I just went for the first time and it was a great experience. Everyone was really nice. It did take a while to get through everything but I never felt forgotten about. The people working did a great job and the donation part was faster than I anticipated. Ive now been donating a few months and while I still recommend this place and the employees work long and hard hours, I suggest trying to get there before 4 or 5. After that your probably going to be waiting for a while.
This place is pretty great. I used to go to a different plasma donation center and it was awful. At CSL everyone is super friendly. It is also very clean. The technicians all seem extremely knowledgeable and know what they're doing. Omari is pretty awesome! I have not had any issues with bruising like I did at the other place I used to go to. The one criticism that I do have is from time to time the lines can be a little ridiculous. All in all I definitely recommend this location of CSL plasma.
Waited over 1 hour in line. NEVER heard the girl tell me I had to go to medical, if she did she whispered it under her breath. Get to the chair and they tell me I can't donate because I was supposed to see medical and the nurse was no longer there. So I stood in the donation line for THAT long and was told I had to leave and got nothing for it!! And the new machines are AWFUL!! They make everything go so much slower!!
Edited for current wait times: The new machines have quadrupled the wait time. I don't donate plasma anymore because I can't stand in line for 2 to 3 hours. I'm really missing that money. Good luck keeping donors. I'm done. This was the best facility in the tri county area. The staff are kind and well trained. 5 stars to the staff. Any issues are only related to corporate greed.
The best to me.. every one is amazing. Hank Amelia Laura all are amazing from Reggie
Normally it's not to bad They now have new machines There's over 15 people in line I've been in line 2 hours There's 3 people in the back donating There's 4 workers And they are training so there's only 2 people doing work There is 15 empty beds right now and no one is getting called back I understand people have to be trained But not when there's a line like this The man I'm looking at now has been in his chair for 15 min and hasn't even been stuck yet Obviously training needs to be done after hours This i
I'd give zero stars if possible. Workers that are here are too concerned about talking and not helping anyone. Wait times begin at 3.5 hours easy, and this has become out of control. There's nothing fast about new machines. You all found a way to stay lazy and uncaring
The Staff is wonderful, but The process is ridiculous. 2 and 1/2 hours standing there barely moving. The employees can only do so much. If this doesn't improve, me and a whole group of others will donate elsewhere.
Absolutely unacceptable wait time. New machines that have obviously not been field tested, understaffed. The workers there are outstanding but CSL Corporate has absolutely torpedoed productivity and guest satisfaction. I am here on a tuesday and the line of 17 has moved twice in 45 minutes. There are currently 10 empty machines and only 6-8 people able to donate. Not to mention that they draw more plasma with these new machines and pay new and returning donors less than ever before. TRY BIOLIFE
Been in line over 2 hours and there still 10ppl ahead of me. There's no way I'm going to make it home in time to take my son to the movies? Probably going to have to leave soon after waiting all this time, which I don't have a lot of extra time because I'm a single parent who already works full time just to make ends meet. Really sad and unfortunate. So many open beds, but clearly understaffed BIG time.
They deferred me because of new machines that wasn't my fault the lady in front was very rude to not give me time to talk basically told me that I do not come back for 2 months because of whatever happened the machine is the one that deferred me not them try to explain to them I have not been here in over a week so it was not my fault and she basically was extremely rude and basically told me to leave I do not like being rude to when I was being really extremely nice something needs to be done
Wait time from when you walk in till you get seated for donation is absolutely ridiculous. Understaffed constantly. Plan on being here for about 2 hours.
This center is fairly quick compared to others, but beware. The new machines are taking more plasma than the previous maximum allowed amount, and they are paying less for it. The prices dropped about a month ago. Feeling cheated knowing they are paying less for more.
Come to BioLife on 14mile they pay more and is more organized. CSL getting over on people now with this so called new machines. They take more plasma from you make you wait longer and give you the same amount of cash, smh y?all will go out of business soon for this. Making people wait hours now got there at 940 left at 1pm shit is a shame y?all can't schedule people right. 3 people sticking 2 people taking down AT ALL TIMES ITS NOT HARD TO DO!!! Management is trash here with scheduling people.
