I have been donating at this place for a few months. When I first came every thing was good. Within the last month the wait time has been really bad. They will have 10 people sitting in the waiting area waiting to get vitals and only have 1 person taking the vitals!!! I don't like being here all day but they need to hire more phlebotomist. I don't have any complaints about the employees just the time spent here when I come to donate?
Place is a joke went 3 different time to get paperwork only to be told each time it wasn't the paperwork. The lady that told me to get said paperwork claims she never said that. Very unprofessional and the people who work there don't know what there talking about. Will not return i recommend going to a different place besides this. Definition of ingorance.
Very slow foot moving ppl here.appointment was at 10:40 , didn't get out the door til 1 .this use to be a easy process now it takes all day.
This place USED to be a Great place to visit. The staff was funny, helpful & caring. NOW they're short tempered & VERY Rude. I don't want anyone to get fired, but I wouldn't go in there if I were you. If you do, Don't speak to anyone who works there, or ask ANY Questions. There's a CSL over on Mercer that is VERY Nice, & LOVES to cut up with you.
I went to this facility thinking extra money until I watched testimonies from recipients. It made me feel like I could help someone extend thier life. So I went thru all the motions it took about 5 hrs but I hung in there. I did my first donation and things went great!? Then I went for my second vist... Well my arm was really bruised and I couldn't donate. (Its not bruised around the needle site) They told me to come cone back in a a couple days... so I did and was refused again. The tech told me to
I wish I didn't have to go so far away and not pass the test and web app Usually is a falue and no phone being Answered . Just like Macon Georgia Leave there if you can. Died 15 years ago Like 90 % of all busssinesses. Dead on Arrival . Just don't live here. Not a Chance
RUDE RUDE RUDE person and service at the desk I do not recommend yall go get paid at CSL and get treated like a human being. ?? ??also they telling you bold face lies they do not pay but 200 first 2 times. then it's downhill from there.
I really like the people working here, they are GOOD people, courteous, kind, helpful. They are experts at putting in large bore IV's, many who have put my IV in, I barely felt it, no pain- that is quite a skill! I greatly appreciate all the wonderful staff there. I've been going to Biomat for 6 months, but they are lowering their reimbursement rates, so I won't continue going, for now. I will greatly miss the staff!
The wait is super long I always have to wait at least 2 hours before I can even donate. There aren't enough phlebotomists however, an ample amount of screeners. Customer service is great but whoever is in charge of running this place needs to be replaced.
Wait is extra long. Appointment was at 9:30 am through the app. Walked in at 9:30 & the worker says that all the appointments were booked & I have to reschedule for the next available time. It's now 11am and I have still yet to make it to the back to start the donation. The workers in the front are loud, alley, horrible time management, chewing gum/candy while speaking to donors, just unprofessional. BIOLIFE would never.
Everyone at this place is very nice, when you walk in, they call you by name and ask how you are doing today!!! Very friendly and professional ,a great atmosphere that you want to be in!!!
All Macon people do not .I repeat do not come to this sorry place.i came here for the first time they told me I can't donate cause the address I gave them is not a house.i mean stupid is that ..then they do 100 ur first two times then it drop to 40 dollars.....I advise everyone to go to the one on mercer went there they accepted me with open arms.everythang went good..also ur first four times u get 100 dollars.the fifth time u get 75.. then from there it's 50-65 dollars each donation...so please y'all don't
I did my first donation yesterday. Staff was wonderful! It was very clean and organized. She got it on the first try. Compensation was awesome as it helped me with food and other necessities. I'm going back next Saturday.
Update 3. I give up!!!! They have 2 people putting up Halloween decorations and 12 people waiting for a bed.... I am going back to BioLife... even if they pay less. Update 2. Getting worse. They changed debit card companies and now we are charged $1 for a cash withdrawal... even at a network MoneyPass ATM. People are getting ruder. Barely better than BioLife.... barely Update.... it makes no sense to me to have 10 people waiting to be checked in and only 1 technician inchecking and doing the vitals. Go
Always nice staff and super clean facility
Great plasma donation center. Staff are friendly and provide smooth/efficient donation experience. Hours are also good so that I can arrive before or after work. Plus, if I need to pick up any groceries at Kroger, it's conveniently nearby. Enjoy donating here!
