You have too many people that hate their job. I wanted to help, but now I will never donate to this group again and don't recommend anyone go here either. They don't listen, think they understand your body better than you do, and wait till an extreme happens before they take action. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Go elsewhere. They will treat you better, and you won't be in pain.
I have been donating for about 14 years. It's a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The staff is always happy to see you and yet remains professional at the same time. It can get busy at times but that's any medical facility. The only difference that I would make is to have someone at the front counter to man the phones and answer questions of the new people who come in.
As a new donor I had been referred to give plasma to supplement social security and earn a little extra spending money from a friend on the other coast of Florida. When I made the appointment the nurse seemed very polite and professional. Upon returning the following day for my appointment the male receptionist/nurse was polite but to me a bit condescending. I realize they need to know you can read English but just ASK! Stood there and read the first line "out loud" as requested. Then was as
The intake process for new donors is horrid. People at the front desk are less than helpful and genuinely awful. When you show up for your first appointment they act like you are a major inconvenience. But once you become a donor the process becomes streamlined, and the phlebotomist are all very pleasant.
Maria was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was unable to do my appointment and waited for 3 hours!!! She told me to do my height and never told me to scan my QR code again to be seen to donate. She was super rude to me when I asked about others going in front of me and how I've been waiting for an hour at that time. She brushed me off and walked away rudely. To think she is the manager is beyond me. I wasn't even compensated for the long wait and unable to donate because it took too long. I'm very disap
The whole staff is great! Rebecca in particular is amazing at her job. She is very friendly and being that I am nervous around needles she def makes the whole process less stressful. I have a tricky vein that she seems to have no problem with.
This place is an absolute joke now. They failed to inform people of the changes they were making. Now you have to listen to staff not only scream and yell at donors but at each other as well over these changes. The process that used to take you 2 hours tops now takes 4 hours or more even with an appointment scheduled. Honestly they just need to go back to the old way if it's this much of an inconvenience or up the pay for the way the donors are being treated while they get their crap together!!!
I understand getting new equipment and being a little behind, but the setup and transition of new equipment and training is terrible. They definitely did not plan for this at all. They still allow people to make appointments and they still take walk ins. I understand that things get backed up, but taking people that have appointments after others and were here 30-45mins before them, is not ok. I switched donating centers for the convenience of being able to make appointments and with that, that it would be
I've been donating here for a little while, now. Before coming here, I donated at another company for about a year, so I think I can make a decent comparison. When I was researching donation centers, I considered what they pay, their restrictions, ease of the whole process, etc. I read lots of reviews, and Biotest came out on top for this area. As it turns out, I am glad I chose this center. I kept reading about Jorge and Germaine, and now I know why - Jorge made the physical part of the process simple, qu
If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I have been experiencing Indirect Discrimination and been treated unfairly by a worker named ?Aaliyah? here at Biotest of Fort Myers. I was sitting with a needle in my arm for a long time once I completed my donation as I watched her take everyone around me who finished after me before me and not once did she acknowledge me or the fact that I was done before any of the clients she took. She then proceeded to have her back turned towards me and left me and did not
Awesome staff who is always friendly and professional. Been going here for years and have never been mistreated. To the new stuff member Rebecca, you are awesome and a fantastic personality, an excellent addition to this company.
I switch to Grifols from another company in north fort myers. The phlebotomists here are so much nicer. They always have plenty of staffing and the facility is clean and VERY well organized. There are never long lines and they have a waiting area where you can sit down while waiting to donate. You're treated like a person here and not like cattle
Grifols is a great place to go if you're looking for extra money in your pocket, for about an hour or less of your time (the first donation takes about 1 to 2 hours). Plus with your donation you will be helping others. Ask for Derek for great donation experience, he is very professional and gentle. There is an app to help schedule appointments making the experience easier and relaxing.
Rebecca is the consummate professional while dealing with donors. Rebecca made my last visit comfortable with her caring and focused execution of her job. Even though she has only been there a while, a raise is definitely in order for Rebecca. Rebecca cares about her donors and sets the standard for all her peers to emulate.
The center has improved so much over the past year!! It is so much more efficient!!! There are so many good phlebotomists who are so careful with sticking your veins. Derrick, Katherine and Umma are three favorites but again the whole staff is friendly and caring. I've been donating 2x a week for over a year! Thank you all for your hard work!!
