Terrible service! Hire people who care and don't mind WORKING! Stop wasting people's time! If you had a little bit of common sense you would realize job security is good customer service. I'm shocked you're still in operation you fail over and over and over again!
Marina* not my husband Joseph lol. I've been coming here almost a year and I truly never can complain. Even though there are always new nurses, they do a great job. When there are call offs these nurses hustle like no tomorrow. Kayla, Corey, and Melina are outstanding at what they do. I have a super weird vein and they stick me with ease everytime with no pain. A new girl whom I don't know the name of came in to donate and clocked in early to help out as they were short staffed. What amazing work ethic! The
Absolutely terrible service. Came in as a new donor, did not receive instructions at all on how to check in. no person at the front desk to ask for guidance. it's a shame you got the worst screener who don't know how to talk to people and feel the need to yell instead of do their job. also dont have a sign saying ?appointments only today? and then when someone comes in for an appointment, they aren't taken after waiting for over 20 min
Comfortable waiting area with employees who are always cheerful and inviting. Special mention to Yadira for giving advice to make the needle less un uncomfortable. Been to other centers and Grifols is by far the most respectful and relaxing.
This center has gone down hill. When i first started years ago, staff were officiantly getting donors in & out, running around & NEVER standing around chatting or checking their phones. NOW, staff are lazy & moping around doing absolutely nothing yet donors are waiting HOURS. On average I'm here 2.5 hours. Staff might be getting paid hourly but donors are getting on average a crumy $55. Managment doesn't care, I've complained multiple times & nothing changes. Staff sit in the middle chatting & on their phon
Every time i am here to donate where there are a small number of donors, the staff spends nearly 20 minutes talking between screening. I was sitting for nearly half an hour before anyone called me for screening. I count a total of 11 open machines, 7 people waiting for screening, and 3 staff talking about their personal lives in the screening area.
Absolutely painfully understaffed, and the answering machine provides incorrect information. I will not be returning. EDIT: AND I had some lady here go off on my on some political rant about trans people when I was here a while ago. Gross.
I'm given a one star for many reasons . Very unorganized , staff stands around chatting instead of sticking people or screening people. Some of the staff are rude but the rudest is charity Beth they need to get rid of her she very rude and ignorant.
What a joke this place is. Don't expect to be screened by your ?appointment time?. On average you will be screened 45 to an hour after your ?appointment time?. Ridiculous. On top of that, if you sign up for a tetanus program it will be about a month and half before you see an increase in your donation compensation but no one tells you that when you agree to the shot. The only way to alleviate the ridiculous wait times is for them to accept fewer donors in a times slot and TO GET MORE WORKERS. Also, your who
The Russian lady in the back last year poked me in my right arm and injured me. It's been over a year and I still can't pick up heavy things she hurt me bad and for what looks like a lifetime. Be warned.
I have been donating at the Dickson City location for over a couple months now, every time I go the staff are friendly, always joking and have excellent customer service. They handle emergencies quickly and with care, while ensuring that I am safe and getting through my fluids properly. Time can be lengthy on days they're busy, but that's the same with all businesses. Compensation is always rewarded even if you have a bad day, and facilities are clean.
Staff is exceptional! My only problem is the money being lowered. I feel we should be getting paid more not less. After having not been here since last summer I was devastated to learn about the lower money amount, and don't think the money is worth my time or effort anymore .
The staff here are great I beeb coming here since 2014 and I have nothing but good to say. Charity is awesome at her job as well as her people skills. Kayla is a sweet heart who as well is great at her Job .Margarita Is one of the top dogs and she is great .Melissa Is another veteran at this place and she is also a great staff member .Misty is new to the staff but fits right in being she so great as a person and at her job.Amy is another awesome person here as well always can share a good laugh with her. Re
I was very nervous coming in, I don't like needles and to be honest I'm a nervous person to begin with. When I first entered I was greeted by Margarita, she was friendly and guided me through the intake process, i was later given a physical exam with Amy who was also super friendly. Then Misty who was my phlebotomist, she was also nice and friendly and guided me step by step on the process and how the machine worked and she kept checking in to make sure that i was ok. The process was fast, and easy everyon
After not being here for 6 years they same I'm not a new donor, but a return new donor. They made me go through the whole process a new donor would, but want to compensate me as a return donor. The lady up front was rude. I would never recommend anyone to go here and I would never donate here. I wasted a trip up here being mislead over the phone. CSL has been a much better place and I'd recommend them over this place any day.
