This place is unorganized, biased, and unprofessional! It's a game of chance when you walk in weather you can donate or not. Most of the time it depends on who's working. The staff is constantly complaining how management miss treats them and it's been as bad as standing in line to be screened, I've heard managers talking about the staff in a negative way. I just want to donate to help save lives and to be able to have extra money to work on my truck. The company really needs to look at this center because
So Grifols plasma turned away a freshly showered dressed in clean clothes veteran and then made fun of him after he left. That's low. Making fun of people is ugly, making fun of vets is crappy and talking behind people's backs is uncalled for and cowardly. Will definitely be contacting corporate. That is unprofessional and makes the whole place look bad. Would definitely not recommend if they'll do it to a vet they'll do it to you. The supervisor didn't care about the employees deplorable behavior. Definite
It sucks. I hate to say it but the place really sucks. I don't smoke but live with smokers, so when one of their non smoking employees thinks they smell cigarettes on my clothes then I get differed which is a total pain in my arse. Bc then I gotta go back home change clothes, shower, spray down with body spray re set another appointment, go back up there just to get turned away again. All the unnecessary crap just to watch two of the actual smokers get passed right on thru to donate. I hear it's their polic
For being hesitant with donating at first, this place helped me become comfortable with it. That was over a year ago. Now, they still strive to make donating plasma a comfortable experience for everyone. They even answer simple questions one might have and talk with everyone like it's any other day. Overall, I enjoy coming to this place. Yea, helping people is my main goal of donation, but the people here are some of the best I've experienced anywhere.
They claim that I have a S.T.D. ,but after testing with my primary care doctor the test came up negative. Then I tested again with Grifols, first test negative/positive second test was negative. They at that point said I was in a never ending loophole. I just don't get it.
I Love donating here. Very easy and quick to get in and the staff is amazing. I'd recommend this place to everyone
I went in last week to donate and was turned away because I donated once 4 days earlier at another plasma center. I had no donations the week prior. They told me to come back. So I came back today, 5 days later. I was turned away AGAIN. This time my veins aren't big enough. I've been donating for 6 weeks at another location no issue. They were clearly unhappy a new donor was there at 2 pm. Honestly, it's a great looking facility. Seems like the staff is quite lazy though. I was told to come back in
This is an okay center usually it's fast. But I am literally sitting in here right now and im seeing favoritism? Probably repeat donors but I've been sitting in the waiting area to get hooked up for 45 minutes? but other people have been walking right in, being all friendly with the nurses and immediately getting hooked up. Extremely aggravating.
Practically all new crew, leaves a lot to be desired.
It is imperative that people understand the risks that employees expose themselves to while providing assistance. Moreover, these employees stay for as long as two to three hours after closing time to ensure proper sanitizing and disinfection of the premises, so that nothing is transferred to the next donor. I cannot commend this place enough for their excellent service and respect towards their customers. They do an exceptional job each time.
Unclear instructions. First time I went I was rejected because they only accept a certain amount of new donors per day but I didn't see that on the website. Came back later earlier in the day but I hadn't drank enough water so an employee told me I can go home to drink some water and come back, so I did. I went back in and another employee told me that it has to be another day because I drank it too fast. Now I'm just over hydrated and sad.
Hi if you want more money to donate go to the one in Searcy. Thay pay $130 for each time. That extra $50 buddy system that Conway has is just a joke
Everyone here is so nice and wonderful I recommend Biomat USA to all my friends and family
If I could give 0 stars I would For the past month and a half I've been trying to donate plasma without success. The first time, I had to stop taking a medication to donate, which is fine. They never gave me paperwork or instructions, just asked me to come back after a month of not taking it. I come back a month later, and they give me paperwork and treat me like an idiot for not having the paperwork they never gave me. I have to have my doctor sign it, but they tell me I can get it digitally signed. I leav
I have not had any negative experiences thus far. The employees are friendly and attentive in my opinion. The very first visit is the roughest because it takes so long and I had a few hiccups before I was actually able to donate. After that, no issues at all. :)
Waste of time n lies!!! First time goin the worker lady said my veins aren't visible and needle was bigger than my veins but I looking at several veins come back in 2weeks? so I asked for a manager he make up a lie and say the needle might not hold in my arm for some reason. The say you might need to hydrated more I workout 5 days a week in the gym.. then he say donation blood isn't for everyone might not be for me!!! So unprofessional!!!
