Freedom Plasma Lancaster, PA

Freedom Plasma Lancaster, PA

Reviews Summary

The reviews show a polarized experience. Many praise the friendly, professional staff and clean facilities, highlighting positive interactions and efficient processes. However, significant complaints focus on long wait times, inconsistent management, poor communication, and low pay relative to time invested. Some donors report unprofessional behavior, needle injuries, or false test results. While loyal donors appreciate the staff, frustration with corporate policies, scheduling issues, and declining service quality under new management is common. The center’s value depends heavily on individual encounters, with experiences ranging from highly rewarding to deeply unsatisfactory.

Not a bad place to go if you have the desire to help medical science and wanna make a little extra money. The staff is friendly and professional. I was very nervous my first visit, but everyone made the process easy and comfortable.

The wait time is ridiculous now. I thought the appointment time slots would help but now it's even worse. I do not recommend to anyone.

Most of the time this place is great, but it's clear that's 100% because of the people - NOT Griffols. The amount you get paid went way down after Griffols bought out Freedom Plasma; they increased the donation amount for some people but not others and those who donate more get paid the same; they replaced the bowls on the machine so that now my donations take 10-15 minutes longer and the staff isn't allowed to fix it; and then today - because they fired people who came before the buyout so they could hire

I was us to the system at another Grifols, were we were able to walk in for donations. At this location, MAKE SURE you schedule because they have a lot of donors and can't do walk ins. On the other hand, most of the staff is very friendly, shout out Violet and Jean! And Carl has been amazing at verifying payouts, answering questions and ensuring clients get their bonuses!

Place doesn't even deserve a star. If it wasn't for a few staff members and the fact everyone in this country is hurting for money I would of stop coming months ago.... who ever owns this company is a joke. 45 bucks isn't worth all the hoops and the ever increasing standards they impose. Break it down after the amount of time you spend here either on ur day off, ur lunch break or after work... you never can rely to be out of here consistently. Why make appointments for people when all that is a reservation

When are you going to either open more pods to treat more patients or stop scheduling so many appointments at a time. This is ridiculous, 36 people waiting to donate. It's ludicrous to spend 3 hours here almost everytime I come. Either open the whole floor or increase the payout amount! Spending 3 hours out of my day (almost everytime) just to get $55 is not acceptable. The second visit for the week, hoping to get more money is impossible some weeks since appts fill up. Unless you come at "O-dark thir

Very unprofessional never have staff on deck just yeah don't go. Just go find a job or sign up for Uber eats or DoorDash so serious do not come here. Do not come here. I'm telling you it's the worst place ever do not come here.

was better when it was freedom this place now is garbage they require you to know the last 4 of your donor Id even tho you give them ur social and your birth date and if not provided cant donate for the day ridiculous freedom never did that.another thing is the absolute mess the scheduling appointment system is example I was trying to donate and schedule appointments but there isnt anything available for the next two weeks freedom just let you walk In this is supposed to be a "fancier" plasma center but in

Good luck getting a job here. There a robot that will text you that's named Cora she will text you and set up a an interview that's supposed to be by phone the day of the interview you wait to be called and you get no call but a text message saying sorry we tried to call you but there was no answer. That's funny because I never received any missed calls saying who it's from and the number it was from. Interesting because this happened twice now. Texted Cora and I told her I never received any missed calls a

Everybody in there was awesome! From the time I walked in everybody was friendly and helped through the process. Special thanks to Dan and Brooklyn. Definitely worth it go check them out! ????????

Their process has turned into a joke since they started scheduling appointments. You get there five minutes early? You have to wait to check in until your exact appointment time. Checked in? Be prepared to still wait another 45 minutes. I stopped going for a while but thought I'd check it out again today. Same old miserable managers yelling behind the counter. The two at the front desk were great, though. I sure hope their next job treats them better.

This place is taking advantage of the disadvantaged people who are desperate for money to make ends meet. Make billions a year but pay pennies! The only way to put a stop to this is for people to stop letting themselves be taken advantage of!!

