Been going here for over 3 years, the staff are professional and it's clean. I have been to the other places, this one seems to have a shorter and smoother process
Horrible experience with Greg, knows I come in late, an purposeful denies me, this happened 3 or 4 times. You have the wrong person in management
been going here since january. never once a bad experience. the pokers are well trained and won't make you bruise. good money for a college student like myself
This place is absolutely rude. When you ask a question they get snappy and angry at donors like myself. If that's how the staff is going to treat donors then I'm sure I can go somewhere else to donate. Other than that it's quick and your out within 1 hour and a half.
Staff is probably the best part about this location. They make donors experience a priority and usually keep a positive attitude even on extremely difficult days!
They some messy mean ass people. Short staff every body have a attitude for no reason they weird and creepy the talk shit about the Donor's
Donated at this center never had a problem. The last 2 days went to donate and booth number 3 and the blood pressure machine said pulse was 115 so I went out and bought a blood pressure machine and took my blood pressure and the machine reading 145over87 pulse was 89.and that is rt after i walk back out to o my car. Something is wrong with that machine I will not be back to this place
I have been donating for years and these past couple of months my blood pressure will read with the machine but my heart rate has been coming out as low why because you blood pressure machines are trash y?all should really do it like the hospital does it the is the most accurate way to get a blood pressure!
This place is terrible. The staff doesn't care about doing their job well, and will leave you waiting around 10-30 minutes while they are just chit chatting with each other. Can't make any appointments so you can't reliably donate if you work during the day, as they regularly stop taking people hours before closing, especially when they're short staffed. The 2-3 hour process could be done in 45min-1.5 hours if the staff focused on working instead of acting like they were always on break.
Idk why every time I come here they can't get a donation but I've been to CSL 20 times this year and got a donation each time.
The Kiosk is a joke! I hit the answer button repeatedly after it highlighted grey and it still took a while to accept the response. Some employees are professional while others are very unprofessional and have loud conversations with the people donating. Also other donors were speaking loudly while swearing and were never told to respect other guess. Then they infiltrated my vein on an arm that has never been infiltrated by two other places. Leslie however stuck my other arm with no issues. I was less than
They let multiple employees call in, they are always short staffed, the ones on the clock just want to leave but have no since of urgency, the all go on breaks at the same time. Not surprising they got shot up, its aggravating waiting so long when it is a solvable problem, not to mention exhausting when you still have to go to work after and all the time one had to eat and nap in between is wasted away because of the employees issues. Donating does take time but it shouldn't take all day, it should at least
This is usually a busy location. But the staff works hard to make sure the line is moving along quickly. If this is ur 1st visit be prepared to stay at LEAST 3 hours. Your next visits will depend on how fast you donate.
Not nearly enough staff. 6 people waiting for a physical for an hour while others were in and out who weren't first time donors. I understand that this isn't the floor workers fault, but people who walked in after me were given paperwork to get their physical process started where I was just told to check in and sit down. After an hour of not 1 of the 6 having started their physical or screening, I decided the $100+ wasn't worth it. Very disorganized, workers seemed frazzled and confused.
All the staff at Grifols Biomat are so friendly and kind. They all work so hard to provide a comfortable donation experience and it's clear they value all their donors. It's clean, and they do a great job of enacting social distancing procedures, and the money is deposited into your account and accessible so quickly. And their rates have been so good since before I ever started donating. This is a great place to earn some extra money while making a difference.
I came in on 8-22 at 8 am just to ask some questions about how to donate. The light skinned, older man (about 55) would barely even look at me or respond to my questions. then as soon as I said I was staying at a hotel cause i just movd here...he just started shaking his head sayin "nope, nope, nope ", Extremely rude and unprofessional. Is this the kind of person you want your donaters to inreact with upon arrival?? Hope he gets fired 100% Dont treat people rudely
This was my First time every donating blood. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses and phlebotomists are all so wonderful and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. Very sweet hard working staff and was very impressed with my entire first experience!