This plasma center is ran by immature children that have no business in the positions their in. They cannot handle their shift. Extremely rude. No accountability whatsoever. They threaten to permanently differ you if you stick up for yourself. Do not frequent this center. You will be glad you didnt. All facts no spite.
The plasma Center is clean, the staff is professional. Very thankful that I can help others through my donation. Arrive early as they are a busy Center.
I give it 3 stars because they refused me for having melanoma removed over 18 years ago with no other issues since then. Everything I'm finding says a 12 month waiting period. I'm in very good health and this was soul crushing for me. The ladies that did my interviews were very nice.
Great place to help others in a convenient way, while also compensated. It's a relief knowing I help contribute to saving life?s, like my father in law battling cancer and needing plasma transfusions. You never know how much it helps until it is close to home. Staff is very accommodating and knowledgeable.
I'm going to put this as honestly and clearly as possible... Apparently, there is a rule that if you did not eat the morning of your donation, they won't let you donate. I work the third shift, so my meals are not able to be planned for normal hours. Apparently, this was not to their liking, so they turned me away. I'm not angry, but it seems like there should be a little more professionalism and logic behind that decision. Not all of us get to sleep and eat on a normal schedule.
This place is really unorganized and the workers act like they don't know what they are doing except a few. Everytime I come here it takes over 30 minutes after to doing the kiosk to be seen for the check up even if you are first in line. I don't know what's going on with this company I've been with them for 8 years but they have steadily been on a rapid decline of quality and good customer service, if octapharma wasn't so far I would go there instead.
Staff are usually nice. Not many issues personally. I get really nervous everytime, and it doesnt help when there are so many people, so i have trouble with my pulse alot. If i fail from that too much i wont be able to donate. I relay on this to cover my bills so i do my best to never miss a day
I have been down here 4 times now just to donate plasma, I rarely have time off from work or school, and every time they find an excuse for me to not be able to donate. ?You need your social security card our system is down? ?Sorry we ran out of tubes?, ?we can't take new donors because the portal is down?. The amount of excuses this place will give, I've just given up donating here. They never want to work with you.
Just read someone else's review that they were turned away twice and now know I'm not the only one. Today was twice in a row to be turned away because I need to get a physical done. Was told the last time I came that I needed to come in by 5:30 and came today at 5:26 but turned away again and an hour drive there and back plus had a bonus that expired the day after I first came in and they wouldn't honor it. If you do go, just go early and plan on being there for 2-3 hours bc they are slow to unhook you when
Today I did my third donation and had a third pleasant experience. Staff was super friendly and I was only hooked up to the machine for 30 minutes (I'm sure that will vary from person to person). Shout out to Betsy who has nailed the needle insertion each time. Almost painless ;D
I came as a new donor and wanted to register but twice I was turned away. I came yesterday at 5:30 PM and was told they stopped taking new donors at 5:00PM and to return tomorrow. So I showed up today at 3:30PM and was told they were not taking anybody. I informed the worker that ?I was here yesterday and was told to return today but you're refusing me a second time at an earlier time. When should I come to donate?? She said ?You can come tomorrow (Saturday) between 9:30 and 10:30 AM.? That's not a good tim
2nd time I've went up here in 2 days. Spent 20 in gas money just to get up there. 1st time weren't accepting new donors (I'm a returning donor haven't been in a while that's okay) I come back in today at 11:45, I get halfway through the process and am in the middle of answering questions when there's a problem with my permanent address. Turned away for the second time and wasted 2 hours and 20$ in gas. I would love to be able to donate and help people and I have no problem with the staff but come on. That's
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! This place is a load of bull. They wasted more of my time and money than they ever would have given me had they not turned me away (after a month and 4 wasted trips up there) just because my tattoo was too new. Apparently they neglect to inform people exhaustively of things that will disqualify them from donating. This is true even in the small book they make you read before donating the first time. Overall, this place was a HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
I've been donating here for years now. You get to help people and make a little extra towards bills. The staff is generally pretty good, never had a complaint, and the one time there was a payment issue it was solved within minutes.
