Very unprofessional, management is unfair and shows favoritism. They talk about the donors and tells their business when it's supposed to be ?confidential?, the head trainer is unprofessional and she's messy, there is only one good manager and that's the male. The staff is rude, lack professionalism, they make every new staff uncomfortable and management does absolutely nothing about it. They don't care if you have children or not, they don't accommodate their staff, they write people up without actually fi
Ok this is a new update of my review went from a 5 star to a 2. I still do like the people I had my first visit the doctor, and the lady with the blonde hair in the front. I recently had my second visit and I felt good going in. I had someone insert the needle in me wayyyy too deep which caused the flow to go in and out. It hurt so bad to the point where I almost passed out thankfully I had two ladies come to fan me and put ice on me (thank you again!) now I wasn't upset with the girl who did it mistakes ha
I'm giving this place a 3 out of 5 because per every donation I did in the past, I used to get $100 per donation. That number has gone down since I'm a frequent donor. That's probably some executive CEO decision, understandable The problems I have is that I've had to sit through lots of administrative paperwork plus an extra physical. And on top of that, I've been waiting for 2 hours to be sat on a table, there's only two staff visible, and there are plenty of tables available. This isn't the fault of the s
I have been donating plasma for a year now and I think it's time to let the plasma Center know how well their employees are doing. Specifically, a staff member by the name of Jean. Her professional attitude and hard work does not go unnoticed. We as donors see how much she works and how she makes us donors feel comfortable and relaxed. You also have 2 other employees that are on that list, Shelly and Gwen. Give those three a raise, they definitely deserve it. Thanks for your hard work.
Don't water your time. You'll find out after wasting two hours that after your first two visits you'll only get 50 dollars. The website lies, and tells you that you'll receive 100 a donation. I missed out on two hours of work for nothing.
I used to come here about a year ago and i stopped coming because last time i went in the ?phlebotomist? just blindly jammed into my arm and blew my veins out leaving me with a nasty bruise for weeks. There was no flow, i told them there was a lot of pain at the injection site (which never happened previous visits) i was told it was my fault. The phleb. Pulled the needle half way out and just shoved it in another direction ?? a year later now, my bf went in and had the exact same experience except after 2 r
Overall, the general staff are wonderful. But, management on the other hand is a different story. I donated about 5 times until I passed out on the bed. The staff were very polite and comforting in this moment. Once I came to, I mentioned how weird it feels to not know what's going on when you're unconscious, which is where I mentioned that I had an endoscopy months prior. I was told they would call me back and update me on whether or not I was allowed to continue donating or not. After two months of leavin
Not worth the TWO wasted trips I made just to be told I have to wait before I was able. I went in yesterday and while checking my temperature it was over by .5 degrees of what they allow (not really thinking I was chewing big red) so my mistake. I felt fine yesterday and I feel fine today...I even checked my temperature yesterday afterwards and this morning before coming which was normal. I was told they couldn't retake it and could come back the next today. I go into just to be told by someone else that I
The phlebotomist Jean does an exceptional job for. She is very professional, courteous, always putting clients first. Give this wonderful lady a raise. She's a keeper. Most of the staff are, and help make it a pleasant experience. I would give this five stars, but they keep lowering the money for each donation over the months.
I am not sure where all these negative reviews are coming from, but I had an amazing experience here! I donated in the evening on Friday, 12/15/23. Everyone from the front desk to the person doing my physical to the people on the floor were kind and friendly. Your first appointment is going to be lengthy, but they get everything done at once so you don't have to come back multiple times, unless there is a problem. They made the process easy to understand and explained everything. The woman who did my proce
I have a 45 minute to 1 hour drive to get to this location. I always schedule my appointments in advance. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that I wasn't on the schedule and would not be allowed to donate. When I showed my confirmation email and the reminder email for my appointment, I was told that they overbooked and canceled my appointment without any attempt to notify me. Why on earth would you not notify someone? Why would you send a reminder instead of a notice of cancelation? Due to traffi
I've only donated twice so far but the staff is excellent. Wait time can be long depending on how many people are donating that day but all in all it has been a good experience with this center. Depending on my work schedule I can't wait to donate again, I love the fact that I'm helping others with possible life saving plasma. Something I love to do is helping others whenever I can and however I can...??????
