I have been to almost all the other donation facilities and this by far is the best on the south side. They are fast and efficient whenever I come for my scheduled appointment. I've been coming for nearly two months now and every time they improve their process and get me in and out faster. The staff is incredibly professional. They always have security there, and I feel as if they all take pride in what they do. I'm honestly surprised to see so many compliments. I assume it's because they don't understan
I'm 69 y/o. I'm very disappointed that no one there checked to see if I made it home on the bus after losing all that blood on my clothes and shoes, and on the floor from the draw area to the restroom back to draw area. I was bleeding undetected when I doned my jacket at chair. That meant the second I bent my arm, most likely the bleeding began I detected the blood running down my arm while I was at toilet! I won't be back. I should have walked out like I did before when I saw a young and inexperienced fac
Unorganized, unprofessional, and understaffed. While some of the staff can be nice and are doing the best to work with the situation at hand, it's just not sustainable given the depleted workforce and heavy workload. Wait times are outrageous and yet there is no system in place to deny new appointments being set in order to manage the workflows and make wait times reasonable for donors. As soon as I called this out to management I was suddenly differed and now I'm being given the runaround by the site manag
These people don't like to unhook you from the machine when you tell them it hurts, They try to get too much blood from you causing your arms to bruise severely, they are supposed to pay according to your weight, if I'm over 200lbs they are suppose to pay more than $55 dollars. So yes they underpay, They are very ghetto, easy for them to lie on you and defer you for a lie the staff told.
I will not be returning to this location, very unprofessional, it was a fairly quick process but the staff was saying inappropriate comments (?it smells like chest hair?) and kept repeating it, that was very unnecessary and I had to leave, I definitely did not feel comfortable.
Quick and easy for most be intentional and on time great staff here very important and most of all informs all patients risk etc.they do their job security and all????
I been going to Grifols Biomat on 95th for about a year.NO PROBLEMS Soooo now I was told do I agree to give extra samples of blood for other tests. I asked was it mandatory and or was we getting paid for it. No, for both questions was they answer. Now since than, I have been deferred from the center and this is my forth blood donation I have to give up. These people are such a joke.?? THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU GO THERE, Do your Research
This is a very great plasma donation center to contribute to donating having a impact to save lives. I would highly recommend any individual to come to this location to donate plasma to help save innocent lives in need.
Calvin and Natalie are two of the best pokers they have. If you come in and act like a normal person they are super professional with you. If you get out of line with them, they are human like anyone else.. I definitely don't mind coming here. Pro: friendly crew, armed security Con: staff shortage so it can be a bit of a wait sometimes
They move very slow, we all have been waiting 45 mins now and still haven't gotten place in the chairs to donate it's a lot of talking and standing amongst the employees
Unorganized and will leave you bloody and bruised with rude customer service
I recently started donating at grifols and I just love them so much. I used to donate at other places like CSL and Octapharma but the staff were generally rude and it would take hours to donate. At grifols I'm in and out in about an hour from start to finish. Also the staff are very polite and professional. The manager is always readily available if I have any questions. Not so at the other places. My overall experience at grifols has been very pleasant. Thank you grifols team for your positivity and for
I've been donating at this site for well over a year. I can honestly say that my overall experience has been a great one! The staff is very knowledgeable and confident in their skill, which makes the donor feel confident and secure about donating! Keep up the Good work!
Best staff great attitude, very professional
There's never enough workers on the floor , it's always over back up and soon you ask is they hiring they say they not hiring yall really need some help this the slowest donor place and your workers talk to much my appointment was at 9 here it is 10:22 still not in a chair
The Service is Low Class , plus they give new donors a hard time. While they allow Drunks & addicts to act as they please and even encourage & applauded them!
