Used to be a great way to make money. Now they want you to set 4 hours to set it up. Then when you get sent away for a scraped knee they want you to start the process over. There is no need to make someone do all that again in a 3 day time frame. Then said the nurse would be talked to for telling me that like you would expect I can come back see her and start from that point. She was very nice and hopefully does not get mistreated over csl doing a non logical way.
So overall, this was my first time at this center and I thought it was pretty decent actually? I had read all the other reviews and I actually thought it was a good experience. It is a long wait.. but no longer than I had to wait at another center in town. so for a first time, I think it was pretty much right on target. I didn't have any of the side effects that I had in another plasma center. My phlebotomist did a great job. I barely felt the needle go in my arm. I had no side effects while giving the pla
There's a lot of room for improvement here. The people are usually nice enough but the wait to get unhooked is always ridiculous. Instead of all properly trained techs doing whatever task needs done, they have certain techs dong certain things. So frequently you have people waiting to be taken care of and several employees just standing around talking because that's not their assignment. Leaving this review from the chair and 20 I've been waiting for twenty minutes to be unhooked while four techs stand arou
They lowered the pay to cover their new machines. Then at the same time they only open two rows now so everyone has to stand up there for 3 plus hours just to end up getting paid less. Why get new machines then only use half of them? The staff thought it was funny when I brought that up to them. Laugh in my face when I ask a legitimate question?.. This place completely sucks now. Lower pay, they never change their gloves, they barely wipe the beds down so they're sticky and gross, and they usually only have
I had an unfortunate experience and would like to share. The I.V. was inserted improperly during my last donation, about a month and a half ago. My red plasma fluid went outside my vein, and begin filling in pockets inside my arm, bubbling and swelling under the skin. I at random found another donor that this happened to. It nearly happened twice to me, because I noticed a pain from the I.V. miss only the donation before that. Concernedly frequent occurrence; friendly community awareness, thanks.
Made an appointment for 6pm and went in. We were told that we won't be seen today and that even though their site states they have a $700 promotion, you will only get $500. Her attitude was horrible and left us feeling completely unwanted. Will never go back here to donate or recommend anyone go there.
It's the slowest center I've ever donated at. I've donated at 5 different centers throughout my lifetime and every single one moved faster than this center. Bill is pretty cool but overall I've had some disappointing experiences.
I swear this place has some entitled employees that need humbling, I had just finished donating and was awaiting the needle to be pulled at my arm, so I look over at the employee standing next to me his name was parker with blue hair and he look at me and said don't look at me and he literally made another lady from across the room stop doing job just to disconnect me and when she got there I look and him and said oh look someone who actually does there job which he replied you act like that offfeds it not
In the last 2 months, change pay rate 3 times Why do they keep taking more money from us? When they make a lot of money off of each bottle. Staff is great Corporate sucks
If you have a scab on your hands or arms from work, they will have you rip scab so they can turn you down for open wound. Be careful of the games they play.
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST DONOR CENTER IN EXISTENCE! THE MACHINES ARE ALMOST AS SLOW AND LAZY AS THE WORKERS (ALMOST) ! THE STAFF HAS ONE GEAR 1ST - LOW AND EXTREMELY SLOW !! YOU WILL WASTE YOUR ENTIRE DAY WAITING IN LINE HERE !!! HORRIBLE PLACE TO DONATE !! THE WORKERS NEVER. CHANGE THIER GLOVES, THEY WALK AROUND LIKE BRAIN DEAD BLIMPS ! SLOWLY FLOATING AROUND TO COMPLETE ABSOLUTELY A LITTLE AS POSSIBLE !! THEY WORRY ABOUT EVERYTHING GOING IN ON IN THE ROOM INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON THIER JOB ! ITS ABSOLUTELY
Staff isn't very professional. Significantly backed up every time I come. Be prepared to wait more than an hour before actually getting hooked up.
I've never once seen anyone change their gloves. They wear the exact same gloves for the entire time they're on the floor poking people. That means they have disinfectant cleaner on their gloves (from wiping down the beds between donors). They have iodine on them, from each stick they do. And they have who knows how many microorganisms (infectious or not) on those gloves from touching dozens of people, inserting needles into veins, person to person. It's not their fault that there's a saline shortage. But
I donated all my plasma and I've been laying on their bed for twenty minutes with a needle in my arm. Made this review while waiting.
