Nice guys in the front ( Travis and Amere ) helpful and courteous.
Pretty nice and clean place staff is pretty friendly and answer any questions and even is willing to take time to make sure you understand why things are done a certain way. The Benton harbor location is not far but if they had one in Dowagiac would be more convenient they could even look into the old rite aid building
My parents own a hotel that we also live in. I've lived there my whole life and as they have aged stayed to help them. Because I live in this property I got turned down and told I cannot donate as long as I live there. I was super excited to go to this place and talk to the workers as a student in a PCT program and looking for different experiences that other medical programs hold and see if this facility was a positive environment as I get my certification in April. Extremely sad to see I just cannot give
very friendly, professional & quick staff! the girls make everyone feel welcomed and always giving us a laugh.. they try to work as fast as they can to get you donating while still following all safety guidelines! Props to that!! Norma, Jennifer, Sam, & Miracle, are the absolute best!
Norma made my visits one of the best. She's very polite. Beautiful smile. And when sticking with a needle. You don't feel anything. She's definitely an employee I would give the highest rating to
I am less than impressed with this business. I have donated a total of three or four times and two out of three/four times have been an absolutely hassle (with a side quest of ?that's not my problem?). Unfortunately I am stuck going here but forewarning to others who enter here?you'll get frustrated. My very first appointment my partner was jerked around on when they would get the bonus because the information posters on the referral bonus inside Freedom Plasma do not specify ALL of the requirements on wha
Miracle is one of my favorite people to see working when I come to donate! She is always smiling, so friendly and always happy. She makes it fun to be there... But I do miss our Bingo time we had going on with her! What happened to that? Bring that back or something else to play while we're sitting there. Thanks Miracle for being you ????
I've had a good experience with the staff CC is great and I appreciate her so much! She's gentle and really looks out for the donors
My husband Larry Sikes goes there and he loves all the workers they are very friendly and he always comes out with a smile they make him feel very welcome and who said it was ghetto is crazy everyone is like family. He's been to a few plasma places and he likes Benton Harbor and their staff the best.
super ghetto, employees (besides Lashonda i think her name is, she's so nice and professional) are ghetto and rude always cussing and talking bad to customers, i?ve been donating here for 2 months now and have never been there less than 2-2.5 hours it takes forever for some reason, RARELY get in when my appointment time is such as set appointment for 9am won't get back to donate til 10:30 sometimes 11 maybe later. Very poor customer service and would never recommend for anyone to donate here it's not worth
I've tried messaging them through their website twice and called and no luck to make an appointment or get any information. Minor update: after doing some more reading, a lot of ppl think this place is ghetto and the employees are trash talkers. Not to mention that response below, there's no one there named Marissa and that's the same number I called numerous times. It's just an automated response. Yeah they care all right.
Alecia is my go to poker. No one stabs like her
Norma and Travis are so amazing! In and out the fastest I have experienced here so far the many times I have came in. Norma was very gentle with putting needle in very kind .Travis was very professional and very helpful!
CiCi is really my girl. She makes me feel so welcomed and cared for. She's gentle cause she knows I'm scared of needles. But I appreciate her and all the times she's made donations not only calmer but almost fun if it makes sense. She can make me laugh when I wanna cry I don't know how she knows but she's a good person
Rosemary??. She's the BEST person that's there. Honestly she's the most excellent screener, & if I could choose ANYONE to have screen me & or poke me it would be her ?????. I love how comfortable she makes me & I love how compassionate she is for her work! She's truly AMAZING ?????????. - Da?Sha ??
Davi did an amazing job doing my needle stick today! She's super friendly and has great time management. All around a wonderful worker!
Norma was awesome today!! Great staff as always. Fun environment, makes it easy when you feel like your hanging out with friends while you donate.
It's nothin short of a "MIRACLE" having the pleasure of getting a poke from the one and only "MIRACLE" Herself!!! She is by far, my favorite, sorry girls... Y'all are all a close 2nd though!!! I appreciate every single one of you girls, and I want to just say THANK YOU for everything y'all do!!! Keep up the great work, much love ?? ??