The lady's and man at the center is off the chain. They come to work to work with a smile they are happy to br there and you can feel that. Its so enjoyable to come in the center and be greated with all that. Because you just dont know what we go thou at home before we get there. For some of us its our only outlet. Coming to get that money. From the beginning to the end some of us are glad to come. And the team work is just allsome everyone work together as a team. The stick is not as bad as it use to be. I
Myles is an absolute gem! Very professional, honest, great personality.. Hes the reason my rating is so high. HOWEVER, If the way the front security guard with the white beard is any indication of how you'll be spoken to here, then its no surprise the ratings have dropped in the last couple years. He's got that high school principal vibe in a PLASMA place, speaking down to people who asked the employee behind the desk a question. Following up his answer with "is that crystal clear?" Excuse me? Did your old
Very professional, very polite it's a shame I can't go there because I moved. However, times can vary, sometimes busy sometimes not. When it's busy I've been there 3 hours before, but people are cool, playing music and the atmosphere is loving.
They have a few kinks to work out before they get the fifth star, however the overall customer experience is a good one. Some of the clients an be very rude and over-the-top which is why off-duty police are security. The staff is caring and responsive and always straight forward.
Went in on my regular day did everything that was right. Was able to go to the back room, but was told that system said I had went somewhere else which I had not. This is the only place I go to for donation. The manager said the she would try to fix. Called this morning and was deferred for a week because it says I went somewhere else. It's human who put the information in but they're blaming the computer. I will not be going back to them. My feeling is I'm not from the area and someone had it out for me
Extremely rude and disrespectful. Stopped in at the location on 87th/Kedzie for new donor information. It was too much of an inconvenience to even tell me what the compensation rate was, telling me, "Just come in for your first donation and we'll tell you then." Really? Got snapped at by a woman who was super snotty, and she refused to even identify herself, saying, "You don't need to know my name!", then she tried to talk over me when I chose to speak the other person at the counter, Luis, who was nice and
This place is amazing. I enjoy the workers over all. They are very friendly and welcoming. Shay is one of the employees here n she dose an outstanding good job. Very proud of her. Lets make her employee of the month....
They are so unprofessional. The female workers are so ratchet n ghetto, always flirting with each other and the men that come in there. They so loud and childish. The females act like some h*** and need to start acting more professional and stop talking to other ppl men's.
I come here regularly and they never seem to have order. The process is always long whether your an old donor or a new one. Staff members always seem to have an attitude and the time they communicate in your world think you were their child.
This place is awful. The process is very slow and this place does a poor job of explaining their information. The process is slow because the workers spend too much time talking to each other instead of paying attention to their clients. If one has Aids HIV, high blood pressure, Cancer, Diabetes, Hepatitis, locked up in jail, or any other diseases do not waste your time coming here. Half of the workers are cool and the other half are mean. In my own opinion your nothing but a lab rat to these people and th
The staff are nice people. One of the employees, Jasmine is always very professional, courtesy and I notice how she establishes great rapport with each donor that she screens. When I go to donate I always hope to be screen by Jasmine. Keep up the great work ! I am acquainting myself with the names of all the staff that work in the front area as well in the back. Velvet is another wonderful person.Today I met a new employee, Chiketa( I believe I misspelled her name, sorry),nice personality. 3/24/21. ,
If I could rate it 0 I would. Had a 1:15 appointment. They checked me in and was moved to the back waiting area. Everyone that was there at the same time as me were called. Then people walking in after me called. I sat there as about 15 people who walked way after me were called. Made eye contact with the nurse at least 3 times. She not once asked if I needed help or try to notice that I've been waliting more than 1hour. Finally got up and left cause I figured that my donations aren't as important as I thou
Let me just say Linda is a shining star at Grifols. She is patient, funny and professional. I came in and had a issue and she quickly resolved it. She did not complain or anything just smiled the entire time and made sure my exsprience was great. The only reason I am giving a 4 star and not a 5 is because they need to start answering phone calls more often and they need to find a better way to schedule appointments. Other then that this place is clean with a welcoming staff that works very hard.
Unprofessional, very slow need a new system.. you walk in sign in wait 60min then they call you to the kiosk then you wait ANOTHER 60min then they call you for vital then you wait another 30min They all have a attitude as if they don't want to be at work this was only my second time coming , and it's only 9:30am meinh they opened at 7am and are already overwhelmed with there jobs.. not fair to the community who comes in and help them make a difference. This location needs to be looked at by HR OR someone h
The staff, everyone from the Management to the security staff are professional, but not only that, they are very warm and courteous. I appreciate the way they run the place! Salute!