After 4 days of trying to get someone on the phone to schedule an appointment I ended up having to come in in person today. I was starting to explain the issues to get in touch with their center to the lady helping me when I girly angry looking guy started to yell at me and argue. I tried reasoning with him, but he was just angry. He started to explain that the phone are never picked up and that the only way to make an appointment is in person. I turned back to the lady that was helping me and asked her to
The floor team on my visit did a fantastic job. Jalyssa is definitely ready for a raise and next steps. Katherine is doing a fantastic job training a new team member. Katherine knows her job. Janeth goes about her job with the utmost concern for donor safety. And Aaliyah. Can't say enough about her career progression and her readiness for management. Watched her train many now successful floor staff. Melissa is now wearing many hats and did so as she fought through personal adversity. Finally Umme. Umme al
Went in yesterday and competed my first donation. The whole process took just 2 hours.. I have to say I was very impressed. I have donated in the past( not at this center) and it has taken up to 5 hours... Great job to all the staff who helped yesterday..????????
Well, with the new setups, it takes even longer to complete. I arrived at 1:30 to a waiting room full. Didn't sit until 3, and it 5 now and still not done. How is this better?
3 stars because while MOST of the staff is helpful and professional, there is someone who likes to answer the phone and immediately hang up. Had to call four times in a row to actually speak with someone. I know the sound of a ringing phone is annoying and sometimes you've got other priorities at hand, but like, just pick up and put me on a hold, maybe? I'd gladly wait.
Umme is the best! I love ?? her energy and is always kind . All the staff is super kind and helpful and their new appointment system gets you in and out quick !!! Fast and easy pay day! Ty guys!
No one answers the phone. I can't schedule an appointment either in the app or online. The best the app says is for me to go down there. Why? What's the problem? This company is having serious issues. I wanted to help people by donating but they can't even staff someone to answer their phone. I'm guessing they are going to go under soon.
Completely and disgustingly unprofessional. They have a website with information that is not only false, but they don't follow anything stated on it. Completely baffles me that more is required from donors than the actual employees that were hired. Not only does no one answer the phone AT ALL (MIND YOU, WHILE WAITING THE PHONE WAS RINGING OFF THE HOOK MEANWHILE STAFF IS LITERALLY JUST WALKING PASSED BACK AND FORTH LAUGHING AND CHIT CHATTING WITH EACH OTHER), but they also allowed one person, for sure, under
My Exceptional Experience at Biomat USA Plasma Donation Center I recently visited Biomat USA located at 4391 Colonial Blvd Fort Myers, Fl for plasma donation, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The center is conveniently located, making it easily accessible for donors. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Dawn and Elena who exemplified outstanding customer service and set a positive tone for my visit. The facility is impressively equipped with state-of-the-art machin
Jalyssa was very kind and always funny. Since her vacation she has been much more relaxed and overall joyful!!! I may come back ??
The ladies who work in here are rude. This was my first time in this place and there was nobody at the desk most of the time I was in there, when I went to return their informational binder, I was asked if I had informed anyone before I sat back down for 10 more minutes. How am I supposed to inform someone who's not there at an empty desk? I don't work here I don't know anyone who works here I don't know how to get a hold of them. This is my first time as they knew, not sure why they would put that responsi
I'm a person that weighs 250 and I want to take a who quart and just give me $45 crazy. I'm a return donor and I had To say no to that. The average salary is. 12 dollars An hour and I'm there for like 4 hours. Do the math that's already $48 just to be there? And then you wanna poke me with? Thick Needle Then my hand gets numb, not worth it.
Steven is very intelligent, informative, kind, considerate & a very positive person with a beyond average IQ= Intelligence Quotient Jordan os THEE ?? 1/2. Very patient, kind considerate, very intelligent, hospitable + +. Alena is kind, intelligent, informative, hospitable, blunt, direct & excellent at her job. Steven is an expert in his field. I just don't recommend. Always an issue. There's some nice people that work there though, but the intake person always messes something up and always small snide comments about me
Moved to Florida recently. Don't have driving license here yet. I do have a Bonita Springs Community Recreation Ctr. Card with my picture on it. Can't get this unless you're a resident of the city. It was not good enough. The plaza ctr. Is understaffed.
