Still.havent paid me the $85 for the promotion in was under. I've emailed twice and no replies so a review it is. Came in under the get 125 each donation for your first four donations as long as they were done in 30 days. First two were fine but after the third one which was still within the correct time frame they only paid me 40 plus my two referrals for a total of 140, it should have been 125 and then the 100 for the referrals for 225 total but only got 140 as stated. Tried to be patient and emailed twic

I have been donating plasma for year and never once had a bad experience until yesterday. The young staff members that work there are all attentive and welcoming except for the tall blonde girl. I have witnessed her many times being rude to other donors and to even her fellow colleagues. I was hoping she wouldn't be the one to assist me, but she did and with an attitude. She appeared to be very hostile and disgruntled about something. She didn't ask me for my information such as donor number or full name

I tried to give this place no stars but google made me give at least one... So today I tried to help a friend get their medical info from this place and they denied their "donor" their info. So my friend is part of the tetanus program and donating plasma and every 90 days they get a TD-tetanus-diptheria shot. Which is odd because the standard in any other medical practice is once every 10 years but will get a booster if injured after 5 years. So every 90 days is weird and unsure how safe that is. Neverthele

They are an absolute mess. One of MANY examples of their incompetence is that when they were switching from one arm to the other (because they infiltrated my vein), they ripped the needle out of my arm and blood went everywhere, because the phleb got confused on which needle she connected to the line. I didn't complain at the time, because I needed the money. I think that's why they don't get the complaints they deserve, because we're all just out here trying to make ends meet, and keep a roof over our head

I have been donating at this location since 2015. I find the staff and floor personnel to be very friendly and courteous. The management at this facility maintains a good training environment for the young people coming to work the floor dealing with the donors. I witnessed many, many young people come in to work and see them grow and mature as individuals. There are so many here that deserve recognition for the work they do, their positive attitudes they project, and the dedication to doing their very best

Grifols Biomat in Iowa City has the easiest process, friendly/competent staff that makes the experience pleasant! My husband and 2 sons donate also. The staff always remembers us all, "the family" :) 2 staff members stand out, Elle and Bud! All the staff is great! I've also referred a friend who feels the same way.

They won't allow people who live in the shelter to donate for literally no reason OTHER than they live at the shelter. If you people actually cared about saving lives that wouldn't matter. I've donated HUNDREDS of times all together from whole blood to plasma. But I guess I'll just save my universal veins for people who actually care about saving lives.

Fredy is an outstanding worker!! He is always reliable and nice to the donors!

I have never had a negative experience at this center. Staff are efficient and kind, and they make a point to ensure my donations are smooth and painless. Elle, Caitlyn, Bud, Fredy, and the rest of the crew are consistent, attentive, and very focused, and make every donation a great experience.

I recently visited a plasma center that exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who were eager to assist me. They made me feel comfortable and at ease right away. The workers at this plasma center were incredibly fast and efficient, which made the entire process quick and painless. I was impressed by their attention to detail and how smoothly everything ran. I was in and out in no time at all, and I felt confident that

I love coming here to donate! Elle is wonderful. Personable, funny, and knows what she's doing. Tanner, Bud, and Marquita are also awesome. Keep it up y'all ??

This center is so efficient. I really appreciate the appointment system. I can be in an out in under an hour most days. Definitely recommending this place to my friends. It's an easy source of income and staff members are very approachable.

Good people. They've treated me well. Good at what they do.

I've been donating here for just shy of a year and every time I have always had a great experience! Shout out to Val, Haley, and Ruth for always being super friendly and hospitable. Even when super busy, they're always well composed and find a way to make the donation go smoothly.

Extremely rude customer service they've lied twice now on top of literally snapping and yelling at new donors. They tell you to update your id then I go in after that and now I'm yelled at and snapped at because I didn't bring a bill or a lease. I'm driving from out of town just to come and try out this new center but I'd they just wanna yell and snap at people then why should I go out of my way.

i love Fredy!!! he's the world's best phlebotomist

This facility has Great crew of staff. Everybody is very friendly and welcoming . Cable tv would be nice for local weather, etc.

