The staff has always been pleasant in all of my donations. They keep the place clean. It makes me feel good I am helping people. As of today I have helped 65 people with the meds they need to survive. I would recommend this place if you are ever interested in donating plasma.
So my of my friends was talking about donating plasma. I gave blood back in the day. I had a rare bold type. The experience was kinda underwhelming. They were telling me how it helps save lives. I'm like, okay, I get it. Now, what I am going to say is don't get made at me. But she told me they also pay you over 500 hundred dollars for the first five times. I thought it was a joke. It was real, and then I met a veteran working there, and he explained it to me. I'm only in Topeka for a short time. But it'
I left my phone in the bathroom, when I returned it was found hidden amongst the janitors personal items and the case had been removed. They contract out to a janitorial service in Wichita, which I told staff they did a horrible job. Trash was still in trash bins, the floors were disgusting, cracker packets were left on tables, and they employ a thief. I will continue to donate but at a different center.
Been donating plasma for year got defer over their own mistake. They have had my results for blood work back for 2 weeks now and the lazy physician hasn't had time to look at it??? Wouldn't recommend going here worst staff I've ever seen at any plasma center I've been to. Honestly they just need to be shut down their people can't stick it's bad when their own employees won't even donate in their own facility because of that reason. I'd rate 0 stars if I could
The staff kept repeatedly sending me back and forth to different places like from the line to the kiosk, then to the waiting area and were no help at all. It was as if the staff had no idea what they were doing. When I got to the waiting area I waited there for an hour and then I just left without donating any plasma at all since the staff disregarded me. Absolutely horrible management.
DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL BE LIED TO AND TURNED AWAY. Went to donate plasma two days in a row was told the first day that they were no longer accepting anybody and they did not take appointments. They were walking only that is not communicated on their app or anywhere on websites went in the next day after being told that they would be taking people until 4 o'clock and went there at 12:07 and was informed they were no longer taking new donors for the day and that was it. Called and spoke with someone through
Beware!!! They have a shady very shady manager up there that cant give good reason for permanently banning you without notice this place use be good but it just mess and have poor manager running it. I hope he knows that employees need more training because if hospital can stick me in one try than it can be done with someone with exp, but why do they put a new girl to stick me, a donor that be gone for 2 years and is new, because if they can't stick you right and you cant draw your banned...? Yeah just be a
Wanted to start donating here! But they were super rude over the phone. I plan to go somewhere else.
came in yesterday and today, was turned away both times. first time we made an appointment on the app then after waiting at the desk for 5 mins with no acknowledgement at all, then was told they dont honnor the app and stopped taking people at 3 and was told to come back between 8 and 4. came in the next day at 12 and was told they stopped at 12. I was lied too and had my time and gas waisted. DO NOT GO HERE!
My machine beeped with an error. Donor beds were less than half full, 6 employees on donor floor for the maybe 15 donors...only 1 guy actually looked up to acknowledge. 30 minutes of beeping. No one cared. I was there for 2 hours and nothing to show for it. 1000% suggest the other place
This Location has horrible management and staff everyone is extremely rude and will turn you away with no actual reason and give you all the wrong information for your next attempt at donating and then turn you away again. went in twice to attempt to donate and got turned away both times as they gave us the wrong times and information. we went in with all the proper paperwork and information and they got turned away due to there mistakes.
Absolutely terrible. Staff were rude, kept purposely ignoring, went to lunch in middle of process so we had to wait for them to come back because they evidently don't have enough staff or can't or are unwilling to do rotations. Waited for 4 hours when told 2-3. Actual donation was done in less than 30 mins & was stuck waiting for a whole hour. The whole process is a mess! They tell you how to speed up process: what's the point??
