Came as a new donor at around 5 pm. The wait was pretty long, which is expected at plasma donation clinic when people get off in the afternoon. But the staff were friendly and helpful. They were patient with me as I asked a couple questions to make sure I was in the right spot to wait etc. The staff were also very attentive to the donors as well, making sure to check if they were feeling okay and reminding them of tips to make donation faster and easier. I'll definitely be coming back to this location th
I love this place. Christina is the best tech I've ever seen in the 25yrs I've been donating here. Her knowledge and abilities are wizard like,no joke, clearly the linch pin of the whole operation. The rest of the staff deserves some credit too. Most are very helpful with good attitude. Give em a break though and schedule early in the morning or afternoon. Too many people try to go near the end of the day and it gets backed up, easily doubling the time you'll be there.
I'd give zero stars if I could. Worst place on the planet. They make excuses at every turn not to see you. Appointment only yet you need a Hail Mary miracle to even get them to honor it. Staff are talking on the phone instead of doing anything. Some guy got sent away after waiting 4 hours to donate. Someone should just shut this place down.
It is quite refreshing to know that friendly customer service is still alive and well. Everyone I have had the pleasure to meet at the Mesa Grifols Plasma Donation Center is extremely pleasant to talk with. I've not seen this much good server/client relationship in a long time, even in places like restaurants where tipping is customary.
So I just went inside and there are around 7 people in there and the lady told me that they are booked for the rest of the day and that I had to make an appt. That's bullshit cause I went in about 2 weeks ago and there was one nurse and about 20 people in the lobby and she didn't tell me that. I left because she had a lot of people and I wasn't gonna do that to her but there are 3 nurses up front and lobby not full and I have to make an appt? I have also been here 4 different times and they are always givin
What can I say wait time was lengthy but let's consider some circumstances, staffing was thin but the employees that were present were professional, found humor in little things under an immense work load and kept things moving at a steady pace. Lina is a rockstar her attitude, professionalism, and dedication are unmatched. This isn't fast food it's health care you don't want someone sticking you with a needle to be quick you want accuracy and assurance this procedure will go smoothly everytime. I get th
If you're thinking about donating plasma and are in Mesa, AZ, this is the spot! The staff here are super friendly and make you feel at ease from the moment you walk in. I was a little nervous since it was my first time, but they took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. The place is clean and well-organized, and the whole process is really smooth. Check-in was quick, and I barely had to wait, which was awesome. You can tell they care about keeping things safe and making donors comfor
Place has fallen apart, used to come here years ago when everything was smooth. Came here a couple of days ago, staff seems to be lost. The wait is absurd, All I can say is stay away until they hire people who are actually qualified.
Worst plasma center ever! My huband, daughter and friend went and all 3 have benn cheated out of there referral payouts, had there donation payouts modified for various reasons. The staff is rude, have 1 excuse after another for not paying the correct amounts, and if you disagree they defer you. Very unprofessional and unskilled.
This place takes forever! They never have enough employees and making an appointment does not get you in any sooner, they still go in the order of when people arrive.
It's only by appointment, but YOU WILL WAIT around 2 hours after your appointment just to get called for a vitals check. The staff here don't care much about your time or complaints. I've been to all other centers in the valley, and this location is the slowest. When I asked a staff member, why have an appointment system, if it's not useful, she laughed and said "right". If avoidable, I would say sick to other locations. I personally have walked away from my appointment 4 times.
Staff were excellent at every turn. Been donating for a long time now and this was by far the best place I've donated at.
Recently moved to the area and this was 1st time donating here. The staff was super pleasant and helpful and made sure I understood all the requirements. They also walked me thru every step so I knew what to expect on this and subsequent appointments. The place is clean and safe. The person sticking me (sorry, can't remember the name) to collect the plasma had no issues. Will be going back and highly recommend to others.
My name's Damion. Always see if you can get Christina, she's one of the most sweetest people ever and is a delight to talk to. You rock Christina.??
At first I was frustrated , but the staff here realized it , and did everything they could to help my situation , and they as well as I were successful, very satisfied, great job
I have been coming here to donate plasma for about a year. I have had quite a few different people stick me. They are all good. But Anna is one of the best. Today when she started on me we were talking while she worked and then I was looking at my phone for a moment, I looked down at my arm and saw that she had already stuck me. I never even felt it! This is a first! Like I said the phlebotomists are all good and it's rare for it to hurt but to not even feel it at all that is Rare!