The staff here is Amazing, very helpful and knowledgeable. Katrina, Misty, Kayla and many more. Great atmosphere. Also Charity, Melissa and Steve. Also I can't forget the screening staff. All staff are great at what they do.
I have been donating here for a couple months now. They have made me feel comfortable and relaxed during my donation process. The whole staff is friendly and welcoming on every donation.
For personal reasons, I use a different name online. My name is Dave Gower, and I'm a frequent donor. The facility is always clean, with friendly, attentive staff. Misty, Amy, Leanne, and Kayla are my personal favorites to see when I come here. They're always prompt, sweet, and good for a conversation and a laugh. Thanks, ladies!!
It's a horrible experience as far as waiting time. Even when it's clear in the lobby and barley anyone there it's still a wait to even get to the donation. Then once you back there you still have to wait to get stuck. This is the slowest center I've ever went to. And the compensation makes it feel like a complete waste of time. And from this review the owner will comment and say sorry for your inconvenience blah blah but nothing will change. Staff just walks by nothing is ever happening. Horrible place. I
This place has made me never want to donate ever again in life. The experience is the worst. And it's bad enough you guys are giving us chump change for our donations when really you're making way more money off of it but say your saving lives. Literally dropped base pay to 40$. And you have to come back the same week to make 85$.Overall the experience is not worth it. Definitely not here at least. It's all about money and it's not going to donors. The wait is so bad that I'll never come back. Over a hour t
Edit as of May 9, 2024: The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and compared to the other locations in the Scranton/WB area, this location is my favorite. Use the app to do your screening questions as this will save you a lot of time once you get on site. Service has been better as of late and their new seating system seems to have streamlined the process. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable Maybe it's just the time of day that I go, but service has been quicker than in the past.
The people that work there are wonderful. Yes sometimes you have a wait time, but knowing you are helping others makes it worth it. I will bet those who complain are still going there because you know I am telling the truth you just like to complain.
Wait times increased to over an hour and compensation keeps dropping. It is becoming a waste of my time here. Looking elsewhere. Returned yesterday and people leaving and cursing because they wasted an evening waiting so long. Always short staffed & the staff that is working hangs out chatting with coworkers. Waited 35 min to get screened then 1 hour to donate. But hey we're saving lives, lol Returned again this week and nothing has changed. Staff always says it's because they are short handed. No one care
Staff was friendly and I felt like I was in good hands. Went to CSL in Scranton before this, but Grifol has a much cleaner and better environment.
I was there for my first time on a Sunday. Small crew working. Everyone was polite except this one employee. She was extremely disrespectful towards a Co worker who had an accent. She was mocking her, and telling her how silly she sounds. The woman took it in stride. Like most people in this situation would do. I wish I would have spoke up while I was there but didn't want to make the situation any more uncomfortable for the worker. That type of ignorance should not be tolerated. Will not recommend.
Had a pretty good experience my first time , just trying to offset Christmas costs so I decided why not . The second time was last Saturday . A different phlebotomist stuck me and she was confident in using my left arm. After sticking me and starting the process the first return my arm swelled up pretty bad and it was a bit painful . I let them know and the phlebotomist who did my first donation took the needle out and did my right arm instead. The phlebotomist who messed up apologized several times and I w
Clean Realy friendly staff first 4 time they pay you 125 dollars
I had a scheduled appointment at Biomat in Dickson City ( Sunday) and was running a little late so out of courtesy I called to let them know. The receptionist said I had a 15 minute window to get there to donate and then a woman in the background said that if I couldn't be on time that I would have to reschedule. I asked the receptionist if there was a later opening that I could come down and was told they were booked solid. I have never been treated like this before. This would have been my first appointme
I have been donating at this center for a number of years and arrived to donate at 9:50 am as usual. I was told that appointments were now required. I said that I had not donated in about a month and wasn't aware of this. They stated it is the practice now (for the last 3 weeks). I told them I was not notified of this either by text or email.... staff rudely said, "once again corporate changed the donating procedure without notifying the donors and you need an appointment." I was told the earliest I cou
I super love the rewarding feeling of helping people in need. For those who left negative comments about the pay- they clearly tell you about it during your first visit. They will also give you a print out of the payment schedule. The staff is lovely and fun. Clean environment. I look forward to my trips up there to donate. My only complaint is that it's an hour drive away.