Plan on 3 to 4 hours every visit the actual plasma takes about 30 to 45 min Theres a very short woman there with blue hair seems to be a receptionist terrible manners and from the get-go she is being very rude and being ghetto its like omg do i really have to waste energy turning up on you. And another lady there some type of Manger trainee it seems like sees me sign in and walk up to the kiosk and just sends me home I wanted to jump over the counter i was enraged i needed those 45 dollars but i have self c
I was humiliated by this facility. I went in as a new donor and was told that I had an odor I didn't! I spoke to the manager at this point I had a 2nd person smelling my armpits & chest I didn't smell. If I had an odor you wouldn't have to do all that to try to figure it out you would just be able to smell me. I'm Hispanic I feel discriminated against! It's a shame I can't even donate blood in peace.
I enjoy the service & the employees are very helpful. I hope u guys continue being great & staying blessed cuz u make me feel welcomed everytime.
95 st plasma center staff are all ROCK STARS absolutely amazing folks! From the min you walk in, you are greeted with smiles under the mask and from the time u check in and to donation bed it's smooth transition even upon leaving center. Dnt know why they so happy at work, they must like it there. You are in good hands; you can feel the mood in the room set and the music helps them focus making you feel relax and want to return for sure.
I have been coming here for years and I have never had a problem with being paid or with people having an attitude . Mainly you should pay close attention to directions and listen out for your name which will be called thru out your donation process . You should bring your headphones if you need to use or listen to your phone and other then that your visit should be as all my visits have been ,smooth sailing , why I am making an appointment now and remember to smile it's contagious ....GKJ
Has to be the worst place I've been to donate. The process took forever, although the staff was very nice. the place is being ran very poorly, overstaffed but it seems no one is in charge.. went in for my first stick which is already a drag, waiting for the needle to hit ur vain.. the lobotomist missed my vain then had someone else remove the needle and restick me which has never happened before. Ive donated more then once so I know the process, the staff is poorly trained..went in for my second and third t
Terrible! Close it! I wrote a review before about them. I was waiting for a thousand hours, just to be turned around. I am so glad I make good bread now. Cause honey. Don't do it, if you are new to them.
This place is not going to be here for long. They keep going up on their new donor pay to try and get more people to come because the people who go there usually never come back. The staff is very disrespectful towards donors especially new donors. The only way they are going to last is if they fire ALL of the females who work there EVERY last one of them are unprofessional. Plus they have like 4 armed security guards like its a damn bank! The reason for this is because of how disrespectful the staff is to
No one answers the phone here, so many people suffering that need blood/plasma & individuals like myself & my friends set days aside to donate in hopes to help others. This is very bad for your business! Get people that truly care about what they do & why & I promise you - your ratings will go up! I feed the homeless, mentor troubled kids, provide for needy families etc. & there's no way I'll have anybody stand behind me that don't have the same vision or dedication as myself! I'm praying that this business
Honestly I thought I'd have an issue and I didn't. I came here a few years after visiting there sister donor site on 87th and this place was so much smoother faster and helpful than 87th. I can't lie it's clean quiet they friendly staff and and Quick. Returning donors are out in under 2 hours and new donor it took me 4 hour compare to ALL DAY at there sister site.
I was told today the reason we have to stand after we sign in is because the center manager wants us to. People with canes have been standing for at least 45min to donate. I left w/out donating after standing for an hr my self
Really cool place to donate. The staff members are awesome ?? I always have a good experience every time I walk in. The process is a super fast experience if you're new :) and the employees work really hard to make sure you get in and out. Thank you Biomat ??.
This place is so freaking unprofessional rude to the people who donated I've seen ppl almost get into fights due to them being rude. Yesterday the pay system was down ppl kept donating I had to wait until the next day. To get paid just to not be paid F this place.
Had new donor appointment at 9:30 am didn't get in line on donor floor til 12pm then once I'm on donor floor there is 10 people waiting ahead of me no seats to even sit in Understaffed over crowded horrible place horrible experience I walked out an cancelled donation
Great Staff The team was professional, efficient, and exceeded my expectations and Always Make Me Vary comfortable I highly recommend them.
