I go there twice a week every week ,the staff does a great job ??
Normally would never have a problem from this location but I went in to take a protein test on the 12, they told me like they say any other time ?it'll take 7-10 days? I call on the 10th day no it's not done yet, no one?s looked at it, was then told they send all the samples out and they have to wait, lady tells me another 1-10 days which I then explain it's already been 10 days, then she tells me to call tmrw, well today is tmrw and I call and I get told that it hasn't been looked at yet and the lady comes
If I could give Grifols zero stars I would give them that. 2012 location on La Salle Ave I went to give plasma did my physical the nurse that did my paperwork put in the computer that I didn't tell her about my piercing which I did and they told me I couldn't donate no more. It's 2024 and the lady told me that she wasn't there when everything was docked so she has to go by what's in the computer I will never send no one this location
So I rarely donate plasma, and I've never had any complications up until today. Some mid aged woman with a Zulu tribe hairstyle was my phlebotomist this morning. I said GM, no reply. I pardoned that. Sat down on the chair, and she tells me she's sick and not feeling well.. 2 red flags.. She puts needle in my vein, didn't ask if I'm alright.. Just nonchalant.. 10 mins in plasmapherises, my arm swells up.. I flagged down 1 woman. She had no sense of urgency.. I kept telling someone to take this needle out my
Horrible niggas move in slow motion I was here for 2 hours before seen they got to do better they just know people need money
Charles was rude during my visit today. The machine stopped. He walked over asking me why I didn't raise my hand even though I've never done that or soon anyone do that in my past 10 visits here. As he walks away he says I "You need to pay attention, maam." with this attitude. I was waiting patiently like I always do.
Wonderful, professional staff, they are all kind and friendly and always make sure to greet me (by name) even when they aren't the ones checking me in. They're a bit understaffed (like every establishment these days) but they work hard, fast, and stay positive while doing so. Thank you to Tori too for being so kind. This is a great place to donate!
Went here to donate, waited hours just for them to say I can't donate their anymore. Apparently someone made a mistake in documenting my piercings the last time I was there and put a different place on my face and some how it fell on me and was my fault and I am considered unreliable. Whom ever filled out my paper work put I had a upper lip piercings and I never had one in my life. The piercing I listed was a septum piercing. They looked at the photo that was took the day I donated and conveniently the phot
Idk understand, you have 4 people waiting to get processed, 2 people doing it, then one employee from the back comes up and directs Charles to go to lab so her and soand so can go shopping and get him coffee, he reluctantly went. Meanwhile said employee stands at the front talking to the girl who's processing a person. Now I understand when one of the employees called this place getto.
I started coming in 2015, stopped for a while do to school and work. They kept calling me to come back and donate so I decided to come back. I brought in my information, sense I had not been active for a while. I have always enjoyed working with the staff until now. The receptionist was rude and disrespectful. I understand people are doing a job but there is no need to talk to someone like they are better than you. She cuts you off when talking or asking questions and when you walk away she wants to be keep
Never again. I went today for the first time in a while. They sent a text out with a promotion, I called and verified it. Walked in today and the lady said ? it was an error that went out to everyone ? they lied to get people to come back in. It took so long to hook everything up which I don't understand because there was only like two people back there. Went to get plasma drawn and the nurse stuck me and tried to adjust the needle after it was in my arm and blood shot out everywhere. Very disorganized, ma
I've been going here for alittle while now. Switch from octapharma when I moved to the area. I really enjoy the staff and the service received everyone one is friendly and courteous. I've personally have never had a issue, I will admit the process flows better with the appointment setup now that splendid idea. The returning donor bonuses are great compared to pass ones I've had couldn't think of a thing to change at all.
536pm on a Wednesday afternoon you see 6 employees waking around but only 1 person working the floor in the back? How is that reasonable or even makes sense? Middle of the week, this late there should always be atleast 2 to 3 people working the floor. And how to stick the vein should be properly taught to each person, that could potentially lead to serious injury.
