Reviews Summary

The reviews show a polarized experience: many praise friendly, helpful staff and efficient service, particularly for first-time donors, while others criticize long wait times, unprofessional behavior, and inconsistent policies. Negative reviews highlight rude staff, understaffing, and technical issues like incorrect deferrals or payment delays. Positive experiences often mention clean facilities and good compensation, but frequent complaints about disorganization and poor treatment suggest significant variability in service quality. Honestly some days are alright if the right people who actually care about their job are there other then that customer sevice is not good at all majority of the females have the WORST attitudes and the attitudes reflect how they treat customers it sucks being the one pricked with the needle with the person that has the attitude or doesn't want to be at their job that day it hurts more then it need to. Also when the machines are having a problem 1 time out of 50 they will check other then that a red or oran

Disclaimer to all This is the only referral you can use my name until the New Year 2027. Come save a life that needs this Medical change and the coolest and improved medication and would love if my blood changes the medical world take 30.00 and make a profitable stock profile/in black leather book that the company can do for me. Thank you, Your blood bank referral friend Only for this (Sheena Moore)

Tried to donate to get some extra money until payday. Was denied the first time because my iron was low, went back today and a lady who looked like she was supposed to had retired years ago comes to me ?why didn't you come earlier ? we can't accept you now, we're about to close in 30 minutes. With an attitude. I stated that it's fine, next time express that I would need to do the process over again. Mind you I had never spoke to the lady.ugh

Nurse Deborah was amazing!! I was a 1st time donor, and she was both patient, and very helpful throughout the process!!

I went and was told to take a seat in the new donor section, had a seat.......waited, waited, waited....from 7 -9 no one ever addressed me, or spoke, I just sat all to find out I needed an appointment. I learned that by listening to another woman talk to the tech(older lady) Beyond livid of the lack of communication and waste of my time was horrendously unprofessional, from someone with a permanent frown.

Horrible staff, completely unprofessional and lazy. They'll do anything to get out of having to work, avoid this place unless you wanna deal with trashy garbage people.

The staff here is great I have been coming here for some years and have had many great experiences, recently Ivan and Paige both waited on me and took me down after my donation session was over I was in and out in no time. Thank you both for your service and thank you to Ms Tanya as well she is always so pleasant and helpful. Thank you Grifols for all you do.

GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR & ALL STAFF MAKES YOU FEEL COMFTY AND SAFE. VERY CLEAN AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AMAZING. SHOUT OUT TO MISS DEBRAH AND MISS TANYA and my favorite sticker is STAR

Went back after years of being gone Sandy's made me feel at ease as I was nervous great service from everyone e

They got they favorite donors so these ladies came in after every one sitting down waiting and they let the two of them skip every one who had been waiting be for them my appointment was at 10:30 it's now going on 11:30 and I haven't been seen yet

We love this place always clean efficient and the people are knowledgeable and kind. It nice not to have a bruise or wound every time I donate or he always I have a pleasant experience. Even when I am deffered I know that they try every chance I have at donate if I can't they will explain everything.

For some dumb reason they deferred me because I was hot on a sunny day, didn't even let me rest in the ac before hand.

Never in my life have I ever heard such rude staff telling prospective new donors they have to have a phone to donate. I'll contact the corporate office to file a complaint about their rude staff telling new donors lies

This place said I was deferred because I was too hot, of course I'm hot it's literally hot outside, they need to do better and stop with these meaningless deferrals.

The team in the back is awesome. Ms aurora is by far the top person back there. The team thats usually scanning people through is? for lack of better words, mixed in reviews. The last time i was getting scanned through i had someone freak out on me for something that i have had for as long as i can remember. At this point ive been donating for months. They said i couldnt donate until i get it checked out. I went to the hospital to get their problem checked out. Came back to be nothing to worry about like i

I am SOOO appreciate of Miss Aurora and Que! They are the absolute best! No matter what time or day. You can count on them. I'm so thankful to have them at this center. They deserve their flowers too. Keep up the good work and please let them know how important they are ?? the staff is amazing Miss Mary and of COURSE MISS Tanya!

