Best place to donate plasma around the area. Staff are always willing to put in the extra effort to assist. Follow the guidelines and things will be fine. Use "Luong Phan" as your first-time referral for bonus

Absolute hit or miss with this place. Staff is mostly friendly, but competence is a huge issue. Much of the staff has good experience and knows what they're doing, but I fear that the training for new employees is lackluster. I've gone in there before and had an incredibly smooth and fast experience. I've gone in there other days and had the opposite. Issues with a bad stick, long waits despite minimal donors, improper wrapping of the needle site resulting in blood spilling out of the wrapping, and I've ev

Went to try and donate all because I couldn't think of my medication name. They told me I wasn't eligible to donate and that I had to go get something for my doctor when I literally pulled it up on my phone. You wanna waste your time you wanna go through a bunch of bullshit when you're just trying to get paid so that you can get Bill feed yourself Or whatever it is etc. go here waste your time perfect place

Today's date is 4/19/2025 i finished my plasma donation at around 2:45 and ten minutes before I was to get unhooked, I got accused of staring off into space because I was just bored looking at the ceiling. She could have been more polite and just asked me, "are you feeling alright". Just came off a little rude and judgmental.

Employees, who are about to stick a needle in you, are openly talking about partying until 2am and how they are tired and don't feel well. Update: hung over employees are gone but now with the new company protocol it takes well OVER 20 plus minutes to get hooked up for donation. If you value your time you may want to move on.

My first time there was wonderful! I felt very informed about the process itself and the program as a whole. I think a lot of negative reviews are coming from people who simply did not pay attention to the deferral rules, as I remember all of the reasons in their reviews being explained clearly multiple times. My phlebotomist was very sure handed, focused, and committed to making my first time seamless, especially for her being new. Ashley, the woman who did my first time donor assessment, was extremely hel

Friendly staff, in and out. Easy money yall I love to give so knowing I'm helping a life Is the best gift to give P.s hey steve thanks for the bonus your awesome The staff is fun they talk to you and care That's good customer acquisitions Definitely being a regular here Thanks guys 4 making it comfortable Corporate heads This grifols in erie west 26th Have good working employees If there name is mentioned in a review They need a bonus 10 or 25 Bc it's their faces that make this place friendly Not u guys in

The vast majority of the staff are friendly and professional. They have gotten more efficient so I usually have little to no wait. Gwen is the MVP for sure and deserves a raise.

Erie Biomat has been a blessing for me over past year! Being able to help other people while providing a much needed extra income for necessities in life. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, personable and makes everyone feel like part of a family. I donate twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays and look forward to my visits knowing we are making a difference somewhere in somebody?s life. Thank you Erie Biomat Staff!

I was pleased at first going to grifols, then they turned me into a pin cushion stabbing through my veins in both arms multiple times. Then when I walked across the street to smoke a cigarette they told me I was deferred for smoking after donating. They say they hold themselves to a higher standard than 18th, but the only thing I saw was stuck up children who loved nothing more than to tell people what to do, even after they left the property. I asked on the phone if I was going to be deferred and they told

Always a smooth and nice experience with the great employees here. Make sure you drink plenty of water the day before and day of? makes it go faster.

Such a fabulous place to come and donate plasma, everyone is very kind and a joy to talk to! Love coming here two times a week to help others out in need and to make a little cash as well!!!

It was my first time donating plasma. The staff was very friendly, and made me fee comfortable, and the process didn't take very long. Will most definitely be back!

If I could, I would give this place a no star review, but I can't do that. They took forever to get me in and then their machines were not working correctly. I would not go there and not suggest his place to anyone.

I just want to say that Erica and Leaha are very nice in your business and they always take very good care of me and make me feel very welcome while I'm there. They know what there doing and I've seen when someone isn't sure about things they go and ask them and they come over right away to tell them what is going on. I feel them 2 lady's deserve a raise and recognition.

This place has the most rudest staff! I went three times and every time all you here out of everyone?s mouth is how they can't wait to get out there! Lo three times I have went, I have been body shamed! This place is something but rude, unprofessional, body shaming place, all they want is for their shift to be over. Very unpleasant. The last time I went every person I came across was rude and in a horrible mood. Just a heads up everyone. Also when you get payed with the card they give you, it charges you 0.

Donating plasma is a win win! Your helping folks out while getting a little spending money on the side. Eating right and staying hydrated will assure a smooth experience.