Never had a single issue with this place, I've been going here for over 3+ years and I've seen all kinds of people that go here and complain about the speed but they're working with the best they've got. I feel like I've experienced every problem in this place that a customer could from being stuck outside of the vein and getting a bubble or having to get restuck or even being wrapped not tight enough but I've never let that stray me away from the place. Everyone here is super friendly, courteous, and help
Don't bother. Besides a few good hard working employees, this place is a joke. On a good day you'll be lucky to get out in less then 2.5 hrs..... if you're lucky. I've waited up to 4 plus hrs and that is with appointments. The equipment they use is old, the beds you lay in is horrible. The place has bad energy and even alot of the people who donate are obnoxious. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to donate
DONOR BEWARE IN CASE YOU DON?T HAVE A WHOLE DAY TO SPEND AT THE PLASMA CLINIC. So I've donated a few places in my life and honestly, the employees are some of the kindest I've seen in a plasma clinic. I would have rated it 5 stars, but I made an appointment for 10:30, I arrived on time, and now it's 12:15. Haven't even started donating. Still in the waiting room. Which means I still have to wait to get stuck AFTER I finally get back there. I want to help people and donate, but to donate 3 - 4 hours? When yo
I waited over an hour just to be seen and when I talked to one of the employees I was informed I would have to wait longer clear your whole day of you want service.
I drove all the way from Naples to come here. It was my very first visit and i knew it would take at least 4 hours. It was the most fastest and easiest process and it didn't even seem like I was there that long. Jorge was the most sweetest and pleasant guy I got to deal with. He went above and beyond to make sure I could donate today and not have to drive all the way home empty handed. There was a bit of a conflict but he thought fast and fixed my problem instantly. I am so happy with my visit and will be g
The staff is always very helpful and concerned. My veins are small and require special attention and they always give it to me. Hats off to Diana and Ashley for always being so great to me!!! I also would like to say that Crystal is extremely helpful as well. I can not say enough good things about the center, the Staff, and the service they provide.
I was super scared and nervous about donating but the staff here were all awesome! The lady at the front was great and Dr Jorge was really nice and funny and I loved Jermaine! He helped me feel comfortable with the process and made it easy for me! I will definitely be back to this center again!
I truly enjoy donating and find the staff very friendly and personable. The donation center is very organized and clean. I have donated flawlessly many times. I have had only one incident which was tonight in which a staff member seemed hurried as it was busy. The needle stick didn't feel right and my donation site had to be switched to my other arm as it was not running properly after the first cycle. This caused the donation to not fully complete as there were issues within the tubing during the process.
A Wonderful Staff that work hard to make our time there pleasant and safe. Lisa and Angie always make me feel comfortable and at ease every time. It can take some time to get through if it's busy and irritation can set in. I try and remember that I'm here to help not just get money. They do there best to get everyone through in a timely manner however we all have those days where nothing go's right and we all just have to keep in mind that it's a business and they have those days just like us so give them a
Great staff and great service! First time donor today, and the staff was so helpful and great! Would recommend to others, to never go on a Sunday...not that the center did anything wrong, but that EVERYONE comes on this day ?? prepare for a wait...the staff I encountered from the receptionist, to the "double mint twins" Crystal 1 and Crystal 2 (I'll let yall hash out who is who ??) to Allie (who absolutely has my utmost confidence, make that girl a trainer!!)to Jasmine, who helped make a slightly stressful
They are so short handed yet are still allowing the same amount of people to schedule appointments per slot. You still wait 2 to 2 1/2. Before you even get a chair. Expect a 4 hour adventure minimum. Bring lunch or dinner, you will be hungry until your done! My last appointment I was turned away at the door and told they would call if they got to my name. They called 1/2 before they closed. I live 45 minutes away. 1 1/2 hour plus gas wasted. It stinks when it cost you time and money to do nothing.
Expect to spend 4-5 hours each appointment even after your first one. some of the Employees in the back taking blood are extremely lazy. No sense of urgency or work ethic whatsoever. Use your brains and take less appointments. It's not that hard to figure this out. Management is absolutely terrible! Never seen worse!