I've been coming here since last year and these last two times I've been turned around because their saying my iron is low so the first time I was told this I went to my Dr the next day to get checked and they told me that there wasn't a problem at all with my iron and two weeks later; I came back today and was told the exact same thing. I don't have any health issues at all but I do see my Dr regularly to keep a check on my health. I noticed today that two other people where turned around also. I really th
The donation process and staff availability has greatly improved in the past few months. I think they've hired more attentive and professional employees. I never have an issue getting stuck now. It's still best to come in the morning as the process is much faster during that time. Checking in is very easy. Bonuses are solid.
I love the staff at Biomat Macon. They are great. I haven't experienced anyone being rude. They make you feel comfortable. I have been to one other plasma donation center and the staff there was rude and unprofessional. Different times of day they tend to get busy, but they work hard in speeding up your wait time. Whenever Shayla, Michelle, and E are working, there is never a dull moment. They are very professional and courteous.
My experience is generally waiting forever while the staff cuts up. You go to the back where myself and my fiance have been skipped and it seems like there is always a lazy person in the back while the other staff member does everything takes forever to stick you because they are preoccupied and if you want them to take the needle out you better be one of there favorites or you have better luck getting out yourself. Some are so rude as though being a donor who needs the money somehow makes you less importan
They are quick,friendly and sterile.
Love the staff. It's always a pleasant visit. You can count on being able to speak to the employees that you do have one on one contact with that day as if their family. The center is always clean and you also get to watch movies so that helps pass time. Thanks DC and CP you guys are the best.
I loved donating here. The staff treats you like family. Unfortunately I have had to move back to Florida and miss all the great people and all the great bonuses.
Finished all the required paperwork and answer all questions to be turned down because I was over they're target weight. Had been there over an hour. Had to drive 50 miles just to get there and waited for an hour doing paperwork to tell me they couldn't use me. No where on there website or paperwork does to list max weight. They want to to donate but you can't if your to big I guess. Wasted my time and money. Don't use them at all just plain rude. Called customer service as asked below waited 5 minutes no a
The lady (older black lady who always wears a long ponytail with colorful socks) needs to work on customer service. She wants to act different in person compared to how she acts over the phone, which is rude and unprofessional. It's also against policy to gossip about patients around other patients. Now everyone in the room knows one of the donors are homeless, thanks to the gossip lady. The girl who answered the phone today was passive aggressive about the new closing time I knew nothing about.
Great friendly staff. Management very helpful.
Went to come donate extremely unprofessional. It is not a welcoming environment I heard some rude comments by the upper staff I believe her name is Sun but she had a short haircut and treats people like there are lesser than when they come to donate. I truly don't even understand how people work under her.
I came in today at 12:30pm to be a first time donor. I learned that they would not be accepting donors until 2pm from front desk staff. Then, I was advised that I could not wait at the center until 2pm to donate. My first impression of this place is very low already. How does it state that this office is open from 7am-7pm but, there is a stop in donors at will and donors are not able to wait in the center. I drove 30 minutes to get here. It would been wonderful if some sort of notice is put out before going
I love the experience. Ayanna was so nice and she talked me through the entire process. She made me feel comfortable and helped me with all my needs. I would definitely be recommending more people to come here.
Staff is so sweet they make you feel comfortable
I've donated 4 times. The wait is the worst part. All 4 of my visits took 3 hours from sign in to exit. The staff is friendly but does not try to get people in and processed very fast or efficiently. I feel like that staff at times does not try very hard to keep up with demand. They pay anywhere from $40 to $75 per donation depending on need. Lately its been $75. Not bad for 3 hours. Just wish they cared more and had a sense of urgency to there work.
