CSL Plasma Peoria, IL

Reviews Summary

The reviews present a mixed but polarized consensus. Many praise friendly, respectful staff and positive experiences, particularly noting cleanliness and professionalism at times. However, frequent complaints highlight severe inefficiency—long wait times (often 2-3 hours), understaffing, and disorganization. Several criticize unprofessional behavior, including staff gossiping or expressing frustration openly. Phlebotomy skills are inconsistent, with some donors reporting painful or failed attempts. While some appreciate the compensation and mission, others deem the time commitment and payout structure unfair, especially for returning donors. The center’s reputation suffers from recurring issues with rudeness and poor management, overshadowing its strengths.

This place has gotten worse and worse. Not sure who is running CSL but I have a major issue. I asked Google what the maximum amount of plasma they can take and it states 880ml and they just took 1014ml from me and now we get paid less. Smh Well, they just got brand new machines so I'm sure they are having the donors pay for those new machines. The staff get paid very little for the work they do and they run short staffed daily. It is an easy $40 if you don't mind waiting a couple of hours but I'm worried t

I have donated at a few places before and always a bad experience. I was so happy to go hear and get a good experience. It almost made me never want to donate again. Thank you guys for making my experience great and I will see you soon again.

I have been a faithful donor for 17 years at different donation sites. I have donated for octapharma ked plasma and csl plasma. I work a full-time job and donate plasma on a regular basis a year ago I stopped donating plasma at CSL in Peoria because of the long lines. So a couple months ago I came in to restart donating. Trying to do my part for the medical world. Every time I come to the CSL plasma in Peoria there are anywhere from 7 to 15 people in line. Now being a full-time employee in the workforce I d

5:15pm Ive been to numerous CSL Plasmas and this one is by FARR the slowest and worst attitude one. Not only do you have to wait anywhere from 1-2 hours just to stand in line to even see a table but some of the employees are very rude and they aren't afraid to say what they wanna say. Walk in 30-40 minutes before close cuz you are a new donor they flip out. Sorry some people have jobs and still struggling to pay bills and the afternoons are the only times we can come in. Like someone tried to give me a defe

EXPECT LONG WAIT TIMES!!!! They replaced their machines March 3. The wait time is around an hour and a half. That is just waiting for a machine They are only operating 8 machines for the center as of March 20th. They are also short staffed. This is for returning donators.

Hesitant to come here after reading all the reviews. Been here a few times now and it's been great so far. Girls are nice and friendly. Never a bad experience.

First of all............. SHOUT OUT TO THE GWORLS Sedia, America, Mikayla, Rose, Keisha, and Hope!!!! Very lovely ladies always a positive experience everytime I donate. Overall, the staff is pretty cool and they get the job done. Only complaint is stanking a$$ donors. I feel like a hygiene check would be beneficial for everyone. Babe if I can smell you, YOU can smell YOU! A bar of soap ain't no more than $2. Hyvee right across the street they got a hygiene section and everything. I'd suggest becoming famil

Worst place I've been to. Though some staff are nice some are not. I was in line early but because of a mis stick by the staff the day prior I had to see the nurse. I was made to get in the back of the line. I had to get out of line because of their mistake. Other places I've donated at put you back in the front. They don't do the figure 8 wrap which is a better wrap than what they do so they can't wrap my arm correctly. Staff don't concentrate on what they are doing. Instead they gossip about other staff m

I read these reviews and was hesitant to go. but i needed the money. my experience was absolutely amazing despite these terrible reviews. Mark was one of the people who first helped me and helped me through the entire process and he was super helpful, positive, and professional. The nurse that did my physical exam so nice, she was quick but thorough and she made sure i didn't have any questions or concerns. The nurse that did my blood and needle insertion was also amazing! i didn't get her name but she was

Let it be known they've got some Damn amateur phlebotomists. Also just learned from the dude (calls himself manager) told me they'll have new machines in march. You guys better get it together! with all these mistakes and you are getting 1.5 trillion off my lifeforce? This business is a Net-negative and the smiling donors are so pretentious. Curse you all!

