Some of the staff is really kind and attentive, but they have some people who just seem checked out and don't pay any attention. I won't ever let Joshua set me up again because he stuck me when he was just checked out and trying to go home, didn't pay any mind or speak to me or anyone really, and when he stuck me he spent only a second checking for where my vein was and it was painful. He had to readjust it because it was hurting me and I kept having flow issues. After that it was still painful but not as m
I am a college student who has been going over a year here to pay for my tuition and extra costs. I love the staff, all of them are really attentive, kind, and caring for the donors. The place is always clean and not super long waits.
I wish Grifols would communicate better with their donors, when its time for a physical or if their draw came back with low levels. Its irritating that we have to drive up there and waste time just to be told, "no you can't donate today and here is why".. just better communication would be great. Otherwise, I love the staff there and the phlebotomists are top notch and always friendly.
Have a close family friends little girl that is needing help. This awareness is a way to give and help others as well as getting a little help yourself. Everyone can use some extra cash. They also offer bonuses on top of regular pay. I am glad I went to this location. I have been twice and everyone there has been friendly and helpful with the process as soon as I walked in the door until I left. Got in and out of there fast. Highly recommend you to donate here! Help saves lives!??
Everyone inside is nice and comforting. They're really good at their job, and they make all my anxiety go away with the whole needles thing.
This has been the best plasma donation center that I have attended. It's really calm inside, the crew are attentive, and it's just a good vibe. Thank you.
Loved this place was always quick and easy but now with the implementation of appointments it's very hard to get in. Why cut your staff hours in half and advertise "we need more plasma! Refer your friends!" When you no longer have the availability to take in donors because of (booked appointments).
Staff is friendly and helpful with your first appointment. I started going a little over a months ago and have a great experience each time. I've had no issues with the machines and in and out within an hour.
Every time I go it's always fast and efficient. I'm not really much on needles but the staff has always made it comfortable for me. I've really enjoyed talking to the staff some of them will joke with me and it makes a better experience for me.
Overall this location is run pretty well. Generally clean and friendly. There are a couple staff members that don't fall into that generalization, but I feel like they are an exception to that generalization and not the rule. The biggest thing to prepare for is the wait time. It obviously all depends on how busy it is day to day, but I've found it really depends on who's working that day as well. It is incredibly obvious which staff members are striving to work efficiently and which ones are just trying to
Great place to contribute to a great cause with amazing and friendly employees. The fact that they compensate you for each donation is just a wonderful bonus. On top of that, they offer regular bonuses to frequent donors. For example, I got a $50 extra on my last donation due to it being my 8th donation of the month. Highly recommend this place!
Staff is cool, Always in and out fairly quickly which is great ???? This new appointment system is going to make ALOT of people stop going here though
Started back up at this location after more than a decade out. Very professional staff and 100% perfect sticks each time. I do this more for the donation part than the money, but its an easy way to make some extra cash if you need it.
They are friendly, professional, clean, and quick. If you forgot your headphones, don't worry, because they have several large TVs to help pass the time during your donations. The hours are pretty good too giving me a chance to donate outside the typical 9-5
I love everyone. So sweet and so knowledgeable. The building always is clean and smells great. The staff is amazing. Ms.Annie is great. The money helps. Thank you Poodii is also great! Like a great big family.
Unprofessional, rude, reported someone to corporate and it got brushed off. I do not suggest this center go to bryan. They won't let u in after a certain time even if they're still open.
I had an AMAZING experience here. 10/10 for sure. We had some issues with my donation and i wasn't able to complete donating because of a vein problem. The staff was extremely helpful in making sure that I was happy and they tried to keep me as comfortable as possible while they tried to find a new vein. They were succesful and I was comforted by staff constantly. They also didn't rush us out if we were light headed and provided snacks and drinks and let us lay down for as long as we needed to. I was very h
Tonya was very helpful and professional. They have definitely improved the place over the past year! Not that it hurts in the first place, but ask for Brianna, Daeisha, or Brittany and they will make sure your experience is even more quick and painless.
This place is the absolute worse place to go for plasma donation. Avoid at all costs. If you must go, go to the Wellborn Road location in Bryan. My visit there was horrible, PAINFUL!!!! and I witnessed the most unprofessional medical staff anyone had ever seen in a 1st world country. At first it was entertaining, shortly thereafter... I watched every step of the process because I was in fear of my health. It was an experience you would've expected from a horribly run fast food restaurant. Staff members
I've been coming for a year. No bad experience. Really like the staff. Good seeing the same workers every time I come.
It is a great way to make some extra cash. All the employees are friendly. The only thing that would bring the star down is the waiting times. Otherwise a great way to make yourself a good $240 and save a life.
