The phlebotomy staff is quite good, but it is clear that they are unsupported by management. Managers are happy to lean on the counter while a huge line stands waiting for service. A number of the best staff have recently left, probably for this very reason.
I'm into health and was doing this to help people. I take typical supplements I was told they couldn't take my blood after two hours doing an intake because of the supplementation. had to come back later so I stopped all supplements them came back three days later . Spent another hour and a half and finally was told I can never give plasma at their place because one of the supplements, the medical director doesn't know about them, never heard of before. I'm a medical doctor and ran a research company for y
The safe was great and Patricia took her time to explain everything. The pay is not worth it. To have to sit and answer all them questions and go though all of that for only $100 it's worth it. I went in because it was around the corner for me. I should have went somewhere else who offers more for 1st Time donors. People are taking time out of their day. You ask 65 questions and questions keep asking the same questions over and over.
My first donating was quick and easy! The staff there are great. I hope my second time will be as smooth
The staff was very helpful they made me feel good about donating and feel comfortable every step of the way I would definitely recommend donating at the RVA 524 plasma
They need a concierge service in the front of the building. They need more literature for new donors hanging signs on the ceiling of the building.Great Staff of employees in the front and the back of the building. All of them were very helpful for my first visit. Big ?? outs to my girl "Avis" for ?? sticking me right. ???? ???? ????
This was my first ever donation. Tiffany was so kind and helpful. She explained everything very clearly and made the experience a pleasant one
Great place, great staff, slow process tho not anyone's fault, will come back and donate again. Keep up the great work guys
Staff always takes care of donors. It feels good to give back & know that you may be helping someone else and making a difference.
I never did this before it's my first time it took about 3 hours to do everything but it went by so fast and the stuff were very nice and answered my questions I'm so scared of needles but it didn't hurt at all I got done with donating and as soon as I was done I called the number on the card and my money was on it I went to Walmart and bought food I'm so happy I went today I felt bad about taking money because I had a blood transfusion 12 years ago and it saved my life but I need money to eat I'm thankful
Staf was pleasant and welcoming. I felt as if I was a part of the family.
The new Machines are Amazing plus the workers are very humble and professional.. I like CSL better than any other??
The staff was very friendly and polite. The building was very clean and they made me feel welcome. Great personalities.
I like the staff here better than the other locations I have visited. As others have mentioned, It would be nice if the bosses helped the staff more.
Staff was friendly and helpful. They thoroughly explained the process and were available to assist as needed. My experience as a new donor was pleasant and I would return.
I actually prefer this place to all the others I've been to. The staff are the best
Update: Terrible Service. I'll leave the word customer out, because we're not even viewed as humans to them. Came in on a Saturday 3/30/2024. Arrived at 0700. The staff seems as thought they walked in a 0700 as well because they were powering up and turning on the systems, instead of being ready to receive and serve the customers at 0700. The lady opening did something incorrectly and they had to power down the system. We waited in line for 50 minutes. No apologies, no additional compensation for their mess
Treated terribly by staff. the nonchalant, unapologetic, and inconsideration of people time is disgusting.. Why make someone stand in line for 20 min when im looking at empty seats available! They do it purposely so you walk out and one less person for them to have to do THEIR JOB for!
The female Staff sticking people is WAY TO SLOW!!!!!!!!!! I sat in a chair for 20 / 25min before one them came to stick me . N it was only 2 people before me. Made me late for my doctors appt. Just moving slow taking they time like nobody else has stuff to do & places to be . Kinda why people go in the morning to have the rest of the day to things they need.
There are many words I want to describe this facility? The LACK of compassion, empathy & sympathy; that the staff at this location don't have? The Staff at this location needs to be reorganized to be revamped into a new team.. Cause this staff NOT ALL, but the females upfront are really rude? They rush you, just to fail you. Instead of allowing me to get myself situated these people, are so focused on making the line shorter? INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON MY HEALTH & TIME.. The Caucasian lady with the crutches sai
They are really slow. I waited 3 & 1/2 hrs. I got here at 11am and didn't leave until 3pm. All the employees just talk, stand around and move slow. Their setup is awful and slow. Makes no sense at all. If I could give them 0 stars I would. The worst experience EVER!!!
Everyone took excellent care of me and I enjoyed my donating experience. I would recommend this location to anyone!
I came to this location because of an ad I saw on January 9 2023. So I signed up to donate and then presented the picture I took of the promotion and the manager said they cannot honor this promo. So yes I suffered a loss of time under false pretenses. The promo specifies a monetary amount at this location and no dates. A lawsuit sounds pretty great at the current moment.
