People complain looks like mainly staff and wait times, ive always been out in under 2 hours, my complaint is should be paid alot more, hospitals charge thousands for meds using the plasma to insurance companies, then we get 50$ for a quarter size amount?
Only positive thing I can say about this center and its employees is at least the bathroom is decently clean. Outside of that there is NOTHING good about this place or it's lazy ass complaining do no work but talk employees. If you didn't like the job why go to school for it??? Everytime you turn around looters are bundled together giggling while we sit in line for 2 hours. Before you come know they stick one at a time unless it's closing hour then miraculously they move much quicker. Worst center i?ve been
Great experience for the short time I was there today. Unfortunately I was sent home because of my age of 67. The website states up to the age of 74. I see so many negative reviews of this Pontiac office but all I saw was understaffed hard working polite and respectful employees! Can we figure out why I was sent home?
The people here are 50/50; between worthless and a little less worthless. When there are 18 out of 24 open beds for 46 minutes and only fill 5 of them over the next 33 minutes, means there's a fundamental breakdown from both management and staff. This place could easily double their revenue if they had a clue about how to operate anything but a lighter or a bottle cap.
Horrible experience. Front end intake lady AA tall with glasses is horrible. Literally mumbled "dirty trash" about a lady who was just trying to use her phone for a ride. Looks for any excuse to send people away and not let them donate after waiting an hour. Rude and deamining to fellow employees also. The extent of customer service is yelling out to the crowd of patients "we are short staffed it will be over a 3 hr wait to begin intake. If you don't like it go somewhere else." Unbelievable they allow her
Usually good expirenece .... today not so great .... the "bruise" in picture attached was too close for me to donate. ..... even though been in before with darker and was still allowed .... so not sure why my last was different than my first like 8 visits .... brusie was from the wrapping they put on after donation ... *************************** 1/31/24 Came in today to donate all my numbers and everything matched everything was great just had a small skin irritation from a waterproof Band-Aid. And he'
How can you save others lives and contribute something worth while? Donate plasma. A lot of people have found this act of selflessness to be helpful and rewarding. You can also make some good side money doing this. First time donors can earn up to 825$ for donating. Ask for Alnedra. What are you waiting for?
Almost two hours to even get back and donate? so don't plan on anything for your whole day or you'll be canceling all your appointments? not to mention they pay the least of all donation centers!!! Not worth it
The staff here is largely rude and just plain unprofessional. I get so tired of the toxic nasty attitudes in there. There is two women that work in screening that are pleasant no matter how busy and chaotic things are, one is a white lady with blond hair and the other is a very skinny lady, maybe Hispanic, the rest are rude, inconsiderate and just shouldn't be there. I work in the medical field as well and can not even fathom talking to my patients like this, let alone having the disgusting attitudes most o
This place is very unprofessional, always under staffed and the staff talk about outside of work activities. Some staff are very under trained in collecting samples properly. I do not suggest donating here as it is a plant/manufacturing job as the staff called it!
Multiple employees have been rude/abrasive towards me, including getting an eye roll due to a reaction I was having. It's borderline impossible to become a new donor - you'll be there all day trying to talk to an employee and get through all the steps. Do not recommend. I won't ever be going back to a CSL Plasma, in general.
Great place to donate at. Clean and safe. Staff is always amazing welcoming and respectful ?? ??
I've donated here off and on since 2012. After trying other locations even one in Ohio, I choose to drive to this location everytime now! You can't find a better staff that truly cares about you donating experience. The center is always clean. The line always moves quickly. The stuff is always professional and caring. The center manager Sandra and I always seem to chat it up when I stop in. Tatyana, Freeman, and Jazz always do a great job of sticking my challenging veins. Thank guys for so many positive don
The over weight Caucasian man Said my protein was low and deferred me.. I think it's quite strange for someone who is over Weight aka obese to be giving health advice. On January 20th Monday I weighed 156 and I came back and January 23 weighed 166. Please Losoe weight don't take your troubles out on the wrong person. Don't make things unfair for people because it's unfair for you.. Projecting.. I understand I've been through it a lot lately.. Let me help you see.. You need protein..
