I have to say, ever since switching over to this center, I am now a proud donor here at Biomat. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and they do their job very well, most importantly, they don't leave you bruised up! We also get bonuses & raffles!?? Definitely worth my 5 star rating, thanks Grifols team! ????

Worst experience ever! The phlebotomist who stuck me was careless caused me more pain and bursted my vein. Yesenia is rude specifically when I asked politely multiple times to remove the BP cuff and she yanked it off my arm! The bald guy didn't do nothing to justify the situation Worst place to ever go! They are careless employees who have shitty attitudes if they hate there job they should quit like the other 30 employees who up and quit on them

Still waiting since 12 and its 3 . Ladys in the front are just talking within each other. I asked twice how much longer and they say for me to wait like if their annoyed bc there is only 1 girl doing exams she said ? then another lady told me scan and then another lady tells me i scanned too early for me to continue waiting till I'm told again to scan.. . Your employees dont even know what their doing than want to blame us ?

Everybody (besides a small handful) looks permanently angry or indifferent. Customer service is below average at best. But the reason for the bad review is because of false advertising. I donated 8 times, today (July 3rd) was my eighth, & as stated on the bottom of the photo, I was supposed to get an extra $50 but did not receive it. The manager told me it was a typo & no compensation was offered. Another gentlemen I sat next to said the same thing happened to him. I'm going back to the other center in Edin

Updated review 6/15/22 (1 star): Well, unfortunately, my 66th donation on the June 13th was an awful experience. Painful burning sensation on the return, even after two adjustments. Had to call out for help. The pressure was terrible. Blown vein and swelling. Not sure if I will return. All previous times had been great. Older review (5 stars): Always an easy process. Love the staff and incentives. Go!

This place is very clean and efficient, staffed with friendly people who are very professional in their jobs. I highly recommend them for anyone who wants to help save lives by donating plasma. Its hard to put 1 star since some employees have been so nice to me. But it's not their fault we have to wait so long to be seen. My reason for this review is today after coming back appointments are needed now, for what I a ask. My appointment was at 12:30 now 1.26 pm not seen yet. 1:35 finally passed. Lady next to me said her appointment was at 8am they saw her @12. This is ridiculous, that when aaked around they rold her manager here doesn't want to hire more staff so no more sections can be open. All

The second time I donated, I almost passed out after the 3rd cycle. One of the staff seemed a little annoyed (she may have been worried; hard to tell), but she helped me through it nonetheless, and she was great. I felt better and kept on donating. After another cycle, it happened again. This time, two staff members helped me through it. They were amazing! I am happy to continue going there. Hydrate and eat well before donating!

Never felt the need to leave a review despite my past experiences but today was just ridiculous. I was told to wait 15min because my 116/83 bp was ?too high?. Another girl calls me back five minutes later to recheck it and what a surprise it's actually high this time. She didn't care about my previous bp when it was first taken and refused to check my other arm or let me wait the actual 15mins to recheck it. They are currently under staffed so everything is so slow. And when I went in to donate they took a long time to hook me up even tho I was already on a chair. They also had me sitting there done for a while. I thought it was ridiculous that they would chit chat with each other and keep the same speed knowing there was like 5 people who hadn't even gotten helped yet.

Terrible experience. Went through all the check in process, had my vitals and blood drawn from finger. Everything was in range, but had my blood pressure a tad high. Was told to wait 15 minutes to retake blood pressure, but 15 minutes turned into over an hour. Turns out the blue haired lady that took my vitals had forgotten I was there and left. Come here about every two weeks and im always baffled when the staff us just chatting it up not hooking you up to machine, was left sitting on the donor chair for 25 minutes ( about half the time it takes to complete a full donation) and I have places to be like I get that it's full but just start the queue up so people can get hooked up? I had a bad experience today with this location, the female tech that was doing my vitals was very unprofessional, rude and she was angry as well. Hey, if you hate your job; leave, let somebody else with more empathy and people skills do the job!