I've been going to Freedom Plasma since the fall of 2023. The staff I've interacted with have always helped me feel at ease and comfortable, even when there has been a need for a minor adjustment or something during the process. When there are staffing shortages and the staff gets some negative feedback from people waiting, they let them know as kindly as they can that they are doing all they can to get people in as quick as they can while still remaining positive as they hussle. I don't know everyone?s nam
They are the best plus I like the crew all positive vibes whenever I come to donate Big P...lol peace.
Most everyone seems very knowledgeable and is very friendly. There is a newer lady, a little older, her name is Henrietta I think. She doesn't seem to know what she's doing. I witnessed her going from one person to another without changing her gloves. She also didn't ask if I was allergic to latex and she had never helped me before so it's not like she had prior knowledge. Hopefully this is just a learning curve and she gets the hang of it quickly so she's not putting people in danger.
8/31/24 Update: As the reply to my review suggested, I called and asked for Marissa (that's the name that was signed at the end of their reply to my original review) and I was told that nobody by that name worked there. When I told them that was the name given on my Google review reply the girls tone got crappy and she said she would have a manager call me but they were all too busy right then. I said ok and asked for the managers name; It is Amanda. Well guess who never called me?Amanda? or anyone else. Cl
Keaysia was very patient and made me feel comfortable. Ciera assisted keaysia with my stick and I felt heard and in control of my donation the whole time. I would recommend more staff has the same professionalism .
If you fail 2 blood draws for low protein levels, they make you go to YOUR Dr. to get cleared to donate. Then you bring your paperwork back, with approval & now their Dr. has to clear you & he only comes on Friday, so don't expect to donate that day. We'll, now their Dr. cleared you, but you still can't donate!! You can only get a sample taken again to be cleared!! I was cleared by my Dr. & your Dr., so I don't understand all this unnecessary extra stuff. It's like they don't believe the Dr.'s clearance or
Every time I go it's really a pleasant experience and pretty fast. The last couple times I went I had lashonda taking care of me, and she always makes me feel so welcomed! Over all everyone there is really nice !
Staff is wonderful! Ciera, Sam, Davi, Renae, Marlika, Norma, nursing staff and all of the front /screening staff, Jamie , Jessica , Kiki are always delightful and helpful. Facility is clean and professional.
Ciera gives awesome service, she my favorite. She always makes sure you smile and are comfortable while donating . She's the best
Marlika is just amazing worker she works hard any time I see her and she always knows how to make people laugh and make people feel welcome and just relax she also make sure her work is done and get done
I've tried CSL, Octopharma, This is the far best only because I don't know anybody else's name. Daisy pops up. She as well as anybody else there exemplify. Professionalism, they are hospitable, pleasant and for the most part. Any problems i've had were related to my mistakes in scheduling. This is the best from what I know of so far Group of professionals, their payouts are better than anybody, but i've experienced so far. Highly recommended. Not everybody likes to think they need to go someplace and get st
I'm not certain but I think her name is Jessica (she does the vitals) has long braids she is so nice and helpful I get anxious and she helps me feel at ease. Jamie is also very nice and she does a good job. The ladies on the floor have also been very nice they do their jobs well.
Norma is so awesome and sweet she has a friendly soul
Half the time I've gone there they've Denied me because I was ?clearly dehydrated? or because they couldn't find my vein. This place is 50/50. If they find your vein and are tolerable they'll do it.
So don't know how I stunk when I took a shower the night previous sprayed myself with deodorant and body spray before even walking in there and nobody complained that we're sitting right next to me yet the staff had to tell they had complaints. Even when you smell good you smell bad I guess ???? I only put a two because at least they had me out quick ????????
They took care of me absolutely enjoy the experience looking forward to coming back norma is very helpful she took her time very experience had a lot of patience I'm glad to be under her care
I just want people to know that Norma has made donating a wonderful experience and I highly recommend having her take care of you if you can. Such wonderful people working make donating a pleasure
I have donated plasma for over a decade, and I can say for certain that Freedom Plasma, in Benton Harbor Michigan, is an example of how things should be done. The staff are professional, friendly, and efficient. The center is clean and laid out well. The donation process is quick and easy compared to other places I have donated at. On those days where it is really busy and things are backed up, I would often spend 3 plus hours waiting to donate at other places I have donated at. Here in Benton Harbor, the
Travis is so helpful I would love to get him every time I come
The staff are so professional, yet are also warm and personable. They take excellent care of their donors, and even somehow make it fun. When you are there, you can see how well everyone works together, how smoothly everything is managed and that team members truly love their jobs. They are a great group of people and I really can't recommend them enough!
