Most times the service provided is pretty fair. The machines are newer and the beds aren't uncomfortable. The entry process is mostly smooth although at times the lines can get pretty extremely long. My qualms with them are completely in their over the phone encounters. Specifically the most recent one. I called to check on specifically how many people were in the main line at that moment and I was met with stiff opposition and unwavering reluctance to answer that simple question. The individual who answere

I'm wary of trying any other location, these guys are doing great. For the most part this donation center is on it. Only reason I'm doing 4 stars instead of 5 - there's one phlebotomist who's bruised me twice, one of which actually caused me to be deferred for over a month, so I always get a little anxious when I have her, but last time she stuck me right and all was good. Muhammad, Jess, and everyone else I've had have been very good about sticking me and checking on me. The ladies (it's always been ladies

Wait time was horrible. I got in @10 am on a Friday, didn't leave until almost 4. They never have enough people working, you'd think they'd be used to the busyness by now. 6 nursing stations but only 1 nurse smh will not ever be returning

Security yelled at me because I almost went through the wrong door after closing. I didn't even tough the door. It costs $0 to be nice. He should also probably start wearing that mask again to spare us all.

I'm only leaving a one star review because the waiting situation it wouldn't be so bad if we had a chair to sit in would you expect us to wait in the line for hours? Is it possible I can bring my own chair? you know like a folding chair

Staff is super friendly I especially appreciate Garrett! He always gets things done quickly and painless! I just wish CSL Plasma paid a little more.

Heres my Code for new people "B5LE5S5VJI" you need to donate successfully twice and we both get some nice extra in our pockets lets go guys ??

This place should be more organized and have more friendly staff the management is not very good I seen someone sitting down in line because the line was so long to get to the back the manager told the guy you can not donate if you don't stand up like what kind of management is that get some chairs for those who are in a line that's long to or open up the bays needed to help people get to the back if it's not a line when you walk in it's a line to get in the back! They just think cause people need money or

The staff is awesome. And at least one of them has more balls than a security guard they used to have, like, 4-7 months ago. Also, anybody that complains about the wait times doesn't seem to understand that everybody likes virtually free money. Don't take those reviewers seriously.

You can let them know you don't wanna be stuck by a certain person

I am so thankful for the patience and hard work of the employees here. I never have any trouble. They get you in and out as quickly as possible. Very clean and hard working. Always busy, those guys work so hard. I come here often and they are always steady working and keeping the flow moving to get people in and out.

That is a horrible place to donate they was Harassing me about my glasses when i know to take them off in the back. I've been doing it for years and obviously, they are not getting the proper training on how to speak to people out of 8 years of donating They have never bothered me about my glasses till I went to to the back. The new people they hired in the front at the front desk was very rude and disrespectful to me I'm going to call the higher ups and report them I wish I would have got their name but if

If I could give a half a star I would, the front desk attendant (Regina) was very rude and clearly made several of the donors uncomfortable and upset. This woman should not be in a public facing position.

To me this place Is super nice and super clean the line gets a little busy but it is okay fast and staff are very kind ??

Only two people screening during peak hours and last time I was here whomever bandaged my arm did not do a good job I bled through before I left the parking lot it takes more time to get through the line than it does too donate update now they pull me out of line to have my height recheck so 9 people could get ahead of me after waiting in line for an hour

These people DO NOT have their stuff together. Rude staff. Two female nurses calls to confirm my information & the next male nurse tells me everyone is wrong. I tried explaining but he told me to have a nice day & walks out. SUPER RUDE! It took 2 hours just to do the screening because they couldn't get it right. Won't go back because now I don't trust them to do the process correctly.

Absolutely the most unprofessional plasma center I have ever been to I waited in line not the vitals line but for a bed for over 3 hours WOW!!!!!!!!! Never have I had to wait that long to donate plasma there are better centers then this one DO NOT DONATE here!!! Also the security guard the one that sits up there has a power trip unholster ur weapon in a joking manner is not something to joke about Iam prior service millitary u dont NOT joke about ur weapon his cleet should be taken from him

Nothing ready for the next day always there nice employees but never have people too work her boss man needs too pick up his work duties it's ridiculous that you have too wake up early too be in the line and then too wait 30 minutes for them too get there things ready como on

Everything was fine til one of the staff wanted to throw his weight over nothing. Got deferred for the day over prescription sunglasses that I had off when I got called to be seated to donate. But, because he had to "ask me" TWICE, he had me deferred for the day. Wanted to wait in the lobby for my gf to finish, he then threatened to call police on me. He doesn't want to be professional, doesn't want to talk/listen, just having a damn power trip cause he wanted to, and I happened to be in his cross hairs

Some staff members are completely rude and disrespectful and act like they don't even want to work there and do their job! Nor do they care about customers. And I've been coming here for years since 2011. They have no heart and no sense of compassion for customers whatsoever. Will not be returning!