Why make an appointment and still be over an hour behind? Like pay your people more so you can get enough staff to keep times or limit the appointment numbers ( but that's ruin your profit margins) over and hour after my appointment still waiting. Sitting in a chair girl setting up my machine gets called off then they mess around like no one is waiting?.. very frustrating
My friend Andy was denied for this bruise on his arm that they caused and they didn't measure it but it was supposed to be 2 x 2 and it was two spots And we're not and told that he couldn't come back for two weeks they told me Nicole that they don't have availability to take first time people
I would give this place 5 stars for service, but you lose stars for going cheap on your donors. You keep lowering your fees paid out your donors. Without donors, you don't have product, be nice and generous to them. Give bonus like other facilities do or give veterans and first responders their bonuses back, at least as veterans and first responders are the ones who understand how they're saving lives by donating
I'm a very understanding and empathetic person. I never thought I'd be donating plasma but the intrinsic factor and monetary factor makes it worthy nonetheless.- My name is Daphne. Today I was disrespected by many staff and made a spectacle by the floor manager, another bldg manager named Sabrina who was definitely not a problem, and a red head female with a nose piercing. The whole issue was over me allegedly picking up the phone when my machine was done and on green. Fyi the staff idols, jokes too much
Never had an issue always greeted by friendly staff. Gwen is the absolute best! I will only let her or Greg stick me! Both of these employees deserve to be recognized for the outstanding job they do
Place is extra clean as it should be, staff is funny and quirky but still efficient and productive so it makes it relaxing for me at least. Bring a sweater it's cold and you'll feel colder possibly in the process. I have no complaints except I wish you guys had an appointment system that had rewards with it and maybe show what you're paying on the visit online if we are loyal before driving down would be nice.I've been compensated well but it's a gamble and the phones get busy so it would be nice to know be
The receptionist is rude. Me and my partner went in together. And he couldn't donate so he was next to me as I was answering the questions. We misunderstood and didn't realize him being up there with me was against the rules. When we were informed we listened but the lady was rude and very loud about it. And two of the girls were gossiping and saying rude things loudly about us. I am completely understanding of the rules and had no intention of breaking them. And I'm not upset for being informed but I don't
Since this new transition it has been awful! Can't get appointment at all and those who can are waiting 3+ hours to be checked in. I wonder of the 1600 donors they had how many they have lost since this change! Go back to no appointment and first come first served!
I have bipolar, I asked a question that was wrong one time, I'm still getting back lashes over it. I answer the question on the kiosk the same way every time, I get flagged every time, I don't understand why, when this happens they have some assistants in the back review the reasons why then let you pass if checks out, today i sat and waited for over an hour, then I walked out. I come back and now I have to prove my address again, whatever.
Hi Cheryl kitchen go to freedom plasma and Williamsport. The people there are the best people ever. Couldn't ask for a better group of girls I can't wait for my two days a week to go I get relaxed and enjoy the awesome staff. Every single person that works there is awesome each and everyone of them should be recognized by corporate when asked for a better team
Shocked to see all the negative reviews. I come here frequently and haven't had a bad experience yet. Yes it does take longer some days, but you are being compensated for your time, and as most places are short staffed it is to be expected. Make sure to eat protein and come hydrated! The staff are always pleasant, and i've had great sticks with almost no pain. I can't complain. Keep up the great work! ??
