Beware of this month's payout schedule. $25 for the first donation. $30 for the 2nd. For those of us that have summer vacations planned, and can't donate 8 times this month, we get paid piddly this month. Guess I'll take a month off. Hopefully, they'll go back to a regular pay schedule next month.
Would like to say today was my first donation and Ashley made it the best. She made donating fun and easy. Ashley made the experience worth wanting to come back again. Even when her manager had a very private conversation in the open in front of me she still kept a smile and didn't hesitate to do her job. Whoever that manager lady is, if you need to have a conversation like that with an employee maybe do it behind closed doors. Ashley did not deserve to be treated like that. Ashley was an awesome phlebotomi
I just came back to start donating again after a year and a half Out of the state. My first impression was that both the front area and the donation floor looked awesome! They changed things up and it is much nicer. I have not donated four times and NEVER had to wait more than a few minutes before getting called for vitals. I also never had to wait to be called to a bed. I was sent directly to the donation floor. My start to finish time has not been more than an hour. They made nice changes with music and e
Regularly takes 45 mins to get stuck so expect it to be 2 hours if not more from getting there to leaving. The staff is nice but the wait times are insane. I've been going for 5-6 years and they are getting worse and worse.
I'm getting pretty frustrated with this place. I've been going there for about a year and the wait times keep getting longer and longer. Today I waited to donate for over and hour. Finally I had to leave because I had other engagements. The staff has been friendly most of the time so I don't have complaints about that. They need more help. They need to start treating their employees better so they can be fully staffed. They have had an sign up in the waiting area for months now, stating how they realize the
If you enjoy waiting an hour plus just to get hooked up and start donating, this is the place for you. Just bring your phone and make sure it is charged. Enjoy the 2 plus hours you will be there for your donation. It's a time to check on the news, Facebook happenings, play games, or just watch hours of YouTube. The staff are the real stars in this review. They are generally really good at what they do. They are human and will sometimes make a mistake. Who doesn't though, right? If it wasn't for the phleboto
So I couldn't get to where i can update my review. I will do it on this.So the company does not care about these complaint. As you see they responded for me to reach out so they could spek to me. I did reach out through their contact us on their website. Eeven left a voicemail. I am still waiting for someone to reach out. It's been a week now. I had my first experience today with Grifols an the interaction with them is one of the reasons I will never donate again. First it's the picture thing which I under
Been going here for couples years but it's been awhile so they had me do the physical process. I spent 45min going through the steps and when I was almost done I messed up filling the dates for my birthday. Staff member Nicole started to be very rude, I remembered what my mom would say, so smiled and brushed it off. I messaged up again and she told me I wouldn't be able to donate that day. I asked if she had an attitude which she snapped on me and told me I can't donate. I drove 35min to get there and spent
This is such a nice facility! Not as noisy and factory -like as some others. I happened to have a tech for my first time donation with them, who explained every step of the procedure as she went along, which was neat! I see some reviews saying it's slow but I liked the pace and thoroughness. I also felt like the fluid was returned more gently, my arm didn't throb like with the other place. (I just thought it was a norm until now)
I'm appalled at how my husband was treated tonight. Him and another donor showed up at 6:55pm (which we have documented proof of) for a 7pm donation and the doors were locked. They knocked on the doors, only for the reception desk nurse to look directly at them and ignore them trying to get in. They both called the center several times, with no answer (this isn't shocking, as they've never answered their phone in the almost year we've been going to this location). The guys saw a donor leave the back doors,
For 2+ years they have chronically struggled with staffing and there's never enough staff resulting in horrible staff morale, treating customers terribly, overall terrible experience.