No wonder that's probably why they're not able To provide saline to there donors. And they pay the least amount, and not to mention if you didn't get paid for a donation and didn't realize immediately then you can't be paid at all??. Till 6 months later I had multiple management and employees. Tell me there is nothing they can do For me Then today 12/03/24 I got paid my 100$ For one of my first donations back in April 2023, The really rude Augi (Is that the piglet From Winnie the Pooh? ) jw But he decided h

The staff is nice there is a wait sometimes but once your in its not bad. When they stick ya you barley feel it

Once again had a perfect Flawless donation in CSL Plasma Peoria Illinois all the staff is courteous professional and friendly the center is as clean as you can get

I wanna recognize the following employee of CSL Plasma her name is Aaliyah. I wanna say that she was very kind, helpful, and enthusiastic. She also seemed like she was dedicated to her job. Thank you for making my donation of plasma a successful and pleasant experience.

Another great experience at CSL Peoria last week. It's always good when the screeners are social and actually talk to you while they are pricking your finger! A new screener named Jen made me feel really comfortable when she started singing the song that came on the over head speaker... Wilson Phillips it was an oldie... Lol I've been going here for a couple years and I haven't had a bad experience yet. The staff is awesome friendly and professional. The facility is very clean. I won't go anywhere else. Tha

I've been donating plasma for years... My experiences have been very positive here. The staff are friendly and professional.Yes at times there is a longer wait than I would like. I know and understand that every person in line has to go through screening and waiting for a seat... You make the decision when you come in the door wether you have the time to wait or not. As far staff overturn you will have that at any business. The manager Holly is wonderful! The way she treats donors and staff with upmost res

I have to say that being patient is a must as the staff is consistently trying handle each individual efficiently and effectively. No matter what there is alot of pressure on them during there jobs especially being around alot of people with good or bad intentions mentally. I see alot of weirdos n that place that come to donate. But always the staff keeps a cool calm demeanor Everytime and work hard to push the lines through as quickly as they can. Yes u can get paid doing this but also check your csl app a

I used to donate in Iowa but when I moved here and tried to donate at this place, I have NEVER been treated so rude in my life!! I ended up leaving because the woman was the rudest person ever. I donated weekly in Iowa because my uncle was saved by plasma donation. I'm trying to find a new place now because this place is a joke. Quit employing rude disgraceful people. Some donors are just trying to help another families save loved ones. SMH ??

I've called corporate and that is pointless. I donated here for 2 years and of course places have their small problems but when the problem continues to get worse and worse until there's ACTUAL problems like this csl has, its no coming back from it. They refused to take the needle out of my arm because I was upset that it took longer to take the needle out my arm (after finishing saline I sat there for 40mins-1hour with the needle in my arm informing them nicely twice about being finished. At this point im

Friendly staff and you get paid to help produce life saving products I think all ppl should do it while being paid the $100 new fee now after the new fee goes down to $40 it isn't worth the time as it takes hours between donating and waiting for a spot to donate.

The staff is wonderful. One or two people seem new and struggle with finding the vein every time but are learning/friendly and get it by the 2nd stick. The 2stars is just from being woefully understaffed. When it takes 3 hours to donate in the middle of the day or even early morning on a weekday, consider hiring more staff. The ones you have now are wonderful but clearly tired and run ragged.

There may be a wait but staff are doing their best with all the staff turn over! They are thorough and always greet you with respect! Jen, Holly and America are my Rock Stars!!

I've donated for years, and have never had as much problems as I did here. They are always short staffed and it takes hours to even get to the back for a chair. And they had neglected to inform me any of the times I've donated that there's a chance I could get deferred due to antibodies in my plasma. Donating the past couple of times could?ve been harmful to me, and they didn't say anything, didn't call either. And because they neglected to inform me of my medical test results, I have been permanently defer

Debbie was incredibly rude to me I won't be back if I could leave no ?s I would

I just wanted to thank the staff at CSL Plasma! I always have a positive experience donating. The employees are dedicated and professional. Crystal and Deb, two of the nurses there, are bubbly and chipper ?? I won't donate anywhere else!

