Will these people ever get more than one person on working on vitals and front desk? Ultimately this long wait times will be eaten by the staff for operating hours. If you have a problem with employee retention maybe actually listen to what the problem is instead of running a skeleton crew and neglecting patient care. I honestlydont know what the hold up is half the time. As someone that used to work for a plasma donation center, this is a Staffing or misappropriation of resources for sure. You make million
Everyone here is very caring, patient, and helpful. It's a very clean facility with fast machines. I was very impressed with the efficiency of my phlebotomist. Note: allow up to 2.5-3 hours for your new donor appointment, since there are questionnaires and screenings to complete. The process is faster when you're a return donor.
No chairs and no appointments. Walk inside only, so you can wait anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours before you get sat down to donate depending on how busy they are. On top of not having chairs, this makes the donation experience really bad and I find myself making excuses on why I can't donate. My schedule is usually only open when they are busy, but even going at opening it took an hour and a half to get sat down with 6 people in front of me (I was the 7th person to get in that day) This wouldn't be so m
I walked out before even donating the first time. Was told to wait for checkin as a new donor. Sat 30 minutes before I got someone's attention. From there they handed me a packet to go over and told me to watch a consent video. I already did during my 30 minute wait. Then the lady at the desk asked me when I watched it. I explained to her when I've been sitting up here the last half hour. She didn't even realized I had been waiting to be helped. She then proceed to tell me it was going to be a while. I will
Went in here this morning as a first time donor and as soon as I walked in John came right up to me said hello and said ?we are short staffed come back at 9:30a? I said okay and then told him I'm a new donor he then demanded I hand over my DL and proof of residency. I informed him I called and spoke to a woman who said paperless was fine. John states to me no we don't do that and handed me a $5 card for my inconvenience and an envelope with CSL on it in red letters asking me if I knew what a postage stamp w
UPDATED REVIEW 06/21/2025 As we can imagine, the experience was absolutely horrible as I've given it a 1-star review, which I rarely give out. Here's why: 1. I had waited for over 45 minutes in my donor chair waiting to be greeted and stuck by a staff employee after waiting an additional 30-45 minutes in line to be seated when there were available, ready chairs. The supervisor Xotchil, was in the donor area and seemed to be micromanaging staff phlebotomists, directing them to baseless and pointless change
I haven't been able to donate because the nurses are lazy. I been waiting for almost 3 weeks to get the approval to come donate but I haven't heard anything. Might have to donate somewhere else.
The machines are loud and the staff don't seem to care about the machines. Don't bother bringing in head phones. It's going to be an unpleasant experience. They have new machines on the back wall, been there for 3 weeks. Also they only have a few machines available. Only running on one full wall and maybe half on the second. The staff seem to have no since of urgency when you are completed on machine, so don't come if you think you will be out in an hour or hour and a half, my visits typically take closer t
Would give 0 stars. CSL has become trash. It used to be good for people who are trying to help others by donating plasma. They recently got new machines which cycles faster so they're getting more donors through. Shortly after they eliminated a rewards program for frequent donors that have bonus payouts and also reduced their payouts for each donation. So CSL now is getting faster donations which leads to more donors while also lowering how much they pay for donations.
It's honestly miserable here if you donate in the afternoons. There's usually only one person doing vitals, so the line gets backed up pretty easily. Then when you go to wait for a bed, you'll probably be standing in line for at least an hour, or sitting on the floor. There should be more chairs or benches available for donors because not everybody's gonna be able to stand that long. Some people are old, or have bad knees, or are just tired after working all day. Shouldn't have to sit on the floor in crampe
I haven't been able to donate because the nurses are lazy. I been waiting for almost 3 weeks to get the approval to come donate but I haven't heard anything. Might have to donate somewhere else.
Amanda Doan is a fantastic manager and really turned this place around. I'd give 10 stars if I could.
This place sucks Can't stick my arm the right way so they move the needle around then it causes bruising and now I'm not allowed to donate because THEY couldn't do their jobs the right way.
A phlebotomist named ?Jae? roughly stabbed me with a needle then yanked it out and said she hit an artery, then roughly wrapped my arm up so tight it was swollen and purple and then told me i couldn't come back. Right before this someone was walking around yelling with blood coming out of their arm while she yelled at one of her coworkers to go re-wrap their arm. 0 star experience. Very ghetto and lazy employees who seem like they don't know how to or want to do their jobs.
