Worst experience ever. They only have one phlebotomist on shift. And somehow you manage to be here longer than your first trip when you come back in. 3 hours is ridiculous for a return trip and hardly a line at all. Makes a person wanna do illegal shit to make money.
People shouldn't have to go to medical and be put back in to the same line . At least put them in the fast lane. Now I got 3 people ahead of me. And another 20 minute wait. Ridiculous.
New Donor here, from a town an hour from this location. I knew I had to schedule a 3-4hrs initial "New Donor" appointment. I also knew I had to bring my DL, SSN card and Utility Bill, within the past 60 days. If you're thinking about donating plasma here, take my experience with a grain of salt. I arrived 20mins before my appointment. The 1st lady that met me at the door, even said "You're early!" She checked my DL, SSN card and Utility Bill. She instructed me to have a seat and someone would be with me. I
Under Staffed! You will wait HOURS! UPDATE: MR. Q. Station Asst. Manager stepped up today! Once he realized how long people were waiting, he reacted!
I went in to save lives I had my scooter my purse and a bag of Skittles So I chk in w my phone and there's a white girl behind me still in n the keosk and I go put my bag of skillets on the wall where everyone that donated stands I left my keys in my ride that dropped me off so I run out side and grab my keys come back in to where I had my stuff in line and the white looks at me and says that can't save ur place so I ask the ppl thatdo the vitals and she said by basically if you leave the line u go back to
Getting screened by Kira, and poked by Kacie makes for a great visit to CSL! I've been coming here for 4 years this summer. I've witnessed the quick in and out, the 2+ hour wait time, the employee turnover, but they are always friendly. I enjoy every interaction with at least 95% of the staff! Great crew here! Keep it up!
Experience was great until my second donation when Mark completely missed my vein and cause pain at my puncture site. Currently waiting for their CMD to do their job right because when writing down the report they forgot to set a guideline in regards to when I can be cleared to donate again. Got to wait another 4 days to see the idiot who messed up the report. Also previously tried to come in the last 2 days to see medical for this and both times had to wait over an hour before leaving out of irritation of
I love my first visit the staff was very friendly and me feel welcomed I will definitely go again!!!!!
Incredibly inconsistent facility. I've been in the building 5 times now just to be turned away every time due to "staffing issues" or they change the times they take new donors. Every time I call Im told 11-2 and when I get there before 2 they have always "stopped taking new donors hours ago". This is particularly frustrating because I work normal business hours so to get there in their time frame means I have to take time off work every time. That being said my rating isn't for the full experience because
Kassidy, Brooke, Kari, April and Angie are all great. They go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable through the donation process. They work hard to get everyone through as quickly as possible. I appreciate feeling safe when I come in.
I have been donating for 2+ years. I am a platinum donor and well aware of processes and wait times. I came to donate today and I have a small bruise from previous donation. Was sent to medical where I was told now I have to go back to screening, stand in line again, where they will send me BACK to medical before I can donate. What sense does this make? Two screenings and 2 visits to medical. The nurse red banded my arm. I've legit been standing here an hour already. Is this how much you value your re
Longest wait ever! Only 1 person doing pre-checks. Only one person to start draws. Management needs to change! Took me an hour to get in line to donate!
I have been there 3 times in the past week All three times I was given a different excuse why they couldn't take a new donor and given a time to come back the next day which I did. Donated regularly in a different city a few years ago. Never had these problems. I guess they think because I'm older that I have all the time in the world to stand at their reception desk. I won't be back
CSL Plasma is a very special place. Money or circumstance may bring you the first time, but the staff will have you running back every week. These people not only know how to treat you professionally, but also like you're their friend. Especially Kat, she takes the time to get to know me, and it makes me so happy knowing that she is gonna remember me for next time. She really is one of the sweetest, friendliest, and funniest people you will ever meet. The entire crew at this location is a group of people, I
Went to donate today and told I couldn't because I was from Nebraska. They are the closest place to donate to where we live. Was really bummed as I wanted to donate and then donate the money to a family in need for the holidays. I was not told why just I could not as I did not have a zip code that was on their list ????
