CSL Plasma Toledo, OH

Reviews Summary

The reviews present a mixed consensus. Many praise the friendly, professional staff and efficient service, highlighting positive experiences with donations. However, significant complaints cite rude employees, poor communication, inconsistent compensation, and issues with phlebotomy (bruising, missed sticks). Some mention understaffing, long wait times, and untrained personnel, particularly with new equipment. While loyal donors appreciate the cleanliness and mission, others feel misled or mistreated, leading to frustration and distrust. Negative experiences often revolve around management policies rather than individual staff.

The idiots don't know how to answer the phone. I called and it rang for 7 minutes straight and still nobody answered. I hung up and called back and they had taken the phone off the hook so no calls could come in. "Friendly staff" the automated system says - couldn't be further from the truth. They are rude, judgemental, entitled, and don't know how to do their job. They also openly make fun of clients coming in to donate plasma. They've made fun of my friend who donates there several times and she's had to

The line getting to the new machines are very slow. Apparently the new machines take 3 times longer to prep for each person. During a slow time, now, the line is almost to door.

I hate this place 6 out of 10 employees are rude and I waste my time coming over here cause it's always some reason I can't donate and I think it's because I come a little later and they just don't want to stay. Not to mention it's disgusting in there

They never answer the phone it would be nice to become a new donor I feel like I need to do better

I started donating two years and went once a week for a year. The lines used to be super long and you'd be there for hours (like three). I took a break the last 8 months and recently went back and the lines are minimal. The staff is nice especially Naomi she's real gentle and friendly. Easy money and you're helping someone get the meds they need

I usually go to Lincoln park and i ended up here on accident and I have to say this staff is the rudest and slowest. The front desk woman treated me like garbage because I asked her a simple question. I had to walk out.

New donor and I've been waiting two hours. The idiots at the front desk are extremely rude and unhelpful. Told me to sit and wait on the nurse and people who came in after me have been going. When I went up and asked what fb holdup was, they got a "deer in the headlights" look and I find out they didn't even put on the nurses list yet!!!!!! This place is a shining example of how one of two bad apples(employees ) can spoil the whole bunch

Its just always to busy .... Like its a blessing to be in and out in under 2 hrs....update: 4 weeks later and i stopped in 3 times and the lines have been absurd all day.... Hour before closing time and there is literally 40 people waiting for vitals and a table in back... Lets say 10 min per person entire start to finish process is 1min per person(def not) thats about a hour to get every one done unfortunately its a minimum hour process upto but not limited to 3-6hrs start to finish.and the pay definitely

I have a good experience in the front but in the back in future references let ya girl heather , blond hair , she one of the good ones that make sure u don't have to be their longer, SHOUT OUT TO HEATHER !!!!! Best worker.

I can say that CSL is the place to donate. I want to start off by saying BRIA made me feel comfortable and the ?stick? was professionally done. It usually hurt and have to be readjusted but BRIA made it less painful and was quick. I honestly don't take names but today was an astounding service. I'll be back!!

The staff here is amazing. Cassandra is so gentle and sweet I don't even know I'm behind poked half the time. I don't even feel it. She makes me feel welcomed. Always had a smile on her face.

I have been coming here for over a year now. The majority of the workers are friendly and all seem good at what they do. I work full time so I mainly go Friday afternoons and Sundays and it takes me on average around One and a half hours to get in and out. I would recommend for anyone looking for some extra money.

I went here twice this week got 45 bucks both times I'm so irritated with how they switch up the next week start day from Saturday to Sunday all the time this has nothing to do with the staff it's them cooperate admins just robbing people of plasma they are willing to give to help others I had left csl and came back to give another chance ....but I'm done switching back to biomat real soon at least there I'm compensated properly and don't get bruised BTW I have to wait to donate every week because I get br

This place is currently in a crisis. These new machines don't work half the time, and the other half the employees haven't been given enough training on them. Also some of these phlebotomists need to watch their mouths, period.

