I had an absolutely amazing experience with donating today. They explained everything thoroughly, made the process as smooth as possible. It was my first time donating so I was a little nervous, but the staff made it so easy. While there are a lot of restrictions and tests (testing for iron and heart rate/blood pressure) it's for your health and safety. If you follow their guidelines, you'll be able to donate with no problem! Will definitely be back soon!
Such a Lovely Experience While Helping Out. The staff has safety w/ concern and care.. ( Amazingly Comfortable Fun Environment ). You will learn from them as I am doing right~ now currently, what needs to be done which makes you 150,000% healthier~too. 48 years old, I am the healthiest I have ever been in my life. I get a health check twice a week, while getting rewarded, helping people iNeed of our PLASMA. I failed several times falling below the recommended levels, I went home focused on good positiv
Kyara was extra great with her customer service as my donation was just being a pain for whatever reason. She didn't get bothered and literally stood by my side during my whole donation.. wish I knew how to not be a pain, I haven't always been .. but I always try to request Kyara and Heather as my donation experience usually go well with those two
I've been to this place a total of 5 times and was only able to donate 3 times the first donation wasn't great because the chick was new when she put the needle through my skin it went right through my vein which caused a big bubble where the needle was someone else had to switch arm becausethe new one messed up. My second time to donate I couldn't because of the really bad bruise. Now fast forward through my second and third donation went great no complications but going in to do my 4th donation I get part
Been getting spam calls and texts being asked to donate I use to donate here regularly but everything is always complicated so every once and a while I'll drive 2 HOURS AWAY to donate here and this time was the last time I'll ever come here I was told on the phone if I got here by 5:30-6:00 I'd be fine but soon as I get here ?oh we need to redo your physical? WHITCH I GOT NOT EVEN 4-5 months EALIER so now I just lost out on 15$ in gas and don't know how ima make it to work for the week this is such a shady
Very Disappointed with the staff this year had no problem doing donations last year, but this year they need to slow down and pay attention what they're doing. Bruise me up good on both arms last Thursday. Then I couldn't do the donation Monday because of the bruise. Then this Thursday they had to poke me twice and said there was a blood clot. They couldn't tell me if I have blood clots in my veins or the machine was causing it I should get something out of this since I'm wasting my time now. I contacted co
They don't answer the phone.. google puts this in the range but our zipcode says more than 40 miles.. completely wasted trip.. we are actually 38 miles.. not really sure why there's a limit on location either... ridiculous
Competent and compassionate! Harold at biomat made me feel welcomed, informed and that I was in good hands! There is a lot to be said for good staff and a great experience from start to payed! Donate today and get paid to help preserve life.
I was referred by my wife to come here and give it a shot. I was told what to expect a gentleman told me I could have my pressure checked first before the finger stick. So I tell that to the lady who is checking me ,with an attitude she says well that is not how we do things over here. So of course anyone can guess my pressure starts to go up. So I fail but not even by a lot. Tells me I have to sit for 15 minutes. I sit for 7 minutes and am called up to be checked again but who am I to say anything when the
I recently started donating and I must admit it wasn't as bad as I thought. I was sitting and my machine was going off for about 20 minutes and ALICIA came over out of no where. She is one of the main reasons I keep returning! Way to go ALICIA and thank you for making me comfortable with donating
Not only was I in this place for 2 and 1/2 hours but when I first got there I was told I would receive $75. Joe, one of the girls went to the manager or whoever she was and told her what I was old. The lady was supposed to be in charge says no. We're only going to give him $50 even though I was told something else. The doctor who told me I was going to get 75 came out and said he talked to a manager about it and she still turned them down and only gave me $50. This is very rude. Very non-professional and so
Horrible experience upfront the two African American female doing my vitals were very rude and disrespectful. But the people In the back were amazing.
The staff at this location is awesome and the atmosphere is good. My concerns are not with the local location itself but more about the corporate/ management issues. They used to be the best paying center in the area but they continued to decrease the donor amounts. They introduced a passport bonus for sep and oct which was motivating for sure. Within the passport it states you get an xtra $5 on your first weeks donation ( which we did get) and it states you get a $20 bonus on your 7th donation in sep. now,
I really enjoy donating. They staff is very professional and very caring. I could be going to a center in Daytona, but i like the staff here in deland so much it's worth the drive.