Nobody can do there job everyone is just standing around talking and not doing there damn jobs
Miracle is an excellent person. She always gets the job done, and has a very positive attitude everytime I see her ?????.
Cierra (CC) is amazing! Fun energy and always attentive to everyone?s needs. Very thankful to see her when i walk in!
Marlika Has a wonderful personality & is alway very helpful when I donate each week. I have witnessed her dedication working with many donors helping them through the registration process.
Ciera is always in good spirits and has a great amazing attitude she's very kind and always helpful she does a good job and always helping on the floor great asset to the team keep up the good work ?? ??????????????
Make sure you ask about payout schedule, after you've done 9 visits and you've received hundred bucks per visit. Pay drops down, they pay by your weight. My weight is 145 my pay rate is 40/70. 40 one visit 70 next. I went this past Saturday received forty dollars, told me visit today which I did. After donating received 40...? I asked about payout and was told it's a new week. It only applies when you work it both appt into same week. Would have been nice to know this is how it works. Sad.
I donated plasma a long time ago and decided to start again last week. At my first donation appointment, I started to black out; but Veronica was right there. I was panicking, but she was immediately by my side as a professional, comforting presence. She stopped the process , gave me ice packs, and fanned me until I was better. She also stood by and made sure I fully recovered before she allowed me to leave. She even delayed going on her break to make sure I was okay. In so many public industries you feel l
Norma was very patient and dedicated to her job. I'm very happy with the care received and will be requesting her again.
Norma did a great job with my donation. Didn't hurt at all while being poked always very friendly and welcoming. definitely would recommend freedom plasma to everyone!
Monique in their front office almost makes me NEVER want to return to this location to donate. Extremely unprofessional and extremely unfriendly and she almost ruined my first experience donating. The rest of the staff are AMAZING and did a fantastic job.
Bavi and ciera are literally the best. Stick ya with a laugh and I wouldn't want anyone else sticking my veins. Bavi will be missed as she goes to college!!!!
Miracle is the sweetest person, shes also really funny!! Anytime I walk in she never fails to make me laugh!!!
Sam always gives the best pokes. She is also very patient, considerate, and kind. She always goes above and beyond for description, and me! In highly recommend her!
Made appointment for 15 min after arriving. 45 min later people came in after made appt and within 15 min were donating. I sat for another 15 30 min and as per their policies I notified them the attendents were lettng people who made appts 1/2 hour after me were being allowed to go in front of me. I talked to some short fellow who did nothing. I sat for another 45 min and still people going ahead of me. I complained once more and staff said I didnt hear them say my name, they again made no effort to preces
Norma and Mo is always friendly and personable! They make coming in a pleasant experience. If you want a pain free poke see Norma!
I had my first donation today. Casey and Amanda did my physical/intake stuff. They were SUPER kind and very informative. They made it all a pleasant experience. On top of it, toward the end of my donation I started to feel unwell and the staff did an amazing job to make sure I was comfortable and okay before leaving the center. Amazing staff all around!
Travis was amazing. Very kind, attentive, and huge for patient advocacy. 10/10
Veronica goes over and beyond always helpful, and when she sticks it never hurts, very active and aware, always helping her peers as well
Always goes with how I need to do things! Great work
Dawn was awesome and made me feel very welcome to the center, but the nurse, Julia made me feel just the exact opposite! She was very offensive with a comment she kept making, before finally saying she had animal allergies!! Lasonda, the phlebotomist turned my visit back to good though. She was great on needle insertion and informative with a beautiful smile. Thanks Dawn and Lasonda!
Love this center, Lashonda makes me feel so welcome and appreciated. The entire staff at the Benton Harbor center are amazing!! 5 stars across the board.
Cc is always awesome! Friendly, fun, and helpful! Always happy to see her face!