On 6/14/2016 I went to donate plasma and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff there that day was very nice, friendly and patience.Erika was very nice and professional. Daniel was very nice, professional and he explained everything to me. He understood me and he showed me that he actually care for me. Jordan is a nice young lady. Patricia was very friendly, nice and made me feel at ease when I was nervous. Kat is the type of person that make you feel really comfortable. Bob was one of my favorite pe
I haven't even gone to start vitals because of the tremendous amount of bad reviews regarding wait times and the lack of a resolution. If they're understaffed, then add more staff and adjust your procedures immediately. Dont just apologize and do nothing. Thats frustrating to see. Incredibly unfortunate that people willing to help are put through hours of wait time with an appointment. When i see reviews change for the better, Ill adjust my rating and head in to donate. For now I'll have to stick with cheap
Confused about all these one star ratings for wait times? Is this your first time donating people? For your first visit your always looking at 2-4 hours. After that usually about 2. You're getting paid 125 dollars for what? 4 hours max? Lmao. Not only are you getting paid way more then deserved for such little time you're also saving a life. Crazy how salty you people are.
I have been here before around a year ago and didn't have the best experience even back then because of the inconsistency of how my arm was being stuck, there were times when they had to stick me several times and unexperienced phlebotomist working there. I decided to go back and try to donate again however this time not only is it up to a 5 to 7 hour wait but the staff is so disoriented. I tried twice to make an appointment, even with the appointment it was unrealistic for any person that has a job or fami
My experience at this facility so far has been absolutely fantastic. I was hesitant at first to donate, but was amazed with all the detailed information I was given during my first visit. The staff at this facility are amazing and I would like to recognize a few of them by name. Ashley (took my plasma) is absolutely professional and accurate. She continually checks on me (while donating) to see if I need anything while the system is working. She is very kind and made me feel at ease. Thank you Ashley for
The staff is great and the process always goes smoothly. However the wait times are terrible. Even with an appointment you wait an hour and a half to two hours before you even begin to donate. I hope they hire more staff soon to keep up with all the people who want to donate.
I donated yesterday and it was a very easy process. The first time there so it took about 4 hours but I expected that. Very smooth and structured process. I had my physical performed by Jorge and he made me feel comfortable. He explained what Biotest is about and what the next steps were in the process. He even came to check on me while I was hooked up to the machine. The technician that performed the venipuncture was awesome (I wish I could remember her name). Everyone was very nice and made me fe
Unless you dont have anything else to do in your day.... the waiting times are insane even with an appointment. Why even make appointments? They start the day off behind. Also, in talking with some of the staff, they are extremely under paid for the job they do.... maybe they need to rethink that part if they cant keep a staff. People arent gonna stay if you run em ragged and stress them out by always being shorthanded. It's not worth it. I dont feel like anyone's time is valued...they're only concerned a
This place was amazing they have an amazing staff who is dedicated to helping you with your donation. They helped me get through a lot even with my fear of needles. One of the doctors named Jorge was simply amazing he gave me a positive attitude and treated me like family because of him I got through the test with ease. They made me want to come back even with my fear of needles. Thank You to the staff of the Biotest. ??
Why was I told that my name doesn't match my social security when it's the same one Ive used my entire life. I don't usually carry my social security card on me because I've lost one before and had to replace it and don't really see the need to when I can look up information online. I was refused to be even looked at because I was told my social security number does not match my person or name. But yet I've gone to the same grifols for years to come. And then I also get told that know I have to have my soc
I just donated plasma here today for the first time ever! I was very nervous about it since I'm new to this, and last time I got ?blood work? done at my regular doctors office, I got very faint, but all the staff made me feel safe and cared for! Jermaine was extremely kind, attentive, and comforting. The physical substitute answered every and all of my questions! All the technicians on the floor are on the lookout for any problems so I felt very safe. Yes it takes a bit of time completing the questions, phy
Thank you shawna your awesome thank you for been so nice you have a heart of gold
I was initially so nervous! Jorge did my intake exam and put me at ease. He was kind and courteous, patient, and calm. He's very genuine and took the time to check on me during the process. Gina did my 2nd stick and was gentle and sweet. Jermaine for the 3rd- so awesome!!!!
Place has gone down hill. Change rules and don't follow on their end of things. You have to be at your appt. But they don't have to be ready for your appt. U get 5 minutes and u will be turned around but you can wait in line for 20 to 30 minutes to get screened then you have to wait in lobby for 30 minutes to hour and half. So your appt going to take u from 1hr and 30 minutes to 3 hrs so plan ahead
The team was very informative, professional and time efficient. The physician substitute, Jorge, completed a thorough physical with the amazing accountability observation of his colleague Melissa. This facilities accountability measures and communication skills are impeccable! The management and its entire team are truly second to none.