This place will do anything to do defer customers all because I went to a chiropractor they will not let me donate I don't suggest anybody doing here

Every time I went they said iron was low , blood pressure high 30min later I went to another center and donated no problems and that was 4th time they said this

Deborah the head nurse was awesome!!! She is very professional and efficient!!! She was friendly and smiling!!! My questions and concerns were answered!!! I am enjoying the Blanding location - the environment and atmosphere are excellent!!!

Bathroom is disgusting and no one ever cleans the building. The bathroom is so filthy someone had to leave the door open because of the foul smell. Had to wait 3 hours the employees said they didn't have medical and they open a hour late. GET IT TOGETHER!! Why would someone donate at a center where there are rarely employees working and the employees there don't do a good job!!??!

My experience since the first time I walked in was amazing. My first interaction was with Jared. He explain everything about me giving a sample and what to expect. The second time I came in I was discouraged and I even was told by the representative that she would go get someone and never did. That is when Mary had came to me and assisted me. If it wasn't for Mary and Jared then I would have went somewhere else. I am appreciative for their customer service. I will be returning.

I've been a few times now. Everyone is very friendly & nice. I haven't had a bad stick. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer, it depends on the time of day. It's quick, easy money & I read my book.

Admission and Medical Examination staff were wonderful, attentive, and were quite productive. That is the end of my positive experience. As soon as I got to the donation floor I could sense the lack of interest for carrying out work duties the employees displayed. I spent well over half an hour awaiting to be hooked up. I am still waiting as I write this review... will not be returning anytime soon.

So now this place instead of closing early just tells you that your levels are too low to donate so that you have to leave of the four times I've donated last I've been deferred 3 and even the last one the lady said my levels rebounded so quickly it made no sense how I was So low in the first place. This will be my last time coming and I suggest anyone else choose a different location as to not waste your time I've been coming here for about 2 years and this is the final straw now that they've done this.

When I first began donating my experience was always very pleasant. The staff was incredibly friendly and paid great detail to my well-being and health. My total time at the facility was about 1-2 hours and I felt the compensation was fair. Recently they made three changes back to back. They closed on the weekends, they stopped drug testing, and started taking male donors. Unfortunately they did not hire additional staff before making these changes and now it takes over an hour just to be screened. They ha

Update 3 stars Bobby is a great tech. Aura very competent also Meagan all great, but over worked. Most of the staff are impatient and not courteous or understanding at all wich adds to the anxiety that I have being stuck with a needle. UPDATE my wife denied cause medication. She was told need proof of last dose taken. No way to prove what Grigols Require. Also the Manager is a competent Man and he will listen. Hello. I arrived at 458 on Friday. They tuned me away even thoe they close at 6. I called and wa

I have been to a couple of donation centers in the area, but this is the one I prefer. Compensation is much better than the center in Orange Park. Sometimes it can take a while to get screened, especially later in the day, but after that the process is relatively quick and easy. Managers have been very accommodating whenever I have had a question or concern. It would be nice to see the check in process added to the app.

I donate plasma NOT only because it pays good but I love to save someone's life as well so that reward alone is worthwhile. I've donated plasma now since 2022 all over Jacksonville. Grifols- Biomat USA in the shopping center across the street from Winn Dixie and McDonalds off of Blanding Blvd is the #1 Plasma Center to go to I promise you! If you want to donate plasm this is the Best of the Best here in Jacksonville! Top staff & very professional U have Que, Aura, Keniesha,, Felix, Bobby that's just to na

Way understaffed and way too slow. Went in for 12 o'clock appointment, at 1 was still waiting to be seated in a bed, with about 10 other people waiting, and more than half the beds empty.

I'm a nurse and I wanted to start donating plasma so I knew what to tell my patients to expect. Money is tight and times are hard, retired ppl on fixed incomes use this compensation to help make ends meet. Well, I waited 2 hrs to speak to anyone, then after another hour and half of interview and videos. I was then taken to the donor bed where an angry little girl came looked at both my arms huffed and stomped away only to return to tell me I was getting paid for the visit but that I was not welcome back at

This place just needs to be shut down & send the employees they have to another facility. There are never enough workers here. Everytime I come here I'm here for hours. Here now & have been here for over 2 hours & I still haven't been called on the table to donate. Money is not worth this. This building is a disgrace compared to the other centers I've been to. Definitely my last time at this destination.