I went in today as a first time donor, when I told the lady with a cane at the front that she rolled her eyes and shook her head. She was phenomenally rude to me as she told me what I needed to show her as far as ID etc. I felt so disrespected just because she had to do her job and I walked out. It's such a pity to be treated in such a way especially because this place seems to be one of the only plasma donation sites around here.
They do not follow their own posted inactivity policy and often steal points (which can be converted into money) from their users. This review is for the company in general. I have always had good experiences with the local staff in Rapid City. *Responding to the response. I already did call and contact them. They fixed nothing. This was how I figured out they do not follow their own policy.
Almost everyone here is so nice. I have no issues donating and has donated for more than 3 years! Brooke, Brittney, Angie, Shawna so many nice people! Those are the names I can think of. I laugh & visit with them all. Feel like I'm getting to see old friends.
I haven't seen anyone post about it so here we go. I'm not a big needle person but I wanted to donate. I had to wait until after I was 4 months post new tattoo which I understand. They are very thorough in your screening, yes it takes time. This clinic is very busy. Much busier than I thought it would be. Everyone was super nice. Had some laughs with some of the techs. I was a perfect teaching moment for new staff as I have a lot of tattoos and piercings and we had to go through all of them. I felt my stick
Kalina really went above and beyond to ensure both my boyfriend and I had a smooth experience and went through every question and obstacle we put her thru! We were not easy to help and she really went all out to make sure we got to donate and was super kind. Overall everyone was incredible. Thank you everyone and thank you kalina!!!
I wasn't able to donate that day but I still got paid.
The employees are all great. But there is not enough of them. Whoever upper management is at this facility should understand that the longer you wait to donate, the more likely you are to have a reaction. Coming prepared and hydrated doesn't matter when you're waiting 2-3 hours in line at times. Then they took away the snacks or there never are any. To me it doesn't seem like whomever is in charge really cares about the wellbeing of their donors. Your employees are great but you are severely understa
My husband decided to give this a try. He was given written documentation and verbal confirmation on his first donation that the he would earn $85 each for his first 4 donations if done within a month. After his fourth donation, he was told $50 would be loaded to his card. He was then informed by staff that it was $50 due to a policy change. What a crock! CSL should honor what was presented to him before he even started with donations! It's about the principle of the situation and honest business practices
I have been donating for 9 months, I have waited in the lines, I have been sent to medical for bruises, I have never been disrespected here. I do feel sometimes that they are tired. But I would be tired too being short staffed. But they are all still there the next time I donate, I believe they are doing their job for the same cause and reason we donate. For the people who we all helping . Good job Jenn, Nica, Jeromy, kat!!I would like to make a suggestion to have some folding chairs in the line for the do
I have been donating at this facility for over a year. I took their safety requirements for granted. The wait time at this other facility was the same as here only they did not clean the booth in between donors like they do here. They screamed a color letting you know where to go instead of how they personally come get you and seat you here. They did not change their gloves between donors like they do here. I feel so much safer donating at this facility. I know they have lost and gained a lot of staff this
Anytime I go there is a 2-3 hour wait. It has gotten worse since they started making you wait in 3 different lines (check-in line, screening line, and the line to wait to get a seat to be drawn). They get 2 stars, because the staff is pleasant; however, they are unable to do anything at an efficient pace because they are understaffed and overworked. It's frustrating to wait all that time, but unfortunately I will continue to spend my time there, because it's basically free money. If you come here, just be p
Overall not a bad experience. I did however have one negative experience with one of the doctors. A birthmark on my hand should've been documented. It wasn't, so I got sent to medical for the first of two unnecessary times. She said I had to wear a mask. This is how it went: Me: *rolls eyes without saying anything then puts mask on* D: Don't be rude Me: stays silent with mask on D: if you're going to be rude, I can cancel this visit. Me: I'm allowed to have an opinion D: You are, but that doesn't give you
3 months later*** Oh dear lord, this place has taken a turn. Let's just say it's Saturday, I got here at 6:40 (they open at 7) there were 8 people already in line. They have all new girls (2 of them) up front. They couldnt figure out how to unlock the front door, so was outside for 5 minutes looking thru window. It is now 7:48 and maybe 4 people have made it to the donation floor. Ahhhh, they are hiring 17-18 people cause nobody in the US wants to work anymore. I keep telling myself that I'll donate till Xm
I have been trying do donate plasm for over a year. I couldn't because of blood pressure. Your staff needs to understand that not everyone can use the portable monitors. I even advise your staff that the reading would be high. My blood pressure is always 142/80, this facility is the only place where I have not been able to donate plasm. I been seeing a Dr. for the last year monitoring my blood pressure and everything is great. So today I go back to try one more time. Tried to answer questions on th
They are a little bit understaffed but make up for it by there great attitudes. They are very friendly especially staff member Hailey she's always seems to be busy but makes time to stop and ask how I'm doing. Another good thing is They always try getting you in and out as quickly as they can. Only bad thing I can find to say about them is how cold it get well donating.