Great staff! Compared to other places, I rarely have bruises .
I love coming here. Anytime Rhonda does my intake it's always very quick and efficient. She's always the most friendly and positive person around. She is what keeps me coming back! She deserves Avery raise possible! The rest of the staff is also amazing. 10/10
I donated plasma a lot in North Carolina when I was in the marine corps. Never once had a problem. Anyways. I donated plasma blah blah then after Donating I was feeling light headed so I went to get a cracker. A two pack cracker that they say are for donors. One of the employees (they don't wear name tags) yelled at me for getting a cracker saying those are for before donating (not what cooperates said after I called them) then I asked to talk talk to a manager they were nice then I tried asking the front d
This place has gone downhill quick! From what I heard, management has driven the staff off. A lot of good workers either quit or were terminated and now they're severely understaffed. Was told that it would be a 3 hour wait on my last visit.
they routinely open 30-40 mins late. opens at 7 but expect them to turn on the computers around 730. at that point they are so understaffed you may get poked around 825. rumor has it half the staff quit. one lady in screening specializes in condescending sarcasm and complaining about management . an hour process usually take 2. the phlebotomy staff are usually very friendly. front end staff are seriously lacking in professionalism. since late March the staff moral and service took a dump.
Nice staff. False advertising. I understand it varies by location but why on the door does it say up to 700 for first time? To clarify Pontiac is 525 period for new donor
Lack of staff, sitting in line waiting as they watch you, no hustle no care for the individual donating. If you don't need the money go somewhere else. This place is a joke most days.
The staff is beyond rude. They are not worth anyone's time. They're nasty and someone should definitely deal with it
Had 2 successful donations. My third donation was terrible, performed by someone who kept saying that I was her last donation of the night. She rushed the donation to the point where she missed my vein in both arms, leaving me with massive bruises which deferred me for over a week, which has now effected my ability to maximize my donations. All she cared about were her nails, hair and eyelashes. She didn't care to do a good job. Now, I can't donate when I need to and have missed out on hundreds of dollars
Amazing people. I love how Anna and Zachary always gets my veins on the first try. Only downfall is that I get deferred at the vital check in alot recently. Update: will not be returning. They now want me to go to the doctor because of my iron levels the past 3 times that I tried to donate. Only was able to donate 2 times in the first 7 days of the month. Past couple months, they have tried to tell me to take iron pills. Tried that didn't work at all!!!!!!!
The staff here is excellent! Very kind and attentive. A pleasurable experience.
Alnedra is my hero, she can stick me any time! She's kind and always has a smile for me, very professional and personable. 11/10 recommend her and this facility!
The people there are very nice and polite
Staff is super slow.. Just walk around when beds are open
Honestly had no issues until the day I brought a referral in and was told to sit in the departure lounge so the employees wouldn't get in trouble with their boss. . . Omari Johnson was the only nice worker in this establishment. If you want to donate, I suggest making the trip to the grand blanc one.
The past two times I been there I can't draw enough plasma because anna can't find the right vein and puts it in wrong but when zack or someone else does it I had no problem before yesterday was horrible Today I went to go donate and was turned away all because of a scar on my right hand I was just there two days ago and everything was fine It's ok I won't be back
I have never donated plasma before so I called ahead on Saturday to figure out what I needed to know and do to donate. I was told they were short staffed and to come during the week. I called on Monday to confirm their hours and make sure they were open and accepting new donors. They said they don't take appointments but that I was welcome to come up. I drove the thirty minutes to get there and found an empty building. I stood in line by myself for 10 minutes before someone came out and asked what I needed.