They are so slow it's not right that it takes over an hour to be put in a bed not very happy with this center at all ?? Update Been in my bed for 25 minutes and not one employee has even spoke to me still not hooked up at acknowledged what is wrong with these employees? Here we go again I haven't been since my last visit and review. This is by far the worst center I've ever visited I have been a very loyal donor for years now. My appointment was at 10:45am and here it is almost 2pm. They sent an email for
Came prepared to my first appointment. Nowhere online it shows that you can't bring your child to the appointment and I asked in the chat on their website as well. I tried to call for days and no one picks up. Just completely wasted my time
I definitely was surprised by how warm, welcoming, friendly, and easy to laugh and smile with that the staff was! Jorge, the physician, was especially amazing and the time it took to get all my information down seemed to fly! I think from when I arrived (around 12:30) I waited about 30 to 45 min before being called in by Jorge to take my info and get my physical. It was around 3:00 when I got to go back and donate. My personal donation took about an hour and a half from needle going in to needle coming out.
The people who work here are very nice. I cant donate because of my diabetes but my wife does on a regular basis. I do have one complaint and it's why there is only 3 stars. Why bother making an appointment it's not honored and that bothers me more than a sore tooth. And, please no excuses there is only one slot per each appointment time so there should be a person or persons who only take care of appointments. If you solve this problem that would bump it up a couple stars. Well I find myself once aga
The person below obviously has no idea what they're talking about because this place is the bee?s knees. The staff is amazing, make you feel at home, and are NOT ugly at all (they're a couple hunks if you ask me). Jorge is the best and super friendly! Jermaine is also the best phlebotomist on the floor! Both have been a main reason for making me WANT to keep coming back!! Keep it up staff!!! If you're going to donate, DO IT HERE!!!!
Derek is the best he makes sure that iam ok and great with people and great customer service . always smiling , always gd to see him thanx derek
Spoke with someone last week about becoming a new donor, never explained to me you have to be a resident there to donate which makes no sense . Made an appointment not even know then when I get there 7Am Monday morning They tell me I have to be a resident there in order to donate . Why not put that on your site . Then waste peoples time who actually want to help donate their plasma to save lives. I was very upset.
Come to this center occasionally when I have time to spare! Absolutley love the staff; Jorge is my favorite! Very nice and funny and does a great job entertaining you or distracting you when he's giving out tetanus shots!! 10/10 would definitely recommend coming here! Very clean and efficient as well!
The star rating system is deceiving since the process of Plasma donating has several factors and this rating is only as of this last two-three week period due to massive procedure change at Biomat. My wife has already switched to Octapharma in North Fort Myers because of this change which doubled her time in the center. Today my not really appointment was 10:00am. I walked out of their doors at 1:51pm and was on the machine for about an hour. With check-in waiting to make sure I meet the now 5 minute window
The staff are great people. The building has always been clean and tidy. It's been almost a year and a half since I've donated but still see farmilar faces here. only downside is they are usually short staffed but I hardly ever see anyone just standing around with nothing to do.
Ive donated plasma in multiple states, and this place has to be the worst run of them all. The wait times are horrendous. Almost an hour and a half just to get vitals/protein levels, then another hour waiting in the waiting room, then another hour waiting just to get stuck on the donor floor. Not the employees fault but it's ridiculous to have to wait that long for minimal payout. Don't make as many appointments to account for y?all being understaffed. Take care of your staff!
I had the BEST experience at Biotest today. I have never donated plasma before, only blood, so this was my first time. The staff was very patient with me, explained everything I needed to know multiple times, they were very clean (I am a germaphobe) and very timely as I had not even made an appointment. A few of the people who stood out to me were Summer, Sarah, Maria, Valeria and Jorge. They were all so very kind, knowledgable, and clearly love their job and what they do. Jorge, the leading physician, stoo
Umme Janneth and Lily are knowledgeable, they really know their stuff and great hands you don't even feel that needle!!!! :)
I returned to become a donor again to give this place another try. My 1st few times back was great. But once again they have managed to screw it up. I make appointments and then still sit to be called! Today 9/11 I went back to the desk to ask why I hadn't been called for my appointment after 7 other people were called ahead of me. The reason I got was that they don't want other people to sit too long! Are you kidding me? Then why even make an appointment? So I sat back down and they still called three oth
You never, ever, ever, ever, ever answer your phone. Why have a phone if you aren't going to use it? This is very frustrating. Please don't respond to my review by saying call us and let us help you. You won't answer.