The staff at every CSL I've been to have always been very kind, professional, and thorough. The only thing I don't like is the discontinuation of the iGive Rewards program with nothing new to replace it.

The location is great and the staff have always been friendly! But waiting nearly 3 hours to donate is a lot to ask of people. It makes me not want to come back if it's going to continue. It doesn't seem to improve either. The new machines are way better but what use if it seems the times have gotten worse waiting?

Staff is awesome , very kind Place is very clean, have new machines.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I do this out of being kind and to spend a little downtime in a productive way and the nurses here are always extremely disrespectful. I get different stories and issues every time I'm here. You won't get my business again. Thank ur attitude driven nurses.

I've been coming here for a while off and on a few years! The process has improved in getting your questions answered for the donation process by phone! They have updated the building and the machines used too take plasma! As for the phlebotomist Miss Lisa is exceptional I never feel the insertion of the needle when she does it 5*!!!

This place actually is not that bad, you have to understand who comes to these places and why they are there. Once you take those into consideration its honestly not horrible. Why this place gets 1 star from me is the associate "Regina." She is a complete a-hole, rude, mean, and the perfect example of I know more than you. She wouldn't take my pinky because she hadn't done one in 17 years and isn't going to start now... she is horrible. She then told me to sign something and told me that she couldn't use my

Way to few people doing vitals. Line can be 30 people at a time at 1pm on weekdays, but the back line has only a few people in it

This was my first time donating plasma. I expected the worst. I checked the app for the preferred times to come in. Getting situated took a few hours, donation itself took close to an hour, and I still feel like the entire process was very well done. I'm happy with my experience today and will be back.

The experience was short and the staff were amazingly good..

I went back in there after years of not going. They asked me if I had anything to eat this morning and I said no so they gave me a whole Powerade to drink and had me go get me something to eat then it came part for the time To take my blood pressure and my heartbeat and my heartbeat was 102 I had to wait 10 minutes and then went back. It was one 102 again!!!!!!!!!! So basically, I missed out on $100 yesterday and I know the reason why my heartbeat was so fast is because they made me drink that whole Powerad

All I can say is this is my go to when I want to donate. I haven't donated in over 10 years but the only thing that changed is the machines are much faster. The staff is fantastic and the process was amazing!

Slow not enough people working or just walking around and not screening people takes forever

Completely messed my arm up. It has bruising all over it.

First let me start off by saying I WAS a fan of this location. Over the years I've had great, good, and bad experiences here. Mostly good! I've had several awful experiences with a staff lead named Virginia. I don't know if this woman just doesn't like her job or what but she's a vial woman and her attitude is atrocious for no reason at all. I cannot believe this woman made team lead. Maybe she bullied her way there too. I've heard her call white people crackers before to other employees as well as calling

I started coming here many years ago to make some extra money, and this center definitely grew on me! After a few visits I started to build some relationships with the staff here and got to know them well as people. The wait times can be long, yes, but that's when I just put on an audiobook, podcast, or some great music while I was waiting to donate. The donation process was painless as well. They have some great phlebotomists here who can help you even if you have small or crooked veins. If you can don

Could not have gone worse. If you're trans don't even bother coming here. I got sent through the entire process three times because they kept messing up, only for them to finally tell me I couldn't donate because I've had gay sex within 4 months. 3 hours wasted. Their "inconvenience fee" they offered me was $15 and I can't even get it because my phone registration never finished because I was not allowed to donate. Nicole tried her best to get everything sorted for me, but no one else seemed to have a clue

This is the worst experience for donating.. the woman a very rude and make people sit waiting to get hookup or unhooked while they giggle around laughing and playing.. the person in the vest which I assume is a lead just sits there doing nothing..its horrible that you treat people like this and dont pay them but a small fraction of what you get paid for the plasma I tell everyone not to go here until the big management is changed.. I post on fb,x, ig and will continue to do so until things are changed... si

Extremely professional and kind. Seamless process every time. 10 stars....

I will never go to this location or anyone, for that matter. They have people with bed bugs come in and don't care, mistreat people and see junkies everywhere. Don't go, period. They don't pay you enough for the disrespect and long wait hours out of your day. Also, don't give out the new don't fees when you're a new donor and poor staff; please, I don't recommend it. Bio Life3 is better to pay for sure, knowing they get up to 20,000 for each bottle we give or more, depending on the buyer.