Misty is AMAZING! Always a great conversation, fast and gentle with the stick. She's like your own personal Meridith grey ;)
My experience was a 10/10 yes some days it's more busy then other days but I appreciate that they are working hard it's not their fault that they are so busy, phlebotomy is hard work give them time, cut them some slack !!
I've been coming here since 2014, only place I've ever donated. Great staff and great atmosphere. Smiles everywhere, never want to donate anywhere else but here.
I've been donating for several yrs now. I've always enjoyed my experience. But what I am not understanding is why I'm making appointments to donate and walk ins are still being allowed during Covid, which puts the center at legal capacity . Which means My wait time with an appointment is twice as long on some days! Through no fault of staff ! But full compacity! This is not only unfair to those donors that make an appointment but also to the staff that is working diligently to keep donors safe and pro
Staff is not very polite. Some are, but some of them aren't very comforting, especially if you're nervous in the beginning due to the process, they're pretty rude
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are keeping all donors sperated by am empty bed for social distancing and have lowered and spaced out the waiting area chairs also. They also do temperature checks at the door before you can enter and require you to sanitize upon entry before and after using the computers. It's been very reassuring through the pandemic that it's safe to donate still.
I would have to say this is one of the worst experiences I've had at a donation center. Outdated machines I felt like I was getting an electric shock Because the needle wasn't in all the way at times never experienced that before. Wait times we're very long. The people Who stick you and draw the plasma Haven't been trained very well And because they are so short staffed Over worked They are making mistakes. The last time I was there I watched this lady Go around and everybody that she stuckThey had a pro
This place used to move so smoothly. I would be in and out in 1.5 hours MAX. Now, I go with my boyfriend, and he spends MINIMUM TWO HOURS here. Absolutely ridiculous. The employees stand around talking while 10+ people are waiting to be stuck. So unfortunate because we try to fit this into our schedule because we love doing it, but it's impossible when I spend so much time here now.
Though the staff are nice they tend to do everything besides get you in and out like 95% of the people are trying to do and half them disappear. Time is are most valuable asset. But why would they care they get paid by the hour
I have donated at this location when it was biotest and I currently donate at a different plasma center. I decided to check out the new place and got nothing but attitude from the second I walked in. I figured people have bad days so it's okay, I'll just get through the new donor process and donate another time. Then I was told I needed to have my medication cleared by my doctor (no opiates or anything that should have stopped me from donating) so I brought the paper to my doctor and had it faxed back to t
Spent an hour doing intake stuff, turns out medical Marijuana users don't qualify. Wish they would disclose that before wasting everyone's time.
Absolutely a garbage place. I donated here for years, took some time off for a knee injury, came back to donate again. And because someone didn't write the correct amount of piecings down. There is now a discrepancy that keeps me from donating and helping people, and somehow my signature does not match my actual signature. Not to mention they wasted two hours of my time for absolutely nothing. Due to the rudeness and unprofessional attitude I completely see why people are coming less and less. I don't recom
You would think at 10 am after being open for 2 hours someone would answer the phone. (Nope that didn't happen)..You would think after calling 3 times I would get someone.. ( um no no nope uh-uh nope) Why answer your phones when u get paid to walk around and talk all day ? Guess I'll go somewhere that I can get a hold of a person that cares about true business educate. Oh last thing get someone to answers your phone calls.. especially if your business is relying on customers.. Smh
Really great employees in the booth and on the floor. They deserve more recognition and thanks from management. Keep your experienced staff happy because they're half the reason people like me donate.
I had a pinch in my arm so I asked for help. It felt like the lady with blond hair and glasses young took the needle out the jabbed it back into my arm it hurt so bad after that when my blood was meant to go back in my body I started leaking blood out of my arm and all they wanted to know is if I was still gonna donate?.act like you care about the people who come in and like it just a regular 9-5 that you're just trying to get through. You are people but we are people too. Putting in the real sacrifice. Som
Staff is terrific both through the screening process and on the floor. I've been going here 2x a week since 2019!
