address eve
Bait and switch masters. Offer after offer bonuses come then corporate claims they are the same offer. ?Oops? we sent again!- CSL?s signature jingle- how many respondents were there? This issue bait and switch on a grand scale if you ask me! Disingenuous offers, and cheap incentives to come in make CSL a LAST CHOICE for plasma donations
This CSL location has gone down hill. I have donated many times over the past 4 months, today I go in and they have new machines. The new machines are awful, they are slow and take forever. The old ones are much better. Not to mention I always received $50, today they put $47 dollars on my card. Steer clear of this place, I will never go back.
This is the slowest center I've been to. Not sure why. They will have you standing in the Donor line for two hours. It's 125.00 for the first 8 visits after that keep it moving something this center has not yet learned. I got here at 2:14pm and it's 4:00pm...im just now sitting in a chair. It's very clean though. The employees seem nice but the wait is terrible. Updated 8/10/22: Got here at 10am still in the Donor line at 12:20pm. They could at least have some seats if they're gonna make you wait instead o
CSL is the Best Place to Donate. Quick Reliable Service. Waiting is easy with Chairs and intake is quick. Time is takes to donate is relatively short. The Staff is awesome and the Clinic is very nice. I'm a Happy Donor.
If you want to sit around indefinitely with absolutely no idea what's going on at any given time this is the place for you. I've been sitting here for an hour and a half. Some staff members are walking back and forth aimlessly, others seem confused and some are just standing around doing nothing. I have the feeling like I won't be getting anything done here today for quite a while longer if at all. This just seems like a total waste of time on my part. All plasma donation centers can't operate so poorly or
Usually I have no issues besides the waiting. But today I left feeling frustrated. I was stuck with the needle and it felt weird but I kind of shrugged it off. As I'm continuing to donate the cuff seems like it's on pretty high and my hand starts to go numb. I let the staff know and another employee comes over to adjust the needle but in the process he presses a button on the machine that starts a pump and instead of the machine working correctly my BLOOD starts to fill the plasma bottle. The machine never
What a great experience from the front office to the pheblomist These ladies are Fantastic Very efficient staff always have A great smiles very knowledgeable. I was surprised when I found out that there end of the week was Friday for 2 donations for the second stipend That doesn't make any sense Sunday should be the the day of the week we're the last stipend should count Plus also it stated an extra 10 dollars when you donate more in August then July Should clarify this to the donors Ty Marc
I was allowed to skip the line to be seen at screening and This new employee to this center tane is pretty rude seemed to care more about the music and singing along instead of having good or even decent customer service I approached with a regular tone ask how's she doing but that wasn't enough to rid the attitude til we got around to a few laughs but my statement still applys she sent me to get checked out by the nurse when I just done so before her screening me and she said i was acting like a dick all
False advertising on the website says first time donor can get up to $700 in select locations when I put my location it said this went in and they said it's only $500 but they have a poster outside saying the contrary and all the girl said I don't make up the prices do you still want to donate?! lol well with that attitude no I don't want to i literally took a picture of the poster outside.
So far so good. I'm a new donor here but not new to donating plasma. I wanted to leave a bad review on the CSL Plasma in KANSAS, but chose not to because I've seen you can get black listed in the plasma community just for leaving a bad review .(*cough Grifols) This center has restored my hope in donating plasma again. Kansas in 2019 took only 30 seconds to look at my arms and saw tattoos and told me there's no way I can donate, they didn't even put on a tourniquet and have me pump my fist or anything. I wa
I like this location it pays well the staff is friendly the only complaint is that on Google it states that they're open on Sundays which is incorrect I just literally spent my last on bus ride to donate only to find out they were closed only reason I went was because Google said open... now I gotta walk 1 hour to get home l.. thanks google
Do not come to this location the staff is not trained properly they move fast and do not pay attention to what they are doing if you feel afraid or uncomfortable the management does not care they will cancel your appointment with no alternative you either donate with the person who sits you down or you don't donate this is definitely a chop shop all they care about is getting plasma your safety is not important here. The manager Mayra is rude and does not listen to patients. They use the same gloves on ever
I love coming to this location because the staff is so amazing I don't know everyone?s name but Stephanie , Jocelyn, Tonay and Angelica are remarkable. I never dread coming in to donate bc I know that i am always in great hands . Will be coming here as long as the staff is there . Thank you CSL
Awesome place. No false advertisments here. Anyone giving this place a 1 star review probably needs psychological counseling because I have been donating here since Jan 2021 and still donate at least once a month and have had nothing but great experiences. Occasionally there would be someone having a psychological disorder attack.... but hey, not CSL's fault and I sort of expect such behavior in such an area. I have never been to any other plasma donation center, due to the fact that I am satisfied with
It's a great place I have been there four times and it has been great nice staff and clean environment great location
Waste of time, i made an a appointment at 4 and was told they don't take appointments from the app.. very rude front desk. I'll take my blood elsewhere
My overall experience has been phenomenal. Every time I visit, the staff are kind, courteous and positive. They always welcome me every time I walk through the doors and thank me as I leave. I couldn't ask for any better phlebotomists. I would highly recommend everyone to try donating if you are capable. It is a great experience and getting paid is a bonus. I would rate my experience 10/10!