Sometimes we do not realize what employees have to bring in to work the load they carry Christina on Dobson grifols has a severe back problem but she still goes above and beyond for her customers that's something to cherish THANKYOU CHRISTINA FOR ALL THAT YOU DO WE LOVE YOU??????
Staff always extremely rude, belligerent. Conditions are sub par and disgusting. Do not donate here. There are way better plasma donation centers available that offer way more. Will never recommend this hot garbage of a business.
By far the WORST donation experience of my life!!!! *Mind you this is a review of my own personal experience. I advise all that are looking into donating at this location to read their reviews, then make their decision*. This was my 3rd donation at Biomat. My second donation had an added hour and a half, as staff "misplaced" my chart. However, for not complaining I was given a VIP card that allows you head of the line access. I appreciated that greatly. This occasion, however was overshadowed by a heavy h
Went there and wasn't able to schedule an appointment. Even though it was 3 day period mark, the last time this happened to my schedule this nice old lady was able to help me right then and there with the problem and get me in that day! Instead the guy with the tattoos didn't really help at all and the girl with the red hair gave attitude and was just as worse. I've been a doner here for two years and never experienced this till now. Then continued to lie to me about the 3 day period, even though they said
I needed a few extra bucks and had some concerns and the interaction with the new leadership was outstanding, he listened and addressed my concerns in a professional and timely manner. I recommend this place. Well done.
It is always a friendly experience when I come in here. The staff really makes it a point to treat you like a person and not just a bottle of plasma. Mariah is always greets with a big smile and always asks how you are doing. There is a genuine respect when you come in here to donate!
Unfair Compensation for Extra Plasma Donation I've been donating plasma here for some time, but recently, they started a new program called ?Persona? where they take more plasma from people based on their height, in addition to weight. As someone taller, they now take 1 liter of plasma from me, while someone smaller donates as little as 640 mL. However, despite taking 56% more plasma from people like me, they don't compensate us any more for the extra time it takes or for the additional nutrients we lose.
Very nice place BUT I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW TERRIBLE ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES COMMUNICATION IS!!! I've been back and forth from the doctors, to grifols so many times I've genuinely thought of going to a different location to donate plasma but still I somehow think that the next time I go, I can finally donate.... I'm back home after they said my W-2 with my name AND address was not valid as PROOF I LIVE THERE!!! I don't know if I should go back. Seriously, what is wrong with those employees??!!
This place is trash when it comes to customer service . The phlebotomist there are too worried about gossiping with the clients or flirting and don't pay attention to the people needing to get on or off the monitor. It's dirty and they bearly do a quick job after someone gets off the chair to sanitize for the next client . Most of them look like they are tired of working or have an attitude . The atmosphere sucks and drains the good energy out of me every time I go donate. I will definitely be changing dona
They are completely ridiculous. They blame you if you take to long not the people that work for them. Wont blame the machines that break down a lot. Will tell you how to eat and drink before you donate. Completely trying to control you and won't let you donate until it's all under control. Worse place ever. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER go here. Let them go under. Also the management is the worst EVER.
Don't go here. I sat waiting for over 45 mins with an appointment just to be told that I didn't have accessible veins in my left arm. Never been told that before. I've been to CSL over 24 times and they've never required me to have two veins that's ridiculous and then two years ago they turned me away because I was taking a certain blood pressure medicine. This place is a waste of time they're not professional doctors and the guy who was trying to my van was probably just out of prison so there's that.!
I had an excellent experience at this plasma center. The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. The screening process was thorough, and the staff took the time to answer all of my questions. The actual donation process was quick and easy, and I was able to relax in a comfortable chair while donating. Overall, I highly recommend this plasma center to anyone looking to donate plasma. Thank you for prov
Out of all the places I have ever donated to, this is my favorite. Christina is awesome! She makes you feel welcome and always does a great job. Joe, Yonna, Rosy, and Early also deserve a shoutout for doing good jobs, and Emma is missed! did not give it a 5 star because it seems to me that management can do better with staffing so things don't get so backed up. I also think the staff here needs something as far as safety to protect them from crazy people who enter. Keep up the good work!