This place is a joke I am a New donor just moved back home from Iowa and because my piece of mail didn't have a date they denied me and now I have to walk home living 30 minutes away driving no money no car because I couldn't donate ??.
dont go here. its other plasma places that are way better. almost all the female staff come to flirt or find a boyfriend instead of doing their jobs. only a few techs are actually good with sticking, and the others are gonna leave you with big bruises or steady having to get restuck or adjusted. no name tags to properly address anybody. the screening isnt even accurate because they make you stand up for vitals when the numbers are supposed to be your resting vitals. ive been to plasma places in chicago, ill
Place is horrible, machines not working and they lower donation price unexpectedly. Don't trust them. True thiefs. Be careful ??
This is my first time. Donating blood and plasma. And i am overwhelmed with the service i got from everyone there. They treated me with respect and walked me through each process. And i will be coming back soon. I especially thank Miss Tasha. For such a warm welcome n keeing me understanding the process and making me laugh through the whole process....Everyone here is so pleasant and nice and considerate to all of the customers... I really appreciated th ....i really appreciated your entire facility....
I called to ask some questions about their process. The second someone picked up they said they were putting me on hold. I said ok. They had me waiting on the phone for 40 minutes before I hung up. I'm sorry but if it takes 40+ for a simple phone call I don't want to see how long it is for a donation.
The staff is always more than friendly when I come through I would recommend friends and family is great for the area and it's always clean
This place tell lies on clients. I was a long time client there and because someone lied on me, I won't be returning!! This is Angela B.
Pump machine are 5 years old, The motto If not broke why get new machines. I think ?? you should before 10th year come.
This was Awesome What I Witness And let me say And let me say again that these two ladies did On Sunday You guys was closed for Christmas now that s my Regular day for donate But you guys was closed for the holidays so everyone ran in there on Sunday and let me tell you and I stay ran in it had to be200People or more that's the way it appeared to me Because The line was long the wait Was a little different than normally but these two young ladies Miss TaylorAnd Miss DanielsHandle that Center like never befo
It's a very social place but, my 2nd experience ever here or any plasma bank for that matter my arm is swollen bruised on several sides guy tried returning blood after relocating needle watched arm swell up asked they said it was alright blood just went around my veinarm swollen barely useable and they gave ice pack and didn't receive full funds. Called they told me they would fix on next visit. It's been 10 days my arm hurts as if it were yesterday bruised in several different locations can't put any pres
They need a better policy 4 to 6 hours for new donor an they pick an choose when they want to accept people any way I've been to other plasma centers never once have I had to experience horrible service like I ve experienced here ...they stop expecting new donor at 7 but have time to gossip about cardi b getting pregnant..... They need a better routine system new employees hell a new owner cause this place is all messed up
Worst plasma pace in the country , an hour & 30 mi. To get you get hooked up , so unprofessional, then they lie about new donors fee 3 hours 2nd time there and received 40 never again horrible.
I like helping sick ppl and you get rewarded also.I kick my legs pretty fast it speeds it up.my niece taught me to that.I make us a green smoothie .They train a lot of new crew on the floor!
Awesome plasma center. Very friendly staff, clean and everyone is very helpful with any questions. If you come to donate, request for either christina, Tina, or Sam in that order. Highly recommend them, they are the best and very good with sticking patients they make sure you are comfortable and taken care of ??????????????
Cookie- Sprit just lighting up my day every time I see her! She is a great worker for this company!!.. ??
One staff member is unnecessarily difficult yo get out of doing her job. This place will do everything to send you away.
Y'all missing out,we enjoy ourselves at grifols. The employees are dedicated, and Larissa is going to get you in and out, after you donate.cause you got things done.??
Been cool with me so far and I'm 8 donation's in so I'm feeling good about them so far. Clean, professional, cool and sometimes entertaining environment I give it a 10 for me.
Two stars for biomat they messed up both arms and told me I get the lowest amount. They wasn't able to return my blood and both arms were hurting for days after. This is unacceptable I couldn't work with both arms so sore this situation caused me more trouble than what it was worth. Not to mention the lack of passion for the people they harm. My last visit was horrible never again.