Their app says to bring a driver's license and SSN card to the center but it doesn't say to bring a piece of mail with your address on it so be sure to bring one with you. Their app says that alternatives like a utility bill will work for the DL and that a paystub/W2 will work in place of a SSN card. Kinda pissed that I got turned away because of that. Here's the exact wording in the app. Someone tell me if I'm just misunderstanding it somehow because it doesn't sound like I need to bring a driver's lice
I went to this place a lot a month now or more. And Ipad issues they put the needle In my arm Wrong or they stick me hard. It really does hurt but they are nice. But I really do a suggest. Train your nurses more better. Employees One of my family members is in the medical field in. He suggest only do it once a week. It can damage your body if you do it twice a week or more. And I did research and he's right. So I don't know why they said. You can do it more than two times a week. Another thing please tra
Katie B is an absolutely exemplary worker, she works in the back with the actual donations. All I ever see her do is working her tail off, always bouncing between beds, checking on all the donors, helping other workers, maintaining a clean workplace, and offering wonderful customer service. The Location is great in and of itself, but Katie definitely deserves a specific mention.
I have been here several times. Thinking maybe I was just seeing things, but I wasn't. The front or the back never change their gloves. My final straw was when I watched a guy use germ x on his GLOVES. After sticking someone already. Each time I went I would just observe just to make sure my eyes were working. They were because I would see several workers stick, then move on to someone else. Not even one glove change in between. Also each time I went everyone seemed disorganized, lots of chatting, and stan
Never once have had a bad experience, I've been going to CSL for almost 9 ish months, and every single visit has been pleasant, and EVERY SINGLE STAFF treat me like family, go in on a bad day, and it will get better, every one smiles at you, and they make sure that your comfortable, shout out to Mr. Perry ( I hope that's his name) as well as the big gentleman with the pink hair!!! Always chill. Freaking LOVE IT HERE!!!!
I didn't know you can travel and donate, I'm from Texas decided to stop in and they said yes, very friendly, clean, not too busy???????? Go help save a life today??
This place doesn't know how to accurately take pulses. They can't take it through sleeves for whatever reason whenever other places have no problem it. They don't understand the concept that pulling ones arm out of a hoodie or long sleeves raises peoples pulse. They also don't take into account the anxiety that occurs whenever patients have to retake their vitals and they have go to the front of the line and stand some more only to then walk down a hallway (all of which raise the pulse). Also their nurses n
Last time I donated they were short staffed, so was long process. But dude in the back I swear just ramed the needle in my arm. Hurt like hell.. I think if the employees got issues with their work environment then they shouldn't work with people and doing what they do. That was messed up. Dude was just upset and complaining find a different job then
Love coming here. Colleen is my favorite screener and she is so nice and quick. In the back they are very professional, I have a couple people who know how to stick my arm very well, and they don't mind taking their time to meet my needs. Been going for 7 years and can't wait to continue.
I know this is gonna sound forced, or like it's some form of coerced lip-service, but seriously, I have donated at different places unrelated to CSL in the past. Believe me when I say, at least for this location, it really is a great place to donate plasma. The staff is friendly and helpful, personable and good-humoured. Instructions and rewards are explained clearly, and the staff really is knowledgeable and encourages questions and concerns. For absolute real, if you're looking to start donating plasma, g
Phenomenal phenomenal phenomenal crew whenever I have my car is falling they made sure even at the last minute came through help me out to the best you can ask for more from a great group of people.
I had a great experience with CSL! My first visit was on a Saturday, but I was able to go through the entire process (onboarding, physical, and plasma donation) pretty quickly. I also enjoy the positive atmosphere- the facility is clean, their rewards are great, and the staff are friendly. Drink your water and eat healthy meals, and you'll be good to go!
They are really amazing and are my peeps. All the guys and ladies that assist are really personable and down to earth. They create a level of comfort that eases the whole process. This is a team, and I enjoy their company while I'm being assisted. I have to do a shout out to their employee Atlantis, because she begged me to and she is one of my top 4 favs there so dropping good vibes and love. Thank you CSL Plasma for this experience and love. Namaste.
This place does not want donors they told me a month because of a larynscopy then I go in today and am told the other doctor doesn't know what he's talking about it is 4 months because they don't run the equipment threw an autoclave and reuse it ...well he's wrong too the doctor absolutely puts them in an auto clave and actually they used a starilized disposable one on me so. They just want to be clique like with who the choose
Was 3 donations away from being a platinum donor and they told me my protein was messed up over the phone so I couldn't donate any more. When screening they say my protein is always good but sending it off in a lab somewhere says it's bad. I work 12 hour shifts of hard labor and am perfectly healthy but oh well what do I know.
