What a wonderful time during my Initial paperwork, screening, and donation! I was nervous and I began my day with Lily answering questions and filling out paperwork. She made jokes and helped me relax. Then, over to Jennifer who completed physical. She was very caring and patient. Then, it was time for the donation. Cyrus was very cheerful, and kept me talking while he cleaned and inserted the needle. I didn't even realize it was in until he taped it down. Even the center manager Deb stopped by duri
This Center is absolutely awesome!!! when it's properly staffed. In particular Ms Lily and Ms Tracy are absolute gems they make the process of getting your vitals taken super smooth . Very precise attentive and personable...... not to mention the phlebotomy staff is awesome to in particular Miss Debbie and Rihanna these ladies have the absolute best needle sticking ability I've ever seen. The staff at this place work very hard At least the ones that show up..... all in all really kind people and very effic
Hannah was doing an Amazing job today! Its not her fault they were understaffed. They were all clearly overwhelmed but she still had a smile and was very friendly. She needs a raise!
??I have made several donations over the last couple months and every experience is professional and comfortable ,staff members such as Jessica, Morgan, Nicole, CYRUS,DEB, RHIANNA,RAY,are always polite and professional as are all of the staff that has taken my donations over the last several visits I feel completely at ease as they are professional and the facility is clean well lit, and the new machines are faster and quieter in my opinion, thank you CSL Plasma 49th in Pinellas Park FLORIDA,????????
When things are good their good, but I've had to many bad experiences here with a certain someone can't seem to hit my vein or goes in sideways. She gave me a hemotoma once and as I sit here today the same girl that gave me the hemotoma last time put the needle in from a side angle yet again. So far it's flowing but I have to pump harder than usual to keep it going. Will see if I get through the machine putting cells and fluid back without screwing up my arm. I really don't like saying names but Tay really
It's hard to believe a situation where there are no seats or benches provided for the well over 2 dozen donors here who are standing in this time consuming line with me. We play a major role in this lucrative industry but the owner(s) at CSL Plasma in Pinellas Park chooses to give us the middle finger instead of having a little class and showing some courtesy.
There is never a sense of urgency here at all. Its always packed with people waiting to get processed. There are no seats at all which they should have cause as a patient you'll be there for 3 hours at the very least. You'll have plenty of employees but tons of empty beds and everyone just drags their feet. I would recommend any plasma facility that lets you book appointments instead of this place
CSL Plasma in Pinellas Park is a top-notch facility. The staff is incredibly pleasant and professional, and the place is always spotless. It's a great option for anyone looking to make extra money without committing to a part-time job. The entire process is efficient, making it a hassle-free experience.
Very nice and they make the process easier key and jade and the whole crew is amazing I wish I could put down all of the staff members names down truly they're whole crew is nice and it's a great place to work and donate at truly professional and clean and have outstanding performance for courtesy, professionalism, and motivational truly the best place to donate at. Guaranteed to be your best donation ever.point blank period outstanding
I have donated 3 times thus far and everyone is so very nice. Shelby who did my medical intake was so very sweet and hospitable. I did run into an issue with their plasma machine the second time. I will see how my next visit goes, I'm expecting more good results. I will say come prepared for a cold environment.
This plasma center is clean and everyone who helped me was very professional. After going through the introduction process when it was time to donate i was unable because i was potentially not hydrated enough. My veins were too small. Deb was extremely kind and i was told to drink 150oz water a day before coming back to try again. They still paid me half for my time spent there. I appreciate them informing me, especially after horror stories i?ve seen of friends with blown out veins from other plasma center
Was there for over an hour and hadn't even been called back yet. As a new donor they should really step on it because I don't have time to be there for 3 hours every time I want to donate. No sense of urgency at all
It's always a great experience coming to this location. The place is very clean every time I domate. The staff is very helpful by always explaining the process of my donation to me each time . They check on me to make sure I'm comfortable while I donate, which I really appreciate because it shows how attentive they are . They are also very friendly whenever I visit especially Cyrus and Deb & Deon Thanks again for always being awesome pinellas CSL ! (:
I genuinely enjoy the staff at this location and I use this as my main donation center, but today being the 2nd time in just the last two months, the doors were locked hours before closing time. I was looking forward to my multiple donation bonus for December and they were open until 4. At 1:40p the doors were already locked. So I missed out on the bonus for who knows what reason. Understaffing, machines being down again, who knows. But to lock the doors over 2 hours before closing time without as much as a
I have been to 3 different csl locations. Cincinnati, York Pa, and here. This is the best one by far. Cleaner, faster, more communitve, larger, and more professional. I wish they would send management from York here so they could see what it should be like. After 1100 donations I believe I know what I'm talking about. Addendum: the service time has slowed down noticeably in the last few months. Not sure for the reason. Seems like they are still adequately staffed.
