Never again will I let katosha stick my arm. She didn't have the cuff inflated when she went to stick me. I told her it hurt when she put the needle in and even started crying and I have a HIGH pain tolerance. Yet she continued to push the needle in and out. Just for her to realize that there no blood flow because the cuff is not inflated, something that she did not check before sticking my arm. Come to find out they are supposed to stop inserting the needle any further as soon as you let them know how much
Workers are disrespectful! All they do is complain and gossip! I was disrespected on a Saturday from a cranky worker that I've never even saw before. She turned it around on me and removed me from the que and got me deferred. I've never been rude or anything to a single worker there. They didn't try to hear me out or anything. It's ok. Horrible place!
Most of the people here is great mostly friendly people but one jerk almost made me explode the other day Craig phlebotomist on a power trip, thinking he is a boss or something talked down to me and I did talk to management hope they corrected him. Other than that and the nasty public restrooms this place is okay. Update: 03-03-2024 AND the Booger is still there after telling managment 3 more times! Come on now! Give be $25 and some gloves I will remove it, this is just WRONG!!! Another update 03-08-2024
I had a lasped50 coupon and hadn't donated at this location in over 2 months. I went through intake and everyone said to let the phlebotomist know. She said we don't take coupons until January 1st and you can go to another grifols if you like. I went to talcris only for them to tell me I already donated. I go back to freedom to explain what happened and the management tells me I missed my donation since I walked out and because it's Friday, I cannot donate this week. Thanks a lot. You guys wasted a weeks
I was told that they're not accepting new donors until the beginning of July because they was bought out by some company. I went there last year and I received $100 for my first 8 donations. And then I was told by somebody that it dropped drastically like more than 50%. I was told that it changed to your first 8 donations. It paid something like 65 then 45 then another 65 then 85 Then another 45 then another 85 just Remely confusing and way way way less money than what any other place offers for new Donors
Well it would be five Stars if it hadn't changed. Grifols bought out Freedom.. first they lowered the 1st time donations from 100 to 75.. then the raised (if you do two donations in the same week) from $120 to $125.. well that was June.. since I knew Grifols would be completely taking over in July.. I decided to take a break.. until the 27th of July.. oh how they have lowered their donation fee.. now you get $35 for first donation of the week and $70 for the second.. dropping your earnings to $105.. and I
Colored lady at front desk with glasses/dreads.... shouldn't be up front and dealing with customers very rude very demanding very inpatient.... scared to ask questions!!!! kind of felt some racist coming from! Her.. She's very LUCKY!!! I didn't act a fool!??
A lot of bad reviews followed by copouts from the company, you cant take new donors until July? That's absurd, I've never heard of a waiting list for donating plasma and all the comments regarding the staff being rude, lowering the payouts, this just ain't the place.
I went in today as a new donor at Freedom Plasma.I had not been there in more than an year and a half. Everything went well, until I was brought into the exam room. When my ear peircing was questioned, I told the examiner that it had been nine months ago when I got it done. Then another staff member came in with an attitude that was bigger than the room itself. This put me on edge so to speak with being spoken to rudely. Once the examiner began to proceed with this exam, it was rather an intrusive way to rul
The staff here are amazing they help you in anyway they can and they don't judge you! My first visit I had Mia do my physical and she was very calm and understanding and made me feel comfortable! Then there was John who took all my vitals and helped me also not be nervous for my first time! Then I got Erika who was the one to poke me I was nervous but she talked me through it and she did so good couldn't even feel the poke! She is very polite also! On my next visits I had Cody and Tahler who poked me and th
Freedom plasma is the best place to donate by far. This is the first place I ever tried to donate and I feel at home here . The staff are very nice and dedicated to their profession. The whole staff are the best and treat me like family. Porsche , Erica, Taylor Kaylaya and the rest of the staff make you want to come back and do it again . Ms. Ashley in management is a very nice lady and so is the rest of the staff. I would recommend Freedom plasma to all my friends and anymore who is willing to donate to gi
First time donating at this place in October and got deferred because one of the staff didn't know how to poke.. come back to rude staff and bad customer service? look don't waste your time.. Go To BioLife or CSL before this place
Went twice had no problems the first time. On my second visit I got light headed and had a seizure from the sight of my blood. Thanks to the team here I was back on my feet and ready to go about the rest of my day. I shouldn't have lied about my history of seizures. Lesson learned the hard way!