I have been donating here for near 5 years. And I love it there the staff r extremely friendly helpful and understanding. Make u feel safe secure clean and very professional. I highly recommend anybody to go there if u go u will not regret it I promice u that.
1)They display false advertisement $700 in your 1st month. I received a little over $500. 2) The staff unprofessional, rude & obnoxious. 3) They seem to want to annoy you at sign in. OmG can you spare 2 mins to adjust the camera position on the tripod? It takes an act of God to position the QR code... 4) They seem to be LGQPo'd at anybody that isn't a rainbow flag person. I almost feel like they miss so they can pressure you into a second stick because they don't like me. 5) The staff gossiping to make whoe
I've donated here quite a few times now and never had an issue with bruising. My veins are small and I am a hard stick. Seasoned techs had no issues. I was connected and never got checked on unless the machine alarmed. I tried to let the tech know about the pain but couldn't get her attention til close to time to D/C. The response then was your almost done. Another lady that did the D/C offered an ice pack, which I declined, mainly bc I didn't think it would bruise like it did. As others have mentioned, it
Was one place that made the process easy out in a hour and half . Now for the last two months there's been long waiting times , employees standing around , my arm was bruised by a new employee . It now takes me almost 2 and a half hours to 3 now. It's not worth it if you factor in your own health risks of having ppl stick you with needles . I really liked this place but now it's not very good .
came back here after a couple of months and got drug tested and i passed so i wanted to reschedule, i asked them if i would have to do the drug test again the next day after i already passed and they said no. Here comes the next day i came in for my appointment and they start pretending they never told me i didnt have to be drug tested again blatently lying to my face, then the male nurses started mocking me saying things like "dont lie because liars go to hell!" and laughing at me. Nothing but more sick so
I really will never understand the point of an appointment, especially when you're not screened/seated for 45 mins past what your appt is. Biggest problem that continues to happen, is I will get seated ahead of at least 2 people but always have to wait another 15/20 mins to be stuck. Is it really hard to see when someone?s chart was printed out? It's great seeing favoritism is a place as such it seems. Regardless if I were the only one in here I'm sure another 1/2 would end up in front of me. Just chos
I've went 3 times to try and donate, first time it took them about 4 hours to screen me and get me through everything including donating, wasn't horrible. Second visit I came in no appointment cause they said they'd show me how to make an appointment and everything through the app on my second visit, they showed me how but was very sarcastic and with how he was showing me, 3 visit came in for my 3:30-3:45 app, I got there at 3:42 and was denied saying I can only be 10 minutes late and they are full for the
First day I had a gentleman named Shane help me, hes beyond amazing! Today I had the pleasure to be helped by abdiel and the manager who spoke with me today Danielle i think is the manager, anyway great team!
The staff here makes it worth my 2+ hour trip to get there. Always friendly chat. 1st Class Service and never disappointed. Prescreening is so fast and phlebotomists are exceptional! I've donated before at other locations and this by far is the best!!!! Especially Popie!!!!
It's always hit or miss with staff. First time at the facility there was a male employee cursing and having a melt down at the vitals area over management issues and it made me feel really uncomfortable. They have some great employees the only reason they got 2 stars, but there are a few rotten apples who are inexperienced, lack caring to do a good job or very disgruntled employees, perhaps that's the company?s fault or they are just lazy and immature? I have had my vein punctured straight through out th
No longer coming to this location. Those girls i encountered today are just like high school kids. I dont appreciate the talking over and across the rooms. Normal conversation i am okay with. I dont need to hear other peoples drama while im donating. I got enough of my own.