I have read and heard some interesting things about the site in Macon, Ga. and they were not very pleasing to me. I was really terrified to go donate plasma based solely on the reviews but i am glad that i used my OWN mind to take a chance. Not only were the staff very friendly, the wait time was expected as i was a new donor. As with anything new, there has to be protocols followed which would take long. I would recommend this site to my family and friends and i hope that nothing changes during my futu
I always have a pleasant experience when I donate. In the past two years, since my last review, they have improved considerably. I received two star service then. I receive 5 star service now. The personnel are professional, but personable, and always treat me kindly. The facility is sterile and I do not worry about contracting Covid 19. The rules are few and simple to follow. Your donation helps to save someone's life and the compensation is getting better. An improvement to the place would be a table to s
Rates are decent and the donation process itself is quick and easy. Unfortunately, this place seems chronically understaffed, disorganized and inefficient. Donation takes only 40 minutes, but wait time is consistently over an hour. People are not called back in the order of arrival, which makes the experience even more frustrating. They need an organized appointment system so they don't have more donors waiting than they can handle.
It's been four days and still have not received payment for donation. I'm now out of town working and no one will answer the phone with explanation of why.just goes to Teresa Harper's voice mail. All day.
They have way too many young people working here who cannot properly do the job about 4 years ago they had a decent team these people aren't worth much and neither is the horrible pay
I give this Biomat USA on North Ave Macon Ga 5 stars. The people who work there are awesome people. They have always been very polite and respectful to me. They work hard to make everyone feel comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you! Rebecca Roland. DC
Tamia was great and very friendly during my visit. Very respectful young lady.
The staff is always so kind and professional. They interact with the donors and have great bedside manners. Donating process is always quick and easy. Clc and Katie made my donating day a breeze.
The first time referrals are awesome just to help someone out. But the downsize is that the wait just thereafter in the waiting room to be sent to the back is horrendus. Instead for a 90 minute as stated on the website it takes about the same if you were a new donor. My first time was well over 4 hours. They need a better system and additional staffing to accomodate the volume.
I have been waiting 50 mins on a table for a sample only. Tech's are standing around talking to each other or saying they " don't do samples". Extremely unprofessional. Think it's time to patronize a different facility. Shouldn't have to put up with sub par service like this
A1 service. Patience is a virtue. And you have to understand that the process is not simple. I am editing my post from last year. I stand beside my review. Excellent staff members just naming a few Lacey, Nikosha, Dani, Katie, Ty, Candace, Elton And if I forgot anyone, Charge it to my bad memory and not my heart. You guys are best !
Staff is very friendly. Delacey is happy and pleasant. Without Elton doing such a fabulous job I'd have been deferred several times. He loves his job and is an awesome pheblomist!
More than half of the staff at the front desk has terrible attitudes and poor people skills. You can't freely ask a question without some sort of side eye or sarcasm. They're also very inefficient when it comes to keeping records for paperwork. I wouldn't reccomend coming here if you don't already know what to expect from this place.
Literally hate this place 1st you cant donate without appointment makes since until u show up a little early the app says show up 15 minutes prior to for some reason staff wont let me sign in until 5 or 10 minutes so you have to wait 2nd after you are allowed to sign in now you wait again longest wait I've personally had 2 hours wouldn't be so bad if this was not every single donation how is it possible to have a lobby full of people and 1 person screen this is a regular occurrence to be understaffed this
Worst Experience of My Life... they are Unprofessional.. they don't have it together ... they suspended me for 30days.. because I got upset for not notifying me about appointments.. they made Up a lie saying a said vulgar language and that's not true when I asked for them to prove it on the security camera..they refuse and told me there's The door ??..after I called and verified my appointment..they could have told me then but instead made me drive from Newnan Ga..to tell me that I wasn't going to be seen f
Great staff...all seem willing to want to help....provided excellent service by KM yesterday! CP is always very friendly. Sweet, willing to help and extremely hard working! DC works the front as quickly as she can solo!