Ive been going to Biomat for a few years now and the staff has always been friendly and accommodating, but none of them have compared to Val and the exceptional customer service she has provided. She's extremely friendly/enthusiastic, makes good conversation/actually wants to get to know you, always has a smile on her face and will go above and beyond to make sure donors have a good experience. For example, I once told her that I was annoyed with myself for forgetting my headphones and she instantly went an

Unorganized, long wait times, have to pay attention or you might get skipped. Waited for over an hr before even being stuck and then people who had been here 30-40 min less than me were getting stuck first! Not the 1st time this has happened either and they were not new donors. Pretty sure I've seen friends of employees get to skip past everyone as well. Employees chit chat w each other way to much about non-work related and sometimes inappropriate subjects. Last few times has taken 2.5 to 3 hrs each time!

Fredy did amazing great energy and great his job

Val is the epitome of customer service. Every time she sticks me with a needle it is fills me with a feeling that is akin to ecstasy. Fredy is also pretty cool. Would recommend donating there. I was not told to do this.

I have donated at a few different centers in a couple different states. This place is the quickest and friendliest. Ellen is great! Very proficient, friendly, and quick

I have recently begun to donate 1-2x per week, and am very pleased with the simplicity of using the app to pre-schedule and completing the survey in advance of my arrival. It has made my wait times for my physical assessment practically nonexistent. I'd be remiss if I didn't expressly state my ever-growing appreciation for Val. She's extraordinarily competent, and I admire her commitment to providing compassionate care, which is delivered in a thoughtful and kindhearted manner, with just a bit of dry humor

Caring staff. Care about health of patients and donors. Good service. It's v important to be transparent about medical history when donating. God bless and thanks for the dedication to helping others.

Val is a PERFECT phlebotomist. Hands down one of the best experiences I've ever had. I refuse to go anywhere else to donate as long as Val works at this center. She deserves a raise!!

Been coming here for about 6 months now, and a majority of the time, things go smoothly. Today was a rare instance where they did not. 3 1/2 hours from walk-in to walk-out (8:30 to 11:55) and from start to finish, I was at the "front" of the line. Things went smoothly until getting downstairs. Then it started to pile up with about 8 of us waiting. About 30 min later, the gal at the counter started sending people over to the section who had literally only been waiting 1-2 minutes after coming from upstairs.

Grifols is my preferred location when it comes to donating plasma. I have been donating for over two years now and am super impressed with how they run their operation. The staff is super friendly and they do their best to get you in and out in a timely manner. Shoutout to Jess and Hailey for going above and beyond!

I get you're suppose to have a couple of hours to spare doing donations. But The wait Time is getting ridiculous. And it's unfair to those who take time out of their to do this and we have to sit and wait an hour or so just to get poked especially coming in here early in the morning. Or 30min or so to get unhooked and that time isn't being compensated. Donors have other obligations as well. Been here since 8something and I'm not going to get out of here till almost 11 or a bit after 11?.

I have been going to Grifols for some time now and Val is the absolute best. She makes donating so comfortable and relaxing as she is so down to earth with her patient's. The best needle poker around by far.

I have been donating plasma at Biomat now for 8 months.I am very pleased with all of the staff there.Phlebotomist Elle always trys to help me because i'm older and my veins are harder find. All of the people there do an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone.

I have gone to this location regularly throughout my years at college and for the most part have had nothing but positive experiences. The reason I am posting is because I feel as though something really not ok happened. the last time that i donated, the person inserting the needle was still in training which is fine but he was unsupervised and inserted the needle wrong. I had to alert the staff because I was in an incredible amount of pain. I completely understand mistakes as training new employees is v

Biomat sucks they want your plasma but won't pay U on time. Now it takes up to 24 hours for a payment to process they really suck and I know I'm not alone. I believe in the Chris Tucker process same time same time fair exchange is not a robbery but there robbing us blind and on top of it all dint even give U a heads up about your money might possibly hit your card the next day. That's unfair to the people who rely on Uber or Lyft to transport to the donation place and back home what about them. Biomat genui

The people here are so polite and work hard! I love it when they have FX on with really good movies to entertain us. The workers here are more caring and like to talk to us. They want to make sure that we have the best donation! When you first donate here just be prepare for about a 4 hour process. It can get really busy.