Edit: Wow y'all. These are some of the worst Google reviews I've ever seen. Look how many repeat the same specific issues. Imagine how low your stars would be without those early years of five stars padding it. Maybe next time, don't staff a medical facility from a sign-up sheet on a folding table in the DHS cafeteria... During summer school. -I've donated here on and off for years, and have donated in multiple different donation centers in multiple cities, on and off for years. This used to be hands do
So you cut the staff and you cut the donor's pay. My appointment was 4 o'clock I finally just got back here and got stuck at 5 o'clock. You have a bunch of stiffs here walking around taking notes slowing everything down. It's not worth coming in here for 50 bucks for over 2 hours. You have one person working out front taking Everybody vital stats. Now you make Everyone stand in line out front waiting to get our vitals taken what's the purpose of that.
Very unprofessional. A waist of my time.
Beautiful place And people. Tan is amazingly funny, makes you feal at ease. Justin, what can i say, hilarious. I am new to this facility and everybody makes you feel very welcome and at home. This is my sixth time here and each and every time I am reminded why I chose to come here, everyone is great from the time you walk through the door until the time you leave I would recommend it to anybody.
I decided to go on a Sunday which was almost empty when I go there. Did my questions. Waited for about almost 90 minutes. Thru this time some people had arrived which they were new and needed to conduct a physical. When I went to get my temp and vitals checked they informed me that I myself had to conduct a physical and they were booked for the day. Almost 2 hours in there for them to tell me this. Very rude. The person spoke to me like they did not care about my time or how long I have been waiting there.
The staff working here are very kind, courteous, and professional. Needing money quick, I seen an ad for up to $1,000 a month, so I thought this could really help out, and I would be helping someone else out at the same time, win, win, but sadly they do not honor their advertisements that a week later is still up. In the end, I stopped going here because I could not get in as often. They would always give me a UA which added an extra hour hour and a half onto my wait time. The only good thing about this pla
My experience here at Biomat has been amazing. Staff is super friendly and know what they are doing. I'm usually super nervous usually but the team here makes you feel welcomed and comfortable! Recommend to come here first before anywhere else!
Giving 3 stars do to lack of staff and planning ... Wait times are increasing everyday and no sign of getting any better or faster. Waited 3 hours last week to start my donation and i wonder how long i have to wait today . So far its been 30 min waiting in a full lobby . My hopes are to be out of here before 8 at least . I booked for 5:45 and i think everyone has booked for the same . Management you need to put back the chairs upfront for people that are standing around , need to hire up more staff and the
I've been going to Biomat for years. I enjoy it here. Everyone is normally very nice and friendly but today (maybe the person was having an off day, I don't know) was different. I got done giving plasma and went to get the car keys from my husband as I do every time we are there. Mind you, I was on the side where you go out to exit, in no ones way. I was there no longer than 3 minutes and one of the managers (I think. Older short lady) came over to me and told me "I need you to leave." In the rudest way pos
I just want to say that the staff at Grifols DeLand are amazing. I also want to add that Carl is absolutely amazing he is very friendly and funny and definitely knows what he is doing to make people relax and feel welcome.
I recently started plasma donations at Biomat USA in Deland. All of the staff is kind and helpful, especially Shane, the intake specialist. He made my first appointment seamless. He was friendly, informative and efficient. Highly recommended!
I had an issue this morning with my medical paperwork. Harold, the Operations Manager, handled my call. We got off to a bumpy start based mostly on my frustration. Harold handled the issue AND ME professionally and with consideration. He said it was his goal to do everything possible for me to be able to donate Anyone can do a great job when everything is hunky dory. It takes a pro to make things right when they are not! Thank you, Harold!