I wouldnt say the staff was rude but i have been siting here. For almost a hour and i still havent gotten processed at all . it shouldnt be bo reason a staff memeber that supposed to be up front taking care of the new donors. Walk to tge back and never came out . this center is so unorganized is bad for business.no one should be waiting for hours just to get processed and donate. If i have seen 5. People leave cause it was taking too long .so this dont get takin care off you will lose more new donors in the

Really great place if you wanna make some extra $$$...The staff hear are so helpful and nice. I've only been twice so far but I will be coming back. Ty Biomat for everything.

Been trying for 2 days to get in touch with someone by phone. Makes me think this place is too short staffed. So why would I consider donating here again? Left last time due to staffing. Not about to risk getting air in my vein due to some overworked staffer making a mistake.

I never had any problems. Compared to other reviews I thought they were pretty awesome. And I'm hoping it stays that way. Staff is usually very friendly with me and I'm not crazy about the wait but I guess that's how all of them are. I know that if you come in early in the morning usually you only have to wait about 45 minutes. One time after donation I nearly passed out in the parking lot (Because it was really hot and I left too soon. Staff always encourage ppl to stay a while after donation so you don't

Just made my first donation on a Saturday morning. I was there exactly 2 hrs, which didnt seem too bad. Most of it was paperwork. The actual donation took 40 minutes so I expect the next time will be shorter. The staff was friendly. Zach did a great job with the needle and explained everything to me. That guy was awesome. The donation floor is cold so dress warmly. Easy $50. 5/5 - will donate again.

Revising my review. Lowered my score. I tried going back to this location once again, but, of course, I was highly disappointed. I was turned away the first time by a young man because apparently they don't take new donors after 3pm even thought they close at 7pm. Came back, turned away again because they weren't taking new donors due to not enough staff??...went BACK on New Year's Eve at 12pm. All the lights on, sign in front of the door, but doors were locked and not a soul in sight. Their customer servic

I had stopped donating. Today was my first day back and the same thing that was happening before is still happening. They treated me the same way when they were staffed and now saying the same thing months later. When people come here to donate they tell them that they have to be here when the doors open. This guy said he works and the lady told him that she doesn't know what to tell him. He asked what the latest time he could come and both workers told him he had to be there when they opened. He said what

I've donated with this company inTallahassee and although they were always crowded and may take a little more time than normal to get to the donation bed, they weren't nearly as bad as this location! No matter what time of day these people are CONSISTENTLY slow and they wonder why lines always get backed up towards the end of the day. They always tell people to come in earlier if you don't want to wait as long. However, when you do find time to change up your schedule to come in at an earlier time of the da

Extremely rude, unprofessional, and wait time was ridiculous. I was there 3 hours before I was told I couldn't donate because I didn't have the right paperwork. Left and came back, another 3 hours and I'm told I still don't have the correct paperwork. Left and came back a final time just to be told I couldn't donate due to the medicine I take. Both previous turn downs were totally B.S. and I did have the correct paperwork. I'm a thorough person and I usually read instructions twice before beginning somethin

Slow long super long waiting periods waited 4 1/2 hours to get out on worst day and 3 on average here. You get so bored here it makes you think your going to die from boredom. Air conditioning always blasting it's ridiculous. I thank god for the sun ever time I leave this place. Staff isn't is narcissistic is they have been so that's a plus

I really love you guys and ladies. I get there early most of the time and they do their best to get me in and out so I can get to work. Unfortunately because I'm a landscaper for the elderly and disabled on the side I get scratches and scrapes every now and then. With that being said... That's why I haven't been there in 30 days. They won't let me donate when that happens. Overall I really love the environment and the staff. I don't like when I'm at the computer answering my questions and people in line are

Very good and fast get stuff done facts

Mrs.Sandy was very very pilot and very gentle she explained to me all I needed to know all the staff was very kind and very helpful to everyone needs it wasn't loud it wasn't no one complaining just a very good work environment thank you guys I will differently tell others about Grifols!!!! You Guys Rock!!!Keep Up The Positive Energy

The Staff are friendly for the most part but they never have enough people helping out in the front, which makes the process more longer. I always see bosses just walking around, not doing much when there be a long line in the front.