CSL Plasma Center on Vandyke & Riverland Sterling heights, Michigan Terrible Staff. What a joke - security guard to busy paying attention to his phone while eating. Lady taking vitals you could tell was just there for the paycheck, could care less if you were there or not. Gave off the don't bother me vibe. The male "Nurse" just ran through the physical said a few words and went back to the computer. He just left me sitting there for a few minutes like I wasn't there. So I got up let myself out of the room
Been going here for years. It can get crowded at times on some days but they do at least try to push us through as fast as they can .
Waited 2 hours to get on the donation floor only 10 people inline tons of open beds and Machines no employees Waited 30 minutes to get unhooked after donation Stop cutting labor you need double the amount of labor on donation floor Especially with the new machines
Mays and Ms B and Hank are amazing people very friendly they make donating so easy. This is my go to location because they make you feel comfortable and make the process easy!
Very cheap very slow. They are supposed to get new machines next year. As if it's not just a badly run business in general lol.
I was just here today, there's an older Caucasian lady I'd say in her mid 50s, Her name is Denise. She works on the floor I believe as a phlebotomist. Extremely very bad attitude. I let her know I was done with my donation because I was sitting there for nearly 20 mins being patient. She yelled at me I'm only one person! I responded I know that. But I only spoke up because I realized that they didn't realize me. She began to grab my arm ruffly and and very fast she bandaged me up as if she wanted me to know
Hey u have no saline. Cool. Now believe us when we say we are hydrated. You believe all our other answers to all the other questions. Forced fluids is not needed. So yeah. Stop the ?drink the powerade and sit 5 minutes before you leave? because u already took 15 minutes to remove the needle from my arm after my donation was over. Either you believe what we say or you dont. What is it? Faster than octaCrapa but less money and more rude? take your pick
I have been going to this CSL for over a year request Omari "OJ" or you can just call him Painless! He is my new go to phlebomist. . I don't come out looking like a mummy with both arms wrapped up and get deferred because others aren't as smooth at their jobs as Omari.
Today will be my last time coming to this location!!! The staff at this location are too buddy, buddy with their co-worker instead of keeping me, as their patient as their top priority. Every time I come into this location the staff members are constantly laughing, joking and talking to each other about everything else besides work and their task at hand! This location is always short staffed and my last 3 donations I had fully completed my donation in the chair and the last 3 times I had to sit in chair wi
You guys got to fix your Sunday hours on Google here I've had my good times and bad times at this place but this still is the place I love to go to I've donated a total of 80 times at this place so far and I hope to keep coming back I just wish everybody was on the same page at this place but all in all not a bad place to go to
It was my 1st time donating and I was fearful. I am greatful to be in good health to help. My husband is on blood thinners. After reading extensively how my plasma helps to create his medication. I did it. The Sterling Heights location has a very compassionate, caring staff. Very clean facility. The entire staff was so amazing and walked me through everything. I will comtinue to donate here as long as I am in good health. Lovely staff and also very kind to one another. As my first donation shaking and fear
I've had zero issues here. I read horror stories about other locations and I have to say, I think I chose the right place. My favorite person is JJ. Lively Personable Fast Fun and Funny. And I never have any issues when he hooks me up. 3 cheers for JJ!! Got a few other people who are amazing as well! :) good location to go to. No complaints. :)
Sandra, Taylor, Bridget and Jessica are the best. Very welcoming very positive. Love this place.they work hard! I really think Bridget in the font should be getting rewarded given she usually handles the line by herself when I'm here. She's very patient and sweet to everyone, workers that are this dedicated should not go unnoticed. Every time Bridget Pokes me, it doesn't hurt for some reason. It's hard for I find people that are gentle like that too so she should get noticed for that to! Sandra always che
The most unorganized situation I've ever experienced. They told me to have my doctor fill out a form which she did and ok me donating plasma. I brought the note in and they said that isn't what they needed and the person who told me the first information was wrong. Not to mention the employees are beyond rude and don't like their jobs. The lady I worked with the entire time was nothing more then impolite. You just wasted 5 hours of my time for something you could have told me the first time. Why employ peop
Staff is great and I have grown to enjoy seeing them because they are kind, good at their job, and make the experience more enjoyable. I had Sandra yesterday assist me and she was great! JJ is another who always is great even if he isn't the staff who is directly working with me.