This facility has a pristine work environment, friendly and highly efficient staff...I had the privilege to be assisted by (Lucy) throughout the process and found her to be highly engaging, knowledgeable, and a pure congineality not often seen. Job well done guys!

Used to go there but got tired of always being told my BP was off. First time I dismissed it second time I went to the doctor and was told it was good. What made me decide on stop going was that I was told my heart rate was 159. Was told to sit down for a few minutes which I did went back and my heart rate was 219. I just laughed and left.

I've only been donating for a couple months now, I used to take my ex and his sister there all the time. I feel it's actually gotten faster. Someone the staff is so so... But really I've never had a problem. Most of the workers can be comforting and most make sure you're doing ok before, during and after your donation. I love and hate coming here. They waiting sucks but it's worth it in the end ...

Bad experience. Slow talking female worker with blue hair, I didnt get her name told me my levels were off, just by looking at the test stick they use upon entry. This is the second time she tried getting me deferred. I have no clue as to why it seems she is out to get me. It would have been my 4th time donating, I am always polite and never act up or rude . Went to another plasma center and I was perfect.

Phlebotomy tech seem to be in a bad mood because I couldn't remember my last four of my donor Id. It was my second time to donate here I was not much familiar with the process. She seemed to do everything in a bad mood until she pocked my vein and couldn't get the blood at once and kept fishing and messed up my vein. Came here two days later to check my bruise obviously they are going to see for each other not for me. They tell you to do cold compresses and this lady is telling me to do hot compresses.. th

I had the best experience as a new donor everyone was helpful, encouraging, and polite mading the experience positive. I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking to help save lives and get a little something in return for their donation they also have really good bonuses each month and it shows they value you as a contributor.

Worst plasma donation ever...Understaffed and highly disorganized. 3 hours and they cant move a line of 10 people. This place needs a SERIOUS manager that gets involved. This one spends their day hiding, iwas here 5 hours not once did he check on the floor. Biomat will be reducing its fees for new donors, even if you have not donated in more than 6 months. Really focusing on making their donors wait and ripping them off. If I could give 0 stars I would.

McAllen facility has a great staff with great communication skills. They are very patient with donors and provide an overall great experience, I would definitely recommend my family and friends to come to this location!

Grifols is a great organization that helps out the world as well as putting a little extra cash in your pocket on a weekly bases. They are very professional and well kept in their work set. Very bad place to come I've been touched with other people's blood pouches twice and even told the manager and they did nothing about it. new donor walked in I could tell i was gonna get bad service. walked into main entrance for information and the two girls up front saw me standing there for give five minutes and they kept the gossiping. they completely ignore the patients. they should have nicer staff at least upfront

Wait times are pretty bad and the staff clearly are trying to rush you out the door in order to expedite the amount of donors they can take. As a healthcare worker, I can understand this, but it is still something that people sjould be aware of.

Very bad, inconsiderate and racist employees from the front desk to the screening (screeners jam and twist the finger-stick in a completely unnecessary manner) to the back donation area. In the donation area (even though photography is not allowed), the personnel allowed me to be photographed without my permission and did nothing but walk away when I asked for it to be stopped.

I will never reccomend this facility! Not only do they find excuses to defer you. They feel they need to hand out medical advice that goes against what a M.D. advises. In my case they said I had to have a total Colectomy because I had Ulcerative Colitis 10 years ago. Not only was this not reccomend by my Doctor it wasn't even advised by my GI doctor. They should stick to what they know and quit deferring people because they think they know better than a person's physician.

With the prices going up like crazy on practically everything, I decided to donate to make extra cash! Totally comes in handy! You can save a life and make money doing it. It'sa win win!

Bus loads of people from Mexico. Takes forever because of it. Not clean for a medical environment. Don't rest your head on anything got head lice from the place. Make sure they clean your bed before sitting on it. Also never any parking. I myself am Changing to Edinburg location.