This place is a joke. If you're a first time donor you can't make an appointment. I showed up on a Tuesday at 4:20pm only to be told I couldn't donate by the very rude receptionist. Then I was told I needed to call before coming. So I called on Thursday at 4pm only to be told I couldn't donate because they stopped accepting new donors at noon. The center is open Monday through Friday from 7am - 7pm. I truly don't understand what the issue is with new donors not being allowed to make an appointment but it's
The staff stands around chatting about their life. While there are 15 people waiting to get through the first stage. Slowest people ever. The ones that are working are so busy running around they don't even have time to breath. I hear there is another plasma center that is opening, I hope there process is faster. I have been going for a few months now and I know when I go it is gonna be at messy 3 hours. So I have to plan accordingly. These reviews are great but no one ever reaches out to you when they say
It was alright a year ago but now there's almost always only 1 phlebotomist on the floor and the queue to get seated if your not very lucky is almost an hour every day on top of the fact that the new hires are either really jumpy or have an attitude that should be left at the door. It used to be fine here but it's getting worse and I can understand why people are quitting. On another note if the site is short staffed why is it open 6 days a week when it was only 5 a few months ago? Doesn't really make any s
The secretary is rude and not the type of person I'd want to go through. They do not advertise for you to set Apts. They say walk in available and turn you away. I drove over an hour to donate and got turned away cause of this. They will call you to come back. No thank you. I will start to look for a place honest on their website to go to with less rude workers. Thanks for O- blood many will want it.
Where do I start! This place has no viable management I've been waiting went in in-person several times there is never a doctor on the premises this I know it's been well over a month no call backs no reply they don't even answer the phones now ! All this to try and help others out and they can't even get it right ?? the staff was nice but never followed up ! When will there be anyone there to take care of these issues ! When they first open it went well but lately it's been a nightmare !
I have been donating at the Williamsport center for about a yr now. From a former Manager of several large companies I can only say that this center is obviously poorly run. And I blame absentee managers who sit in the office and don't supervise the employees. The inability to retain staff is definitely a direct result in the fact that there is no supervision. Every time I donate I get more and more frustrated b/c of the quality of service and length of time needed to donate
July 14th 2023 No one has contacted me, I have waited patiently. I really hope another plasma center comes to give them some competition. "Their lack of professionalism is disturbing." Due to their lack of professionalism, commitment, and training, I was kicked out of their program. There was only 3 people who knew how to draw without bruising me and they all work during the day. I am not able to go during that time. They don't know how to draw blood without causing bruises or blowing out a vein. They refu
So I have lost a total of $200.00. I tried to book my appointment for a Saturday and they were all taken. That was $100.00.. then I went in today and said I was a day early.. $100.00 again. Why did the system let me make the appointment if it wasn't time. Disappointed
Nice staff but wait times are way too long. Appointment scheduling helped for a month or so, but they must be overbooking because it's still up to 2 hours wait even with appointments. Never enough employees.
Went well for a few visits, but after that, they couldn't keep phlebotomists on hand that wouldn't bruise or blow my veins out. Tired of being deferred during to their issues. The last time I went, the girl's hand was shaking trying to stick me. Sad, because this was helping me pay my bills. I have never had an issue with blood donation before I started coming here. I wish we had other options.
Horrible now. You must have an appointment. If you have a job, good luck scheduling it, I missed 2 of my donation days bc they were full, and the woman got an attitude, when I asked why I'm losing money bc ppl scheduled and didn't show, but I come every week and I can't donate bc imaginary ppl are in my spot. Hope another center opens here. I also waited longer than I ever did b4.
This is one of the worst donation centers ever. The second time here i waited for 45 mins after getting to the donation chair and one floor tech sticking 20 people. Who has several hours to spend every donation here cause of their lack of staff. Finally i got up and left. The next time i came back the computer wouldnt let me answer the questions. I waited in line as 6 people were in front of me. Once next in line i got called out of line to talk to management about my review i previously placed on this cent
Meh. They need too hire and KEEP people. The wait makes it not worth it anymore. Appointment based would be great if you didn't let all of Williamsport pick the same two appointment times! Smh. Hopefully they fix this broken system because it really is a shame on their part. You have the donors but not the employees!
I love your staff, however, the way the pay is set up, ($45 first visit of the week and $100 second) you have to go twice a week or it isn't really worth it. I can't always be sure I can make it twice a week and if there is a doubt i can't, then why bother. That amount doesn't make it worth driving down.
