South Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53172
I went here on Monday. (I usually go to the one on chase ave. )And they messed my arm up. It's been getting worse by the day. Just horrible. Will not be visiting this location again.
Been coming here for 2 years. Since I been there some staff are friendly some are very nosey. When it comes to being poked some poke aggressively to where u can't donate due to bruises. Some staff that poke are not nice there rude when you ask them to fix your blood pressure cup. I don't trust new people who start there because they don't poke right the first time someone else has to come by and fix it and then your left with a big bruise. Lines are extremely long and it's frustrating. Less talking more wor
In my opinion CSL in So. Milw. Should be shut down. Their phlebotomists are very unfriendly and inexperienced at poking because they leave bruises, then they attempt making a 2nd poke on other arm with no success. Facility is dirty and it is poorly run by management Amy G. who is the manager. I was recently deferred due to a positive/negative plasma result after going there a year and a half. I then went to my primary doctor to get retested, results came back NEGATIVE. Went to two (2) specialty doctors wh
No urgency with doing medical checks. Poorly plans all nurses on the floor all at once. Lines move incredibly slow since the new machines came and there's only half the machines available to use so it creates a backed up line always. They make hundreds of dollars selling the plasma our bodies produce to give us 40 bucks back, and if you donate on Friday you can't donate on Sunday because they're closed (just about every plasma center including other CSL?s are open Sundays, this one used to be too when I fir
The Women at south Milwaukee CSL are very polite, respectful and very clean, I go here two a week for the last 6 years.
I've been coming here for about 6 years now. For the majority the staff is very friendly and very efficient. However, they got new machines that are faster but everything else has gotten Slower. Add the fact that everybody and they mama is coming to this location now and it makes for a long slow process. They've definitely taken a step backwards
The morning staff here is amazing. They are kind, quick, efficient and makes donating easy and fun. They smile and take the time to get to know the regulars. I really enjoy seeing all of them.
I have been going to CSL in South Milwaukee for over a year with no issues. The staff is positive and upbeat and eager to keep things moving along quickly. The rewards are not as good as Biolife but the service and staff make up for that
They took 15$ to 20$ from donors to pay for the new machines super greedy this place used to be the best place now it's slowly becoming the worst! Used to be 5 star ?? now they only get 1 just to be nice ??
I started going to chase because it's closer to my home, and never had it hurt when getting stuck. South Milwaukee is a good location everyone is friendly but I can't use my right arm anymore because the lady who stuck me messed up it always would hurt so bad had to switch to left arm which I didn't want to do and no matter how many times I asked don't stuck to far they did but never had it hurt once at chase. I mean everyone has pros and cons at both I like both locations I just don't like they stick at so
I've always had excellent experiences at the CLS Plasma donation center. The staff is consistently professional, friendly, and attentive. I've never encountered any issues during my donations. One particular experience stands out: a phlebotomist took exceptional care while inserting the needle. After sanitizing the area, she carefully removed excess solution before proceeding. She explained that she's a donor too, so she understands the importance of these details. This level of care and empathy truly impre
It's good to donate but cls has lied to customers in order to get them to donate. I'drecommend another place.
I've been coming here pretty regularly since 2016. It's a great place to go for donating plasma. The staff is very good and compassionate. And everyone is helpful!
This staff is amazing. Quick, efficient, and super friendly. They make you feel at home here and treat you like family. 10 out of 10 here.
South Milwaukee Location is VERY Friendly MUCH nicer, Cleaner than The Chase Avenue location- People here SMILE at you, talk with you, and are Polite & Friendly. Also out of 5 years donating at multiple locations- South Milwaukee has been the best at being able to get my tricky Vein with little to no issues! The FEW people who would have a bad attitude usually dont stay working there long. Even if a bit far to drive would Recommend South Milwaukee Location ESPECIALLY if thinking trying Chase ave location!!
Kudos to CSL in Milwaukee. It was a rocky beginning but supervisor Sarah made sure changes were made to ensure that all donors are being treated with respect and dignity and there not appear to be judgment. I have attended 4x with being able to provide 2x, but the team gave insight on possible causes and motivated me to return. Shout out to Amy, Larry, and the other staff especially on 5/18/2022, who kept donors entertained and pumping to keep minds off of wait time and donation time. ?? it worked. Others
You can only donate here if you speak Spanish or English. They won't take you even if you have your own translator. So in order to donate you must understand English or Spanish or you will be turned away.
I live in Racine and prefer to drive the little ways to go donate at the South Milwaukee (140) location. Very clean and professional and the staff is great.