I love to help people out!! The staff is very very nice!!!! me I don't have any favorites. But you might meet somebody that your favorite. And they treat you like family if you continue to donate!! No worries this way thanks very much for being a wonderful staff!!!!

I always call to see if they busy, whoever picked up the phone trying to act like it's a problem if I ask how busy they were. Most of the time I call. It takes a while to get someone but they always inform me if they line is long, I know it can change. Whoever I spoke with was rude didn't want to tell me then hung up and lied on me. I go to the store to try to make a complaint. They also was not there. The manager Sara basically takes up for her employee on some narcissistic stuff. Then lied and said I sai

I have been donating for the past 2 years at this location on Lewis and I ALWAYS request for Bria! She always makes the process easy and painless. Wraps my arm correctly after I'm done. You can always request a phlebotomist and I highly recommend Bria if you're thinking about donating plasma.

I love csl and the staff are always nice especially Cassandra and miss Debbie and a few others they make sure you're comfortable and they even conversate with you if they have free time we just need more pay and the staff most definitely deserves a raise especially Bria and T

CSL Plasma Donation Center on Lewis, I wouldn't say is all that great. This center is decent and I can say that it is clean. On the downside though this place never answer their phone. And they are very short staffed seems like a lot of staff come and go. And some of the staff you can tell that they really don't like their job. The lines are also always super backed up because there's either one staff member upfront or 2-3 staff members upfront. But there is a lot of chitchatting and not enough paying atte

I have been donating at CSL for 5 years now. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The staff is very friendly. I get through the screening and donor lines quickly. The phlebotomist there are excellent. I would recommend them.

I've been going here for years. Very friendly and helpful staff Disregard the 2021 edit! 2021 Edit: For a lot of reasons, the process is significantly slower. They're struggling to keep staff for a variety of reasons. But I don't blame the workers for the slowness. The pandemic I'm sure caused a lot of issues for keeping workers. Regardless, the people who still work there are still friendly and patient. 2022 update! A positive update! This place is now well staffed with very friendly people! Wait times a

Says I'm deferred from there permanently over something that makes no sense !? Saying I lied bout a tattoo but yet every tattoo I have is documented on the computer, and it's a tattoo in 2019 that they KNEW ABOUT!!! Lady didn't know what the hell she was talking bout then said bout my belly button which is still documented in the system?!!!! I was just coming here for some xtra cash for Christmas time but apparently I'm differed lady was rude as hell n didn't have no respect I ain?t come at her any way but

They fraudulently convinced me to come in under a pretext. That I would receive a $100 but later I came to find out that it would only happen after my fifth donation when I was originally told it would be after my second. I wish I could afford a lawyer to Sue these people due to the fact I have recorded conversations with them telling me when I would receive my money. Then they changed their mind. Or they were originally lying to me to get me to donate. Don't trust these people....

I have been waiting over 7 months for the dr. Too call me because they messed up with one of my donations. Been calling everywhere. They never answer the phone. Can't donate anywhere until I get the call from their Dr. So sad because I love to help ppl

The staff is very friendly and thoughtful

Been donating over a year now, always have a pleasant experience with quick and kind service. I see comments from people saying the staff is rude but theyve always been respectful and friendly even with the irrate customers ive seen!

The girl who was supposed to poke me was talking to another girl about how they didn't get enough training on putting the needle in?.I was like damn?this ain?t gonna be good. Sure enough, she sticks it in and shooting pains go up my arm..she proceeds to push the needle around causing burning and pain so bad I told her if she did stop I would stop her?she stopped and started looking around..she called another girl over who told her to wrap my arm up and use my other arm?.the girl who poked me started saying

Come here at your own risk. I got hurt here 3 weeks ago and now the same thing has happened to my boyfriend. He came home with a swollen arm because the techs don't listen when someone tells them they're in pain. They don't listen about vein placement, they tug at your needle instead of taking it out to fix it. Every time I think about coming back I remember the pain I was in for two weeks. Pain I had to deal with at work. They're very apathetic techs. Only person that's ever made me feel safe there was nur