The staff is always so courteous and friendly, and they helped me overcome my apprehension during my first visit. The process is quick and painless too! I now try to donate as much as possible, and I feel very fortunate to live right next to such a positive environment with a great cause!
it was very disheartening for me to walk in today and be treated like im a nasty person. i was refused because i smell like "dog and outside." i dont have a dog and im a walmart delivery driver and i just came off my shift. i have been coming here 3 years and have never been told i stink, nor have even been refused like this. i am beyond upset right now i wouldnt give any stars at all if i could.
The most unorganized plasma center that I have been to. I got there as a new donor at 12:45. At 4:30 I was told I couldn't donate because I had donated at another center 8 days before. In the very beginning, I told the gal that I had donated more than a thousand times and the last time was 8 days ago. So, I was deferred and wasted my whole afternoon. Don't go here, they don't know WTH they are doing. Plus, to top it off, they are on the second floor and I am disabled. They have an elevator, but there is
Came Tuesday, I was within 7 days of donating at a different facility. I made an appointment for 2 days later for 7 am. I called the next day and said I was bringing a friend does the count as a referral. Yes!! Drive allllll the way the from Little Rock, no referral because I didn't donate yet. Love being lied to and inconvenienced! They don't care! No wonder nobody wants to donate! Oh and the Manager is the biggest liar there! Don't believe him as far as you can throw him!!!!!
Donation process is a breeze, if you can even get that far. The people behind the donating process are nice but the people behind the counter are rude and poorly trained. Call and tell us they take new donors 3 hours before close, come 5 hours before close and they don't accept new donors after 3. Come up another time can't donate because with my breakfast I drank coffee??? Never been a problem before. 2 1.5hr round trips for nothing.
They are very rude and need a lot more training. I have also witnessed one of them playing and crawling around on the floor while she was working. Every time I ask for the supervisor to stick me, they get an attitude and always say she's busy doing something (EVERY TIME). Also, the pay needs to be better explained at sign up.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Called a week ahead and made an APPOINTMENT as a new donar. I get there, it takes 20 minutes for someone to talk to me at the registration desk and they tell me its a 4 hour wait. Uhm, whats the point of making an appointment? Bad business. Wasted my gas which isnt cheap and my time.
Ive been here a couple times now. It takes like 4 hours the first time. It took me 3 trys to even get it done. The people that take your plasma are nice but the people up front for everything else are just rude. They have no idea what they are talking about most of the time if you CALL in to make an appointment don't even bother going lol. All of the people there ALL OF THEM act like they are running a country. Not taking donations they so "desperately" need. I almost decided not to donate because of how ru
I love donating at Biotest! I have never had an employee be rude to me or anything like that. And I have never witnessed any employee openly flirting with donors or other employees. There is a casualness here that I am thankful for. It makes the experience of donating much more comfortable. I donate between 8-10 times per month and a lot of the employees know me by name. And I appreciate that! It makes me feel like more than just a donor, I feel like a friend. Perhaps others should donate at a different tim
I always love going here to donate plasma. It's always clean, the staff is very courteous and welcoming, and if not too busy I'm usually finished in a timely manner. Going on a regular basis definitely becomes addictive quick.
Several times they told me that I needed to bring in a piece of mail dated within the last thirty days to confirm my address. Something government sent. I brought in an appointment letter from dhs dated 15 days before. Now they tell me it has to be dated within a week. They won't let me donate and there is nothing wrong with me other than I don't have bills in my name. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Staff is very nice and professional. They always make sure the donation process is quick and easy as possible.
My experience with the Conway Biotest has been wonderful. Every Employee whatever job their assigned too has been friendly or helpful The process has been easy and if a problem comes the staff handles it. The facility and bathrooms are very clean.. I appreciate being able to donate in a facility like Conway Bio test..