Clean place to donate but the pay at CSL is not so great they pay you the less money for your donations then every donation center in Peoria and all sarounding areas included you get 45$ for your first and Only55$ for the second so if u need the money Go somewhere that pays more

Second time going as a NEW DONOR and they are paying me $45 because I missed the come back date by 1 day... this is why they have terrible stars. I will not be back AT ALL. Go to Talecris and save yourself the time, energy, and also get paid a lot better. Ridiculous and terrible customer service, you could have made an exception for a NEW DONOR. (If I could give 0 stars I would..)

This is subject to review in the future. This month will mark the 5th month that i have been consistently donating plasma here. Staff is extremely professional in many regards. Staff show a high level of consistency, sanitation, and swiftness in certain regards to the procedures. However, this is said not considering that the place is many times of the week and day (( UNDERSTAFFED )). Today is May the 1st. I am very understanding of the fact that the first of the month is a busy time as many people sync the

For some reason I can never get an answer when I call to confirm my return date. This causes problems when I'm trying to drop my daughter off to preschool because if I'm not supposed to go in then she can stay home on the days she isn't feeling it like today. I believe a child as young as mine especially deserves a break from pre school if they are just not in the mood. I don't appreciate calling for over an hour and never getting an answer. There is no way not one person is able to answer the phone for a 2

Great staff. Extra cash for a couple of hours, a couple of times per week. I enjoy every visit. Patience is your best friend here, as it can be busy, and the wait to see staff can linger. Bring a book.

Zero issues and everything was smooth and perfect, the staff was extremely kind and respectful. There was a customer talking about killing because someone else had to say excuse me but other than that, easy visit.

It's a clean place and it was scary. Well you can see. The nurse was very kind.

This place is a straight dump, very unprofessional , the staff was rude , in a hurry, this stupid tech marked my vain with a painful maker as it didn't need to be done and blew my vain , smh as she talked about personal problems that I could care less about , will never go back...

Joy is one of best staff members I've dealt with. Always asks how I'm doing and always does a great stick. She's a key part of the team.

My Husband called today to see if he could come back to donate. Since he was deferred because a machine messed up, which is fine. But the lady who answered the phone, was so rude and hung up on him.She said all the managers are busy. We live a half hour away and she told us to drive there to see if he could donate again. Like who does this, you can't not hang up on customers. We weren't even rude. how does she still have a job.

It seems disorganized today, and today I donated and there was a gray haired guy with glasses very rude. He was irritated he was being sat a donor and not ready. Told me bed was dirty after I sat down. Then had me stand for 5 mins why he complained to another donor and me about to stop sitting people when he wasn't ready. Then was disrespectful to boss because she reprimanded him for making me stand. Guy needs sent home.

I am giving a review for the nurse Crystal that works at the CSL plasma center on Sheridan she is amazing she's kind she's always full of energy and I just feel like she should be noticed.

They can't answer phones then put the phones to busy meaning taken off the hook. Also they need to retrain on how to wrap up after the donation. I was free bleeding after hours of having the bandage on. Morons. Just morons. I'm going to give them months to work on things before I go back again.

So they closed today before 11am due to inclement weather.....it's in the mid 30s and raining! It's not suppose to get bad until later tonight. Today was my $60 donation so they better do something about tomorrow in making up that $15 lost bc people are panicking over nothing. Im not gonna be happy if i only get $45. You live in Illinois so the weather gets bad in the winter.

Up until recently I genuinely like donating.

There is an issue with our hours being reported incorrectly. We are open Sun & Sat 8am-4pm and Mon-Fri 7am-7pm. Our apologies for any inconvenience.

