If I could give no stars i would. This place will not allow you to donate if you live in an rv park, motel, or are homeless. You know the people who actually need the money? You are discriminating against a whole community. Living in an rv park does not make you "unstable" or a red flag. It makes you human who cannot afford ridiculous rent prices. Do better.
As a first time donor at this location I'd like to say everyone that works there does an outstanding job. ?? It is a clean and very friendly atmosphere from start to finish. I'd like to give a special thanks to Lori and Alec they went above and beyond in there service's.
Decent way to make extra money, however expect to wait 30 min+ past your appointment time to even be seen and another 1.5 hours for screening and donation, some of the techs are inexperienced and you will have your vein blown occasionally especially if you're overweight or have difficult veins.
This is NOT Freedom plasma anymore! They pay about half what Freedom paid donors, and no bonuses for new donors. Not to mention the fact that now they apparently only have 1 doctor, who can only bother to show up ONCE A WEEK for people that want to get into donating. Today I tried calling to see if the doctor was in. It took calling FOUR TIMES, and letting it ring until it sent me to voicemail to get anyone to bother to answer. And then the lady that answered hardly seemed to care. I know for certain there'
The center is very clean, and the staff are very friendly, but first why keep lowering the pay per donation? and second, I've been donating for years, and this is the third center I've tried, but the first one that operates by appointment. The wait time here is much longer compared to the centers that operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Usually, I wouldn't spend more than an hour and a half at a center, but here, even with an appointment, I end up waiting about an hour just for vitals?without even
It is easier to get a government ID to from the state that it is to donate plasma hear. And yet they wonder why people do not want to donate plasma or blood and why they're so low on it
Hello, I've been a regular at Freedom Plasma since it opened. I had no problem with this staff. Their friendly and very professional, Sam and the others past and present are amazing. The problem I having and been seeing recently is the constant lowering of the regulars donate money. I was fine when it was 50 to 125, then 50 to 100, then 45 to 100, and two months ago lowing it again to 45 and 95. Now you lower it again to 50 and 80. The regular that I talk to myself included are getting tired of these low ba
Great place and staff. However, they are very understaffed and long wait periods. Lots of sketchy people hangout outside, but that comes with the type of business. Added 8/7/24 I wish they would stop lowering the payout. It's truly not worth it to the donor to come in and spend the time it often takes to get seen. However, the biggest complaint now I see, is the amount of salesman you see outside this place. Before you get out the car they are there trying to sell or sign you up for something. I just want
I was denied the ability to donate plasma due to the fact I live in a travel trailer and get my mail at a different address. I was told to bring in a proof of address with mail so I did but because I mentioned I live in a travel trailer on the property the girl said I'm not allowed to donate.
The 2 stars was for the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. However, the communication is poor from staff to donor. 1) the first and subsequent donations have had a monetary error when loading new donor promos. This was a technical issue and staff were helpful and quick to fix each time. 2)There is a disconnect in communication. Today I was scheduled for my 6 th donation. I was turned away even though I had an appointment scheduled due to last weeks pattern of donation on a Tuesday and a Thursday.
Im a donor for 2 years and they made a recent pay change for 5 dollar less and the 125 to 100 for new donors, now just 100 flat for the first 6 times not bad. But now they changed it again making it 10 dollars less for frequent donors and that's 15 less a week and all that change in like 2 months. But for the new donor now they give 80 for the first 3 visits and for regular donor 50 for first and 80 for second and it was 45 and 100. The new companies are cheap. Sad how much it changed in 2 months. I hope th
Had bad experience with a women employee named aaron African descent on Thursday 08/30/2024...she was very rude and disrespectful over me wearing sunglasses just because they weren't prescribed. I told her if I would have said yes there prescribed am sure she would have never bother me or engaged. based on her bad attitude and rudeness telling me take them off because she couldn't see if I was going pass out, for while I was donating I was fully awake and interacted with her just fine. She made really big d
First this plasma center is now called Grifols. The staff is friendly and have fun with eacother which is good for the vibe of the place. I had a minor reaction during the process likely my own fault for not eating and drinking enough before I came ( follow their instructions) but as soon as I alerted them if my issue they all came together to help me and took the situation seriously and I do commend them for their quick actions and professionalism when the situation called for it.