I was wanting to donate for awhile & finally did Saturday and did my second donation today. I was really surprised at how easy the process was, and honestly pretty fast (the first donation takes a little longer but they tell you that upfront, and I understand it's so they can get all your info)! and the money is ready right after donating. Everybody who works there is also super friendly & funny, which makes it so much more comfortable.

The Erie PA location is amazing! Each and every staff member has been so accommodating and caring. They are truly great people. They make the process so smooth and easy. Even during the craziness and busyness they are always laughing and stay positive. Thank you all for everything you do!

Super friendly staff. Called ask if they take appointments they told me they do not, I drove an hour out there got there at 1 and was told they where no longer taking walk INS for new patients... Idk if I'll be back don't wanna make another hour drive to not be seen again Went back a second time 10am on a sat was also told they are not taking new people. Gave up on this place

I have been a donor for 3 years. The facility is well maintained and clean. Even before Covid, staff used universal precautions to keep donors safe. Staff are friendly and highly trained. I'm not rating it 5 stars because sometimes wait times can be long. However, the fees paid make up for the wait times and bonuses are common.

Love going in twice a week to make my donations! Always great to see the team members who are always smiling and ready to help! They are always friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions! I have been a donor for almost a year now! I look forward to my visits and the compensation is great too!!

Decent place. I donated my second donation today. They only took 40% of my donation because my machine wasn't pumping through properly, but ya know what things happen and I was still fully complicated regardless. My only real complaint is one staff member. He was rude and short with his co workers and even with some doners. I don't know if the guy was just having a bad day or what. But treating co workers and doners poorly is inexcusable. Hope he's not working when I'm there again.

I spent hours on my "1st New Donor Visit." The "2nd New Donor Visit," wasn't as lengthy. I was told that after my 2nd visit the process would be very quick. Well, I show up today for my 3rd Visit and I was not able to check-in. The check-in screen did not recognize me. When I went to the front desk, I was told that because of a Lab error, I would have to repeat the entire New Donor Process. What? I asked that if it was "their error" and not mine could I receive the New Donor Rate? They told me no. Really? I

I just started donating about 6 weeks ago. The staff is always friendly and professional. They keep people moving through quickly. They make the environment as comfortable as it can be. Thank you for making it an easy process.

My husband and I have been donating plasma here since April 2021. I have never had a bad experience. I've really gotten to know most of the staff since I go pretty regularly and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is nice. Everything is clean and professional. I have no complaints and encourage everyone to help others and donate plasma here.

Visited twice myself, no major issues during the visit. The reason for the 1 star however is their customer service when it comes to answering the phone is quite literally non-existent. I live in meadville, 40 minutes away from the Erie location and can NOT seem to get ahold of anyone for the last 2 days later in the evening in reference to some questions about new donors. Ive tried calling to find out information for my friend to donate as well, however now not only am i not gonna refer him to you, but i w

So I found out about this place on a google search so I went in and the staff was amazing and super nice made me feel at home. Everything was great until I went to have the needle put in. The lady that put the needle in put it in way to deep. It shouldn't hurt when they pull it out because I am a new donor here first time I have donated plasma and at other places didn't have this issue. I hope my second donation isn't like this. Other then that everything else was perfect I loved the staff super nice p

Been donating here for a while. Great staff and very clean environment. They get you in and out and are very attentive to the patients. If you are wanting to donate I highly recommend you go here. 7/17/23 been calling all day for last 2 day no one will pick up phone!!!

If you have already been in the back room waiting for almost 20 minutes the next person that walks in should not be getting stuck before you. Imagine you are sitting at a table in a restaurant for nearly 20 minutes and you don't even have a beverage yet. Another person gets sat at the next table. He gets his drink of choice and put his order in and then your server just greets your table. Shouldn't the rotation be adjusted properly? What would you do?

Great and friendly place, amazing staff fast and very experienced. Great people to be around while passing time :). Keep up the fantastic work. Have been finding for 2 1/2 years and never disappointed and also offer amazing benefits.

Ok so here a short story. I am super terrified of needles ok. Now I do have tattoos bit still bloodwork and tattoos are different lol yall feel me. Anyhow I went there not knowing what to expect and I must say the staff there was very very professional. They treated you more like a human and not just a patient. It was crowded but even then I seen and they also took time to explain things to me very clear. They took all the precautions with me so I imagine they do for everyone. The staff was knowl

Really enjoy the workers here at Grifols! Everyone is always friendly and the wait time is normally minimal. I have been a donor for 3+ years and I enjoy that my donation can help people as well as I can get bills paid off, definitely a win-win!!!