Been coming here for almost a year the staff is very polite, handle you with care and the environment is very positive!! Recommend this location to any current Csl donors or if you're interested in donating
I was a little wary after reading such negative reviews, and I held off my own judgement for several visits now, but my fear seems to be unfounded! It gets a little busy sometimes and everything does take time, but the staff has been extremely friendly, personable, and helpful, and I've had a really positive experience each time. My only complaint is that sometimes the bathroom is a little dirty, and that's reaching. Thanks, CSL!
I have never had a bad experience here. The only issue I ever encounter is the large influx of people that come from out of area just for the bonus. As a regular I don't get a bonus, I donate to help people who need it. The staff deals with a lot of crap and those who seem to feel entitled. That does not work or fly with me. You stand in line, you wait your turn, just like the rest of us do. It's straightforward. If you don't like it, donate someplace else. I should mention that this location is alw
I have been going here for a little over a year and a half and honestly i have no complaints the staff always make me feel right at home.
This is absolutely the best experience in the city if you donate plasma. It's a joy to come and talk to phlebotomist like Rita, Jennifer, brooke, Nora the Explorer, Manny and Amanda, they are good people an if I left some out I apologize ??
This location is a joy to go to very friendly employees, clean and in an out service. my compliments to the management to their well-trained employees.
This is a great location to come to. It's always clean, staff is really friendly. I feel they genuinely like their jobs. If you're a returning donor and you get there early enough it is a very quick process as long as you drank lots of water before you get there. To get the money off your card I usually go to pick n save which is in the same parking lot. I'll go buy something for $1 like a snack or something because I'm hungry when I get done donating then I just pull the rest of the cash off in the same tr
The entire staff are professional courteous and nice can't name them all so I say the entire style makes you feel comfortable good about donating
I have donated at this center about 4-5 times now and each time the staff has been excellent especially with how short staffed they are currently. There have been a couple occasions where my pulse was too high due the first time my vitals were checked and on one occasion Christie (the woman checking my vitals) went out of her way to calm me down prior to checking my vitals again, she didn't have to do this but did anyways and that act of kindness to essentially a stranger just goes to show the kind of aweso
I love the location and the staff they are very friendly and supportive I only gave 4 stars only because I wish they were still open on Sundays. Great environment ??.
Very unpredictable environment. Some staff are nice, some staff are rude. Place is very cliquey if you get along with the staff they are great with you and provide great care, if you make any comment or don't understand what their telling you they go against you immediately and are rougher with you. The staff talk to each other constantly, (and about each other), when donors need their attention. Donors don't like to give feedback because they don't want to be treated badly and want to continue coming in
I love it here!!! The staff is great. I drive 40 min to this site when it's one 10min from my house.
Unprofessional and they stay in people buisness every time somebody uses they cards its a problem
I read a lot of reviews before I decided to commit to CSL. So far, it's been the same as other centers I have donated at. If you go during popular times, you will wait, but you just have to be patient. My average time there is close to an hour and 15- 30 mins or so. Most of the time is spent getting checked in and ready to go but once you're on the floor, donation goes pretty quickly. So far they've been good at coming over right away once I'm done. It has always looked clean. The phlebotomists are friendl
Love most of employees.. they have gotten faster with the processes maybe was short staff before but has improved
They handled me really well during the pandemic. But deferred me because their employees ruined my veins. They talk all slick at the mouth when you ask for accommodations. Not only that they said once I was deferred I started threatening employees ?? like for what? Over donating blood? They need to get serious lmfao.
I only gave three stars because of the service they're providing but just on the business alone at this location in South Milwaukee it's terrible. Their employees are rude, they take hours to get through a process that shouldn't take more than one hour. It's not that they're understaffed, its that they don't care that people are waiting, their side conversations are more important, like we don't have lives and are asking for a handout.. I thought donating plasma was to save lives not to be looked at as if
I wasn't really sure what to think about doing this, but needed some extra cash (don't we all?) which is why I thought of donating plasma. This particular location is in a decent neighborhood and in a strip mall surrounded by restaurants and other stores. My first visit was on Friday - they were extremely backed up due to an IT problem. I arrived at around noon and wound up leaving at 3:00pm because it was obvious to me that I wasn't going to get around to donating any time soon and figured I'd give it
Was a wonderful and speedy experience. Really treated well. Also to help people and get an extra couple dollars out of it to is a bonus!