If I could put zero stars I would. I got yelled at for texting after told I was allowed to text. I had been there for 3 hrs and tried to update my husband on why it was taking so long and nothing was done. I waited for 30 mins before I was helped by the first person. And only one lady was running the front desk. She was very nice but she was all by herself and you could tell she was ran ragged. This experience made me walk out and leave crying because of the way I was treated. I will never return.
Update 9/3 everything has been perfect once I was able to go back. Really love the people. Sometimes it can be super busy, but they're trying their best. Edit* I went on Tuesday [7/16] and my usual vein would just not cooperate. I have never let anyone use my other arm cause the veins are small and you can barely even see them. The phlebotomist thought she could do it even after I expressed I've never let anyone do that arm and I was a little scared. She wanted to try it anyway. As soon as she stuck, it sw
I'm a regular donor at this location. Everyone that works here is fantastic. They remember my name. We joke around a little. They really make you feel comfortable. There is one youg lady that is an absolute stand out. Her name is Rowen. She'll put a smile on your face and give ya the best care. They're all great people. Sincerely, Francesco
Does anyone work here?? I called several times yesterday, chose the option to "speak to a member of your helpful staff" No one answered. Ever! No one called me back. If you need plasma donations, ANSWER YOUR PHONE!
Great staff and very friendly! I love to donate to help others. I am glad they all made me feel right at home. Feel like the staff is my family. I have experience other CSL donation places when I go out of town. They are not like the Round Rock location. The Round Rock location is certainly the best! Always welcoming me with a smile and easily to talk to.
CSL has a beautiful and clean clinic, that being said...the corporate office must not take into consideration the opinions of staff or donors. They are extremely under staffed, (not sure if the pay is worth working there) but they need to improve their process to expedite donors check in. They have 4 desks to do donor checks, and there is rarely more than 1 person, then this "new enhancement donor experience" is making the wait time to well over 1 and a half to 2hrs! Only one phlebotomist actually sticking
Worse service every nobody wants to work the line at the door no sense of urgency
DO NOT GO HERE, I'll save you the time and not give you the story since management refuses to give me answers to reasonable concerns and questions. GO TO GRIFOLS.
First donors are supposed to receive $475 within the first month of donating. $400 for the first 4 donations, then $75 on the fifth donation. I was told I had 30 days to complete all 5 donations (which I did). However, when I came in for the 5th donation I was told I was only getting $47? I talked to management and I was told there is a cut off period of 2 days so in reality I only had 28 days to complete the donations, I was NOT told about this when I started the process of my first donation. Nothing was d
This is by far the worst plasma donation center. They are so understaffed. It's actually quite sad. I feel so sorry for the employees here. They seem so stressed. They open at 7am and it's 8:18 with a ton of people outside waiting.
Front desk staff (if there are even any on shift) are rarely actually AT the desk, and if they are, they have no clue how to help you. The majority of the staff members are very pleasant to interact with, but it's clear they aren't being paid enough (nor given enough training) to do their job to the best of their ability. My donations have been painful and/or uncomfortable Every. Single. Time. PLEASE GIVE THESE PEOPLE MORE TRAINING. They only ever have one person doing screening tests, eventhough they have
Have only gone once but the place is small, clean and the people that work there so far have all been nice. The front desk guy, the lady that checked my blood, the guy that evaluated me, the lady that checked my veins and finally the lady the hooked and unhooked me were all very pleasant. For some reason all the people in line to donate seemed irritated. The only think I can think it could have been about is maybe because they seem short staffed but that's no fault of the employees. I like that you can answ
It was my first time donating plasma and my experience was great! I ended up throwing up during my donation (due to not eating enough, completely my fault) and the staff was super nice and very helpful! The nurses even helped me clean off my face and gave me a scrub top to change into. They made me feel comfortable and taken care of. Thank you to the staff!
Incredible performance, better service than others I've paid visits too. Big thanks to Arianna for patience speed and professionalism in such a high demanding work place. Will be visiting again.
Celeste the manager was very professional today and was able to help me to donate today and help me donate today highly and recommend
No matter what time you go, there is ALWAYS a massive wait, even at 7 am. I showed up at 7:15 am and didn't leave till 10:15 am. 3 hours!!! And that wasn't even my first donation which meant it was supposed to be shorter than the first donation. I almost missed my appointment after because of how long it took. Very very understaffed. They always take their sweet time. It's like waiting for a ride at Disney world. If you are going to come here, give yourself at LEAST four hours. It sucks but that's how it ha
I would highly recommend. Everyone is so nice and professional. And from my experience, Rowan is one of the best. She alway has a positive attitude, very kind and every professional. 5 stars from me.