The staff is professional a d friendly. The business is very clean and well maintained. My only gripe, and it's a big one, is the God awful music. There are 100s of other channels that play many other genres of music, not just ghetto hip hop, or alternative. Other than that, the place is great!
We called ahead to see what we needed because we were new. They said what we needed and brought it. They said our paper work had to be within the last 7 days which they didn't tell us on the phone. We asked if they took walk in they said yes now they are saying they don't. Then we were turned away for a bad oder when even the 2 nurses didn't smell anything and no one was around us. Horrible service minus the 1 nurse.
This place is a joke. I went in a month ago and went thru the two hours of questions and physicals. I couldn't donate because my heart rate was 100. They told me to come back another time. They said I was in the computer now, so I would just have to check in next time and go from there. No more 58 questions to answer and another physical. I called Monday for an appt on Tuesday, and was told since I was in the computer I didn't need an appt, I could just walk in. I went in yesterday at 4:30. The computer fou
This location needs new management. Numerous times I have witnessed them being rude to people trying to sign up as new donors. My first donation of the week resulted in an infiltration, they told me I would be composited the normal $35, they only compensated me $10. When I called they said the manager said this was the new policy. I asked if I returned for my second donation of the week if I was still eligible for the $100. I was told no that would be considered my first donation of the week per the manager
I have been here twice to donate and have a release from my dr that they themself have me to get filled out and I done that. They will still not see me due to the fact I did not put in total detail what meds I take and what I take them for. It amazes me that we are in a need for plasma and when I try and go donate I can't because I won't give detailed info. Yes I had a opiate addiction and now on suboxone I was not a iv drug user. Why is it when people turn there life around people still want to beat them d
I had to use the bathroom half way between the drawing process and refused to stick me again. So now I get half pay because of them. When they've restuck me before after using the bathroom.
Careful folks, this place will ignore the reality of any disabilities you may have, if ita convieniabt for them. I am legaly blind, and they posted flyers at the facility pertaining to Christmas eve day, the facility closed early and only took appointments. I did not see these flyers, nor did the online information reflect that this day was appointment based only. On Christmas eve, I went as far as to call the facility to ask before getting a ride to donate, nobody answeresmd the phone after I attempted
Just to preface, I kind of depend on these donations to make rent. I wish I didn't, but there just isn't any way for me to make it otherwise. I occasionally have a minor pulse problem that makes me ineligible for the day (usually 101 when 100 is the max) which is fine. The reason for the low review is that this Wednesday I failed the 3rd time in 90 days, so they told me if I failed again id have to get a doctors approval before I could donate again. Came back Friday and passed (75 btw) and then was told 10
ALWAYS a good experience. Staff is professional, courteous and friendly. Atmosphere is clean and comfortable. FAR superior to ANY other plasma center at which I've donated. The fact that an armed law enforcement agent is not necessary at the door speaks volumes. ??
Donated for they first time! I was nervous about it but they put me at ease about it! Love the nurse! She was super sweet! The only complaint I had is I have a nasty bruise from donating.. I called today and they said can't donate untill the bruise goes away.. will be back when bruise goes away though!
Very annoying to make an appointment, get signed in with all my info, then be told to go eat more and come back in 45 minutes. I had an 800 calorie breakfast a few hours before donation, but was told it wasn't a "well-balanced" meal and that I'd need to eat more and come back later. Website does indeed state to eat a well-balanced meal and drink plenty of water, but if its going to be completely subjective on a case-by-case basis, perhaps some examples on what you're looking to be told was eaten would be he
The staff are friendly and its a great way to earn a little extra money and help other individuals that need blood plasma. Please do your part & donate today! It is never to late to help someone else that is less fortunate than you. God bless you ?? ??