CSL Plasma On Telegraph In Pontiac Is Allowing Their Employees To purposely fail Customers Who Come In Close To Closing Time! I Heard With My Own Ears A Employee Telling Another Employee To Fail My Vital Check?A Sure Enough The Other Employees Did Exactly That?.My Mother Passed Away From Needing Plasmas An They Turning People Away SHE SHOULD BE FIRED ??????
I came here because it seemed cleaner and better staff then other places but that no longer seems the case. The staff seems standoffish and argumentative. With a total lack of caring about the person in front of them at all.
This was the absolute worst experience I have had at any organization. If I could give negative stars this location would get all of them. The wait times are long because they have no sense of urgency (at all) and on top of that they are understaffed. The nurse trainee (Robin) who was doing my physical was nice and was thorough. However, her trainer was rude. The trainer rushed her through my physical process because she said she was hungry. Rushed her through to the point that Robin had to finish speaking
I have been coming here 2 times a week for over a year. I have never had any complaints. The staff is always friendly and lively. The wait times definitely vary depending the time of day. Mornings tend to be faster than afternoons. The payout is higher than other places.
Generally nice people but a 40 min wait on hold for a simple question was not appreciated. This was the same receptionist that I asked for water twice and never got it
Rude, lazy workers complaining every time I have been there about working to early or lack of help. You get the feeling you are bothering them. There a a couple of really good people working there they just can't do everything and carry the load for the rest. BioLife is much more professional and the people working there care about their patients ,each other and work as a team. I suggest going to BioLife I tried CSL again today because it's closer to where I live and that was a mistake.
They make you do it every other day before you wait a week for the next one ,so be sure it doesn't land on a sat , because sat mornings are way too busy. Also. The set up at octaplasm is better cus after you do you temp check you have to wait in a line, instead of them just calling you.
i have been going here for almost 2 years now. i go first thing in the morning and love the people that work there. ms. Alberta is the one that normally takes my vitals. just a nice lady. granted others have taken my vitals and they are nice also. Marissa S. is so caring and while she is setting you up to sticking you she has no problem listening to your morning. that makes me feel more at ease. I normally have Marissa stick me because i am one of the first people in. but i have had Nicole and a few o
They kicked me out because I was on the phone, I was super nervous so my friend was just talking me through it, I know there's a no camera rule and I respect that for others privacy but seriously? Your gonna kick someone out for being on the phone? That's so stupid.
had a good experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The process was easy. You can save lives and earn a few extra bucks! I recommend using this center Reya was very helpful and friendly always smiling
I would not recommend this location for plasma donation. Although staff was nice, they lacked communication and organization. Website stated new donor process would take 110 minutes from start to finish. I was there 2 hours before my physical exam was even started. I was tossed around from staff member to staff member due to lack of communication. After waiting, completing videos, questionnaires and a personal information exam I had already been in and out of the waiting room 3 times. I was pulled into anot
I went in today for first time. I have nothing to say but good things. The whole staff was amazing. It was my first time ever donating. I was very nervous. The staff took the time to explain everything and walk me through what happens. Answered every question I asked. Omari and Lisa are the 2 I remember best. Omari was the one who got me all hooked up. He knew i was having alot of anxiety and took the time to tell me what all was going to take place. He supplied me with lots of jokes and distractions, being
Seems that every time I donate there is something to be cleared in their system. Instead of letting you know at the outset that you are required to be cleared by medical and are in for a looooong wait to the donor floor they do it step by step.
Rhonda is very personable, she greets me every time I sit down at her booth. She is expepediant and professional while she prescreens people.
I had a really good experience being a first time donor despite the fact that I almost blacked- out during the process (totally my fault). I did not drink enough fluids but when I alerted staff that I didnt feel right they responded rather quickly and knew exactly what to do. They attended to me with professionalism and care. I appreciated that... I know better now! *bring all your id cards *drink plenty water *eat something healthy *get rest & pack patience You should have a successful donation here ?