I appreciate how they get us through there even when it's busy. I have a very very tricky vein and everywhere else doesn't listen to me about it, they actually listened and it has made the experience so much quicker. I haven't been displeased since coming here.

The one on 50th and macarthur is better, I have small veins and no one can find it nor took the time to find it, just told me don't come back. I tried the one on 50th and they were able to find a vein. Been there twice already.

My Mommy donates here and she always says how she loves all of the employees and she even knows there names lol my mommy has never met a stranger??

Spent most of my birthday here cuz they pick and choose. They purposely just acts like you haven't been here for a while knowing it takes only 2 hours not 3 or 4 or 5 hours worse place to be at honestly.. and they'll cancel your appointment if you tell ?em that you been waiting for more than two hours?

I'll never give my plasma here again. There's other places that save lives using the same process. I've been coming here for over 5 years. Never had much of an issue with the staff until today. The phlebotomist stuck me wrong today and blamed it on me. Made me feel like I was an inconvenience the two times she came to adjust me. When I spoke with the manager about the issue, he gave me the most insincere apology and just smirked at me. The whole time just nodding and rolling his eyes. And when I called him

Csl employees have zero sense of urgency and deliberately talk and goof off while youre waiting and csl deletes your hard earned points you were supposed to be able to exchange for cash. If you have to c the nurse they send you to the back of the line every time. Ive been using csl long before it was csl in the 90s. This company is the worst. Go to biolife. Im done with this company. For good.

Went in for my first time, spent about an hour or so getting checked in. Whenever doing the health screening I was told they can not take my plasma because a previous donor decided to throw a fit. Disappointed that if this is an issue in your establishment it should have been addressed in the 50+ donor check in. A simple agreement in the check in would solve the issue entirely. However that's not the case and I am unable to donate here because of tattoos I expressed I did not have a concern about. If things

Most of the time this place has the longest lines and i dont understand why they only use 2 aisles only when they have 3 aisles.. i literally have timed myself and its taking 2-1/2 to 3 hours to donate every single time when you guys clearly state it takes 1-2 hrs. Its very upsetting and time consuming. If you guys would increase staff then people would donate alot more including myself..smh its been like this since you guys opened..please FIX!!!! I would like to help and donate the most i can!!! These pict

I'm not sure why some of the reviews are so bad. I've been going here twice a week for a couple months now and I've had no issues. The staff is not overly nice, but I don't think they need to be. They do their jobs well and have to deal with plenty of people who make their jobs harder than they should be. As for the cleanliness of the place, it could be a little better, but they do clean regularly, they just have a high volume of donors and many of those donors don't follow the rules about where to dispose

I went to donate after work on a Monday. I've donated at this location many times and it's always a different experience. The front staff are courteous and so kind. The nurses are helpful and patient. The phlebotomist are rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. They choose to stand around and flirt with each other instead of helping the donors. The last time I donated a new hole was created. This caused bruising. The machine beeped continuously and my arm was on fire. I had asked them to disconnect me at t

They are so rude there. They act like they are above you or something. I went with my mother and they didn't put her needle in right and when someone came to fix it Tanya absolutely messed her arm up and called her a baby while doing it. Her arm was bloodied and it scabbed for weeks. You guy's suck and need to take a look in the mirror because you all are nobody's and it shows in the way you treat people.

I read some reviews on this place and a lot of them were pretty horrible and negative but against my inhibitions I gave it a shot and am thankful that I did. All of the staff I ran into there were very professional. Not a single one was rude to me in the slightest way. I was a first time donor and the process moved along very quickly considering that. It took about 3 hours overall (as a first time donor) and I only sat in a chair waiting for MAYBE 15 minutes minus the introduction video you have to watch. D

This is my first time selling plasma. By looking at other reviews, I was expecting to see a terrible first food restaurant customer service. Well it was not. Everyone was nice. It was a good restaurant customer service. I arrived here at 6:58am on Sunday, and left here at 10:25am. Maybe because I'm a new seller, there was no "standing and waiting" time. But, "sellers" are usually poor people. (including me) Be prepared to see bad behavior. In my case, someone was laughing really loudly at his bay every fe

They make up there own rules here. Someone brought a kid to sit in the lobby and they were literally about to call the police on her because she asked to see the sign. This was after the FACT THAT SHE TECH TOLD HER IT WAS A SIGN. I've never seen lack of accountability so in you face.