I was a regular donor at BioLife for nearly five years, but after countless bad experiences, I decided to come to BioMat. I've never had the any terrible sticks like I did at BioLife, and I think that speaks to the experience of the phlebotomists here. Val, Emily, Keegan, and Hailey know me by face and name, and I look forward to coming back each time for my donation because it's no longer the ordeal it was at BioLife. Also, I appreciate that I can sit in a chair and wait to be called. BioLife has you stand

An average plasma donation center. As clean as it needs to be, but not more. Meets FDA regulations, doesn't go out of its way to be extra safe any more than liability requires. Look up Grifols for information on the national organization. Payments vary in an unpredictable manner, depending on both time of year and your program enrollment. Calling ahead is the most reliable way to receive any information about this business. You can check if you meet the requirements before donating online. Appointments are

I just want to say . . I enjoy coming In because you have wonderful staff name Val . She wonderful at her job and she alway makes me laugh and listen to my stories . I hope she never leaves.

Just went to Grifols at Iowa city,... And was told I've been permanently deferred, my first time there, always used CSL, no problems,... No explanation given other than deferred...

I can't compare with another plasma center but I have donated blood several times, twice for Red Cross and twice for Mississippi Valley, and every time I give plasma they are better at sticking the needles in the arm. I have never met one person that works there and is not nice or acting professionally. I have enjoyed every time I have went and I have been going since almost a year ago. I really like the movies and shows that they play on the TVs except one movie and I'm saying this because it makes it a be

I really enjoy donating at Biomat Iowa City. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming, especially Val. She always chats with me about my day and puts a smile on my face. The place is very clean and professional.

I love coming and donating because of the atmosphere. The workers there are really nice and are extremely informative about the donating process. The receptionist are very friendly and so are the donor floor. I look forward to coming and donating, not only am I helping someone in need but also being compensated for my time.

Nice place, have been donating here because it's close to my house, but there have been a couple of times now where I sign up for a specific time, complete all the questionnaires prior to arrival, and then wait in the waiting area for like 30 minutes while other people come and go.

Val Diaz is one of the best phlebotomists I've had since going here! Every stick has been precise, painless and she makes the experience great.

I always feel safe and comfortable here. Val , the phlebotomist, always makes the process feel smooth and effortless. Anyone that one wants to donate plasma should definitely give this place a try.

Every time I go I'm greeted with a smile. They're always so supportive and keep me wanting to come back. They haven't messed up poking my arm and I'm very appreciative.

Every encounter I have has been great. The people who work here are cool and help you feel comfortable even with the needle involved! I highly recommend going and helping someone who needs plasma!

Always a great experience when I come in to donate. Staff is very friendly and professional. I also like how they have comment cards where you can write reviews. They really care about the donors and are open to comments on how to make it an even better experience.

So I'll give some back story as fast as possible so they know exactly what happened. I've donated here a year ago and they were great. I moved away (and donated plasma) to a different location. I have never had a problem when doing a pre-screening. I went in today and they do at the door temp checks, as they should, and temp was neither high or low at the door. I took my weight and I told the person I was working with i had a busy day ahead of me. When we took my temperature the first time, the machine they

Val us an amazing phlebotomy. She always remembers my husband and I and always asks about our bulldogs. She is so personable.

This last year of donating has been great. The whole team is amazing. Thanks to Argentina, Haley and Val! #FreeLunch #TeamVal

I was very happy to see 3 members of my Red Team on the floor this morning, Zach, Melissa and Laila have Always done a Amazing job dealing with my tricky veins and I appreciate you all. Thanks for making my donations run nice and easy, Full Speed/Full Pressure.??????

Great staff with comfortable atmosphere.

This place is a joke. I ate a complete meal before hand, and they wouldn't even run my stats before telling me I needed to eat more. I've been donating for years in another state without issues, and they told me I would need to come back after I ate. They also don't pay as well as other places. **EDIT** Clearly my health and safety is my top priority, that's why I ate a balanced meal, drank plenty of fluids, and got a good nights rest. The fact that your staff is un-educated on what a balanced meal is, is

Upon my first (and last) visit here, I was very turned off by the attitude of the man at the front desk...and apparently other people are, too. While trying to sign up, he asked me to read a sentence out loud. I followed the directions, then man looked disgusted and told me with a sassy tone not to read it "with whimsical overtones". I read it in my normal speaking voice and did everything asked of me. His comment was extremely rude and NOT necessary. I will not be returning to a place that treats cooperati

Very unorganized. Called to make sure that I was okay to donate, drove an hour, and then was told there was a misinterpretation. There is one employee I look forward to seeing, however. I can't recall her name but she's a blonde and she is very kind.