Josh, Ebony, Carli, Marquesha and James are PHENOMENAL!!! I'm sure I left a couple out but I'm old!! These I remember most because they are ROCKSTARS!!! Thanks for being great
I think one star is too high of a rating for them. This place should have a no star option. I find the staff either incredibly rude or incredibly incompetent. I had been deferred on more than one occasion for being one point over in my blood pressure results. I asked the technician what was the danger in being one point over in your blood pressure results and donating. Guess what? She couldn't tell me. I asked to speak to a manager and I asked the same question and guess what? SHE COULDN'T TELL ME EITHER!!!
I've been coming here for a few years now and havent had one complaint. No mess ups, no unfriendly employees. The staff is very helpful and safe while still having fun and interacting with the donors.
I think its crazy how you call this place just to get your pay straight or for anything. And the supervisor on dutie Carson Moore hangs up in your face not once but twice. No reason for it. The sooner they fire these people, the sooner you can get ur clients back. This place is so unprofessional. I will never recommend no one to this place again. Specially when you guys treat them like s***.
I love how well the employees work together. They are all really nice, and good at what they do.
Overall good team, good process. Be realistic with your expectations and you'll be just fine. They have some skilled employees and are friendly.
Staff great! I do have my favorites ;) I can usually get in and out in an hour or so. Place is clean and tidy.
Great staff always in & out within a reasonable time. I will be bk soon
If you don't like needles then donating plasma is not for you. However if you want to make money and help save lives then come here. The workers are nice, friendly, and cool; they will also make sure you are safe and comfortable while you're donating. The process especially the first time can take awhile so plan accordingly.
The staff here are very friendly and are hard workers. They always have little promotions that they make sure to inform you of to make you an extra $5 here and there. I've been here 8 times and have never had a bad experience.
I went several times with different results but this last time ended in pain and disappointing resolution of such. Beware! Because once I came back to inform them of the horrifically PAINFUL bruising I was brushed off and told yeah, it happens, thats normal. This. Is. Normal. Unable to bend arm, unable to sleep because of the extreme pain through the night, unable to work because of the nature of my work requires my arm, etc. And no I did NOT return to ask for compensation or anything by any means. I actual
Would not reccomend. I donated for the first time 27 days ago on the 100 for each new donation plan. I went in for my second donation today and recieved a whopping 40 dollars for 2 hours of my time and a huge bottle of live saving plasma that will be sold for 1k+ by this business. When I called to ask why I did not get the 100 that I was supposed to get, I was told that I got put on the regular donor rate for not donating within a time period. This was never stated as a rule to me at any point and when I we
Great staff. Very personable, and informative. Nice equipment. I go twice a week and have only had good experiences.
I love this place ?? The staff is great and very professional. They get you in and out and always welcome you with a smile and tend to all donors with care.
Overall a great place. I really only trust pooti to stick me and he's always in a great mood, lightening the mood!! . But everyone is super nice. Very clean place!!
Terrible machines and service. People are nice but the machines suck, they keep showing errors that make me wait forever for no reason. I'm a regular donar and every time I go there is a new error. It used to be so quick and effective and now it takes me twice as long to donate
This is such an amazing place. Everyone here is friendly, and always do their best to make me feel comfortable and safe!!
The place is clean. They play really loud music in the back room where the plasma is drawn. Sometimes I leave with a really bad headache which requires narcotics to relieve it
I love this donation center! The employees are always friendly and welcoming. Plus I don't have a problem with the machines. Also, it's quick in easy.
I love the guys that work here they are awesome especially William he is the best they make me feel welcome all the time
Been donating here many times never had a problem until today. Had a guy stick past my vein and it caused pain, the black lady, with a braid in her hair with stuck up attitude, that was supervising him didn't care much and tried to twist my words to the supervisor. Didn't receive an apology until the medical supervisor spoke with me. Also, just know that they will not compensate you without an negotiation/argument. I advise anyone who wants to donate here to not go, it's not worth it. And please whoever rep
I know when these guys get busy it can be hectic, but they always hold composure and maintain a positive atmosphere. I know I am in good hands, and so are my veins!
Besides the process sometimes being a little slow, I would highly recommend BPL Westgate! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The facility is very clean! Great job!
Over all clean nice place. Great money to start up. Staff is pretty good and the sticks I don't even feel if they were trained in house.
Grifos is the only center I've ever donated at however I've never had a bad experience with them. The people are genuine and fun and great at their job, especially William.