Been going here a year and Cass is the best so far she good at what she does and pays attention the only person I've nvr had to say I have allergies . N she is the greatest sticker yet

It was a great place to go, until all of the original people left, and they hired new people who accuse people of doing drugs and trying to defer them without calling a nurse to verify. (Husband had a bug bite on his arm) it New people that stand around and do nothing while one person sticks people in the back. New people that don't even have common sense, nor common courtesy. I no longer recommend this place to people. Right at the moment of typing this, my husband is donating there, constant no flow, and

I have been coming here since they opened here in Toledo. The staff is great. I went to another facility for about a year, and CSL is hands down the best!! Very clean, very professional. Yes, there has been a high turn around but dealing with the public is not easy. They train their staff well. Most people that come here are from the other place and like to complain about everything just to get an extra buck. They complain about the long lines so they want an extra $5. It's all about money. The money is a

Waited in line for 7 minutes to get vitals done, I was the only one in line. Had 4 staff members to do vitals but found it more important to stand in their little circle and gossip. So naturally my pulse was a little high and I couldn't donate. It's not like the place couldn't use some cleaning.

Christine Y is fabulous she is very professional..Makes u feel comfortable while doing vitals she is definitely a great employee and deserves 5 stars and if I could I would give her 10 stars

Long waits 40 mins to donate. On top of that long waits. Makes it around 3 hours for each donation. 3 x 2 is 6 hours total what they request 2x s a week. Gets you paid depending on your weight. So not worth it.

Brin is very good at her job she is one of the best workers at CSL she's a very hard worker doing other people jobs and taking control that why I will like to say thank you brin keep it up

Do not recommend. Severely understaffed. Some employees are extremely unprofessional (blaring music from their phone while taking your vitals and you can't understand what they are saying because of the volume, not adjusting needles when they are uncomfortable or having flow issues, having personal conversations and not working while lines are extremely backed up). Clientele are unclean and smell of drugs constantly. Long waits for vitals as there is usually one person working while 2 or 3 or standing arou

New employees don't seem to be trained very well if at all when I was there last seemed as if the dc person could set up a machine properly kinda scary tbh, staff is friendly for the most part kinda unprofessional at times. The lines have recently started to get real long seems they don't have enough staff up front

They never ever ever answer the phone. What's the point in having one if you not gone use it. It's just always something everytime i go or want to go. Y'all need to get it together over there. And get some professional training but the way y'all work isn't professional!

The staff is great, but the facility doesn't give you enough information on how things work I've got ripped off several times and was told my first three donation for $50 which was correct and then I would be getting $20 than $40 then another $20 and $40 and so on and so on instead I got $14 and $14 they said because I only weigh 130 pound they never told me that when I first started they told me my first three donations will be $50 apiece then I would drop down to $20 $40 $20 $40! Then I gave them a referr

They have a very efficient system here. I can typically get in and out within an hour. The only time I don't is if they are super packed. Money is always loaded as soon as they unhook you. Most of the employees are really nice. A lot better system than telecris and biomat!

I got deferred after they said I could donate but was able to go to telecrest. Csl is the worst plasma center I have ever been to very unorganized. I'm very dissatisfied with this place. I will be calling BBB.

I have a complicated vein and it's hard to get the right people! I only have 2 currently to do my sticking but worry cause I end up with bruises and sore veins at puncture spots, or to many no draws back to back! The staff are very nice tho; And compared to other centers they are pretty speedy!

This place is pretty hit and miss. Some days you're in and out in about an hour and a half, some days you're out in 3 hours. That could be easy handled if the staff were actually there to work instead of talk or finger bang their phones. Most of the staff handling the vitals are on their phones or busy talking. Once I spent at least 5 minutes standing in line waiting to be called on, funny thing is as I walk by their were only 2 technicians taking vitals. One had a customer, the other was on her phone. I st

First time I went there and it was great customer service everyone was so nice

Bria is absolutely amazing ! She's a great phlebotomist & always makes everyone smile ! She is the sole reason I keep donating with CSL !