Nice place to donate. Except poor staff members don't seems they want to work or like to work. There's a lady that can't tell between blood and dry skin. Lol. She also thinks she is a professional doctor. But like I said, the place is nice but the staff is a joke. They don't have any energy, no great tones of voices, they're all boring, sounds like they just wanna get the customers done with so they can go home. I am starting to feel unsafe if these employees can't seems to take their jobs seriously while s
I always enjoy my visits. All the staff are friendly and do a great job. And knowing I'm helping people is a bonus. Casie is always kind and friendly.
Tried to go in as a new donor, because I wanted to donate. Was quickly turned away as if I was a complete inconvenience for them. Will never go back. I understand there are wait times and they may be short staffed. But it seemed like I was wrong for going there.
This is an amazing way to help others and your pocket at the same time. Do the amazing. ??
It's sad how they don't care about their donors, I understand they do not have enough staff but they should inform us they are closing earlier so we can plan our visit. Maybe send us a message on the app or something, or when we are planning our visit through the app it shouldn't let us select hrs when they will not be available.
Great team. Excellent rapport and quick/easy process. Kalina is my favorite though, she is a bright star among the staff.
2nd time trying to donate plasma. First time I arrived around 11:30 and did the app to let em know I was coming so they could adjust their staffing, or that's what the app says anyways, got there and waited for 30 minutes until I had to leave because I wouldn't have time to complete the process as I had only taken 3 hours off from work. 2nd time I got there and again did the app thing, arrived and waited for ten minutes, lady comes up and says due to staffing they can't take new donors until 11, understan
I tried donating plasma for the first time ever today. The young lady that did my initial intake was very nice to me. I got a really bad vibe from the nurse that had brown hair. She was doing my physical and I SWEAR she was looking to see if I was a druggie or something. Like she wanted to check up my nose, the inside of my elbow creases, and around my ankles even. Umm I've never even tried a cigarette in my life, let alone crack. If you're so worried about people being crackheads, maybe you should UA every
At first I thought it was me but they poked me wrong and I bruise so then they now said oh well you can't come back for 2 months like its my fault. They treat you like your a child. They make you stand for hours in line with rows of empty chairs. They do not know to prioritize at all and when one goes on a break they should have someone covering for them. Employees standing an chatting with one another when they could jump in to help. Employees are not very friendly.
Wouldn't transfer me into their system for no reason from another csl even though every other csl in the country does that. Front deskt lady refused to listen to what I was saying or let me donate.
So I love Karen she is one of the best ! The rest are pretty good but she is the only one I will let touch my left arm ! It sadly has gotten me deferred with less experienced Phlebotomists. The reason for the four stars is, without Karen it's a 50/50 shot if I am going to be severely bruised each time. With that said everyone is nice and professional and I appreciate all of them.
You can usually expect a long wait depending on the time of day. It's not uncommon for the wait to be longer than the actual donation time but once you get to your he donor floor it's a pretty quick and relaxing process. The staff is friendly and the payouts are fair considering the time you spend there
There is an opportunity to improve CSL check in and processing efficiency ss well as donor satisfaction. Currently the CSL system requires a vitals collection during the screening process prior to seeing a nurse to update records for medical procedures. If the process was adjusted to allow donors to head straight to the nurse, the donors could avoid waiting in an additional line. This would increase donors satisfaction and possibly improve reporting of medical procedures.