Very friendly staff easy to donate plasma and relax this location is by far quicker than the one on east bay and not as cold.
Super nice well behaved everyone?s so friendly they want you to be here happy go Deb go Jen. Thank you so much place rocks
Tracey B., Raymond, Hannah, Darueen, Jennifer, Barbara and Cyrus are amazing. Please give them praise, a raise or both. Thank you!
Every time I have been in there, the staff has been nice and helpful and I'm in and out within usually an hour give or take
This is a busy awesome location to donate plasma just need to have patience when some days they're under staffed
This location has poor communication skills. As a first time donor, everyone that works there seems to lack confidence when processing new donors. Unfortunately, I was assigned a new phlebotomist who poked me but failed to land the needle on the vain of my left arm. After waiting 1 day to be repoked on my good arm (left), Jeremy who had the final say of whether or not I could donate was very hostile when re-checking my arm had raised his voice at me and wouldn't let me talk when I was trying to explain to h
29 beds open, 23 people waiting in line. Looks like the docs can only handle 3 patients to a doc. Only 9 people donating at a time. 8 vital checking stations and only 2 docs running them. Average wait time is at least 3 hours no matter what time you arrive. Location has had the understaffed sign out for a year or more at this point. Need to hire more staff.
On Wednesday June 26th after waiting in 2 lines for almost 2 hours, they sent everyone home. Very frustrating. There was 1 person ahead of me to go to the beds and the supervisor came out and sent us all home. I feel totally cheated of my time, again almost 2 hours, and my fee. They said "oh just come back tomorrow" I don't know about you but I have to schedule my time off from work to come here so I have set days that I'm available.I just can't come back tomorrow. Not only that but cheated out of my money
I came in today and everyone was so nice and efficient. I had to transfer in and Tracy took care of me. My phleb took the time to make sure I was comfortable, asked if I needed anything to help pump and was quick to disconnect me. Great experience!
Friendly staff and I enjoyed the music.. My first time donating plasma...also little nervous....music helps to calme you down... Today I saved a life ....
The phlebotomists do a good job when they actually seat people. I've been to CSL plasmas in multiple states and one thing I notice about this specific center is they will have multiple seats open, sometimes 10-15 at a time but continue to let people wait in line instead of simply seating them. I see multiple phlebotomists standing around and talking, laughing and not focusing on getting more people sat and more people going. Once you actually get in a chair they are very polite and nice, but for the extreme
Slowest staff ever. I've even heard a staff member say they were going to the Clearwater location because of how efficient they are there. I only ever see like 2-3 people working no matter how many people are there to donate or how many employees are in the building. There seems to be no urgency, nor purpose in their work ethic. Many lack professionalism. Always talking amongst each other when there is a high volume of patients, rather than quickly getting them through the screening process. I also wish the
It's saddens me to say that this company has taken a poor direction as of late. They have changed the pay scale in a way that does not benefit the donor. That combined with the wait times makes this company and especially this location a poor choice for a plasma donation I've been coming to this location for 3 years now and it is a shame.