Great and smooth process. Rhonda did an amazing job with helping me get my blood pressure down in order to donate . Definitely recommend this location
He's the Expert? Fast? and Funny! Each visit to this CSL location, will ALWAYS be unexpectedly the best experience when you encounter Omari! Omari helps make my donation go smooth every time, and keeps me laughing the entire time! He's a great team player, and smoother than butter with the needle. I recommend you ask for Omari when you visit this location you won't regret it! Not to mention this location is very clean, and all the staff is very pleasant! Hands down, the best experience at any CSL!
CSL Pontiac is well staffed, wait time for the most part is very minimal. A great way to give back and also make a little extra cash. Jade is always smiling and a pleasure to deal with.
Staff is great.Music is great, very clean in and out.Usually everybody there is amazing
Super slow they never have people working and when they do have the staff they move even slower cause they will send everyone on an hour break.. My fiance went today and they said she can't use her fast pass because its to many people in line and its not fair. Then why give out the fast pass if we can't use them it sucks to be honest.
I signed up as a new donor, got a reactive test in the mail and I couldn't donate due to my reactive test needing clearance, 2 weeks later now that my clearance is cleared, after they said I will continue from where I left off, there is nothing they can do in there power, but to restart me as a returning donor,
First donation on Sunday 5/22 was amazing! Ana was quick professional, and very friendly in Screening. Dawn and Tammy rock as medical staff, so polite. And Mark did a superb job with the venipuncture. Easy, painless, and no problems afterwards. CSL Pontiac's team is one phenomenal group.
This place is too busy. People start lining up 45 minutes before the place opens and if you show up at 7 there is about 20+ people going ahead of you. There are a few decent employees here but as for the rest they're childish, profane, hate their job and are terrible employees. I don't want some woman with a scowl to jam a needle in my arm. They also don't drug test at this place, they claim it's random. There is constantly fiends lined up at this place, just looking spaced out of their mind. This place isn
Tory up front and Nicole in the back are my favorite! I would always request Nicole if she was working. She always found my vein and it always hurt the least when she does it. Threw up my first time and Tory was very sweet and helpful. Not all the staff was as friendly which is why I give a 4
Place is very unprofessional, most employees are just standing around talking while they could be helping the god knows how many others in line. As stated in another review they don't do drug tests and most of them hate their job so they find no pleasure in doing it leading to them standing around and talking instead of speeding up the process. I have gone here three times two times I've been told they can't find a vein but another time they did. I've gone to another one about 30 minutes from where I live a
Very polite works!! I come early in the morning and Ms.Alberta is always consistent with getting you screened. Never had any issues getting in and out.
Genuine wonderful professional people!
Best hours to donate would be in the morning because they're afternoon to evenings can get very busy. However the best advice I would give is to drink at least 4 glasses of water (4 bottles of water) this will allow your blood to flow smoothly cutting your donation time in half. staff is relatively friendly with regular donors but also cordial with other donors. I always see them working as a team here. One person is stocking, another is ending a donation, the other is setting up a new donor.
I went there on a sunday for my first time only to be turned away because they were not taking any new donors even though the guy who answered the phone told me id be able to donate. However, i came back the next sunday and my experience was much better. The phlebotomists were very nice and did a great job.
Highly recommend. Easy way to make quick cash and it's for a good cause. Friendly staff shoutout to: Raye, Kya, Tammy, Amiyah. All of them are super nice and make you feel welcomed.
Csl is great.. my favorite tech is Rhonda- always very helpful, kind and informative. I look forward to seeing her on my donation days.