Needing extra money for a bill??I recommend coming in and help save lives. You get compensated for your time. The staff at this location are very friendly, polite and do their job well. They also offer extra incentives each month. Come in and check them out, you wont leave disappointed just a little bit richer!! Christopher Richey
I'm leaving a 1-star review due to the misleading information on their website and from their staff regarding appointments for first time donors. Their website states no appointments are necessary. I was referred by someone that donates at this location regularly and they confirmed with the front desk just this week that no appointments are made for first time donors. I arrive today at 10am and the first thing they ask me is if I had an appointment. I tell them ?per your website and confirmation from your s
This place was a nightmare. I didn't donate but I watched as people did. People had black and blue marks. More people was denied then took back.. the employees are absolutely useless.. one employee stated loudly "I DON'T WANNA BE HERE" if that doesn't make you feel welcome I don't know what does... The people sticking you are not even phlebotomist that why they have so many black and blues and so many needles rejecting me...I call it the stab lab
So I donated here on Tuesday they were under staffed and only had 2 people working in the back one I know has been here for a long time the other was a new girl she seemed to be freaking out cause it was busy she was the one that hooked me up to the machine and ultimately the needle stick was incorrect causing bruise I come back today the bruise was slightly still there but I was told I cannot donate this is my second wasted trip in less than a week because the day prior toTuesday I called and talked someon
After driving an hour to get here for my first visit for my 4 pm appt. After 5 o'clock rolled around they tell me and my son a lie about our veins not being good enough to donate. It was quite obvious they just wanted to go home. They knew the day they made the appointment that it takes 2 hours to process your first visit so for them to set me up for failure was total BS! I really needed the money for Christmas and to cover the gas I just wasted. I've donated at other places countless times with no problem
Terrible in my opinion. I've been deferred for 12 months because I was in jail for more than 3 CONSECUTIVE days. But I've watch more and more junkies walk in and be accepted, as well as people who have been in jail, they just didn't spend more than 3 days there, so that makes it ok. I won't be donating here again at all, and I definitely won't be sending anyone else I know here. I was more than happy to donate here again, but my opinion has definitely changed.
Most amazing staff very friendly and clean. I always have a great experience. Always a fun time they treat you like family. Highly recommended going
Staff are friendly & helpful. When my iron is low they encourage me to eat high iron enriched foods other than liver which I don't like. It's nice to know you can contribute to helping save a life
Aramanda VERY RUDE ! I was 4 minutes early and she was upset that I started early, then she started talking about me out loud in front of others rudly about me never has anyone been rude here before, everyone here is nice. SHES ALWAYS LIKE THIS Very sad for business
When i first came here it all seemed great. Appointment setting to avoid lines is great but its too bad youre still going to be waiting a half hour after your appointment so no real point in them. Those times feel more like guidelines now. The people seemed nice in fact most of them were but recently all i see are new faces that dont handle donors the way the old ones did so i rarley see a reason to come here other then the higher pay if im lucky enough to get to donate. Everytime for the month its been iss
Very great staff only donated 3 times but love them. Every time I walk in everyone is so kind, place is so clean & everyone does a GREAT JOB at there job. Love this place & the work they do!!!! ???
Center is clean and front desk staff are friendly and professional. Then you hit the donor floor in back. Still clean and pleasantly lit, but the staff back here is a range of decent to amateur. My last experience was quite pleasant until the very last moment, when the tech came to withdraw the IV. She literally yanked the line out and I experienced what felt like an electrical shock shoot down my arm all the way to my fingertips. What made it worse is she IMMEDIATELY blamed the tech who inserted the ne
It's a fun and nice place. The ppl there are very friendly.
You guys are AMAZING! Day in and day out, the staff, Sandy, Carlos, and everyone there always shines. You guys are a huge blessing, even the donors, Fawn, Kimbo and others I meet, because of the staff's positive energy, find ourselves relaxed enough to converse while we pass the time. May God bless all the hard working medical staff of Grifols DeLand??
Very nice staff. Clean facility with an even better staff to go alongside with it. Great conversations and overall best experience I've ever had since i started donating plasma. Ask for john,ms.tan, cece etc. They're all great.
First timer herrree! The staff were Very polite ,understanding, caring nothing bad i can say! They were awesome with making me comfortable as well as educating me on just how important my donation is . Thibgs i fidnt know before coming :) i will be coming back.
I come here twice weekly for donations to help out. Friendly staff and wonderful people in here all the time
Amazing and funny staff. Customer Service is impeccable. Great environment for what they are there for. High paying as well. Come by say Jesus Rolon jr refferred ya I'll pay you $20 on second visit just for saying I referred you.
I really enjoy coming here to donate. The staff is wonderful and the facility is very clean. I would recomend everyone please come. You are helping people stay alive and you receive money for your help. It's a win win!