I never leave reviews but I have to say something. This place is HORRIFIC, would leave 0 starts if I could. WAY understaffed, and the staff that is there is not trained well enough. If you do not have perfect easy peasy veins to find, do not go here. Also takes AT LEAST an hour to get hooked up to a machine. I will never ever step foot in this place again. Disgusted with the entire experience. My husband also goes here and they bruised up his arm so bad. Save yourself the hassle and try somewhere else. Upd
I have been a donor at Grifols for about a month now and I am happy with the service I have been given. Yes, they are understaffed but EVERYWHERE is understaffed. When a delay was to be expected they told me before they even checked my vitals that there would be a wait and I accepted that. If you don't want to wait an hour for your appointment, then leave when they tell you there's an hour wait! Savannah has been great to work with as well as everyone else who has worked with me. I have donated at BioLife i
I used to work at Biomat. Beware you might as well work at a factory. Only get a 30 minute break and lucky if you get to get to use the bathroom. Management and higher ups treat you like garbage. Managment talking about staff to other staff. Very unprofessional. I write this to warn others because I didn't have a warning. Best of luck.
If I could give zero stars i would!! So tired of coming in for my scheduled appointments only to have to wait for an hour just to start donating. I'm always being told there are training classes in progress to help with staff shortages but it's always the same long wait.
I love it when I can get in! Since they no longer work Sundays or 7-8 it has become almost impossible to get in there for an appointment. I really wish they'd consider staying open til 8 bc if you have multiple kids in sports or work a full time job, good luck! I do really hope Biomat is keeping track of the no shows and doesn't allow them to schedule after so many occurrences.. I really liked going there and miss having more available appointment times. Please consider- thanks!
My favorite donation place I've been to over the years. The people are so friendly and funny.
This place is the bomb. I super appreciate Nicole kindness. I do feel like complaining. It was recommended I donate on a Saturday for donation number 1 for a $40 payment. Donation 2 is supposed to be a $75 payment as per nicole recommended. I received $40 and $40. When I called to inquire WHY I was told corporate and the pay week starts on Mondays. I feel I was scammed into believing it would be a $75 payment for blood draw number 2. Wow However. I did receive a free snickers bar for writing my review. Than
I love the employees and how helpful they are whenever I need my questions answered. It's a very clean clinic as well. I just wish that there were more incentives and bonuses like there was a few years back??
I used to love this place and how flexible and convenient they were. Recently they have changed so much and even if you are a min late you can't donate. I understand keeping things flowing but how is a single parent suppose to juggle getting kids to school and everything else and not be a min late. What if there were things out of our control such as a traffic jam or car accident, bad weather, etc. things are expensive these days and I needed this to help financially but I guess I'll have to look elsewhere.
4 years later still a complete disgrace. 1.5 hours and still waiting to be connected for my donation. Very disappointed at the professionalism of management and staff. Every time I donate a staff member complains about the work environment, comments how they cannot wait for their last day, or they are job hunting for a new job. I have experienced personally multiple times poor bedside manner. I've contacted management about my concerns. At every donation I walk up to the building and there is garbage all o
I'm Incredibly pleased with the facility the staff and management! I wouldn't go anywhere else!
I guarantee this place will be out of business in the next year. From the time I walked through the front door to the time someone came over and helped me was 55 minutes. After waiting in a section for 30 minutes I was moved to another one just to sit another 25 minutes, in that time frame I was skipped 4 times. Their second biggest issue is they don't have enough staff and half of them are careless that your even there. I can't wait to go back to Biolife after seeing the service here Biolife deserves EVERY
Slooooow! You would think if somebody was checked in before someone else despite just having a low temp that they later passed they would not lose their place in line to people who arrived later than them. But common sense does not apply here
This place is a joke. The employees are the nastiest people on the planet. They literally talk trash about donors in front of others. They will just stand there and make people wait to get started. I watched 5 of them stand in a group for more than 20 minutes while there were at least 5 people waiting to start donating. You'd think it was something important for them to just stand there doing nothing. But no, just talking about their plans and joking. The girl with the black and pink hair is probably the wo
Beware of run around at this location. There have been numerous times I've been turned away from donating in recent months for ridiculous reasons. Donated here only 4-5 times in the last year or so and had as many times turned away as well. Today was the last time I'll go in there and won't try to donate here again. Turned down from donating because I had my eyes closed while working to get my heart rate down to reasonable level. Their reasoning was they thought I was sleeping and decided it was best I not
Is it normal to wait up to 30 to 40 min from the time I walk in to get hooked up? 0845 appointment, hooked up at 0923. The staff seem hurried and falling behind as though they are understaffed. Yes the compensation is just a bit higher than BioLife currently but the time it takes to donate seems unreasonable to me. If you plan on trying to donate on your lunch break or if you have other things to do after your donation, be prepared to push back any other appointments.