I've been going to CSL since September 2021. Since the beginning I've never had a problem. The staff works well with each other. It's always clean and the people there are pleasant and helpful. I'd love to give a shout out to all the people that I like there but I don't know everyone's names. Wish they all wore there name tags. I do recommend this place.
Waited over 45 minutes in line after the screening process just to be called back to get poked. And when I was trying to ask Justin like hey man how much longer, Justin had completely ignored me and walked away from me. Do not donate here
It's hard to feel comfortable getting your blood drawn, but Megan, made everything much easier. As soon as I walked back I was welcomed with a warm smile and a couple of jokes. And as she placed the needle within my arm, I felt no pain or unease. And as I left she wished me a good day. All in all I was quite impressed with the professionalism of this young lady
Very happy with the staff at Sterling hgts ! With that being said I referred my Sister and never got compensated, tried jumping through hoops to get it.Learned my points exp 68.33 not knowing this could happen???
This donation center is simply wonderful. Everyone does such a great job! They're all super friendly, hardworking, and charismatic. Especially Tammy! Keep up the good work, everyone! I enjoy coming here every week!??
The staff here is very rude and subtly disrespectful (not all. There is a tech who does his job and treats me with the respect I'm sure he'd want as a person). The yelling and mean mugging is not necessary. The outright rudeness is not necessary. Not everyone is the same and I have an understanding of this but this behavior has been consistent. I also have reason to believe that my personal information has not been handled correctly. I don't appreciate the games and regardless of what an individual is in a
Absolute pathetic place, I wouldn't recommend my enemies to this toilet. These people need to be ashamed of themselves, extremely rude unprofessional humans in that place that should be ashamed of themselves. When another human is donating to help somebody's life, you would think you would get a little more respect. Typical city mentality, no patience with people and zero care. DONT GO THERE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!
Very friendly staff. I had the opportunity to be checked in by a new worker ,Serena. Bridget, the woman training her, kept a very professional environment and was patient and informative. They both did a fantastic job engaging with me throughout the check in process and I can tell they already made a great choice bringing Serena in. Wait times can be a bit long at times, but it seems they are trying to address that by hiring in more workers. Would recommend to anyone thinking if donating plasma
Management is absolutely atrocious and rude. Won't do a favor or something kind to save somebody's life. However, the person who stuck me Amanda was the greatest stick I've ever had. She is amazing, didn't feel a thing! After this first 8 visits I will never return here again. But Amanda who works in the back is amazing and I will give her her credit 100%
First time donator and i was very nervous but everyone made it super comfortable. Laura S the phlebotomist who drew my blood made it to where i could not even feel it, she constantly was checking on me to make sure i was doing okay but i will definitely be coming back to that location. Overall great experience.
This place used to be very nice with friendly workers. Not anymore seems like every worker has an attitude and they make sure they will show it. Never again am I coming to this place. U don't like ur job go somewhere else.
I just want to say thank you to all of the employees at CSL, Sterling Heights. From day one they have been kind, helpful, informative, compassionate and truly concerned about my safety. Good job CSL!
This location is the best Ive been to so far!! The staff is very friendly and professional. The facility is pristine!! Its kept nice and clean! The staff is quick and efficient! They have definitely made donating quick and easy. Keep up the good work!!
Had to wait a hour for a msa to show up for shift. Got a coupon for 5 dollars but was told it was no good.
I donate here frequently. Usually have no issues. But I've noticed that while half the staff is working hard and friendly the other half seems to hate their entire existence and it shows when they handle people. Not everyone is sunshine and rainbows all the time. But a little positivity goes a long way.
Best staff ever. Kind and very attentive. Quick to explain the entire process to those of us that don't like needles that much. Will definitely be back.
I had a 5 star review here previously. You messed up my arms. The needle was in an angle so messed up for so long, that I have nerve damage in my arm. It's been months. These people purport to care about people but the truth is that they just want money. I'm a person and I know for a fact that I'll not see justice from these people, that they're okay with letting someone incompetent stick me, and cause my arm to be debilitated. I've done it many times, so I know it isn't because I took badly to it. I was
I understand why it's a ghost town worst experience ever after my blood cells returned I was left on machine for a extra 30 minutes uncomfortable with needle in my arm when she finally did come get me off she got blood all over my clothes to top the day off I was not paid what I was promised I've called customer service same day they couldn't find my name I would of rather had my plasma back then what they gave me this was my 5th and last donation thanks to this location go elsewhere maybe you'll be treated
I'm so glad they got rid of the mean one. Now everyone here is friendly and pleasant. I no longer hate coming here. A special thanks to Tammy for always being a joy to talk to and making my visit all the better.