Great place haven't had no issues. I been donating here now about 6 years Been donating for about 8 years now and I think I do have a complaint now. Whoever decided that the new donations fee have to be done within the month. I think that's the most stupidest thing anybody at this facility could have done. Like who are you to tell me when I have to donate? if not I loose my chance at a 100 dollars. Because of this I lost 200 dollars. This the first plasma center that I hear that's doing this. Oh and anothe
Pretty great place. I've donated here 5 times and I haven't had any bad experiences. It's super clean and has good staff. Something worth nothing is I consistently come during the early afternoon. The vibe and efficiency may be a different story when it's at a busier time. Expect to be here atleast an hour, even at a slower time.
no complaints from me, lines can be long some days, but the employees really do their best to get all donors in and out asap. it is a process tho, and if they rushed everyone thru people would flip out (& probably get blown veins), amirite?. i've never had bad service, all the techs/nurses, etc are thorough, gentle & kind. and other donors are usually friendly & fun to commiserate with to pass time lol Amber up front is always sweet and Heather & Jessica took care of me today even tho neither was scheduled
Always in and out quick. Times my iron was low they were super kind and curteous. I have deep veins that are difficult to get to. They assigned me the most qualified person. Great experience. Will definitely be back!
I've been donating plasma for YEARS and the only time I've ever had issues has been here and within the last month or so. Not all of your staff is trained properly. Management is rude. How are you going to take over a pint of my blood (without taking plasma) and then differ me for your employees mistakes? This place is an absolute joke.
Well first of all I wanna say the staff is very VERY rude and had no manners of any kind. I came in with my Fiance to donate and he had a copy of his Social Security card and the lady didn't even look at it and said "I can't take this" and looked at my mail statement and said it wasn't within the last 30 days, when in fact it was, and went back to what she was doing, no goodbye or anything..she was terribly rude. I called the next day to ask if I came into donate if I could have someone sit with me while I
This is the worst run place that I've ever seen. The people complain about how busy they are to one another as they stand around and talk. When I was getting checked out by there medical person she told me that I needed a slip signed by my doctor because of a pill that I was on. My doctor had to fax it to them 3 times because they could never find the first 2. I called them to see if there medical expert said that I could donate because they never called me. Whoever this so called expert was wanted more inf
Got there at 9 made it thru vital line no problem got to donor line that's where issues happen got all the way to being called and suddenly 3 people skipped in line. I get new they're new donors but if we all have to wait I feel like it should be fair they wait the same. Got there at 9 didn't get out until 1230-1ish
Very good at what they do, I just went in today rita s poked me she's good, I was out of there in like 35 minutes
This is the best plasma place I've donated at. The staff is always friendly, mostly. Rita and Kristin in the mornings are great, always nice and helpful with any questions. I've seen staff deal with issues from customers professionally. Small complaint would be the computers at check in arent always working, and lowering the bonus amount. Overall I definitely will keep donating here vs finding a different place.
Okay facility. Facility is clean. Workers have decent customer service. Only really big problem is that this facility is often UNDER staffed. They have 5 booths for vitals but usually only two are open. They also don't have enough staff to open all sections of the donation center. The sections they do have opened, are minimally staffed, barely meeting state requirements. If you come during busy hours, there will often be extremely long wait times. Workers often complain about the amount of staff on duty. Ne
I've been coming to this location for a number of years. The staff has always been super helpful and friendly and the location is always nice and clean
Oh man where to start , I've been going to the blood center of Wisconsin for 7 years now , and it was a very pleasant experience. Now ! Since the first day I came here it has been uncomfortable experience. From watching the staff Never change gloves between donors , the majority of the staff (not all) but you can tell , they just want to rush through the process of working with you . If this was McDonald?s I would brush it off , but these people are putting needles in your arm . I came because a friend rec
Jessyca the manager is the best hands down she gets the vital line moving fast when she's in that chair as well as the back , she put that's white coat on and gets to poking easy peasy no pain or nothing. If its your first time and you don't want any discomfort and your scared of needles ASK FOR JESSYCA YOU WONT REGRET IT ?? Shes my favorite always go to her for any questions and always to poke me ?? Never leaves my arm swollen or irritated ?? She needs a RAISE ???????
Came in on a slow Sunday. My wife try?s to donate regularly. I went in to try and do the right thing also. Got up and went through questionnaire and watched video to be sat down waiting for physical. Waited 15 mins then others started to come sit to be seen. I waited 45 mins while they called every person except me then waited another 10 mins before someone else came to sit down and was called in right away. Is this because I was new? If this is how to treat people trying to help by donating then good luck
I go here because it's 3 min from my house. Most of the staff is unprofessional and rude. I was never explained anything when I first started, just learned thru other donors and listening to what other people talked about. They treat everyone here as if we are just in it for the money, for me personally... it's not. It's definitely not a warm and fuzzy environment
Facility is nice and clean. But the lines are ridiculous. I've tried coming at different times of the day to see which works best and there's always a huge line of people and not enough staff to handle it. Expect to be here at least 2-3 hours for a donation.