Seriously wish I could give 000000000000000 ?? . Corporate seriously needs to step in, FIRE every employee besides Melissa who does the screening and rehire and train ALL NEW PEOPLE!!! 98% of the employees here are very incompetent and treat you like a complete inconvenience to them! Please go donate some where else. Octapharma plasma is faster, treats the donors with compassion and integrity always! If you're a new donor be ready to be here for 5-6 hours while over hearing staff complaining about the fact

First time ever donating. Initial process was long but that's understandable. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Will be going back to see how long wait time is after the first visit. The compensation was worth the time. I don't make that much in 2 hours working overtime!

This donation center is trash. The staff are rude and not considerate of donor time. The screening process here is the longest I've seen because the staff are too busy chatting about other staff members. I'm just going here for the new donor pay after I will return to Octapharma in Orange Park it's not worth the extra couple bucks a week.

I don't understand why the screening process is extremely long at this location. You have 1 person doing the screening while the rest of the staff are b.s.ing. You have people sitting on the floor because the line is so long. You have people talking to each other and staff overheard and started arguing with the donors. If you don't like being here for 3 hours every donation go to Octapharma or Biolife. At those locations you will be in and out in a hour easy.

It is a place to come get extra money. But at what cost....... There's always a Staff member talking over you. Yet after a few arguments. I think we found we were two people trying to get one another to understand each others view point. It's like a family in there now. And I also want to thank the lady that runs that place there she's as nice as they can get. Going up there and get your blood now being new donor get $100 for first time get $100 a second time you get $90 on your fifth time let me tell you i

Donating really helps so much making ends meet. I feel blessed to be able to donate. I love Kiki, Bobby, Aura and Mary, I love the others too but those are the ones that came to mind. Thank you all for making donating easier ??.

The only reason I give this place one star is because it is clean and all the kiosks work. I wish I could say the same for the staff! I was switching from their sister center. After being pulled out of line 3 times, made to go back to the end of the same line 3 times, was told I couldn't donate there, told I couldn't go back to the other center, and basically jerked around for over an hour- my heart rate was too high for me to donate. I wonder why? They wasted my afternoon for nothing. I'm not sure if I'll

I called today (3:10pm) to see how long it had been since me and my husband donated and I had no issue getting the info I needed until I asked when the last time my husband was there. She replied with a sharp "no" and went on to tell me she couldn't do it which was fine because he was in the house and I could easily go get him. When I said, "Hold on he's right here", she said "Well put him on the phone". I understand you guys get swamped or whatever but being rude to someone that wasn't rude to you is extre

I usually have a good experience depending on the staff that's on duty. Most of the staff are extremely polite and very helpful. I have a problem specifically with ONE staff member. She's one employee responsible for patient intake. She's a short asian woman by the name of Lily or something to that effect. Before i was ever even in her booth, i knew I'd dread the moment. First, she loudly and openly complains about her job. It's pretry much ALL you hear from her while waiting. She complains about other staf

Horrible place.Never been treated so bad.Girl messed up and had to poke around 3times to get it correct but because I sucked my teeth because it hurt she hollared out I can't do this and got Melissa to take over. Then I was pretty much told I caused girl the problem because I moved.Well I guessed I shouldn't say nothing because after almost being on bed donating an hour then her friend came to remove needle and lines and proceeded t ok tell me that I can't eat which I didn't and she said my mouth was full wh

I normally am happy with this company until now. I took a blood sample or lab drawing and then they said I cannot donate until I get cleared by the results costing me drive time and gas from Middleburg to Jacksonville . so I waited and called today. Now im told I have to do another lab and wait another 2 weeks to get cleared because of an error not my end. I am irritated that I have loss not only my weekly earnings but also gas rates and time... At this rate it would be easier to just go to another facility