They treat me right I like there staff fast and easy process!
My first donor process was amazing and was long (as expected) but that's alright, that always happens for first time donors so make sure you have a few hours to spare if coming in as a new donor. I've also completed my new donor bonuses by now and got all $500. I'm a transfer from a different plasma company and I had a seamless transfer. They gave me a new donor number, did the physical, and did my vitals then I was off to the floor! They didn't ask for further verification of my medical conditions from my
Just here to prevent others making the same mistakes I did. They don't accept first time donors till 10am. Have ID/DL, Proof of residence AND physical copy of Social Security. You will not be able to move forward if you don't have all 3. I went in on a Sunday, The 2 Ladies that helped me were nice but they both took a while to help me at the front desk since they were multitasking with helping on taking others vitals.
The woman who goes by the name of ? Karoline G.? is immensely professional, friendly and has incredible work ethics. She's consistently been of great service every time I donate. She's very kindhearted and skill-full, she's one of the individuals who is really great at getting the stick to draw blood in on her first try in comparison to other employees. She consistently checks in on the comfort of patients and it's very much helpful through the process. She has leads by example and definitely deserves a pro
I have been going to the facility for a while and I earn points which build up because I didn't donate in the last month they started to deduct my points. That's surely makes me want to come back when u short people their hard earned points. They never consider the situation they just assume. I probably won't return after this treatment
not far from the freeway, easy access. rarely have I had to stand in a line with more than three people in front of me. clean. I am always greeted by the staff when I walk in the door. I watch them carefully clean the desks in-between each patient, including everything each patient touches. the only time patients take cuts to the front are those who were sent from the desk to communicate with either nurses or given verbal updates regarding their health in donating from the manager. rarely have I had prob
This is the plasma center that my husband and I always go to donate and we have received nothing but the best care from Ashley H. She is AMAZING at her job and I believe she deserves the world. She's caring and very comfortable to be around. Overall, lines can get long so just plan to wait on a busy day and I would recommend bringing headphone so you can relax and a sweater if you get cold easily.
I always have a great experience everytime I come here. Some days the wait can get a little long but no more than 30 minutes to get on a chair in my experience. Ashley H and Roy/Royce? are amazing! I always feel comfortable with them as my phlebotomist. Keep it up!
Had me wait 3.5 hours to tell me they can't allow me to donate because of a scar that looked like a scratch.
If you can go somewhere else, do it. This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. First of all, the wait times on Google are lies. I came here when it said "not very busy" and waited for 2 hours. The whole time I waited I checked again multiple times and it still said the same thing. I was finally called in to donate, and ended up sitting in the chair for over 40 minutes before I was finally hooked up for my plasma draw. The employees were busy disconnecting people instead of going back
Fast service and friendly staff. I wasn't aware my first time but just a heads up, new donors have to come 2 hours before closing because it's a longer process to register. Example: before 5pm on weekdays. Caroline was very helpful when it was time to pump and explained the whole process very smoothly. The process goes super quick after the first donation, you're able to do the questionnaire through the app and go straight to take your vitals. There can be a wait sometimes depending how busy, so plan accord
Friday (3/ 29/25) donated and half way through it wasn't returning. Tech tried to adjust the needle. Needle felt deep and my upper arm felt like it was swelling. The tech blow out my vein and was pumping the return under my skin. I developed a very very large bruise measure 9X5(will add photo) Monday (4/1/25) pm call CSL and explain the bruise and if I can donate with the bruise. I was told yes.. just use my other arm. (Sweet!) Not one word about 2 inches. Tuesday (4/2/24) I go to CSL in national city.
Best place to donate blood. There is an extremely handsome lad named Armando who gives all the ladies butterflies there, and rightfully so.