I always have a great experience when i go donate. No matter how busy or empty the place is, Ally is always super positive and in a great mood which sets the tone for the experience. It wouldnt be the same without her.
It will take 3+ hours. 1hr to get screened 1hr to get seated 1hr to drain The employees are over worked and have very little training, DO NOT LET THEM READJUST. I got a bruise from the "readjust" and they almost denied me on my 2nd return.... It is run by toddlers, at any point half the chairs are empty with 20 people waiting in line. Management does nothing to steer the ship right. U r better off selling your organs on the street corner than waiting for these jokers to give a damn. Any plasma collecti
Marcy made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. She stuck a needle all the way in my arm, making me bleed, then she tried to blame her own incompetence on me moving my arm. Only problem being that I didn't move my arm. Everyone else is cordial, friendly, and professional, but one bad apple will always spoil the bunch. I'm done with this place. I absolutely do not like the way Marcy made me feel. On top of that, she tried causing a scene that I'm not much for being a part of. Being treated like that is definite
Amanda a small Asian girl should was talking about other patients while putting the needle in and put it in wrong. Another person had to fix it because she just could not stop gossiping to do her job. People like her don't deserve to be in a field to help others. Thank you to Xochilt way nicer and actually cared about her donors.
There are 4 plasma locations within 14 miles of my residence. Two of them are CSL, 1 Biolfe, and 1 Grifols, out of all them CSL is the most relaxing environment. Out of the two CSL locations, Round Rock is the best. The flow of the center is comfortable. As for employees they have some of the nicest to come across. Rowan is always in a positive mood when I am fortunate enough to engage with her. T.T. has a super sweet demeanor. Marcie is always a pleasure to interact with, always makes your feel good to b
Staff is nice. Place is clean. But the lines are always ridiculously long. Not enough staff. They only have one area open to donate when the second part is never used. The process takes longer than it's supposed to. They have only one girl in the front to check ppl in and do the pre screening. I've been in line for over an hour waiting to be screened. ??????? it's not the employees fault but management. Hire more staff!! Get it together. Saw so many donors come and leave, that's donations that could of bee
I've been coming here for a little over 2 years. Everyone has been super friendly and helpful! Xochitl, Jae, Enoc, Marcie, Amanda, Nay and many others that I have met while being here. Though sometimes the wait is a little long, I do not mind as it is for helping others!
New to donating at this facility, and although the machines may be a lil outdated, the employees were all so kind and treated me very nicely! This is refreshing bc I've had the opposite experience at other companies. So far I'm loving CSL Plasma.
I never thought coming for the first time to donate blood with my partner was to get discriminated of our sexuality As a LBGTQ+ my partner was denied just for being gay after waiting for a whole 3hr and half just to find out I wasn't able to donate either I guess we aren't saving life?s just cause of our sexuality it is 2024 Almost 2025 you should get rid of your old world policy?s and have better policy
A staff member whose name starts with an ?E? (a Reception leader), wiped my finger then proceeded to poke my finger for blood for testing but poked it in a different area than she wiped. She also asked questions while the thermometer was in my mouth making it difficult for me to answer the questions. She speaks entirely too fast so it's hard to understand her. I believe she has gotten too comfortable in her position which leaves room for errors. She's sweet otherwise. The place is clean and friendly. I just
This location has some hard workers! Romie is amazing and helpful at intake, and Rowan and Jae are both pro phlebotomists. The staff make coming back worth it!
Do not waste your time. Their staff is extremely short handed and the staff that is there, move as slow as snails. You can ?make? an appointment but it doesn't actually do anything. Their wait times are insane but again that's due to their staffing issues. Also, if you look at these reviews, their ?owner? comments the same thing and never does anything to fix the problem.
Great facility with great staff! Everyone is so friendly and inviting. Both front desk vitals staff and donor floor staff are engaging and welcoming. Very knowledgeable and make you feel confident in their abilities with needle sticks. The staff do a good job building a sense of community with the donors and really do get to know you after multiple visits. Robert, Ally, TeeTee, Enoc, Marci, Genesse, and Rowan really make the place special! Round Rock CSL Plasma is more than just a plasma payout, they provid
I've been here so many times, but Rowan is so sweet every single time. She is such a an amazing phlebotomist and so attentive to everyone. I know it's going to be a good day when I get Rowan.