ITS COOL TO GET POKED BY PROFESSIONALS. SO MUCH BETTER THAN OTHER PLASMA CENTERS I'VE EXPERIENCED
I went from a 45 minute commute to Lakeland bio life to a 35 minute commute to Winter Haven plasma. That's the good part. Here's the bad part. Why on earth am I giving you an e mail address if you don't send out group e mails stating a closure due to weather. That's unacceptable. !
I love the workers awesome however I gave 3 stars because I gave a three month blood sample several weeks ago. I have been trying all day to call to find out if my protein is good good so I can donate again every time I call I press 0 for operator it says the person not taking calls. Not good communication told doctor would call in a week from sample
Dear owners, Fix your website. You need a login page. Why has this company not added a login for current donors on the website? This is a basic feature. You have a login, just put a link to it on the website! The donation fees are also a concern. In your infinite wisdom you decided to replace the entire system at the same time. Fine. However, you must understand that wait times are getting longer and the payout fees are getting lower. I don't have time to sit around your understaffed office waiting. That is
I usually have pretty good experiences here. My only note is to make sure if you're giving someone a referral name to get $100 from you going, make sure they actually put in the info. My intaker put in who I assume was her boyfriend?s name so my buddy didn't get his money from me giving his name.
Bunch of kids working at this place that have no clue how to find a vein. They are rude and seem as if I was bothering them. I went to this place 3 different times and they still after several employees attempts couldn't find a vein. I also drank a gallon of water the day before. They need REAL medical staff instead of fresh students. The pay dropped significantly also. Check how much they offer before showing up. This place used to be freedom plasma and now it's grifols and from what other reviews say I?
Update: Once you get through all the craziness of figuring out how to get that initial appointment the facility is great. I have been going for about 4 months now. The staff are all very friendly and professional. You make an appointment for appointments after the initial one so it goes much smoother. Be patient and get through it if you are interested in donating plasma they are great! Original 1 star: I wish I could even give a review on how the facility is but you can't even get past the starting proces
This rating has nothing to do with th employees at all they do the best they can given the pressures of a richer company buying them out wich turned out to be a major disaster for employees and doners alike first thing is they everything including doners pay rates with zero reason or justification numbers don't lie everyone knows that everything in the economy went up in price and at thi stuff being sold at upwards of 4k per bottle the rate at wich they sell this stuff also will go up but this company exper
Have tried calling back to back for days. No one answers to set up new patient appointment at the Winter Haven Fl location. Last time I made an appointment on the website, like the automated system tells you to, then I found child care and drove up there to be told that doesn't work for new patients. How do I make a new patient appointment? Anyone know if they have a phone number that's different?
The wait is a little longer than other sites but it makes up for that with awesome staff! They are friendly and professional. They always make sure the experience is a good one. Their rates are above others. Destiny is the sweetest and great at sticks. Always a smile on her face! Overall great experience.
Both my husband and I have been donating here twice a week for months now and we love the staff. The wait times are not any worse than the places in Orlando we donated at and with the new hours and now more staff things have gotten even faster. They are clean and kind and work hard at taking care of everyone they can the best they can.
I came in as a new donor. I wore pants that were tight against my skin to the visit. Therefore, during the medical screening, they offered me a pair of pants that were drawstring. So I put them on so they could check my legs, etc. When complete I changed back. As soon as I did, a girl walked in and said ?I need the pants.? I looked at the guy and Asked if they wash them in between people and he said no, they all use the same pair of pants. I was jaw dropped! How disgusting is that? I told them I thought th
I've been donating for some time now and I will only request Kindle! Her sticks never hurt and she knows how to juggle her job duties really well. I always enjoy my donations with Kindle there!