Always good experience for me. All the employees are always polite and respectful. Always there to answer any questions or concerns.
Been going to this place for 2 years now. Staff is absolutely amazing and friendly, procedures are well explained. Overall absolutely love Grifols Plasma ????
DO NOT GO HERE . THE WOMAN IN THE FRONT DESK (THE FAT ONE) IS VERY ENTITLED AND RUDE. NOT ONLY DO THEY NOT DO THEIR JOB ACCORDINGLY. THEY ALSO DO NOT KEEP RECORDS OF WHO GOES IN AS NEW DONORS WITH IMPORTANT INFORMATION THEY NEED TO KEEP. KEDPLASMA, CSL, OR POSITIVE B WILL ALWAYS BE A BETTER OPTION.
Everyone is always nice and friendly. The facility is always kept clean and wiped down regularly. The only thing I can complain about is that they ask if I'm ok every time they stick me with a needle...I'm fine other than a needle in my arm..
Love this place !! Love the staff!! Brenda is my favorite receptionist, Kayla is my favorite sticker, but everyone is amazing. From Leanne, to Steph in processing. U guys r awesome. Thank you.
Clean and relatively new facility. Appointments highly recommended. First time donors can expect a long check in process ( best to call to make appointment and to get idea on the amount of time you will need to set aside for first visit). On subsequent visits, check in process takes about 15 minutes with appointment (without an appointment a much longer wait time is to be expected). After check in, donation process averages 45 minutes to over an hour ( varies from person to person ). Compensation varies dep
This is probably the worst bio plasma place i have been in. With the amount of staff present there should be no reason that you're laying there waiting to be hooked up for over an hr. Last week i sat there nearly 30 mins waiting to be unstuck when i finished. Maybe if the staff would close their mouths and do some work waits wouldnt be that long
This place has gotten worse since i began coming here. The employees are slow and dont care that people are waiting. And now they lowered the amount of money they pay us. Im looking for a different place to donate dont waste your time here.
Nobody here wants to do there job. I have been coming here for over 4 years and yesterday was my last day. I can't believe they all don't get fired. wE DoNt HaVE EnOUgH STaFf!!!! You won't need 30 ppl if y'all did your job!
By far the best experience at a plasma center. Employees were friendly, helpful and concerned for my wellbeing. After my terrible experience at interstate (wilkes-barre) I am happy to find a location that cares about the people coming to donate. Location was extremely clean, organized, and helped people that were waiting longer then normal. Again friendly, helpful and concerned for my wellbeing. Will keep coming back!
The first time going takes hours. It took about 3 hrs just to get to their physical, and then I had to sit through the physical and donate. So when it's your first time going expect to be there for a long time. Other than that the actual donating process wasn't too bad.
Was here with a friend and asked to leave the building because I was not donating but waiting for my friend who was in the back donating no signs or anything saying you can't wait in the building for someone so think it was rude to kick someone out waiting on someone else that is donating
The staff is rude..They think everyone that comes there is a addict .. But they messed with the wrong guy..I was able to film my experience at the front desk ..They will be famous soon..I have over 100.000 followers on social media I'm sure the public will love to hear all the racial slurs that were said to me ..Good luck So glad I don't need these people
Love love love this place ! My general doctor of two years doesn't treat me as welcoming as they do. Literally they are like a real family to me!!!! I love Jason , he is like the big brother i never had. We both are from the south and can understand each others lingo. and my most favorite bully ever ZED!!! she makes my day omg! Let's not forget the touch of an angel MELISSA!!! Bill is always so so caring and patience with me , even when I act like a big baby and cry about how much I hate saline lol . People
This is by far the worst donation center went there 4 times to be led on to come back for them to check and say they couldn't find my veins but when I give blood the doctors find it easily the nurse at yhe front is the rudest off all they raise there voice if you ask a general question. They took plasma on 1st visit but from then on they just try to get you out the door. If I could give them 0 stars I would they don't care about there donors. Don't go here
My name is Robert George I give these hard working people a five star today because they have earn it they have been so good to me and my family we love donating at the Dickson city plasma center if you love to donate plasma grifol in Dickson City pa is where to go they have loveable staff that works there
This was my first time donating plasma in about a month. I had received a text that said if I came in, I would receive a $100 bonus. I went in, excited to get this bonus. I went through the questionnaire, then was called to one of the private booths. The lady had me jump on the scale and said ?wow, you've lost a lot of weight since last time you were here.? I then went on to donate plasma, and then as I was coming to the end of the donation, I had looked up and realized that they were taking 825ml of plasm
Got an msg saying visits will be more quicker and already been sitting here an hour with certain workers just standing around taking there time instead of the steady work it use to be. Employee?s getting lazy
Did not get a chance to donate. I was told that I am not eligible as a diabetic. I told the staff person that i have donated in the past because I do not use insulin, I use metformin. The staffer squirmed a bit and made reference to this being a depressed area and that people risk their health for a few dollars. " the process strips your meds away and would leave you vulnerable." Very disappointed and felt like I was lied to.
