CSL Plasma Warren, OH

Reviews Summary

The reviews present a mixed consensus. Many praise the friendly, professional staff and efficient service, particularly noting cleanliness and care during donations. However, several criticize long wait times, unprofessional attitudes, and inconsistent policies, including strict ID requirements and poor vein access. Complaints also highlight unfair compensation compared to other locations. While some donors have consistently positive experiences, others face frustration with delays, staff behavior, or procedural issues. The center's performance appears highly dependent on individual interactions and timing.

VERY impressed with this center. The workers there actually treat you like a human. Speak to you with kindness. Educate you about the whole process of donation. The center in Youngstown is rude and mean. I won't be going back there ever. This center has been so inviting and kind that I highly recommend them to anyone! Please give these workers a raise! Great staff.

Super friendly staff, very professional. There is never enough staff for check in or on the floor though. I have left several times due to not wanting to be there for 2-3 hours. If they would add more staff it would be the perfect experience

So I go to CSL today to donate told I'm not allowed because I have a bruise on my arm that their machine caused. I was halfway through my cycle when it caused a quarter size bubble in my vein and about 3/4 raised. the nurse said the needle caused it.Bullshit. I think there medical staff need to go back to school and learn something.

I have been donating plasma at CSL intermittently since they opened in Warren, which has been about 8 or 9 years. They got new machines in the last year that are very fast. They also started a new magic formula that tells them how much they can take from you plasma-wise. Let's cut to the chase, They increased weight categories they pay less. The higher weight categories that still pay $45 and $60 they take substantially more plasma than they used to and pay you the same. Every decision CSL has made in the

Staff is amazing!! They are all star's !!! Y'all need more staff. Your gonna wear out your loyal staff quick!! You guy's only have two bays like common there should not be a wait like there is.

Angie is a great receptionist....she always has an upbeat attitude and is very personable...she makes the experience great

I have ALWAYS had a positive experience while donating at the Warren location! I have been donating for over a year and have gotten familiar, over this time period, with the great staff of this location. They always have positive energy and enthusiasm. They appear to be supportive with each other, as they demonstrate teamwork towards each other. From the front of clinic, where vitals are taken, to the back of the clinic, where donations are being conducted, there has always been a welcoming atmosphere. The

Love Samantha, she's the best I was very nervous to donate (I hate needles) and she was so kind and just talked me though the vitals check and assured me the people on who put me on the machines are great and nice. she said she knows from experience. Got jackie who hooked me up and she was excellent Great to know CSL has people who understand.

Heather in reception is great, love this place!

Just started donating at this site and was impressed with the people I watched so far Kristin, amanda , Megan and Jackie, very very professional made me feel very comfortable with my what I was doing with the donation. They were all very helpful and knowledgeable and I've had an absolute pleasant experience dealing with these folks so far they should be commended for their excellent thank you sincerely Patrick White

They make you wait at least total 2 hours and make you lay on bed doing nothing and wait 40 minutes. It is very hilarious they said until people of 1 row of bed is done they can't start and making 5 people waste time 40-50 minutes on bed. I never experienced this with other branch. This is very very ridiculous.

If you're looking to do a good deed and earn a little extra cash on the side CSL is definitely the place to go. They provide a very safe and sanitary environment with great customer service. Staff is very helpful and courteous from reception to the donation floor! Very professional! Great experience! Would definitely recommend!

Heather in reception is awesome! She is fast, friendly and very professional! You can tell she loves her job. This center is much better than others I've visited in the past!

Staff is always friendly. The receptionist are all very friendly and accommodating and treat you like family! The phlebotomist are amazing they have never missed my vein! Keep up the great work CSL!

Great place nice staff and helpful

Being a decade long donor in the plasma industry Ive been to 7 centers in 3 states. (only two CSL's though) This is the only place I've ever felt a need to issue a warning. The Facility and staff are nice enough. The usual Center business runs smooth as I've never had to wait and the center is clean and staff professional and courteous. However this particular center either doesn't value or practice Universal precaution. I've attended this center approximately 6 visits now and had to ask various pertine

I had my once a yr physical, the nurse pressed under my rib cage and down with pressure, I winced, she asked if it hurt and I didnt even have time to answer and she said, your reaction tells me it did, you cannot come back w/o a letter from your doc. I am a bigger lady and said I reacted due to you pushing down on my diaphragm under my rib. She said she does this all day long and no one ever has a reaction, Really? She was also visibly shaking and nervous, I noticed that before I even went back to her of

Kristin and Lindsay are the best Phlebotomists. Not only can they stick you good but they are so kind and caring. Always professional and always make you smile. These 2 are wonder assests to your company!