I would give them no stars if I could, donated 8 times throughout November and told I would get a bonus, never got it and was told because I got new donor pay for the first two donations of November, it was 12 donations ago and yet they claim the small print that is barely visible on my donor card (which I still cant find) claims I am not eligible. Totally shady business practices not to mention how much they are actually getting per bottle. I'll never donate through them again, shove the 45 dollar bonus
The wait can be long but there isn't much staff or management can do about that. Everyone is very accommodating and have a standing of a first name basis. That makes the process way more pleasant when you feel like you know the people who are servicing you. Best plasma donation establishment I've ever been too.
They are too distracted talking and not working it's not even busy but I've been here over an hour to get my annual physical. They act like I'm not here Ridiculous hire better staff should have saved myself the hassle and went to csl
Nice friendly people under a huge amount of influx of donors. They bruised both of my arms on my first visit pretty badly and it caused me to not be able to donate on my second trip. My tip is to make sure you are prepared and drink plenty of fluids to plump your veins before donating. Part my fault, part the techs fault for being hasty but otherwise enjoyable experience.
Everyone was helpful and courteous, staff is excellent. Many people there were complaining about the wait while I was there. They to tend to take a long time when they get busy, and maybe are understaffed, but c'mon, you're getting paid to sit in a series of different chairs and watch movies. My first trip took like 4 hours altogether, (new paperwork and whatnot adds time,) and they gave me 50 dollars. That is more than 10 dollars an hour, tax-free, to do NOTHING. This place is awesome. If I could go there
I went to use the text they sent me sunday was the last day to use it 11/22/2022 it was $150 plus all outher bonuses and pay totaling $270 at 3:39pm Sunday. And the center told me that's when they stop takeing people at 3:30pm closeing time on the door say 5pm closeing. Witch made my bonus expire what can be done to get my bonus back. I been donating for years now i see what people say is rite about this place.
I went in there to do my plasma this morning and the machine kiosk was not working so I went up to the front and the lady said she's the only worker that's not my problem you need more staff also now I'm going hungry because of that lady that work this morning I don't have a car so I can only come down there once each time I don't want to come down there three times I want to come down there twice since the lady couldn't do her job it's a real problem
I've been donating here for 3 years and it's honestly one of my favorite places to donate. I never have problems the staff is great. They also have great monthly bonuses to win items and extra money.
Been going to this place since early 2000's and they have always been as nice as can be an great friendly people. Keep smiles going love that we all are doing it to help others how we can. Yes you get paid but helping save a life is the best pay off. I'd always go here. Great clean friendly sweet people. Never once any issues. Keep up the great work guys. Peace an love to you all
Donors Beware: As of September 13 they are implementing a new "check-in process". Plan on long wait times. THIS IS AN ADMINISTRATIVE ISSUE! Floor staff works hard, but there are not enough of them to effectively and efficiently keep throughput at a satisfactory pace. Sat in my car for 40+ minutes before I got called in to the building. Still waiting for a kiosk, testing and hook up. Wife encountered same issue earlier in the week. She was here for 3 hours as a return donor...
I had to flick a roach of the only chair available. I got laughs when I wiped the chair off. I had to wait more the 4 hours even though I got there at 8:30a.m. When I got called up to the front the paper copy of SS card wasn't good enough so I had to call family to drop of the original. Didn't like that very much and suggested to go home now but didn't listen because I needed the money. The worker said I could have my spot back but when I went back up there "I'm not ready for you," I heard the worker say ev
I honestly dont know how anyone other than the first time donors (during the $100 for 4 or 5 times) could rate it higher than 1 star. I was told it was a 1 hour and 20 minute wait to get on kiosk when I arrived. It was 2 hours and 15 minutes. Once on kiosk was told I needed to be counseled. I waited 20 minutes and asked how much longer for the girl to say "I dont know, I dont know I dont have time to give them your file. 3 hours later I'm in the back waiting 15 minutes to get table, 37 minutes to donate, th
I was sitting there and minding my own business in the lobby one day when an employee came up to me, put her arm around my shoulder, and said "not to profile, but did you eat before coming in" I have never previously spoken to this woman and she assumed it was okay to get in my bubble like that, despite social distancing and covid fears. I also do not like the implications she made by stating "Not to profile". I have lost a lot of weight, and while she may have thought it was a compliment it was still makin
Only worth it during your first 3 donations for the $100. The staff are nice but you have to wait at least an hour before you can even get on the kiosk PLUS the time it takes to get hooked up and donate and then wait around to get unhooked, this can take up to 4 hours in total. You can go to octapharma or csl plasma and be in and out in a hour depending how long it takes you to donate. Long story short get the first 300 and then go somewhere else!