I've been coming here for 14 years and just made my 1000th donation. The staff does a fantastic job day in and out in a slightly hectic environment. If you're nice to them they're nice to you. I highly recommend this place if you want a little extra money or if you just want to do something that helps others.
Was interested in becoming a Donor at BiOmat USA. But after my experience with a Caucasian woman that was a staff member that was assigned to the new Donors on 7/4/2023. Resulted in me leaving and going to Biolife. Which I had great and quick experience. Everyone was professional and welcoming. The employee at Biomat USA. Was rude and very unprofessional and simply did not want to do her job because "she was getting off in 20minutes". Because she lack professionalism it led to a verbal argument. Is this th
The WORST place to give plasma! Do not come here.. All in a week.. I had someone poke my arm and miss the whole vein while my blood squirts everywhere while she just jokes. Not enough ppl working there that takes it serious. Also, my last visit someone broke into my car and the ?cameras doesn't work? . Real sketchy place and should be able to tell by location. Go somewhere else.
Experience was good there, until some new lady stuck me today and felt she didn't know what she was doing because her first comment was "you look like you scared" (now keep in mind I've been donating for years and even at this plasma center) so in my mind I feel you either tryna be funny or you really the nervous scared one. Because once she stuck me it hurt, my cuff was too dam tight and on my first draw the machine kept cutting off 3x (I knew something was wrong then) cause now she keep tryna readjust my
This place is so ghetto. When they answer the phones, they don't care who's on the other end. They complain THE WHOLE TIME THEY ARE WORKING. I saw a review that said they only assist their friends which is essentially the truth. They look out for their own there. Literally anything you ask these people is a complete and utter inconvenience. I made a huge mistake going from octapharma to here.
This place isn't safe for women, had an employee harass an older donor because she closed her eyes for a second. She apologized when the male nurse approached her aggressively and demanded she keeps her eyes open and told her ?you better agree with the rules?. He gave this lady a panic attack and she had to get off the machine. Super uncomfortable will never donate at this place again. I'll be damned if anyone?s job title gives permission to demean, ostracize, and can treat or talk to me any type of way. DO
I love this guy's. The whole team is wonderful. Especially Stephanie she is awesome all around. And the rest of the team is also polite and respectful and friendly. Also can't forget my girl Tasha she is the best all around. They are my family.
I used to really love this place and the staff and could even tolerate the people that were rude to me, let everything just slide, minding my own business. I don't know what happened to the staff or their system but yeah?.. my experience right now at this moment not so great and all I do is mind my business and try to fit in and be normal here but?? I don't think the staff likes me too much. Just my thoughts that I usually keep to myself. I don't do reviews but today and always just try and make sure I'm st
Haven't had any issues. The ladies who stick are nice and come by to check on me. The whole thing runs smooth if you go the right time of day. I did have an issue with small bruising after a stick and they wouldn't let me donate that day, but I know they were just doing their job and being safe for my sake, too. There was also a lady at the front who called the other Biomat location that sent me to hampton because I wasn't a part of a certain system. But they were wrong and this lady called them and put the
Wait for hours just to be told BP is too high to donate. Never had high BP ever, and tried to explain that they needed a larger cuff. Wouldn't listen and said nope can't donate. Went to my dr for my annual physical, BP normal. I'll just go somewhere who knows what they are doing.
Wonderful, kind people. Of course, there's gonna be that one person who acts like they would rather die than work, which is scary when they're the one who sticks you, but 9/10 times, great experiences. Waiting isn't too much of a issue, after all, you're getting money for sitting and giving a little plasma.
The staff is cool. As far as how things are set up, not too organized at all. Be expected for someone who got there 30-45 mins after you to get stuck before you, cause of where you're seated.
I have never had a less-than-stellar experience here. I've been donating since June & all the staff are so sweet & cheerful. I recommend everyone donating here & you can use my name as your referral for the Buddy Bonus Program! Thank you! ??????
My visit today was Hell 3/22/19. They avoid clients and refuse to stick some people without trying. I was stuck 3 times and when you try to explain your arm and how your veins are they get attitudes. Not a good look and you wonder why my anxiety be through the roof in there.