Went there 5 months ago. Donated 5 times got $100 each time. It was a better experience than octoplasma in ocean beach. But lines were still long af sometimes. It dtake me 2.5-3 hrs for the whole process on average due to long line.Nurse for the physical and most nurses were nice and professional tho. One guy put it in needle wrong once and i have some very noticable veins smh, luckily a female nurse fixed it
I actually had a good experience as a first time donor here and the process went smoothly and fast but I'm extremely disappointed in the new donor fees that they didn't mention to me until right before I was about to donate. For December new donors get $525 for the first 5 donations and then you become a regular donor. I would wait to donate here until it's actually worth it. I know that like two months ago it was $1000 for 8 donations and November was $825 for 8 donations. Really disappointing for a single
Place is clean, staff is awesome & there's barely any wait time. Aside from being turned away for my third donation because my temp was 99.6, this place is fabulous. I thought they would take into account that I just walked there in the heat but that didn't happen. I told her I'd wait until I was cooled off in the waiting area, she refused, saying it's policy. That was frustrating but I have to understand.
Things are Improving Here. Shout out to Ismael the Man. He changed things for me after one visit I have not stopped coming since. Rachel makes me happy ... The Staff has been Great. May God bless the Staff and Continue to change things Around for 2024. ???? BlaxicanTheTraveler
My sister just left that center right now. CSL had wrong documentation on her piercings and tattoos so she wasn't able to donate. That is not the problem, as she's walking out, the staff followed her to the door and then the security guard started saying things to her. She was sending me a video and the security started calling my sister names and telling my sister ?Yea keep recording, I have all of your information? There is no reason why CSL should be sharing personal information with the security. That i
Absolute joke, app doesn't make appointments. Walked over an hour here to be told that and that I can't even make an appointment in person. How are you still in business? Do not come here I wouldn't let them stick a needle in my arm when they can't even make an appointment.
Shout out to Angel. For sure the smoothest donation experience. He was super cool and I didn't even feel the needle.
Long wait every single time. I've used other donation centers and can usually get in and out in about an hour. Out of 4 visits I've never been able to get out in less than 2.5 hours. The first 8 visits pay pretty well, but that value greatly decreases with time spent waiting in line or in the donation seat. Poorly staffed.
I arrived at 11:30 am. 4 HOURS LATER AND I STILL HAVENT DONATED. I'm not sure why it takes so long especially if I got to jump the line as a first time donor, but they still make you wait in the donation beds and first donors go last, or from what I saw they go last today I was asked to leave while I was donating plasma, because the lead phlebotomist told got scared that I asked her for a piece of paper that dictates my posture while donating. Then when I called in for a manager they refused to speak to me
Thanks to all the employees at CSL Plasma National City! It's always nice to see friendly/familiar faces when making a donation. It's always cool when Ismael greats me and other donors by name! Thanks again for everything! See you soon for Veterans Thursday.
Clean place, friendly staff, easy process. They do provide snacks & water if you need it. Try to seek a staff member that does well with poking. You get $100 your first 5x after that they cut it in half depending on your weight. Waiting time is normally 10-15mins and donating process is about 45mins to an hour. So if you plan on going give yourself at least an 1hr 30 to spare. First timers it will take 3-4 hours.
Garbage location, don't waste your time. Everyone is training, no one knows how to do their job. Plenty of people standing around though, they look well staffed. Save your hours of time, go to a different plasma center. Doesn't matter if you watch your protein, hemacrit, hydration, temperature, etc. They rile you up with their inefficient operations, techniques, and untrained staff then act surprised when your pulse is up or blood pressure after hours of waiting only to get turned away. Every time you come,
Professional staff, service is generally quite fast, with less than 1.5 hours between walk-in time to walk-out time. Clean, strike facility, overall. The only (and somewhat major) downside with the facility is their unconventional operating hours. Since they close at 4:00pm, during the summer months, when the sun sets after 8:00, this facility will be closing during the mid-afternoon, long before many other businesses close. Pay structure as of 2022: a flat payment of $50 per donation for a150lb donor, with
Phlebotomist don't change gloves after each client they said it's protocol to just use hand sanitizer on latex gloves rather then changing gloves for donors safety? that's crazy, would not recommend this place
The staff were fast friendly funny and efficient. First time patients get to skip the line. I thought that was a good change since my last visit in 2015.
Worst experience ever! I told them, i used to live here and I didnt have no proof address. I was only here visiting. The managers is controling doesnt know the difference high voice and low voice. This CSL isnt sympathetic for donors needs and not understanding. The front desk staff misinterpreted words "like was or were", because "English" their first language. This place is trash no class.
Everyone here is amazing. You are greeted right as you walk in the door and walk out. Despite their hours, this place is gold standard. I've been to so many plasma places where the employees looked and acted like they hated their job, some felt unsanitary? but this one- you'll find nothing but smiles and uplift. Speaking of being sanitary, this center is by far the cleanest and most hygienic. The pay for the first 8 donations is the best you'll be able to find in san diego, believe that! There's many more r
I love this center, the staff is friendly professional, & very well trained, The Phlebotomist Angel is great. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to donate. I love being a full time single mom of 3 kids and a part time hero by providing my plasma for life saving people in need.