I donated for years but noticed that it's impossible to be a regular donor without some excuse to turn you away. They defer healthy people but they happily accept homeless who should not be able to donate, alcoholics, drug addicts. If a client takes 3.5 hours to donate, then GRIFOLS has done something wrong. If I donate and their trainee can't hit a vein, then I'm deferred. They will literally make up any excuse to keep from paying you the low $40 when they take your plasma to make billions.
Ive been trying to be a new donor for 2 days now and they say my blood pressure is to low..now, if I'm correct, your blood pressure should not go from 84 over 54, feeling perfectly fine, to 75 over 34 in less than 15 minutes. Im thinking the machines are bad or they are not doing SOMETHING right..i have tried both arms. With blood pressure being that low I should have been in the hospital, not able to walk out to my car. My fiance has been there twice now to donate and they don't even cover up the needle, s
Ok, I'm not about to give 5 stars to any place that sticks needles in me....but, I digress. This place is descent, the workers are kind and respectful, I've always felt comfortable talking to them. No one has ever been rude or judgmental, I know they work very hard to help us get in and out. The wait time is about 1 1/2 total hrs for regular donors, expect to encounter longer 2+hr wait times when there is a promotion of some sort. The month of August was crazy busy ($20 xtra bones on second visit in the
Time currently 5:30. They are open till 6. Told their is a "new appointment" rule. Date 7/21/2016 I am being refused at the door. Not even allowed in building. Extremely unprofessional. When I asked when this changed, said Monday. When I asked him why I wasn't informed of this on Monday, told me it wasn't his problem. When I told hold him I wanted to file a complaint, he told me "I could complain all I want" I've been a loyal donator for years, this is how I support my family and feed my childr
It was pretty good they are caring for everyone
My mom went to donate on Friday 6/16/23 and let the phleb know she was in extreme pain when they were trying to access her vein, but they kept fishing around trying to get her blood to flow. When they finally stopped, they didn't hold pressure to her arm and over the next couple days she developed these giant bruises. She went to an urgent care and was told that the phleb was trying to draw from her artery and has internal bleeding in her arm causing it to swell. This is incompetence and could potentially h
Receptionist was super rude and not helpful on the phone and hung up on me.
I went there today. They had a incident with aloud person. They handled it very professionally. The staff has always been nice and processing is alright. Depending on amount of staff to clients. Little things that cant be controlled . Good place recommendations to anyone
Worst employee attitudesI've ever seen. Extremely unprofessionalAnd very under trained. Write down to taking somebody's temperature! HORRIBLE! Strongly consideringGoingAnotherPlasma donation center.
If I could give it less then a star I would .. they had someone less then Qualified set up the machine ruin the set up and when there wasn't anything they could do they said we have to defer me for 6 weeks and I'd only receive 5$ out off a 85 pay.. do not go to this place!
I went and donated monday January 13th. I went back and Leah was the one that got my needle in and got me going. Everything seemed normal at first until my blood started to return in my arm and I knew something wasnt right as it hurt and just didnt feel like the previous 2 times I've donated. I looked down and noticed that it looked like the skin around the needle was bubbling up. I brought it to Leah's attention and she told me that everything looked just fine. So I gave it a minute and the machine didnt e
ive been coming here a long time and they been good to me but 3 times already they forgot to put the money on my card maybe just not enough workers.
Less than 1 star. It's a bad place. They mess up all the time and don't pay you. If you ask questions, they will permanently ban you. Run at the first sign of sloppiness
Extremely friendly staff. Always ready to help and give advice on how to make your visit faster and easier. Ive been to all the donation centers in kalamazoo. Biomat is by far the best. Love the fruit water.