Courtney works at this location and she is great!! New and old donors love her personality and professionalism. Great atmosphere from beginning to end. The wait it not long and the facility is very clean. This is the plasma center to donate at when your in Toledo. AND YES IM VERY PICKY.
Never had any complaints until now. First they bruise my arm from donating then I unfortunately have an accident to my other arm which was due to a chemical burn, so I start covering my burn up which had no open sores or blisters and they tell me I can't donate due to the bruise on my good arm and that they weren't concerned about my burned arm cause it was wrapped and scabbed over and they tell me this the two times I try to donate but on my third try which by this time the bruise on my good arm is gone an
Today I was permanently deferred after redoing my physical because the initial interview nurse did not document my closed piercings and scars. She did not perform her job correctly and now I am made to suffer the consequences.
Wait time is the absolute worst here. Absolutely ridiculous. Over 3 hours I have waited to donate and still not on table. Everything else is great but the wait. Need to get organized better to make this go quicker please this is awful. Once I had done it had been over 4 hours since I got there and threw up when I got home since I had empty stomach by time I donated ?? will come back but scared to have this outcome again. Also have massive migraine as well now too. Really hope I don't have to wait this long
Previously I had rated this place highly.. the actual manager, screeners and most of the phlebotomist are truly awesome people who truly care about their jobs. Unfortunately, like most places, it's middle management that creates the issues. I have been going here for awhile with no issue personally, and have witnessed the manager calmly and casually handle issues with grace... Issues that often her assistant managers create. Today, the manager was not in, and I felt singled out and discriminated against. Wh
Management in this place is awful shes very rude and disrespectful she took defense when I had a concern about the machine I was hooked to it was going super fast but barely anything was coming out during the plasma collection cycle she immediately had an attitude and accused me of having an attitude I didn't yell speak to her disrespectfully curse raise my voice at her nothing at all to warrant her to end my donation didnt give me back my blood or even anything to drink to make up for the blood that was no
My husband donates here, and doesn't do Google reviews, so I am doing it for him. This is the second time this week he has had an issue with his donation, and he's been donating for over three years no problem. The employees are snarky, and essentially called him a liar when told that he has been donating plasma, he had to go as far as taking his phone out and showing them the CSL app. They do not know how to stick people. He's never had an issue with anyone finding his veins, but these employees have to wi
Staff at Freedom are amazing. Jennifer is always friendly and able to assist, Mia is a wonderful nurse, Lulu is so kind and has a big heart. I feel appreciated here. The facility is clean and I have even seen upper management clean the restrooms when needed.
longest time I waited today had a appointment @315 still waiting for a bed n it's almost 5 dosnt make sense when u make a appointment looks like plenty of workers just to busy talking then doing there job! I can say older bald headed man quickest one in there ! Highly recommend him poking you ! Then anybody else!!!
Horrible customer service. Staff members rude to donors and each other. Oh, and staff must have a new perfume they spray because a lot of staff members smell like marijuana, not the donors they try to blame it on. Porsha is the worst one calling out donors when it's her that has the strongest odor.
Very rude and unprofessional! The ladies that log u in, idk what her problem is but she keeps picking with me. Lied and said my levels are low!? I know for sure there not! The supervisor refused to restick me. This is the 2end time with the same lady!! No one else has turned me down. All because I didn't want her touching on me. Now she has a problem with me everytime I come in to donate but NO ONE IS HEARING ME!!!!!!!! This is unfair and idk if she is racist or what. Now everytime I go donate I have to mak
I haven't donated in about 2 weeks. I get there today and do everything I'm supposed to only to be turned away for some error. Also the lady in management was very smug about it. People depend on the little extra money to help them and some of workers are rude about it.
Very professional staff, God Bless America!
They make you have an appointment, but you wait 30 to 40 minutes past your appointment, but you better not be late because then you can't donate. It amazing how they don't care about you as a person.
I just want to say yhat the staff at this center is amazing .. always friendly .. always have a smile on their face and tge do your job well .,, Every single one of them ., I especially love mia snd portia ...and the management is just ss good .. they do their job well and yhey have always treated me fairly . These workers here ate like s second family and they do their job well ... Snd thst makes my experience here great !