I have been donating here for awhile and my experiences are great. The staff is very happy and willing to help. Caitlyn always has a positive attitude and is great at her job! I will continue to donate here!
The workers are pleasant to deal with and they get you in and out.
First donation here today. Things went very smoothly. Cassidy and Dana both very helpful. The man with the big beard also nice. Didn't catch his name though. Thanks to everyone for making the first time easy!
I began donating because when I started working I did not have a personal donating experience to share with the donors, & not to toot our own horn, but I think our center here has some of the best phlebotomists. The employees are very entertaining from a donor perspective (in a good way of course), ensure the donation is doing great during the donation as well. I enjoy donating here & I recommend anyone who is willing to help save lives & just would like to make a few extra dollars on the side, to come & do
I've been donating here for 2 years and I am always happy with my experience. Everyone I dealt with has done a great job and I love the incentives they give donors! They really help me out in these hard financial times. It's awesome I get to save lives too!
Came in today and was told I couldn't donate because I was 4 minutes late. There was four people waiting for their finger stick in front of me plus a wait just to get a bed. So let's summarize this, I would have been there at LEAST an hour before I could donate, but because I was four minutes late I'm being deferred? This place is an absolute joke!
I highly recommend coming to donate with the crew here! They are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and their customer service is wonderful. All the staff is tentative and willing / eager to answer any questions that come up.
One worst centers once again, they can't even get there dates right for donor annuals. A under staffed joke, that needs be looked into, they most certainly don't have qualified people working here and don't care about there donors time or health, GET NEW MANAGMENT ITS A JOKE Update: Back to 2+ hour donations same trash management years in....same issues under staffed to many donations slots per hour like been years and they suffer same bs
I donated 800 times at a different place and was getting frustrated. I tried this location and have been well served and satisfied with my first 50 donations here. Love the kiosk option and my overall donation times!
Been donating here for over a year and must say I feel like they do a great job. Employees like Kaytlin, Bailey, Samantha, Phoebe make donating a pleasant experience.
I donated for the first time today and my experience was wonderful! Much different from some of the reviews I read. It did take about 2 hours and 45 min, but I expected that. The girls at the front desk were super. The nurse who did all the prework was friendly and knowledgeable. My actual donation only took 45 min. Overall, great experience and I plan on going back. Thank you.
The people are great. Sadly many seem to struggle with a good stick. Some seem to do it repeatedly as incompetence (as acknowledged) by other staff members. It's a shame that YOU will NOT get compensated when they defer you because of their errors. Unlike BioLife who compensates for their error. Training is needed.
Today I returned to bio not knowing what the pay for the second donation was until I walked in, And for return donors they dropped the amount from 75.00 to 55.00 which is a 20.00 drop the second donation should be higher than 55.00 or have a bonus with the 55.00 donors rely on that . The plus side the first donation went up 15.00 from 40.00 .to 55.00 . From experience I have learned while donating for six yrs going on seven, if you make an appointment of any kind on the day of your donation make it on a d
I have been donating here for over a year. Facility is always clean and staff is very nice. Scheduling is always available and the app is easy to use.