After the initial visit. Your done in an hour. Staff are great. Money is decent, and it helps people that have cancer and certain infections. All and all its easy it's easy money and u help people.
This is Carlos Williams I've been coming here a couple of years. There's a very good staff here. They're helpful down to earth and compassionate.
Worst employees around. They don't make you feel like you should donate and wonder why someone?s blood pressure would be slightly above normal. Maybe they should start having slightly more personalities.
Facility is clean and staff is very professional. It was my first time donating. Darren was my phlebotomist and made me feel very comfortable and had a good sense of humor!
If you have work permit don't even go there because they don't take work permit and social security. They make you wait 3 hours. They don't even check the documents first. The overweight women are very lazy.
So how much per visit/donation do they give u money wise? i've heard mixed answers anywhere between and from 20 dollars up to 50 dollars per visit/donation? Just curious. I am a red cross member and donate blood but would like to do more and the extra money would be a huge help. I went here once b4 but couldn't donate because of some meds i was taking at the time, but the people who work there were nice and the place seemed clean.
The staff is great but don't bother making an appointment online. They don't honor it at all. I make appointments and still end up sitting and waiting to be called up for a half hour 45 minutes.
After the initial 3-4 hour donation, it's an easy 90 minutes or less...the staff is great, too. Professional and friendly. I actually enjoy going there.
The staff here is very friendly and kind. They make you feel like family
Clean, every one is cool, but they take forever for every thing I went one day only 8 people and 5 workers every one else is already plugged in and no one was finished with there machine I still had a wait, I had to wait until they started disconnecting other people and I had to wait longer, if you there make sure your schedule is clear they take way to long, they pay good tho
Very Hospitable Place And The Staff Is Very Kind And Well Spoken. Katrina is really nice
People are unprofessional and rude. Make sure you get in writing what they promise you. Wilkes barre has a donation center that pays better if your able go there instead.
This place is just as bad as the Wilkes-Barre location! You aren't important to these ppl and your time will feel wasted spending 4hours donating plasma this place makes me not want to donate plasma anymore!
Poor communication between staff members. You get told one thing by one staff member then you get told something completely different from another. My trust in this place is long gone now. Either fix this communication problem or continue losing donors.
Staff are all very pleasant! Initial process sucks but its easy money and you get to help someone in the long run!
They turned into like one those massage parlors now theyrre workers pick up the customers so they DNT only poke u with needles they'll do after work to just ask for Natasha
Great staff always nice and they actually remember your name
We love it! Me and my best friend (Lesly Johnson) absolutely enjoy coming and have a gteat time doing so!!
Lack of staff daily, poor payout rate, and ignorant staff. Avoid.
Yall need to get it back right up there it Falling apartFalling apart I know A lot of good people left but it already bad fr You're not busy like y'all used
The worst place to go to no one knows anything staff is lazy and slow . Dont bother calling they won't answer . LITERALLY THE WORST LOCATION LAZY STAFF
A good place to do good (and earm a little spending money). Be prepared to wait though. Staff is friendly too
Staff was demeaning and insulting. It was so bad i didnt even donate after talking to them for 15 seconds
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