Biked 10 miles to try and donate for a little cash to get medicine for my dying dog, only to be told I can't donate because I would overwhelm the other donators or staff because i was sweaty? massively disrespectful and ignorant, I will not be returning to this location. Had to bike another 10 miles back without being able to get a drink or any medication for my dog.

Great Staff from beginning to the end. They are very personable, caring and always go above and beyond to make sure you feel seen, heard and comfortable!! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

I drive 45 mins out of my way to donate at this particular center. Every time I walk in, 1 of the girls up front are doing or saying something hilarious, it helps with my anxiety. They keep it fun, but professional, including the girls in the back!

The staff here at the warren location are very well trained and set the bar high when it comes to respect. I personally would like to say thank you for being great people... hands down the best plasma center I have ever been to..

The staff are amazing and the process is quick and painless! I've been to a few other places that offer the same services and would definitely choose this one over them all!

Been going here for a year and haven't had any problems. When they get busy that means you'll be there a while. Theres A lot more staff now and they're very helpful. I suggest to go in the morning when they open and make sure u drink a lot of water the day before. This allows them to find a vein and it's a lot easier on the body, also a lot quicker when donating.

I have been donating here regularly for over 3 years now. The staff is wonderful and everything is always clean. The wait times vary but I can usually get in and out in a little over an hour. I always recommend donating at csl to friends and family.

Doesn't have enough staff and discriminate against people

I've been coming to csl for a few years and every time I come in here they are always laughing and joking and Making me feel at home. One if their phlebotomist Sarah is like family and always has the best energy. All in all one of the best places to donate at 100%

Staff lacks ability to be reasonable and considerate. They will knit pick you over the most meaningless marks then tell you you can not donate. They waste your time and energy and it's quite disturbing.

This place is very unorganized. You have staff standing around conversation while clients are literally freezing and waiting to be unhooked. Their is one person stick to every four people unhooking which causes a huge delay in getting people seated and hooked up. You have staff that state they refuse to stick because they don't like it, so they will just stand there waiting for another worker to come. Also, in the few times I've been there, I've been stuck incorrectly twice and had bleeding outside of my ne

Listen this place has the sweetest staff especially one , her name was Heather (I believe) but anyway , very clean and everything goes smooth!! Definitely a 5++ stars for this place and staff.

This is a Great place to donate Everyone here is very helpful and super nice! I would definitely recommend someone to come here to donate. I've had a very positive experience here. And I'm glad I chose the center for my donation process.

Good place the staff make you feel so comfortable and are very nice just don't like that you have to stand in line for to go in the back to get hooked up they should try to put chairs in to see if that helps

The employees here are very nice but the way it's set up is screwed up. I spent an HOUR at this facility today. Since it has been 6 months since I donated, I had to rewatch videos, go through the whole getting weighed and getting my vitals and THEN they proceeded to have me do an updated physical. No until the physical, when I had already been there an hour, did they tell me I could not donate for MONTHS because of a recent hospitalization (which was 2 months ago). I am very frustrated that they allowed me

The majority of the staff was nice, but the manager or whatever she considers herself is very rude and asks questions that have no bearing on giving plasma. She needs to mind her own business and get a personality. A nice personality!!

Ok place kinda slow moving takes a long time and the wouldn't let me donate but never asked if I had a stoke

I've been to multiple CSL Plasma locations and this one is by far the worst. Not once have I had a problem with a single other location but have had problems both times I've visited this location. They are slow, rude and try to make everything more difficult. I had shown them a piece of mail 2 weeks ago for my current address and they would not allow me to donate because they needed a piece of mail for my address. Rest assured I will not be returning to this location. Every lady up front I've seen has an at

The staff was kind and courteous answered all my questions as I was a fairly new donor. Had no problem donating when my blood pressure was a little high they let me sit for 15 minutes until it went down and I was able to donate all in all a good experience

I absolutely love this place! The ladies at reception are GREAT! Heather is just amazing and one of my favorites as well as Amanda!!!

I donated 2 days ago. I can say I won't be going back to this location especially. My arm should not be this bruised my bicep was swollen and almost unusable for the past 2 going on 3 days. The staff was very friendly, but I just think they're in such a rush that they aren't careful. I would not suggest going here.