Very friendly atmosphere. Every donation experience has been pleasant and all of the workers are kind. Sara L spent time making sure I was comfortable and made me want to come back!

Great experiences, clean facilty and professional staff. In particular my interactions with Sara have always been positive. She maintains great relationships with patients and her friendly demeanor encourages me to return.

I've considered donating plasma for a few years now and recently decided to go through the process of becoming a donor. I am a nurse and many of my patients rely on plasma donations for life-saving medicine. The financial compensation is only an added bonus, which is actually really good. For my first 3 visits, I have received $100 each donation. I believe the amount will go down once I have donated so many times. The first visit does take a bit longer because you're required to pass a physical and answer v

The procedure was smooth. They processed me professionally and the workers were friendly. The only downside was that the hospital's setting temperature was very cold. I will be back with a sweater.

My husband and I have been donating plasma at the Erie, PA location since April 2021. The facility is clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and sort of become family sine we are regulars. I have never had a bad experience here and have no complaints at all.

I've been donating for about 5months now. I have never had an issue. The staff is amazing and extremely friendly. The only issue is the people that go and donate. They forget they are not the customers. You are not always right. It is a choice no one is making you donate and they pay you. And the bigger picture were saving lives ! So if you have to wait 3 hours to donate.. Sometimes that's the case suck it up you don't have to attend. Trust me they hate the ones that are pains in the ass. I also hate hearin

Wonderful staff! Was told beforehand that as a new donor registering, it would take 3.5 to 5 hrs ( they do let you know the wait time beforehand so it's your choice to stay or not). They got me all checked in in under 3 hours and were very professional and kind. Very impressed, highly recommend especially if you are wanting to make a difference and save someone's life! Will definitely make this a regular.

I have been donating since August 2021, the staff is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly! I've seen them take time to answer questions even at the busiest times. The donor compensation is also very nice, an easy way to save up for things.

I have just started donating at the end of January and I will continue to donate - I wish I would have started sooner. Yes, the initial visit is long and tedious. BUT they are screening you to make sure your a good candidate to even donate your plasma. It is necessary and makes them proficient and professional. The staff I have met so far has been friendly, professional and kind. I just wish they had some sort of name tag so I could identify them more easily. It is a very clean, sterile and comfortable e

They fully explained the entire process very in depth to me to ensure I had a complete understanding of the entire process, including eligibility for returning and everything. I don't really like needles or watching the process of them going into my skin, but the professional staff did a great job keeping me at ease. They're very transparent about everything. It's not a quick process- But they compensate you generously for your time and your contributions can be used for priceless procedures.

I've donated here multiple times in the past 3 months and have always had a great experience. The staff is always friendly & helpful. The facility is super clean & comfortable to be in.

This is such a friendly atmosphere and I enjoy donating here! Not only is the staff friendly, they get you in and out in a timely manner. Great overall experience every time.

If there was 0 stars, that's what I would choose! Don't get me wrong, the people are great! The wait is the issue! I had an appt at 950a, got right on kiosk, then sat and waited 70 minutes to get to the back! Once in back, there were at least 10 people in the chairs and on the beds waiting to be hooked up! While there were 5 employees in the lobby, talking to each other! Your system sucks! There are times during the month that the money comes in handy! But mostly go because I'm doing some

Grifols has a friendly staff, clean environment, and wonderful bonuses! Compared to other donor centers in the area, I believe this one is superior. I'd recommend to anyone wanting to donate, especially if it's your first time. They will take great care of you.

I haven't been donating very long, only since September...I just got a tattoo as a birthday gift from my husband (he knew how much I wanted one). I knew I'd be deferred because of it and when I went in to speak to a staff member, I got the dirtiest look from her. Not sure if I'll be going back.

You get a different answer from each person you talk to. I had a minor surgery done last week and called last night to see if I was good to donate or not, which they verified I was good to go. I get up early to go in this morning to donate and told no I can't donate, that I have to wait another week before donating. They are not on the same page and management needs to be looked at since they are the folks making the decisions. Both employees I spoke with (on the phone and in person) had to check with a sup

First time donating today. Good experience so far! Hopefully I will be able to help people.it has gone well. I am able to donate! The staff has been very friendly. It is busy but it will be worth it in the end to be able to possible save a life!