Horrible place, tried making an appointment since you apparently need one for a first time do or, and I can only make the appointment for times between 7-2pm. Not to mention they were full and said try again tomorrow, so tomorrow comes around and 10 minutes in after 7 and they said they're all booked again for the day, how can a place be all booked already after 10 minutes of being open. Again horrible experience and someone from management needs to check this place out instead of just commenting on reviews
Just about every girl on the floor is lazy and will ignore the machines so basically they disregard your own safety, if there is any possible chance while you're there try to request for clarissa, she's had never messed up a needle stick and can safely stick donors that have hard to find veins and will constantly make sure you are comfortable. If she decides to quit there won't be any good phlebotomist there. The last few times I've been there I've seen most of the girls be pretty mean to her, and some of t
Went through a bunch of testing to be able to donate just to be told I needed to see a doctor there's a whistle in my lungs and that they couldn't work with me. Saw my doctor and was given a completely clean bill of health and was reminded because the cartridge in my nose is bent (from it being broken) my nose naturally whistles when I breath. Long story short, don't trust their medical competence.
For the most part the people are nice. But holy hell the wait! Even with the ?appointment? system, it was more than an hour just to check in!!!! Need a better system. And toilet paper in the ladies room would actually be nice!
0 stars if I could at this point. Unprofessional rude manager front & reception staff. The phlebotomist are nice people but by the time you arrive you'll be starving and not well because whatever meal you ate before coming has now been long gone for hours. Not worth the donation they don't pay well anyway. I rather drive further and find a place with professionalism that knows how to run the place and isn't rude to their donors.
I was deferred for two weeks(my third time being deferred) because my temp was 99.9. I asked them to take it again since a temp that high usually means the person is sick. At least a runny nose for crying out loud. So on my way home I stopped by my mother?s, a retired nurse, and had her take my temp two different ways. They both read 97.8. How is it possible I was running a legit fever to not in 15 minutes? It isn't. Medically impossible I think is a good way to say it. But like I said they wouldn't take it
I just gave blood today (Aug 16th). When done I was bandaged and went use the restroom. While in there I noticed I was bleeding all over the place . I realized I was not properly bandaged and went to the front where the wonderful lady rushed and helped to get me properly bandaged. I would like to thank them for their work in helping me out. My jeans, shirts and show was either splattered and in the case of my shirt full sleeve soaked in blood. When told I'd be compensated for what happened I was given an Xt
They ask if you have suicidal ideation in the LAST 12 MONTHS and if you admit it, you'll be deferred until you have your doctor sign a paper for them. I literally came here today because I needed to pay my health insurance before they cancel me in 3 days. Do they think refusing me will make me less suicidal? I just drove an hour, using gas that I can't afford to be told that the worst three days of my life are are ruining this one too. Edit: no one ever contacted me to follow up EDIT #2: I RETURNED TODAY
It is one of the most poorly ran Medical related facilities. None of their technology communicates with each other. It's a shame because they have great staff.
Simply unacceptable operation they don't have the Compassion for they're profession. Maybe it's a compensation issue with employees. Employees are good at there job but have no hustle no spirit no commitment to the donors or the plasma that'll save someone's life. I've been donating since I was 18 this is my first donation company in Pennsylvania. There's not options for my zip code this is the only center I can use. They've made improvements but overall the donation process is not flowing. You get in yo
Usually not that bad of an experience but today I spent literally 5 hours here to make $85. I showed up at 10am waited hours to be seated and spent 1 hour and 56 minutes in the chair. Over all I probably could have made more money with weekend work at McDonald's.
Filled out the online form was told someone would contact me, never happened. It's a real shame you have people willing to give and you won't put forth the effort. With this being said if you can't handle the clerical portion of the business, how could I be comfortable letting you stick me with a needle. Push this business out of our community to leave room for a better one.
Went there to donate and supposedly had a fever of 100.0 got home a half hour later and used three different thermometers to have a normal temp. Funny how that works when you have a lobby full of people so you probably lie so you don't have to pay out so much money in a day because I sure wasnt shown my temperature results either!! Says on the papers a retake can be done after five mins but she shipped me out the door after the first one!!