I am a veteran out of the us army my mos was being a medic and one day I came to donate and the staff u could tell did not know what they were doing. She bled my arm out. Had to re Stick me three times and when I asked for somebody else to stick me they got an attitude with me. A staff member who is currently fired there. Raised her voice at me, and then they permanently deferred me because I stood up for myself horrible place of business
I am pretty sure I told them about one of my medications and they never added it. Also I forgot i literally two days ago just started a new medication because it has made me forget two very important things at work. I agreed to take the paperwork to my doctors office to get a list of my medications, but yet I get a life deferral but people can go in there high on weed and meth both and donate and I don't use either. I am a para at a school and take care of children all day I am not some low life who screws
If I could I would give this place a negative star. Only because of the manager there. It was so busy and he was talking with the other ladies who were clearly busy trying to get everything in order. There was a line out the door from 8:30am all the way to 11 yesterday. No one at the desk. They had 2 ladies doing heath checks and 3 hours later when I got into the chair they couldn't ?find? a vain. Do NOT bother going to this location if you are under 130 pounds they will waste your time. When everyone had t
Now Giving out less money when everything around us is going up MAKES SENSE I'm looking into the other one
The amount if time it takes to donate at this particular center is absurd . 3-4 hours. Maybe one person screening and maybe one person sticking and one disconnecter. The lines go to the exit door at times, more so than not unfortunately. They cant keep staff, there is a reason for it but what. The donor fees are extremely low here. The employees they do have are wonderful but completely over worked with no help. Come on corporate are you going to do anything about this or just let the only csl in Topeka be
If I could give negative stars I would. First time I went they got iodine on my jeans. I've never had a stick that didn't cause issues returning. I'm not new to donating and have never had this problem . They burry the needle. They are under staffed and i have currently like right now have been waiting 20 mins to get the needle removed after donated. Poorly managed
I love donating here; compared to other places I have donated. I love the atmosphere, the staff, and the pay. Cannot say enough good things about donating at CSL. I have never had a bad experience. Donations go very smoothly each time I donate. I recommend this place to everyone. CSL doesn't make appointments so make sure to give yourself extra time to donate in case they are busy. Easiest money I've ever made. Plus you save a life!
Quick and easy! The employees actually know what they're doing
Was not able to donate on Saturday 08/03/24. The center was to be open at 0800 hrs, my slot was 0900. I as well as many other donors stood outside until 1000 hrs only to be told "sorry nobody is working today". The elderly lady that told the crowd of donors that was extremely nasty and rude.
The staff was very friendly and know what they are doing. Had no issues at all.
The turnover here at this Topeka clinic is horrible. I miss some of the people who ended up leaving, and the lines are so long due to the short staff. The manager Scott treats his employees horribly. I have witnessed Scott yelling across the room at his employees and belittling his employees in front of customers. Especially when an employee is at the end of their shift and isn't able to stay past their end of tour time. I hope the CSL corporate office is aware of how Scott treats his employees and how rude
Slower than other donation centers. But agree that the staff is very respectful. There's a younger gentleman that works there (don't know his name,I just started going there) but he has longer hair usually put up in a tie. Anyways I wanna single him out bc he is very good at his job, and that guy work circles around other staff, and has a good attitude about it. So good for you man. You'll be fine in life if you just keep doing what you are doing. Job well done sir
Not what I wanted to do on a Friday night after working a 10 hour shift. There is only 1 employee screening donors. This will be my last time donating here.
Honestly, I can't afford to spend 3 plus hours here anymore. The first time a few months ago was not bad. Now, the line is always long and VERY slow. $50-$65 isn't worth it for hours of your time. I feel bad they are so short staffed, the last thing the staff should feel when doing medical procedures is rushed.
Please hire more employees . I've been coming to CSL for a long time, and the lines have been bad lately. Just like tonight (Tuesday, October 3rd at 3:30 PM) the lines were extremely long. I love coming to CSL but the long lines make it tough. I'm going to give you five stars but I'm complaining at the same time.
A lot of people have been putting negative reviews on here and I can't say why that would be, I've come to donate 4 times now, currently in the chair while writing and I've never felt more comfortable around needles than I am being a donator for this location, Adam, Joshua, Jamie, Dr. Kevin, and everyone else working in the place deserve every good word said about them, they all have given relatively non painful sticks and haven't had to retry at all, you are in and out in 45 minutes to an hour and it's an
Some of the staff are great, by not trying to force a conversation, straight to the point, and professional while getting everything done quickly without being rude, but that's only a very small amount of employees. The ones that ask you constant questions unrelated to the donation and nothing the donor initially brought up either is very annoying, also hearing employees talk about wanting their shift to be over, you see them talking to donors or to other employees just laughing having the time of there lif
Yo this place is SLOW. I am sitting in line now and they have one person screening in people. The line is 15 people deep and not moving at all. Been here 25 mins already and 3 people have been screened. I'll be here 3 hours probably when it should be about an hour. They have 10 -12 people working but they aren't concerned about how long it takes at all. Just sloppy and unprofessional.
Don't expect to spend less than 2 hours for your donation! Stood in line for over an hour waiting to get poked as they let every new donor go to the front of the line. They also don't take apts, staff is SLOW and talks too much. Not the experience I was hoping for, 2 hours 40 min in total for a normal donation.
Phlebotomists didn't change gloves between sticking donors. They just used hand sanitizer. They didn't give out bandaids after getting a finger stick from you so people were touching everything with their bloody fingers.