Facility is super clean. I was really surprised. But the best part are the employees. From start to finish everyone was super friendly and helpful! Amy was so sweet to me and was genuinely caring due to it being my first time donating (I was super scared ) Nancy who did my physical (The doctor) who was also very pleasant . Please make sure to eat and drink Lots of water prior to donating , my first experience I ended up almost passing out , Very frightening experience, but staff was there to comfort me bac
Went to donate plasma as a returning donor that hasn't donated in a while. They said I have to make an appointment. -Downloaded the app and this location did not even pop up in zip code search. -Called for a receptionist and no one ever picked up -Went to their website to see if I could make an appointment there and the winter haven location doesn't appear. 2/10 please don't come here
If I could give this location zero stars I would. The problem with this location is they feel like ALL of the people that go here are desperate and in dyer need of their $50 or $80 donor fee. What they fail to realize is some people donate for the cause and to help individuals with life saving illnesses, then you take a bottle of 800ml of plasma and go sell it for over $2,000. For the past 3 weeks donors were being told that the establishment was being sold to Grifols. Upon coming to various appointments I
I completed the contact form and received an email to walk in for the 1st appointment. I tried calling several times to verify this and no answer. I also left a message. I drove 30 minutes to be told I need an appointment. I went back for my appointment and was told my hormone patch couldn't be found in their system so I needed a doctors note to donate. Also no toilet paper in the bathroom and no doors on the outside of the bathrooms. I asked why and was told to prevent risky behavior.
I love all of the staff here! Everyone is super sweet and they always greet me with a smile! Kindle is a doll and a great phlebotomist! Shyanna is super sweet too!
Worst Experience Ever!.. I've Never Been More Disrespected trying to help someone in my life. The whole staff sucks. They messed up my appointment and throw like 20 ppl ahead of me. Then try to trash talk some guys mother. This place should be shut down or replace everyone who works there. I'd rather stand in line at BioLife then feel like I'm in some retarded communist vampire outpost.
I love the staff that screen me and do my donations But I have to say every single time I'm there the manager of the facility I believe her name is Lydia walks around with a very snooty attitude and talks down in a very very demeaning manor to her wonderful staff. She is the only thing I hate about going there she is absolute horrid to her staff she interrupts them and speaks to them in an unacceptable extremely rude snooty and demeaning way in front of clients. I don't know who made her the boss of the win
I have been a return donor at Freedom for about a year and the energetic staff and atmosphere make it a highlight of my week. The management, phlebotomists, and medical team are all great people and some have become more friends to me than professional acquaintances. The downfall of Freedom Plasma is the change in corporate management to Grifols. The steady pay decreases are of great detriment to many donors, including myself. Since the beginning of this year, the total amount of compensation has decreased
I have been coming to freedom plasma for about 4 months and these are the nicest people. The managers, the intake the whole damn staff . I have a wonderfully pleasant time every time I come. One day I was having a really bad day and Destiny made me smile feel so much better her smile her attitude and pleasant personality. They are all ways smiling and I love that. They are a true blessing to me. May God continue to bless the place and the staff.????????
Love everyone here, especially Kindle. I always ask if she can stick me. She is very professional and makes it as painless as possible!
Every time I come I get MrBTaylor and Sheena! Every time they both make sure I'm comfortable and ok. It's always laughs and giggles! They are two of your greatest employees. KEEP THEM!
People there are great but they need to learn to work more instead of so much talking. Not talking to the customer talking between themselves. There are times that all booths are open and they are talking amongst each other about nothing pertaining to the job. Should not have to wait as long as we do. The head staff that is standing around should jump in and help clear the waiting area. There have been times the people in the back are waiting for customer to start customer donation and have had beds time ou
They don't have a sign or anything on their website saying they're not accepting new donors, but they're not. I had to drive all the way to the center and wait in line just to be told that I wasted my time because "we're in the process of merging with a different company."