I have been coming here off and on since College for extra cash. It had always been a great experience or not too bad. However that has changed with the recent construction. I have tried to be understanding and accept that it would be temporary but today it took over 2 hours just to get my vitals screened. That is only the first step. After 4 hours to donate the payout just isn't worth it. I would advise anyone to try a different donation center. They pay less but the time you save is worth it.

Very professional. they always wipe down every bed and everything else as a matter of fact. They changed their gloves constantly before and after every new donor. Almost every person I've ever met there including the donors was nice very rarely do you get somebody in a bad mood. I love the fact my plasma is used to help people And don't know how I'd made it through the last year without the extra income.

This place is great! I went twice and going again. I don't donate regularly ,because I get sick easily. The people are great they wipe down the seats every time. The first time I went I threw up and 1 worker and a nurse stayed by my side til I felt better. They gave juice after and I barely gave any plasma ,but still payed me the full 100 dollars.while they set you up they talk to ya and make sure you feel comfortable and make you're okay with the needle inside your arm

This place is trash!!! They promote 50 for first donation and 65 on the second. I come in on the days they tell me I can then all of a sudden it's 50 both donations because the week "starts over on sat!" This place is bogus and the wait is ridiculous!!! Don't use this location

Amazing staff here! I was unable to finish donating because of how I felt but the staff treated me so nicely and took care of me! They didn't treat me any different not being able to finish & encouraged me to not give up and try again! Highly recommend this place for donating!

Reading over the reviews I see a lot of negative reviews. I see a lot of people saying the staff are rude, or saying they are racist to non black people. As a white female, I have been treated with nothing but respect by the staff there, they are always so nice and sweet to me and everyone there. If your looking for a place to put a little extra money in your pocket and help at the same time, I would recommend this place.

I've never had a bad experience here to be honest. I've been going for about a year or longer now. I won't go to another CSL because the people here are my favorite!

This place literally steals from people. I only weigh 130 lbs and as a result get paid much less than my 350 lb roommate. The reasoning for this is that because I weigh less I'm going to give less plasma. But pay close attention to the amount of plasma in the container when you get done. You'll notice that the container is completely full, just as it would be for a much larger person. And you will not be compensated for being drained of way more plasma than they should have taken.

Staff repeatedly harassed me two days in a row over my anxiety disorder and claimed that I couldn't donate because of it. Purposefully rejects people to refuse to pay people and gaslights them. The staff is rude and crave meaningless information about you which most people don't carry around with them.

Today i was stuck several times, which normally wouldve been fine but the ones who stuck me were really rough once the needle was in. And when i expressed that i was running out of time, one of the young women just completely ignored me. I wont name names and I understand that this job is stressful and probably exhausting. It really wouldve helped me to know and hear what was happening with my veins, to be acknowledged when i was expressing concern, and to have the people inserting needles be a little more

I waited in line for an hour and a half to be sent home because I was off by HALF of a point!! Not only that, but the staff and the hospitality of this place has gone downhill overtime. Do you better or I'll make sure me and my friends/family find somewhere else to donate.

Went there to support a friend and ended up signing up. The staff are all very competent and knowledgeable -- and very eager to help and answer questions. Like any medical office, some staff are matter-of-fact and others are more talkative, but I am consistently treated very well by everyone. Also, I am not good with needles -- a real baby, but these people are awesome at knowing how to make the experience almost painless. Donating isn't "fun," but if you're going to do it, this is the place.

I've never had a bad experience. Been coming here twice a week since September 2019. Majority of the staff is very friendly, though wasn't too happy with the blonde haired NURSE that didn't know a stye is contagious! Waits aren't usually bad except certain months (like December ??). Just wish they'd pay a little more.

Rode the bus eight miles there yesterday evening, Then walked the last two miles. Just to be told the system was down. I had done the check-in at home, and there was no notice that the system is down on their page. This morning, I am trying to see if the system is back up, but their is no info anywhere online about anything. Their app is still allowing check-ins. Their Facebook page has nothing, Google says, "open." I've been going here several years, but think that I will not bother anymore. This combined

the new braunfels location on the southeast is garbage.....they are slow ass hell and almost purposely take thier time to help...they need new management or sense of urgency to help people in and out.. i would not recommend... find another blood donation place

staff is rude and don't care. my pulse was low but I was never offered to wait a few minutes to see if it regulated. screener then took my pulse again immediately with same result. was then denied the ability to donate that day. when I asked to just sit for few minutes for it to go back to normal was told I already had that option when I sat with the screener. I told the nurse how it happened and was basically accused of trying to start trouble..