Just when I thought I was leaving one plasma center for another due to inefficiencies, CSL proves that ANY plasma center will have them. Tried telling telling the ?medical examiner? about issues I've had in the past to try and streamline my donation process at CSL but his incompetence makes me not want to come back but the fact that they pay more and have beds to offer because of barely any donors makes it the easier process with no hassles other than staff.
This place is dehumanizing I can't believe they would treat human beings as livestock! I am not only appalled I am hurt to even traumatized! I will be seeking legal counsel short staffed and/or not it's unacceptable to lash out at people who are of all things raising their hands trying to help others! Image I threw my shoe against as I raised my hand for attention that they tell you "need us raise your hand for us to come" EMPTY WORDS. I will be speaking to higher ups as wel as the manager "couchie" put on
This place is clean and the staff is always friendly and courteous. The issue is that they need to hire and actually allow people to work. They are seriously under staffed anytime I go in. Last Friday there was ONE woman checking ppl in and there was no less than 10 ppl in line at a time. I was there for 45 minutes before I even got to the donation area. Today, I'm here and there are 2 ppl checking in but the same amount of ppl in line. We don't get enough money to donate to stand in these lines but also to
Amazing staff, super happy with Amanda, Jae, Macie, Enoch, and everyone there. They had figured out how to help me and always set me at ease with a great smile and always willing to help me. Thank you all, especially Amanda and Jae
Just wanted to start off by saying the entire staff was so friendly and nurturing. As a first time donor I was nervous and Amaya, Ashley, and Britney just went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and taken care of. Because I am such a small person, I had a negative reaction to the machine's standard rate of blood draw. But as soon as they sensed my discomfort, Britney and Ashely enacted a protocol that reversed the effects. They were swift, decisive, and kind. Ashley then gave me wonderful adv
The staff are great and knowledgeable. Like the convenience of the location and no appointments necessary. Sundays have fewer people, and weekdays after 3 pm, the parking lot is a nightmare because of the gym, and CSL donors are coming in after work.
I will never go back nor refer ANYONE there! Amanda the manager, Ally, Sierra, Robert; Ect all are not professional! And their so called testing of samples that put the fear of god in me for having some STD and making me ineligible to donate only to have my Doctor run a full test and find I had a bacteria infection is completely unprofessional practice! I have a claim filed with the CDC on this location. Please stay away from it. It is toxic!
Beware if you choose to donate here! If the techs poke your vein wrong ( it took 3 techs all together grinding a huge needle inside my arm.) Chris finally came and moved the needle inside my arm and held the needle with his hand to set my machine to green light status for the 1st time that donation until i completed the donation. By doing this it did cause me a ((penny sized bruise.)) The lady nurse with the blonde hair made the decision to use a alcohol wipe pack to say I had a 2.5 inch bruise instead. I
The worst experience of donating plasma in my life. The staff is absolutely unprofessional, two employees could not get the needle into the vein, one of them pulled out the needle and my blood just started splashing onto the chair and everything around. Thank God it worked out right away with the second hand. I will not come to this center again. The center on Parmer is many times better. I came with the thoughts of helping people, I was inspired, but after giving in I felt like a used rag.
I like this person. What a great little gal. Is very compassionate and extremely talkative. She makes you feel at home and comfortable. I give her five stars.
Been waiting in line for over an hour while there are open chairs for people to sit in. A woman in a yellow vest just stands around. As a leader for this place she should take charge and start seating and start people?s lines! Terrible team work !
Very unprofessional! This location was ghetto and worried about gossiping about their coworkers instead of actually doing their job! My fiance went in as a first timer and was tortured. They went in on his left arm but completely missed his vein! Then, they went to the right arm and had him bleeding out profusely. They took 3 QUARTS of blood which one of the containers were OVERFLOWING. Mind you, they fill up a little tube for the sample! With all that nonsense we waited 3 and a half hours! Very unacceptabl
I visited the Round Rock location on 12.28.21 and was informed they couldn't take new clients because they sent their only nurse to help in the Austin location. I visited the Round Rock location on 12.30.21 and was informed that the system was down and they are unable to take people. I visited the Round Rock location on 1.20.22 and was informed that the temperature was not in range and the location was closed. Fortunately, the receptionists at the Round Rock location were extremely nice. However, the Rou
I've done 2 donations so far, and I'm pretty happy! First session takes a while just getting you set up, I think I was there for a good 2 and a half hours. Afterwards it's just a simple 1 hour, give or take. Staff is plenty friendly, making sure to ingrain in you all the safety precautions with donating plasma. For anyone interested in giving plasma, I think this is a good place! Be sure to eat a meal beforehand, they also tend to have snacks & water available. Procedure is pretty easy, you just get a nee
I LOVE Rowan ! She's super sweet and kind and just amazing. CSL really picked a great choice for a phlebotomist ?? never get rid of her !