I've only been able to donate once and I know to never return. After donating once I tried to go again, but apparently my blood sample was "lost" and they needed me to give a sample of blood to test for safety. That's fine. However, that was in the beginning of November. I waited two weeks and went again, the kiosk said "Donor not eligible for kiosk, see staff" so I went to see staff and my blood still wasn't cleared. The funny thing is they kept calling me to come and donate. Why are you trying to call me
Been coming for bout 6 7 years this place has helped me a lot during good nd bad times great staff nd service
Go Donate at a different Center this place has been bought out by a for-profit company called Grifols that seems to view its clients as cows for their own personal profits. If you want to be treated as a farm animal, go here. I was treated extremely unprofessionally by the woman who was initially testing me. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable as she treated me like some doltish child. I would never hire someone as unprofessional as her as the face of my company. Not to mention, they are so far behind
Jan 2024 Lord have mercy, where to start... trash on the floor(s) -- this is a safety hazard. Apparently, that is okay at Grifols - despite the screening process. They never sterilize BP cups, counters, etc. And, with the mix of donors... THEY NEED TO. Let's talk about staff on the donor floor... GOSSIP, GOSSIP, GOSSIP. The ladies are katty and UNprofessional. Not to mention, when your machine goes green and you are ready to be unhooked, the girls keep chatting and IGNORE you. Why? Why? Why? Peeps, I ha
Great staff! And they keep everything so clean and professional. Not bragging but Josh and Toot are the best phlebotomist
The employees are very fast friendly and positive I'm usually in and out.. great place all around
They just got rid of the bonuses. No more donate 8X and get like an extra $70 on your 8th donation. So yeah, that's a big pay drop for those of us who donate 8X a month. That's a big slap in the face to their most dedicated donors. Just an FYI, they pay people to write these 5 star reviews. It was part of their Bingo game. Writing a 5 star review gets you a square on the Bingo card and each Bingo gets you $5. So probably shouldn't trust the 5 star reviews on Google. Notice how Google, for some reason, has
Went by this morning to inquire about donating. After walking in, a lady instantly pointed to the door and just said 'outside'. So I went outside and kept on going. Why put up with rudeness when you're trying to do a good thing? Looks like they "have missed the mark" again today. I'll investigate other possibilities for donation.
I been donating almost 15 years and this is one the best places I been too. Nice staff and fast service.
Great staff, clean office. I'm usually in and out in 90 minutes or less.
I enjoy donating at this location because it is clean and the employees are great!
Poodii P is always friendly & professional. Never distracted by surrounding. Able to make donors feel comfortable & wanted no matter what time you get there.
Staff is super rude. I had a guy that lacked customer service skills and had a snobby attitude and this isn't the first time I noticed for the past months I've been coming here! I don't recommend anyone coming in and expecting friendly staff at all.
Thank God for this company. The product (s) Grifols provides allows for others to live and thrive. It's a win win for the donor and the recipient. It's a gracious gift of life. Thank you to all who donate, work and create the medicines for those in need. Sincerely, Jennifer Passmore
I love this facility! The phlebotomist are all so kind and great at what they do!! I look forward to getting to come and see them, help others, and get paid ??
Love coming to donate here,Everyone is so friendly and they get you in and out!! Definitely recommend this facility to others. ??Saving lives??
Currently at my 2nd donation here, very friendly staff! ??
Love the staff here at BPL! Everybody is always super friendly and outgoing. Never had a single problem with donating here.
They ignore you while donating, very rude attitudes. Extreme negligence while handling the needelss. And extreme racial preferences. Be wary of the brunette with curly hair she will curse you out for inquiring about the length of time to complete the donation.
This is a fantastic way to make extra money while helping people. I've been a donator at this location since before it became Grifols Biomat. The staff is friendly and takes good care of donors.
I enjoy the people and the politeness of its employees but last night I had to walk 8 miles in the dark because I ran out of gas because the money was not on my card when it should of been. my cell phone was dead so I could not call for help but in all I enjoy going to the plasma center in college station off university
Everyone at this location always seems to be in a good mood, and they move people through the process quickly.
Donated here 3 times. The 4th time they gave me 40 in compensation after telling me to my face that I would get 100 before taking my plasma then for them to tell me a policy saying that I had to come in 4 times within a month after the fact.
the service was excellent in spite of the fact that the place was full to capacity. Especially Poodie!. He always provides prompt and professional service.
Always an excellent experience. Fast, friendly, caring staff make donations a pleasure.
Excellent experience. Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable environment.
It's a clean facility with fun and helpful staff. The process can take some time, but overall a good experience.
Will never go here again. I do know it's a quick way to get money, but even for that I won't go back. I have rolling veins, so I got stabbed 10 times by amateurs and didn't even get compensated for it.
Very friendly and very helpful when you need it. Love going to bpl cause I know I am helping save lives and I take my daughter with me every time I go
Always a great business oriented but friendly and comfortable atmosphere . Everyone is always ready to help and make my donation time smooth and comfortable as possible
I love BPL; Sometimes there is a wait, but the staff are very courteous and working very hard. Always treated with respect here.
They are very sweet people I love the way they treat u.U n out no problem at all very nice place
Toot is an amazing worker. Always smiling and never a pain when she sticks you. She is a preference of mine.
easy way for money friendly staff sometimes takes awhile but can't complain to much
Always good friendly staff they know what their doing
I love the people super nice. Have a few people coming in. Fun place been coming in for 3 Year?s
They were very fast and friendly I had such an awesome experience
Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and donating for a good cause.... Plus the quick easy money is nice.
This place is wonderful and good people there. I always have a good experience there.
great experiences here, friendly staff that helps make your donations comfortable and quick!
Nice professional staff, in and out fast. Great way to earn extra cash
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