After spending an entire morning drinking protein shakes and hydrating to make sure I was ready I went in just to get turned down after wasting almost an hour because I'm on bupenorphine for pain management so I'm labeled a junkie? The website says nothing (it's not on the banned medication list). Just a complete waste of time. When I asked why it wasn't on the website their response was because people would just lie about it. (The response from them is who they are (it's been a week and no one has contacte
And once again? I've donated at least 10 times and I can remember maybe once or twice where I was spoken to like a human being. Some of the workers are just rude, and they make it an unpleasant experience. On top of that, I go in when I can find the time.. they don't have any problem sitting you down for two hours while there's workers standing around talking or just acting like other peoples time is irrelevant. I don't think I'll be going back.
If i could give 0 stars, i most definitely would. My husband and I went together to give plasma yesterday. I was turned away because my hematocrit was too low. It was a 35. My husband's was a 37 and he should've been turned away also but they allowed him to give it. Well today, I went there again and mine was a 37 and I was turned away again. I called down after I left and I asked what the normal is and they said 38 to 54. Research on google states its 38.3 to 48.6 for a man and 35.5 to 44.9 for a woman. I
At first I had given this freedom plasma location a 1 star review - I had been a donor at the freedom plasma center in Lancaster and had wanted to transfer to the Williamsport center. One Thursday several weeks/months ago I had reached out to the Williamsport center to see what I needed to do to donate. To make a long story short - after several pointless trips to the center, multiple phone calls, assurances, reassurances, and the complete run around? I call in two days ago - speak to the director - receive
Don't recommend here . Went here and was told my initial test was positive for hep c . Freaked out I called my family doctor and had two blood drawls, all my testing came back negative along with all my testing I've had done in the past 6 years. They called me back a week later to tell me the confirmatory testing was negative and I didn't actually have the disease they accused me of having . Not only was I made to feel disgusting , this place banned me from ever donating plasma or blood to any place again!
My donations have gone so smoothly. The staff are very nice and answer any questions I may have. My kids talked me into doing this and I'm glad they did. If your thinking about donating go talk to the people there.
I just did my 5th donation was almost done and needle came out. I didnt get paid and it wasnt my fault they couldnt find a vein to use. Lady last time was rough and damaged my other arm when putting needle in. Cant go back till August ill have to start all over again ugh.
I wanted to give plasma but I had just given blood. 2 weeks prior to the day I was there. Which I was ok with not giving plasma but I had called up there a week before I went up and they said I would be ok to give plasma but I got up there and they told me I had to wait 56 days before I could give. I was ok with that but then why did u tell me on the phone week before to wait a week and then come up . Also Iasked at desk while I was checking in and they said I should he able to give it. Furthermore I was r
Of I could give no stars I would..most of the girls there are nice depending on the day u go.this is the second time I've been there..the first time was a.wasted trip..telling me I'm dehydrated when I wasnt..like they can see the inside of my body..my veins were fine..this time I go in and wait over an hour to see workers standing around when they have people that are new donors, including myself waiting just to do paperwork! Ridiculous
I went into this center about a year ago and the girl (naadiyah) that was checking me in doing my blood pressure n test was extremely rude an very unprofessional I was so disgusted with her .. I couldn't donate this day due to just have surgery after that I really didn't want to go back there but I did I decided to give it another chance and I am happy i did I haven't seen her there since I been coming back an the staff was super nice funny and made it very comfortable... I have been going at night the sta
Need to come up with better way to get people in and out waited 2 hrs to get my vitals checked then turned away for being 1 above for my hydration. Then come back and only get 45 not Kool! Oh forgot the lady's are awesome though. They know how to make ppl ??????????
I'd give it a 5 star review if the donation payout was $140 like it used to be and you'd still get the extra $10 for being a first responder
I went there to donate and the girl who checked my arm said she couldn't feel a vein in my one arm. Really!!! I get my blood drawn every six months with no problem. Other people have said the same thing. You need more experienced people.
Sorry but the tech who was drawing blood stuck the needle in and my vein exploded and my arm is all black and blue they dont seem ezperienced at all And when i asked another worker if i was okay cause my arm was tingling she was rude with the answer she gave me. They dont check on you they just stand around talking.