Everytime I donate I'm going to start requesting for ROWAN!!!!!! 5 stars aren't enough I wish I could give more ???????? when she's poking me it's never a dull moment!!!! I will most definitely be returning!!!!!
You will wait an entire 4 hours while the staff is not on the same terms. Waiting hours and hours to donate for $50. So many extra things. Just go do Uber, no need to sacrifice hours.
Very great place to go donate plasma, very friendly and clean no waiting long as soon as I get there I get screened right away very recommended!!!!!!
One of the female senior phlebotomists that looks like a smoker insulted me over my appearance and asked if I was trying to make people feel bad for me. Really weird interaction from an employee before getting jabbed with a needle.
As others have stated, wait times are excessive. This is primarily due to staff shortage. And sometimes the staff appear to be in no hurry while there are 10+ people in line waiting to be checked in. Otherwise a smooth experience.
This definitely is the best Plasma center by far. Every member of the staff is attentive, professional and friendly, they like and care for what they do, you can tell. I'd like to give give a shout out to phlebotomists Christian Harland and Marcie Willingham two professionals who are masters at their job and make you feel safe with their excellent performance and attention, thank you.
Rowan Has stuck me the last two times and is really patient and gentle and knows what she's doing. She is definitely one of the best
Went there 2x and waited for hours and nvr was able to donate. Staff is rude and incompetent. This is supposed to be for a good cause and they screwed it up for others who need the blood. They shld close this location till they get enough staff who show up for work.
Love the friendly staff and the quickness of taking vitals and the needle stick would definitely prefer here over other places the pay is well and very friendly environment will definitely continue to donate here at the north Austin location
Great place to help save lives! The amazing staff is friendly and courteous, especially Rowan she's awesome and always performs perfectly! :)
such great staff , Dani was great
They started using all the beds and they been fully staff lately and moving really quick
The establishment has a great foundation and shows everyone love and compassion. Ms. TeeTee is always kind to me and makes sure I'm seen. Thanks TeeTee
Rowan always makes my donation process an enjoyable & relaxing one! The staff is amazing & are incredibly detail & patient-oriented
My sister and I wanted to go donate and when we got there we were told that we live too far away from the facility (13 miles) we made sure to have everything ready before we left so we checked the requirements before coming and no where on the website does it say that you have to live a certain distance. Wasted our time and money driving there when we thought we were totally prepared.
Rowan is great and I get very nervous and she always makes Me feel comfortable
Nothing like being publicly humiliated just to be deferred because people dont know how to use a scale. If you wear a prosthesis and are down on your luck, take up begging.
Went in today to do my first donation, I started at 0715 for my pre screening I was done at 0920. At 0930 they hooked me up to the machine and was done by 1030. Clean place, friendly staff, just make sure you have the necessary paperwork before you walk in.
This location takes too long and these young people they have working for them are just doing the bare minimum and don't care about getting people in and out
Great place, the staff is super friendly always making sure you're ok. They greet you and after only a few visits remember your name overall a great easy experience
I went in for my first donation today and the staff was very sweet and comforting. I felt well taken care of during the entire process.
Always a fast and easy check in when I go donate. Definitely my favorite donation center in the area. Britney was awesome! Highly recommend her.
Fast check in via online questions through your cell phone and get a scanable QR Code, unlike Biolife where lines get quite long for an even longer questionaire. And every time I enter (before I even scan to get tested) and exit I get acknowledged by Mr.Jost. They remember me by my face alone; and I love that factor wholeheartedly. It makes me feel like an individual and not just another number to be processed. People NEED to come here to donate plasma.
Rowan is so sweet and super helpful! I will certainly be coming back to see her!
First time donor - took a while to get through the initial onboarding but the donation went pretty smoothly. Arrived at 10AM left at 1:30PM.
I have come to this center a few times now and the ENTIRE staff is so friendly!! I'm always super happy and comfortable they really make the experience so much better beginning to end????
The staff is very friendly and always looking to help. They communicate really well on the floor and work as a team!
I've been going here for 2+ years and absolutely love the employees here. They are always so nice and helpful.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