If you don't mind standing for 2 hours with rude phlebotomists , this is the center for you!
I have not been yet but would like to know how much you earn on the first donation
Don't go there I was wrong kicked out for waiting for my girlfriend to get done donating I would not recommend that place plus they don't know how to do there job
Usually this is a great place but today they let someone who walked in after everyone else was told on the kiosk she couldn't do an interview (who said this outloud) skip the whole line of people doing the right thing and called her to a nursing station instead of someone helping her in the front! This is unacceptable and the lines and people need to be monitored better.
I am writing this review to shout out Deasia the screener I had today. She was not only pleasant, friendly, and professional. Deasia took her time to make me feel comfortable with a great attitude even though the place was packed. I truly admire people that go above and beyond. Someone give this girl a raise!
There's always going to be a crowd when donating or could be . But this center does a great job handling the crowd and even tho sometimes they are understaffed they still manage to keep the line moving and are very kind. Especially Kathy up front she is very patient and kind. Bri is awesome as well always nice funny and gentle with the process ??
I want to thank Taylor for assisting me with my assessment, prior to donating. Every time she helps me, she is very sweet, carries nice conversation, and she is helpful in answering any questions I have. I am also assisted by Bri who hooks me up to the machine. She also is very friendly with me, and takes the time to see how my day was. I appreciate them. Each visit has a friendly environment.
Hi I'm writing this review for Michele and Elkai. Give these two a promotion!!! They always have a genuine small and intelligent small talk to share. They both stand out and above all of their peers!!!
Basic human rights, quality control. My main issue is the angry leprechaun nurse. He said he's a Dr. I don't think he is. Didn't know what glycerin is but told me its not good for me. Went on about how I need to live my life in the 50s. Women need to keep their mouths shut unless spoken to. I sighed and rolled my eyes because it gets old. This infuriated him. Thusly, I was deferred for my protection for two weeks. All the whilst angrily punching the keyboard. He read aloud to me that if I was ABOVE 130(??)
always a great experience coming to csl! the staff is amazing!! coleen, elkai, crystal, and bill feel like family atp. they're all so funny and work hard to keep me comfortable and entertained :) -Victoria
I've been going here for over 20 years. The staff is friendly. I'm usually done with the process in about an hour. It can be hit and miss some days until you find the right time and days for your donation. The staff make your wait go as quickly as they can. Some days many people want to see them all at once those days can have a longer wait time so if possible come back later for a shorter wait. And remember as a donor you want to remember that the staff are working hard and have a ratio to maintain. I love
Have been with them for a short time but the have rude employees and refuse to answer the phone. Don't waste your time with them. Go to biolife instead they are friendly and actually help you when you have questions.
Hey! I know things have been rough in the last year! But things are definitely getting better. They are working on getting more staff and improving proficiency and I have truly seen the changes. I always love seeing my regular staff. I have been going in the evening so my favorite girl is Misty. She is my saving grace when I go. She makes donating a blast. All the staff are attentive and makes sure we donating safely and effectively.
I just wanted to say I've noticed a much needed improvement in the overall donating experience from a year ago here? from shorter wait times to get into the booths, more staffing in the back, and less tension between coworkers on the donating floor. My last two months of donating twice a week have been great! I have certainly noticed a difference in the moral there ever since Josh has been on board. He is genuine, kind and so positive to be around! I would also like to give my thanks to Pedro for having suc
They put a flyer advertiseing bonus for Christmas for a week then because corporate gets there head up there ass they jerk it away I think someone should sue for false advertisement.
This place is ridiculous, they turn away people who are perfectly healthy because they won't accept someone who the only address is a motel address, who just moved to the area , the plasma they could get from that person could help someone who really needs it, and the person donating it needed the money, I'm someone was on the other side of this my fiance needed life sustainable medicines but the hospital didn't have enough blood or plasma related medication, and he ended up dying. it's really unprofessiona
I go in knowing safety is their #1 priority and also their ability to get us in and out in a timely manner, to top it off. Shoutout to Bre for always sharing her gregarious personality with the donors. She is a professional, no doubt, and undoubtedly, a notable face of this particular CSL location. Never had any issues, but have had lots of laughter while sitting in them chairs. Much appreciation to everyone I have interacted with, thank you.
Wanna give a shout out to all of the staff. But I wanna recognize Danni specifically. She's always done a great job sticking me and always makes sure I'm comfortable after the stick.