The staff are always great, however they seem short staffed everytime I go there. The staff say that it's always due to call offs. Plan on 2-3 hours if not scheduled for first thing in the morning. This isn't a complaint, just letting you know. Never had a bad experience here. You just have to be understanding and dont take it out on the staff because they showed u!

I would like to give a big shout-out to Amy Sarah and the rest of the Grifols in Lancaster donation company that makes the visit very comfortable thank you for your genuine care for us

I recommend this place! Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Just watching the staff work and interact with each other and with the donors is heart warming. Makes me want to join the team. Thank you guys for all you do for the community!

First time donating plasma and it went as expected (which isn't a bad thing lol) First, they were very busy but were getting people situated rather quickly. I did kind of get forgotten about and was there for about an hour and a half before someone realized lol I won't hold that against them because of how busy they were though. Once they got to me everything kind of went quickly from there and the whole process was pretty comfortable. The first time you go you can go as a walk-in but after that you do n

Regular donor for a year now- I walked in today and there was 3 people in total waiting to be processed. Still, it took them 1 hour and 15 minutes to stick me. First appointment took 7 hours, while Octapharma in York took 2.5 hours for the first one. Meanwhile here that's a normal amount of time for return apts, when if there was no wait time it would take an hour. Staff is nice but there's constantly drama, high turnover, never enough staff on duty for the amount of donors. Rules change every few weeks, an

This is the most ridiculous set up I ever heard of. No appointments, if your not standing in a line before 6:30 am you can plan on spending an entire day here. They make it impossible for people with jobs and families to donate. Unless your homeless or jobless who has 6 hours or more for their first appointment. And I'm sorry but what female is standing inline in the dark to "donate ". All because the manager decided to many people didn't show up for appointments. Give a 10 minute window if they don't show

I use to go here it was good but when I got blood drawn and they said I had something in my blood but there machine could be wrong instead of tested again they go u can't donate here but u can go to another plasma so screw them

This is the perfect side hustle for the holidays! My first visit took a while but after that goes pretty quickly. Even on days where it seemed a little hectic the people were nice and professional. I saw a tech with her arm in a sling, still doing her thing and checking on donors to make sure we were comfortable. I appreciate the organization here l

Highly don't recommend coming here, they're always switching companies and no matter what company it is the service sucks. My appointment was at 3 today but yet I wasn't called to the chair until 4pm

Staff was great and attentive. The first donor process took me about 3.5 hours but the staff did a great job explaining everything that goes on and what to expect step by step. The actual donation process was easy and again, the staff was great. The gentleman that looked after me was friendly and personable. The facility was very clean and very professional. However, for the second time since my first time, I've left before even having my vitals taken. This last time I waited 90 minutes before I had enough

My first time donating. Everyone was super-professional and friendly. Thoroughly explained process to me. Clean facility. Many supervisors monitoring workers while workers monitor donors, so I felt quite safe. Pay card and appointment app easy to use. Very cold in center so bring sweater. My only complaint is that I wasn't informed about needing my SS card upon first donation. Had to run to bank and get it out of safety deposit box, but other than that, positive experience!

They make you wait and they discontinued my service for their faulting.

Ive been going to this center for months now. It usually takes 1-2.5 hours from start to finish for the process to be done. Them having music was the only thing that makes this grueling process tolerable. Now its like a quiet dreadful hospital feeling being here. I sincerely hope this changes back to the way it was. Not only does music make time fly, but it also boosts morale and generally everyone is in a good mood. It seems cold and dead now.

I've been donating for about three months. My favorite thing about this facility is the staff. They're very kind and friendly. The equipment is updated and works well. The temperature in the room isnt like other places and the chairs are comfortable. My only complaint is that they provide a Tv for donators to watch. When I first started coming it was on, but now we aren't allowed to use it. It's very strange! I understand that inappropriate music with swearing and sexual references shouldn't be played on i

It does get a little busy at times but if you can be patient, it is a rewarding experience. Not only are you able to help others, but you are able to make a decent bit of money doing so. The facility is very clean and proper procedures are followed. I feel comfortable with the abilities of the staff and management. You can also earn an extra $10 per donation for being a first responder of any kind and/or military. The more you donate, the more you get paid during promotional periods. You can donate up to 2

Returned today after my hiatus from a surgery, I was lucky enough to get Gail and we picked up where we left off! So glad she is still a constant professional leader as before. Her poke was painless and quick. Waiting room was a bit crowded and slow going g but when meeting with the nice gentleman Michael Brown to get blood pressure etc. Things ran pretty smooth. Plan to return often!