There is a lot of workers standing around and only one person doing blood work. Just b prepared to wait at least an hour to get tested before you go back. Then you can pass the pulse test because you have spent an hour of you life waiting and getting irritated. I have 10 years in management, and whoever is doing the schedule is just writing stuff down. Don't blame it on having no staff, you should have had everyone before you open that location. Do your job!!!!!
The most recent reviews on how people are treated really shows a lot. What ever happened to people?
Unlike some, I donate for the money but mostly because it saves lives! Like it did my nephew's! Only thing I would like to see changed is the amount of money given to regular donors. I believe it should be a set amount at no less then, $80 each time. Cost for living has dramatically increased and is only going to get worse. I can say however, I've had a very good experience almost every time I donate with the workers.
I come in stand at the new donor, the ladies at the test cubicle said she be their, in fact the only nice person there was an older white lady who tryied helping me since the ladies in the cubicle never did then one starts yelling at my wife cause she was too close to me. Then we finally just straight up left. They were really rude and disrespectful.
I had an appointment at 7am today. After completing the consent video, it was already around 7:30 and was told to have a seat and wait to be called. I sat there for over an hour and a half before I walked out. Never once was called and was just told to keep waiting.
I went to donate I received a student I told them I didn't want her she was very rude and told me to bad. She stuck me and left I was in the back to for ,30 min I tried to get attention .finally someone ce the machine had never returned my. Blood back into me . I had a big container of blood they said I could not use needless to say after I left I ended up in hospital lost 4 days work right after that my blood count was so low I contactee COVID 3 times an now anemic and divk
I am changing my review now I found a way to fix my blood pressure problem. I love the staff there they are very ftiendly Patricia, and Josh do a good job. Josh always finding the donors veins no matter what he is awesome, and I like him, and same with Patricia, and I love Tracy she is such a sweetheart I do feel bad for her when other donors treats her badly. I don't know why people have to be, so disrespectful to others that are helping them that is wrong. Anyways you all keep up the good work, and love y
Best Paying Plasma Center! Truly one of the best overall experiences I've had donating plasma and I've donated at several centers in 3 states. When they first opened they were a lil short staffed but they worked so hard to get everyone through and they were always so nice. Now, the new employees are all working out so well that you will only have a short wait if any wait at all. Plus, Best Pay within 100 miles !
Very disappointing experience. Waited over an hour to get a check up, only to be told I have to wait months to be able to donate and go through the tedious New Donor process again! The system there is very unorganized and staff members is just all over the place. You have to hunt them down to get any assistance. Best to go somewhere else.
I've been a donor for CSL PLASMA for quite sometime now. They get very busy at times but they are working on hiring more staff members to shorten the wait time between the check in line and the actual donation. My experience with CSL Plasma is always positive
Easily the SLOWEST CSL I've ever been to in my life. If you value your time don't bother coming after 4 because they mostly all move at a snails pace. You will be there for hours.
They pay more then grifols for new donors but this place is beyond slow until you're in a chair, then it's quick and easy. I've also never seen the staff up front change their glove between people. That may not be a real issue since they aren't the ones really messing with blood but it bothers me.
If I could do 1/2 a star i would. The staff here is inadequate at best. Slow slow slow. I'm a platinum donor, been donating for years. And I have never been to a center as slow as this one. Two weeks ago it to me three hours to donate. Shold have never taken that long.
Disorganized applicant process and routinely takes 3+ hours for repeat donations. Seat time isn't the issue?you'll spend an hour or more waiting in line each visit, even if there are only 5-10 people in front of you.
Needle came out I told them it did because blood started to come out my arm they said it was fine by the end my arm was swollen and they had pumped saline fluid directly in my arm because the needle had came out of my vein as I had said. I also address a lady about her not changing gloves she said she hasn't been fired yet so it don't matter. Then on another occasion I was in there a man donating had said and I quote"I don't believe black lives matter" in which caused a big scene as you may believe but as m
I reported to Jacque that I was staying in a hotel due to harassment from my ex at home and received a permanent defferal because of it. I do not appreciate the lack of informative action on their part. How can I break a rule if I'm unaware of it's existence? The questionnaire asked if my mailing address was different and it wasn't. I didn't lie on any of my questions and was still receiving mail there and just wasn't staying there because of the harassment. They didn't even give me the chance to change my
Been going to donate for little less than a year. Yesterday on 8/17 I had Nae stick me and that was the FIRST time I've gotten stuck and felt 0 pain. She did perfect
Update. Seeing as my doctor has told me I should sue you shouldn't come here. They blew my nerve and now I can't even use my right arm to draw blood because the blown nerve covers the vein. I'm HIGHLY considering taking my doctor's advice. They do not train their staff appropriately! They train on the people who come in which is disgusting!