Love Freedom Plasma in Nacogdoches, TX! This location is full of such friendly and professional people. Although everyone does an excellent job, I must say Spence goes above and beyond to ensure a painless experience and worry free environment.
I have enjoyed donating at Freedom the staff is great they seem to get to know you by name and are always really nice I get to help people who need plasma and they give you really good pay for your time so it is a win win situation I think that if you have the time to get out to donate you will be saving lives and getting rewarded if you need detail just ask
This place is so amazing. I donated for the first time today. I was really nervous and did not know what to expect. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The told me everything that was going to happen and what I should expect. The made this experience a really good one. I will definitely be going back.
The RN Daniel at Freedom is awesome and very personable. He was able to not only subside my anxieties but provide me with much needed information. Thanks to him another person will be helped.
I don't recommend this place at all. They took my card and social security, treating me as undocumented, they asked me several times for my birth certificate, when I told them that it was racism that I was born in PR (when we are born we are automatically citizens) that I had been there for 40 years and I have never had my social security They calmed down and told me that unfortunately they couldn't help me. I hope they take action and check the cameras. No se preocupen en llamar nunca contestan
Drove 45 minutes on Monday with my husband and kids just to make my appointment. Had my first time donor appointment this morning at 8:30 am was there until well after 1 pm just to be told I need a doctor's note of approval because of ear surgeries I had over 20 years ago. When I asked to see where it was stated in the guidelines and policies they refused to physically show me. Now I have to wait over 2 weeks just to have my doctor sign a paper, drive 45 minutes back to the donation center drop off the pape
Due to a misunderstanding I am no longer allowed to donate at freedom plasma. Because I use a medicated shampoo for dermatitis. It does not make sense to me but ok. I have been donating there for almost a year now without a problem and have been using the shampoo the whole time. They want my dermatologist sign a note stating that this medication does not affect the plasma. This type of pharmacology is not her field of expertise. To ask her to put her name on something she knows nothing about is unreasonable
Typical Polk county business that doesn't even want to answer their phone to allow people to change their appointments. Stops caring about doners after 5 pm because they care more about getting out of there and forget about Saturdays, they just don't care. Too many bodies. That sounds nice and all but I've had three people "deferred" because they just do not care after 5. They are sloppy and careless about putting a 17 gauge needle in.
Way understaffed or whoever runs the place needs more training. I have been there seven times and the only times I can get seen with an appointment is at 7:00 in the morning. Any other appointment time you make means nothing. I had an appointment today at 9:00 a.m. and at 10:20 I was still sitting there. Just canceled and left. It's the second time in 2 weeks I've had to leave with a scheduled appointment. I would think that requiring appointments to come in would relieve some congestion. Might as well just
Kindle is very professional and works hard and always sticks the first time never has to stick multiple times.very good bedside manner and all around awesome person.
Great place but some of the people here are on some power trips. I didn't like something and the girl said ? no one force you to come here!? They need competition bad. I don't blame them though. When dealing with poor people, you can do whatever you want. ??????
David Spence helped me the last two times I came in and has been such a huge help, always nice and makes sure I'm comfortable. 10/10 would recommend ????
I've had horrible service between their email team never emailing me back on something. The center has now turned into a hangout base outside of the entrance. They're not quick at all with new people. I got the runaround because I have piercings and it didn't matter if they were 10+ years old. The intake person didn't believe me that I had no tattoos and made me feel like I had to show them everywhere to prove this. Obviously I didn't but that's how I felt after being here. I'm starting to think it'd be wor
I am very pleased with Freedom Plasma. Freedom is a better donation center than Biolife or CSL In terms of wait time, safety and sanitation. Very quick process comparatively. Fun employees who know what they're doing. Except Lee. She sucks. But the rest of the staff is very personable and professional. The money is right and you're helping those less fortunate live their lives.
