hands down the best center in the city. The employees are knowledgeable but don't treat you like you're beneath them or like you're an airhead. The process is simple and I love how you can answer your questions on the app before getting to the center! It saves so much time. Thank you all for making me feel like an important donor rather than just a bottle
I loved donating at Grifols before I was permanently deferred...techs were super friendly, very efficient and very helpful with info. Great staff, always clean and very upbeat
All the employees here at indep location pay close attention to everyone if there's a problem they are on top of it. Never worried about coming in and wondering how my poke will go as i have alot of scar tissue but they get through it with no pain.
In the 4 years of going to (Independence, Mo.) Grifols Biomat USA, I've only had pleasant experiences from all the staff, they're very kind and always professional. They work hard to make you feel at ease while donating & get you out in a timely manner! I like that the facility is always clean! I won't go anywhere else! Thank you for being the Best plasma center in town! Wish I could give more than 5 stars you deserve it!
Hello. I have previously reviewed this center, and my comments still apply. Everyone is courteous and generally provide swift service. However I've come upon an issue I believe needs to be brought to light. At every Dr. appointment I attend, my bp is completely normal, yet when they take it at this center, there's a 50/50 chance it's not only too high to donate, but I'd even say dangerously high. The pictures I included are my (normal) bp rates where the very next day the machines here were saying I was 181
Ashley is the most rude manager I have ever seen, she threatens with deferrals; she cusses, her employee Kaleigh cussed at me as well because i was getting sleepy from the donation, then instantly kicked me out and a lawyer has been obtained.
Everyone here at the Plasma center are exceptional people. They literally go above and beyond to help you and to make sure your comfortable. The security is very kind and I absolutely enjoy the atmosphere
Everybody is nice! I'm glad they got the new machines! Makes everything quicker. They provide plenty of entertainment while you donate as well!
Best place to go to when you don't have any cash also the employees are top-tier nice and very very very VERY RESPECTFUL AND WHEN IT COMES TO EMERGENCIES they stay calm I've had one and they made me feel very very safe and I wasn't scared very comforting people at this center yours truly-Sa'von Lavell Gant
Staff is really friendly and knows what they're doing compared to other places I've been
Everyone is so friendly and helpful. You are in and out. The best donation center there is, and I have been to them all
Everyone is very friendly and kind there really isn't one that stands out more than anyone else. They all deserve raises!
Staff is wonderful! Process was simple, pleasant. Will definitely recommend!
I think everyone is very friendly. I also get right in and don't have to wait.
I had a super good experience there for my first time unfortunately it was unable to donate due to my blood pressure being too high. Monica was the best super super helpful, very thorough very professional genuine smile awesome. Doug super annoying, in everybody's business doesn't seem to get along with too many people there everybody seems to have the same feeling as me of being annoying and just a better environment if he was not there honestly
This is the most amazing place I've ever been in my whole life I love Junie,Mariah,Royce, Ashley,
Been doing this for a while now and usually everything is very smooth and no problems. Have had a couple issues where I was told my blood pressure was too high. I never run high and when taken anywhere else or at home it is always fine. Facility is clean. They have an app that once you get it set up and working it allows you to do your check in ahead of time and just scan your code when you arrive for your appointment and that makes everything way faster than doing all the questions on their computer. E
Super friendly staff, very clean facility, don't mind spending time here donating.
Where is plasma center money doesn't come until the next day sometimes or the next hour and no one is there to help you
Never been here before looking for donation centers and comparing what they pay donors and stuff. Does anyone know what their donor pay is now?
Great staff! Clean environment! Always a great experience coming in to donate! My favorite donation center by far!! : )
Everyone that works there is very nice and polite and does a A+job handling me as a patient
They Are Very Great Big Shout Out To All Of The Staff & My Girls Mariah & Ely ?? My Favss
Since moving to appointments, I'm in and out quickly. The staff know their stuff. Most have been doing their job for years if not over a decade. They laugh, joke, and make the experience stress free.
Amazing service and fantastic staff love looking forward to my donations Mariah Kaleigh Michelle, Ashley
Amazing staff fast reliable best center in independence for sure Ely deserves a raise
Juni is the best cms. Ely and mitch are the best phlebotomist here ! I love this place ??