Normally I'm waiting 2 to 3 hours in line to donate now it used to be maybe 30 to 40 minutes they need to hire more people.
I'm giving CSL plasma three stars overall. I haven't experienced donating in Topeka but can attest to the backward rules that may or may not be legit. I was a donor at the Manhattan center for three years and have only wonderful things to say about thier staff. I moved to Lawrence and donated there for six months--during my review Little Miss Know-it-all college student deferred me for life based on something she THOUGHT she had heard me say. Goes to show you that a well put together staff with commom sens
Brandi stuck me and was very professional. Nae was nice and did a great job multitasking. Joey showed amazing donor care by checking on me periodically
Very peaceful place to donate... The staff are super respectful. I get in and get out pretty quick. Especially thankful to Candel! She's very nice, Tae is also!!
This is the slowest csl I've ever been to in my life the staff is absolutely slow I have been waiting for 45 mins in the waiting line. I'm a platinum donor and been going to a csl in Lawrence a half hour away and I'm going to have to start going there again.
I was very disappointed the lady that was sticking me was new and very rude I asked for a senior phlebotomist to stick me and was told by a very rude employee you don't get to pick and choose who sticks you. And proceeded to tell me if I don't like it I can leave! once asked for a supervisor, the supervisor was rude, kept repeating themselves And giving an attitude when none was needed. Horrible service, horrible attitude I will not be returning!!!
Came in no one in either line went through first ok got back to back line and three new donors staff was just talking an not setting up plasma station for donor then finally got settled an waiting another 10 mins before I was hook up very bad experience today only total of 15 donors hook up
Patricia is excellent at drawing the blood
They are the worst donation place I've ever been to! Promise you extra money and never give it to you. When you go into a place like this and legit need money. You should get what you deserve!!
They botched mine it was terribly painful. If I ever donate again I'll be going to a different clinic
This center is slow at everything.. you want in line FOREVER to donate, The griffols on 6th street never took this long.. it took maybe 2 hours max on a busy day but this center I'm always there for 4 hours... and half of their phlibotomists don't know how to stick people so it's a long painfull process.. needless to say I'm going back to griffols
Some of the staff are unprofessional.
I wouldn't even rate this place it's a horrible joke they messed up and for 30 min took blood out but it never changed to return the blood then I was told they couldn't. I ended up in the hospital which cost me thousands missed wages and was told the manager would call me They never did I'm seeking a lawyer they should be closed down they are horrible rida and unrofedsional
Outgoing & friendly staff! I've been donating for 8+ years and they make sure to have you feel like you fit in!
They are probably to worst place in Topeka to donate at. Wouldn't recommend unless you're desperate desperate
Very professional and caring, every donation is a good experience, also Brandi suggested to me about drinking pedialyte with electrolyte and my donations aren't taking as long,, Thank you Brandi
Been donating here for more than a year; nothing but GREAT experiences!! Can take a couple of hours - bring your earphones - $25hr for your time?!?
Josh is very nice and so is Kim. I really like going in there when they are working. Nice people!
Caring friendly staff never had a bad experience would donate even if they didn't pay the pay is fast and easy to use
One of the slowest plasma centers I've been too . Don't waste your time grifols is far better and the pay is better .
Really nice and professional place to go! Used to dread going to donate but since the time I've been going here I've looked forward to it.
Overall good experience. Clean environment. Professional staff. Chairs for waiting doners would have gotten you 5 stairs.
very racist n obviously biased. yall pick n choose who donates by lieing about blood pressure and protein. yall need reported
Just wish they were open on the weekends, other than that - it's pretty clean and nice. Good customer service.
I love the place just wish the televisions were still in the place to watch TV
Very polite staff. Patricia n Josh are really good as in not missing the vain. Very highly recommend.
The manger of the location is rude. And I'm always waiting at least an hour for a booth and or bed
Service is excellent, employees are always very helpful and friendly, timely with the donations..
Some of the most inept staff humanly possible, am worried about whomever comes here.slow staff and unprofessional
Every time I come in everyone is so friendly, and the line goes by fast.
Slow, line all the way to Egypt. Not worth waiting 3 hours for 50$
Josh is awesome he did not provide me with money to say this either.
Great place to give plasma. Very friendly staff. Wait times vary greatly
Very friendly and very clean, easy to get into and not to long of a wait.
Been donating for months! The staff is always incredible.
Candle along with staff are friendly people that know what they are doing, they help you to help them.
CSl Topeka,KS has the most professonal staff l have encounter
Very nice and caring people! Know what they're doing!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