Had some blood results come back with low protein so I had to give another sample 3 weeks ago they said wait a week then call and check for results well they came In Last week but the doctor was not there so. I had to wait another week called multiple times a day for the past 2 days and no one picks up I know they have time since I've seen them all just stand around and chit chat many times very Unprofessional behavior
Worst experience EVER @ this location. I used to donate @ immunotek in Bedford TX so when I recently moved to Florida I was so happy to see this center. That's until I got to the medical screening by not an RN mind you who wanted me to get a doctor to sign off on a surgery I had over 20 yrs ago??? Not to mention he was way too personal on info he said he needed?I believe he's a good reason there are HIPPA laws???????????????
The best employees hands down! Tish and Janett are always a delight to speak to while being screened. The medical personal, Donovan, Mary, & Chris are phenomenal! Phlebs are by far the best in the business! Erin & Ash are rockstars! Let's not forget the management team is top notch, Natalia is friendly and always upbeat. The few workers behind the glass also deserve a mention. They always seem to be working hard.
I received amazing service going in as my first time they made sure I was good to go and even started conversation. Destiny was amazing. She sat there and talked to me made sure I had what I needed.
Every employee there is real nice even the employees that's up at the front desk they do an amazing job an saving lives while doing it I'm so glad I have the opportunity to save other people lives I'll keep coming back 100% satisfied
Trying to donate here as a new donor is difficult and frustrating. I called for information 2 days ago and they told me that they stop taking new donors 2 hours before closing. I can in yesterday 2 3/4 hours before close and was turned away. They said ?they stopped taking new donors 3 hours before closing. Today I got in. I was here 4 hours before closing but the lady who walked in 20 minutes after me was turned away. So they don't really have a true cutoff time. You may get in. You may not. The lady that w
I know someone who has been coming in there for months now well they had an appointment at 4:30 here it is 6:06 and they just text me saying they are still sitting waiting on to been seen!!!!!!!!! That's B.S.!!!!! What's the point of having an appointment if your not going to be seen on time! They should have it where to many people can't set appointments at the same time! Plus they need to come back with the 100 per visit not 45 and 100!!!!!!! That's why I stopped going!!!! 45 dollars ain't worth sitting i
I have been going to Freedom Plasma for a little while now. The staff is always polite. Sam, Ashley, and Devon are phenomenal at there job. They all have great customer service skills and know what they are doing.
Clean, bright facility. Friendly, professional staff. Got stuck by Spence and hardly felt anything. Highly recommended.
This is my third time giving plasma. The initial process took about 4 hours the first day. I came on a Saturday and the day before Thanksgiving for the other two visits and they are likely busier on these days for that reason. My third visit I was checked in by Destiny. She was professional, polite and quick with the check-in process.
Kindle is so sweet and the best phlebotomist!! Definitely ask for her, never hurts when she sticks you!!!
Very pleased with every experience coming here. The staff are very friendly and do a great job. The center is always clean and quiet, couldn't ask for a better donation center.
Completely unprofessional. I got deferred because of a lab techs mistakes during the screening process and I talked to two different leads trying to get some type of form to report this incident and I got nothing but excuses untill I walked out
The Worst Place to Go to Donate, Racism and discrimination for Latinos, I am a healthy person, without allergies or diseases! They made me go to the primary doctor 2 times with an absurd form to certify that I could donate and even so they did not accept it! I wasted my time in money from exams and consultations! And still I couldn't donate! that is not done! They are inept and ridiculous!
I'm alluded by the slowness and unorganized operation I waited hour and a half to be seen and it's embarrassing to have to wait this long ...I will be talking to management or may just go back to previous place they way more efficient The work ethic horizon
There so raciest here they only black people if your white you get asked to leave and if don't own a house or a brand new car you can't donate with them do not go here
My wife and I drove from Avon park and they Scrutinized me way too much look I donate at csl.octapharma.biolife.bpl.and non of them cared that I had Jr on my license but not on my social security card.and I had a lease agreement But they wanted mail we just moved to Avon park and didn't have any yet I explained that we are disabled were out of gas and cash for food . you think they would have said okay you can donate this time but you have to bring this back to be able to donate again but no no compassion o
The gentleman with the salt and pepper hair that did my physical was extremely rude. Overall they were very fast with my donation and very kind for the most part the only downside was his disgusting attitude, it was very upsetting.