The best center I've ever been too. All the staff is GREAT!!!!
I've been donating here for quite a while it's always has been a good experience. It's been fast and slow at times but that's not do to the employees they all seem to take pride in the work they do. I'm glad and happy to know that the donation I make each time goes to help others in need of it. I've been going every week at least two times which is the limit you are able to donate. It's a great source of income it help you to help others that's for sure! They also run programs or activities that you can tak
All the employees are great! I won't go anywhere else!
Had the pleasure of being helped by Brandi for several of the steps for the new donor process. She was very nice and thorough in explaining everything for me! All of the other staff members who helped me were also very pleasant! Even when a snafu with my documents sent me back home for my marriage license, I feel like the process went as smoothly and fast as humanly possible!
I like coming to this donation center because they really work with me and my veins. Nice place to come to
The process went faster than other places even though I was a new donor
They good at the jobs and and nice every time I come in
I can't say enough good things about the facilities and the staff they treat you with the upmost respect they will call u by your name when talking to you as well as make personal connections with you Ps juni and mariah are my favorites to be stuck by royce is a close 3rd
The staff here appears to be pretty low skilled. I was denied because they could only find 1 "good" vein, but I've had numerous knee surgeries and the vein they said was bad has been used for the IV every single time without the nurses ever missing it. Confusing, considering they made me watch a video about how badly plasma is needed. If it's not 1000% easy they seem to give up. Edit: I went to a different center and donated with 0 issues. Yall are just lazy
One of our workers a great place to donate at Love ?? the donation center here !they are all so wonderful
I love the staff and the environment, they really care
Pleasant and fast. They have really improved their services in the last year. They are very respectivable of your privacy. The monthly bonus has improved with the company. The employees are very friendly with everyone. The management has improved so much that they actually communicate the the guest.
Pretty quick and easy process and nice employees aside from today's visit. It took an hour and a half just to get to the screening where they prick your finger and check vitals. They had been extremely slow earlier so they sent a text out letting people know that it would be a good time to come in. I didn't receive one, but signed up for the service while I was here. Then they sent most of their employees home early. Then, people start filing in and there were only a few employees to handle of them.
Sometimes to slow, I think that is more of a staffing issue, but overall pretty great people and a fun environment more often than not. More talent here than Biolife in Liberty for sure! Keep up the good work.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! STAFF IS AWESOME!! MARIAH,ELLE,ROYCE AND CREE!! THE TRUTH.
Awesome staff working there! Always take excellent care of me when I donate. Everyone?s extremely friendly! I wouldn't go to any other place to donate, they're the best! They get you in and out in a timely manner that's always safety/patient care first. Everyone seems to know what they're doing and for new employees they train A1 training. I recommend this place to anyone that's having thoughts of donating or people that have donated in the past somewhere else to come to BPL!
The people are nice and they have hired more people. I will say that because one person gets hot they have it so cold in there it's uncomfortable. Colder than an OR all because one person gets to hot. I shake and shiver every time I go even with a coat on. It should be more comfortable than an ice box. Its so cold it's rude and today it was especially bad.
The staff here changes out a lot but there is usually at least one person who can stick a needle properly. Is fairly fast service. Would recommend that they might increase pay incentives a bit more though, it is pretty low and for something as valuable as Plasma, I would think the payout would be better. Very cold, but that's for sterilization reasons. Overall, a pretty solid place to go, they don't break any rules and the workers are nice.
Friendly staff. Best place ever!!! The manager is the most awesome person ever. They are fast and efficient. Never have had a problem.
Most of the staff are very polite except I had a young lady today practically yell at me when I tried to reach for a mask. I also needed help with one of the keyosk not working and didn't get any. I usually don't like leaving bad reviews but this made me feel a bit uncomfortable and I left instead of donating
I'll start by saying the lady at the front desk was very helpful. But the staff member DAVAUNTE is very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional he needs to be fired asap for someone that has gotta so many complaints I don't see how he still working there he by far made my first time experience there the worst I won't ever be going back
Quick and efficient. Staff isn't half bad. Overall cool environment??