Lucky you guys have to be lying new donors only get two payment of $125 that's beyond rip off and then I'm looking at the referral fee why the referrals always getting lower and lower and lower only $20 for referral it's bad enough people don't want to get sticked for selling a soul honestly you guys make a million dollars probably a week a month you guys stop it stop paying us 500 100 for every donation we need to stop boycotting half of these plasma place

If you want to donate here set aside at least 2-4 hours to donate. Not enough people working makes for the ridiculous wait times. They dont use all the beds. Advice if you cam go elsewhere go. Went at 2:20pm and its been 2 hours and i haven't been stuck with the needle to donate. Been waiting in a donating bed for an hour. Takes an hour or so to donate getting $30 for this donation taking over 3hrs to do. If you want $10 an hour for a few hours come on in.

First time donating plasma and what a friendly and efficient process! The staff was extremely professional, location was clean with postive energy. Highly recommend this location. It's steady so bring a great book or full battery and enjoy your time making a difference.

Slooooow. They walk around like sulgs and have too many personal conversations. Standing in line for over an hour to be screwed and then another hour in the waiting hour. They would be more.productive if they would move with some sense of urgency. They also ? nd everything reason to deny donors

Seriously DO NOT COME HERE unless you have absolutely no other choice. They don't pay much, they are constantly short staffed with virtually negligent (and more than likely poorly paid) workers. It takes an hour regularly to go from waiting to waiting to get stuck. Thats not including the blood draw process. Seriously someone needs to whip this whole facility into shape. And pay these people appropriately so they'll actually WANT to do their jobs.

Don't ever bother referring people. I referred my husband and they told me he had to turn in the paperwork when he went to turn it in they said that I had to and i took in the paperwork and they said he had to. They give you the run around and then wont pay you saying its been too long!! Half of the employees are good and the other half will bruise your arm causing you to miss out on donations. I am fed up with this place. Money hungry and don't care about the people they use.

Where is my money 5 hrs no money yet??

Walking in is great nurse Deborah is the best she make u wanna come back friendly smile greets u every time and always wish u a wonderful day leaving she also thanks u for coming which I'm my book always make me wanna come back?..

People are super rude, management obviously don't care, n they manipulate they system to affect bonuses. Just came back to jax and every single time this barely died deadhead female management is rude n makes me wait extra for absolutely no reason, she makes people wanna just go somewhere else, n she does this on purpose. Terrible plasma center, definitely last resort place.

One of the floor managers (a short slightly round black woman with curly hair) is extremely rude and unhelpful. Everytime I have the unlucky draw of coming into contact with her she intentionally makes my visit as inconvenient as possible. She refuses to turn my machine so I can see my draw meter, (everyone else gives me the courtesy and she says I can look at my plasma to see my draw flow) she threatens me with deferral at every chance and every interraction is just negative because she acts so angry and r

Since I've been coming to BPL it's two amazing woman that works there that always makes you feel special and better about the process of donating, friendly smile, answer any questions you may have. I just wanted to take this time to thank them for their service. Mrs.Carolyn and Ms.Tanya.L Thank you

Staff is not friendly and it seems like they try to find a reason to turn people away. The most reason one they gave me was that they are not accepting male donors at this time. If they can't accept male donors, then how come any other plasma donation place I called can? I'm glad they turned me away though because Octapharma is a MUCH better place to donate!

I have donated at this location a couple times and have not had any experiences close to what the other reviewers have said. The initial processing does take a few hours, but they state that on their website. After the first donation, all other donations lasted around an hour or so (also stated on their website). I wish I remembered the names of the phlebotomists that did the venipuncture because they were great! Each time has been quick and painless. It's easy to see that they are well-practiced and know h

They've gotten a fair bit smoother then they used to be but they screen you while you're standing up which doesn't help your blood pressure at all. I was pretty sure you weren't even supposed to take someone?s bp unless they were sitting? I guess there's always room for improvement.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The employees DO NOT take their job serious enough to be working with the needles. I have stopped going here only after 3 visits. On my 3rd visit 2 days ago the phlebotomist stuck the needle TOO far into my vein and after the first cycle my arm had Swollen as big as a Baseball around the needle. I felt sick instantly and was very close to passing out. The staff panicked more than I did which made me feel even more uncomfortable! My arm is VERY SORE, STILL SWOLLEN, and BRUISED VERY BAD. I a

They waste your time & lie to send you home. I wanted to do a good deed today but I don't recommend this place. The heavyset black lady was rude and unprofessional. If you want to be treated like your nothing then come here.