Norma is amazing. Everytime time I donate plasma and get Norma I know my visit will be quick and painless. Thanks for the positive experience Norma.
5 stars this place really professional belanka was awesome what a pleasant way. To start my screening and Norma my phlebotomist awesome as always way to go freedom plasma these 2 ladies rock
Miss Shonda is always cheerful and always make sure she says goodbye, and Norma is the nicest poker person that's helped me.
I originally rated this place when they gave me a QR code to do so in the middle of my visit. Immediately after they told me I couldn't donate because I'm a wheelchair user who cannot stand independent and they have a requirement that you can "stand on the scale independently". There are plenty of ways to accurately get the weight of a wheelchair user without them standing on a scale.
Dawn did a fantastic job during registration, which is the initial point of contact for a new donor, along with the first impression you get. She was thorough, kind, and professional. Give this woman a raise or a promotion!
Normal is a great person she pokes excellent miss ty is such a sweetheart all smiles ??
I love Ronis attitude. She's always nice and well spoken!!!
Get ready for 2+ hours of time, everytime. I pump in 30-35 minutes once I actually get started but it takes an hour or more after the set appointment time to finally get poked. Not worth it once you pass the new donor bonus, and even that is barely worth it.
Ciera, Sam, Jami are awesome ladies! They are very good at what they do. Always good experiences when I donate at Freedom Plasma
Norma was great. She is a great poker. Very polite and nice.
The pay is good, the place is pretty clean, but expect to spend a long time each visit. Even though they have it set up so each person has an appointment, it's almost always an hour before they even get you in and that's with an appointment!!
Ciera is a great worker and she always makes me feel comfortable.
They are all amazing! Norma always puts a smile on my face!
Donating plasma saves lives. I should know as plasma helped me and I wanted to give back. I am impressed with the staff and how easy the process is to experience. The staff is very professional which made me comfortable. I've noticed how kind Lashonda is to me and others. She tells not only me but others goodbye and thanks me/them for coming. That's great customer service. Thank you Lashonda and others that help me and are kind and make donating plasma easy.
Norma is one of the best phlebotomists at Freedom she gives me the smoothest painless pokes ever
Honestly all the staff on the floor are too busy dancing to club music or on their phones to help anyone. I also wonder how many breaks this place has there was a girl up front that seemed to disappear multiple times and for more than 20 minutes each time. The managers are just as bad because they allow them to do it and even joining in with them. It is nice to have fun at work i understand that but, there was a lot of unprofessional behavior going on between staff and donors. The donors definitely run the
Norma is awesome when it comes to paying attention to the people's needs.very attentive and super friendly.
Miracle and marlekya are funny and top tier workers/Norma good as well she the only one who can draw my blood
Monique and Norma and Marlika screened me so well when I came in all there attitude was exciting all of these girls here at freedom plasma do a good job always making everyone laugh and just always in a good mood each time I come here always growing a close bond with them all regardless of the situation.Everyone is like a family here Mrs.Gulledge does a excellent poke on me when it's time for me to get in a seat.
I thought that they were fair and impartial to all but I know that the staff and leaders of freedom plasma are getting and unprofessional and they never poke you just once because they all need more training the only two people that work there that are professional is Miracle and Lashonda they be hung over and there lazy and make way to many mistakes they deferred me because of a incident that occurred almost a year ago and said that its permanent but I know for a fact that the reason they deferred me for t
Leshonda do awesome job she greet people when they come in and out she always has a smile on her face.
Had a great experience Jessica ,Marlika took care of me. All the lady's are great keep up the good work
Dawn was very friendly and understanding when she helped me. She is a very nice person to me every time I come in here. Please let her know
Dawn was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She got me set up for my first appt super quickly
I've been donating plasma at this place for a few months now and every time is a great experience! The staff is kind, skilled, and always have a smile for you. Last time I went LaShonda was outstanding!
Davie was so kind and helpful. This was my first time attempting to donate and she answered all of my questions without an issue. She was gentle and compassionate
Jasmine was great, she checked on me regularly and made sure I was doing OK. All the staff here is great and I recommend coming.
All the girls do an amazing job from screening to the phlebotomy floor. Lashonda, Davie, and Norma always make me feel so welcome.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