I've been donating here for about 3 years on and off. Most of the medical screeners are less than friendly. They always seem to be in a bad mood. Once you go to the donor floor it's a totally different experience!! Everyone, I mean everyone, is so happy and down-to-earth. I will say that this center is always clean. However, they allow any and everyone to donate, no matter their hygiene or physical appearance. The donor pay is tolerable due to it being higher than most centers close by. Most of the phleboto
We had donated a few times. Out of 6 workers on the floor, one seemed to be competent and knew what he was doing. The other seemed more interested in flirting and giggling with their coworkers. The place was clean, but most of machines seemed old and the kiosks barely work. During last donation, the worker left a blood clot in needle and ignored beeping machine. I had horrendous bruise that last two weeks. They need more experienced employees. To get hired there, you need no medical training.
While some days are busier than others, my experiences there have been great. Everyone that works there does incredible and are always moving to help the next person
I love me some ELANI! she knows how to make a person feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. She makes me feel like a celebrity everytime I come in. She is always helpful and she is super funny! I can't think of the ones who actually have to stick people but the staff is freaking amazing. I will always come here and give. Feel like I'm at home while I'm here! Keep up the great and awesome work to all the staff at biotest plasma center! Oh yes to members of management all your staff deserves a rais
Bio test is a facility that truly cares about quality control. They go above and beyond to ensure that every experience, negative or positive, is treated in a professional manner. I would like add a few honorable mentions, but in this case they are all honorable, I would recommend this facility to any and everyone. Thanks to everyone at Biotest for an A+ experience.
The staff make my visits worth it! Always very friendly and professional. Sometimes the waits are long but that's a result of how fantastic this center is.
Seems like every single time I've come up here to donate plasma they have come up with one excuse after another. They have wasted my time over and over and after walking 10 miles today knowing that I am eligible to donate. They turn me away saying I need a nurse's approval which they do not even have nurses on staff today. I just do not understand how they do not have nurses working but yet stil Pro plasma from patients and then turn them away saying they need a nurse's approval! Take me to taste of their o
Great knowledgeable staff, clean building, quick to help you if you have a reaction to the donation. I had one on my last cycle, all I said was "I feel weird" and 5 or 6 folks rushed to my aid in seconds...good thing too cuz I was suddenly hot, nauseous, disoriented, etc. They tell you not to ignore any weird feelings...they aren't kidding!
I love how, on my fifth donation, where i would be getting a bonus, all of the sudden the eczema on my arms was an issue. I have chronic eczema on my arms ALL the time. It reacts to my allergies and stress levels so it's always there. I've been donating for years and all of the sudden today i was turned away because of the eczema on my arms that has always been there. Convenient for them, how the only thing different with this appointment was, i was suppose to be receiving a generous bonus. I wonder if ANYO
This place is a joke I went in 2 different times just to be turned away. 1st time no appointment when website clearly says walk-ins welcome. 2nd time said breakfast wasn't sufficient and inadequate water intake. I'm not a rocket scientist but maybe you should make a list of EVERYTHING that is required or expected before donation. Why spend so much on advertising if they aren't going to accept new donors
Making an appointment online was easy, however it doesn't give you proper instructions. Apparently 'drink plenty of water' means you are suppose to specifically drink a gallon of water. 'Make sure you eat breakfast before you come' means you need to eat a large amount of unhealthy food because oatmeal, a banana, and a protein shake is not a well balanced meal. Also pertaining to food, you should automatically know to eat 30 minutes before you come....not 20, because it makes a difference. And finally, b
The experience with biomat, is amazing. They are very vital help, when it comes to you needing some extra cash! All you have to do is sit there and relax, not to mention how easy it is to enroll as a new or returning donor. Thanks grifols!!
Very respectable and fun staff, I always enjoy seeing them when I go in to donate and they do a good job of getting you through as quickly and painlessly as possible!
(Walk ins are welcome after your first appointment when they put you in the system, staff is polite and nice, and the money is good. Really about the only thing I don't care for is the occasional wait on busy days or times.) *This was my review as of until today. After going back and forth between them and my doctor for 2wks straight! Saying that they need a list of medications "apparently worded wrong" over and over every day until just now to call me and say that I can no longer donate indefinitely!!! The
It's a certain nurse that checks veins that seems to be in a rush and always defers me because she can't find a proper vein in my arm. I'm going to go to another place and try that's ridiculous.