Most of the staff is great! Super friendly and talkative. But when you show up on time for your appointment, and there's not 2 or 3 people ahead of me but 8, I have a problem with that.... Even before covid there was long wait times, but now it's even longer. My appointment was at 8:15am and there was still a wait by 9am, because of having to work at 9:45am, I ended up having to leave without donating so I wouldn't be late for work. I then called to see if I could come back later tonight so I could still ge
NOT TATOO/PIERCING FRIENDLY!!!! This place used to be nice because they didn't hassle me about my body mods. (Side note I have over 20 piercings most in my ears, all professionally done with the exception of 1 done six years ago) It's been awhile since I've been here and decided to take the 40 minute drive. Not a big deal. What bothers me is that they did not tell me they updated their body mod policy until I wasted the gas driving here. It used to be four months, but now you have to wait a year unless you
The staff that is here is great! However, staff is limited. This makes wait times extremely long. (I showed up for my appointment at 2pm and did not even get seen after my questionnaire until 2:50pm.) The management here is very unpleasant and does not seem to care about donor OR employee satisfaction. As a donor, each time I come I feel bad for the staff because they work long hours, multiple days per week past what their expected to make up for Biomats donors. Management needs to either limit donors becau
I've never had any problems going there. Everybody is very helpful and nice. The only negative issue I had is trying to get ahold of somebody on the phone. Tried calling about 5 times within 2 hours and even left a voicemail. They don't get back to you sooner is my only bad issue. I get sometimes they are not fully staffed but you should always have somebody at the front answering calls and greeting people. But everything else for me there is going great and I have had no other issues.
Completed a few of my first donations here and had a great experience. Talon is one of the best phlebotomists out there, don't be afraid to check out Biomat in Menasha.
Was a BioLife guy for 15 years. Job took me to Menasha so I checked out BioMat. Huge mistake. Terrible center. Incompetent management and staff. Waiting an hour to get screened. When I finally go hooked up I had to endure the loud staff talk about what bar they were going to, how they hated their jobs and couldn't wait to find a new job. Stop donating their and have gotten lots of e-mails and even calls asking me to come back. Today I thought I'd give them one more chance. Couldn't get an appointment online
Every visit is smooth! The waiting room is superior! And the staff are very respectful and friendly? I love Grifols :)
Never a good experience the workers care more about their conversation with each other than problems with me. One time my filter clogged and I waited 20 minutes to get help. They ended up having to switch arms and told me in a derogatory way ? you need to watch what you eat?
I give this place a lot of credit for being the new kids in town and always being compared to Biolife and are still growing! I love coming here over Biomat due to the staff and environment. Management is great too! They respond to concerns in a timely manner and do what they say they are going to.
The staff are very nice and knowledgeable. I haven't had 1 issue with them. Your first donation does take awhile. Think about it. You're giving blood products. They have to do standard procedures to make sure you're healthy enough to give it, and that you aren't doing drugs. That takes awhile. Your next donations don't take nearly that long. They are a lot more friendly than most of the people at Biolife, and are a HELL of a lot closer!
I have been donating many years and would like to see management figure out appropriate amount of donors to employees. Waiting 30 minutes to be screened is not ok.. today it is 5:40 and I've been waiting 50 minutes and still not past first screening.. Employees need to respect donors? time more or I need to go elsewhere. Tonight I'm missing dinner plans with friends and family because there are so few employees working to get us through our donations. Extremely disappointed and feel sad for all those in thi
What is the reason to make an appointment. This is the waiting area. Its ridiculous and not the first time.
UPDATE: They post a reply like they care about what is going on. I called the number and relayed the complaint and never heard anything back. Very deceitful Business practices. Sent out text messages saying to get additional money on top of your base pay. When I showed up they said that was an accident and wasn't meant to be sent out. When challenged and spoke to management there they refused to honor their text. In addition they are very slow in what they do. What should take just over an hour extends int
Started donating here in 2018 and I enjoy being here instead of BioLife. They always try to respond to phone calls. The staff is amazing!