Cannot tell the difference between scarring/discoloration and bruises, and on top of that even if you know your veins and tell them you have donated on the exact vein that they are refusing to use on the other arm because ?it will blow?, but I've never had any issues using that vein before they didn't even try to get the vein.
AMAZING experience every time. It takes no more than an hour and a half compared to Rosevilles 3 1/2 hours and the staff is AWESOME especially my favorite lady Ms. Terri ? She makes me feel right at home at booth #5 which is always good for my heart rate!
Came to this location on my second visit of being a first timer and have to say this is one of the most professional yet friendly group of employees I've encountered. Great vibes and positive attitudes from screening to the back where you donate plasma. Mrs. Bridgette along with others all have very good vibes and make you feel welcome Everytime you come!!!
Very friendly staff, attentive to detail. Only complaint is when supervisors come back to help get the line down, they don't have good attention to the little things and there fore, I have had bad experiences when they do the needle poke. Supervisors are there for quantity not quality. Also, I am disappointed that the company changed the donation amount. I wish it was the flat rate with bonuses. Happy with the veteran program even though I haven't received my card yet.
I've been going to the Sterling Heights CSL since January 2021...yes there are times you just have to wait, it's the nature of the beast, they're doing the best they can with the staff they have. Also some of the nicest people work here... I did try Biolife, but came back here..
Taylor is the best! They are quick to get you in and out. Clean and efficient. Would recommend to anyone. Plus the donation payment helps pay for vacations and nights out.
Nurse Kennedy is so awesome it was my first time donating and she made me feel very welcomed. She was very informative and was able to answer all my questions and concerns. I definitely will recommend this location and her also.
Ms. Bridget is so professional and nice. She's patient and thorough during the screening process and makes the visit a pleasant experience every time.
The best location I have been too. The longest I have had to wait in line was 30 minutes. Usually I am there for about an hour and 15 minutes from the second I walk in to the secound I walk out. There is usually never a wait. I live a few minutes away from the Roseville location and the line is always so long I prefer to drive 20 minutes out of my way to this location. Ive only had 2 issues with this location. I had was a staff let two people cut in front of me not sure if she thought they were first or wha
Staff is great except for one of the male phlebotomists who tore my arm up on my first donation. I couldn't donate for twp weeks, I was too bruised. The two doctors on site are excellent. Great location, just a few staff members being unprofessional made my first visit less pleasant.
Been donating over a year . There are a few of my favorites gotta admit Miss Bridgett in the front makes me feel welcome, Mr Greg and Jerome do the painless stick and treats all with importance. Then Miss Tammy doing her part which is the best sending me off with have a great day thank you for your donation!!! Are there room for improvements of course every work place struggles with mgt for improvements but I appreciate the way I'm treated.
All the staff are outstanding here. To name just one would be a disservice to the others because they are really that good. I can speak with a comparative perspective too as I have been to several CSL plasma donation centers. There are, in fact, 2 CSL Donation centers closer to where I reside but I choose to drive the 12 miles each way to this location because it is that much better. Enough said. If you come here you will see for yourself.
Great place in general. The employees are very nice and over all a clean place. Highly recommend if your trying to do the better good for our fellow neighbors.
The staff is friendly and helpful. I never have any problems. Get there about 8am and there's rarely a wait. Help people and make money.
JJ was amazing excellent customer service best location I been to JJ made me feel comfortable and I didn't feel his needle stick great experience highly recommend
All the staff there is very friendly. It is very clean and laid back. I recommend coming to this CSL it isn't super busy so the wait time is not long at all. favorable experiences each time I have been there.