Everyone is very friendly and does a great job
It has a great core staff, great incentives for new and regular donors, my average time total is about 1 and half hours per visit. Jeff, Krystal, Mel and Dave are awesome! The new summer hours are in place! However, I dislike the policy of not being able to get my blood pressure (vitals) done before I get pinched, which raises my heart rate.
Horrible place. Don't go in there after they bruised you look at you different talk shit.
Very helpful teamwork is awesome mine blowing I love donating at this establishmentGo Biomat
The staff is very efficient. Sure it takes time to get you all done, so if you are a big hurry and don't have 2-2.5 hours spare time then don't take it out on the staff they are doing their very best. To the staff keep up the good work. B.J. Steward
The staff are great. The wait times are relatively low. My only suggestion for the company would be keep turn over low, pay your people well and give them their bonuses deserved at the end of the year.
Got there around 9 am, took until about 1:45 pm to gwr done as a new donor. The staff (few that were there) were friendly and helpful. I was a new donor, which is probably why it took as long as it did.
Most of the staff are nice and pleasant. My only gripe is the wait time to review blood work results. How is it that a medical doctor can go a week without showing up to work to do something that takes a couple minutes at most. I gave a blood sample on Jan 25th and was told the results will be back 10 to 14 days. Here I am nearly 30 days later and still waiting on this medical examiner. At a time when people are really struggling this should be a priority..
Great environment, good staff for years.
Compared to Octapharma, this place is staffed much better plus I like & have gotten to know their staff! I knocked them a star because of pay & "playing games with promotions" (I would rather you just pay more each time!!!) I believe this is the best one at getting you in & out in the city!
The best service I could receive from a donation center. They actually take their time with doing their jobs and try to be as efficient as possible when handling you. 10 out of 10 would recommend ??
23rd st Independence,Mo Very unorganized, Staff vaping, uneducated staff, rude staff, & facility was very dirty & didn't have head phones. If you're a new donor you're practically helping yourself. There's no one to guide you through your process. It took me a total of 5/12 hrs just to screen, see doc, get poked & donate. I hate this facility will not return. Very Unprofessional!
Good vibes and good people to help you.
Very nice and hospitable.
I was nervous but I really wanted to donate plasma. I was treated very kindly and respectfully by all of the staff at BPL. Their facility was clean and comfortable. I am glad I chose them and I am happy to say I now make donations for such a worthy cause on a regular basis. Thanks BPL for helping me do this!!
Ive personally never had any issues with anyone there. The people that ive met are very nice and friendly. I would just hope that some of the patrons use better hygiene practices.??
The whole staff is very kind. Everybody was always smiling and they had a good work camaraderie. I'm not going to lie I am terrified of that big needle but it makes me feel good that my plasma could be put to good use . Also it was money I desperately needed. I am back on the medication that prevents me from donating. BPL will never know the tight spot they helped get me out of I would totally take on that big needle again to donate if allowed
Great staff! Holly calls you by name...great memory and friendly. Krystal knows her stuff! It's a joy donating for a good cause when you have such a top notch staff.
of the donation places I have been to in Kansas City this is absolutely the best place around. The people are beyond friendly and nice. Unlike CSL plasma on main Street this place is an absolute wonder and amazement to be at. I have never met a nicer people. Plus most of them are very professional and actually know their job and can actually stick a needle. You would think the location would be bad but even the people coming in to donate are friendly. All around it's a pretty damn good experience. I give th
I have donated at all four plasma centers in the metropolitan area and this one is by far the best. The staff is very professional and the place is very clean. I'm never in the place very long.. the lines are usually short if there's one at all.I've read some of the other reviews and I don't believe anyone's been here longer than 3 hours. If you are reading this and thinking about picking a place to go pick this one trust me..