If it were possible to get a negative star rating, this place would get it! I gave them multiple chances but the entire process is ridiculously slow. I arrived at 3pm for what was my LAST visit to this place. Sat in the first waiting room for an hour and a half before having vitals checked....there were only 6 people waiting when I walked in. Then, I proceeded to the SECOND waiting area where I waited an additional hour and 15 minutes to begin my donation. The employees who monitor people were standing arou
I am a new donor here in Macon. I have been donating since last year of November 26, 2014 in Augusta, Ga. I've recently moved here in December and o have to say that the Staff here has been Great and Awesome. My time donating as a new donor went pretty fast compared to back home. Where you'll be waiting about 7-8 hours. I'm greatful for the process of giving back to people in need. I want to say Thanks to Grifols for an Exceptional job they are doing here at BioMat, and to the Staff that I'm very thankful
Tamia talks to much while on the floor she could move a little faster if she was focused
The staff was very friendly and funny. This is my first time ever donating my plasma. I was nervous, but the staff made me feel at ease and they are very knowledgeable.
I've been donating for about 5 months. The staff is friendly, and the process isn't that bad. It helps knowing you saving lives, just for maybe 5 hours a week. For a free $75 a week!! Also get $50 for refereeing people.
They workers here are extremely unprofessional. They are very slow. I've been sitting here 20 to 30 minutes waiting to get stuck and its not busy here at all. The managers are slow and if you report it they'll tell all of the staff about it . The whole place needs new workers or someone from the corporate needs to come down and change a lot of things because they all need assistance here and are terrible. Really they need to just shut this location down.
This place is horrible I was going weekly In the beginning no problems at all. But these people are lazy except for a few. I see a lot of standing around & no work being done. They always got attitudes when you trying to ask them question. The manager is never around to talk to about my problems with some of they employees.
I really enjoy the staff. They are very easy to talk to and conversate with through out the whole donating process. They work pretty good together, what one can't do another can. Team work.
They have nice staff in the back but the front they can be rude and my boyfriend been going for 2 years and been having to leave a sample and normal nothing is wrong with him which is crazy that now there is . I've been having low iron or high pulse but it's ridiculous how they rude bout telling us .
I've been donating for about six months, that should say a lot. Feels like you're family at the Biomat the way the staff interacts with their customers, is commendable. I look at the biomat as my second job..lol the extra few dollars goes along way.. help on a bill, gas money, food money, can give some to the church or just flat out save it, it's what you make of it. However the employees make you feel good about your donations. Good job biomat MACON Ga!!!
Some of staff is not professional, they walk around talking and playing, but I enjoy help other and saving life, I wish it could be a faster process, but so of them play around and they don't do they job. But other then that it a great and clean environment.
I was only get payed 40 dollars for my third visit and they got me and my sister n law so they don't check the names and the ID numbers like there suppose they need to learn how to do there job properly.
The screening process took about an hour which is cool. But I've been sitting in the doner chair for another hour waiting for them to finish start the process... short staffed and not very friendly.
Focused more on talking then getting folks thru. My fist donation took 6hrs! I'm here at my second and going on 2hrs and still not in a chair. And it's not busy at all. My girlfriend waited over 4 hrs to be screened
I was permanently deffered because i kept crossing my leggs unintentionally something my mom told me as a kid growning up all my life which has become just a habbit had my music going with headphones blasting the lady lakeisha lewis so called manager said i was ignoring her that she was trying to talk to me. But never once touched my shoulder how can u intentionally ignore someone with headphones in And music playing loud. Then i asked for them to provide me with corporate phone number they said it was 1-85
I come to Biomat twice a week. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They try their hardest to keep everything moving smoothly and quickly as possible. - Miranda Ferrell. DL & DC
Loving how the plasma center is changing for the better! The new center manager is very helpful along with staff they go above and beyond to make sure you have a safe and smooth donation!
Visiting over 10years. Well trained staff and many have been with the company for years. Wait can be long at times, but free WiFi and movies constantly playing help pass the time.
If I could give this place a 0 rating, I would. Majority of the staff is rude! They do not listen to their donors. This place is unorganized and has so much it needs to work on. I wish I was still at the Savannah location. It was 10X better.
The donor receptionist Danielle (DC) was very nice, kind and helpful. She was not in a rush to leave when I came in a few minutes before closing.