I'm not impressed at all .I waited for over an hour .New donor and went through the process then went to the nurse to be told I cannot donate because I have inhalers. For one I don't use them. Don't need them for two .Total waste of my time .I want to donate and I should be able to .What a waste of my time and fuel.Need to have a list of what would disqualify you from Donating.I would not have wasted my time or the workers time .
The staff are consistently polite, professional and courteous - and that goes for the screener's, technicians and nursing staff.... And, you not only provide life saving plasma to people who need it, they pay you for it... But, here's MY problem.. Everything in their operation is state of the art - from the screening to accessing what you earn at any ATM. Turn-key, efficient and hassle free .... until you fail a medical screen. If you fail a screen (red/swollen skin by needle insertion site, abnormal labs,
If zero stars were possible that's what they'd get, was fully discriminated against for where i live, by both a worker and a manager. Lawsuit pending.
They are now doing appointment only? had my appointment scheduled for 4:15 left at 6pm without donating, Freedom stop taking on new donors or make a day specifically for them and honor your appointment times at least relatively close
I have been twice so far, and have had a great experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and well trained, and for about an hour of your time and plasma, you get 50$. I am planning on becoming a long term donor, and am very happy to have this opportunity.
My first time being there and my last. I didn't even get the point of even going through donating. The girls had no clue what they were doing. Waste of time.
Overall good experience, however I was screwed out of my referral bonus and was told there wasn't anything that could be done about it. * 9/30/22 situation was resolved by paying out the referral bonus .. Management came through on this one!! Appreciate it guys??????
Today was the first time donating plasma and the staff was super nice. Had no problems with any of the people. I go back Thursday can't wait to see all the friendly people again.
Definitely recommend. I was there before, very wonderful people and a decent experience. I just wish that their PR team or whoever sends out messages would be a little more knowledgeable when you ask a question.
I'm glad they have changed things and I had to edit my review. Much smoother process, the scheduling gives you more piece of mind in that you know you have a spot.
No one to answer for anything. When asked who was in charge I was told that it was just phlebotimists and technicians. How can you run a donation center without an administrator? Who is in charge? The staff is poorly trained and misinformed about medical information that is available via cursor Google search.
Your workers just stand around playing when people are waiting to get poked like a big joke need to really look into yours staff huge disappointment
Back for my second day. First day was told to hydrate better... Now I'm sitting in the waiting area for over 45 minutes....I got here when they opened... No one has addresses the 6 ppl sitting here waiting....
celeste has been donating while ln antibiotics supposedly. if workers are reading this she has openly admitted to taking amoxicillin and then donating on top of any drug shes on
I went for my first time lastweek They warned me ahead of time The first appointment takes awhile. It was a wonderful experience The staff was amazing and I get to help others
I have not yet been able to do anything With this place. I've probably been half a dozen different times In the past year. Every time I go in they have some kind of issue or some kind of new policy where I can't donate because they need a letter or something. It is really getting to the point where I don't even want to try anymore. I don't think I'll be telling anybody to do it
I went In for my first time on Jan 5th 2022 as a first time donor yea the process too long being first time but staff was extremely friendly and helpful and told me everything I needed to know and what the process was and they told me step by step on how the machine works to get my plasma which I thought was cool and im going again today Jan 7th 2022 to donate again because I believe in helping lives and cures becuase my aunt died of cancer and I feel she is watching me from up above and proud of what I'm d
Wonderful group of people, very busy, it does take a while for your first time with the screening. But I will be a regular donor. Great experience.
The establishment ran like a well oiled machine from start to finish. Staff were friendly and professional.
I donate every Thursday and Saturday I highly recommend going to immunotek in Williamsport Pa all the ladies are so kind and professional and I absolutely love Amber Stacy and Courtney will definitely be going there for a very long time
The place is always cold, long waiting, and if you get one false positive test on something which was clearly from some employees incompetence your blood is tanted and you can never go back
Great center all the staff is friendly and welcoming!!
3 hours just to have blood pressure taken,AWFULL experience, AWFULL time management and NOT utilizing all stations, may be worse than DMV .
Very unprofessional and machines give false readings all the time was told this by the staff that works do better getter and that don't clean the equipment properly between donors which why they have so many people waiting 7 days -90 days for their next donation do better freedom
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