The staff is always super friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable of what they do. After my first donation I've never waited more than 5 minutes to begin the process. I usually donate plasma in 35 to 45 minutes and the entire process from start to finish is generally an hour to an hour and 20 minutes. The establishment is very clean and they even do a little decorating for holidays :)
I've been donating at this location for over a year and I have NEVER experienced anything to justify the scathing reveiws found here. Sure, there may be some longer wait times for both screening and donating, but a full waiting room isn't due to incompetance or disregard. Surely the high demand for plasma, the best compesation rates, and a friendly experience would explain a full waiting room and longer wait times. Having said that, sometimes businesses are understaffed due to a lack of available help.
Made an appointment for my 1st visit as advised by my friend who referred me. Wait time has been a bit much appointment was at 2 and 1.5 hours later havent seen the nurse for my physical yet. Seems like this may be an ongoing issue after reading other reviews. Staff seems friendly enough & appear as if they get to know the patients. They've greeted several patients by name as they've entered the building. Total time for 1st visit was 4 hours. Techs were nice & only had to poke me once. 2nd visit yesterday
Everyone is friendly and nice talon is a great phlebotomist and Dana is awesome.. Kaitlin is one of favs this is the best center to donate at recommend coming here
Overall I was happy with my move to Biomat. Though, since they have less equipment, the wait time has become very long and makes it hard for those that work and have children to donate. Also, I feel that the staff needs to work on their ability to manage the stress of working fast and efficiently, without causing harm to the participants. This then makes it less likely that they will return.
First time doner at bio mat. Staff was super friendly, conscious and clean! Can't wait for my second donation. Thank you ladies and gentlemen. I think Karlee pricked me today and I will definitely be requesting her again. She seems very professional and knowledgeable!
having to change my review because the last 3 times have wasted my time. Should not take 45 minutes or more to get hooked yo to a machine.
The staff is always friendly, and they take their work seriously. Management is terrible. They will kick you out for asking questions.
When I first started going here, I was in and out under an hour. Now that they have added appt. Slots, then added the donor portal, and now onto some other type of appt. Setter....it's more like 2 or more hours. Super understaffed, after about 4, there is no sense of urgency from employees. They just kind of lolligag around. This is ridiculous. I don't understand how the appointments we're supposed to make everything "better" but all it's done is waste my time, and piss people off.
75% of the time this place is an absolute joke. The staffing is a serious issue! You wait twice as long to get onto the donor floor as your actual donation would be. That's if you even make it to the donor floor! Don't waste your time with bio mat, just go to bio life.
Received their flyer in the mail so made an appointment and was told to come in at 11:30am. I was there by 11:20am and told to "sit." By 11:40am, I still was not seen and when I went up and asked how long I had to wait before I was seen, the lady acted all surprised and thought I was being "take care of." Needless to say two hours later, I was seen by a nurse only to be told I was "deferred." It was a waste of time.
I love biomat! Clean environment and fast machines! I prefer biomat vs BioLife personally. You can also schedule your appointments online and answer your before visit questions online before you come! No standing at a computer (unless you want to) :)
I've had nothing but great donations at grifols. Staff are amazing on handling any situation and making sure that donors are comfortable and taken care of.
Always great staff, very communicative, and will give recommendations on how to be able to donate if you get differed
I hadn't donated in a year , went back in today and was remembered and greeted warmly!!!! Had to re take my physical which was done by Tom who was very friendly !!! HE was training a new young woman she was extremely talented and polite !! Her name slips my mind sorry:) i was even wished an early happy birthday when I was in the holding pod to donate . Thanks to all the friendly staff !!!!