Working outside the past few months can dehydrate yourself as you need more than you can drink. It least drink some milk if your thirsty as only water doesn't help you quickly enough.

KEEP PUTTING DONORS FIRST??Update!!!! New staff!!! I loved the ones that are no longer there but they did become lax and forgot that it was their place of employment. I want to give props to Ms.Veta,Ms.Sherana and don't let me forget Mr.Venard for being The best there is!!! THANK Y'ALL FOR Y'ALLS HARD WORK AND DEDICATION!!!!!! The new crew is doing an amazing job!!!

The promotions are great! Look forward to and love donating here at the blanding location in Jacksonville, FL.Most of the time people are polite and positive. The promotions are great! Hopefully I'm a winner! No I'm going to win win win win! If you want to be a winner, you must think like a winner or so I've been told. Thanks BPL for being winners and making me one as well. Its very rewarding and feels great knowing I can help someone and receive a little help myself in doing so. This is called team work!

Thus far it's been nothing but pleasant experiences! I feel like they're always doing things to show their appreciation towards donors! Today they handed out small bags of chocolate and on Thursday they had free hotdogs for donors! However there were a few returning donors that were highly irritated that they couldn't donate for varying reasons. I would suggest putting stolls in the booths where vitals are taken because there were many healthy that couldn't donate because their blood pressure was too high!

Went great for my first time. Zach was awesome and took his time to explain how the machine works and what's going on. No issues and pretty quick money(after first time). Definitely recommend.

Good place to donate. They are very informative and quick . Wish I would have known about them before driving a year in the life out to Mayport where the attendees there were more interested in flirting with my husband then providing stellar service such as this place. Also closer to where I live.

Was doing vitals in one of the booths and one of the girls got mad at the machine because it was taking to long. She hit the machine. When the machine showed my vitals it said I had a fever if 99.9. Needless to say they told me I couldn't donate. Came home and checked temperature again and it was 99.5. They told me I had to wait 2 weeks before I could go back. The people in the blanding location are rude and have bad attitudes. I will NOT go back to that location.

They have definitely streamlined the process. My first donation in 3 years took 2 hrs. They give opportunities to win extra money. Clean facility. Good staff

The Managers are really rude but everyone else are amazing. Some of the management there make for a bad experience but the amazing HARD WORKING (that management doesn't want to seem to notice) make it worth coming.

Miss Mary have an amazing customer service , she went above and beyond to make my experience here Great Thank You again Miss Mary .

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is inconsistent no one is on the same page one day you go in there and do one thing the next day it's different. The lady with the terrible wig was very rude... I rather donate my plasma elsewhere to a center that's more professional and nice!

I strongly recommend going to a different plasma center! Bpl plasma was a good experience until it was recently bought out by Grifols plasma, but now its gone down the drain! They are constantly (3 times in less than a month) under paying me?? and when I call or go up there to receive the remaining balence of my payment they lie to you and say give it 30 mins and the money will be available on your card, and 2 hours later it's still not on my card! Then they make up a policy out of nowhere and I'm told I'm

Sat in the chair for 45 minutes before walking out. Staff seems unprofessional and more concerned with laughing and joking than helping customers. Never coming back.

Do not let MELISSA touch you! I have never had any issues donating plasma and other plasma centers. As soon as I go into Biomat after being hydrated and eating a meal, they need to check my veins. Melissa (who has bad reviews) and I didn't know it was her could not find my vein. Even the guy up front looked at my veins like oh yeah you shouldn't have an issue let me just have the flab look at you. But the flood was selling me that my veins are tiny even though I can see him with my naked eye.