Very friendly staff. The lady named carolyn that works the front counter is one of my favorites shes always happy and glad to see everyone. One the best needle pokers is joyce she does an awesome job! Dakota does to. I will admit tho i think they could pay us donors more than what they do because they get more money for our plasma than u know of. If it wasnt for us donors they wouldnt be a buisness.
On my 3rd visit I was told I had a positive reaction for Hepatitis C, I was no longer allowed to donate. That same day I went to my family doctor and had them run the tests to confirm what the staff at biomat had told me. My doctor called me with my results, I asked them to not only check for hep c, but to check for anything and everything under sun. My doctor found NOTHING. All results are completely negative. All. Of. Them. No hepatitis C, no nothing. Biomat has caused me extreme mental anguish, and n
This is not a honest business, they offered a referral bonus to refer people, don't do it , I have been trying to collect my bonus and when I call I get no call back or help. They owed me 2 bonuses my donors have both donated twice and I was told I would collect on my next donation, LIES AND MORE LIES. I donated no bonus.... There are 2 other blood banks in Kalamazoo I would go there and don't go to BIOMAT USA..... UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS
If people had to wait as long for their life-saving medicine as we did to get hooked up to these machines... we wouldn't need plasma centers like Grifols because they would all be dead. Seriously though, 2 hours average just to get into the back room. I showed up today with only four people in the lobby and an hour later finally went to the front desk just to be told my file had been set out and forgot about... come on guys. Then after three hours of the whole Grifols donating experience I get home and chec
Stay away know one here know wut they are doing. An when the employees don't know wut they are doing the donors dont get paid. Makes no sense how unprofessional these people are. They don't care how they mess you up. Warning to everyone this place is so ghetto an they don't pay right.
They are simply the slowest in the world. I shouldn't average 2.5 hours in here. Not recommend at all if you're not a new donor. The service is unacceptably slow and it makes me not want to donate here.
If you want to spend two hours of your life hearing all the employees speak about their personal lives GO HERE ! :) horrible service but nice people. Don't know how to work without chit chatting with themselves
Date 7/24/16 Time 1:25pm "Pride for Donors". What does that mean to you? I have still yet to receive an appropriate apology and resolution for the grievous behavior displayed by the Biomat Management at the Kalamazoo, MI location. As you can see in the Original Complaint below, the level of unprofessional displayed by the Management staff is horrendous. 7-22-16 7:41am. I receive a phone call from a manager at the Kalamazoo location named Sky. She immediately went on the defense and offered no sincere
They honestly work the hardest here. A hiccup once in awhile will not keep me from coming back. Amanda, Whitley, Zakiah, Greg, EVERYONE knows their job and tries to make your time go quick and easy.
This place is so unprofessional.. It's a good blood bank, that needs new equipment ... Not everybody that works there is unprofessional just a few of them are very rude.. I will never donate there again.. The first day I donated I was there from 12 p.m to 6 p.m because they forgot I was even there.. Smh .. It's not the men that are unprofessional it's a few of the black girls.. I wish I could give it 0 star's ...
Was the worst experience of my life had to poke both arms could not get my blood back so now I can't donate for 8 weeks the place is so dirty and the staff is not trained well at all. I would not recommend biomat to anyone
I love it here people and staff are absolutely wonderful..... They are patient and kind, there's nothing they can do if it's busy... So do us all a favor and be patient back with the stuff instead of just plain rude and obnoxious, and it will be smooth sailing.... Thatnk Biomat and it's staff... Xoxox EXCEPTIONALLY OUTSTANDING PEOPLE... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ......
I've been coming to this center for a year and a half now. It's a win-win situation because you get paid to help others. The staff is great too!
Sitting here donating and employees to busy talking to notice me and the guy next to me not flowing. Had to wait for Flow to come back from brake to fix us.
Worst plasma donation center out there, I've been waiting 3 hours cuz they lost my chart and say it's my fault, they don't care about nothing but there paycheck. My arm stared bleeding from the needle being in wrong an she looks at it and walks away not caring and talking to co-workers. This place is a joke
It's not a blood bank like Google states, it's a plasma center next to a homeless shelter. They claim they do not let you participate as a homeless person but just watch the people who exit and follow them straight to the shelter and then the liqour store.