The first time as a new donor I was here for 7 hours new donors r supposed to go fast this place is so under staffed so unclean unprofessional the only thing ppl want is the 825 then never come again go to octa plasma there so much nicer cleaner n they like to get to know there ppl it don't take that long to b there as it does here I'd rather give this place a 0 stars but I cant
Poor experience, poor service, discrimination towards people who do not speak English perfectly or fluently. A family member's mind went to donate for the first time filled out the forms, did the interview on her own, and completed 54 questions on the computer? All in English by herself and then was given a hard time at the kiosk. There's not one single person at this location that speaks Spanish. How can you run an organization or a business where there's nobody that speaks another language, not just any o
Csl plasma needs to step up their game. I used to donate in Fort Lauderdale. The rules are 2-donation a week, 2- days apart. Simple and effective. I move to Pinellas Park. I was put on a schedule of Mondays and Fridays. I never heard of that. I donated on Monday, and went on a Wednesday. I explained to them I couldn't go on Friday, had a family emergency. I was told I had to wait until Friday, and I should postpone my trip. Instead of accommodating me. They are not the only plasma place in town. Maybe Bette
They are always understaffed. The lines are long and it takes around an hour to two most days to complete donation. Nursing staff constantly having problems sticking people with the needles and missing veins. On my last visit I heard a tech actually asking people donating if they "minded her sticking them bc she wasn't sure if they had a issue with her last time"..
The idea is to come in and be able to help others by donating it clearly is not all about the money for me, I think there is way too much talking and walking around and looking and not servicing people at a decent rate of speed people come there in between work and home schedules I feel this should be respected! I may not come back due to the fact it just takes too long to donate the process is overwhelming and I have seen employees here move fast so I know it can be done but on Wednesdays it is the worst d
I would like to leave a review for Kim at Pinellas park location! She is sweet kind and and amazing. She always takes her time , she comes to check on you mid donation and is always ray of sunshine I truly look forward to seeing her I had to leave my review under my sons Google account because I don't have one but I definitely want to make sure I left a review because she is truly one of a kind- Malea
I really saw the true hospitality of CSL employees today observing them work with a blind Donor. This man was treated with dignity and respect through and through. I observed employees ask him if he wanted assistance and not assume, they used directional language and were incredibly welcoming. A huge shout out to Cyrus who Moved quickly and maintained professionalism to assist the Donor in a time of need. As a professional who work with the blind and visually impaired my heart was so happy to be able to
Most of the reviewed are regulars who probably still come in every week. Staff is super helpful and always tries their best to work with what they got. Reception staff is super friendly and thank you to Ria and Alex for helping with my app. Cyrus V always has a great stick and never had an issue. Wait times are a little long but understandable with the adjustments made recently.
I've had positive experiences here and it starts with Jen, who's an excellent manager and will go above and beyond to help donors. All check in folks have been really cool, and the phlebotomists are friendly as well. I was able to help others by donating while receiving great care twice a week. Thank you!
Well my first time was quick and easy. And the phlebotomist was very good! They gave me an express ticket for my 2nd time and there's no one in here but a couple people. The ?express ticket? doesn't mean anything at all. I still waited in both lines. Currently been here a little over an hour. Still waiting in line. However , everything else is great so far. Just don't believe when they give you an ?express ticket?.
Been coming here a year and it's by far better than all the other donation centers I've been to. Some days have a little longer wait than others but these people are doing their best to get you in and out sufficiently. Nicole is always nice and her sticks perfect.
Very friendly/helpful staff and clean facilities. However, the service is unbearably slow during almost every visit ? unless there's virtually no one else donating when I visit. There's usually fair amount of staff present when I visit, but most of the time I notice them sitting/standing around instead of prepping stations or tending to donors. I've also been to other CSL centers when traveling, and almost always receive faster service. They're usually just as busy and similarly staffed to this one. There
Some of the staff seemed well educated & professionals, mainly just 2 of the girls, but the over all majority of the workers here were concerning? by that I mean they were not smart or well educated or even mildly professional in the way they spoke, I was fairly about their training & competence, I'm truly holding myself back & trying to say this in the nicest way I possibly can without using words that could be deemed offensive or inappropriate, it was overall very concerning & a uncomfortable experience?
Arwen is so amazing and sweet! Awesome personality! She has always been nice! Never have had any issues with any of the staff here!