Compared to other centers this site is DEFINITELY a step above the rest, the staff is incredibly friendly, Jesse in the booths up front in particular has an amazing smile and is incredibly kind. She knows how to not only move patients quickly through the booth but make you feel like your the only other person in the building that matters ^.^ the wait times are almost always less than 15-20 min AT MOST from walking in the door to getting started on the machines and even in the back where the patients get ho
I think they took way too much Plasma from a 111lb 5'2" female. I had a seizure and when I came to I asked all of he staff if I had a seizure. They told me I had FAINTED. I was biting my tongue and I haven't been able to feel it since.
I wish I could give this place a -5!! I would suggest that they retrain their people, not only do they never find my vains, and whenever they do find them I still end up bruised and hurting! I Have been to different plasma centers in several different states and this place is the worse!! The one in Wisconsin should send their people to Mesa Az to properly train them. Lastly their customer service front desk workers also need to take a Healthcare Administration course! Not all their works but definitely the
The past couple of times that I have come to donate, the wait is ridiculous. If you are required to set an appointment and arrive 15 minutes early, then why are we waiting for up to two hours for the appointment!? I get up at 4am for work. Set a 4:30pm. appointment and I don't leave the donation center until after 7pm. Very disrespectful of the donor's time!!! HIRE MORE EMPLOYEES!!!
Love them. I'm a deep vein, they do a pretty good job at sticking me. Very friendly, pretty good at remembering people. Great payout. And they do raffles now and then. Easily make $500+ a month. Been doing it for 3 years now. The physical is easy and quick.
Inexperienced technician (NOT an actual licensed and properly educated phlebotomist which they should absolutely be) caused IV Infiltration In my left arm vein with while setting me up to be plasmaasphered. Caused pain and discomfort, as well as increased risks of nerve damage and even amputation in some cases. Not an issue to be taken lightly. Instead of following proper medical procedure in the case of an IV infiltration such as applying a cold compress, reminding me to elevate my arm, and perhaps assist
It used to be a good place, however, they've gone down in customer service quality. Permanently deferring someone because they can't remember if they got the piercings six or eight years ago is ridiculous, we all get piercings and we all forget when we get them. Especially if they healed over years ago. The staff member who told me did treat me well, but 100% will not recommend this place. Their policies are ridiculous and outdated. If they were going to defer someone for something so small, it's not worth
This place is understaffed and the staff who are here are overworked. Apparently some guy named Rick started here and changed a lot of the rules and policies. Whether it's the wait times, or the payouts that have gone down over time, the trajectory of this place seems to be going downhill. I used to look forward and coming to see all these smiling faces who were excited to come to work and provide this service. Now when I get here everybody but Quentin and Lauren seem to be displeased about coming to work
Love coming here. The staff is always nice and pleasant to be around. The facility is always in great shape by staying clean. I have much respect for everyone who works here. They are all hardbworking and very friendly. Can't see my self leaving this center for another. Keep up the great work!
When starting my donating I was supper thrilled with the whole process. Super friendly and fast staff, very gentle and attentive. Recently they have become so understaffed it appears everyone they do have is just burnt out. Often I've spent a an hour between my actual check in and my hook up for donating, I also have waited 40 minutes just to be screened to donate. There's one woman at the front who never seems to be friendly let alone appear to wanna be working. I've come in with questions and she's very s
NOT worth it. use to pay 1$20 a week now down to $105, they slowly make up different pay schemes to make it look good, but it has come down every 3 months and they have less people working. They re all GREAT very nice people. But the higher ups are scamming you. because less personnel and less pay to do does would men drugs are cheaper... we all know that is not happening drugs are getting more expensive NOT WORTH it. they don't even post how much they pay anymore. So any minute know now 5 bucks less
Way better staffed than most other donation places, both within the same company and others as well. Very clean and for the most part pretty efficient. Always throw in (even though I usually miss them) little contests etc. Usually have movies or shows playing on the tvs. Also Eliza and Ruby do a great job!
S/o to Kristina Blood, made me feel welcomed in a new place. The whole team was amazing also no doubt so if you wanna find a place to donate and feel valued for it come here ????