Bria who works there is absolutely amazing every time I get her she makes sure I'm all good and always has a smile on her face??

Went there for first time today. I admit I was a bit nervous. Who wouldn't be their first time. It took about 3 hours to do all the new donor stuff and donate. I myself was on the machine for an hour. I read some chapters of a book while I passed the time. I liked the music playing. Staff was feiendly and asked me several times how I was doing while I was hooked up and when they took me off the machine. They did a good job of explaining everything on top of the information booklet and video you watch. I ask

So far my experience has been amazing, They're definitely quicker than biomat. The staff are friendly and haven't missed a stick yet!!! *Knock on wood* it definitely feels awesome to help people while saving money!!

This was my first time donating plasma and I had a great experience. I was a little nervous about the process but they did a great job walking me through it all. The staff was very professional and personable. I got paid immediately which was great and they imformed me of my best options for purchases or cash back. I will be happy to come back and refer this place to friends and family to help save lives.

Cassandra is always smiling, and very polite. She always makes me feel welcome and right at home.

They turned me away because they were too short staffed. I really needed the money, and now feel marginalized.

Good people trying to help out other helping people. It's Toledo so you know everyone?s cautious and quiet but there's always a good energy. Great staff!

Lewis ave Center has an employee that is Awkeays Rude to me. Not sure if it's just me personally or If She's like that to everyone. Today I stepped away to go wait for the Nurse and she actually followed me, got right in my face and asked if She did her job correctly and If I was feeling ok. Now mind you this happened after I had my Finger poked, Blood pressure taken and had walked over to the waiting area. Other than Her I really like the people Here

Bria has to be one of the best if not the best csl has to offer !! Fun,energetic and always has a smile ! Extremely recommended

I waited two hours in line. There is no organization. No respect for the medical risks that we take coming here. I'm going to Renolyds Rd location from now on. Sad to say but Red was the best worker y'all will probably ever have. #Sorry4thewait

Do not. Under any circumstances let Sharita do your arm. It's been 14 days since my right arm was able to donate since she blew up my vein. My other arm is still waiting after 12 days after being bruised up badly by another tech. This income was all I had and their incompetence has cost me dearly. Do not be afraid to tell them to get someone else to do your arm. It may prevent this from happening to you.

I donate plasma a few times a week.I have always been treated very professionally. But it would be nice to be informed about how much I am going to be receiving in payments for the donation. And I feel like I'm being ripped off because I was told one donation of the week it would be $20 and the 2nd time it will be $40. And too many times I seem to only be receiving $20!!? And somedays when the lines are extra long it takes most of the day to finally donate and to only be receiving 20.00 for it,it doesn't fe

been donating 22 years, extremely slow process lately. workers tht don't want to work. been their 3 times in 2022 at 7 am and and they just didn't open. at all..... its a hit and miss with this place , they don't answer the phones and you wont kno if their open unless you drive all the way there.

Good environment and people know how to stick ya the right way and get you out fast

The place was very clean and efficient. The staff is nice and even remembers some people!

I love coming to save lives it's a blessing ?? I can wake up and help people all around the world ?? I want thank Brandon for everything he has done bria has been a great phlebotomist she's the beauty and brains shout out to csl plasma keep up the great work

I love this place simply because they are quick and efficient. The pay is also reasonable as well.