I did rate this place higher but after the traumatic situation that happened to me I'm rating it low. The lady that poke me hurt me so bad I literally came up off my bed then 3other people was messing with the needle And it was torture like mutilation but told me If I didn't finish I couldn't get paid . So they are allowed to completely mutilate you , hurt you and you just have to lay there and take it so they can make there $ 1000.00s a bottle while we just get a couple dollars or no money for what we go t
To start today would have been my 2nd donation. On my first donation I was prompt with my scheduled appointment; actually 15 minutes early. After speaking To an intake person And doing the questions on the kiosk I was told to have a seat and wait for the nurse after an hour and a 1/2 approached the destiny why I hadn't been seen and watching So at this time everybody was very apologetic and expedited my process and I went on ahead to donate now coming to today I arrived early 1st person to even come in the
I've had nothing but professionalism from Freedom plasma. I've gotten to know a few workers and even knew a couple from another center. The place is clean and friendly. I highly recommend Freedom plasma over any other center I've been to in the past. Nurse Mia is cool and just love her and my two favorite phlebotomist Taylor and Porsche are awesome stickers. I will keep going here until I no longer can.
Went to donate and they couldn't get the blood out of my arm. Every time I've gone they have trouble getting my vein and hurt me. I'm left with bruises all over my arm and pain for several days. Then they give misinformation and don't want to do anything to rectify something that they caused. Very terrible place. They don't have anything up to inform of the ?convenience fee? as the lady told me on the phone and the blonde headed girl who sits in what I call the tower is very very rude. Will not ever be goin
I love how unhelpful those two reviews are.. Drink more water, don't be racist, and maybe pay attention to their posted hours? Anywho, I've had no issues the entire time I've been going that weren't my own fault. People are friendly here (mostly) and the staff are great.
Been told for 2 weeks now to wait till next Wednesday for doctor to review my file over bruised spots that where gone last time I was in. Not very consistent place. So don't let them mess up your arm.
Worst place by far I ever donated Will never come back.... I had to talk to her nurse. She told me I would go right back to the tables then five people went back so I went and ask when I was going back they told me you're next few more people go back. I go back up and tell them just take me off the list. Again tell me I'll be next couple more people go back. I just walked out 2 hours wasted
Hi, I just got back from my first donation of plasma ever. I was treated extremely well and Jeanne was very knowledgeable while getting my set up. I felt safe and in good care the whole time.
FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! If you become a new donor during a certain promotion you may or may not get the prices listed for new donors because they are SUBJECT TO CHANGE. EVEN IF YOU STARTED BEFORE THE NEW PRICES. You could be on your 7th donation and if the prices change in the middle of your first 8 they won't comp you for the promotion you were originally offered. Shabby business, poor work etiquette. This place is a scam! There's 4 other donation centers in this city, they are honest and don't try to cut cor
There's a gentleman there ( I believe he works in the back idk his name but he has long beautiful locs) ??Always moving fast working hard always in good spirit very polite and mannerable everytime I see him. Always has this wonderful smile on his face the makes the whole place shine shout out to that guy he seems like a wonderful employee. I wonder if he has a girl/wife. Lol ??
Each experience has been amazing. Jenny was sweet and helpful from day 1. Portia, codi and Taylor (vanna) are all incredible and very personable. Erika and Lou Lou are on the right path. Keep up the great work!!!
I'm a donor they're understaffed so bad sometimes they legally shouldn't be operating at those times some of the staff are very rude they forget to post your money after donations they stick you any type of way to many occurrences where the donation machine didn't give the donor Saline they honestly should be closed a lot of stuff they do in there wouldn't happen if corporate would patrol the business time to time because they are not in compliance. I'm donating now and it's a shii show I'll be calling corp
I haven't donated to save a life in like 15-20 years so I moved back to Toledo from Michigan and decided to go donate at this place because my sister went there a few times, so now I have no health issues that would prevent me from donating, the process was pretty quick being that I was a new client the staff member was nice so I finally get a doner chair to get hooked up to start the process while in the chair everything was okay until I get to the end of my donation of my blood being returned so all of a
Very in unprofessional waited over a hour to be taken back just to be told my 5 year old tattoos didn't match up to there system and that I'm deferred I drove 45 mins to get here for that
Because to get all pay schedule in writing. They ripped me. Only place in the entire city that only pays new donors for the first 2 ..then drops you to regular pay. Where is the incentive. They are liars and it's a fight to get them to honor referrals. Grifols didn't do this . Complete bait and switch.
Every single time I have been, I have had nothing but an positive experience. Feels Amazing to be able to help save lives, and actually be thanked for doing so. Never a bad Time/Experience.
This is probably the best paying plasma center for returning donors in the area, and the staff and phlebotomists are all good at their jobs. Only thing keeping me from rating 5 stars is that the public Wi-Fi is completely worthless.