Discriminated against me because of an old tattoo said they looked it up on google and it was gang related made me sit a whole hour just 2 tell me that. They said since its close to chicago they were worried someone might do something if they saw my tattoo. Was wondering why they made me last to speak to the nurse when i was waiting longer then the other people who were waiting. Imagine if all places could discriminate like that .They should write a warning or something drove from waukesha to get here and i
their medical staff has a member that might have never been to school. i went in for my screening and she told me i have a "swolen lymph node" which terrified me. so i made an appointment with my primary immediatly to be told that ALL persons that are legit know darn well that lymph nodes are not in the back of your head but on the sides of your neck.
The fact that they would staff 2 phlebotomists on any given day is just obscene. There is a line of now 28 people trying to donate and with no sense of urgency or care. Will definitely be my last time donating at this location. Oooooh yeah. I was a regular at the Racine location before I moved to the Milwaukee area. I am speaking about the South Milwaukee location. So after my return donation they deposited my money to a card that had been expired for 3 years since I was a "transfer" donor. Wasting another
Terrific staff and friendly as can be and arent judgemental. Very clean and quick, yes sometimes it can be a wait, but unlike other places they smile and talk to you, not down to you. And yes krista has the gentliest pokes.
I went here last week to donate plasma. I was there for a total of 10 minutes when they set me at the computer to start the initial process I realized I had left my phone in the room that they had me in to check my veins when I told them that my phone was in that room they walked in looked said it wasn't there. There were two other people who went in after me that's all they said they asked the two people and both people said no they didn't see it they never asked them if they had it. I asked them to call t
Never have enough staff. Came early on a Saturday. Only one person working. She has to set up the machine before she calls the next person!!! Been waiting since 7:45 and still not in a chair!!!! It's now going on 8:30 WHERE'S THE STAFF!!!
There is no consistency. Today Cassandra was the manager on duty. She was sitting in the back while there was only 1 person checking vitals. I stood in line for 40mins. I finally got to get vitals done and was told that kim deleted me from the system because I was in line to long. I then had to go and register again and get back in line. Associates had no one on the floor and no one waiting because it was taking to long. Remember I was in line for over an hour just to get vitals done. Not once did Cassan
The lines here are ridiculous. They never have enough staff and clearly the manager is too clueless or just has zero respect for the donors to let us continually stand in lines for HOURS before even beginning the donation. This place is horrible. They take advantage of the fact that people need money. they don't care at all about our time.
Have about 60% decent experiences but there have been quite a few incidents where they've dug around in my arm repeatedly bc they couldn't actually find my vein when I've NEVER had a problem donating blood or getting my blood drawn. Idk if they just have very inexperienced staff or if I just truly have issues I've never had before w my veins. Also staff is often rude & tries to treat you like an inconvenience bc they are busy & short staffed:-\
Only thing I would recommend is that when a person reaches Gold member status it is acknowledged without them haveing to ask. And instead of getting a three month pass to the front of the line, they should get a punch card with 26 punches to the front of the line that they can use as the see fit through the year. Who wants to be the person skipping one or two in line just because you can?
This is by far the worst CSL Plasma I've been to. They're so slow. You'll end up being in this place for 3hrs just to give a donation. The staff is short which I don't understand how when you have about 15 other people walking around. It just doesn't make any sense. If there is a chair open tell the next person to sit down not wait 30 mins looking at an empty chair then another 45min waiting to be stuck. Outrageous. I been to 3 others and they managed to get people in and out with way more donors then this
1st visit on a Thursday: while in the donation area, a man was told to keep his mask up over his nose. I noticed others who also didn't keep their mask on but no one said anything to them. No soap in the restroom and all 3 hand sanitizers in the lobby empty. I tell the screener; she says she'll tell the janitor. 2nd visit the following Monday: I ask the young man ahead of me in line if he would please keep his mask over his nose but he refuses, asks me if I work there and why aren't I telling this other man
This place has the rudest people there. Most employees are lazy. I spoke my mind to 1 of the women who was being very disrespectful. I go back a year later and i couldn't donate because I told her i shot up drugs. She changed my information after i snapped on her because how was i going to donate the year before and now im a drug user. Smh. Its a joke with those ppl
I waited 25min. In line for finger poke. There were only two people ahead of me. The girls doing the vitals would do one person then take a break then do one person then take a break. Then a guy with some kind of card got to jump in front of me. There would never be a wait if the girls stayed and did there job instead of taking a break after each person. I'm not the only person that thinks this.