Grifols is a great place to donate plasma not only for extra income but help save lives! The staff is great, very friendly, and willing to help when needed. Fast service and very professional. Appreciate the added bonuses and always seeing a smiling face :-)

The actual place is just fine. No problems. The problems come with the pay card they give you. Through paysign. It charged me .25 cents for every single transaction i made so they may have given me 150 dollars but i actually only got 83 due to all the fees. They tell you how great the cash back rewards are of you use the credit side of the card bit you get charged extra for that too. Then since you didnt know about all the fee and your card declines you get charged for that too. Its a complete rip off!!

The sign-up and donation process went pretty well. After I donated I developed a small bruise on my arm. When I went back to donate a second time I was informed that I couldn't while I had a noticeable bruise. Ok, I can appreciate they are being careful. The problem started when I went back without the bruise and I was told their doctor had to clear me. Ok, I'll see the doctor. Only thing is the doctor isn't there, probably not till the beginning of the next week. Next week comes, I wait till my first day o

Only some of the staff is courteous and professional. Very few of the technicians are decent phlebotomists, and fewer still take the time to hit the vein properly. Too many technicians don't request help from a more experienced tech until it's too late

Very nice new facility. Clean and open design. Emphasis placed on prior medical conditions in patient, conditions of the visit and what to expect and how the process works and the role you will play in it. 5 stars on this part. In a good part of the city, not like others I have seen that are operating out of old K-Marts or renovated retail space in "up and coming" parts of towns. 5 stars on this part. Front desk staff was knowledgeable, appropriate attired (for medical work), responsive and semi-professio

5 stars is not enough! Friday night I was donating and at the very end I got sick. Tossing cookies(sushi b4 I went there). The lady ran and got a trash can like she was the flash! The gentleman came and took good care of me and was so comforting. They took really good care of me in a dignified way. Thank you everyone for being amazing!

If you bruise easily when having blood drawn, then please don't waste your time. You have to heal fast. They also won't use the other arm, if you are bruised. Facility is clean. Staff are friendly. It does take a fair amount of time for first visit, but don't drive back within the 7 days if you have any remnants of the prior donation visible. You will be deferred. So the incentive is a bit of a gimmick, if you can't heal within the 7 day period. Don't have high expectations for actually meeting their stand

The employees are what make this place, their chemistry on the floor and upfront make me feel at ease. They don't seem to rush through the process to get numbers, they truly care about helping you and getting you out safely.

ALL promotions for June read $125 for new AND returning donors, although after donation they only paid out $100. They explained that it was some kind of "error" about the promotions. My friend told them that is false advertisement, but nothing was done. The error was never fixed and donors were never fully compensated.

For the last month + I've had a positive experience until today... I don't think it's right to lock doors prior to posted hours, unprofessional! Today door was locked 20 min early if the location has a situation all donors should be contacted even if it's via text! Our time is valuable too.

Service sucks, not a donor friendly experience. There is too much BS for me as a donor to have to get through, from having to have my temperature misread at the door 5 times to being rejected after waiting 20 minutes to be screened for insanley trivial reasons. There are some proficient staff.

They're unprofessional an only act right wen important people is there other than that they're no good an they purposely mess up people's stuff so they can't donate its like after 1st shift leaves the unprofessionalism starts an treats people differently from these reviews it sad adults don't know how to be adults wit a job an they play around too much especially when they're dealing with someone's vein an a needle an they lie about the referral of a friend #TEAM Octapharma # Real donating center

Biomat Erie is a Great Place to Donate! All the Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and make you feel at Ease ! Never had a bad experience..Come in and Donate and make a little extra $$ and Help others out with your Plasma. It's a Win Win situation! Make sure your well hydrated and eat a good, healthy meal before coming in! Makes for a smoother faster donation!

$175 in the hole due to staff incompetency... and $0+ from TRYING to donate there so far in 2022. Otherwise I enjoy(ed) donating for a long time when there were no hang ups, but thats far too hefty a price to pay on my end after getting incorrect info that I acted on from staff. I was a loyal donor for a while but think I'll just switch centers since they are making it all but impossible for me to get back in ?plus the money I doubt I'll ever be compensated for for a mistake made by the center ...

The people who work there are very nice and professional. However, I do have 2 complaints. The wait time is terrible. They really need to institute some sort of appointment system to prevent 20 or 30 people from all showing up at the same time. This would significantly decrease the wait time. They also need some way of indicating when someone's veins are difficult to stick. As someone who has had there veins missed many times, it would be nice if only someone with more experience was allowed to stick me and

(Erie PA) Great place to donate! Personnel are kind and easy going, making it a wonderful experience despite the needle. Highly recommend, I mean, who doesn't need some extra money for helping others.