Why do they have tons of appointments if they can't honor the times??? What's the point of making an appointment when you still have to wait a whole hour to get checked in and taken to the back? There should be max 2 apps allowed every 15 mins, how do they get so behind??? After waiting an hour I went up and said they were calling back people who checked in after me, she said that's because they are new patients and on a different list, then they called in a girl who WASNT new before me, then I got up agai
I love coming here. The staff is fast, polite, and professional. It is very clean and organized. Christina is the nicest and funniest one there! I love her bouncy hair and personality, but she is also professional and sweet.
Overall experience here has been positive. Courtney, at the Mesa location, was a bit short with me when I entered after someone had left. I didn't know that they (employee) had to let me in. I showed up at 510 for a 515 appointment. I won't show up early again. Hopefully that will fix the issue. Working with the public daily I know how important it is to start off on the right foot. It would have been appreciated if the employee was more polite. A nice please and thank you always makes things better.
edit: do not leave a review while you're at biomat, they will absolutely come over and confront you while you're hooked up to the machine and refuse to leave you alone when you tell them it's an inappropriate time for a confrontation being harassed by a manager over a review while I'm physically restrained and unable to leave was incredibly disrespectful it now comes to a point that we're being physically confronted and harassed about our honest feedback to other individuals that are considering using the
The staff is amazing. Super friendly. They make the process seem so easy. I look forward to going here 2 days a week. Merna is the best phlebotomists I have ever had.
I've been coming to this location for a few years now. I'll come and go so I'm not always consistent. But what is, Is the friendliness you'll meet here. Everyone cares about your well being throughout the process. Christina has been the person I've requested the most since she exemplifies this everyday! I have yet to have bad experience here and look forward to the many donations a head.
This is a great place to donate plasma! The staff is awesome, making you feel comfortable and at ease in case you've never donated before!
The 2 people at the front desk need etiquette training. Extremely rude. First time visit and they had me wait over 1 1/2 hours before they even scanned my paperwork to have me screened. And when I asked about what was going on, one of them started telling at me. And that is when she provided my information to the screening person. So VERY unprofessionaland RUDE.
I come to Biomat for my routine plasma donation. The staff is always great, they always greet me with a smile. Today my experience at Biomat was not was not the best, as waiting time has gotten worse, especially in the late afternoon. Unsure if they are taking new donors all day or over booking. There needs to be better system put into play by upper management for donor experience. Today my appt was 6:45 pm, I didn't get call back for screening until 7:40pm, didn't get hooked up until 8:15 pm. Finally finis
Pretty good employees work here. Every friendly. Zilla is the best by far I've been here.
I've donated a total of 6 times and on 3 occasions (50% of my sessions) I've had to be restuck in the other arm. One occurance I had a vein bleeding inside my arm (I don't recall the specific medical term) and apparently it was a serious issue which was handled but still quite concerning. The phlebotomists here (if they are licensed professionals, Im not sure) are not gentle and don't take their time. An IV should not be very painful, mine hurt every time beyond my past experiences in a hospital setting. Th
I have received great service from Christina and Brittany and many others at this location. Very friendly and caring staff. If you are looking for a way to help others get the life saving medicine they need and earn some money while you do it I recommend stopping by.
Since Chuck has entered the scene such a better and more personable environment. Calls you by name. Welcomes you in GO CHUCK !!! Everyone is Great!! If Chuck had not taken over and made this a much friendlier experience I am sure donors and staff would be gone . He has turned the whole vibe around. Keep it up Chuckles!!!
Good experience every time I go. Was scared bc I had never donated plasma when I 1st went but now im nearly 20 donations in. They care and are experienced. Any time I've had a problem where maybe I didn't eat enough the day before and felt a little faint they caught it immediately and rushed to my aid. And I was fine after.. They are thurough, attentive and diligent. Will continue to go! You have my trust.
I came here 4 times. The first time I was treated very well. The lady was super helpful!! The next 3 times I kept getting denied. The first time I was denied because they bruised both my arms from my first donation, second time I had high blood pressure, third time I was denied because of the first two times I was denied which I feel wasn't fair especially since the first time I was denied wasn't my fault it was theirs for bruising my arms.
Great staff that make you feel like you are surrounded by a group of friends. Unlike CSL, the staff will talk to you and get to know you. Every time I walk they know my name and always have big smiles on their faces!