They keep sitting people who would come way after me. I shouldn't have to wait hours to get sit down and poked when I come in and I'm the only one here. Been coming to biomat for 20yrs and past 6 yrs it's gone down hill
If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a joke. Rude employees. Don't come here if u can avoid it go somewhere else to donate.
My first time visiting Grifols was met by a warm and welcoming staff who walked me through the plasma donation process! Very pleased with the experience.
I recruited donors for them on the referra a friend program and never got paid after verifying all the information and they still came up with excuses not to pay me...its a total scam that used ne for my networking skills
Love the employees. They make the atmosphere comfortable. Process is quick for me.
I look forward to coming to BIOMAT. Nena greets me with a friendly smile everytime. She never forget my name. That's great customer service. Thanks Nena!!!
overall I like biomat but their seem to be a lack of coordination as well as very rude screeners and they also need a system to wear people aren't stuck in the chairs longer than 5 minutes with those needles open and having their arms exposed to germs.they need to have a better staff over all and just another thang that hat ,scarf, etc policy stuck ijs
Love donating here the staff are very friendly and know me by name! Highly recommend this place because I have had an amazing experience here! ????
Amazing staff I love coming here to donate to make medicine for the people in need Its an amazing how everyone here works so hard to make sure we can donate you guys are doing an awsome job wouldnt donate anywhere else
I love the employees here they r really nice but i want to make a specialy nice review for justice she was really nice n wonderful n she got my vane on the first try i hope to get her agian next time
This the only place i like to go ,the staff is awesome thete always smiling so you feel comfortable. I have a few that i really like.I wish they would hurry uo and reopen
Always a pleasant experience coming here. Recommend to anyone. Great bonuses and new donor pay
They went through my vain so many times I got barred from ever donating again anywhere. There is only a few folks there that know what they're doing.
They temperature machine is off I go there my 100 degrees but go to hospital and it's 98.4 this is so bogus cause they don't retake your temperature like they use too. It's a real inconvenience for donors. This happens all the time. And I'm not the only one.??????
Always has excuses as to why they do not want (not need) new donors. I was only trying to help. But I will Not make another attempt ever.
I have been going there for the past 3 years and I like to donate, and the staff are great.
Do not go here its not qorth the money. They allow people to fall asleep when donating and skip you. My advice is find another place to donate with.
The staff is friendly and caring. The process of donating goes fast and the rewards are the best :)
Absolutely love donating here!! No bad experiences and bonuses are great on top of regular pay????
Unlike what it says on Google, they are open on Sundays. 7:30am is when they open. I recommend getting there an hour or so ahead of opening to get the first appointment, as it's first come, first serve.
last month i called biomat and ask i could switch back i explain that i had switch twice before they said no problem when i got there i went over it again explaining that in no way did i want to be deferred they said no problem again pulled my old file and took my picture again they called me back in the booth like i joke to tell me that i had been deferred i was and am very upset now i have nowhere to go oh yes unless i could travel 50 mile to another city that was just cruel thanks for making a hardship
My sis tee called from my phone to see if she could donate after her getting a abortion and then when I went to go donate, they told me I couldn't donate until October 2019 and I went to the medical staff and he said he can't do anything about it...what should I do in order to be able to donate
Has some nice employees there I enjoyed going I'm helping people out donating blood and that helps me out the money helps me out on my fixed income....Lolley
Absolutely ridiculous the last two weeks!! Wait times 2+ hours for return donors. Customer service has gone way down hill. Will not be returning.
They are amazing staff so friendly remember they deal with ppl all day who aren't the nicest ppl either. Yet all the workers are so patience
GO TO OCTAPHARMA! I came in as a new donor, signed in, and sat for an hour and a half until I just left. You can get in and out of any other place in that time. Make sure to set aside an entire day.
The staff are very professional , friendly & they get you in & out ; great place to go to earn extra bill money...
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