Been coming for over a year great people and friendly staff. Sue, Kristen, Lindsey, and Savanah are amazing and the best workers they have

I've been going regularly for years and I'm about to call it quits. They nit pick EVERYTHING. I do real work for a living and I'm constantly getting sent back to the nurses to make simple judgment calls for small blemishes. I got deferred for over a week for this one. Because it was a "raised bump" that was too close to my puncture sight.

A person should receive more than $30 after there 2nd visit.for the lives that are being saved because of my donation.other CSL locations DO receive more per donation, like Austintown who receives $85 after 2 visits. What's up with that?

I have been coming here for a couple year's. I've never had an issue with the one in Kent but I come to the one in Warren. And nothing but issues. First they put the needle in my arm wrong causing me lots of pain and a 4 inch by 4 inch bruise. I had to wait for the doctor to release me. I figured since they damaged my arm they would at least pay me something since I couldn't come back for all most two weeks. Then I go in today and just because I have a little redness from the sun. I still can not donate. I

Sarah is the nicest girl I've meet so far she is sweet and funny and can carry on a good conversations and she does a excellent job at what she does.

My wife and I just attempted to donate at this location. I brought my ID, social security card, birth certificate and a piece of mail. Literally everything needed to verify my identity. Sufficient verification to obtain an ID. I was turned away because my social security card does not have a middle name while my ID does. I was told that I'd have to pay to get a new ID without my middle name to be able to donate. My wife got through and they attempted to find a vein in her arm. She said the tourniquet on th

This place is nice and far as workers. But very short staffed and slow. I been waiting for 2hrs. 2 associates walked out during where it was line out the building. This is longest i ever waited.

When I come to donate, workers are very polite and Elm Road csl, and Kristen knows what she is doing when she sticks the needle in you can't even feel it that is the best

There machine broke down .causing me to have complete cell loss. Instead trying hook up to another machine they defer me 2 months ?? .

I was a loyal donor for years at multiple CSL plasma centers. I went in this last time and was told my chart had lapsed and I needed a physical redone, however I would get new donor fees. I went back through the whole new donor process. 3 hours. When I left at the conclusion of my successful donation there was only $35 on my card... I spoke with a woman at the front desk who assured me it was a mistake and the manager would add it and call me when she was done in a meeting. This Tuesday (today) I went in

Been coming here to Warren 204 for a while and have always been greeted with kindness and professionalism. The employees really make the place what it is today.

My boyfriend and I had an awful experience today at CSL. There is not enough staff to cover the donor load. While waiting in line we and other donors got very upset because there were five people in line and one of the two workers processing donors said loudly and clearly I'm going to lunch, which left one worker to take care of all of us. When another donor complained the worker got rude and disrespectful arguing with the donor.. other people were just cutting in line and going to the empty booths instead

This is a very UNPROFESSIONAL establishment. Alot of the staff have attitudes and try to take it out on the donors. One screener told me I could not donate because I had on shorts that were too short. I am old enough to be her grandmother...It was 80 degrees outside...I had a flannel shirt wrapped around my waist and a sweatshirt tossed over my arm cause it gets cold in there. She took pride in embrrassing me in front of other donors and when I reported her UNPROFESSIONAL behavior ..the female manager defen

There attitude really is not professional. I'm supposed to see a nurse and they keep telling me she or he called off or is busy. I waited 2 hours to see this nurse that was to busy walking around. And today 8-10-21 was told to go to the Youngstown office. I don't go anywhere else but there. I don't know what there problem is with ppl. Alot needs to change. My dad is on oxygen waiting on me in the parking lot and there nurse can't find the time to watch me walk I guess idk why I can walk but I have to see th

All the ladies, Sav, Sue, Lindsay are all very friendly and are good at the job. Also Amanda is great! Thanks ladiesssss!!

This place is great, people who work here are kind, just one thing I would like to suggest, in the waiting line for donor floor after vitals would be nice to get some type of benches along the wall for to sit when we are waiting in line for an hour. There's plenty of room for benches..

CSL will subtly bully their donors, because they know they are of low-income and will not speak out against condescending treatment, and that they are financially obligated to continue donating plasma. CSL takes full advantage of this, and their attitude is reflected in most of their staff. There are some good staff members, but they are outnumbered. There is an acceptable degree of professionalism, and returning donors only spend 3 hours tops most of the time.