I was having a horrible day before I came to donate. I was assisted by Yonna a worker at the center asked about my day and have me encouraging words that made things so much better?. This place will pay you to donate as well as be an ear n shoulder to lean on?. Thanks for the support again Yonna 4-11
????????????????AVOID THIS LOCATION... Do there medical malpractice...IM ALMOST LOST MY LIFE...there entire FACILITY shut off ,the lights turn off ,the machines turn off ,they couldn't get into there freezer so they where more worried about saving there jobs and finding a way into the freezer to put plasma they left out, while I was connected to the MACHINE with a numerous amount of blood from my body stuck in there machine...they failed to have a BACK up generator in there MEDICAL FACILITY to keep the mach
I am AMAZED at the kindness the employees show me every time I'm there. Especially Jess. She made me feel like an old friend the the first time I met her. It made the whole process much easier. I'd give more stars if I could.
I was a long time donor for Grifols. Started out at the location in phoenix but switched centers to mesa. On my first donation, everything was okay. On my 2nd donation here, they ran into issues and ended up resticking my arm multiple times. After that I decided to wait a few weeks before returning since it has caused me issues. After yet again being turned down, I'm afraid I'll just take my business elsewhere. To be clear, I've had absolutely no issues with donating until I came to this center in Mesa. A
I am a new donor (3rd time) & my experience at this location thus far has been a very pleasant one. Every one has been very kind, informative, & overall welcoming! Also, shout out to Courtney for being so relatable...would have never known she was one a the supervisor!
My Aunt referred me to this location and I am glad this place exists with the promotions they offer. The service, however, is awful. The associates complain the entire time about other associates and having to work. This morning when checking into my 5:15 appointment I was told I could not donate because it was within 7 days of my last donation. Mind you, this is false, it is 7 days from the day of your first appointment. Meaning if you had an appointment Tuesday 9/28, then you're 2nd on Friday 10/1, you ar
Absolute worst customer service and patient care. PLEASE GO TO CSL PLAMSA INSTEAD
This is the worst donation location in the valley. They do NOT honor promotions sent out from their company for everyone they choose who gets the bonuses and who doesn't even if you have email confirmation showing the promotion. The "make an appointment" still takes 95 minutes after appointment to get in a bed. Then sit there for 25 minutes. This place needs new management "Berta is rude and dismissive" the staff is over worked and understaffed. Something needs to change this is my second donation and I w
This place do not have alot people to help u out at all and make u want all day then sorry can't help u
if you donate after work make sure to call because they say they are open until 7pm but they like to start turning people away 60-90 minutes before close because management doesn't understand scheduling or how to keep qualified employees (so their turnover is high and they are often understaffed.) So if you don't want to waste your time and gas call if it's after 5:30 pm. (i've been turned away 3 times this month, once i even called at 5pm got there by 6pm and they were already turning people away.) Just re
Great experience. You get to schedule your appointments besides the very 1st time you go in but after that its faster than other places & faster/ newer machines than csl. Its also just a better experience than other plasma donation places ive been to in the past
Where do I even begin? This facility has zero respect for a donors time. The amount of my time that they have unnecessarily wasted is unacceptable. I can't speak for anyone else but I was treated like they were suspect of me or like I had done something wrong. They are quite abrupt and rude. They sit you in a chair, don't tell you their names and leave you until it's over. One guy kept calling for help because his line had come out and plasma was spilling all over the place. They didn't take him seriously a
I honestly feel that there are some serious issues between the higher ups and the staff at this facility there should be no reason that I see the entire staff unhappy!! The staff here do a amazing job!!! I really hope they are not being mistreated!!!
This was my first time donating and I had a really good experience everyone was friendly and they got to us fast this is by far the best plasma place. I went to csl twice and they act like they couldn't find my veins but I came here and everything went fine I will keep coming and definitely recommend others to switch or start coming here if you thinking about it cause you won't regret it.
This place has become my favorite plasma spot, and it's all because of one person.. Jesse. She makes each experience fun and relaxing. I used to hate giving plasma until she started working here. Grifols better never let her go ??