I used to go to this location all the time. Never had an issue with them or my address. I stopped going because I didn't need the extra money at the time. I go back this morning and all of a sudden my address is untraceable. I've been living here for 5 years and now my address is untraceable????? Makes no sense
I had a good experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The process was easy. You can save lives and earn a few extra bucks! I recommend using this center
My husband went in to donate today after work and these workers had poor bedside manners and were beyond rude and disrespectful if you're gonna be working in the medical field, you definitely need to work on your bedside manner and the way that you talk to people
Worst experience, machine was beeping for 15 minutes made eye contact with employees and they did nothing. Asked if I was done since nobody cared to help. Response was, "no you're not done, give me a second" I told her it's been 15 minutes with the machine beeping. Staff is rude and clearly don't care for what they are doing
Dont go here if you can avoid it workers are poor at there job go one day then dont go again for 2 month because they dont want to do there jobs
Rhonda is the best very friendly and kind. Also, the entire staff very nice and friendly and I enjoy every experience when I go to CSL Plasma to donate thank you
Had an amazing experience marshella the nurse and Zach made it very comfortable and I'm greatful for that ! Highly recommend!
i have donated at csl in Pontiac for over a year. the best thing is the employees are the best and are very concerned for the donors and do their best to make it a pleasant experience. Sometimes the wait is long, yes, but if you go within an hour before they close, is the longest wait times. Getting points and getting a "speed Pass" can allow you to jump to the head of the line. Once in the donation room, it takes at least an hour. i have never had an unpleasant experience and im over age 55. After a
Workers in the front that sample your blood very slow, not friendly, act like they don't want to be there. Rather than taking care of donors they are caring on there own conversations. Some of us have of jobs to go to!
A lot of different staff to help answer questions. The women from the beginning process went somewhere no one could find her but muiltple staff members continue to help. I've been putting off domating plasma for years! I'm weird and love getting my blood taken so it wasn't that big of a deal! What a learning experince everyone interested or putting it off go ahead and try it!
Very unprofessional. I have had several bad experiences. Employees are unprofessional and poorly trained. Wait times are very high and the pay is low. Its worth the drive to go somewhere else. I wouldn't be disappointed if this location closed. Its horrible.
If I could give 0 star ratings I would. Extremely slow service, 2 hour wait to be seated, unprofessional staff with attitude and lazy ethics. Please, save yourself the high blood pressure and just go somewhere else.
This place is very professional and friendly! Rhonda was very helpful through the whole process as a new donor, as well as all the other staff members!
There are other better plasma centers.
Was great the first two visits. Now u wait over an hour just to get weighed then they give u a sticker who's learning & complains u have rolling veins when u have been donating for2 years without a problem, then they hurt u & forget to put on the saline....i was just scared
The service was absolutely terrible, the directions that they keep spewing over and over to you are irrelevant after the third time hearing them. I got turned away three hours into the process because I got a tattoo over six months ago, why was this not asked within the first hour?
Too many empty seats and waiting way too long while the staff just wonders around having little meetinmeetings, its rediculous how long the wait is standing with soon many empty seats!!! Five people donating and a mile long line sanding and waiting, need to give outmoremoney and they really need to get organized things would flow better actually like we are bothering them!!! I'm not going to be donating anymore, not worth it! ??
Don't come here unless you're ready to spend two or three hours here. The workers are incredibly slow, and would rather talk to each other instead of actually doing their job of getting people onto the donation floor
Staff is nice, but they need to hire more employees. The wait is ridiculous. To wait in line an hour BEFORE you donate is not acceptable.
Not so bad it has its days like any other job I get it CSL Continue doing you guys Some Pretty good workers and Jazmine is Good n fast
The staff is amazing , with workers like Tammy and Tamara I'm not sure what I would do , excellent experience and very polite.
I always have a great time here
The best place I've ever been! Mrs. Raye of sunshine is my best friend now she's amazing. Highly recommend!
Staff are really nice. They get you in and out. Staff don't mind doing there job. 8/15/17
Worst Plasma donation center I've ever been do. They often lose information, the few who do their job amazingly are unfortunately overshadowed by those who mess around too much and don't do their jobs, they don't offer bonuses like other locations do, and revoke front of the pass certificates often (if you're lucky enough to ever get one, most other locations hand them out like candy) I would ABSOLUTELY look into another location.
Always polite and professional, I recommend CSL for everyone! Staff are personable and nice making donations smooth and comfortable
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