Thanks to the people in this place especially Desiree Rita Amanda Brooke Nora Angie, because of them that's why I'm donating excellent place to be thank you and I'm happy to donate for years to come
I've been donating here for a year. You learn which days and times are best for you. I love the workers (most of them, anyway) I have some friends who donate, and, even though they go 2x a week every week, seems like the staff there, always around 5th or 6th donation, they find something that keeps them from donating, which affects their eligibility in getting their 8th donation bonus. This is what just happened to me today. It's upsetting when you're disabled and count on the menial compensation you get. A
This place can b dirty cuz my fiance got turned down saying he has something and I know the fact he doesn't so I think someone here wasn't wearing gloves and maybe they had a cut on their finger and also not enough staff and to much talking cuz 2 staff members the one day was complaining they didn't want to work cuz it wasn't their day to
I'm starting to enjoy the promotions also since I've been coming here for more than a year probably a couple I've got to admit staff is ok to me & respectable just kind of wish there was more staff though but I have to admit they're people just like any one of us day in & day out
My first time here took forever; the staff seems unprofessional at times- very friendly though; I'm usually in & out within about an hour if the line isn't long. Over all experience is good though. ?
Girls are friendly polite good at their jobs never had a bad visit
Obviously a good cause to donate to. Especially since you get paid for your time. But this place is a joke. No one who works here knows what they're doing. They're not trained properly and when they make a mistake they could care less. Deferred for the day. (For the second time) because they pressed the wrong button and you can't undo it. And a hematoma twice because when I tell the phlebotomist my vein is on a angle they think they know better and do what they want. These plasma center workers ne
I love going to the one in South Milwaukee because the lady?s there are nice and friendly
I've been treated with respect. People in general have been nice. Donors not staff are the issue. They act like spoiled children.
Just have to say that the South Milwaukee is bringing business to the community and also the employees are very nice and those who are not I can only name one!!! But great service and wish they could up the donation amount they give ya for saving life's......also want to say they do need to hire for someone for just customer service....like answering phones, clean the kiosk and bathrooms etc.... I sat on phone for 10mins for a small question.....
My compliments to the staff and their well trained staff! Extraordinary experience!
Ok I love how you go in and ONLY 1 PERSON IS CHECKING PEOPLE IN WITH A LINE WITH A LINE OF OVER 20 PEOPLE WAITING.. I GOT THERE ONE DAY AT ABOUT 10AM I DIDNT LEAVE UNTIL ALMOST 2:30PM.. YOU KNOW CSL PEOPLE DO HAVE LIVES TOO.. WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT 3 HOURS TO DONATE.. YOU GUYS NEED TO DO WHAT BIOLIFE DOES MAKE PEOPLE SET UP APPOINTMENTS TO DONATE I NEVER HAVE SEEN A LINE IN THERE EVER AND THATS THE TRUTH.. IM SERIOUSLY THINKING OF GOING TO BIOLIFE. ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO I GET IN EASILY AND DONATE I THEN PRO
If you have at least 4 hours. This is your place. Their profits, more important than your free time. Sad. Will be my last donation here. Time for a business that values MY TIME.
They are ALWAYS understaffed. People complain about how much they don't like their jobs, and they complain about taking their breaks when they have only been there for a few hours. They definately do not work with any type of urgency.
Well the donating proses is normally smooth but lm trying to call them they put me on hold for 20+ mins now n I just wanted to know when I donated last ? She put me on hold for a second time and didn't even take my info of what I was calling for she just said hold on n put me back on hold !
Horrible place. They are rude and they only want white clients. Very racists. The lady wouldn't let me donate because my veins were green color
Pros u get $50 for first 5 donations. Cons: understaffed so you would be spending about 3hrs not worth the bonuses after 5 appointments. Also they will call u to take a seat in the room to donate but u will be waiting 30 extra mins to donate
Terrible, there's like 5-6 ppl on the floor, nobody is setting up for the donors, 3-4 ppl standing around the screening spot, & they are all talking & to find out corporate is here, you think they would be on there P's & Q's, awful
Very fast super nice people always take care of me :)
Very clean and nice place. Friendly, professional staff. The only knock on the facility is that they need to get one more front desk member on staff.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