Staff very friendly but short handed. Only complaint, loyal donors should get paid same for first visit due to long wait times even with an appointment there are times you could be there up to 3 1/2 hours. With todays prices of food and gas that 45 does not goes as far as it should! Thanks

I was hopeful that things would get better when they changed it to appointment only. Unfortunately, it seems to have gotten worse. The staff that is there is friendly, but they are understaffed. Even with the appointments, the wait is crazy long. I haven't seen the whole floor open in a while, and I know that they have closed early a few times, which most likely irritated the folks that had appointments during that time.

One of the worst experiences I have ever been apart of in any plasma donating facility or corporation. Between management and staff I don't know who is supposed to be in charge. They never open on time, to the point where there is a line outside. They recently started doing appointments and they called and canceled my appointment, do to them being backed up. Which contradicts having appointments in the first place. I've seen multiple donors walking out with blood dripping on the floor. The staff and managem

I've donated 4 times, yeah schedule an appointment and they take u maybe an hour later after appointment time. First 3 times no problem drawing blood, the end of the 3rd time she ripped out the needle like she was starting a lawnmower, now yesterday the 4th time guy poked me 3 times and still no flow, my arm hurts and is black n blue, done with it! With an average of 3 hours there not worth the $100 whatever bucks

It would be nice if the staff here could get on the same page? Every other day they are implementing a policy opposite from the last. Very unprofessional! In the end I walk away feeling like it's my fault just for trying to explain what was explained to me, Knowing somone didn't do their job correctly.

I have donated at this location 3 times so far. For the most part, I think this location is a good place and would recommend it. It's clean, the staff do a good job, the compensation is very good. Getting through the line to get vitals checked is what takes the longest. My first time I was there 5 hrs, 2nd time was 2 1/2 and 3rd time I was in and out in 1 1/2 hrs. And 4th time only 1 Hr 15 min. So my experience keeps improving. I like that they have water available, and I can actually sit down while I wait.

Horrible. I called over and over for 3 weeks trying to find out how to donate, there is never an answer or way to leave a message. Requested a call through website twice, no call. Took a half day off work and did the prep the day before, went in at 8am and all appointments booked for the day, no way to make a future appointment. Don't know how anyone makes this work with a job. Poor customer service. Response to owners response: my name isn't in your system - I wasn't able to get an appointment so they did

Too slow. They changed everything to appointments. Bit you still have to wait hours to get attended even if you booked your appointment earlier. What's the point anyway? You wait while new comers get attended first.

ms Bonita and the rest of staff here at Grifols Freedom continue to be awesome!!

Staff is very pleasant, and efficient. With appointment i was in and out quickly. Only issue i had is u can not scedehule appointments through their website. U have to go to facebook which is very stupid.

This place is actually run professionally. Ignore the negative reviews. Just like anywhere when you're serving the public, your visit is going to depend a lot on how many /what kinds of clientele they have there.

Stop donating plasma here. Since Grifols has taken over they've decreased the reimbursement twice in a matter of weeks. I donated for grifols in Utah and it was even less reimbursement there because it was a college town and people were desperate. All grifols cares about is making the most they can off of people who really do need the money and they have a monopoly here so they can. It's so unethical and disgusting. Stop shafting your donors!!!!!!! Take good care of them, and they will take care of you. Inf

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I was very displeased with my services I received at this facility. Will not be going back. It's all because I had a horrible experience with a nurse there. I'm pretty sure her name was Katrina. She was rude and very ignorant not only towards me, but her coworkers too. Belittling them when they were trying to take my blood. I almost wanted to tell her to go away myself. The facility wasn't very clean either.