Great experience. Staff are always great ( Kindle). Easy process and good side hustle ??????
Not The Smartest Place ???? The First Time I Went There? Both My Arms Was Done And I See Everyone Else With One Done . Also It Left Both My Arms With Bruising, So I Come Back The Second Time And Didn't Think Of My Left Arm Being Done So When That Was Done My Arm Ended Up Hurting Worse . I Can Barely Push Anything Today. The Black Chick That Looks Old Didn't Seem To Do Any Good And She Looked Nervous And Confused ?? Tina Was Supportive ?? Devon Was Around ? And Light Skin Spanish Looking Chick That Had Burgu
Mr. Wesley and his staff have been and always will be the best at what they do. Absolutely amazing
They have great staff they are all nice an walked me through the procedure how they do it very very nice people I'll be back again an keep coming back Amy an Ashley was helpful every one there is nice
I found out now they decided to decrease not only the amount the new donors get, but also the amount the returning donors get. I get more on average from donating than I would if I worked that same amount of time, but the amount the company gets from selling the plasma is basically like giving the donors chump change.
Very friendly and helpful staff. No problems at all. Sometimes a long line, but moves fairly quickly. Wish they closed a little later some days.
Kindle has always been good to me when I come that's why I always request her when I come
Kindle was great would like it if she could attend to me every time I come in
IF YOU HAVE METAL IN YOUR BODY AND CANNOT GET TO A DOCTOR TO GET THEM A NOTE, DON'T BOTHER GOING, THEY WILL TURN YOU AWAY AFTER WASTING YOUR TIME. Nowhere on their site does it say that I am ineligible without a doctors note for metal in my leg. No questions on the kiosk or prescreening asked about metal in my body at all. Only after spending an hour driving 26.8 Miles ONE WAY to their nearest location and wasting HOURS very patiently and happily to be a donor was I made aware that I was to have a doctors
All I can say is wow. I felt compelled to write a review after reading all the terrible comments. How ungrateful and disheartening. It is no one?s fault but your own if you do not have gas or food. It's incredibly sad and I do feel bad, however plasma donation facilities have a job to do. Screen applicants to ensure they are getting quality plasma is their job. If you don't meet the qualifications then thank them for THEIR time for doing their job the way they are required by law. Most all of the poor rev
I love the way the staff is there so nice and helpful but however I don't like how we get paid so $145 a week can y'all raise the price y'all give us for our plasma we donate y'all make $23,000 from every person that donates plasma can y'all please raise y'all's prices
I was nervous at first but that changed once I started to talk to the staff after that it wasn't bad at all even when they stuck a slurpee straw in my own I highly recommend everyone take out and donate your aren't just saving lifes your getting paid doing it
Honestly the staff is nice they work hard from what I can see I have no complaints when they stick me with the needle it's not rough or damaging and they are very attentive when it comes to making sure the process goes by smoothly the lady that stuck me today was very focused made sure I was comfortable and in no pain her name is Amy I'm usually attended by Joseline and I highly recommend her she has a gentle touch and friendly
Condescending and sarcastic staff. Lots of ?fake nice" vibes here. Avoid.
Horrible HORRIBLE service! They do not cater to their new donors like every other plasma donation place. They do not get in ANY kind of hurry. They sat there talking and messing around with each other while we were all in line. Seems like none of the employees care or take their job seriously! It was an awful experience. Most plasma places take about 3 hours for new donors. My first time took 5 hours!! I was the 5th person in line and arrive me 30 mins before they opened. Save your time and go some
They are patient, kind and welcoming as soon as you walk in until the time you leave. A great team of professionalism in Nac?? Thank Y?ALL!!
Staff members are professional and they always perform a great venipuncture, most of all they make donating enjoyable and have great customer service! Keep up the good work
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