This place really takes care of you. Back in the day some people had bad attitudes but it's always a pleasure going now. You always get their best every time so it makes you feel good about going??????
Normally I wouldn't complain. But, today I waited 25 minutes to be unhooked and two people who finished afterme were unhooked first. There needs to be a better system on recognizing who finished donating first instead of asking one personand taking their word just because they wanted to be unhooked first
If you're a type 2 diabetic don't waste your time. I called before I went over there and I told the lady I was a type 2 diabetic and asked her if that would be a problem and she said she couldn't answer that for me to come in and I told I didn't want to waste their time or mine. So I went and filled all the paperwork out just to be told I couldn't give plasma because I'm a diabetic
Eye love help saving lives
had me wait two hours and fill out multiple forms to finally tell me i can't donate simply because i have asthma. even when i offered my doctors chart to show that the type of asthma i have will not impact a simple donation. this policy wasn't even on the site and not to mention the staff is rude.
Came in today at 2 and 20 mins later I'm donating. It's a busy place but the staff do a great job. They all should get a raise for the excellent service they give the donors.
Only invested in helping their friends like it is a private mom and pop and not a corporation. As evidenced by picking and choosing who to assist if they are a difficult stick and being reluctant to accept new donors. This nepotism been going on for years. Corporate should know.
I come here faithfully 2 times a week, They are great! It's always cold in here so make sure to bring sleeves. Great atmosphere, Great staff, Great money. Most definitely recommended!
Very friendly experienced staff! But they have this new process they takes forever. Went from taking no more than 2 hours total to donate to now 3.5 hours for a returning donor.
They sell each plasma bottle for tens of thousands yet can't be bothered to decently compensate us for our plasma. That's just terrible.
So slow. New donor process takes to long. No wonder why they are offering 70 dollars for new donors because they must loose alot. I dont even know if it is worth going back for the rest of my 4 70 dollar bonuses
I been going here for 2-3 years i dont about anyone else the staff treats me very good maybe some of you just dont have any respect for yourselves or other people either that or lack of humblism. I love coming to this facility.
I've donated twice, both times the staff was courteous and professional. I would highly recommend it.
Very very slow took almost 2 hrs with very few people waiting just to get in to wait to donate. Then sat and waited with lots of works walking around. Then the manager running the place doesn't even no what his employees are doing they don't even know how is next. The said part is this is to help and save life's and the employees have for got that
After being told a change of address form was a sufficient form of proof of address the woman rudely told my husband that his was unacceptable. I will definitely NOT be referring friends there anymore. Very unprofessional.
I love Grifols they do great work everyone is nice and the extra money helps me get the things I really need. If you choose to donate you couldn't choose a better place than grifols.
I love the staff here at bio mat. They are some lovely people. Always seem to put a smile on my face and keep me at ease. I will keep coming back for sure!
The positive reviews must be from employees. This place is the worst. Rude, ghetto management and workers. 3 to 4 hours is standard here. The employees spend too much time giving out attitudes and speaking on their personal lives.....UNPROFESSIONAL.
Very very slow on Sundays!!! They have only 2 people.. just FYI for anyone that goes on Sundays. Otherwise the people are nice and friendly and very accommodating
The staff is very friendly. I enjoy their different personalities. Just have to time when you come in or the process can go very slow because of how busy they get.
Great place. People are friendly and remember you! I've never been there more then 2 hours for a donation, I just know the good times to go. :)
This Biomat is one of the best plasma centers in Va. There's not along wait , the money is fair and they also have bonuses and a nice kind friendly staff who cares about their patient's.
I love coming here! They are people friendly and I definitely love the energy from the staff most of the time....Biomat in Hampton is the place to be, now come help save some lives and get PAID to do it! Thanks BIOMAT
I love coming here to donate plasma! Everyone is so nice, professional and that facility is clean. The Hampton Biomat is an amazing place to go to save lives!