There is a manager here at this location she is tall long blonde hair slim to medium weight size I don't know her name but she literally came out on the floor in front of everybody and was belittling criticizing and badgering one of the plasma donors very inappropriate and unprofessional
Staff do not change their gloves at all when working between patients. They got offended when was ask to change their gloves.
I have been donating here since they opened! All the staff is super friendly and the facilities stay clean! They have free Wi-Fi and have 2 TVs that have the volume up loud enough you can actually hear it and enjoy watching it while donating to make the time pass. I recommend this place to anyone!
I've only been at freedom plasma a few weeks and overall I've had a great experience especially with Mrs Mia the nurse, she's super friendly, very knowledgeable at her job, pays close attention when you talk, she's hilarious and makes the donor process a better experience, check out freedom plasma on Woodville and say hi to my favorite lady Mrs Mia
This is probably the wrose plasma center to go within toledo. You need an apt to even go in its take 2-3 days to get an apt and when youbhave apt you still sit and wait for an hr or 2 constantly packed no where to sit.
I love it here I have a question I referred two people I was awarded my bonus for my first referral whom donated twice but not the second person?
Horrible place.....my medical information was mishandled when I was told it's safe and private then when they finally found it after 3 weeks they didn't realize I was a new donor had me sitting 2 1/2 hours just to tell me it was too late to donate because I'm a new donor and need a physical
When you schedule an you still have to wait 3 hours until you get since unproductive if donate here don't make plans because they take forever ?? Good money horrible wait time even with appointments
Been coming here since they opened and all's you have to do is be prepared and friendly!! Alot of the staff is cool once you talk to them not to mention the pay is pretty good imo!! I'd recommend coming ??
The Yung Lady tht hook me up Saturday did really smooth with the needle very respectful kind and considerate cool sense of humor .
Too many rules and restrictions no Walk ins you need an appointment to donate a hassle if you have a busy work schedule poorly ran
This is a great place to donate plasma the staff is very nice knows what they are doing and they also make you feel comfortable about donating
They hang up and never answer the phone that k Harvey person rude to ppl on the phone and super hard to make a appointment won't be going here again
They are packed, and not taking walk ins. There's no sign or message that informs you of this. So I would recommend calling for an appointment, or being prepared to wait a week after walking in
They are all SUPER FRIENDLY AND VERY PATIENT WITH A CROWD ?????????? Super clean and VERY KIND STAFF ?Definitely make sure that your comfortable the whole process ????
All the employees are super nice and caring they treat you with respect and their gentle when your new
Freedom plasma is a pretty cool place for some easy cash, some of the staff pretty cool too like the nurse Mia shes nice and goes the extra to make sure your able to donate right check them out
This place is sad Why open up an be a failure
This is by far the most professional and most sanitary center I've been to.The staff is very friendly and welcoming.I would refer this center to any and everyone!
very clean nice staff i appreciate hope well organized it is ms ashley is the best?? upset they moved out my save a lot but i?ll manage lol
Done by appointment now but still full of a wide variety of people but the workers are friendly and makes a good environment
They dropped they pay $20 for regulars. $45-1st visit, $80-2nd visit.
The amount is to low we are the reason that you make you money if we didn't donate you would nor make you money put it back up
This place is so professional. I had to change this comment due to i accidentally commented on the wrong facility. This facility is rop notch. Its CSL that I would never go back to. Freedom plasma is amazing.
Geanie was wonderful! She was the most helpful nurse I've came across.
So you fixed donor prices to what they were but bam three weeks later you drop the donor pay that's real shifty we make your company millions by donating but you take away from those who make you a multi billion dollar company make this right or donors will leave !!!!!!!!!
Seems like there machines are messed up when they check you in I've heard multiple people leave and go somewhere else because of these discrepancies otherwise a good place to go
Is a good place they show concern but they need to pay more
!WARNING! This is no longer a Freedom Plasma location, Grifols now runs it. Not a good experience and left without donating.
They could not find a vein and then said I'm not aloud back! Very uncomfortable been donating for years how can you not find a vein 59 old maybe I'm white
Love this plasma center all the staff is super friendly and it's the highest paying center in Toledo
Don't donate here go to Csl plasma instead trust me.
Can I have the website to schedule my next appointment please and thanks wonderful staff
Whole building try?s to work around there employees but that makes it worst all they do it talk talk talk and never do their jobs ever
They are nice clean are people are nice and helpful
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