Terrible! If your a new donor you'll be waiting almost 3 hours before even being called to fill out paperwork. Then you have to wait another 2 hours to see the nurse and then another hour before being placed on a bed.. I would never recommend this place to anyone
I have NEVER has a bad experience at this location, everyone is welcoming and friendly... But hey what can i say you can't please everyone.
My experience at grifol was pleasant ,the staff was very professional made the whole process actually enjoyable.
Super clean, very cool associates, keep the AC in the summer and the heat on in the winter. Pretty cool spot.
The staff is friendly, the experience overall is great. The get you in and out.
A 4 hour wait plus for new donors and they be quick to defer you like literally. It's like they try to trip you up with questions to get you deferred too. Ohh your veins little. Oh you used your asthma pump this week. Oh your medical history...ohh that scratch too deep... Go through the whole process to get deferred and no compensation. Considering all that it's slow because mfs move slow literally. Laughing and joking while we looking around waiting for our names to be called. Go to CSL plasma in Homewood
Deja is very professional Meya is very professional as well I didn't feel anything when she stick me
Unprofessional they give you the run around and tell you to come on another day when they are not accepting people, I lost gas going there just to wait at 7am to get told by staff that there's nothing they can do after 9:30 am wow now I'm stranded with a car out of gas.
This place has the best staff I've ever seen at a donation center except for one but you can't be perfect I just tuned her out she'll be gone because she sticks out like a sore thumb but other than that they make sure you are comfortable as possible very very polite.
I've recently used the Biomat USA facility on 95th and Jeffrey and I was pleasantly surprised by staffs professionalism and upbeat manner in taking care of business and I would recommend them to anybody who is interested.
Twice they have messed up my arms, always short staffed, don't know what they are doing, it always takes 4 hours just to donate and its not worth the money at the end of the day.. terrible place with a rude staff..
I gave 4 stars because of the wait time sometimes it's ridiculous that's my only complaint other than that this plasma center is cool calm n collected
This place had me go through the process of reading a book getting all the way to the screen and I get turned away after being there an hour not cuz I did anything but because he calls a place I donated to 8 years ago for 8 year old records biggest waste of time for something that's not even my fault
I'm in and out with no problems. The staff is cool as well
Exceptional service and staff
Good staff with a great sense of humor, very organized and professional. Way better than the plasma center on kedzie, they suck and are very rude but this place is very inviting and I would love to donate again.
I enjoy donating at this location. The staff is wonderful from the front to the back.
Straight up trash... Liars & Crooks... Avoid this place at all cost if you can. They don't tell you when you call how much they pay because they want to rip you off... Beware!!!!
LET ME BEGIN BY SAYING THIS: A GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS INCLUDING MYSELF WILL BE TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THIS CLINIC. SECONDLY, I ARRIVED ON FRIDAY, MAY 13th, 2022 TO DONATE PLASMA AS MY DOCTOR RECOMMENDED, AS I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION THAT BENEFITS FROM MY DONATION AROUND 7:00 PM. THE FLOOR MANAGER, A HISPANIC WOMNA WHOM REFUSED TO GIVE ME HER NAME, READJUSTED THE NEEDLE IN MY ARM 3 TIMES AND REFUSED TO GIVE ME A PAPER BALL (TO MAKE THE BLOOD FLOW). I FELT THE TENSION FROM THAT MOMENT ON. I ASKED HER WHY
Inappropriate staff members ,they'll constantly stick you wrong and get upset with you for it !!rude very rude staff members waiting on the donor bed for at least 30 mins for a manager with the needle in my arm . They don't care for their donors I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this location your better off finding another one
They are very well bless and they care about all the donor and they treat us nice and it very safe there
I recommend this center,I have visited 3 in the area and this center I 100% recomend from the moment I stepped in the staff is very professional, the center is very clean, Tasha did my intake on my second visit she was very professional, I like that they answer the phones and find answers for u. If u would like to donate plasma this is the center to go too.
I received a text that stated " new and returning donors who have not donated in 6 months or more would receive a bonus if $100.00 on top of the base pay". When it was time to pay up they said it was for returning donors only. Cheated 6 people that I know personally out of $100.00 each.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