Always changing procedures until its not worth it.. they constantly call to see why i dont go, promotionals ect.. but when i do go its a whole new pay out rate, cant walkin in for 1st 2hrs last 3hrs, now no walkins for last 4hrs and i think first 2hrs still, usually understaffed stayed 3 hrs 1 day and never got to donate just had to leave in frustration ladies are nice but kindness goes but so far when its disorganized and procedures ALWAYS change montlhy sometimes twice a month... not worth it
Honest 3*. The wait times are disgusting. Be prepared to lose your day, EVEN with VIP. It's money though. Selling your body one way or another. I'll tell you it beats construction jobs though.
i was rude i admit but they are as well but it you dont suk up to them your blackballed ....... some are there for a paycheck some are there just to be noticed!!For some the money is needed but its not worth it they get better money then the donor !!!im sure there is other places besides this ghetto plasma hole !!! 1 comment i read good movies they play ?well they dont play movies no more because staff watched and time was added sittin
Nice atmosphere. Employees are very friendly. Fast moving, no long wait times. I love this place!
I really like coming here since they changed things around it has helped me alot. The workers are very kind and sweet.
They do not have any kind of organization and they never answer the phone. If I need an appointment on the weekends or I cannot come in but they refuse to answer the phone how am I supposed to set an appointment? Inconsiderate and just inconvenient I have called back to back multiple times to no avail
Biomat is extremely professional and know what they're doing. They have amazing staff and their all nice and know how to carry a conversation with anybody. #Where#its#at
There are always great and pleasant when you have an appointment they make sure your spot is addressed in a timely manner
It is clean and the staff tends to know individuals who come on regularly. But it is no hospital. Sometimes bedside manner can go a long way.
This place is awesome. Short wait time and pleasant, gentle staff. I will continue to donate here!
The girls are the reason I drive 20 miles out of my way to donate. They're friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable
I am a faithful donor here. I have been for some time now. It is a nice center. The staff is nice and hard working.
I really like how efficient the nurses are they get you in and out and make sure everything is done right each time I came in I was satisfied
People there are very nice don't really wait long at all. Pay is pretty good for what your doing and the time you spend there
Tai also know as Tailisia, is the best thay works there just saying??????
Great staff. Short wait time. Good pay. Cold inside build so bundle up.
The staff are always friendly and helpful. Very clean place. They get you in and out
I love the staff, they are nice and respectful, a nice and clean environment and the wait isn't long.
The staff is very good people. I enjoy it because of the mannerisms of the staff
Best place to donate plasma. Everyone is really nice and I always get seen before my appointment.
Great people, time-consuming during a busy time need more employees
Tasha, Tai, Tianna are all experts! 5 stars ?? ???????? Nautica is an expert. 5 stars smooth with it. Best from the West. ??????????
Great Atmosphere!! Staff works hard not to keep you too long.. Awesome people to be around..
Very slow there is about 2 employees that work fast there the rest are in slow motion and have not a care in the world if those two girls are not there plan on staying a couple of hours
Terrible you aren't allowed to say anything when customers start bleeding everywhere over their new Christmas outfits because they can't rap people properly.
I have been here several times to donate plasma and they are always so friendly! Recommend donating plasma here.
This center is filled with staff members that are friendly, educated, and professional. I recommend this establishment over the others.
They send you out the door after waiting an hour because your pulse is a little off. Dont waste the time for the hurting it will put on you
Would not come here if you don't need to. Even when it's not busy your going to be waiting just for them to talk more
All the staff are great there very respect And nice i was please with my visit
I love this place the staff is great and management is doing a good job with keeping the place running smoothly.
Having a hard time understanding why there is like 15 emploees here most standing around talking and I am still waiting just to get hooked up 30 plus minutes and counting....absurd.
Biomat in Hampton has a wonderful staff who is very efficient in providing excellent services for helping others to save lives by donating plasma
I love how friendly the staff is here even with rolling veins, they've never missed and had to restick me
Such a great place. Always clean and staff is super friendly and quick.
I love this place im always in and out quick and the people that work here are nice.
They treated me with excellent care and wonderful hospitality..simply amazing!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