I have never in my life witnessed something as ignorant as this so called place of business. They did nothing but waste my time! I was a returning donor, it would have been my 18th donation and for the first time some lady questioned my eczema on my arms, because I had discoloration on my arms! NO ONE HAS EVER MENTIONED MY ARMS EVER SINCE I HAVE BEEN COMING! She sat there and called her manager just for her to tell her I was fine to donate! Then she goes to tell me I need to wait ANOTHER 10 MINS BECAUSE MY
Was told not to come back because I had a question about why should I have to describe 1 by one of my 50 plus tattoos I feel I haven't used profanity nor did I use aggression why is it so easy to just kick anyone away from services from simply asking a question i will take this to cooperate untill I'm allowed back my family and friends didn't have to do what I was asked to do and all of them attend this donation center
If you go here make sure you have at least 4 hours these people are extremely slow..there could be 10 people waiting, half of the beds are empty and they still stand around..and this problem has been going on for years..not weeks ..not months but years..they provide no chairs so you stand and if you got a bad back..too bad..this fall squarely on management not the employees...they help..get it for them!!!!!!!
It's a risk , be patient & be hydrated & active & nutritionally safe prior to visit
Managment is rude. They also have some made up new doners skip to the front of the line rule. You can be there waiting an hour and people just skip right in front. No other centers do this. They only do it to get people in to make it seem like they arent slow and just milling around. Half the time theres a line and they dont set up all the machines?and yes they have enough phlebotamists 1per4, they have 3-4 on the floor.
They were friendly and good here even as it is smaller than the other CSL in Henrico. This center is also lower paying per donation than CSL Henrico, but the staff is more experienced and pleasant in conversation.
Ok so I gave 5stars because of the service. Its May 2022 so for the month it $50 each visit for the first 4 times and $60 for the second 4. I myself would recommend Mercedes, Necole or Zo (the only guy there who seems to know what he is doing). Pretty good place for some extra bucks when in a bind for this high gas prices!!?????
This location is BEYOND better than the Lakeside center. I wish I hadn't wasted THREE HOURS at the other location and just driven the extra 15 mins to this location. NEVER making that mistake again. Everyone here was kind and professional, and I absolutely cannot say the same about Lakeside.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I have donated plasma at Octapharma, and never had any issues but CSL? Omg. Nothing but. Let me explain. My trouble began before christmas. I came in to donate as a new patient for the bonus, and explained that I had donated at another plasma center earlier in the week(but more than 2 days apart) it wasnt until I had been in the building for about 4 hours that I was told that "You cant donate for at least a week after donating at another center when you're at a new plasma center" and I
Nice people. Explain everything
The best place to donate. Clean, polite, professional people. And better pay! And I've been to a few different plasma centers
Does CSL allow the facilities to make up their own rules or is being rude and not knowing your job part of the training. Efficiency and courtesy goes a long way.
Horrible service basically ignored my presence I am here now I've been here since 1:40 it's now almost 5:30 I'd like to be compensated for my time as it's been wasted as other new donors who came after me were able to donate before I can get screened horrible service
This place always refuse me to donate plasma in here. First the nurse said I had to eat before I donate which is I did but she still refused me, the second is today which is I clearly answered all the questions in the kiosk and even scanned my fingerprints again after I am done, and they said I still not answered a single question. Your system issues is not my problem. Heck this place is the worst!!
Horrible service Half the employees dnt know what there doin stood at front desk for 20 min and no one could help or even tried to tlk to me
Muffin the best sticker and personality is awesome hope y'all appreciate her because she have great techniques she need a raise
Good customer service in and out Patrick is a great phelb. And also he interacts with customers.
Said I came down twice only came down once early was told five minutes then I could do questions waited an extra 30 minutes. Needless to say I won't be coming to work.
I finally became brave enough to donate and they tell me there not taking first time donors now! Drove from pg here! Disappointed majorly will not come back ever!
The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff is superb
The worst center to come to a bunch of liars non professional don't know how to stick people correctly....unsanitary Disgusting unprofessional environment it should be close down
These people kept stabbing me intil my arm was covered in blood. And the use foul language. Very rude
Everyone is awesome! However, Necole made my experience wonderful and made me want to come back .
Today was my first time donating plasma and everyone there was really nice and very helpful and patient with me. I highly recommend!
Had a great first experience ! Very friendly
Friendliness, cleanliness, professional, nice pace as far as wait times before donations!
Ong I swear this place is such a drag dude like I been here from time to time and I never expected this place to be the most embarrassing place to be.
Nice place great staff love the energy in the whole place
They didn't accept a dated picture of my piercing because my face wasn't in it
They are real nice! Everyone is patient and friendly.
I love their customers service
good donation center random long wait times are expected from something like this
VERY rude and unprofessional staff members!
The live status says not to busy but its 20 people waiting to donate smh
Told me I can't come back anymore Bernstein they can't find a vein
Don't go here if you weigh to much. They will make you leave
0 actually but 0 do not allow rating real crooks
In and out. Very professional
Good place to donate
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