Always worth the visit. You get compensated very well, helping others in the process. Staff is very kind, I have come to know many on a first name basis. Usually takes only a little over an hour or so. Highly recommend.

I have been donating for a year at biomat in Erie and I love it! The center is so clean and the staff (especially Sara) is friendly and make you feel comfortable and safe. It's also a great place to earn some extra cash and help save lives! Highly recommend!!

I've been going here ever since they opened and all the workers here are very nice and helpful! Never once had a bad experience. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

When it comes to successful donations I will say I have never needed a restick or gotten injured through Grifols. My review is based on the customer service I have received. On 05/07/2023 I was taken back to be screened, during this time I inquired about why I had only received $40 compensation for my fourth successful donation. During this time a bald gentleman with a grey goatee approached and explained "You have 30 days from registration to obtain the new donor fee" I responded with "Where is that posted

It could be better.I've been trying to call like it says to do on my app profile, sense July 22nd but NO ONE ANSWERS the phone. I was going twice each week was almost at the full amount that it says on all the ads that you could earn for the month. But its now Sept 4th lost out on a lot & any/all the special promotions cause no one wants to answer the phone i left a message to call me back but no return calls. But i guess this is just pointless to say it on here.

It's a good place an easy but all that staff that's in back need help !! Took me 30 minutes just to get needle while 4 / 5 staff walked an talked about there personal life ! I'll be at the next location thanks people work an have jobs too an children

Very friendly staff. They make you feel at home. My first time donating and will definitely keep donating to help people out.

I stood at the front desk for 25 minutes before someone came and asked if I needed help. I called the phone 4 times to try and get the employees attention and no one came to the phone. This was at their least busy time, and there was no one in the waiting room besides me. Then when someone finally came to help me, she told me I needed a photo copy of my social. When I called home to have someone send me one (which took time), she then said I needed the social in person or a scanned copy emailed to me. So I

Honestly my husband and I used to like to come here to donate but we started to notice the staff here are very unwelcoming and pretty rude. They don't treat donors like people. It honestly feels like we are seen as number. This has been an ongoing issue for quite awhile now And we have chosen to not return. The staff do not seem like they enjoy their jobs nor do they show any type of respect to the donors. Today alone I witnessed an employee being extremely rude to a donor that had questions about the donat

I have been donating here for several months and am still surprised at the efficiency of the staff and their operation in general. I am in and out much more quickly than at other centers I have used in the past. This company is generous to its donors and visiting Grifols/Biomat Erie is a pleasant experience.

Is run by the employees, seems It's been forgotten That they would not have their job if us donors didn't to their place and donate. Treated like I was in So this was allSo this was all personal grade, bye a few different employees? Talked down to and corrected my every action? Sure rules need to be followed, but nit picked by the technician at the other end of room? My tech was a professional And just ten feet away And didn't have a problem with me whatsoever? This was all personalAnd I made the com

Great staff! Always nice and helpful. Clean and professional environment. Highly recommend donating here if you are interested. Great compensation with bonuses

The staff are very friendly, helpful & attentive. I so enjoy the banter between the staff & customers. Your staff member, Erica, is such an asset to your company. I have observed that she is very skilled & knowledgeable in her position & goes out of her way to be a help to others & especially the donors. The major issue I have is not having the TV's playing movies or having something on them (other than plasma information) to past the time while there. A plus that would be helpful for donors is to have the b

The staff here were so nice and helpful they definitely made my first experience go alot more smoth than I expected... The sign up was quick and easy and the overall process went pretty fast and painless..... Will be going back for sure

I have be donating for about 3 years or better. Great staff helpful and caring. Clean facility very informative. And ultimately saving lives for a little cash win/win ?

Biomat Erie is a great place to donate plasma! It has a very friendly and helpful staff that cares about your donation. I felt weird about my donation until I was going through my review and physical with Steve who is very funny and informative. Definitely recommend donating here and helping others while doing so at the same time.

I have been coming here for a few years on and off. The employees are nice and knowledgeable. It feels like a family after a while. Thank you! Lonni Taylor

Great place to earn extra cash.

Given dirty needle by facility 2 months ago. Haven't been able to donate since.

I would encourage anyone to donate plasma at the Erie location! It can get busy at times but the staff have always tried to make the experience a positive one. Recent staffing changes have really improved the atmosphere, too. Save lives and earn some extra $ at the same time...it's a no brainer.

Great facility with professional staff. Donations are for a great cause and they really need people, these donations go towards life saving medicine and it takes quite a bit of donation just for one persons treatment. Def recommend !

Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