This is the worst place to donate plasma do not go there to donate. The staff is under qualified, act like the donation center is a play ground. N?t taking job seriously. People with appointments I feel bad for them sitting waiting 3 hours and only watch video and paperwork. What is the sense of making an appointment. Staff rude slow and needs to go back to school!
We have been donating plasma for years. We left CSL in West Palm area for reasons similar to what we are experiencing now two years after donating at Biomat Deland. After I have read many reviews while I wait to see if my husband's bloodwork screening gets fixed. I am so upset about our treatment Sunday the 18th. I wont go into detail as the center's management know exactly what occurred. This has been one of the worst weeks with my struggles with PTSD. Donating 2 times a week has really helped me spiritu
Despite all of the negative reviews ive read..this place is extremely professional, the process is as quick as it can possibly be. The constant confirmation of full name and last 4 can be annoying but very small compared to the service they provide. I have been donating-at different places for years and never have I been in and out of a place as quick as biomat. Enjoy your visit
The center is clean and the staff is welcoming. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because some of the staff that is responsible for putting the needle in your arm need some additional training. The first time was quick and painless and left no mark at all in my arm. My second time there the girl started my needle and within a short period of time, I was bleeding from the needle site. They had to remove the needle from that arm and placed the needle in my other arm. When they stuck me the second time they
I honestly don't know where to start!! I have never been so pleased, excited and treated with so much professionalism in one place in my life. The staff is amazing and filled with character from the front desk to the processors in th back. The new process with setting appointments online is super convenient for donors like myself with hectic schedules. Daisy in the front always greets with a smile and calls you by name which immediately makes me feel welcomed as a person and not just a donor. I know donors
I have been donating at DeLand Biomat, since August of last year. I just so happened to overhear one of my patients speaking about the facility, and decided to try it out. The intake process was lengthy, but you should expect that, since your plasma is going to be going to another human being. Also, the intake process was not as bad as some of the reviews on here. Basically, it is a longer physical, by a professional healthcare worker (Tom was mine. He is AMAZING, by the way.). Subsequent visits are schedul
Can't get a clear answer on donation requirements. Wife went to donate and was told no due to surgery. Then was called back and told she could donate. Drove down and was rejected. Told to come back in a few months. Waited a few months and called again. Specifically asked to review her file and was told she was cleared to donate. Drove down and was rejected. So overall she has wasted two hours of her time and a tank of gas because no one can give her a straight answer. Would not recommend.
Waited 3 hours for my physical only to be thrown a test in the examination room (wasn't told it was a test) with no explanation and then denied the ability to donate because I asked the guy to clarify the wording of a question. Update: 3 years later. I figured that the management had changed and maybe they would be better somehow. WRONG!!!! Came in yesterday made an appt. for 4:00. Today they had me fill out everything again, 3 different people checked my vein for suitability, they lost my old file, restar
Great staff, always friendly. A lot cleaner with a better atmosphere than other plasma centers. Never had a bad experience. Never a long wait time which is the best thing u can ask for.
Grifols is a pretty awesome place. The staff is amazing, so patient and kind. The center itself is incredibly clean and organized. Just a all around good experience.
Clean and well kept up. They pick clients carefully to provide a comfortable environment. No issues with techs, in and out within an hour on most visits
The staff here is amazing. Always a smile on everyones face. The staff will stick with you if your nervous especially on your fist time.
Such great service, they make me feel very comfortable. They're very friendly, i would refer everyone to come join the fun of helping save lives!!??????
I have gone to CSL and here, so I have something to compare it to. The money is better here but it's frustrating to have to set appointments up. Also everything is done on paper, which makes the process a little slower. Another disadvantage is the machines don't get set up until you are in the donor chair. Another thing I don't like is the cuff pressure is entirely too high/tight and the entire donation is uncomfortable. It's like that during every single donation. I donated at Csl twice a week every week f
I just recently been coming here. Everyone really nice and make it a fun time while you are waiting. Everyone real helpful They have fun games sometimes keep you busy while you are waiting to donate
Love that I can set appointments. It allows me to be in and out without interfering with my work schedule. The staff are always nice and quick to help.