I have been going to this csl location for just over a year now. Everyone is really friendly and even though I have been here so long, the staff always tells me exactly what they are doing before they actually do it. Ive only had one problem here with a certain employee who was not exactly gentle with his work and always missed my vain. However that person no longer works there. Other than the sometimes long wait lines, my experience is almost pleasant.
I have given plasma at other companies and this one (CSL Pinellas Park location) is BY FAR the slowest and most pain staking. Usually takes me about 2 hours on a normal day to get in/out. Today, a Saturday, It took me over 3 hours to earn $50. The staff that does Your physical is where it gets congested. They have 1-2 people working and they goof off majority of the time. Go to another location or even company if You don't want to waste an afternoon/morning!!
So I have been coming to CSL for 2 yrs..Kim is a New Member of the team, and she is wonderful I WAS her 21st stick and I did not even feel it. THE BEST thus far... Morgan is a Great Teacher.
Visited on today 6/7 as always staff was cool. Kimberly was the one who stuck me this time and by far the most painless stick ever. I'd recommend her to be your sticker.
I actually like my CSL experience. The facility is clean and many staff members are quite pleasant. Sure there are times I have had to wait, but that's just bc I arrived at a busy time. The staff know what to do and are overall quick at getting me in and done. My only suggestion is that they pay donors more after the initial month.
After 5 plus years of donating at CSL periodically, I decide to take a visit to this location after not donating for a couple months. With that being mentioned, I had to take a physical after getting my vitals checked. The employee by the name of Shelby was conducting my physical and informs me she passed me for my physical, but mentions my skin looks dry & that's she's worried I may have eczema so I won't be able to donate at the moment. I tell her I don't have eczema so she then advises me to come the ne
Love this facility! The people are who make the difference. I especially like seeing all of the friendly smiling faces. Huge shout out to the best one there Kim! She's the best!!
Most of the staff was very kind and the service was quick! However, one staff member was very rude and even told me I ?wasn't taking this seriously? while I answered questions to the best of my abilities. Very disappointed with the unprofessionalism.
Csl Plasma has a helpful staff. They are usually not that busy and you can always get a bed at a reasonable speed. They also pay more then other plasma centers. Efficiently run the management and staff should get applauded.
I had a terrible encounter with an employee today at this plasma facility. As I pulled into the parking lot heading to cvs,a dark-skinned African American female in dark blue scrubs was walking out, engrossed in her phone walking very slowly and paused in the road. When I honked to alert her, she reacted aggressively, using profanity and making threats, causing a traffic hold-up. She then got into her vehicle followed me in her vehicle and parked in a way that blocked me in, with my son in the car. After con
Arwen is always a pleasure to see. She's always professional, hard working, has a smile & nice things to say. I truly enjoy coming here bcuz of the fast machines & her. I cant express enough how she does a job well done. Thank you Arwen!
I have been happy every time I go. The staff are very polite and try to make the process as fast as possible. Joseph on the donor floor he is always very polite and never miss when he does iv. Ria at check in she always has a smile and is polite. They have some great staff
Wonderful nurses shout out to Tim for always being so helpful and kind to all the receptionist! Cyrus C you're always my favorite to go to when I check in, you make my day better, and my donation a little more at ease! As for the phlebotomist, there is always more room for growth, but they are so quick with their jobs, and make jokes with you to pass the time ! Thank you Deb for hiring such great employees, and taking over the center to be a more enjoyable place to donate!
I have been coming to the center for months. The Phlebotomist named Kim is awesome. She to me is the best one there. She doesn't miss my veins. For some reason , other people have a problem Getting my left arm but she doesn't. She does it right every time she gets an A in my book. Thx
I've been to probably 10 CSLs across several states - Kimberly and the other staff members here are my favorites - very friendly , quick & accurate sticks. Has the newer Rika machines so it's way quicker as well overall.
In short. You will not return to this facility if you can avoid it. They do not staff the place properly and clearly are fine with things as is. No improvements in 2 years wasting my time here. At 2 plus hours a visit for 30 minute machines..... They really don't want or care about your donation here.