My 1st vist was great my 2nd one, the ladys in the front desk, were just standing around, and rude, they dident help at all i stood at the desk for 5 minutes while 4 ladies stood there talking. If you are 7 minutes late they cancel your appointment and are super rude about it.. when you do donate the checkin process is super inefficient compared to biolife.. takes slmost 30 minutes versus about 10 at biolife.. staff is unprofessional always chitchatting with each others while donors are left waiting
I enjoy donating plasma. It's a win win. However, I returned to Biomate Menasha after being away for more then a yr. I was told at my physical that I would get new donor fee for the month and could get up to $1000 for the month. Disappointed I have received much less and only got new donor compensation for 2 weeks, not the entire month. Over all the staff are friendly and helpful.
I tried donating plasma at the end of last year (2022) and I failed the physical because they're physician told me I had a heart murmur which I never knew about before, and long story short I was informed from my doctor that I had to go to heart and vascular and now I'll be under going open heart surgery to fix my mitral valve. You guys saved my life. So thank you!!!! I can't thank you guys enough!!
Love this place! My favorite employee Maghan moved up to another position. But all the staff is great to work with.
Do not waste your time here!! Been donating for years and decided to try this place out! Gave them benefit of the doubt for just starting up, but had constant frustrations with the staff here! Was made late to work, had notified emplo yee something was wrong with my return and employee walked away and didn' t notify anyone! Let an employee know my frustrations and began to debate with me about it and kept arguing with me , i had to ask her to stop talking because she was making situation worse and asked fo
Amazing experience, friendly staff clean professional environment! As a former bio life donor I can't recommend this place enough.
It has become very clear to me that the employees here are not very considerate of their donors time. I for one will not be donating with them anymore. I have been a faithful donor for 3 years and have seen many many staff come and go. I'm done with Grifols
Friendly staff and people. Since starting I have noticed it has gotten busier because sometimes their short staffed. I don't get upset with them because it will only make them upset while they are doing the best they can. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
I've donate plenty of times. Then after starting to get nervous during the pulse test, knowing I have to pass to donate, I had too high a pulse 4 times. The nurses even told me they know why it's high. They said their doctor would need to review my chart before I could donate again. I said ?Ok.? and asked they just put in a note explaining what everyone already knew, that i get nervous during the pulse test knowing I HAVE to pass. Came back the next day and I was told I have to see my primary doctor to chec
Amazing! Fast, friendly, great compensation. Safe, a good cause. What are you waiting for? Call today!
I have been donating for two months now and Biomat is meeting my expectations. Before coming to Biomat, I donated blood for years and years but of course there is no payment for blood donations. The staff are helpful and efficent. The donor debit card is loaded in about 30 minutes. Keep an eye out for bonus specials. Let me know if there is any questions on how to get started.
Strictly worse than going to Biolife. In every aspect this center is inferior. Customer service is comparable, some days good some days only okay. There is no daycare center for children. Processing takes far longer even on slow days. If its busy you'll end up sitting and waiting a long time to find out if you're eligible to donate. Biolife will get you processed faster, with more people working the processing section and less people standing around doing nothing. The machines themselves are worse as well.
My first visit took over 3 hours. I noticed there are to many staff members working the counter than there are in the donation center. Staff is friendly but slow. They need to manage staff better
For all you people complaining that it takes too long on your first donation why wouldn't it? They have to take precautions to make sure your not a drug addict you don't have some kind of STD even if you don't know about it they are taking plasma out of you to use as medicine for other people that cannot be taken lightly just like giving blood I love this place better than BioLife for sure they are a lot more friendly than them and know what they are doing they just opened up in December 16 you gotta give
Went today at 1:45pm and donated plasma. Everything went perfect besides it's 9pm and they never paid me. I highly encourage you to use BioLife if you can. FYI I was also in a waiting room for 45 mins before I could donate as well.
Staff most of the time have attitudes then threaten to kick you out once you give it back. They definitely need a lot more work with their communication skills and how they treat the people that donate
Love the staff. Super nice and knowledgeable. They always make my donation fun.
Donating at Grifols?s is a fun experience. I earn extra money. And the workers are all so nice.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