Untill today I have had a great experience at grifols been donating since 2018 I made at 3:45 appoiment and I had to stop and get gas due to the fact that wawa was packed I was late to my appointment I parked my car and ran to the door at 4:00 as I am running I see a staff member locking the door a yell ... He perseed towalk back into building so I knock on the door they staff inside ignore me .... So I call and I finally get some one at 4 :15 or so she says they have a 10 min grace period ... And then
If you're going to advertise that you're paying $50 per donation every donation for a month, YOU NEED TO PAY THE DONOR $50!!! NO EXCUSES!! THATS DIRTY POOL AND IT WILL COST YOU DONORS. At least 3 I know of will not go back to grifols and have decided instead to go to CSL. It doesnt matter how clean or friendly the staff is people go there for the money because they need it if you lie about that it completely negates the clean facility and friendly staff.
Good place to earn a little extra money. Staff are friendly and engaging. Phlebotomist Tan and Keyana are SPLENDIFOROUS!! Would recommend using this donation center over all others. Better compensation and the best staff.
I made so many excuses for not coming into grifols but it was seriouslyone other the most relaxing and laid back experiences and the staff were all so helpful and informative. Very cl an and quiet building as well. I will definitely be a repeat donor.
Staff is very friendly. I recommend everyone that needs a little extra cash to come here. Keep up the great work.
Was just there and told could not donate for having a tattoo in the last 6 months which is ok I understand, but if it was longer than a year I could. Then was told I had an odor which was from sweating since was walking in the heat would not be able to donate I know they knew before going thru part of the process they should of said it up front that way neither of us wanted time. Just think it was rude on their part. Do plan to visit again
Coming here is def a help with extra cash. Helps take care of small things such as gas. Staff are helpful & efficient. It's in & out. I like how u can set appointments
Staff is constantly rude and condescending on multiple occasions. Zero understanding nor patience. Staff attitude and environment are the reasons this location fails to retain long term return donors.
I have been here 3 times. Each time the staft screwed up my arm, once stabbing the needle all the way through my vein & causing massive bruising & swelling. Further, I have had problems at multiple stores, including Wal Mart, that said their payment card is not valid. Don't go here.
This place is very unprofressional and the staff are inexperienced. This office just lost a committed donor. I know many people whom i recommended leave this office with ice packs attatched to their arms. Today my boyfriend donated and they messed up the tubes and he wasnt able to donate. The office denied his full funds and gave him half! MY FRIEND DONATED AND SHE TOLD THEM SHE FELT SICK AND THEY GAVE HER THE FULL REFUND! MEANWHILE FOR THEIR MISTAKES THEY COULDNT GIVE MY BOYFRIEND A FULL REFUND. Also the M
Very distracted staff, they complain about having to do their job and took too long doing other stuff before wrapping my arm causing me to bleed through gauze. Super unprofessional and slow
In and out within 1.5 hours max. Staff is always upbeat, never a dull moment when donating. Compensation for your time is worth it. They really care for people here.
Lady at the front desk is very very rude with a nasty attitude try to learn how to be a little bit more professional will never go here ever again. GHETTO.. Immunotek in port Orange is WAY BETTER.
This place is super fast and friendly! I was sooo scared and they made me feel so comfortable. I definitely recommend this place to any and every one! #savinglives
Be careful the pay doesn't mean a thing if they try to ruin your life. I was told I showed antigen for Hep B.Which, I knew was totally wrong. But it still makes you feel like a Leopar. And to have some moron give u wrong information on your missed diagnosis.Thank God, I have friends in the Medical Field who proved these idiots wrong. If I can help one person it's worth the bad experience. Please,do not go here.I also, almost had blood spilled on me and hearing the gossip on the floor is very unprofessional. But
I went to Biomat Deland 2 weeks ago to become a new donor. After being told that i would be compensated for my time they gave me a cup to provide a urine annalisis to screen me for drugs. I happily complied with their request. Im 60 years old so imagine my surprise when they pulled me into a private room to tell me that I tested positive for COCAINE! I have never used cocaine in my life. They asked me if I had drank any energy drinks lately and I happily told them the truth: No. I dont drink the stuff. So t
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