Makayla hooked me up to my machine and was amazing!! She talked to me the whole time which really helped calm my nerves during the worst part (needle :0). I had a reaction towards my last cycle and everybody was so helpful! They all made me feel like I was in really good hands and being well taken care of! I have donated at CSL, Grifols, and Octapharma but this place takes the trophy for best donation center I've been to. Clean and friendly environment at all times. Nice seating areas and fast times to get

Sticks are always well done, hurts more when they anchor my skin tho, So I ask them not to. The only unprofessionalism I have seen is on the part of donors. Some loud, obnoxious, talking inappropriately. I also do not care for how ppl are in the donation area..not donating. Just conversing and overall in the way. No management ever say to please exit. Gail runs a smooth ship and tries being fair overall. I imagine it's a tough job to manage everything in such close quarters but she does great. Brooklyn is

I will not be going back. Was watching the names list on the TV and 4 people walked in and went to the screening without seeing there names on the list and went back to donate before me I Waited 4 hours and was going to have to wait at least another hour to start I will not waste my time again They never reach out to you and they don't care just like when they're not paying attention to what's going on the workers pick their friends to go first and if you say anything your the problem THIS PLACE NEEDS TO

Used to be a long wait, under new management, and with input from donors they have reduced the wait time. Bonuses have been extended and increased at least for now. Phlebotomists are in good spirits, and friendly, most of the time. Overall good experience. It feels good to save lives.

Every time I come to donate I'm always well taking care of thanks to these 3 people natalee, Shatala, and Jacob. They are the best at what they do I don't just come here for the money. The experience of me being here has been amazing not only to donate to the ones that need it the most but I have created friendships with every single one. I am grateful, thankful we still have great people on this earth.

I've been coming to this location for atleast 2 years now and I've seen over the last couple of visits the actual SUPERVISOR taby the manager/management when the owner isn't proceeded to argue with another workers and asked if they would like to take it outside so they could fight and these are words straight from the supervisor I had stopped doing after the differed me after they blew both of my arm vains and tried to restick after it had swollen this place is needs new Management on the floor because they

Always busy. But the phlebotomists do great to keep up with the demand, even when there's only one or two working. The girls are also very kind and personable given the amount of stress and pressure they deal with.

The experience once inside is great, but them actually answering the phone is another story. I called over 30 times in 2 or 3 days and not once did anyone answer the phone.

Appt only now. I like to donate when I have time after work. I don't have a rigid schedule. Although I understand why the process changed, I doubt it will result in speedier donations. I imagine the donations will decrease as a result of this change.

They are a scam and I highly don't recommend going to them ! They told me as soon as I walked in I need to eat. I spent the last few bucks I had for them to look at my veins and say you don't have good veins. Made me spend money for nothing ! Will be reporting them to the better business bureau! I spoke with a manager and all he said was he could talk to them instead of reimbursing me for the money THEY MADE ME SPEND!

All of the instructions and requirements were made very clear. It was only my first time and I took about 3 hours. The whole staff was incredibly nice and patient. I will be visiting again very soon!

All the staff is very kind and friendly. I really enjoy donating my plasma here. I only wish they were open at least until maybe 5 pm, versus 4 pm since it makes it a struggle for people in working normal work hours to get in.

I donate with grifols in Fayetteville NC I'm here in Lancaster with family they told me that I can not donate I must be a resident but that has no deter if I'm already donating with grifols and already in there system

I came here to get screen and approved to donate plasma they pretty much accused me of being on pills cause they say I have slurred speech when i have speech problem since I was a child. This place is very judge mental and unprofessional.

I was told that I couldn't donate until my test results come back and it's been over 2 weeks since I did the sample and no one has called me back and when I try to call I always get the same message that there's no one there to talk to me and it hangs up on me . This is very aggravating .. All because my protein level was 5.7

I would give this place -5 stars if I could. The staff was not helpful at all! We live in our car right now and we donated at a kedplasma in Cambria county Pa and they were sooo nice but these people, not so much. And even tho they texted us and told us to come in we couldn't donate and it was a.huge waste of time! Edit- I dont know how to reply but you are welcome to message me but im not putting my full name out there.