I always feel taken care of the staff is caring and work well together!
Not worth the time to always wait on medical for the same scratch. Depending on the nurse whether or not you can donate. Getting turned away. If you have a job you're often waiting a extended period or declined all together.
I have donated plasma for years at various plasma centers in multiple states. The Rapid City center was fine at first, with longer waits than most plasma centers but nothing out of the ordinary. In the last few weeks though they have fallen apart and provide dismal service. They are under staffed and unable to keep their doors open. When they close early they provide no notice, and if you call in to see if they are open they don't pick up. Just today I called in at 3:30 and they told me they would be clos
There may or may not be a long wait but that is expected. There are a few consistent staff members that excel at what they do, timely & in a friendly manner. They make the experience worth it. But generally, you'll deal with newer techs. Many of them arrogant and rude, underqualified. It's almost not worth the effort, at least until another plasma facility arrives.
It's frustrating to spend 3-4 hours every time you come. Not enough staff! They need to put chairs in for the people who are waiting for hours! More empty beds that full but enormous lines!
They only care about the people who have been there before. If your a new like I was you will wait over a hour and have no one talk to you. Or start with you unless you wait there all day. Not worth the 100 bucks. 1/10 recommend
This center is garbage. Understaffed, poorly trained, and rude. HALF of the donor floor isn't even being used. ALSO the compensation isn't the same as other centers, they pay well below what I was getting in TEXAS. I used to enjoy donating, the process usually only took less than an hour. Here at this center it quite often takes MORE THAN TWICE THAT LONG. I work two jobs already so I dont have that kind of time to waste standing in line. The way that they treat their customers is appalling. I wish I was exa
Employees are always very friendly there donation usually goes smoothly. Check-in process after you become a first donor is very fast and efficient. note to new donors check the website for things you need to bring with you such as your driver's license social security card proof of residence like piece of mail or lease piece of mail has to be within the last 30 days
Jen is always smiling and happy to see me and very professional sticking to the rules with a good sense of humor??
Compared to the Plasma place I used to donate at (which was pretty good in its own right) this place is amazing. The building is new and looks great when you enter. The staff was all very nice and the woman who inserted my needle was excellent. I didn't feel anything at all.
Very disorganized place of business. Clear many hours out of your schedule to be able to donate, the only plus side is some pay but must like very disorganized places that sometimes forget about you. They are always adjusting the needle for who knows what reason. Also they didn't wrap right the last time so I seriously leaked blood everywhere! I never had that happen to me in my whole life and took some serious effort to get it to stop and my regular nurse said it was a mess up on their end to make that to
This company really needs to take a look at their screening process. I spent over 3 hours of being shuffled through their process( 4 techs before even seeing the med person who makes the final decision) only for them to finally tell me im not eligible to donate?? All of these techs ask personal medical information - why do they ALL need this before im even approved? Isn't it a scary thought that you are smart enough to collect plasma but lack enough common sense for your screening process...?
Worst CSL I've ever been to. They eventually get the job done, but it takes forever. I've also been deferred a few times bc they always mess up sticking me, and I end up w bruises. At first I thought it was bc it was a new center, but over a year later it still happens. They also have a hard time keeping track of who got seated/stuck/finished first. Usually it should be first in first out. But I've witnessed people sitting for 20 minutes after they were finished donating still waiting to get unhooked bc the
Always good. I do wish they had more phlebotomy to keep the lines moving but overall I think it's fine
Disappointed today after only receiving 45$ today when Thursdays this week I received $45. I donated on a Thursday and Saturday and got $45 and 60 Saturday. I been donating for years now and this happens today?? ??
My irst visit was 5 hours total but this is the longest visit I guess. Identification, video information about donations and kiosk, in person questions such as tatoos with a fingerprint taken, blood and protein tested, doctor physical with more questions, then wait in a line for plasma to be taken, lasts about 40 minutes. Finished. Next visits are walk in and wait in line for the donation.