Absolutely amazing staff. Roys, Jasmine, and briana k, unfortunately those are the only names I remember. Nonetheless, they handled everything with smiles and positive vibes. Very knowledgeable. Thank you for being heroes that wear scrubs and not capes??
Amelia got my vein on the first try. This is my 4th visit, and has never happened before. Good job Amelia!.
If you can go some where else do it. They tell you that you will be receiving a certain amount of money when you donate 8 times withing the first 45 days but what they don't tell you is that if they decide to change the rate and you are let's say on your 3rd visit out of the 8th , your rate will change too. Doesnt matter if you are in still in the cycle period.
Update Opens 12/14/21 800 number directed me here just to find this. Seriously need to update their website. Website is very unhelpful.
I always go to donate blood here, quick and easy process, satisfied overall with everything sometimes a wait tho. Very professional, friendly, chill and outgoing staff espically Karolyn G anytime i go i prefer her to work with me, very skilled Phlebotomist and cool person. I recommend this plasma donating location to anyone
Would give 0 stars if I could. Horrible place. Wait time is long and told me I can come in 7 am and then sent me home because their system isn't registering new donors. That's already twice I get sent home after waiting hours to be registered.
Very clean , professional and friendly staff . First time donor . They explain everything to you very well . Making sure that your in good health before you donate .
Been going to the National City location for awhile, pleasant Staff, very clean, never had any problems, they're always ready to answer any questions
Worst service ever staff are slow and not enough line to give plasma always backed up
Staff is friendly, courteous, professional, and they take their jobs very seriously with utmost responsibility. Been donating twice a week for three months now.
Donation as I'm typing. Love the customer service in this place, the AC went off and they are fanning us to make sure we're ok. In addition, Ashley has a very light touch while inserting the niddle, didn't feel a thing.
Negative comments are B.S. the staff are extremely professional. I wouldn't tolerate it anyway. They go out of there way to maintain a professional atmosphere. Garbage that's BS very clean place.
They are the worst. Military personnel can't even donate. I live on the military base which is only a 10 minute drive but the zip code for armed forces is different from everybody else. Still said I can't donate due to a different zip code and I have to go get a P.O. Box personally to donate which is outrageous !
Terrible place lazy staff unprofessional and will waste your time
I love this place every one in the staff are so kind and professional!! Mayra the supervisor and Ismail just to name a few they are Awesome! Great place I been coming since they opened this place all ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? for them
Staff was amazing and fast. Very helpful and professional.
Jhodane was horrible. Ripped my needle out and wrapped my arm so tight it's losing circulation. Very snooty and rude. Will not be returning ever again.
Great place to donate I was greeted the moment I walked in and was escorted at every stage of the process. They must be love what they do everyone was so nice. Michelle.... her laugh ??
The phlebotomist are all right but the front staff are uneducated unprofessional and very unaware of the type of environment or atmosphere they're providing for example they start having really personal conversations about their weekends and how much fun they had it's just so unprofessional it gives an atmosphere of high school gossip I highly suggest you guys hit the books again and learn some professionalism and work ethic
Made an appointment in the app. Drove all the way there just to be told they "don't do appointments" and can't see me. What? Get it together
Some good phlebotomist and clean center. With that being said my issue is with the poor management. Has a feel like nobody wants to be there, low morale starts at the top.
My favorite phlebotomist is Camille, always gets the vein and never any pain! The rest of the employees are very polite and keep it professional
Out of all the places this spot takes the most plasma and gives you a little less money then other places so if you're planning on becoming an avid donor this probably isn't the best spot because donating frequently can cause you to get sick easier.
Nurses brag about taking vodka shots on breaks then going back to work after. Plasma donations should be safe I wouldnt risk them on my veins. Very unprofessional
Employees are very professional, friendly, center is clean, and most importantly my arm hasn't bruised yet (after 7 visit's). I highly recommend this location.
They bait and switch your donor fees randomly during your donations to pay you less than agreed upon amount... Becareful with this center... They are NOT reputable or honest at ALL....
Great place to get some extra cash while helping others in need of life saving plasma. A win win. You just need a clean bill of health.
Angel was awesome well experienced super friendly and the best person to poke you if needles get you nervous ??
You would think they would have more doctors working I've been waiting for an hour and see slowness
The manager was very helpful and professional...and the staff are very friendly. the water faucet is nice and cold and refreshing.
takes a total 5 1/2 hrs just to check a new person in , take vitals, & and the blood draw? W/ so many people working?? what a joke
Love this place everybody is amazing, they make you feel very welcome since you open the door, the front people are super friendly and answer all my questions. Thank you guys!!!!
The place is organized, clean and staff are well trained and friendly! I like going there and recommend this place for sure.
Great staff so friendly and usually fairly quick
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