Staff is great. My Experience there is always much when Kimberly and Cyrus on the schedule. Clone them, they're Awesome. God ?? Bless
Hi, I visited CSL Plasma on Pinellas Park in Buffalo Automist. Kim was excellent. She's always super friendly and outgoing, and willing to go above and beyond to do her duties. Kim is so fun!
update** This was my second visit, 3 days after my first. I arrived at about the same time (2:15) and today I was in and out in under 2 hours - and that includes having to wait 10 minutes to retake my pulse because it was elevated from walking there. I was skipped by several people while waiting, so I probably would have gotten out in an hour and a half if my heart rate were lower. A big line had formed by the time I left, but I think earlier is always better so that didn't surprise me. Great, friendly st
Cyrus is spectacular with my withdrawal, very friendly & knowledgeable.
I found donating plasma to be a wonderful experience here! The staff is really kind and patient with donors, especially Cyrus the phlebotomist; I have never had a bad interaction with anyone here. I love being able to answer the kiosk questions from my phone before I even walk in. The app is very user-friendly and transparent with the rewards.
CSL plasma is predatory. They take advantage of people who need money by getting you used to donating for 100, then without warning drop it to 50. If you decide its not worth putting a needle in your arm for 50 dollars and wait for them to give you a better offer (they make 1500 off each of your donations) they punish you by making you wait 2-4 hours to go through the ?new donor process? again even though you arent a new donor
I've been donating plasma at CSL for over 15 years, the last 3+ years at the Pinellas Park Center. My experiences there have been very good and the reason for my loyalty. But lately with the understaffing leading to the long wait times I believe it's time to find a new center to make my donations...
Everyone is so nice and professional. I seem to always get put with Tasha and she is so kind and welcoming, always makes my day. Love donating here.
Arwen is the smoothest phlebotomist tech I have worked with! My arm is always in good shape after donating and I never feel any pain when I work with her. Thanks girl!
They have 4 to 5 staff members on the donor floor who are friendly but what's extremely troubling is the clear lack of appreciation for the donors and the huge revenue and profit
I've only been here twice and everyone seems real nice. They do everything they can to get you in and out. Cyrus (Sr. Phlebotomist) is AWESOME. Update: I had a different phlebotomist yesterday, who was wearing a neon yellow/green visor. Truth be told she wasn't too friendly. Didn't identify herself or much less say hello and didn't even crack a smile. I was a tad put off by that. And she only stuck me once and didn't want to stick me twice which I understand. But she could have asked somebody else
The rudest people I've ever had the misfortune of meeting in my life work The Vital Check Point, which goes as such; one worker only, two on a rare occasion. They take one donor then go on a five minute break. They're extremely condescending and rude. I had three people in front of me and it took 90 minutes just to start the process. Can they really not afford employees? Are staff given the leeway to take break after break? Is there and leadership at all? If you want to be treated like trash, this is the pl
Got there for an 8 AM appointment, building was pretty much empty of patients, by 930 I'm still sitting in the lobby asking what's going on and I keep getting told ?about 20 minutes?
I was concerned after reading the past reviews, but have been pleasantly surprised at my experience from day one! My first visit took 2 1/5 hours. My visits since have all taken about an hour. Everyone there has been respectful and friendly. It's a great way to donate to help others and get rewarded as well!