new machines r terrible. they need to up the $
Tried this center & staff is nicer but omg so slow. No one here & just sitting. 2 guys came in after me but got called to screening before me. They dont go by who got there 1st i guess. Im going back to biolife as soon as my stuff transfers from other office. They are the best & you get way more money
I went for the first time on Saturday. I've donated at other centers and was dreading going to another new center and dealing with the initial check in and sign up. The last time I went through the process it was nearly 5 hours from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. I nearly passed out while donating because the light lunch that I had before going wasn't nearly enough after the wait. That was somewhere else though. At this CSL location, I was in and out in 2 hours and 13 minutes. Yes, I did t
I've given plasma here for the last 3.5 months at more than one CSL center, and this one is by far the cleanest and least busy. Your experience heavily depends on WHEN you go. I have found that they are busiest on Tuesdays, Sundays, and Thursdays in the mid-morning to afternoon. If you happen to donate within that time-frame, expect some waiting. The longest I have waited to donate is only about 35 minutes. Don't go here, or any plasma center, if you're in a rush. The staff, like all people, have their on
Love this location! I rarely run into long lines here or any kind of wait, and all the staff are so nice and careful! Highly recommend this location!
I've been going to this location for months. They are professional and friendly and it's kept clean. Shoutout to Laura for a quick painless stick.
I love coming here great worker. All are friendly Safe with our body, about 1100 am 12pm I was there 10 7 19 Today was special. Thanks Hendricks
I love this location. I have been donating plasma for about two years now. I started at the Roseville location, moved onto a plasma donation center in Madison Heights because it was closer to home, and am currently loyal to this location. It is a new facility so it's clean, the staff is incredible, the only downside is being closed Monday and Tuesday. I highly recommend this location to anyone considering donating. The staff here will make you feel comfortable and are very attentive to your needs.
Staff members seem to rather walk around and talk with each other than actually work
Clean, professional. Taylor is so sweet, efficient, and peppy. I switched to this location from another CSL because the environment and the staff are so much better.
Need to figure out a way to speed things up. The wait is ridiculous
Megan was extremely gentle and generous during my donation process. She brings extraordinary energy early in the morning which helps the process go a lot smoother
Everyone here is very pleasant. They make the donation process easy and stress free. There are a few that are stand outs like Taylor and Greg but overall everyone is great.
Very nice and knowledgeable staff. You feel comfortable going here, especially how clean they keep everything. It's a pretty quick process as well!
My experiences with CSL are all excellent. The staff is friendly and competent, they really do a good job. I've recommended CSL to several friends.
Very inexpericed. Lack of attention during donation. I have a 1" needle mark and a huge bruise from last donation and I called to make sure I could donate. Drove 25 miles only to be turned away because of THERE screw up. I think I should have gotten paid anyways for the bad treatment. This also caused me to now miss out on the bonus..AGAIN! I am writing the corporate headquarters wit ALL my complaints. The only attentive person is Melissa and the black gentleman with glasses. Laura could be more attentive f
I have been coming to this location since they opened. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The people are very friendly and genuinely care about their donors. The process of donating is easy and the compensation for your time is generous. Donating plasma is also a very good way to help others with illnesses and other health issues.
Been a loyal donor for 3 years was told on sunday that I won a pair tickets from the mt clemens mi center raffle. Went to your center to follow up on the tickets and have got the biggest run around on the whole event. Was so put off by the lack of Professionalism from the management staff.
Great place, amazing staff, facility is always clean and it was just a great overall experience!!! Extra shout out to Ms.Taylor for making sure I was comfortable and understood what was happening!!
My first time here was great! Unfortunately they have turned me away TWICE for having "high blood pressure". I think it's funny that I was fine before and now I'm not. Even my doctor says my blood pressure is fine. Even the guy observing told the girl who took my BP she wasn't doing it correctly. It's been a month and I haven't donated a 2nd time due to this!!!
Very nice staff and very clean place. Also, the wait was not long at all. Thank You ALL for your hard work !!!!!
This used to be one of the better locations. Now the staff walk around dragging their feet and talking instead of doing their job. There are 2 bays It doesn't matter if the donor line is backed up to reception they just will not open bay 2 for nothing
Love the staff, very friendly and I enjoy my visits there! I tell everyone that if they are going to donate to go here. Not only is this place awesome, your saving lives by donating. To everyone here you ROCK! Keep up the great work
Best place ever the people are proffesional they mark your vein before they actually stick you. They are always nice and give wonderful outstanding customer service hospitality. I hate bieng poked or donating but i feel very fine coming here always cuz i know they will take care of me. Shout out to Laura and Kayla i really appreciate what you guys do.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