This center is very clean, all the staff from beginning to end are super friendly, professional and make you feel at ease.

Employee missed the vein. Got a huge bruise. Couldn't donate the next available time. Was told I had to have the Dr. Look at it. Called the day he was supposed to be there at 11. He was gone by 12:20.

ALL employees do a wonderful job and does well with a donor with autism. Underrated in my judgement of how they do their jobs. Thanks.

Horrible staff, tell you one thing on the phone and something completely different when you go to donate

Well my first time was a bummer. My second time was way cooler. Thanks to Sr. phlebotomist Laytoya who really knows her job. The whole staff was really good 8/14/2018.

Heather is an awesome receptionist she always gets me through my vitals and all the flubs and managers are awesome

It's a great place with good workers that really care about there ppl never had any problems

These plasma places are open up in towns that have a lot of homeless poor people! They are getting rich off of our people they make a lot more off of one bag of plasma than they pay if everyone stood up against theee places you'd make more than what they are paying people! We need to quit letting people & places screw us over, I talk to a lady who researched these places there put where poverty is high quit making people richer off of others sickness

Kristin is a great worker I love her energy and I just wanna take her home with me ??

This is the best place to donate. Great staff very freindly. And very professional. I would highly recommend coming here. And there's no" street walkers or drug addicts" just good honest people helping the comunity.

Always a very kind and caring staff ! I know I'm in good hands whenever I come to donate !!

Well i lost a month of donations because of erroneous information. I didnt have my social card but didnt need it. I explained i hadn't been here in the last six months. So because soneone didnt want to listen to understand i lost.

Nice staff, pay is great first 5 times after that it's a little less than most places, I've tried to call on 5 different occasions with questions and I've only received an answer twice. Moves pretty fast and has an app that can give you an estimate of when it's best to donate

If you're going to donate anywhere around here, this is where you need to go! This place blows Youngstown & Austintown out of the water. Cleanliness, friendliness & speed of service was A1, period.

Closest csl plasma center near me it's about an hour drive and they refused to let me donate because of a tiny red mark on my arm that was too close to where they stick me, if I could post the picture I have of it I'd show how ridiculous it was, and since I've stopped going I've had no red marks, so I'm guessing it's whatever they're putting on my arm that's causing it.

Heather is fantastic and brings great energy to the facility. Love this place

Very good. Staff is always very nice and positive. Donation was great and quick.

Heather and Amanda are amazing!!! Always have a good experience here and well taken care of!

Staff are always super friendly and helpful! Heather in particular is always super kind!

Good people and great staff never had a problem or a bad experience going there

Extremely understaffed and unprofessional, I advise everybody to stay as far away as this place as possible. It was an truly agonizing experience to be there.

DON'T EVER USE THIS PLACE!!! THEY WILL BRUISE BOTH ARMS(EMPLOYEES JUST DONT CARE) THEN TELL YOU THAT CAUSE YOUR ARM IS BRUISED THAT YOU CAN'T DONATE. HOW CONVENIENT WHEN I NEED 1 MORE DONATION FOR THE MONTH TO HIT THE $60 DOLLAR BONUS!!! THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE... BIO PLASMA IN AUSTINTOWN IS SOOOOO! MUCH BETTER!!!

Wonderful staff, if you go in with a major attitude ecpect one back as they are there to help you not to be belittled by someone.

A lot of junkies and street walkers inside. But, if you need a quick $35, come get it. The dealers hang out in the lobby to hook you up when you leave.

I never had a bad experience the workers are so nice and respectful go to Csl on elm road

New at facility so much better more professional compared to Biotest in Austintown Plaza Dan is a very nice employee makes everyone feel comfortable very professional I highly recommend this new facility in Warren ????

Love it very friendly professional and most times pretty quick at getting you hooked up just takes a lil timely getting you unhooked.

Everything is always goid when I come her. Staff is very friendly and know what they are doing

This is the best CSL center. It's always clean the staff is always friendly.

i love this place! the process is very easy and fast and the people there are very nice!

Great staff super helpful with any concerns with the whole process

Nurse ratchet differed me for playing music in the parking lot and I didn't even donate! I wasn't signed in and didn't get paid for anything so how can I get differed?! Gave 2 stars because most the staff is professional. Will be speaking with management, hopefully no more nurse ratchet!