I've never been to another donation site like this, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I do however, have plenty of experience with customer service and theirs is horrible at this location!! I have been to this site at least 6 times and have yet to donate?either their doors are closed due to understaffing or the lines are horrendous! The staff is so extremely rude I turned around and walked out. Customers shouldn't be treated that way and the compensation they offer is definitely not worth the time
I am grateful to donate it helps me a lot. During screening the lady doing my screening ripped the cuff off my arm, had an attitude. Other staff are friendly and I'm thankful for them.
Love coming here kacie does such a wonderful job every time I come in. Always such a relief knowing how bad I hate needles she is always there to make sure I have a wonderful donation. Thanks kacie keep up the great work.
As if 2 lines weren't enough, they added a third! I have come here for the last time. It's not even worth it anymore. I wasted over an hour this morning waiting around and didn't even get called up to do the screenings so I just left. This place has gone way downhill.
I have been donating for a year at the plasma center. I haven't had any issues since I've started. The staff are very nice & good at their jobs. Great way to earn extra money.
Spent 2 hours getting signed in, only to be told I'm not eligible. Maybe if they listed eligibility criteria online they wouldn't be getting a 1 star. Also, when I called in as directed on their webpage, they refused to discuss eligibility criteria.
The staff is awesome. They do their best to keep things working and moving. Some days are very busy but they do great. Very professional business
It pays well at first, but poorly after the 1st month. Overwhelmed with clients ,they still managed to push all candidates thru by 7pm.I suggest more employees, better pay after the 1st months
Here lately the lines have been short and they have gotten me in right away. I've always had a good experience with them always walking me through everything they do and thanking me for coming in
The staff is super friendly and professional. I love knowing I receive the best care by people When I come here to donate and help save lives.
Been coming here since beginning of the year. The staff are always friendly and I like how they are very informative of the procedures and quick to help if a problem arises
Staff are always friendly and helpful. Wait times vary based on time of day, but I'm typically out within 1.5 to 2 hours.
The staff is typically very friendly and the facility is clean. Wait times have been slow at times due to inadequate staffing but they seem to be remedying that.
I am wanting to give each employee 5 gold stars because everyone is great.
Friendly staff, clean facilities. Can get a little long of a wait at times, but staffing is rough everywhere. Would recommend.
I have been donating for over 1.5 years. This place is really friendly and thorough with their processes. They know you by name and always thank you for your time and donations!!!!
It doesn't matter what time of day it is they must only know the word slooooow cause everyone that works for CSL plasma moves very extremely slow except two people. It is most irritating when u have been on ur feet ALL day and then have to stand in line for a loooooonnnngggg time.
Lori the blonde lady with glasses gave me the worst experience ever.shes th worst person with a bad attitude needs to find a new job or something.
Not the greatest, staff not good at providing information. Phone message misleading, you may have to set up an appointment days before you will be seen.
Diana was doing great at the frogoing attitude and good attendant at her job
Never feel the needle stick when Jeromy sticks! Always a great experience. :)
Don't go here to "donate".....not really professional either....they told me to bring documents and I brought them.then they said they weren't the corret ones...then they told me I should go eat a large meal then come back....so idk.....I don't recommend "donating" your plasma there
Don't go to first visit with any undiagnosed injuries or you will go through the several hour screening process for nothing, to include having to rewatch the agonizingly long video again
Great place to donate unfortunately they can't staff enough people to handle the lines. I've been denied donating because I can't wait that long just to be hooked up to a machine to sit for another hour.
Even if 7 people pass you because you're sent to medical because of stick mark from them they make you wait behind them seven people even though it took 20 minutes to even get called in for an arm check that just sucks when I wasted that time
Normally no wait time. They do a amazing job of getting you in and out. Very friendly staff
The staff is fantastic. Very polite and serving. I enjoy EVERY time I donate.
Kari and Kalina. My two most favorite people when I come here!
Very sweet staff. Can't imagine their job is easy but they're sure troopers and the incentive program is perfect for anyone struggling with a budget atm.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