3 times. 3 times i have visited this facility in an attempt to donate, as a new donor, and have not been able to. 1hr round trip each time. 1st visit, made it through orientation all the way to medical. Sat for 2 hours waiting on medical and finally just had to leave. 2nd visit, got right into medical, was told i had to wait 2 more days to donate (understandable), amd was told to come back sunday and i would get right through and be able to donate. 3rd visit/attempt, get their at 10am, when they open (?), c
Long wait times early in the day or later in the day your best bet is around 2 pm. The staff is always gossiping about each other in front of donors. Staff is always cussing and being unprofessional. I've donated for the last 4 years at csl then bpl because I moved, never seen so many people have problems or need med attention as I have at Bpl. Something made me feel funny like I was going to pass out now I have had panic attacks since the last 2 months would not recommend to anybody period. The only 2 work
Without a doubt the worst plasma place me and my family have donated at. The 2 woman ?managers? or ?leads? are the most disrespectful people I have EVER spoken with. They will do anything to keep from giving their referrals and new donation bonuses. There are workers there who have blown my brother in laws vein, they poked all the way through my sister in laws vein, and they genuinely are not educated nearly enough to work in a facility like this. Biolife or octapharma are WAY better.
This place is great! Just started. 3 star review instead of 5 is that someone got a new donor plasma welcome bag, I did not. Also it is a pain that if u take one medication u have to go back to get ok 'd and then go back in a long line to get vitals after u already waited once. I waited in line with 10 people had to go ok my medicine and waited back in line with 10 people all wrong! Need a better system than that, sorry!
If your thinking about donating highly recommended staff is super friendly and will great you by name wouldn't donate anywhere else Ps Juni is my personal favorite
I wish I didn't have to leave any stars one is way to much for my situation,Donated today after not having the time to I finished my donation at 2pm 25 min process when I checked my balance my pay out wasn't applied I spoke with staff about what time could I expect it to be on my card I was told give it 30 mins 5 hours later I still haven't gotten my pay out, Not to mention I've been calling back to back for hours of course no answer, No answer actually Anytime I call I never can get any customer service, w
Well here I am again at bpl....instant regrets. I feel like since I gave them a bad review they have punished me. So this is the third spe i have given in a month which is the way they test your blood you're supposed to only have to give one every now and then but this is my third in a month because of some computer glitch here now I don't get my $45 they're going to give me 15 just to draw my blood also instead of being apologetic or understanding the manager just made excuses Alex the intake person or wha
I like the fact that they know my name and I'm not just a number and they're always looking for ways not to hurt me instead of just sticking a needle in and praying to God it works. I like the fact that it's small and intimate and they move with precision and fast pace
Long waits, nurses cant find your vein so they jab you multiple times per visit. I'd give this 0/5 if i could after talking to Harry
The staff is friendly and informative. After you get past your initial visit you can be in and out in less then an hour and half. They make it worth your while for new donors also.
From the time you enter the door they're saying hello how you doing and it's such a comfortable environment I love going there to donate and to help others safe treat you like family there whenever I leave from there I always leave with a smile on my face BPL is a very good place to donate wouldn't choose nowhere else and I've been to a couple of others and I will say hands down BPL is one of the best places I've donated thank you BPL workers staff and my son he works there too I'm so proud of him his name
This facility was ok at first, given that it was fairly new, just opened and had launching issues. BUT...the having to wait while standing in line ( I've donated at MANY facilitys, and this has never been an issue )..on top of the fact that there are many contradictory procedures and rules you must adhere to...so many donor to admin issues..when you need 4 managers on the floor to moniter and make people are doing thier jobs correctly. Something isn't right....you got untrained ( or barely trained people ).
The people that work here are the best. They are friendly, tolerant, and are great at remembering you. Especially if you donate regularly. I go out of my way just to come here.
Nice staff, they got bought out, used to be BPL. Still took me 6 hours to donate, so the slowest experience I've ever had at a plasma donation place. Better prices than they used to have though, extremely long waits though
I haven't been here in awhile but as soon as I got back, it's like I hadn't left at all. Everyone I came across was lovely and mega professional. This is the only place, as for as donations go, for me. Also SHOUT OUT TO MYA, a new sticker, she was AMAZING.
Best [ V ]AMPIRE SHOW IVE BEEN TOO. RIGHT STICK RIGHT PRICE ,SMILING Faces, Professionals at their [ B ]EST. THANK U
Very clean and great service! All of the employees are friendly and highly responsible! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try it!
I have been coming here for a little while now an they are very organized an have great staff members. I've been to other places an like this one best
I love this BPL. They are always friendly and professional. There is very minimal wait time. The hours are perfect for my schedule.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