Awesome experience! The staff was very kind, timely, organized, and considerate! I would definitely recommend this location!

Lisa was best at sticking my needles...I leterally felt nothing. Many thank yous.

I always had a great donation experience. Everyone is friendly and professional. Amy is absolutely the best phlebotomist, she always gets my veins everytime! 10/10

Been coming here for over a year and there is constantly 2/6 booths open. Don't bother coming here if you're in a hurry. Almost like they take their time so you wanna leave.

My first time donating plasma was good other than I fainted but I didn't eat right was why. Second time, I got called, and was told everything was good for me to donate again. I take out time, and make the trip for nothing. I got the run around when I got there. I cleared everyone minus the nurse who said I needed see the physician who comes Thursday's. I asked what tome? Apparently no one knows. I will NOT be donating again. I don't have time or money to waste on this anymore if people don't have the decen

I donated at this location for many years and all for one of their employees to ban me from donating EVEN tho I was simply talking to the person next to me about how upsetting it is how these employees treat their patients. These people think they have the right to take away your freedoms so if you donate here just know you can't talk you will waste multiple hrs of your life and you may not even get to donate.

I posted a review about a week ago and just from reading these reviews they need too change the employees and management at the new 40th and MacArthur location I waited 45 minutes in a line that never moved I don't know why anyone would even donate at this center I went back too BioLife don't have too wait very long in line

This place is ridiculous...been standing in line for over an hour now just to do vitals check. Have one to two people checking people in and no chairs

Most of the staff here are very nice and helpful! They have a smile on their face, greet you, ask about your day etc., a couple staff members though don't look too happy to be there.

The staff was very rude and unfriendly to my husband. He went in there as a 1st time donor and it's safe to say that was going to be his last. He wanted to go back due to the need for the money he could get for donating but due to the unwelcoming and rude experience he went through the first time; he decided it isn't worth going. My suggestion to them: don't hire ghetto people from shady neighborhoods and people of poor quality.....

Employees are rude and have no sense of urgency or care to provide fasts service. On my first visit one of the phlebotomist was ranting in front of the donors saying ? I don't care if there's 50 people waiting im not doing $h*t I don't care if they wait all day I'm not doing everyone else?s job!? N it showed i was there over 5 hours and when I complained about her I was told ?oh it's ok she's just frustrated? I've been here 3 times and each time the wait is extremely long all while the employees walk around

On this day this company was eager to take my plasma. Absolutely didn't mention the fact that they were having technical difficulties and weren't going to be able to pay. I had to call and figure out why I wasn't paid. Very misleading and kind of shady. Screw whatever bills I wanted to catch up on. Right?

I got stuck by Mia an it hurt more than usual an she kinda threatened to not give service an wanted to take the needle out... like come on also the attitude was not necessary. Other than that awesome facility!

My wife loves the place she goes here at least 4 times a months. Loves the workers and the respect level she receives everytime. This is the place to go. No hidden rules about what will cause you to lose your pay

I asked Richelle if she was new because it really seemed like she was and she said she had been there for 8 years ??. It seems like everyone here lacks enjoyment for their job and takes it out in the donors.

The whole place was pretty grubby. It reminded me of an old, old school locker room. It smelled of urine and was overall just a dirty place. Sadly I was there when they first opened up in the morning. You'd think that's when things would be clean. But that was definitely not the case. The attendants were rude and seemed confused about anything that was outside the realm of a scripted answer. I did my donation but won't ever return to this place. I left there feeling the need to jump into a vat of Lysol.

Dont waste your time with this place. If you do come make sure you have no where to be in a couple hours and prepare to spend 3 to 4 hours. They care more about their breaks, lunches and complaining about how long the line out front is than they do their patients! Oh and They dont listen to the paitent at all so hope nothing goes wrong! Line going out the door only 2 people screening. A few nice and good people but mostly rude and inexperienced

The workers are the rudest people I have ever met!! Especially the lady that runs the evening "new people" i am honestly disgusted. She would race to the doors to purposefully lock people out then laugh in their face at 7 when it closes at 8!!! She had so much attitude she was slamming doors in my face and just being plain rude. I would recommend somewhere else maybe the one thats on the south west side.

Severely understaffed, big "WE'RE HIRING" sign out front but won't rehire someone because of some minor discrepancies that happened almost a decade ago. Staff complains about not having enough help. This, in turn, causes the donation process to be exponentially longer, which causes not only the donors but the staff to be in a bad mood. What was once a 1-2 hour process has turned into a "this might take 4 hours" process due to the understaffing.

Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