Just started going there and so far everyone has been super helpful and friendly! Everyone here has been very nice and treats you like a person not just an arm they have to stick! Bri especially stands out. She's very professional and attentive.
i Had the best experience with you guys. Otisha was a great worker she explained every step from start to finish and it went smooth like she said. it was a great experience overall i?ll definitely be back!!
Hahaha im jorkin my shit. And by jorkin i mean pumping, and my my shit, well, haha, i mean my blood.
I've been coming here since October and I love the home feeling it has because I'm able to have conversations with different people. Bri was my phlebotomist and she is incredible. They are very professional and I'm glad to keep returning.
I've been here multiple times & the staff are always great!! They always make sure that you're feeling okay during the donation & im usually out of there within 30 minutes! ??
I have coming to this center for a long time. I have to say that the last few times that there has been hardly any waiting to get your vitals taken and then when you get to the back they are getting you going extremely fast. Today from the time i walked in the door to the time I was getting back in my car was 1 hour. Today was by far the fastest its been in a very long time. They have hired new people and are utilizing everyone! Keep up the good work!
I am almost a platinum level donor, and the Springfield crew does an excellent job! Was recently screened by Alli and she did a wonderful job. Very friendly. Donor floor staff treats you very good and will visit with you as they can.
I used to enjoy coming in to donate but in the past year it has gotten really bad. The wait times are horrible both to be screened and for hook up. Only a few times in the past year have I waited less than 45 minutes in either line. The staff are all very friendly and do work hard and I understand that they are short staffed but when the lines are backed up they need to have more of a sense of timing. Instead of chatting about personal issues work more on getting the patients through the process.
I love donating at CSL Plasma. I get in and get out quick. The staff are amazing. A special shout out to Bri, who usually gets stuck sticking me. She does absolutely fantastic. She never misses, and I have no issues! Thank you so much for making my experience great!
Katie b is one my favorite workers, she is always gentle and I like talking to her. She is Awsome
Have been donating for years. The staff is all friendly and cheerful. Especially Bri, who is not only good with me but very patient with other techs who are still learning. She is delightful.
I been going to Csl for years and there been a lot of workers coming through. Their best worker is brianna.she is always friendly, has a smile on her face. She always make sure your doing good through out your donation time.
Bri is an amazing person. Every time I am there, she welcomes me by my name. She is professional and personal at the same time. The rest of the staff are fine too.
Bri is the best! I have been donating for years and Bri is always professional. Bri always uses my name and makes me feel appreciated. She is very timely and smooth. The rest of the staff is good as well but just wanted to recognize above and beyond service.
Staff is awesome! I have been donating there for a few years now and have gotten to know many by name, Vickie is one of the nurses, very friendly, helpful and efficient. All of the phlebotomists are careful and make sure you are not in pain and have a good donating session. Some of my favorites are Bill, Pedro, & Michele. One of my favorite disconnectors is Elkai, always has a smile and is fun to talk to. The whole staff tries to get you through as quickly as possible, though sometimes that is difficult due
My visit today was a great. Short time waiting. Kathy checked me in and she is always nice and Sweet. Bri hooked me up and she is always nice, sweet and funny.
October 2023 By the fourth donation they had accidentally drawn a large amount of red blood cells. So now my body has to replenish the missing RBCs and I'm deferred for 2 months. A pretty impressive screw up to have on someone who's only been going less than a month. Pay is also worse than BioLife as of writing. April, 25 2024 Was actually planning on changing the review if a year went by with no incident. Here we are half a year later and I'm missing a donation because they marked me for a protein issue
Kathy is great ??. I was having trouble with the new app on my phone and she stayed with me and helped work through the problem. Now I can access it very quickly. She is always there with a smile and a helping hand to make the day and donation go better. She is a big asset to the CSL Plasma staff. I can always donate at some other facility, but staff members like Kathy, are the reason I donate at CSL on Glenstone.