Gave them 5 stars because most of the time the staff is friendly but every once in a while I get a rude bmt. Most of the time it's a clean place. But hey, if donating my plasma helps someone else live a happy healthy life then I'm all for it.
Not a professional environment most the people are rude and act better than everyone no one there seems to know what's actually going on wasn't even paid the first time a day until 2 days later didn't even receive full payment for being a new donor
Biotest is Conway is a great place. The people that work there are very friendly and will laugh and cut up with you. If there is ever a problem, they drop what they are doing to take care of you. I would recommend biotest to Conway to everyone I know. No hesitation.
The facility is ALWAYS CLEAN! The phlebotomists consistently check on your comfort. The front staff make sure that first time donors understand the process and are adequately hydrated and nourished. Biotech is more concerned with the donor's health than their own profit, which is unusual in the plasma industry. I will continue to drive 30 minutes to this center, even though the pay is a little less. It is worth it in the long run!
Great staff, very helpful. Sometimes the wait to donate is long? but I'm sure covid has made staffing an issue like every other place.
Everyone is super nice there and I didn't have a problem however I think you should give more specials to your return donors new donors get $100 for the first eight donations yet your return donors are getting the same amount they were a year ago your return donors are still getting the same that they were getting a year ago yet your return donors yet your return donors
I had a very rough beginning due to meds I was taking but thing were working out and I am great now . I know this was for my well being as well as for the center . The facility is very clean , comfortable , and professional .
Been going here for awhile and lately they've just gone down hill the people on the floor dont care if your machine goes off the just come up and tap the screen and on top of that they paid my a full 12 hours late and when my roomates fianc?e didnt received half of her payment and they attempted to speak with the individuals working there as i was still donating the made snide comments and the management could care less and instead of hearing what they had to say he barred them from donating Dont waste your
My name is Ronnie skinner , an have been donating for some time now, and it is always a good experience, as the staff are always very kind ,helpfull , an personal , if there are any issues ,at all they fix or take care of promptly , I really like coming, here ,the all make me feel family, OUTSANDING,!!!!!!
I've made $5015 in beer money thanks to BioTest! Tell 'em I referred you and you'll get an extra $25 too. Don't forget to print off coupons for first-time donors on their website, and check their Twitter page every day before heading there because a lot of times they throw extra $5 or more bonus coupons going on all the time! Usually simple stuff like checking in on Facebook, posting a tweet, canned good drives, it's so simple and easy. I bring my headphones and watch YouTube while I donate. I pull cas
Great customer service! Things move quickly and payment is received quickly!
If you have deep veins or are in anyway difficult to stick, don't bother. Two techs (one a supervisor!) Literally had an argument in front of me because neither wanted to stick me. I have never been so offended in my life! They acted as if I was a lab rat. They also have the cheap, portable Plasmapheresis machines that are VERY temperamental and will malfunction at the drop of a hat. If you can travel farther into the city definitely try another center,I know I will be.
Frustrating experience. They treated doners rudely because they were short-handedard. Exactly why I quit going for so long. I watch them let a lady leave that they said needed to drink a Gatorade, they just let her leave.
Donate twice a week and my screener Shelly is always professional and very punctual! Always answers my questions quickly and completely! I like to donate because it helps other people
Always clean and the staff are friendly! Wait times can be long sometimes, but the staff handles accordingly. Never have had a bad experience
This was my second go round being a new donor, don't call and ask info because 9/10 it will be the wrong information. Their staff aren't trained very well and don't know general things they should. I won't be going back after this time.
If you have psoriasis they will not let you donate! I literally have donated here with flair up but they are were scales. Been treating with a steroid cream from my dermatologist and look 100% better now they won't let me donate! I legit was flair up so bad the last time I donated and they would let me donate but not now?!
nice place, staff won't accept documentation from social security office even if it has all your information including social security number, so don't try that! Nice clean atmosphere and overall easy to donate
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