I have been donating for a while and it is a wonderful place. Crystal is a very friendly hard worker who is always hopeful and caring about the people who come in.

This place has friendly staff. Had great experiences here. Pay for donating goes by your weight. For example I am 246 lbs. And The first five visits in 30 days is $100 after that it is $50 & $55 each week. It's never been that busy when I've gone. The first two times takes a little longer prob few hours after that you have less questions to answer on the computer thing. You get paid on a debit card they give you. Same day you get paid. It's way better than the other plasma center. I def recommend this place

Before gas prices skyrocketed you could come in and be done in like an 1 hour of 1 1/2 hours. Which seems long but the plasma donation its self takes about 45 minutes. But now? Good luck getting out in 2 or more hours. The long lines, and waits. They redid the donation floor and now machines sit empty, yet ready to go while everyone has to wait even though there are machine prepped and ready to donation. Donation floor staff is kind; but really slow, only adding to the hours you'll have to wait. Bring headp

Staff/ mangers lie becuase they having a bad day and dont like what someone said to them and kick people out for it. Manger called me a lier so I called her pmd back over a year ago. I sat there for 3 hours today only told half way through new donors screening that I couldn't donate because of said Manger who probably don't even work there anymore

Not enough staff and you don't pay enough to justify standing there for an hour before getting in a chair. Especially considering it's a 28 billion dollar industry and you all pay Pennies on the dollar for my time and plasma. Some of your staff needs a pep talk.

I am giving this review on behalf my husband. He has been in there 3 times to give plasma. He took time off from his job to do this. Why do you have workers in there that are so disrespectful working in a public medical setting is beyond me. You have a worker there named Tasha for one that is very rude. Comes in from her break shouting omg where did all these people come from??? Also cursing I might add! Do you think the people there is just to get money? And that means you have a right to be rude and mean?

I've literally tried calling 14 times and no answer within the past hour. I need to donate! No one wants to ever answer though. Please answer me so I can change this review and get some actual help.

I can not say enough great things about the Peoria location. It's very clean, no waiting time, the staff is AMAZING---very friendly & over all a great experience. I highly recommend. Only negative thing I would say is that they're only open til 5 pm during the week. Makes it hard when you have to work til 4:30 - 5 pm. Hopefully they will extend there hours in the future.

Avoid getting poked by Taylor. She don't care and is too heavy handed. You Will be in pain and bruise everytime. But all and all staff is friendly and usually quick and painless. ??

CSL Plasma in Peoria has become a joke. They have continued to mess with their payouts and the company doesn't care about returning donors. I've donated less and less each month simply because of the company. It's a shame because they have some staff that really try to make it a good experience. Unfortunately the time spent to get through the entire process is no longer with your time and plasma.

Nine times out of ten, it'll be a good experience. Sometimes stuff just happens that's pretty much out of anyone's control. Staff is really kind.

This place is so much nicer than the Talecris plasma center here in Peoria. It's so much cleaner, the staff is so much nicer. It was just a much better experience for me than it was at Talecris. It's been 2 years since I last donated because I really didn't want to go back to Talecris and deal either their rude staff! The staff here is so much nicer and they keep everything very clean especially because of the Covid-19 crisis going on. I will definitely be a return donor!

Take a lunch and be prepared to stand an hour just to be screened. Highly recommend ear plugs because people can't talk to the person next to them without shouting. Careful of the bathroom floors.

People may be ok with this place, but they actively penalize you if your truthful on things. So that maybe why so many lie on there medical issues. If you have any form of aniexty issues they will say you'll lash out so they defer you. I called corporate already abd made a complaint on this and the other things I've seen there that calls into question, everything they are supposed to be there for. I'd be suspect on many donations that get through. I've heard many say you have to lie to them. Its like of you

Worst experience at a plasma center I've ever had . The waits are horrible , standing in line for 1-2 hours to be talked to like were the inconvenience by the employees. Not worth the money or time .