Absolutely ridiculous waits for the little bit of money!!! An hour just to get vitals check only to go get in another line for another hour!! Crazy!! The staff is nice and facility is clean but definitely better options out there if you want to donate
This is the worst plasma center out of all of them. the staff are slow, they mis stick people and bruise them up so they have to wait 2 to 6 weeks to come back, I've seen bags explode in a machine for not being put in the machine correctly and the donor told he couldn't come back for 6 weeks for their mistake and lines are always more than an hr wait. When members complain about the lines they defer them for no reason . Not a good plasma center and they pay the lowest amount for loyal donors . It just took
Very annoyed after donating today. The tech stuck me with the needle and proceeded to wiggle the needle around in my arm. She then got frustrated and said I'm too squirmy and she can't finish it. Well, unfortunately it's very uncomfortable having a needle under your skin being shoved atound. I've never had this experience. Another tech had finished it. They ended up having to stick my other arm after the needle starting hurting. Now the site is all red and bruised due to it not being done properly the first
I wasn't able to give a donation due to have giving a blood donation at another establishment I was 4 days shy and actually grateful for this to happen. Raven & chArles were awesome !!!! If they were not there my experience would have been TERRIBLE. Because of them and their professional skills I was at ease. Cannot say the same about the girl with the glasses and the elder lady with long grey hair she was the RN BEWARE of her !!! she was very unprofessional slamming her hands down on the table in front o
I am surprised to see so many bad reviews. Comparing too the other plasma donation center that is on U.S. 19. This is the best place to go in Pinellas. Its fast, for the most part and its clean. I have had such great customer service from the staff and i have never been treated badly. I think the worst part by far is the customers. It is a public place, so you never know what you are going to get. I think the public feels negatively towards the employees because they were deferred or they couldnt donate sev
I've donated plasma at this location for several months. The staff was always polite, friendly and professional. Donors were made to feel valued as people, though the wait could be excessive at times. Overall, it was a good place. Sadly, all that changed when I was recently fondled by a female employee wearing latex gloves during an intake evaluation. I pulled back from this alarming, new procedure and was informed by the woman doing it that it was a "new policy" and now a mandatory part of intake examin
Awesome experience thanks to Sakhia. She was very polite positive and gentle when it comes to the needle, made my experience enjoyable. Thanks again Sakhia appreciate the patience and gentle care. ????
I understand being understaffed, therefore I can understand the wait times. What I am frustrated with is unclear instructions for new donors. I waited through the six hours of being a new donor and went back for my second donation. They failed to tell me that I would have to see the nurse again. Knowing that would?ve helped me decide what time and what day to come in so that I can prepare for how long it will take. There's only one nurse and the wait time to see the nurse is longer than it is to actually go
I had a post here, I was told to call an 800 #, I did. They told me someone would call me back. Well I just got a call from the local location, I said hello twice, nobody said anything. So they probably noted they called but they really didn't, very consistent with my observations.
Friendly staff and short wait times if you arrive early afternoon.
I want to give a shout out to Deborah and Siris. My bad if I spelled yo name wrong bro lol. But I just want to say that I appreciate yall for all the hard work yall put in. You guys tackle situations real fast and never complain about anything. You guys work fast and efficient and yall always know how to keep us happy with a smile. CSL , these 2 individuals are the Core of this place. ??????
Update***** I am so beyond frustrated with my experience at this location. The wait time has been getting steadily worse, over 2+hours till you are on the floor. Also once you are on the floor you will need to wait easy another 30 minutes till you are set up. That's if you don't get skipped like I did today. The cleanliness of the establishment seems to be lacking recently as well. Finally a complete lack of regard of our time. I have made numerous complaints and every seems to be getting worse. I can not
I have donated plasma through CSL Plasma since early 2017 (so about 4.5 years). My initial experience for the first 3.5+ years at a center in Rock Hill, SC was a pleasant experience. The vitals checkin people were friendly and efficient. The ones for the donation bed were really nice and made it as pleasant an experience as possible. Always thanked you for your donation and made you want to come back. It never took me any longer then 1:45 from start to finish to complete my donation. Then I moved to
When I referred a friend I went in with her to her first donation to have the staff help with the referral code to make sure I did it right? a week later still no bonus? went in again and talked to someone.. waited again no bonus? went in again they give me contact info to email? sent 2 emails and still no bonus? then I call and they tell me it's been too long and I can't get my bonus? freaking ridiculous? then for their I rewards I had surgery in which I did the correct protocols with the nurses to find o
Five stars ! The staff is always soo sweet and friendly ,the sign in /up process is very quick and easy, always clean . Great management, I tried a few donation centers in the area and this one is by far the best ! ;)
Great experience..I however have gone to the spot on east bat and no comparison. They were rude unlike in Pinellas park. I refuse to go anywhere else
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