Horrible place. First I couldn't donate because I didn't have proof of a permanent address. Today I brought in 3 peices of proof of a permanent address but I can't donate cause they said I live too far. Pure bureaucracy. I called corporate and they said even if I'm on vacation somewhere else I can still donate to any CSL location. Make no mistake; the plasma shortage we face is not because people don't want to donate, it's because places like CSL Plasma won't let them donate over absolute nonsense. Children

The staff is so friendly, very pleasant, very professional in what they do. They donation center is always very clean, the staff is very organized, and operations run very smoothly at CSL Plasma Donation Center on Lewis Ave. in Toledo, Ohio. The only donation center I will EVER go to and the ONLY one I would ever recommend to anyone thats interested in donating as well.. Keep up the awesome work to the staff member! Its always such a pleasant experience with you all! Xoxoxo ????- Tahnee Wood

Come help save lives and make some extra money while you're at it! Love the people here, and especially Bri, she's the best!

Bria is professional, dedicated & makes my visit the best. Great attitude & always smiling

I thought the staff was friendly and attentive. Best part is, our donations really are needed I am doing this to save extra money for a vacation but I think I will continue to do this Highly reccomend

Had horrible experience with worker who had attitude with me so purposely stuck me rough it was bleeding at the needle point down my arm. Then was told I would get $60 and only got $50 when I talked to manager he act like he had no idea what I was talking about but 3 other people I know had received $60 ??

Every experience I've been treated carefully and with respect. I love it here!

Terrible place to donate. Rude, long lines, insufficient staff. Not worth it. Save time and go somewhere else.

I've came to the lewis ave location on 3 different days,it's my first time trying and last, trying to donate..ok so first time,I guess I got there to late, second time only was one person doing registration,so took me in back check my veins, come back out,all of a sudden with 2 and half's hours left before they closed,I was told come back another day,u know cuz if ur not a junky u have everyday to spend waking up and making ur way to this place bright and early,,so the third time I managed to get there early i

This may be for some people just not for me. Thank you for the research information but it's like a room of lab rats. I understand it's for a good cause but the payout doesn't seem worth it after talking to several people leaving. I wanted to go to school to work in phobatamy but I can't shake the feelings thank you for all of those that donate but just not my cup of tea

They exceed my past great experiences with another CSLPlasma. They have just the best staff. There's hardly any waiting to get to a bed, because they don't use folders! I went to Biomat until they opened. I'll never go back. Maybe the person who said they were "rude and unprofessional" thought she was at CSLPlasma, but she was really at Biomat.

I've been coming here on & off for 3 years now & I have great relationships with some of the workers there, & absolutely love going every week!!

It was amazing .the workers were good to me they deserve a raise

Very efficient, very clean. All employees were friendly and helpful. I had pleasant experience for being a first time donor.

It's cool. Staff are late and don't be here to open the doors on time and people are left standing outside in the cold. When there are people here to open the doors they don't let us wait inside and make us wait for the people who are supposed to be here to open the doors.

Alot of the staff is rude an antisocial they pretty much treat u like a number an not a human being......

This place is very nice and the people are very friendly love it

I have gone to CSL since they opened in December 2016, Great staff, professional, and very clean environment, friendly and sweet staff, I'd recommend this place to all my family and friends. Stay awesome team CSL

Very friendly and curtious , clean and gentle worth going to be able to help so many people that need these platelets. For me it's not the money but being able to help someone who needs plasma to survive, I thank the good Lord I am able to contribute.

All right Billy and Heather we're above and beyond their job real nice and sweet

I cant believe anyone would call this staff rude or unprofessional. The entire staff from the front to the donor floor to management are awesome. The place is clean and process is the quickest of the 3 plasma centers.

Love it here, kind and helpful staff, never a long wait.

I love the experience, favorite CSL all because of Bria phleb ????

Great customer service, good atmosphere, great for people first donating and those who steadily come in. There are a couple donors that sour the experience but ALL & ALL great place to visit and interact with.

Lady had 6 inch fingernails she couldn't even put gloves on after the 2nd try sticking me she got it but now my arm is bruised and I will be going to telicris for my next donation

This short dark skin weave wearing little girl just got hired and is rude as ever she doesn't like her job left the needle in my arm for 13 mins taking her Mary time my arm was hurting so bad I told her why did you apply here'she gave me the dirtiest look a human could give.misery loves company glad I don't sleep with her