Showed up to my appointment at 915 am was told I'd get my payment but it might take a little while because they are busy , still haven't received my payment and when I tired to call they answered said opps like they didn't mean to then hung up , still have not heard anything back yet

This place is very unmanaged !!! You have to make appointments and still sit there for 3 plus hours .. the staff are over worked !! They definitely need to figure out how to run the business better!!

First time donating here. Super clean and everyone was professional with a sense of humor. I was in and out in under 2 hrs, which I did not expect since I showed up around 11.

Horrible and rude staff you call ahead saying they are doing new Intakes and when you get there they tell you they aren't taking anybody due to "low staff" which is absolute bull

These people are so unprofessional. You wait hours after your appt while they goof off and joke about unprofessional things.

I was there and they bruised my arm both of them and they told me on the 5th a doctor will reach out to me nothing today makes 15 days no reach out no doctor i made numerous calls they told me bs everytime so I guess that's how they do there patients so be watchful with them they tell a whole bunch of lies and do there patients messed up I was there and they put me out and dismissed me for there error

I won't go into much detail, but I will say you guys have definitely had my back for the past few donations. Shout out to Becky for your kindness today1/28/23. You gave me the hope that I definitely needed in life right now. <3

Ok so here goes nothing....the only people I will let stick me are Makayla,Gail ,Natalie, and tay they're my favorites in no specific order lol I will say don't ever let someone stick you unless you've talked to the returning donors or seen for yourself....never trust the staff lol I love my select few that I associate with

Horrible management super unprofessional, their tests are so cheap they result in false positives then they bar you from donating. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Save yourself a headache and choose somewhere else!!

It's sad that they use the word freedom. I've been working nonstop trying to give so that others can have medicine it's not about the money as apparently it is for the company I've lived here my whole life serve my country and having treated with total disrespect over last 4 months I will do my best to let Lancaster county now

If i couldgive zero stars i would supervisor today said i treatened herand that she was going to call the police after i ask for her name so i can report her and a african american fat girl with dreads she been very discriminatory towars me sonce the first time i went on monday first she ding attend me because i was dehidrated and did not call me by my proper name but called me by a derogatory slur (papi) and the second time because i dint come with a piece of mail with my address now im going back with a p

Staff is great especially Don, but trying to get someone on the phone is absurd and doesn't happen I just need a question answered and it just rings and rings for a month now Still no call I swear I probably could get the white house faster on the phone

I came in twice to donate, I was turned down because they couldn't locate a vein ? I got blood drawn just fine anywhere else .. not sure how skilled the staff are or if everyone's in training

Love this place. Staff is very courteous, helpful, and friendly. Donor compensation is generous. I wish they moved into the neighborhood sooner ??

It's great, the people are friendly that works that, they know what they are doing, I've been going there over a year now,.

Twice my blood got in plasma bottle due to poor service machines very scary And I feel it's time for return donors got a increase

The staff is so kind, patient and professional. They really care about their patients and explain the process.

Had new people stick me and they bruise my arm than i cant donate. Should have workers that have more training and know what they are doing.

Be prepared to WAIT. Often takes 3 HOURS. Staff is friendly and phlebotomist are all pretty good.

Staff are efficient and the place is clean and well-organized. Highly recommend others to donate plasma here!

Staff is very professional and well trained..They are ready and willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have..Awesome facility and very clean..

Called to ask a simple question and the man that picked up had an attitude. Even if I could donate here, I'm not sure I'd want to.

Been there 4 times and have had a good experience so far. Only downside is the waiting time.

Why do y?all have appointment times for after 6? IF YALL DO NOT HAVE THE STAFF?!

Shatala aka tay is ?????????? hands down the best!!....Argue with me!

Staff is friendly. Makayla was helpful and made it painless.

Get staff and great pay, place is clean. Everyone is so friendly

Family oriented, great environment, nice people, comical moments, knowledgeable employees and management, and team work.

Everything went smoothly, the vampires got me again. ??

Used to be a good facility, used to died would not recommend unless you need the money.

The entire staff is very courteous and thorough. Any questions or concerns that I had, was answered.