I've been coming here for a long time, and I've gotten to know lots of the staff. They are very friendly and helpful. The staff work their butts off, and can't always be 100% focused on just one person. There have been several times I've had to wait in line for a while, but that's expected anywhere you go that gets busy. It helps that most of the regulars and most of the staff are willing to engage in conversations with you to help take your mind off of the bad. It's a good opportunity to help others whi
Katie, Alli, and B are awesome, friendly, and helpful. The rewards payouts have been really slacking as of late. The hourly bed reward was sound in theory, but every hour I was there during the start of the hour, they forgot to hand out the bed awards. And all the things that put us in the doctor office are really getting out of hand and tiring. It's hard to want to show up to donate the hassels are less worth it than ever. And the dang computer flags for far much. The doctor staff are over working beca
I always have a good experience when i donate at CSL. Sometimes the line can get a little long and the wait time is aggravating but i personally have not had a long wait time in months. All of the screeners are pleasant and make the screening process fell like catching up with an old friend. The phlebotomists are rock stars. I have only had one person have trouble and it was just her second day so she did great for just training. Bri rocks though, she has gotten me hooked up the last two times i have donate
Great place to go when you need some extra cash. Process is quick and efficient with fast and friendly service. Try to arrive in the morning or evening for quicker wait times.
Kathy Bond not only provides great customer service but she truly enjoys her job. She goes out of her way to be sure to help everyone that asks for assistance. Keep up the good work Kathy.
Place is gross stinks and takes 3 hours to get through go to bio life
Kathy did a great job disconnecting me. It was quick and painless. Every time I come in to donate she is always pleasant and has a smile on her face.
Alli was genuinely super kinda and they are always good to me when I'm there. They have to deal with ALL kinds of different people too. Sometimes I wait long and sometimes I get right in.
Well you know this place hasn't always been the greatest, but they've really improved in their payment system and their timeliness. You just got to know what time to go. My favorite part is the staff especially Bill and Elchiar and Crypto Chris. It's actually become a bright spot and two days in the week. I look forward to. It's much better than the customer service at BioLife because these employees have heart and the care about me. The thing I like the most is that they let me be who I am. I especially wa
Otisha made my first visit awesome and she comforted me through the whole thing and it was easy and I will be doing it again soon...
I had a great experience with CSL. Before trying them I tried the other place in town and was not impressed at all with their customer service, I ended up not donating with them. Despite the reviews I decided to try CSL and wow am I impressed. Every employee I spoke with was very kind and helpful. The experience was pain free and I had no issues donating. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it could use some updating and it would be really awesome if they offered appointments.
Bri is one of the only people who is constantly sticking and always showing up to work , conversates with the donors makes us feel comfortable when I saw Pedro a year ago I was like he needs moved up she needs moved up,also savannah is great also friendly very nice lady also love her piercing ??
I enjoy donating for CSL some of the staff are great at what they do and at the most part friendly! I think Julia is one of the best managers there and she isn't scared to get her hands dirty and always has great conversation when you are nervous or having issues! Thanks CSL staff and Julia you guys are great!
Bri is such a friendly and kind person. She's never has hurt me. If you're looking for extra money and kind helpful staff, CSL is the place for you.
I'm a quick donor and never have an issue but doing this does have some risk they cover with you. Michele does a great job at getting you relaxed and hooked up for a pleasant experience. If they found d a way to take the needle out of the equation I'll give it 5 stars. I hate needles.
Tried to call about donating and the phone wasn't ever answered. I'll just try Biolife
Great place to earn some extra cash. I really like the people that work there they are always nice and professional. Sure sometimes there is a wait but more often than not it works out to $10 an hour or more for getting stuck with a needle and pumping your fist. If you count bonuses when they're offered you can darn near pay a months rent just from going 8 times in a month....hard to beat....
I would like to thank the staff Elkai, who went out of his way to come help unhook me, when another staff left me sitting there after I was done, and started hooking up another person, even though I told them I was done, prior. Elkai has always been cheerful, and kind every time I have seen him.
I do my best to go twice a week. I really enjoy getting to know the staff. My favorite is Bri. She is funny, persistent and friendly. Connelly, Jennifer Pedro and Bri are my favorites.
Site says less busy than usual. BS! I see 22 people waiting for a bed here in the back. Also, what good is a VIP pass when you still have to wait? This place is not run well at all. Some days it is better. Depends on who is working and if they work as a team.
I appreciate the staff and I really am happy when I'm able to get Bri to take care of me. She is friendly fast and I don't fell a thing. She's amazing.
The staff is great! They are respectful, and compassionate with skilled phlebotomists. A big thank you to Marbe, Katie and Crystal for making my day easier!
In the interest of fairness, I'll list people alphabetically. I've had nothing but good experiences at CSL. Bill (Bill is appropriately first, as he and I have developed a relationship, over shared interests, AND that he is incrementally good at what he does. Bri is wonderful. She does a great job, and connects to people. She connects with ease. She is a ?people person?. Elkai is so personable with people. He is good to talk with. Jennifer?I don't know her as well, but she has always been very nice
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