Most of the staff are nice I got stuck with the elder Latino lady that just jumps around and don't listen to you. I was skipped when waiting to get hooked up and when it was time to unhook she didn't have time so I waited it was eleven minutes in when I finally removed the needle because my arm has been hurting since she stuck me..now told can't come back because of sorry staff. Now people know why I don't help.im not going threw bad times to help people I'm done.
Even as a returning donor, having an appointment doesn't mean anything. I had an appointment for 8, an hour later, and I'm still waiting just to be seen. While walk in's are getting served faster. Very Disappointing. What's the point?? Then to call my name just to wait another hour waiting for a phlebotomist. Get ready to wait 2 hours just for the sake of waiting, even for returning donors.
Appointments don't work. Low staff. If you come please be patient. Because it's going to take along time. Had an 830 appointment and didn't get vitals checked until 9a with appointment. Currently estimated 45min before I even get hooked up. Please be patient with staff but doesn't matter if you have Appointments or not you will still have to wait 2+hours for a return donor donations
I understand they deal with several people a day but they should treat each person that walks through the door, with respect. A few of the staff members are extremely rude and really need to try & just be kind. I have been a donor for another company in another state and have always had a great experience with them. My 1st time donating here, I walked away with 2 giant bruises (one on each arm). Upon my 2nd visit, they treated me like it was my fault. I was told "since I have small veins" and "I need to
Jalyssa. is an amazing worker. I lover her personality and work ethic. umme is also fantastic.
For someone I know goes there ) They want us to call and make an appointment but yet no one wants to answer the phones something has to be done it's ridiculous really trying to help people and can't even go down there without an appointment so sad
The staff is very pleasant! Umme especially was a great help in making me feel comfortable.
I don't know whats going on. But waiting 3 or 4 hours to donate is just ridiculous. I've been donating for a year and never once complained..but now, I don't think I wanna continue. Its already a drive coming from lehigh then on top of the waiting. I waited an hour to be seen..last time..then another hour waiting to be stucked while on the donor floor. The staff is great for the most part. But waiting like that is ridiculous I feel. Not worth it.
The fact that the address of anyone must be a residence and not just for mail purpose has every one who donate here pass off. Then you must make appointments to even get into donation center. Then if you don't pass anything they provide you your out of any gas money and time for wait for them to waste your time. It to far and they don't keep the same donation amount each month for returning donaors not new donor get the $700 that they would get the first month . Rude staff and even no helpful when they i
People are nice place is clean . Always busy on any day don't go by there live feed on being busy or not. Never have I been there less then 3 hours. Today it's going on 5 hours and still haven't made my donation. Seems they worry more about checking you in then getting your donation so you can leave .bunch of staff in front standing around talking instead making things move a long.
I love donating at Grifols Biomat. The staff is always nice. Ummi is awesome she goes above and beyond.
This place was nice! It was quite busy but all the employees were so efficient and made everyone feel comfortable! It was my first time donating plasma and the doctor came to check on me twice, and when I got up to leave I left my book behind and they made sure to bring it to me before I left. Super thankful for that and will definitely be back ??
I love this place! When I first walked through the door I was taken aback by the smiling faces. I've never experienced such fun and upbeat energies in a lab. The techs & the doners share a relationship that reminds me of family. The cleanliness is refreshing. I watch them clean so thoroughly after each donor. A big thanks to Slae, Fran, Crystal, Carley, Jorge, Bob & Jermaine and the entire Biotest crew for what you do. All have made me feel so welcomed and at ease. I encourage all to donate to such a gre
Jalyssa is an amazing worker, I love her enthusiasm and kindness. She need a raise!!
Jermaine and the staff are amazing. Always knows your name..well mine lol. And very good at their skills. They are informative and educate you about the process and show their personalities where it feels like a safe and comfortable environment.
The pos: extra cash, great new building, the staff seems to have good relationships with the people that frequent the place. Con: such a huge waist of your time, as others have said there is no rush to get you in and out, they have appointment yet on a number of visits I have waited over 45 min past my appointment before giving up and going about the rest of the day.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