I cannot believe what I just witnessed. I just saw a new donor come in , he was not able to read for whatever reason. The guy asked for help or if his girlfriend could read it to him and they told him he can't get help that he will have to just take his time and read it his self. Where in the world do these people get their job skills from. It was so sad.
I hate it here! They're so slow and it's nobody's job to do their job! This is sad!!! Is it because it's in an urban area that you can't get timely service?! Something has to be done
Been a while since went to BIOMAT but unfortunately the wait times make it not worth it. First time went there, it literally took about 5 hours from start to finish. I would recommend going to BIOLIFE in WR, 2 hours first time, 1 hour after physical. Better pay rates.
This place will scam you out of your time and money. They may tell you you will get x amount of money then after you've spent 3hrs donating plasma and its time to get your money they will add some weird stipulation that makes you receive less than was promised. I think that's rude considering how bad my arm got bruised up.
Grifols is a very clean and friendly environment. DC took care of me today and was very upbeat and informative with all the questions I had. I love coming here and donating.
Lost my folder 3 times. I call and they tell me that they have seen it so I come back to donate. Now I'm sitting here watching them look for my folder that they lost once again... I'm considering changing places to donate. Very unprofessional and unorganized... I'm fuming
Soolin, zay and everyone else were super sweet even though I was upset they all took the time to take care of me and help me understand things I wasn't. Although I can't donate bc my veins. I will always refer people to y?all because you guys care. Thank you !!!! So much for making it right.
I have only been comin to the biomat for a few months now. But I can say the staff here at the biomat on north ave are amazing. Always smiling, nice and professional. Main reason why I continue to come back. 5 stars in my book!!! Thanks you shayla and C.O.C
No one to greet you when first came in. Waited 45 minutes just to be seen and only because I asked if I need paperwork since I was a first time donor. The staff is very unprofessional and unorganized I had to walk out. Go to any center but this one. I felt so unwelcome and all I wanted was to help save a life!??
DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME.!! My first visit took 6 hours to complete. I nearly fainted in the chair because I hadn't eaten since I arrived that morning. You are not allowed to leave after signing in, otherwise you can't donate. I arrived at my 2nd appointment needing proof of address, because they would not accept my lease at my first appointment. I spoke to an employee and we decided I could go to a library and print a utility bill and bring it back. I waisted time, money and gas because when I returned they w
I enjoy my service with no problem they have real good Leadership at biomat and they are really Helpful as Team. I feel good every time I come back. Have a bless day. / KT/TDC/EFR/TL /CJ
Best customer service in Macon period. Ever get treated so well you forget you're in Macon, it happens here all the time. God bless all the staff. CLC
Its a great place. If you know someone who wants to donate. This is the place. The staff is Great. Its not a 3hour wait. The most is less then an hour. But please donate for a cause.
Great customer service. Friendly staff and great environment to donate. Lacey is awesome. I love coming here weekly. Fast service.
It took me 4 and half hours to be seen because they are severely understaffed. I also was turned away because I've been to the doctor too many times. The staff was rude, and one lady was sleeping on the job.
Okay...today i went...and everything went smooth...the nurse knew how to do her job...now what i dont understand is i have to drive an hour there thats a 2 hour trip for me...we need one in dublin or something..but i drive 2 hours and get the same pay as someone local...how can i get help with mileage bevause im in the tetnus program
It was a great experience, quick process, and the employees are wonderful if you are a new donor I recommend you ask for Shayla or Tyasia I think they are the best at their jobs and two of the nicest women
It's great the employees are great stickers, screeners and they have great costumer service.I love it. T.L They have great customer service still go 2021 and will continue to come in the Future
All very nice and friendly staff. Just takes forever on you first visit. Hoping any and all future visits are quick!
Good environment with friendly staff. I love the atmosphere, great t.v shows, comfortable waiting areas. I always recommend this one. Thanks Lacey!
Shear Negligence & Utter Incompetence. 2-4 hours wait time, slow uninterested staff, unprofessional, no respect donor's time but when it comes to their process they get impatient and dictatorial, although, you had just waited on them for hours. No improvement over time. You are literally treated like cattle there.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