He shouldn't be a manager he said I'm getting hot to you but everybody and everything else

I was not given my $10 bonus, even though I proceeded as instructed. Wanted to give one star (due to frustration) but it actually wasn't bad. Gave 2 stars for not following through and the phones saying it's closed today when it's actually not. I'm currently trying to call and figure out why it wasn't done and they can't even pick up

I think this is one of the best Plasma Centers I've ever gone to and donated at and I'm so grateful they finally moved to my city. Great people who are exceptionally proficient in their understanding and are super kind. They definitely will make sure all of your questions are answered if you have any and they will always welcome you to the center and thank you for your visit and donation.

HI , I would like to say thank you to KEA for helping me today if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be able to donate

There needs to be an option for people with disabilities CANT STAND LONG to sit down while standing in line for 40 minutes while waiting yo be screened. I have bad knees standing kills me. Not everyone is there for just money some of us really want to help others !! Their very slow working & talk about going home.... this isnt what we want to hear while we are going to donate for the next 2-3 hours plus standing & waiting in line time too.

Please get your predatory junkie complex out of my area. Since this facility opened it has brought all sorts of evil, undesirable people to a once quiet part of town.

My experience here has been great. First 5 donations you get $65 dollars and after that it goes by weight, from what I hear it's averages around $50 per donation after that. Whole process is real simple if you're patient, you help others and you while you help yourself.

Don't go unless you have at least 2 and a half hours to burn. You stand in line for a minimum of an hour and a half to do something that takes 45 minutes.

Always waiting two to three hours just to even get to the back to get stuck been here since the morning and was one of the few people here since open tell me why I'm still waiting in line one hour down

Joy is one of your hard workers an she's always willing help others by far my favorite phlebotomist

Waited over 2 hours just to be seen for a physical. Then after the physical I was told that I could not donate today, compete waste of my time over an issue that was solved the last time I was here. Its absolutely ridiculous.

Very rude. Megan missed my vein and tried to locate it by moving needle up down sideways everywhich way but the right way. That was Saturday no donation thanks to Megan. I return Wednesday just so happens Megan is my poker again. She said you have a bruise there cant poke you.

Slowwwwwwww. No one is any any hurry. Very unprofessional by everyone here. Workers talk about how they can't wait to go home the entire time I am here. It is by far the shadiest plasma facility I have been to. Not impressed.

Staffs always friendly. Depending on the day/time it can be quite busy but usually the actual donation process is fast.

Professionally as horrible as telecris Plasma center!! Un sanitary and the management barely get along. I'm afraid for my safety while in ur business establishment. Will never come back.

My 1st time donating Ever! The staff was amazing... T. was amazing!!!!

I am a regular donor and compared to where I donated before I think CSL is by far the best as they have bonuses and raffle drawings on a regular basis.

The workers do the BEST they can in the given situation. Put yourslf in THEIR shoes for a second.....could YOU do better? Mnnn....

Sammie is always a great personality and when she sticks I dont typically even feel it, definitely a better experience

Not worth the time and effort. Had to jump through so many hoops today then sent to medical, over it and I just left. Better ways to make some extra money.

They are always rude to me there,I highly recommend noone go there to donate,Try another plasma center like grifols, anything is better than csl plasma

They are so amazing. They care about their jobs and are so respectful.

Pleasant experience just upset I didn't get my $5 extra for showing them the online coupon :( was aupppu to get $5 extra first donation and $5 extra on the 2nd one too

I changed my review. It was a 5 but they have some employees that dont really want to be here and it starting to show. Very unfortunate!

Very good experience today. Facility very clean, all employees courteous and professional. Thanks Holly for referring me.

Super duper nice employees. They could use more help but the ppl here are great

They say open but when u call them it says there closed pick your poison csl stop stirring people wrong info

Nice people, clean. Kudos to Mckenzie for her care and great attitude.

Staff there is short and the ones that are working are rude.

Slow make you stand waiting sent back and forth with medical and because i took 8 days to come back in.

This place is slow cant do there jobs