The staff here is unmatched, like Valerie Diaz for example. I don't know what this place would be without her. She saved my life. #teamval

Alway fast when we go to donate and Val is always so nice and in great mood always a treat to have her be the one to stick me because can never feel the needle go in

Very polite staff! I had never donated plasma before and was so happy that everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful. 10/10 would recommend coming here!

I made a reservation and drove 50 minutes to get there. We got there 30 minutes early for them to tell us that they had 4 new donors and they couldn't honor the appointment I made multiple days prior..

It is the worst place I have ever donated.my wife an I have tried 5time to donate at the same time an they always reject one of us all the time they also reuse the needles over an over ""they say they clean them"" so my friends dont go here u will regret it I wouldn't even trust them with anything. Plus I think the guys here try to sleep with the girls so watch out if u try to go here its weird

They offer appointments through their website, which would be great if they actually kept them. They are consistently late, and today I've spent 45 minutes sitting in the waiting room past my appointment time.

I got a tattoo in June and with paperwork to prove sterility. I should have been able to donate 4 months after getting it, in October, since I did the paperwork, but they made everything so complicated and never answered the phone, that I still haven't been able to donate and its December.

Super easy and convenient. Very friendly staff, especially Elle and Caitlynn!

Doesn't matter if you make an appointment or walk in because you wait the same amount of time regardless. Wait time upstairs is typically 15-20 minutes. Downstairs it depends on who is working, most will just stand around and talk to each other before and after your donation. If you can, go to Biolife in Coralville instead.

Val has such an awesome personality and is a great worker!!! As well as barb and Celeste!

Donated for years when it was biotest. The staff was great. Just moved back to the area and plan to return, hopefully there is still a familiar face or two, always had positive experiences there.

The service is great. If you make an appointment you can get in and get out fairly quickly! Plus, you save people when you donate. It doesn't hurt, you shouldn't be scared, come and donate plasma!

I have donated plasma at Biolife in Waterloo, Biolife in Coralville, and Biotest in Iowa City. Of those three plasma centers, Biotest has consistently been the most professional and is now the only center I go to. It is nice that you can stop in whenever, but I generally schedule an appointment because it is a popular place and is often busy. If you do schedule in advance, you will be placed in line in front of the people who are walk-ins. It usually takes me 75-90 minutes from the time I walk in and th

Val is the best at biomat! She had great conversation and was very professional. I definitely recommend this location for plasma donation!!

People are super nice and great people. They have March madness on the TV's which is awesome. They also try to get you out of here as soon as possible.

I love coming here. The people are nice and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place if you are considering donating do the first time..

The staff do a phenomenal job at making donors feel valued and the wait-times are very reasonable!

They could use more employees, but what place doesn't need more. Relatively simple process to get paid for basically waiting around.

This is one of thee BEST places to Donate the staff is Phenomenal, they make you feel so comfortable, and they are all so very Friendly, if your looking for a Place to make a few extra bucks and your located in the Iowa city Area well the Iowa city Biotest Plasma Center is the place to go.....

Been coming here for a while and it keeps getting slower. Been waiting for an hour and a half today before even getting brought down. It's been progressively getting worse since I've been coming.

The best place I've donated so far, a fast, friendly and easy process. Would highly recommend if you live in the area

Can't wait til Amanda come back some of the staff is very unprofessional they talk way to much and they don't call people according to when they come!been coming here for 5 years and never been through this argatina is so unprofessional and staff need to know that.sad ???????

Been going here for years - it's the best place that you can go. Friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and they follow procedures to a T.

Biotest has always been incredibly friendly, great shows and movies always playing and I've never felt uncomfortable or scared!

I was treated unprofessionally by the staff at the facility and will not be coming back. Go to BioLife if you want to be treated with respect and be helped by people who actually care.

Valerie did an amazing job when I donated! Would always recommend

Don't give you enough money. You'll feel drained for three days after donating and 2 hours of donation time for 70$. No thanks

They held me captive in the basement until I gave them a nice google review

Very slow...takes OVER 2 hours usually for the whole process. Many walk-ins and appointments don't help. Waiting takes longer than donating.

Best plasma donation center I have ever been in. The staff is very nice and professional!

Elle was really great and gentle with the stick

The service is great and the location is within walking distance of the University.

Welcoming and friendly environment with staff that will make you feel welcomed in every aspect.

All very cool people friendly and helpful great work ladies and gentlemen