I Love this place!!! it's always clean, christina and daniel are my favorites they have never failed to stick me incorrectly ( only had the needle go in wrong once but my veins are light and move around alot ). Afternoon staff moved quickly but safely. only complain id have is the one time i came in the morning staff wasn't all that friendly or nice in my opinion but i?m not much of a morning person either so not much to complain about love you guys !!!
If it was possible to rate lower than one star I would do it as many times possible. Never before have I had such an infuriating experience. The technician assisting me was so beyond incompetent it is amazing to me that she even found a way to be employed. After waiting for 3.5 hours to donate plasma because she didn't understand why I was taking donor approved medication I was turned away. The medicine was approved, but because she didn't know how to put it in the right format on her computer she made me s
I just had a bad experience with this company over the last 2 days. First, yesterday Sept 27th 2022, they are blaming their paperwork issues on information they had about me from 2008 and saying that it took over 2.5 hours yesterday just to get me to the point of getting a physical because of "their new system". Then because I asked for a manager about it and pushed the issue that I had already been there for 2.5 hours they rushed through paperwork and ended up deleting everything. (The guy who did this was
I'm not the kind of person who write reviews about stuff, especially about a plamsa center but today everything was GREAT. This place always have these hoilday events that they go out of there way for. Halloween, Christmas and now Valentine's day. The treats was great and the extra money you get from happy hour are always great. The staff are friendly and the place is clean but i suggest you come in when its not busy because you will have to wait for a while. Other then that, keep up the great work
This place is so under staffed even if you've completed everything but the donation process it takes them between 3-5 hours to get you through the process and they turn you away with only 4 people in the lobby asking you to come back @5am the next day with the deplorable offer of an extra $10 for your donation they need to hire more staff if they plan on staying open. They also require all new donors to have a blood test done prior to donating anything so after you spend the 3-5 hours you still don't get pa
My husband has been going here since he was 18 years old he's 40 now absolutely love the place staff managers are the best
This place beats all other places I've donated before. The appointment process helps things go much faster. The staff is always polite and when it does take longer than usual or expected they do everything they can to accommodate you. I especially enjoy and appreciate Rebeca for always being kind and caring.
I have been donating here for a year as of today. I log in at the kiosk and sit & wait like anyone else. Quite a few times I have been skipped and other people have went ahead of me. When I get to the lay down beds I feel comfortable with staff. They are always quick to get you in & out and wrapped up. I returned for a yearly physical with an appointment at 9. I showed early, got screened and called back 11:30+ during physical I was asked if I was looking at my phone. No I replied "I am looking at the pen i
This facility really makes you feel comfortable about donating. I have been going here for 2 years. The staff is amazing and works tireless to get the donors in and out. Last night I noticed Roberta really working hard to get the donors processed quickly. The machine I was donating on had difficulties. Rebecca, came out from the lab and was in the middle of backing up others during a rush, noticed my machine, called Matt and they both fixed the issue. After that, Natalie Ryan and Rebecca, stayed attentive t
Walked in at first like normal had no assistance signing in for first timer . Waited for them to call me for a hour prior signing in they didn't even notice me until I came up to the lady and ask her what's next. She seem lost I had a id and proof of address didn't want take it with out my social just of waste of time unprofessional in my opinion .
Waited a total of 6 hours over 2 days and didnt even get to donate. The staff here is disjointed and unprofessional, and pointed me in circles until i gave up and left.
My first experience was great! I knew that it would take approx 4 hours as a first time donor due to paper work, screening and physical exam so I was prepared. The only thing I was not prepared for was how cold the facility was; definitely bring a sweater or small blanket (better to have and not need than to need and not have, believe me!) The facility was clean and the staff was friendly, helpful and answered all my questions.
$100 for the first 10 visits!! Marlon was super cool! Helped me win a free shirt
40 minutes from appt time to getting stuck and it's been like this for too long. You are infringing on my ROI(the I is my time) Need to get a floor manager who knows how to run a floor and do something to help out when needed. More times than not she is involved conversation with a particularfew staff membersrather than doing her job. Cut the chit chat out and do something....absolutely worthless. I do have more experience than 95% of the people in the that building. Vegas is way busier with way more
Your Facility Of Technicians At Biomat Mesa Are The Best At What They Do. Mariah, Joe, And Gracey You Are Exceptional, Excellent Workers!!! ???
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
